Hello, hello! I hope everyone had a great first day of May c:

I wanted to start off by saying thank you all so much for the kind words about the latest update! It's been an honor getting to share the story with you all, and the fact that folks are enjoying last month's update still has me feeling super excited <3

Unfortunately, life got in the way of finishing chapter 3, part 2 by the end of last month, which was my hope. I'm confident the part 2 update will be finished this month, however. I'd love to get it done over the next few weeks, but May is the beginning of the busy season at work, so we'll see what happens. There's a lot I'm excited about in this next part of the chapter...and, once it's all wrapped up, I get to move on to chapter 4, which has a ton of stuff I can't wait for.

Honestly, I don't have much to say here beyond that! I wanted to post a devlog, since it's been a bit and since I wasn't able to wrap up the next update by the end of April, but I'm feeling good about things!

what would be the reaction of each one of the bats to peter hugging them out of the blue ?

i actually have an entire page in my notebook dedicated to keeping track of this (mostly it was a prompt to get in the writing mood but now it's a reference)

Dick: obviously met with joy and an immediate hug back, they will not be letting go until 30 minutes later. he is crying but trying not to let Peter tell that he is. yes he does this nearly every time

Bruce: i think he would cry. Bruce doesn't cry often (in front of people at least) but if this happened he would get all teary eyed. mostly because he's thinking back to when Dick was that age and he would hug Bruce + he knows it's a big sign of trust if Peter is hugging you. he'd also hug Peter back but it'd take him a second to figure out what's going on

Jason: freezes for long enough that Peter pulls away and says 'sorry.' this happens a few times before Jason is used to it and he hugs Peter back. he also now has to make up for how he reacted before so Peter's the only one allowed to hug him for more than five seconds (I hc that Jay isn't great with physical affection like he was Before but he does like physical affection.)

Tim: he's used to Dick's random hugs so while he wasn't expecting it the first time and he took a second, he gets the hang of this very fast and he hugs Peter back every time

Steph: absolutely overjoyed. she'll be confused but she's the one who hugs him back and swings him around. she will continue to be happy for the rest of the day. she's more used to Peter hugs (1. because of Dick, just like Tim but also 2. because Peter isn't as hesitant around her).

Duke: confusion, awkward hug with a pat on the back the first few times. the more hugs he gets, the more comfortable he is with it. the first hug = "If anything happens to this kid I will end the world as we know it." and by the fourth surprise hug Duke has learned to hug Peter first

Cass: she's not surprised at all. she knew it would be coming and by the time Peter figures out he wants to hug her, she's opened her arms. i think Cass would love gentle hugs for herself, but often knows what type of hugs other people need/like best. like sometimes you just need a hug that crushes you a little bit and other times you just want someone there. Cass has it figured out

Dami: SWEARS that Peter is being so weird and so awful but the longer he's away from the League and the more he hangs out with his family the more he understands that he likes physical affection. He hugs Peter back but it's hesitant the first few times. Later on, though, Dami accepts and gives hugs. and if Dami is sitting on the couch Peter will flop onto the couch with his entire body weight. Dami promises to kill him every time but never goes through with it. they'll chill there for a little bit. classic sibling bothering.

Babs: has been used to hugs from Dick for a while, but she's surprised to realize that Peter trusts her that much. that's also when she realizes how much she cares about him and, like Duke, decides that if anything happened to Peter, she'd make someone rue the day

Alfred: just like with all of his grandchildren, Alfie doesn't initiate the hug first. but they know that if they want a hug, Alfie's there for them.

i need the waxwitch agenda to spread so bad. yes i know you can only meet icarus after beating chronos and you only see him in the furthest zone on the surface so far. yes i know you have to get there multiple times to piece together his backstory with mel. yes i know his storyline is barely finished and he can't show up at the crossroads and he doesn't even have a 3d model or finished character art. i can wait patiently

don't have much to add here other than i had a lot of fun with this page. thinking up gerald crane's evildoings is always fun and i get to do a lot of that for DMPH.

Saw Scott's first episode. Cam was cannonically called Scott's stalker... He bought out Scott's entire neighbourhood so nobody else could be his neighbour... absolute freak material.

What funny for me it's when I see some people in radioapple fandom saying why they can't see Alastor as a bottom is because "he would never be a bottom because of his ego!" (and right under a post with b!Alastor content, the nerve)

Meanwhile Lucifer, King of all Hell, Sin of Pride personified, the man who stole Adam's first wife and claimed to do the same with the second, and had two songs about how great he is compared to others: am I a joke to you?

Lucifer's ego is just as big, if not bigger, than Alastor's. I was rewatching the show recently, and during the "Dad Beat Dad" episode, literally the only person he was nervous, bumbling, or awkward around was Charlie (and Vaggie, to a certain degree considering she's Charlie's girlfriend).

In every other interaction he was smug, arrogant, indifferent, unimpressed, or downright dismissive. His whole song with Alastor was just him flexing his power and getting more and more insecure & angry about how "close" Alastor and Charlie were. I think people forget that Lucifer is the Sin of Pride, and you can 100% see it in his behavior towards the other characters. Obviously, he got closer to the Hazbin Crew, especially during the last song in the finale, but that doesn't make his ego magically disappear.

And I love that about him.

I find his huge capacity to love (both Charlie and creation) so endearing, but it's better and so much more interesting, when it's paired with the fact that his ego gets bruised so easily. He's the most powerful being in Hell, while also being insecure as fuck, while also being the personification of Pride itself. Is that not the tastiest, most delectable character to ever character????

Look, yes, Lucifer is depressed. He and Lilith got divorced. He and Charlie were estranged to each other for years. He lost his will to dream after being cast out from Heaven. He spent all his time making little rubber ducks, locked away in his room. But that doesn't, by any means, make the man humble.

If you look at Alastor and say he's got too big of an ego to bottom, and then turn around and make Lucifer the most bottomy bottom ever, then I say go back and rewatch the show, cuz you're missing a few very important factors. Especially if you're basing someone's capacity to bottom on ego alone. (I, personally, love it when prideful, egotistical characters bottom. It's so much fun).

Mostly just...hhhhhh, please stop stripping away all of my short-kings most interesting characteristics. I don't want a small, wide-eyed, easily manipulated little UwU soft boi. I want snarky, powerful as fuck, insecure, egotistical, provocative short-king who gets pissy when his daughter talks to a homicidal deer man with a silly haircut instead of him (while also being very soft, loving, and caring). He's multi-faceted, and that's what makes him interesting.

Once again, this isn't me getting after people who enjoy top!Alastor and bottom!Lucifer. Do what you want, I hope you're having fun. Just don't go commenting below other people's posts with shit like "Alastor wouldn't bottom because of his ego," when Lucifer is just as much of an egotistical little shit as he is.

Bad news: I don't think I'm going to be able to write for ever day of TD horror week as I'd originally imagined.

Good news: The days I am going to be part of will be Cooking. I shan't spoil too much about it but one day already has 2.5K words and is only like a fourth of the way done.

You're absolutely correct, but the worst part is this predates Easthaven lmao.

Croft a) was a spoiled rich kid who got everything they wanted, thus inflating their own sense of self-importance...

And more importantly, b) this sort of thing happens to Croft All The Fucking Time. I can't wait to get into it more in-game but Croft's lore is INSANE their life has been WILD.

I've mentioned this before but when they were a baby their birth parents died in a house fire that they should NOT have survived but just.........did. Somehow.

Croft is the universe's specialest little baby and they are aware of this.

Tamagotchi Paradise World Tour Preview Event @ MCM London 2025

You can switch through the different characters and play with them, feed them, and clean them individually

The games for individual tamas are a lot like the games from the classic tamagotchis, like the one where you guess which way the tama will turn.

There's also footage of the egg hunt, where it looks like you get random supplies.

You can travel to a lot of different planets and get things to decorate your home planet (kinda wished there was more to visiting other planets but oh well)

You can change your tama's color!

Zooming in and out looks a little finicky; like, it looks like it takes more than one full turn to zoom in/out, and it's a bit difficult to do it one-handed, judging by the video. This might just be because they were filming on their phone, though.

Overall, it looks really interesting, the sound is good and chirpy which i like, and the spritework is amazing for such a small scale!

a quick glance down at her leathen vest proves jim correct, but asha doesn't react beyond an unconcerned shrug. to find herself bloodied is no rare occurrence, & she'd hardly noticed that the ' friendly ' duel she'd engaged in earlier that day had left a dark stain across her torso. ❝ um. because i don't walk around all the time with a different set of clothes to change into just in case they get dirty in a fight ? ❞ she responds, her infliction listing up at the end as if asha is confused, as if @lorelodge has asked a silly question.
