I need to yap about some character analysis' I've done because it needs to exist outside my head and it probably won't be obviously brought up in future chapters (unless I do some ol POV switcheroo for all of them back to back or something. But I don't have it planned so :3). I love character analysation if you couldn't tell by the block of text. They're mostly in my head to keep track of, I don't write them down a lot, so I hope it's not too chaotic (⁠・⁠–⁠・⁠;⁠)⁠ゞ

Okay, okay, so, object in motion Tom, Severus and Dakota are all liars (which I hope you guys know as fact haha), but in different ways.

Tom's lying is convuluted, he does it without needing to put energy into it. Everything is a web of half truths, omissions and masks. He weights if the truth or a lie will get him more. He plans ahead CONSTANTLY, already calculating whatever he says will get him what kind of future. Predicating what kind of actions would happen/reactions he would face/consequences that would crop up later. And of course the reward he'd get out of it. It's not inherently malicious, he learned to do it as a child because it was based on his own survival. But it is calculated. It's control he thinks he has, from his response to anything, and to the predictions he makes based on those responses. He doesn't tend to make mistakes, because he has had a life time of experience learning how to better respond/predict to things. (Well, doesn't tend to miscalculate, but sometimes surprises happen that he couldn't even imagine. Like Dakota (⁠ ⁠˵⁠ ⁠°⁠ ⁠~⁠ ⁠°⁠ ⁠˵⁠ ⁠) hahaha. Just a way for an entire spiderweb of planning and predictions shattering because someone's hand accidentally went through it. It makes him nervous, which makes him plan more but in different ways, to try to get control back. I like to call him a mess but he wouldn't appreciate that XD).

Severus' lying comes as easy as breathing. He lies constantly, mostly to himself. Convincing himself he's worse than he is, or convincing others the same. But there's a few things he wouldn't lie about. Where he's brutally honest about and people will think it's a lie because he's so honest about it. He uses lies and truths as weapons. Spending years as a spy where even his thoughts couldn't be the truth means that sometimes he doesn't know the truth either, he was often not allowed to consciously know the truth. So lying is second nature, but not always on purpose. His perspective on things are just slightly to the left or right, and only occasionally fully what they should be. Layers. Lots of layers. With some key stones of himself that he has and holds onto because those are the only things he was allowed to hold onto. (Getting confronted with any truth makes his foundations SHAKY, giving him a crisis is easy, but only if you're someone he would acknowledge enough to let the words hit him. Truths from people he trusts are like a weapon, and he doesn't have a defense to that. Midlife crisis but only every time someone he holds in high regard says something that shatters his entire perception of himself, and it could literally be ANYTHING that they say. (⁠☞ﾟ⁠ヮﾟ⁠)⁠☞ this man is a massive mess and at least he's sort of self aware about that!!!).

Dakota's lying is a shield. He uses it to hide. To evade. To hide from the world and from himself. He denies mostly, trying not to outright lie. He can, he just prefers not to. Preferring to leave blanks and let everyone else fill in their version of the truth. There's some things he can't lie about, and some things he can only lie about. And his lying was born from the need to protect himself. To become invisible. He doesn't handle being perceived well, and tends to lie more when he thinks people are getting closer to any truth he doesn't want them to know. There's a specific ranking he has, between what he knows is truth and can say, what he knows he must lie about, and what he cannot ever say. And he balances between that constantly. Sometimes using a truth as a shield if he knows he can't get away with blatantly lying or feels he shouldn't. (He doesn't quite know how to be honest without feeling very vulnerable/uncomfortable. There's not a single person in his life he hasn't lied to in some way or form, which means he's never let his guard down completely. People who show that they can be trustworthy leave him baffled. He doesn't know how to let go of his shield.(⁠ノ⁠ಥ⁠,⁠_⁠｣⁠ಥ⁠)⁠ノ⁠彡⁠┻⁠━⁠┻ Dakota at least knows he's a massive mess with issues, even if he's not quite sure of all his issues yet).

They're three liars, but different kinds of liars. (And different kinds of messes).

ok so im watching m9 for the first time, and as its been out for years atp i know a lot of things that happen in the campaign. mostly, i know that caleb and essek end up together. and i know a lot of people talk about how courting of the crick like… prophecies their eventual love story, and i would agree i think it does. but theres another thing thats making me fucking INSANE about them.

so when m9 first get their hands of the beacon, caleb identifies it, because hes a wizard, and is scared by it right. but when its just him at the table, and matt is describing his dream he says “and for the first time in a long time you feel at peace” when hes dreaming about the beacon and dunamancy and whatnot.

its just so fucking insane to me that basically calebs first ever direct interaction with dunamancy is PEACE!! LIKE ARE WE KIDDING!?!(! HE FELT PEACE AND COMFORT!! AND HE FEELS PEACE ABD COMFORT WITH ESSEK!! THE FUCKING GUY WHO WEILDS DUNAMACY BETTER THAN ANYONE!! WHO FUCKING TAUGHT CALEB HOW TO WEILD IT!! UGH THEY MAKE ME CRAZYYYY

Error prolly waits a week after Valentine's day so he can get the chocolate bundles on discount.

He goes to the stores to check prices before Valentine's because he HATES how crowded it gets nearing the day.

He computes how much he can save when he buys in bulk when he does go and buy em.

And the cashiers and store clerks swooning over him cuz they think he looks so handsome but also sad and jelly cuz hes probably choosing which chocolate to buy for his "honey"

Would love to know more about how the apparanticeships work. Well the education system in general and what changes uve done. I don't mind waiting if ur planning to elaborate on it later :D

Hehe hiii here to answer your question! Here's what I mentioned about it in the chapter, just to do a small recap.

Apprentices can be like TA’s. Either they’re trying to get an extra study in, get tutelage under a specific teacher’s expertise for their own study, want to become a teacher for that specific class and or become an official teacher’s assistant.

Apparently the boy was really into spell research, and he was good with defensive magic and attacking magic. He was considering going into dueling, and maybe doing an apprenticeship under Filius next year for it. Since the dueling environment was competitive and strict he needed more experience. But it wasn’t the only thing he was considering doing, the kid was so very ambitious.

He wanted help developing, researching and making spells. He wanted to help tutor the younger students or take over classes, not first years, Kent admitted that younger kids were oftentimes a bit intimidated by him so he’d rather work with second or third years. He also confessed he felt a bit terrified to be an adult influence on small kids like that, and second and third years weren’t so green eared, and most would at least be a bit familiar with him now. He wanted to see if he could get extra credit for university so that if he settled on going there first he’d at least have what he needed for it.

This was all on Apprenticeships, which kinda lets it show it's literally whatever the student needs it to be. It's an extra year someone can choose to do to either study more on the subject from a specific teacher, get more knowledge in, get points for doing it for uni, helping them with their own independent research, or becoming a TA/get experience in teaching in case they want to become a professor in the chosen subject. Apprenticeships are discussed between the professor and the student and made into whatever is needed, hence why Dakota had to sit down with Kent for an entire year syllabus and why its still flexible in case the student changes their mind on what they need! They get two hours a week to sit down with a professor to do what is needed and then have their own schedule, some people take classes at uni, some use that time to research on their own or work on their own projects, or just do TA stuff. This wasn't really something mentioned in canon, I think at least haha. Further changes! Well,, I can't spoil much but there IS an extra class (and a future one hehe but not relevant right now) based on helping every first year with getting familair with the wizarding world, its laws and stuff like that. This gets optional AFTER the first year. More on the introduction class! Mentioned in chapter 10 I believe.

He thinks he remembers someone mentioning there was an introduction guide class to wizarding society? But it was open to all houses and mainly for first years? He’s not sure. He doesn’t remember it from canon, and Tom certainly didn’t seem to know about it. Maybe it was a newer class? If it even was a class. Someone definitely mentioned it, but he doesn’t quite remember when, so it was probably at one of the breakfast’s he had attended and before he had his coffee.  He thinks he remembers it was someone’s job? It wasn’t his and that’s all he knew about it.

There was a lot of shifted education because of everything, almost all students went into apprenticeships to get where they needed to go. University was for those who wanted to have a mastery in a subject, not necessarily work in the field. Magical universities were also open to the world, most British students went abroad to study in the university suited to their chosen mastery. 

Which yeah we got uni's! Sooo fun hehe. Uni's really for mastering stuff. Hogwarts is right now too underfunded to get any more classes unfortunatly </3 but that's also kinda why Apprenticeships and uni's exist! Apprenticeships also exist outside of Hogwarts! Not that Dakota knows that XD but it's very common! Any student can ask anyone who is a master at their craft to study under them for a specified amount of time, unfortunatly this doesn't mean that the person would accept. This is why Apprenticeships are more common at Hogwarts! Since the professors don't really refuse any students that want one. It's still not very common for students to chose a Apprenticeships at Hogwarts though, most people immediatly dive to whatever job they want or directly go to uni abroad. Or other boring things I won't mention :D

i feel like when tenna and spamton first meet again after tenna gets fixed up, spamton is. very eager to reunite with him. at first he only wanted to reunite with him so desperately for a slim second chance at fame and fortune, but i feel like after witnessing tenna almost die and the prophecy come true in front of his own eyes [as someone on my post mentioned, if dealmaker was equipped then spamton literally watched that happen] he started to…..actually feel emotional about it. i know womp womp. he watched tenna’s fate from the prophecy happen in front of him, and then watched tenna SURVIVE after that [by the power of friendship or whatever . no but susie going back to fix him makes me weep]. that somehow proved something to him, even in the smallest of ways, that the voice over the phone didn’t have full control over things anymore. that, maybe, that meant that they didn’t have full control over himanymore. he knows it’s a bit of a stretch, but he’ll take anything that makes him feel more in control. he still goes into reuniting with tenna with a bit of an intention to “make it big” again somehow, but sort of abandons the idea once he [begrudgingly] realizes that tenna has much more to offer than just being a stepping stone. once he realizes that tenna never had it out for him and that he truly cared this whole time. and even though multiple decades have gone by and spamton has acted narcissistic and unkind in the past, there’s still that bit of addispam in him that just wants people to like him. BRO DOES ANYBODY HEAR ME BROOOO

I just realized; did you ever tell us who harpooned Hizashi?!?!? AND WHY HASN'T NEMURI SHARK EATEN THEM?? 😡

He was in an area (nearer the lighthouse) that he didn't usually go to, looking for pearls and suchlike while Nemuri hunted in a different area. There is a group of sailors who go out on their lobster boat around the lighthouse, drunk, hunting for mermaids. Aizawa usually wards them off since they're not allowed to fish in those waters as it's his property. Anyway, they see what they suspect to be a mermaid tail whipping around under the waves, and shoot a harpoon at it, but it soon disappears further into the water. Aizawa hears them shouting and rows out to tell them to go home which they eventually do. Hizashi can't swim with the harpoon in his tail and he's losing a lot of blood so he ends up washed up on the beach of the island, and stays there overnight in the freezing cold, drying out, until Aizawa finds him.

Nemuri doesn't know what happened to him until they meet up again, although he calls out to her from the lighthouse (merpeople can communicate by wailing/'singing' and you Know he's loud) so she knows he's at least alive.

I've been kinda thinkin' a lot about the headcanon that Legend is his Zelda's half-brother because of that one old Zelda manga. I think about it a lot and I like it a lot. So uh here's some thoughts because him and Sky are my favorites.

Sky: "So... what's your relationship with your Zelda?" *eyebrow raise*

Legend: *disgusted* "She's my sister."

Sky: *does that O_O face* "Oh, that's... that's cool."

and after that, because Sky realizes that Legend is basically his descendant, he starts treating Legend way differently. He'll jump in to defend Legend in battles, even if Legend doesn't need him to. Sky will go out of his way to spend more time with Legend, trying to get to know him better. And if any of the chain dares to make fun of Legend, Sky will scold them before Legend can make any quips.

And this pisses Legend off, and he doesn't know why Sky's acting like that all of a sudden. Sky's afraid to explain why, because he'll end up having to explain that his Zelda is Hylia reborn and how he knows he's the first Link and everything. But eventually, I think the guilt would kill Sky, and he'd end up telling Legend everything first, feeling that Legend especially deserves to know. Orrrrr, maybe he'd go to Time because he has a descendant in the chain, too. Idk. Just thought I'd rant.
