honestly, id almost take straight coffee over how sweet neil makes his; it's basically a milkshake, with the amount of sugar he puts into it. either way, i prefer tea.

Neil might love to say that he prefers his coffee as "dark as his soul" but in reality he cannot stand the bitterness of black coffee, he needs a lot of sugar and creamer to make his drink more palateable. Todd on the other hand does not like coffee at all. Even an overly sweet concoction like the one Neil drinks is enough to give him jitters (and probably throw up because its too sweet for him)

Essentials for a cosy study day 𝜗𝜚˚⋆

Tea, coffee, water. Drink more than you think you should; it will help you focus!! My recent obsession has been chai lattes. :)

Get ready even if you plan on staying home. Take a shower, do your hair make-up, and do whatever you would do on a regular day, too.

Cosy but cute fit. Something comfortable that still makes you feel pretty and good about yourself.

Set some goals. Whether this be a specific page number you want to reach, a set study time, etc etc., keep it achievable, tho!!

Play around with music and playlists when you lose focus. I always switch between studying in complete silence, classical music, lofi, and more gloomy playlists; this helps me stay focused for longer. :)

Take little breaks, stretch, have a snack, open a window, and catch up with your friends for a bit to avoid feeling burned out or overly exhausted.

Make your study space cosy, light a candle, get a blanket, adjust the lighting and temperature to your liking, and keep your desk organised.

Watch something cosy but motivating like Gilmore Girls if you're just organising your notes, school stuff, or simply studying lighter material to keep you entertained.

- Ellie would definitely do photography, i mean we SAW photos of dina in her art room and around the house, the photograph of her, Jesse, and dina, i think she'd LOVE to do photography! just as a fun hobby. she definitely has one of those small 60 dollar grainy cameras that she carries around, snapping pictures of anything

-speaking of photos, she definitely would snap pictures of you! she would hang them up around her room, next to her bed or in a small little frame. Like, you standing in the kitchen, sleeping, if you play an instrument, studying, kissing, anything.

- I also think she LOVES hiking, camping, anything involving the wilderness. She could definitely live out there if she wanted too.

-this might b a reach but, since shes an artistic person, she would probably be super good at makeup. not that she wears it as often, and if she does its just black eyeshadow, maybe blush and her brows. but theres definitely been a few times shes done your makeup and its turned out BETTER then you can even do it.

- her artistic talent has definitely lead to her doing super cute projects, gifts, and activities. Her gifts are 80 percent of the time hand made. she could definitely make some really nice rings, necklaces, everything out of random stones. she would come across something on pinterest and save it into some folder which is filled with things.

-now if shes working i feel like her jobs could really vary. definitely not a barista because she doesn't like coffee, she prefers tea for sure, but she's definitely in something more artistic or musically involved. Like a record shop, guitar center, book store, maybe a pottery shop where you can MAKE your own pottery, or a jewelry store.

- her room would be a mess. jewelry everywhere, clothes tossed around, random shit tapped to her wall, anything you can think of its THERE.

- a million people have said it before but.. she shit posts like, crazy. She might have a main account for her instagram and she either shit posts to her main story or close friends. OR she has a private spam account, mainly used for stirring shit up with people.

-shes a tea girl! like sweet tea, iced tea, chamomile, green tea, chai, anything TEA wise. she owns it. she probably has some dumb cup specifically for tea, like cups from Spencer's.

- i feel like shes a collector, like bottle caps, pennies, gems, or guitars (if she has that money, but she's definitely broke.)

2023 Thailand

IFYLITA is an exquisite BL, from filming techniques to narrative framework (much like Until We Meet Again). It's about a gay man from our time who falls into the past, becomes a servant to a noble house, and falls in love with the heir. It turns out this has all happened several times before. Steeped in history and family drama it edges into lakorn (but not as much as To Sir With Love and with way less scenery chewing). This is an elegant and classy soulmates BL... from Thailand which normally doesn't even try for classy. The main couple (both as a pair and as individuals) were excellent, particularly Bright (Yai) whose eye-work acting style is a personal favorite of mine. Pity about the ending. Oh it wasn’t that sad but it wasn’t good either. This show could easily have earned a 10/10 from me except that it fumbled the… erm… balls in the final quarter. Argh. Whatever.

Nobleman Ryu's Wedding

2021 Korea - WeTV

A boy cross-dresses to take his runaway sister's place as a bride to a shy scholar, turns out they like being married. A historical setting allowed this BL to use some seriously old fashioned romance tropes (arranged marriage, evil step-sisters, Cinderfella) but also modern BL stylings like fake relationship & secret identity (drag) plus some cute gay panic. It reminded me of 12th Night more than anything else which just happens to be my favorite Shakespeare play. For all these reasons, I adored it.

I don’t rec Chinese stuff often, because I believe in censoring the censors, but this show is one of my favorites of the post 2016 censored bromances. It’s two murder-gay assassins (pining sunshine/tsundere), and they are so insanely gay for two boys who will never be allowed to kiss. Tropes include: wuxia, soulmates, paranormal, historical, and fantasy elements.

This is a true lakorn (basically Thai tellenovella or soap opera) with scenery chewing performances, especially from the mother characters. Gone With the Wind + Days of Our Lives but gay. That said? I loved it: A glorious central brother relationship (the best, made me cry), het romances, class divide + gay *gasp* main romance - oh my word, the campy drama of it all! Arranged marriage, rebellion, cut sleeves, over-the-top death with curses and regrets, beautiful if inaccurate costumes, secrets unraveling, cover ups, sparkle murder, sex herbs, coils within coils including snakes and murderous green metallic sequins (is anything gayer on this earth?). It’s a WILD ride but it does end happy for our gay boys. A man cries when he finds DEATH GLITTER. Come on! You haffa watch it. That said, like Manner of Death I struggle to rate something on a BL scale when it patently isn’t a BL. So I ended up giving this exactly what I gave that show, 7/10 I enjoyed it a whole lot, but not as a BL.

I was nervous to watch this PondPhuwin vehicle but I liked it a lot! Doomed soulmates + paranormal time travel to fix the past. I’m happy for the outfits and the dancing (if not the singing). It’s not a bad premise and it’s nice to see GMMTV lean into its high production values for a change. I'd adore a full historical starring these two and this was definitely the best of the second series of Our Skyy. I don't think you have to have watched the original Never Let Me Go to enjoy this.

Whipping boy trope... literally, servant character takes the strap for the prince, who then makes him his bodyguard and lover when he becomes king. Low budget historical, comes off as kind of cosplay wuxia version of Irresistible Love, but we get (in the credits) an actual kiss, and they both live. So yay for small mercies.

2023 Korea (historical flash backs)

iQIYI

A new employee at a film company encounters a director who claims to have lived 300 years and insists that they have to date (eat, hug & kiss) if baby doesn't want to die. It has a lot of Japanese elements, not the least of which are: an office setting, the fact that every character in this show is unhinged, and a killing of the gays. Featuring a gorgeous & stellar cast, TDWBMD should have utilized them less for melodrama and more for chemistry. This BL surprised me by going there with a lipstick mark AND an actually gay idol. But (you knew there was a but) while it's a unique twist on an office romance it is NOT a unique twist on the doomed red thread trope, resulting in it feeling less than the sum of its parts and ultimately unsatisfying. This might have also had to do with the fact that this was one of those KBLs where I felt how very short it was the whole time I was watching, like I was missing something constantly, in every episode. Worth watching for some but seriously flawed.

First Love Again

2022 Korea (historical flash backs) - Viki

A popular novelist who remembers his past lives meets his soulmate for the third time, only to find she has been reincarnated into the body of a man. This one started out a touch mean-spirited, but we eventually got a good kiss. The confession/rejection scene was justified and the reconciliation and ending was... fine. All in all, the pacing felt rushed and the romantic arc was underdeveloped. They go from like to love to boyfriends in a red hot minute. But that’s par for the course with Korea’s short form. If you don’t mind a heavy does of melodrama in your BL this one has a solid story with a strong concept that’s well acted and produced, making it a classic KBL with better than average chemistry but ultimately a touch forgettable.

This show was all over the place with uneven acting, narrative, and focus (sometimes it wanted to be a slapstick comedy, sometimes a depressing melodrama) which meant no one, actors or viewers, took anyone or anything seriously.... AND it’s a bromance. I was left wondering if SalHyung is now code for “they were roommates” in Kdrama historicals but otherwise largely apathetic and unimpressed. Korea, I now know you can do better. Do better.

Do Prapai or Payu ever worry the other will go after their boy?

Nah, honestly Rain and Prapai going after each other with knives is more likely.

How to break this down....

Payu and Sky

Payu met Sky a month or so before he ever saw Rain. He helped gather paperwork from alumni for student council stuff Sky was working on, and Sky went to his place to pick it up.

I think there is a mention that Payu found Sky cute, but in no way was interested in hitting on him. Just acknowledging a simple fact that he is good looking.

Payu is very protective of Sky, not only as Rain's best friend or Prapai's boyfriend, but also as a university junior who has a good personality.

After the assault, if Sky is at the races and Prapai is busy, Payu will gravitate towards him and keep a watchful eye over him. Sky knows he and Rain both do this out of protective concern, so he tolerates it.

Payu will also come to Prapai's condo or invite Sky to his house if there are any issues with class Sky would like help with, and Prapai actively encourages this. Payu is a good tutor, and a top student. If Sky is struggling, he need only reach out and Payu will help.

Later on, after Sky becomes a professor, Payu will guest lecture each year for him, and Sky will treat him to a meal as a thank you.

Prapai and Rain

Two year-olds fight about as much as these two.

Rain and Prapai live to bicker with each other, so long as everything is safe. Prapai wants Rain to help draw Sky into a surprise birthday party? Rain tells Sky that Prapai is cheating on him and he just watched him walk into a theater with a girl with huge tits.

Prapai shows up to "check on Payu" after the incident with Stop? He realizes he interrupted Rain and Payu about to have sex for the first time in weeks (Payu had bruised ribs) and deliberately extends his visit just to really piss them both off.

But what I said before is important too- as long as everything is safe they are bitter enemies.

When Sky is assaulted, Payu stays at the condo entryway to stop anyone from escaping or to stop more goons from getting in. Rain is allowed to go into the bedroom with Prapai, to be there for Sky and help protect him while Prapai destroys Gun and Petch (while also keeping half an eye on Rain).

When Sky is sobbing and shaking, Rain helps dress him, and Prapai is careful to speak softly towards Rain.

After the assault, Prapai knows Rain blames himself, and tries to be a bit gentler towards him for a while.

And when Prapai sees that Rain is scared of Chai later on at the races in the LITA special novel, he will position himself between Chai and Rain to help shield the little guy.

So they're (jokingly) bitter enemies, but Prapai is also protective of Rain, and respects him as Sky's best friend. I think he probably sees Rain as his younger sibling.

Police officer Chay pulls Kim over for speeding and as Kim is preparing his whole 'Do you know who i am?' Theerapanyakul speech that always gets him out of trouble as the cops know not to mess with the Theerapanyakuls.

Then he sees the prettiest man ever and the speech gets stuck and Kim just lets Chay give him the ticket without protesting.

Then Kim gets home and he's just walking around staring at the ticket when Kinn sees it and takes it from his hand like 'Who gave you a ticket? did you tell them who you were? I'll get them fired for disrespecting us' And Kim snatches the ticket back and tells Kinn to do nothing of the sort

Kim finds out Chays schedule and spends the next couple weeks doing stuff that makes Chay have to talk to him (he knows nothing will be permanent but also he cant do anything too bad that Chay will have to take him to jail) Kim does not consider the option that he could just talk to Chay like a normal person

One time Chay got sick so Porsche who is also a police officer ended up taking Chays shift and when Kim gets pulled over again he had decided today was going to be the day he asked Chay out on a date and has a giant bouquet of flowers in his hand then he rolls down the window and its not Chay.

The new offcier is kinda rude so Kim immediately pulls out his Theerapanyakul speech and flashes his ring and Porsche knows what that means so he lets Kim go grudgingly. Then he switches Chays patrol route because he thinks the old one is dangerous.

Chay gets a little sad that he wont see Kim anymore but then Kim starts showing up again.

When they finally manage to set a date and Kim drops Chay home afterwards and admits he kept getting in trouble as an excuse to talk to Chay Chay scolds him but thinks its cute.

Kim walks Chay to his door and then Porsche opens it and is pissed when he sees Kim.

she started to make some chai to drink. "maybe momo would want some, i should make her a glass." [name] pondered out loud while preparing the tea.

she went up to give the glass to momo. "ah, thank you [name]!"

she then on her way down, eyed katsuki who was heading to the kitchen at the same time as her.

okay [name]. stay cool.

she poured herself a glass. he walked up beside her.

"yo."

"hey, you want some chai?"

"sure."

she poured him some in a glass, and he nodded appreciatively.

so far so good. she didn't even need a third wheel.

katsuki looked around as if to make sure no one else was with them, then he said...

"did you see when usui kissed misa, and jumped off the building?"

"yes! it was so cute, he really is the best."

"how did he not break his legs though? he should've broken a leg, it would've been such an easy plot point to develop. she could've taken care of him and gotten closer to him that way."

[name] thought for a second. "i mean, maybe the author thought it was too predictable though? you gotta read the next volume. what happens next is so cool!"

"no spoilers [name]."

she sighed. "it wouldn't be spoilers if you weren't such a slow reader. hurry up! it's literally pictures!"

"pfft. i watched the anime, who needs the manga?"

"the anime didn't even go in depth to all the arcs!"

luckily, she sat next to mina the entire day. unluckily, all the girls in the class were avid gossipers. which would've been great.. every week except this one.

normally [name] would never be nervous while gossiping. she could read others like a hawk, and if she didn't have shoes on, she could focus to an extent and feel their heart beats to confirm or deny whatever they're saying.

of course, she wasn't a bully. she'd only ever think about whether they were lying or telling the truth to herself. she just wished she could keep it to herself today.

"hey [name]." oh no.

"we all always talk about our crushes and stuff-"

stop please.

"so we gotta ask,"

mina please step up!

"we gotta ask why you're so respectful? like c'mon! live a little and talk a bit of trash about some people. there's gotta be something or someone you don't like." mina cut in, saving the day.

who knew the third wheeling would extend to people she didn't even have a crush on?

"uh, well it's not that i don't like people, it's more i don't wanna bother myself thinking about them."

"really? well, who don't you like?" damn it jirou and your good questions.

"mineta." phew, good save me!

"that's too easy of an answer, like, do you hate anyone from 1-b?" Uraraka asked.

yay another easy answer! "i don't hate anyone from 1-b."

the girls all seemed to accept it, phew, nobody ask the opposite and we're good.

"hey, but aren't we asking [name] the wrong question?" tsuyu suddenly said

no! not when i was just safe!

"oh yeah, [name]. who do you like?"

"b--"

"who's ready to learn?" present mic yelled as he jumped onto one of the desks in the front.

"get down. alright settle down and get into your seats. class is starting." mr. aizawa said, the commotion effectively covering her answer.

the girls all went to their seats.

the next hurdle was lunch time. piece of cake.

except for the fact that she'd always sit in between katsuki and mina.

no big deal.

everything started out normal. everyone besides bakugo did their best to not question [name] directly, as they found out only when it was directed to her that she'd be forced to answer.

bakugo was luckily never much of a talker himself, only butting in to defend himself or jokingly insult others, even though majority of his insults held no weight.

but sometimes they'd catch themselves in the middle of their sentences, and have to fix their speech before [name] would be forced to answer. the goal post was moved from not confessing to not making her answer any odd questions at all. because bakugo would definitely notice her robotic answers.

"yeah like, didn't [name] totally-- i mean uh-- didn't we all totally flunk that test?"

"[name] remember when we-- uh-- i mean guys remember when we snuck out that one time?"

"which time?"

"dude, the convenience worker totally has a crush on [name]! right [na--] uh-- everyone?"

[name] focused almost unconsciously, and she noticed that katsuki's heart beat was speeding up for some reason. huh.

"you idiots are acting weird today." bakugo said out of no where.

"what? pfft. no way." sero said, trying to play it off.

"you're crazy man, i mean.. we're all acting normal. it's you who's acting weird!" denki said, before laughing awkwardly.

"yeah something is definitely up. how many of you dumbasses are in on it?"

"what? bakugo you're being uh-- irrational."

"since when do you talk like that raccoon eyes?"

"uh-- since i studied?"

everyone face palmed at that.

"okay the jig is up. the fuck is going on?"

"uh.. gotta go. i'm uh-- real hungry! needa get some sun y'know? see ya!" [name] left before anyone could stop her.

mina followed after her, leaving denki, sero, and kirishima to use the collective 5 brain cells they have to try and convince bakugo that nothing was up.

she was so gonna owe them more than a dinner for this.

[name] didn't know what lie they were gonna come up with. and to be honest, she really didn't want to find out.

as she sat on the rooftop, she let the chloroplasts out on her skin, which made her have a couple green-ish spots all over.

"eating really does help." [name] murmured.

"watching you eat is so crazy! i mean you're literally turning green!" mina said, eyes wide and wonder filled.

"...you're literally pink.. but okay."

"hey, can't we ask mr. aizawa to nullify the quirk while we're in class?"

"... mina that is the smartest thing you've ever said."

"cool! we'll need to update everyone at our daily meeting today. as long as he agrees we'll only need to worry about other times!"

"we should go now, before class starts."

"okay! you go ahead, i'm gonna go see what our other agents said to bakugo."

"agents?"

"just go!"

"um.. mr. aizawa? may i come in?"

"yes." he grumbled sleepily. he was in his sleeping bag, barely looking up at her.

"what is it [name]? is this to clear up about you being on the floor? because i really didn't care."

"uh.. no. this is about something that happened while i was on the mission."

"go on." she could tell that even though he seemed completely uninterested, that she had his full attention.

"well, you see, i was hit by a quirk. a truth telling quirk. and it's going to last for 6 more days."

"oh?"

"and.. i'd really appreciate your help. if you could nullify my quirk during just time when we're sitting in the classroom, it'd help a lot." she bowed respectfully as she made her request.

the room was silent as aizawa was seemingly thinking it over.

"sure, why not."

"thank you! i won't forget this!"

the second half of the day went by like a breeze. because mr. aizawa was cancelling her quirk, she lived her life in temporary peace for the remaining hours of the school day.

she smiled with relief, everything is going good now.

she cleared up her answer with the girls while she still could,

"guys, i don't have a crush on anyone. im just too busy."

and then she relaxed fully.

the walk to the dorms was easy, she didn't have to worry about dinner since she didn't eat, and she could always call an early night to get out of uncomfortable situations.

easy peezy.

she had no time to talk to bakugo for the rest of the day, since he had such an early bed time.

at last.. the daily meeting was here.

"alright guys! great saves today! here are the rankings for best agents. [name] would you do the honors?"

"yes. unless the honors is a person. i do not know them well enough to do them.

...

just give me the damn chalk."

mina held back a laugh while she walked up.

"okay, on the bottom we have.. denki."

"what? no way!"

"yes way! you were being way too obvious earlier! which brings me to my next loser: sero."

"no way, this is rigged."

"no it's not! what point of no questions do you not understand! anyways

next up, we have kirishima. amazing work this morning!"

kirishima bowed jokingly.

"and lastly, one for one, we have alien queen mina!"

"obviously she'd win, they're best friends!"

"sounds like jealously! anyways-- thank you [name]! take a seat."

[name] took a seat as mina resumed her place as the leader.

"what?" everyone said collectively.

"correct! i came up with the brillant idea for him to use his power on [name] during class time when we're all just sitting around. that's how i earned top spot!

So I was in the middle of my daydream about the full history/lore of crk world in general, there's lots of things to unpack but I think I just forgot em already😭 anyways, here's some ideas for the pre-corruption and early off the oven beasts

The beasts' names: Since they're from the first batch of cookies to be made, I think the witches named them based on their ingredients or so, so I pick the already existing cookie-related names for them here.

Whole Wheat cookie

Chai​ Spice cookie

Light Milk cookie

Soft Sugar cookie

Sea Salt cookie

-Headcanon​ that they're the one to defeat the witches, save the other living cookies, somehow split reality to another realm which then becomes earthbread, and uses the knowledge that they had learned from the witches to build civilization there. Hence the cookies in ancient time worshipped them and call them their god.

-They're​ obviously more powerful than normal cookies but I don't think as much as they currently are, the size difference still wasn't much to be noticable at least.

-Light Milk cookie is the smart one, the first one to learn how to use magic and discover how to create/extract life powder, maybe even procreation too. (he ain't blue, just really light cyan)

Um​ spoilers​ ​for newcomers​ -​Time​ travel is a thing in crk appearantly? Ykno,​ with White lily and Dark enchantress thingy. So it's possible for Gingerbrave and the gang to be from the first batches who didn't escaped with the beasts but instead stumbles into the already developed earthbread, somehow.

-fancy colors of the cookies are the side effects of magic maybe? Like, the cookies made by witches (older release cookies like Gingerbrave, Moonlight etc. ) are very average-normal-edible-cookies looking while the ones born on later eons look a bit different.. I swear I'm not trying to—*gets shot*

Spoilers for witch's castle -Since the​ first cookies are witches turned(possessed) cookies, the beasts WILL have beef. Even though in my opinion, they're not the same group of witches that made them, them vengeful asses just don't care. But also, they probably won't going to appear until some time later when the mess of ancient heroess vs no longer heroes starts, if DEVSIS ever going to import them in crk in case witch's castle flops(they fr flops)

Aight​ Reader​ might be coming in as one for the surviving cookies from the early age, seduced all em five great beings, died of old age, revived by one of them gods when they got corrupted and are no longer gods(I bet 20bucks it's SM), beasts got trapped a d they went out to find a way to get them out; just to died again by accident while the beasts still in the tree- no not really change that to sleeping, so then they can wake up again when the tree fucking snaps in half and the beasts break free, with the power of magic or love, a booty call or something like that, now we're back again with a newfound harem trailing behind us. Sweet.

Has made peace with his curse and can turn into crow mode on command. Still pretty powerful just not as he used to.

(old assigned name was Blade and Phantom)

Orphans that Phil found in the forest. They were not born hybrids. First batch of the only survivors from the Federation experiment in creating powerful hybrids when back then normal demon-witch hybrids were rare.

Self proclaimed twins, they agreed on Techno being older by 5 minutes.

Their souls were linked :)

Design wise Techno was a hybrid with some sort of boar demon, physically he was very strong for his age.

Ghastly was a hybrid I took inspiration from Phantom and Ghostbur(my oc now bitch)

They both went under a lot of growing pain. Magic wise they were powerful but had difficulty controlling them, especially Techno, Phil helped a lot.

Chayanne was found by Missa during his stay at Quesadilla Island, and decided to stay for longer to raise him. At some point Chayanne got very sick and Missa cannot heal him, leading him to search for the mysterious Crow Man from the forest.

Lullah was separated from her siblings during "the crash". She lived on her own in the wild for two months, until she was lead to the Crow House by a ghost in mirrors and puddles when she ask them to take her home.

Dapper I haven't got to into details, but they might be the source where the Federation got their hands on genes of shape shifting. He was kept with the other hybrid witches so she would learn their behaviors and grew along side them.

This is purely for fun and might not be super fleshed out. Feel free to ask questions, I may have answers or have to think of one(which is good!)
