i completely fucking lost the post and forgot who it was but i was inspired by a batfamily & pokémon au so here

alfred:

- florges (not exactly alfred’s, but maintains the manor gardens)

- eevee/umbreon (got eevee from his parents, evolved when his powers emerged)

- ampharos (it started following him as signal and he ended up taking it home)

- shinx/luxio/luxray (saved from a trafficker during his we are robin days, patrols with him as signal)

- litten/torracat (first pokémon, given to him by talia, patrols with him)

- rufflet/braviary (gift from bruce, evolves once damian does emotionally)

- fletchling/fletchinder (gift from dick once he becomes robin, patrols with him)

- miltank (basically just batcow)

babs:

- porygon/porygon2 (her first pokémon)

- rotom (can infiltrate electronic devices, helpful for destroying evidence as oracle)

- joltik/galvantula (can suck out electricity from buildings, helps oracle and is also just cute)

- buneary/mega lopunny (gift from bruce, patrolled with batgirl)

The Pokemon Babs are so cool.. We have a lot. Lmao

In order from when we got them is like.. Eevee, meowth, vaporeon, flareon, jolteon, glaceon, umbreon, sprigatito

Most of them are made of minky fabric with the exception being the older eevee. It feels similar to Puppy (Jazwares sleeping flareon) but not quite

drew the girls from DQB2 as an excuse to draw them all together while practicing facial expressions

tbh, I don't hate Lulu anymore (now when I say that I dislike her, I only mean it in a joking sense), and while I did find Anessa pretty lukewarm at best with my first impressions, she did grow on me and I usually take her and Malroth (and a Sabre Cub) when I venture to the Explorers Shores. Of course I really do like Rosie and Babs from the start :P

Also fond of these Pokemon as well. Sylveon's my second favourite Eeveelution and it's ALWAYS the Eeveelution I evolve my Eevee into in Pokemon X. Floragato is my favourite: middle starter evolution, starter Pokemon, and grass type (despite all of my Sprigatito and Meowscarada art + talk, though I love all three stages of weed cat). I've always liked Scorbunny since its reveal and I found out the starter evolutions on the day of SWSH's release and it solidified my choice to pick Scorbunny, and I find Cinderace to be pretty cool (love its signature move's animation, shame they nerfed the Pyro Ball animation in gen 9). While I initially thought its design was odd, Vaporeon eventually grew on me a lot and now it's my third favourite Eeveelution (plus I adore its shiny, it's like a giant gummy), it's usually my go to water type whenever I don't pick the region's water starter.

Build-a-Bear collection update, since Mom got me this adorable dinosaur onsie set to put on my Bearlien, so I decided it was time to show the whole BAB fam

So, we have

Zeke the Eevee (named for my first hatched Eevee in Pokémon Y, who is now a Sylveon), who was a gift from a friend for Christmas, which humorously has a barking dog sound chip. Cutely, Zeke's heart wish she did was "I hope you get a puppy for Christmas", which actually happened, and that puppy was Tori, ha. My oldest BAB, actually.

Easter Tie-Dye Stitch, rocking a recently obtained tropical shirt to change out his "I'm So Eggs-tra" shirt.

Sonic Movie 2 "Miles Tails Prower". He has the sound chip that has 5 Movie Phrases. Partially paid for by friend as a gift.

Britto Bear. Britto was a find on Mercari by my Mom, who realized that the artist was one that I admired the Disney statues from, so Britto is mine now. Currently rocking neon swim jams and an "I Bearlieve" shirt, since I wanted to change out the "Just My Type" Pikachu and Eevee Valentine's Day shirt I had on him.

Jellybean the Rainbow Hearts Triceratops. Christmas gift, she has a cotton candy scent disc installed. Is currently wearing Tropical Leaf Maxi Dress and pink undies (obviously, she has to have something on under that). Absolutely had to have because I love dinosaurs and quite honestly enjoy bright the vibrant colors of the rainbow as a vibe (this would have definitely been a toy I would have chosen as a kid if I had ever been able to go to BAB back in the day, but it was always too expensive for us back then so I'd just look in the shops at the mall with envy)

Hakuna Matata ("Matty") the Worry-Free Bear, who has the most decked out outfit, with grey checked pjs, a gray hoodie, some white boxers and a face mask tucked in the front pocket. He has a lavender scent disc. He was purchased shortly after having to say goodbye to my late cat, Shy, and I needed a mood booster. I picked lavender scent both because it's a sensory thing, but also because purple was a designated color for Shy, and lavender is also a color.

Cosmic the Bearlien, wearing a dinosaur onsie and some pink undies (can't wear pjs without them!), and they're a new addition to the group, being a limited time deal and I watched that page like a hawk for over a month until they went live. Combines the absolute awesomeness of aliens and dinosaurs in one sweet package.

I really need to be good now and try to at least wait for a Werewolf BAB to drop before I try to snag a new bear. It's so dang easy to fall in love with these cuties, especially when you have a rewards account and you have to keep thinking "... I can't get them all, I need to just find one that's the perfect one right now that I can't live without, or at least a new shirt to refresh the fashion..."

top 5 pokemon lol?

HHHHHHHHH I love Pokémon too much and am too indecisive to pick an actual top 5, so I’ll answer the first 5 I love that come to mind. I love so many Pokémon and I am very indecisive so have random Pokémon in a list (that is not in order bc idk actual order THERES TOO MANY GOOD OPTIONS OK SHHH)

Oh god I typed too much I’ll format this later but hve a Pokémon info dump!!

1. Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff (kinda the whole line but mostly these two), okay I know technically this is more than one but shhh. This is like 89% nostalgia from multiple sources. For one, mystery dungeon is iconic and that’s that. For two I really loved jigglypuff in the anime a kid, I thought them singing washes the prettiest thing so I’d replay it to sing a long, and I always felt super bad tht no one would listen/couldn’t listen and appreciate their pretty voice :( ALSO for 3 back when I was a kid, I was playing through heartgold/soulsilver (can’t remember which), and before the first elite four I was training up random Pokémon go evolve them for the Pokédex while I trained my actual team. So I was training jigglypuff in order for them to evolve, except then they didn’t. Because jigglypuff evolves with a stone and not by level up. So I ended up trying for so long tht it was my highest level Pokémon after a while, I’m talking like upper 80s high level. I eventually figured out it evolved with a stone, I think by buying stones from pokeathalon and seeing I could use it. It was supposed to be a temporary Pokémon party member, but i had it for SO LONG, that I got attached and ended up going through the rest of the game with a level 80+ wigglytuff. Also Bow jigglypuff in smash is top tier.

2. Gardevoir, absolutely classic I’ve had in multiple games. The first one I ever had. Was in X/Y, I saw you could get one in the early flower fields and SUPER wanted one. So I ended up catching one, except when I nicknamed it I accidentally pressed enter too early so it ended up being named Bi, with it’s only move confusion... 2ndly, Gardevoir is one of the very few Pokémon I actually worked on competitively! Kind of. Also one of my few natural shinies! I will always have a soft spot for it since it’s kind of become the mascot of me and @pufle10 friendship! For context, we were breeding because we wanted to do double battles for the Ultra sun/moon battle tree to see how long we could go. So one time when we were hanging out, we went to one of my favorite places to eat, and as a joke while I was hatching eggs they did like a lil hand motion over my ds saying “this one will be shiny!!” And then it actually fucking was. So basically we Stan gardevoir in this family.

3. Bulbasaur/the line, Surprisingly was not my og starter. Used to be a charizard Stan (still love it and also mega X is an aesthetic) but the bab has grown on me. 1 bc of Pokémon coliseum, they had an ivysaur you could rent, that I had so much fun with as a kid bc I loved being annoying and poisoning the enemy AND stealing their health every turn and obnoxiously stalling them out. I still love this bc toxic stalling is very fun and chaotic lol, and I found at least for me in play throughs it was a very convenient Pokémon to pick up for that playstyle, so I ended up using it in a lot of play throughs. Also I always name mine Eddie and when I was figuring out naming things, it ended up being a name I felt close to, so now I always associate bulbasaur with cool shit lol

4. Sylveon, best eeveelution imo (I love all of them). First Pokémon I got to level 100, since I was trying to shiny hunt eevee (also the first Pokémon I ever tried to shiny hunt) in X/Y bc I REALLY wanted a shiny Sylveon, and ended up getting my “placeholder” Sylveon to 100 while egg hatching/battling at the chateau to fill out my Pokédex. I still haven’t gotten my own shiny yet, but I have gotten them through trade. Also reminds me of my cats which is very good. Also fairy is my favorite type and it’s one of the OG fairy types lol

5. Cursola, probably one of my favorite ghost types tbh, and definitely one of my favorite newer Pokémon. It’s cool af, amazing aesthetic, and also it has tiny spoonfuls of curry it’s so cute. I also just got like way too attached to the one I got in my play through tbh. Also it’s shiny is amazing, and I’m still looking for it I just love them they are baby ok

Whee, updates!

Short summary (because it gets reeeeally long under the read more and I totally don’t expect anyone to read everything): Pupper died, kitty died x2, mom’s in a wheelchair because the VA is terrible apparently, epilepsy is still a thing, money’s still a bit tight, and our winters are cold. But! Video games are fun and I’ve adopted a new feral kitty and her kittens! Also I’m trying to make a game now! And my uncle is nice enough to take me to church whenever he can! :D

Still living at home with mom; still have epilepsy, still not able to work or drive, still trying to earn my keep by helping out around the house.

Last winter we had some pipes burst! I’ve had to master the art of DIY plumbing and got it mostly fixed but it was way more stressful than it should’ve been and that was preeetty much why I vanished on here again.

I don’t recall ever putting it on here; our dog, Elvis, ultimately passed away about a year or so after my step dad did. He ended up with cancer and we had to put him down. He was a good pupper right up until the end and I had to do my darnedest not to cry in front of him since he was such a sensitive bab. At the time, our car was in the shop and we had to call for a taxi. The driver was insanely kind to us and put up with us putting a hundred pounds of dog in his backseat, and didn’t charge us extra when we asked to stop at a gas station to get some junk food to drown our sorrows in. He also told us the story of how he put his own dog down, and how sorry he was to hear it had happened to us, too.

One of our cats died- Tricky, our big black kitty. She got cancer, as well, and when we couldn’t get her to eat even with taking something to increase appetite we had to have her put down. She was an absolute sweetheart and the vet let me hold her while they gave her the injection.

I’m pretty sure I posted on here when our other kitty- Moony- died year before last? In case I didn’t: It was kidney failure. There wasn’t anything that could be done. He became joined at the hip with me when he first started getting sick, and having to make the call myself to have him put down hurt.

More kittens happened!! We had a feral kitty (feral as in you didn’t want to approach her or she would probably attack) that was best friends with Elvis and used to eat and sleep with him for protection against our other feral cats. After we lost him, we kept putting food out in his bowl for her to eat in the garage. That became primarily my job and after working with her for around three years (I’d started trying to work with her before Elvis even got sick) she started approaching me and rubbing against my legs. Then she proceeded to have kittens and I had to activate CODE ADORABLE and we adopted all four of them- and her! The kittens were darlings and one in particular (named Cobbler now) considered me his second mother, but it was pretty easy to coax them inside the house once they were around three weeks old. Mama cat followed them and we led them into a spare bedroom. That was two years ago, and they’ve all been fixed and given their shots and they’re a bunch of healthy little babies! Cobbler is still the mama’s boy, though, and he won’t eat in the morning unless I pick him up and talk to him for a good few minutes.

Pokemon!! Pokemon has been something of a saving grace for me! Between car break downs (which happen every few months it seems), doctor appointments, and just life being generally not fun, Pokemon has helped keep me a little sane. In the past year and a half I’ve played through around... seven games, including the USUM and LGPE. Let’s Go Eevee is stupidly fun, for the record, and Eevee, Mew, and I are steamrolling over Kanto and finding shinies along the way.

This spring! This! Past! Spring! I saw someone reblog a post on here talking about turning characters without a set backstory into a fighting game, then someone added to make a dating game and included links to Ren’py and a few other engines and whoo boy. I decided to try Ren’py and I got hooked and now I’m making a game I guess?? It’s a weird mix of point-and-click, dating sim, and adventure at this point. I’m making it entirely myself (art, programming, writing/plot) and it’s been super fun!! My art’s improved a lot as a result and I totally need to share game progress on here!

My mom’s wheelchair thing is a loooong story. In an effort to keep it a little short: basically her VA doctor ignored her back pain, sent her to physical therapy, ultimately drove her into a wheelchair. Not fun.

This past November was a mess of no sleep and little food and I’m still kind of reeling from it. Slowly getting back into the swing of things, though!

Throughout all of this, I’ve been super grateful for my uncle!! He lives an hour away and preaches at a church in his city, but he makes a concentrated effort to come and pick me up once a month to go to church with him and have a meal with his congregation. He also sometimes drops some food off for me and my mom when he knows things are particularly tight for us. I’d never tell him and he probably doesn’t realize it, but he feels like the closest thing I have to a dad these days. <3

AND YEAH BASICALLY THINGS HAVE BEEN HECTIC.

But there’s been some good hectic buried in there!

I really have missed having Tumblr to come on and just dump art and writing and stuff, though, so I’m glad things seem to be settling down a bit so I can tentatively try to come back here. <3

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu: thoughts so far

My team thus far:

Pikachu (M) - Timid, Takes plenty of siestas

Daxter (M) (Beedril) - Sassy, Likes to relax

Karpe Diem (M) (Gyarados) - Timid (ironically), Likes to thrash about (unironically)

Izroul (M) (Kadabra) - Lonely, Nods off a lot

Jax (M) (Machoke) - Sassy, Somewhat vain

Other Pokemon I caught that aren't part of my team but I still like:

A female oddish named Ladydrake (like mandrake)

A female Paras named Library

A male Mr. Mime that I've named "Ash'sRealDad"

Pokemon I want in the future:

A Gastly for my main team, because to this day I still frickin love Gengar

-In the likely event I cannot fully evolve said Gastly, I will keep it as a Haunter, use it explicitly for traveling purposes, and name it Ghost Rider

Reviving the Helix Fossil I got and naming it Lord Helix (I wanted him for my main team but if that's on Cinnabar then I'll have to reconsider my options)

- Alternatively I could capture myself a Pidgeotto/Pidgeot and name it Bird Jesus, then I'll have a way to fly and still keep the reference ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

- Just found out you can't ride Pidgeot what the hell. fuck okay Bird Jesus won't fly then

Other random thoughts:

Resisting the urge every second to rename my Pikachu Ryan Reynolds (Much like I resisted naming my first Fennekin "Firefox" like everyone else did)

Zippy Zap is broken

I named my rival Blue because I figured he was just some redesigned version of Blue who would act/talk the same and I wanted to stay true to the RBY games, but then the ACTUAL Blue showed up after I beat Brock and I was like "ah fuck" now there's two Blues and I am WAY too far in to change my mind

- That being said the actual Blue is kinda cute in this game ngl

Can I no longer talk to my Magikarp now that he's evolved into Gyarados? Is he now reduced solely to being ridden? Can I no longer raise his friendship by interacting with him? Am I only able to raise it now just by walking?

- I have a thought that since I can talk to Pokemon like Persian and Rhyhorn as I'm riding them, I must be able to do the same with Karpe Diem - but until I can surf with him (Er, 'scuse me - "sea skim") I won't know for sure

On that note can I never interact with Pikachu like I did before now that he's on my shoulder?

I am still waiting for the day where I can walk with my Bisharp and Hawlucha and Phantump. All the games have been slightly off from being the perfect game for this. HGSS had the "following" mechanic for 4 generations of Pokemon, but it wasn't Gen 5/6 yet so I didn't get to have my favorites. XY and up had Pokemon Amie/Refresh, which let you have some of that closeness with your babs. SM/USUM had walking animations ready for 800+ Pokemon but didn't use barely any of them. Lets Go used some very good and versatile 151+ walking/interaction animations but didn't use the rest of the 700. My brother says it'll never happen and that I'll never get to walk with my Bisharp, but unless Satoshi Tajiri personally comes to my house and tells me himself that my living blender will never follow me down Victory Road, I refuse to believe it will never happen

I know it's called Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and that's the point, but I'm still going to be mildly irked that you can't pet your other Pokemon like you can Pikachu/Eevee

You can pick your skin tone at the beginning and wear matching (or mismatching) clothes with your starter partner but you can never change your hair or eye color. There's no option for people with green eyes (I don't have green eyes but I know this'd probably piss off a lot of people who do) and you can't be the whitest skin tone and have dark hair. So essentially I can pick from 50 different outfits to play dress up with my electric mouse but if I want to look like my pale-ass, dark-haired IRL self then I'm shit outta luck I guess

Jessie and James are here and they're very true to their anime counterparts, that's pretty frickin cool, but Meowth should be talking imo

Shorts are still comfy and easy to wear

I'm still not as hot as Brock

Today, some very good doodles of my Ultra Sun Pokemon Team (though at the moment switched out for the Fire Trialdfgdgf)! I’m having a lot of fun with and getting an attatchment to these guys, so I thought I might as well draw them!

First is Neptune, my starter and Brionne who I would die for.Then, my Charjabug, who although not name does Not diminish my love for her...Then is Frances the Furfrou and Charlotte the Mime Jr., who are probably friends because of the same attributes they have (lmaooo). And finally, my Eevee Phoebe (a bab I got as an Egg from a Daycare) and Cha the Hawlucha (got from an in-game trade!)!

How many Build a Bears do you have and what phone do you have?

I have two Build-A-Bears!!

Ellie is a Velvet Hugs Teddy with a vanilla cupcake scent pod and Vibri is a standard Pawlette (as opposed to the jumbo Pawlette or Kabu Pawlette) with a pumpkin cupcake scent pod. Ellie's scent has worn off by now bc I got her in July 2018 but Vibri's smell is still noticeable bc I got her in October 2019. Ellie only has one heart bc my friends who came with me were each making their own on that day (one friend made a Pikachu with Pikachu sounds and the other made an Eevee that plays the Imperial March from Star Wars) but Vibri has three hearts bc I was the only one making a plushie that day, so my two friends got to help with the heart ceremony.

I wanna expand my BAB wardrobe bc Ellie has outfits for pride and Christmas but not Vibri, and Vibri has outfits for Valentine's and Halloween but not Ellie. Ellie also has 2-piece pajamas but Vibri doesn't have any PJs and I wanna get onesie pajamas for both of them. Each one only has one pair of shoes, Ellie has black off-brand Converse and Vibri has black heels with little bows on them.

The next Build-A-Bear I wanna get is the black lab from the Promise Pets collection, and I'm drawn to naming him Sam, even though I know that's a very generic name to give a dog, and I'd give him either the lavender scent, the bubblegum scent, or the strawberry scent. I wanted to get the yellow lab and name her Vicky after Nate and Elena's dog at the end of Uncharted 4, but they seem to have discontinued the yellow lab at Build-A-Bear.

And my new phone is a Samsung A51!!
