From the line he gives us, it seems Tara did the thinking in the way of using magic items. So the idea that Mr. Hermit never considered asking this of a person didn't feel like much of a stretch 🤣

Okay but joking aside, this idea occurred to me and I just. Needed to exorcise it out of my brain. I knew it wouldn't leave me alone until it existed outside of me lol

As tragic as Mystra's charge is, as far as I can tell Gale seems to avoid reciprocating Tav's advances until he's given it since.... y'know, he might not be around much longer;;;

The way Gale shakes in camp absolutely wrecks me. And I wanted so bad to help him more between when the last item stopped working and when he gets the charge. To do something for him, even if it was a temporary comfort (maybe lose a spell slot or two that day from the cost of something like this?). Larian has already done so, so much in the way of camp interactions like the ones with Astarion (the mirror, the scars, etc) and I am so thoroughly grateful and impressed with what we already get but aeugh, I WANT it haha

#personal stuff #delete later #just finished rereading fragments [shaky thumbs up]#been struggling with writing so what is there to do but reread my own stuff to learn from my mistakes 👍#man you can REALLY tell where i started getting crunched for time by a self-imposed deadline. like the quality is staggering #i could have stopped this fic at april and been content with it fr...#like if i had shuffled around some stuff in the later chapters to appear a little earlier. and actually had april be the resolution #might've gone a bit better. but alas.#anyway. the second half of the fic is rough for sure. but the early chapters. those kick ass. genuinely.#august is a good introduction!! i like the setup!!#and though i STILL clutch my head in my hands wrt september. the themes of the conversation at the end came off well #november i love you november. captures the feeling of anxiety Really well. still makes me cry whenever i reread it To This Day #the argument in december actually kinda goes hard?? i am always so shy abt writing confrontation bc it feels Bad but man it kinda kicked as #and february mwah mwah mwah. loove the atmosphere with that one. it's a little dramatic but ough. the vibes are off the charts #turns out. the bad parts of these earlier chapters were a lot smaller than i thought #and by ignoring the urge to cringe and instead looking my work in the face. i can learn from my mistakes. crazy #most of the later chapters though. don't look at me i was struggling.#trying to come up w ideas and arrange them around important dates was a fun concept but the novelty wore off #as i was like ughh but thematically this scene would work better here before this chapter...#i had suuuch a strong vision for april but i kinda stumbled with the execution as pointed out by one commenter #and that kinda put me off the chapter as a whole on rereads even after editing it. like whyyyy did i write it like that. head in hands #and it does not fit all that well after march. i think i relied a little too heavily on the timeskips for drama in both chapters #june was fine i guess but don't get me started on july. july was ass i had no idea what i was doing.#i think i wrapped up that chapter really well for what i had to work with but like. man #i don't even like Reading stuff like that why'd i write it.#what writing a chapter for the sake of posting it rather than for the sake of finishing up a fic does to you 😔#anyway yeah. i had a lot of fun rereading it but. mostly in the first half. i could stop reading at february and be content with that.#i think i took psychic damage from reading the later chapters. not bc they were bad but bc like. i remembered not having as much fun w them #and feeling stressed and crunched for time like they were a homework assignment that was due instead of a fun hobby for me #crazy. not doing that this time.

hiii! here's a question for you: what's the story of how you got into F1?

Helloooo, so it's honestly pretty silly. So in my prev fandom, this author I really like(hello if you see this, you know who you are djfkkf) wrote an f1 au oneshog. And I read it once and was like huh interesting, cause I never had really heard of f1 before, and had to look up some terms bcs I was so ???? at everything(my Google search history: what does p1 in f1 mean? What is drs? What is a team principal? etc etc)

But I couldn't stop thinking about it, and I read it again, and again. And then I looked on the author's tumblr blog and saw he had answered some asks abt f1, like explaining the dynamic involved in the oneshot he wrote, and recommending how to get into it. So next step: watch a bit of DTS. And I definitely thought it was interesting, but I think I only watched 3 or so episodes. But hey! There was a race that very weekend, and I wanted to watch the actual sport and boom there we go, total landslide into my life being taken over.

F1 is such an interesting fandom to get into bcs the amount of info you have to learn. And it's really difficult at the beginning with all these things, concepts and people you've never heard of. So it was very fun to experience that over the course of a few races, like every weekend I came into it with more passion and knowledge! There's some word I'm thinking of that I can't remember aahhhh, but yeah basically its crazy the amnt of info you need to learn before you feel comfortable and at least somewhat knowledgeable.

Also one other funny thing, I think I may have talked abt this before. My brother is such a car guy, so back when I first got in, I really wanted to ask him if he liked f1. And so we're talking on the phone, and completely unprompted he's like "Ugh it sucks that I was abroad when the US GP happened"(he lives in Austin.) And I'm like OH SO YOU LIKE F1!? And now we're a lot closer than we were before that, bcs of f1 :)

#i really learned a lot in btwn races it was so fun #it was kimda fun honestly those first races #bcs you rly dont have as much anxiety and emotions yet 😭#cause now when i watch races im just yknow completely enthralled w nando and always so tense abt his results #but back then it was just. i only knew Max and he was doing quite well so it was easy to root for him #hahaha tho bcs of the fic i read i could only think abt Max as the character he was compared to #<- it was Anakin btw sjkfkg #so for the first two or so races i kept accidentally calling him Anakin 😭#but like by the third race i knew way more and had more opinions #but ill still always feel fond for Max as my introduction to the sport and first fav <3 #ah man so crazy that i actually ended up going to cota 😭 just bcs of that whole thing w my brother #it was weird to go to the race that started our f1 connection 🥺#catie.asks.

So to celebrate I decided to go back and do a callback scene to the first time the two of you met :D

It has been a little over 6 months since I drew his introduction. It's crazy how much your art style and skill levels can change in such a short amount of time.

Aside from those this post quite literally changed my life too. I never could've imagined the love this single elf could make me experience. I say it often but when I posted it I was getting ready to getting shamed, people saying it was "weird", but instead I got to meet thousands of you who shared my passion for him.

It has been a nonstop rollercoaster since his introduction, to the point I'm frankly still having a hard time keeping up with everything. But I wouldn't exchange the community he brought me for anything.

I love you guys and I'm glad 20.000 of you liked that silly comic I posted as well!!
