(The precursor to this conversation between Steve and Wayne)

Wayne loves having his nephew stay with his for the summer and loves when Eddie comes home from a day playing at the park to tell him fantastical stories about what he did.

Eddie has quite the imagination and a fascination with creepy-crawlers. It’s utterly amazing to listen to how to twists boring old Hawkins into a place of magic and fun. Wayne loves listening to it all while making them lunch.

So when Eddie starts coming home with tales about a fae creature with big eyes and skinny legs that he found in a tree, Wayne is amused. He tries to logic out what this magical creature could be and concludes the park must be having trouble with raccoons again.

A couple days later when Eddie excitedly tells him that the creature has the softest fur he’s ever felt, Wayne cautions him about touching wild animals, “There are things out there that don’t want to be touched and they can bite you.”

“No way, Uncle Wayne,” Eddie tells him, taking a big bite out of his jelly sandwich. “I won’t get bit because I showed dominance.”

He chews all the way before adding, “I bit him first.”

If you don’t mind the questions, how’d the Tortuga gang react to Chris tagging along? I assume they understood Chris would be joining them early on into Martin being accepted, but I imagine the situation was more like. Martin snagging a new job on the Tortuga >> realizing he can’t take this job and leave his brother alone >> Chris says don’t worry just take me with you >> Martin nervously asking heyyyyyyyy is it cool if my little brother comes with?

Obviously everyone had to be cool with it eventually, but do you know what Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy had going through their heads when a mildly emo, 14yo Chris rolled in with a deeply anxiety-ridden Martin?

This is kinda the awkward phase of the team's relationship where they know Martin is struggling, but he's not willing to let them help just yet.

The second Chris finds out about the Tortuga it becomes his life-mission to convince Martin to let him go on the trip (it will not be difficult at all to convince him)

Martin is just hesitant because he wants to make sure he's not being selfish in his decision to join the team. Of course Chris wants to go too, but Martin is trying to think of his best interest.

Of course, he eventually realizes that the team genuinely cares about them and he's willing to let them help out with Chris, and then the found-family can commence!!!

i know people on here have (rightfully) complained about how us-centric this hellsite is, i know i have too, but in the same way, i think tumblr is also very christian-centric

and yeah, those two are absolutely intertwined ("default" tumblrite is expected to be a usamerican with a christian background), and this phenomenon is not exclusive to tumblr, but it's fascinating (derogatory) how many internet phrases and jokes you're just supposed to get

like. the concept of what the devils sacrament is. my brother in christ. multiple references to whatever jesus supposedly did in the bible. something something patron saints. the tower of babel. what the hell a stigmata is. the eucharist. references to going to heaven or hell for whatever biblical rule. names of various angels or demons. lent.

im supposed to just. know all this, apparently
