Astrology Observations Pt.7
materialistđ

DISCLAIMER: These are just my personal observations and are meant for entertainment purposes only; it may not resonate with everyone due to the nuances of astrology. Please respect my work and avoid copying or stealing it. Enjoy reading!! đ§ââď¸đЎđ
đ§ââď¸ Every Aries/Scorpio placement I've known has weak eyesight and most definitely wears glasses đ
đ§ââď¸ Speaking of Martian (aries and scorpio) placements, itâs so hard to NOT notice these people. They always grab peopleâs attention whenever they go lmao. The attention could be either good or bad but whatever it is people will always turn their heads whenever these baddies walk in!!
đ§ââď¸ Mercury at 11 or 23 degrees (Aquarius degrees) are often such unique and witty people. The type of people who wear two different colored socks lmao or just do stuff out of the normđ, they are also very good at comebacks and have such a refreshing sene of humour
đ§ââď¸ Venus in the 3rd house in synastry could indicate going on short drives together, especially on a bikeđ¤
đ§ââď¸ Something Iâve noticed about venus square ascendant or venus square venus synastry is that it could potentially be one sided. Yes, there could be physical attraction BUT mutual love is usually not there. They are better off as friends tbh!
đ§ââď¸ Uranus in the 12th housers usually have no problem staying up late, either theyâre texting people or playing games or watching videos. Either way they always end up sleeping super late or just have a very erratic and messy sleep schedule
đ§ââď¸ People talk about how Scorpios are so jealous and possessive about the people they like but have you seen a VIRGO? Theyâre the real winners for being super jealous and possessive . It could be over their friends, someone theyâre dating or just people theyâre really fond of!
đ§ââď¸ Pisces/Neptune in the 2nd or 3rd house can really benefit from listening to subliminals!
đ§ââď¸ 29° is not only a fame placement but also causes a lot of anxiety because it represents endings or transitions. The 29th degree is known as the "anaretic degree," a term derived from the Greek word "anareta," meaning "destroyer" or "bringer of endings." This degree marks the final and most intense degree of a sign, signifying the culmination of the signâs energy. It leads to both high potential for significant events, such as fame, and heightened anxiety. The pressure to fulfill the sign's lessons before transitioning to the next creates a sense of urgency, sensitivity, and sometimes instability, contributing to stress and anxiety.
đ§ââď¸ Iâve noticed that this generation's pisces mars placements (especially men) are extremely defensive and aggressive for no reason. It makes sense because their Mars squares Pluto (Sagittarius)
đ§ââď¸ I had a question for y'all - Do you guys sometimes resonate WAY more with the planet person's description than the house person's? To some extent, everyone can resonate with both descriptions, but from what Iâve encountered, I sometimes donât resonate AT ALL with the house personâs description despite being the house person. I experienced Venus in the 12th house synastry, and I was the house person, but let me tell you, I seemed a lot more invested in the person than they were with me đđ and I resonated so DEEPLY with the planet personâs description. This has happened to me with 8th house moon synastry too, so I donât know if this experience only occurs when there is water house synastry involved , but do let me know your experience!

Know Your Soul Purpose With Your Big 3
It's been so much time since I've been here, but it's amazing to be back! Now, here's a topic I was wondering about today...
All our configurations hold divine meaning, in that before we are born, our souls chose the type of experiences we needed to undergo as part of our next visit on Earth. What makes us "us" is perfect in design. And what we're "made of" can be neatly seen in our birth charts. No birth nor birth chart happen by chance.
While itâs accurate that specific karmic work (which is part of our life's mission) is indicated by studying the positions of Saturn, its aspects, planets falling in water houses and the configuration of lunar nodes, I feel we can also find great part our soul's purpose (our main lessons) by analyzing our Big 3. This is equal to drawing a picture of the blueprint of our unique navigation system, our compasses through our human experience.
To make a draft of your soul's blueprint, take these steps!
Look at your chart to know your Ascendant, Sun and Moon signs and chart ruler(s). If your rising sign has two rulers, take them both into account. In my case, I always use whole sign system.
Identify the houses of your placements.
Start drafting your Ascendant, Sun and Moon signs' significations using the tables below, including both positive and negative traits. If we're moving through life based mostly on our positive qualities, it's very likely we're on the right track. Conversely, living constantly under the influence of our negative traits marks potential blockages to get where we need to be.
Add to your blueprint areas in which you naturally express your placement's traits (houses). This is important because you will know where your mission will be accomplished more easily or naturally.
Have fun!
If you're having a bit of trouble to come up with yours, take my own example...
I am proud of myself when I present to the world as passionate, powerful, magnetic, and intuitive (positive Scorpio rising qualities). I realize that when I become vengeful, jealous, obsessive and/or mournful (negative Scorpio rising qualities), I am attracting unnecessarily challenging circumstances that hinder my lessons in my life. My personality (rising sign) projects most in my physical appearance image and identity, in my close communities and in the pursuit of my dreams (Chart Rulers in 1st and 11th house). I feel my life has meaning when I act as a nurturing, sensitive, creative and empathetic person (positive traits of Cancer sun), but when I become needy, emotionally instable, insecure and/or manipulating with others (negative traits of Cancer sun), I realize that I am blocking myself from living in my fullest potential. The area where my conscious self (Sun sign) shines most is in my path towards higher learning, distant travelling, truth seeking, legal affairs and spirituality (Sun in 9th house). I feel safe and fulfilled when I can be brave, independent, assertive and passionate (positive Moon in Aries traits). But, when I realize that I'm repeatedly reacting in a violent, selfish, impulsive and/or inconstant way (negative Moon in Aries traits), I know that am blocking my ability to be peaceful within myself and move ahead in life. My emotional needs (Moon sign) are best taken care of through my habits, health care, daily routine, service to others, jobs, and pets (Moon in the 6th house).
Now, what information can you derive from this description? What does this tell about my purpose in this life?
Naturally, I am pulled to creative, healing and spiritual work. I studied Industrial Design in college, but I've expanded my career in other directions, including developing and managing intermittently art and esoteric online businesses while also holding an office job in Change Management. I am also the eternal student, self-learning and passionate about higher knowledge. I like to share my insights with others and help them find their own truth, their own awakening. I am drawn to intense (and sometimes not so positive) experiences and relationships, and have drastically changed my own image, jobs and spiritual views along the years. I've certainly went through a lot of turmoil, but also have gained significant life lessons and valuable wisdom thanks to the way I approach life. I cannot help to be deeply emotional, empathetic, passionate, excitable, idealistic and inspired, for the good and the bad! Even though it's not been an easy road, I realize that little by little my purpose is being fulfilled... and I hope you all do!
What about you? Let me know what you find out about yourself!
Thanks for reading! đđ¤

REPLIES TO SAFFY LAMBASTING LIAM

@windermeresimblr
Wow! There's Saffy's backbone.
Yeah she's not known for holding back!
@drudragonrose
She's with a boy her own age that she actually likes. Be gone worm!
@ivorycrayon
Man, you write shades of grey so well. Itâs hard to root for anybody, but itâs also hard to condemn anybody completely because all your charactersâ actions are way too complex. âHeâs wrong but..â âShe shouldnât have to deal with this but..â I could use your characters if I ever taught ethics class đ (except for Anita, that is, I always struggle to find any redeeming qualities in that lady :P)
Thank you so much Ash! I love writing morally grey characters who have questionable (but hopefully relatable) motives so it's extremely heartening to read your comment. And I love how steadfast you've always been in your opinion of Anita, lol!
@keoni-chan
I don't like this one bit. I hope Liam's brand new backbone doesn't evolve into an "if I can't have you..."-situation đą
who knows what might have happened if fate hadn't intervened....
@dresdendarlin
Oooh itâs his snapping moment. Heâs gonna do something drastic and crazier next.
@batsheba
Ok, now let's see if he, the creep Liam, can process this information?! Whatever happens I hope Saffy will be ok... I'm worried Liam will do something utterly stupid and potentially dangerous.
@oasislandingresident
Ooooh shit's about to go down!!! đż
@kimmiessimmies
I'm with @batsheba, this is not going to go down well with Liam...
@wannabecatwriter
Be careful, Saffron. He's in a weird mindstate now.
@bool-prop
Oh no. He's going to snap.
@muses-circle
đ¤Ś
@muses-circle
Liam will either have a meltdown right there, in the parking lot, or he'll wait until he's in the middle of class and doing something worse. I'm worried about what his breaking point will look like.
@muses-circle
And Saffron, men DO leave their wives. It's call divorce, honey. Life isn't as black and white as you think.
I didn't write Saffy's speech very well...what she was trying to say was that it's a well-known fact that married men never leave their wives for their side-pieces! She was actually quite enraged that Liam turned out to be the statistical anomaly, lol. That was the last thing she wanted to happen!
@echoweaver
Woo. Saffron's right, but wow she's still got so much growing up to do. OTOH, Liam seemed to be with her in large part because she verbally abused him. It's such a messed up puppy.
Yeah, he seems to derive a perverse satisfaction from being the victim and indulging in self-defeating behaviour. It's also not an accident that the two women in his life routinely humiliate and criticise him.đŹ
@sweetnovember77
Saffy's words can devastate ANYONE with strong emotions toward another person. It's like a knife to the heart.
Yeah, Saffy can be very acid-tongued. He probably deserved the wake up call but Saffy can count herself very lucky he didn't snap or do something as drastic as Stephanie.
@anamoon63
đŽ This is not going to end well. I wish Saffy had been a little more diplomatic. đ
It definitely did not end well, but fortunately for Saffy she was not the one who was impacted the most! I hope at the very least she learns some important life lessons from this whole sorry experience.
@simsaralove
I really hope this will make Mr. Yucky realize he better go live in the Twinbrook swamps and not make him do something stupid and ruin Saffyâs happiness đ
@justanothersimsblog
I'd tell her to slap him but I think he likes that so... maybe knee him in the balls then lol
lol he is such a pathetic masochist that he would probably enjoy that too!đ
@greywardenconsort
He's a monster thru & thru
A sad, spineless, loser monster.
@streetlites
That's gotta sting. Bwahahah. Also, what did he think she was going to do? Leap into his arms? She was never like that toward him to begin with.
@mysimsloveaffair
They are both better off without each other. Saffy is doing him a favor and he doesn't even know it. SMH
Liam was always doomed by his poor life decisions and victim mentality. I'm also thinking that it was possible he had affairs as a passive-aggressive form of revenge, but didn't count on falling so heavily for Saffy. In any case, I think he got what he deserved.

#28. Fiametta Lanthi
Spring was always your favorite season. There is beauty among sorrow. Your voice, loud and strong, carries the melody of spring to the tops of mountain peaks to the lowest of valleysâyour lute in hand and wind at your feet. You came for adventure and found love, and your joy was ever mounting. But like a songbird falls prey to a cat or sudden cold snap, your voice was cut off.
âfiamettaâ means little fiery one. âlanthiâ is a historical name, derived from the city wish of palanthia, which is coincidentally where fiametta and her brother, galen were born.
age at time of death: 26, cis female (she/her), she was buried in her hometown next to her brother so they could pass on to cerullius together. romance: yes, she was in a committed relationship with dion undershield prior to her passing. sex: yes, definitely. preference: masculine.
like her name would suggest, fiametta had long, curly red hair that reached down to the back of her knees, and bright green eyes, the same shade as her brother galenâs. she was about 5â6â and curvaceous, but always had a pep in her step.
one of the few BARDs blessed with the ability to use cantatio, fiametta was quite powerful for one so young. her voice was youthful and enchanting; and she could do things from create illusions, to swaying monsters to fight for her with just a note and a few plucks of her lute. despite this, she always had a great interest in archery, and always begged erik to give her archery lessons.
before her untimely death, fiametta was like the sun shining on a midday afternoon; bright and happy and living her best life. after begging her parents to let her see the world by venturing to guilds, with her brother in tow, fiametta entered the fray ready to experience and see everything the labyrinth had to offer and then some. when she was assigned to the AGoE, she quickly caught the attention and admiration of everyone around her, especially and most importantly, the attention of dion. the two of them had quite the whirlwind romance; she was able to bring him out of his angry shell and mellow him whenever he became frustrated, and she was adored by erik and hoa⌠but alas. it was her singing that would ultimately bring their downfall: as she sometimes convinced beasts to fight to aid them with her songs, it was only horrible timing and fate that the awakening of the demon king should begin to thrust magic stronger than the cantatio that fiametta could control through the labyrinth. this shockwave turned the current monster on their side against them, and dion was too late to shield her. the monster was able to kill fiametta, galen and hoa before erik and dion were able to bring it down. unfortunately, fiametta was completely mauled, starting with her throat.
in life fiametta was a bright soul and always believed in second, third, fourthâas many times as you needed to get it rightâchances. her music was constantly compared to the melodies that perhaps brought the world into being, but she always laughed this off and said she would never be as wonderful as their gracious goddesses. she loved to laugh and was easily amused, finding wonderment in even the most simple of thingsâyou couldnât help but adore her. she could also be quite stubborn; once she had her mind made up about something, it would be hell or highwater to convince her otherwise.
3 fun facts about them: fia was actually the one to suggest a relationship with dion first; she pursued him quite aggressively, which was a surprise to her brother as sheâd had many suitors before back in wish of palanthia, but none of them did it for her like dion lol. her admiration of archery was sparked by stories her mother used to tell her about how the god MIZDARR watches over fields. despite being very musucially gifted, she had no formal training and was actually quite bad at trying to learn music properly.

How to Use Chomolungma for Writing Adventure Stories; Or, the Plot Mountain Method
Estimated Reading Time: 13 Minutes
I've become a little obsessed with stories of Chomolungma lately. You probably know this sacred Nepalese mountain by its Westernized name, Mount Everest.
Anyway, I'm never going to scale the world's highest peak because I have no interest in losing any of my toes to frostbite or dying of pulmonary edema. Don't think I'm about to go dashing off into the wilderness.
BUT I think we writers can derive a lot of lessons from mountain climbers when plotting for grand adventure novels.
And why the hell is that? Why Chomolungma specifically? Well, I'll explain.
Just a head's up that my advice probably won't apply to romances, mysteries, or anything other than your typical "we're going on an adventure to slay a dragon or whatever." I don't have much experience in those genres and am not going to step on any toes.
As usual, this is just my opinion. There are thousands of different plotting tools out there, and this is only one of them. If you don't like it, then no need to use it. I'm simply giving you a different option. Alright, let's go!
I am sure you have seen this diagram a million billion times and are very tired of it.
It's not wrong, per se; in fact, it looks much like a mountain. Most stories do indeed have these same parts, and so will yours if you use the Plot Mountain method.
However, there's some things that this simplified version doesn't explain:
It acts as if you're just constantly ramping up pressure. There's no breathers to let readers catch up.
There are no differential tensions to keep interest.
There are no "mini-climaxes" that impress upon the reader a sense of danger.
We are not provided with an understanding of how to create different stages of the plot within the rising action.
There is no discussion of how characterization changes during the course of the plot.
It's not explained how to organize the falling action in order to provide continued tension and character development.
I also have some problems with other common plotting methods, specifically Save the Cat and the Hero's Journey. Mostly, I think that they get really tiring and formulaic because they're just so rigid. There's little room to add your own flare; you're plugging all the shit in as intended.
Save the Cat especially irks me because it basically demands that you divide up your story into little percentages so everything happens right according to this algorithm.
If I start to get a hint that your story was designed by adhering to these standards, then I can just predict what's going to happen and I don't care anymore. "Oh ... there's the B Story. I guess the Fun and Games is coming next. Yippee."
One time, I had someone beta read one of my manuscripts, and she complained that my story didn't exactly match this structure.
"I couldn't figure out where Act 1 ends and Act 2 begins!" she wailed. Well, given that I didn't design my story according to strict acts, it's no wonder you couldn't find them.
Also, I hate math. Don't infest my passion with my nemesis, please.
So, I challenge you to think a bit differently using my method instead. It combines characterization with plot and momentum to offer you a natural setup for a great story. Thinking of your story this way forces you to focus on how all elements come together, and it discourages you from piling on dumb shit that won't help.
My option is also more flexible; I'm not telling you exactly when and where the stuff needs to happen. That's up to you, babe. You're the boss.
Key elements of Plot Mountain
Your plot must be desirable for some reason.
Whatever goal your characters have should feel worthwhile. People spend their life's savings and a good portion of their lives to get to Chomolungma, facing down all the frustrations and disappointments to do it.
While your character may not necessarily know what is in store for them, they should nevertheless have a reason for wanting to achieve whatever you've got going on.
You need to "equip" your characters by giving them the skills and purpose necessary to tackle this challenge.
Mountain-madness-morons who think themselves "Chosen Ones" are generally the ones that fuck up and die. That's why you have all these rich tourists falling into crevasses, where their bodies are trapped forever.
Similarly, you must demonstrate to your readers that your character is somehow worthy of the challenge you're giving them.
Sometimes, this means they have the natural passion and inclination but need some training. At Chomolungma Base Camp, the native Sherpas give their charges some lessons in high-altitude mountaineering before they head off onto the mountain, even if they have experience. This is your "orientation session" for the characters that shows why they, specifically, can handle what you are throwing at them.
Every character has a reason for being there.
This is a good reminder for people who have a tendency to cram a million characters into their stories.
A Chomolungma expedition is not composed of random passersby who feel like going up a mountain today. Everyone there brings something unique to the table and must work in concert to achieve their goal.
This offers you many options for main characters and support characters. For example, an expedition team can have mountain climbers, Sherpa guides, porters, and a camera crew, and you can give your main cast similar roles.
Your characters have agency and make choices.
No one just kinda wanders up Chomolungma. They must consistently make the right decision, and it's rare for a deus ex machina to pop in.
Yes, things fit together to make things happen, and there are sometimes miracles, but for the most part, it is the preparation, experience, and some external circumstances (like weather) that decide whether someone lives or dies. No last-minute Hail Marys or interventions from on high.
There is a time crunch.
It's rare to summit Chomolungma in the winter because it's just too dangerous, so climbers need to head off during the spring and summer, before the weather turns nasty. There's a short window of opportunity.
Because the Nepalese government only issues a limited number of expedition passes each year, and they're so expensive, many people only get one shot in their entire lives. Everything has to go perfectly or they may never get to try again.
Additionally, being at altitude for any period of time is dangerous, which keeps people pushing for the summit even when they want to give up and go home.
You should show the pressure of your plot, explaining why it needs to be done right now rather than ten years in the future. We must feel that this is essential and that time could run out.
Every summit attempt is fraught with peril, and many have to turn back.
It is incredibly common for expeditions to hit bad weather and have to abandon the summit push; every climber knows and fears this.
Demonstrating that it's entirely possible not to hit your climax infuses the story with a sense of danger. It can also help you decide what might be more impactful and relevant to your story: having to turn back (which opens the door for a sequel) or getting to the summit and celebrating.
Not everyone makes it to the top.
You probably know that Chomolungma has at least 200 bodies littered across it, many of which have become signposts for other climbers attempting not to meet the same fate. There are likely dozens of others that have been blown away by the wind into crevasses or buried under snow.
Depending on your genre, you can and should show that others have failed, or even kill one of your characters during the "summit attempt" to highlight the peril.
Thinking of different plot points as camps reminds you that you need moments of downtime.
While you can't overstay your welcome on Chomolungma, you also can't be climbing 24/7; you'll straight up die. It's important to stop, take a break, and acclimate to the different altitudes as you keep going.
"ABC" stands for "Advanced Base Camp," basically right at the foot of the mountain. It's where you actually start your summit push. North Col is also known as Camp 1.
The camps, I think, are the key element of the Plot Mountain method, because they remind you that your story needs to "plateau" at a few different points to give your characters (and readers) time to breathe.
This doesn't mean that there's no tension at all, because things can still go bad at camp. It just means we're slowing down, recapping things, allowing for character development and maybe a bit of backstory.
You can also allow your characters to meet background characters at these camps, knowing that they will not be around forever. These background characters can offer helpful advice, sow doubt, or impress upon us the risks that will be up ahead.
Each "push" between camps is a little different, with unique dangers.
As you head up Chomolungma, there are different challenges to overcome between each camp; this may be steeper climbs or dangerous crevasses with only a tiny metal ladder to keep you from plunging to your death. Driving snow and fierce gusts can blow you off the mountain as you get higher and higher.
And, of course, there's the Death Zone at the top, where's there's practically no oxygen whatsoever and it's so freezing cold that you may lose your feet.
The danger rises with every push toward the summit, reminding you to build the tension and demonstrate the dangers in your story. After each camp, you'll show brand new risks that nevertheless fit into the plot.
A climax can't overstay its welcome.
After spending all this time preparing to reach the top of the world, climbers actually don't get that much time on the summit. It's freezing cold, the air is impossibly thin, and they need to head down before it gets dark.
Similarly, you need to let the climax linger just long enough to offer catharsis without boring everyone. This is the height of the tension, so keep it fast but thorough.
The summit isn't the end of the journey.
Many people rush to the climax and then spend almost no time wrapping things up, which makes the story feel incomplete. While the downclimb doesn't need to last as long as the summit push, you should still devote a chapter or two to the falling action, which may have its own dangers.
Characters must be changed by their time on Plot Mountain.
No one comes back from Chomolungma without changing. Maybe they have a renewed sense of purpose or a better appreciation for life. Maybe they have made friends, discovered themselves, gained better skills.
Or maybe they lost some toes while up there. Or lost a friend.
Whatever you choose, it must be clear that your characters have grown and evolved throughout the course of their story. They need to end up somewhere different internally, even if they are returning right back to base camp.
How to Use the Plot Mountain Method
Here's the major points you'll hit using Plot Mountain. This is a bit of a simplification, of course, because technically Camp 3 is in the Death Zone (above 26,247 feet), but look, we're fiction writers, not mountaineers.
Base Camp
This is the exposition, where you tell us a bit about the characters, the world, etc.
Base Camp -> ABC
We have a sense of momentum, that something is building up, but don't quite know what it is.
Advance Base Camp
The inciting event, where the character understands what is happening and must choose to accept or refuse. If they accept, they head up to North Col. If they refuse, well, you're going to push them up there.
ABC -> North Col
The first challenge (and the first chance to turn back). This is a sobering moment that impresses upon them that they are in peril, but it's not as risky as the next steps. If they came there against their will, this is when they start to get more committed and aren't refusing quite so much.
North Col
The first downtime. We learn more about the characters and get a better idea of the problem, but don't have all the details yet. Characters may still be a little delusional about what is happening. There may still be some resistance.
North Col -> Camp 2
The second challenge, which offers different dangers. The characters have faced difficulty now and have a better understanding of what is at stake. They are older, wiser, and less optimistic.
Camp 2
Characters may be questioning their ability, looking back down toward North Col and wondering if it would be cowardly to leave now. We have a better understanding of the potential dangers and the ramifications of failure.
Camp 2 -> Camp 3
The third challenge. The characters are fully committed and can't walk away. They know what they're going for and refuse to be deterred because they're so close to what they want. The dangers they face now give a taste of what the climax holds for them, impressing upon the readers that something enormous and risky will happen.
Camp 3
We are given a stronger understanding of this plot's full purpose and how it fits into the world. It's a time to stop and reflect on why this is important, what the characters have learned so far, and how their lives will change once they hit the climax.
The Death Zone
The dark before the dawn. Things are at their most difficult, but we're not quite there yet. The tension is extreme, and characters are truly fighting for their lives. They're scared, disoriented, and worn down by the challenges, but still willing to go on. There are no respites and no safe harbors. No one is going to save our characters but themselves.
Summit
Climax. It's fast, but not too fast: we get a chance to soak up what is happening, but we know that it won't last forever. There's a sense of pressure and the need to get out of the line of fire.
Death Zone Revisited
This is an opportunity to demonstrate how tired the characters are and the ramifications of their decisions. Things still feel fragile and dicey. We don't know whether the characters are out of danger just yet.
Camp 3
An opportunity to let the characters rest and reflect. We see the changes that have come about because of the climax and see them differently.
Camp 3 -> Base Camp
There's no need to linger all the way down the falling action; we don't require as much detail because we understand the world. Still, we should get a sense of how the characters navigate this new chapter of their lives and what they have learned.
Base Camp
The finale. It may be triumphant or heartbreaking, depending on what happened at the summit. Muted goodbyes, happy reunions, bittersweet reflection, and a sense that the characters are moving on with a better understanding of themselves.
And that's about it. You can add camps if you need to, or have little biovacs if your characters get stuck somewhere. You can find good places for description during those downtime moments. There's a lot to do!

9 Years Yearning is a gay coming-of-age romance set in a fantasy world. It follows Uileac Korviridi, a young soldier training at the War Academy. His primary motivations are honoring the memory of his late parents, protecting his little sister Cerie, and becoming a top-notch soldier.
However, there's a problem: Orrinir Relickim, a rough and tough fellow pupil who just can't seem to leave Uileac alone.

The book features poetry, descriptions of a beautiful country inspired by Mongolia, and a whole lot of tsundere vibes.

Anon wrote: Hello MBTI Notes . I hope you are doing well . I really enjoy the Blog you provided us with . It's really a gift . Thank you very much .
I am an INTP and still feel maladaptive and I really have some few problems I need to explain if you could help me with them . I will be really thankful . I have Seen that you ask your audience the purpose of their Questions .
My purpose for asking is the following : To understand myself better and also Improve myself and be self-actualized as I progress through Stages of ego development and cognitive function Mastery .
My Questions are the following :
Question #1 : How can I overcome the obsession that I have for the perfect way of starting my self-development Journey and what is wrong with starting now and every moment I feel so rather than obsess over starting the next morning fresh ? - I mean what do I need to do to internalize the shift in my mindset that this is how it should be done rather than gather information and organize them and create a framework for how to work and not do the actual work but just '' seem to do '' and plan rather than do the effective work .
I am aware that I generate activities to avoid doing the actual work by citing the importance of waking up early , having the right plan , right mental models and many more excuses for postponing but it feels like an addiction and I don't know how to break the pattern . How can I understand it better , is it just Underdeveloped Ne and weak Si due to more brainstorming ideas but difficulty implementing ?
Question #2 : When I have a mental model to work with , let's say , Maslow's hierarchy of needs , or The DEAL In 4 Hour work week to grow and Improve my Life and uplift myself using this mental models as they would help me grow through how loosely they become frameworks from which I could invite goals from different branches like Improve My Introverted thinking or Build a YouTube Channel about Conscious Politics , I have to somehow go on to Reddit to look for validation . Ask differently to get validation from different people but never experiment and derive the answer or Just find out and stop needing people excessively . Is this some sort of Fe grip ? -- Can I know how to undo it through cognitive function Improvement and what I would be aiming for to end it ?
Question #3 : My Third Question is more like why I am as an INTP and many others I met passive and apathetic and can't seem to find an ambition that drives us restless and hungry . I have been excited at times about specific ambitions but this seems to have dissolved when I reached 26 years . I definitely have introspected on more and more and had some answers like the following : Eliminate escapism language , put myself in no return environment like a different city where I am far from home and there is a prospect of being fired from apartment from a landlord , act before I am ready and other behaviors that would create the urgency to make it . But again , I lack self-trust In my answers ? - I don't trust myself much this days . I want to be ambitious because of the energy and burning desire to make it through different stages of my life improvement but passivity seems to be the overwhelming energy . Maybe because since the last 5 Years , I lost my father who I was doing more studying to impress , Lockdown lowered myself esteem through media and fear , Getting sick with terbocolusis . How to have a breakthrough from this ?
Notes : Sorry for all this questions , I would be really appreciative if you help me through them . Thanks for everything you do .

I worked as a teacher for many years, so sometimes I can't help but look at situations from that perspective. To me, you sound like a student who is good at following instructions (and can thus get a good grade) but ultimately doesn't understand the purpose of the assignment (and thus hasn't really learned the lesson). Such students are good at reciting nice sounding words they heard from teacher but aren't yet capable of independent thought, which might explain why you depend on others to validate you. Even though you stated your purpose explicitly, there is something about it that doesn't quite ring true, as though the string of fancy words is masking an underlying issue. If the underlying issue is a mystery because you're not fully aware of it, there's not much I can do but speculate as to what it might be.
I often say that self-improvement must be motivated by a genuinely positive intention if one hopes to get truly positive results. Unfortunately, when people lack self-awareness, they aren't aware that their intention is actually negative, but they can convince themselves that it's positive nonetheless. Generally speaking, a negative intention unconsciously attempts to cover up a deeper psychological issue, usually because it would be too difficult/painful to examine it directly. In proceeding with a negative intention, attempts at self-improvement remain superficial at best, only ever addressing symptoms but never able to touch deeper root causes. This is a common pitfall of self-help methods. Addressing symptoms can of course bring some emotional relief or minor life progress, but it doesn't produce lasting psychological change or spiritual transformation of the sort you seem to be seeking.
Although you asked three questions, they seem related and all tied back to the same mysterious underlying issue. I believe the major clue comes in the third question about apathy. It's possible that your intention is actually negative because you're really just seeking to fill a void of emptiness within. If that's the case, even if you're able to reach all the goals you've set, you'll still feel inexplicably unfulfilled, because the goals haven't addressed the root problem.
A common manifestation of unhealthy Fe is being devoid of feeling inside, which can lead a person to seek sources of feeling from the outside world, in vain attempts to fill the void. The void is like a black hole, bottomless, so trying to fill it is a never-ending task. It can even turn into a sort of addiction that has to be fed regularly. In INTPs this addiction is usually fed through Ne via constant novelty-seeking or through Ti+Ne via constantly seeking out some new horizon to conquer. Unfortunately, novelty always wears off and then it's off to find something else for the void to consume.
How does one get out of this addictive pattern? Ideally, the first step is to confront the problem of emptiness directly, to understand it and find the right ways of resolving it. I don't know your history, so I can't tell you all the reasons for why you feel empty, how it originated, or how it evolved over time. It's something you need to reflect on.
The most I can say about it only relates to functional stack dynamics, so whether the following is true in your particular case is for you to decide. Being disconnected from Fe means that one lives in a state of emotional disconnection from the world. This existential state of disconnection creates emotional emptiness, which can manifest as boredom, indifference, or apathy. Related to your first two questions, the goals you set for yourself seem to exacerbate the disconnect rather than heal it. Your attempts at self-improvement can be self-sabotaging if, unconsciously, your intention isn't actually to grow but rather to cover up the problem of disconnection.
The way to heal emotional disconnection is to actively form emotional connections. You can change your physical environment all you want, but as long as you have no real emotional connection to it, you'll continue to feel empty. This would be an example of knowing how to follow instructions but not really grasping the lesson.
In essence, you have to make the choice to care and take responsibility for things other than yourself, things out in the real world. E.g.: How much do you care about what is outside of yourself? Do you live your life in a way where your existence matters to more than just you? Do you make any difference in other people's lives? Do you take on duties or get involved with causes that would allow you to offer the best of yourself to support and enhance a greater good? Do you value something more than your own personal gain? Do you nurture an appreciative and loving attitude toward all the objects and people surrounding you?
Working on Ti doesn't accomplish much as long as your knowledge and skills aren't being put to good use. Building a youtube channel where you talk to no one in particular doesn't accomplish much as long as you continue to shield yourself from any real entanglements or consequences. For some people, getting their life in order is the challenge they need to progress and grow. But for others, imposing order on life is a way to avoid the messiness of actually living a life (one of the temptations of Ti-Si loop). Perhaps the activities you have chosen keep the world existing as a mere abstraction or always at a comfortable distance, either way, the result is you remain emotionally disconnected from it.
To be connected to the world means being a full part of it. You can't just dip your toe in the water here and there, whenever it suits your mood, always safely in control, always free to walk away to something else. At some point, you have to dive into the sea, sink or swim on your own, immerse yourself completely and risk getting swept away by the tides. You claim to have done something like this through your "no return" scenarios, but it's possible those scenarios are well within your ability to manage and don't produce any significant stakes. The challenges you've set up are good personal challenges to conquer for learning some practical life skills, but they somehow conveniently leave the problem of Fe emotional disconnection untouched.
Eventually, most personality issues go back to auxiliary development. As mentioned, seeking out novelty or challenge as a means of filling an emotional void is a misuse of Ne. You mention "ambition" but Ne is more about aspiration - the two aren't the same. You aim for things you define as "higher" but they aren't anything greater in terms of grand vision. Ne requires investment of blood, sweat, and tears in an aspirational attempt to create great positive changes in the world around you.
Perhaps you focus too much on yourself, i.e., your feelings, your journey, your methods, your models, your goals, your race to prove you can reach some imaginary finish line (that would help cover up low self-esteem), etc etc. All that inward attention without the outward connections to balance it just maintains and worsens disconnection, doesn't it? But why is your attention so misplaced? Why do you get so caught up in nitpicking the details of what you should be doing? Well, sowing doubt and hesitation is a good way to forestall the scariest aspects of Ne+Fe development, isn't it? It seems your idea of what makes a good life is too small or narrow. I'm speaking of putting yourself FULLY out there in the world, committing to something important and risking all of your feelings and emotions in the process, i.e., what it takes to live a full life. Keep finding "reasons" to hold back from living and you'll eventually feel stuck in place.

CORE ROOTS
This is a letter from the heart, in an effort to reach every individual, to be consciously aware of their actions and decisions.
When one encounters those that conceal their true intentions, and those that build on the misfortunes of others, with little regard for moral integrity or abiding by pure honourable moral principles, one must ask, âWhy do we accept this intolerant behaviour?.â
Endings are often constituted as a failure, due to misjudgement or error in processing or assessing the threat infront of them. A termination of a long standing contract, oath, promise, or blind loyalty to another that has acted with savage ill intent to destroy the union that was coveted and honoured for a long term period of time, signifies dissent at its core. Conclusions should be viewed as blessings, divine protection, a process of elevation where we have obtained and abstracted all of the fundamental wisdoms and lessons from a karmic counterpart. At the period of completion, one may experience the feeling of a metaphysical void, forever bruised with scars. Was the goal obtained? Meaning, subconsciously, we must have subconsciously been aware that the cycle had completed, or acknowledge that one had to move out of a set state of patterns, beliefs, or predicament that was detrimental to their growth . Did the ending enable a rite of passage out of a long standing generational cycle? Not all endings are blessings however, not all conclusions should be perceived as failure, errors, or misfortunes, for without endings how do we recognize true pain, suffering, and misfortune from blessings, abundance, and rejection leading to redirection. All seasons have to endure their figurative and rhetorical spiritual cycles in order to usher in metamorphosis and rebirth. A trees roots are stronger than the wind that it encounters, so to, we must recognize that the roots we make will withstand opposition even when we endure turbulence.
Endings enable us to process objectively the sequences of events that we have been failing to understand or comprehend therefore, we must then recognize that once we begin again, we reset, and restart from experience rather than from ignorance. When we experience closures, completions, a denouncement of what is no longer sustainable to maintain in a healthy environment, we derive at resolutions that either denote peace or destruction. It is essential to end repetitious lessons or cycles that hold no value to our lives. We will encounter numerous sequences and phenomenons within our lifetime, for our enlightenment and self realization. It is essential that we follow through on our spiritual process, without a counterforce or resistance. Our moral constructions consistently require us to observe what we have been accepting blindly, and we must recognize and learn the lesson, meaning, root cause, and ultimately accept what no longer can be changed, to achieve personal resolutions for our evolutionary growth.
Give yourself the permission to submit your resignation voluntarily from a situation which causes destruction of the self and others or begins the first phases of manifesting a hostile or intolerable environment within your realm. Within our human existence, we must abstain from situations or experiences which cause great violations on our life. When one encounters negative constructive criticism, diminishing their self worth or value, or enables degradation, dilapidation of their legacy, and silencing their inner truth or inner voice, you must take action. It is ones responsibility to refrain from these toxic environments, and to recognize the signs of abuse. When your presence is no longer valued, if you are kept as an option, if you allow others to subdue you in your illusionary rightful place of their own constructs to control you, you are ultimately giving away your power and curtailing your right to sovereign expression and emancipation for the right to choose what is best for your life. When one becomes entangled in calculated maneuvers of destabilization, you have to recognize that it is an imbalance of power and you are intentionally at the helm of a power dynamic.
When one enables another to orchestrate their life, it results in long term damaging effects that seldomly can be resolved in a peaceful manner. A situation where there is an active breakdown in communication, trust, honourability, and loyalty, signifies that you are placed into a cyclical lesson that needs to be healed. If you experience exclusion or isolation from discussions, projects, or events that you used to take pleasure in, or experience minimal interactions while being expectant to give more than expected, it is a sign that a cycle has reached an interval of no return as there is no respect within the relationship. Healthy relationships encompass trust, respect, love, and support, if this is not present, acknowledge the situation is not encouraging growth, poses a challenge for growth, and realize that it sets into motion scrutiny or pushback to enable less advocacy or protection for the party that is being victimized. Fluctuations or extreme pendulum shifts within a relationship are a result of control, whereas, a healthy relationship which is anchored in tolerance and cooperation will be open, honest, transparent, and praise constructive communication and resolutions. Within a power dynamic, if one experiences alienation, isolation, deprivation, silencing, destruction, humiliation, or the overall morale plummets to a point of one disengaging due to wanting to reclaim their inner peace or protection, this indicates that there is an awareness that one is unwilling to partake in abuse, and all resources to peace have been effectively blocked. Do not permit or allow a culture of fear or uncertainty within your realm of reality, diffuse a situation before it escalates. Within life, seek equilibrium, cohesion, transparency, accountability, and empowered environments, that enable openness, transparency, discussions, and cease to accept situations that instill fear of retaliation or punishment. We are all born with intrinsic unique gifts, and we are not here to be derailed or punished for someoneâs gain or pleasure. Growth can only be fostered within environments that enable fairness and not dishonest or unpleasant means.
Acceptance of unfair treatment or enabling the disapproval of another is a form of judgement, which may be the result of past traumas, learned experiences, or projected onto by another through generational acceptance or adoption. Judgement placed on another due to uncontrolled circumstances is stigmatization in the rawest form. If we adopt or project negative or unfair beliefs onto a marginalized group, or those that we perceive to be as the other, we construct an inhospitable environment where invisible obstacles or objectives are set into motion, where peaceful relations are set aside, and treatment or remedies are revoked. To live in tolerance, acceptance, and cooperation, one must act in honour of respect for all. We are all equal, with inherent gifts and abilities, that all contribute to make our environments function with cohesiveness. If we define the other as a maverick, outsider, a problem to be remedied, or set characteristics or attributes for what is undesirable such as cultural backgrounds, orientation, colour, disabilities, mental illnesses, or social status, we are then rescinding our evolutionary growth by giving into marginalization and segregation of what others want to be used as an example.
No human being should be used as an example, or used for personal gain, mocked for their circumstances, or seen as less desirable or even worse, denied existence or seen as nothing. When an attribute orchestrates or enables another to discredit a segment of society, it evokes rejection and isolation which destabilizes an individual or group at their core. To state that there is a social hierarchy based on certain traits or expectations, is to give no room or opportunity, for any other that does not meet those expectations, which leads to exclusionary principles or norms. What makes another feel they have moral superiority over another? We all have been born with goals, wishes, visions, and gifts, however, it is not for another to decide anotherâs fate, worth, or value. Internalized stigmatization can often lead to projected programming, non objective beliefs, or stereotypes which ultimately cause fragmentation within society at its core. When a society has reached a level of becoming volatile, it is no longer sustainable, free and open, or safe. Dealing with these issues are complex and complicated, and unfortunately will ultimately take generations to peel the layers away. When we utilize discernment and diplomatically approach these issues with care and justice we then mitigate its long term effects of destruction and destabilization. Be mindful that the pain we cause others can be acute, as it can constrain their participation and involvement within the community at large out of fear of judgment or prejudice, diminish their quality of life, and reduce empathy and compassion.
Discrimination at any form causes great impact on anotherâs ability to feel protected and safe. When one is disparaged, it causes cascading destruction and intolerance, heightening conflict and stress within their existence. When we formally educate ourselves about the learned experiences of others, only then do we place ourselves in their shoes. No one is a failure, we are entitled to make mistakes for our awakening and learning experiences. With self awareness, adopt a mindset to be aware of how societal judgement can cause marginalization, which results in grief, depression, despair and loss. Accusing, condemning, branding, shaming, or activating characteristics to diminish another, causes irretrievable, irreversible, and irreparable harm and sorrow to another. To build oneâs environment on the destabilization of another, to gain greed or need for your particular self interest represents, an uncultivated and unaware mind, that seeks gain over moral respect and responsibility to protect. When one takes advantage of another, causes betrayal at the most intricate levels, it dilutes trust, which is the core foundation that sustains and builds a relationship. Do not tolerate dishonourable intent, for there is no remedy, and it is impossible to return to a previous condition of neutrality or peace.
Defamation, reputational harm, injury, or assault inflicted in the form of emotional, mental, physical, or psychological forms, cause core wounds which culminates over time, and often leads those considered prey or vulnerable at the mercy of their oppressor or perpetrator. When one sets out the intention to cause permanent and intentional damage, it not only affects and affects the victim but escalates to their external environment meaning family, friends, acquaintances, and society which surrounds them. Injustice at its core, promotes non-equilibrium and a state of dysfunctionalism, which erodes trust and enables infractions and violations at the constitutional level, as it erodes fundamental human rights. Complications, negligence, collapse, division, or fragmentation, promotes disunity at its core, and as a collective society, we must protect the sacred integrity to ensure all are treated with respect, honour, and dignity. It is imperative that you recognize the signs of violations to ensure your inner peace and sovereignty are not eroded.
Tolerance of deceit, belittling someoneâs worth ethic or goals, or placing judgement on work ethic which one can not perform or is incapable of doing the task for themselves, projection based on judgement or patterned behaviour, are a result of programming and further enabling conflicts or turbulence, distortions, and disturbances to exist and persist beyond what is tolerable. Blind ignorance is compliance and should not be underestimated. One powerful quote I heard within this lifetime was from a movie where the lead protagonist stated to the villain âI cannot snuff out my candleâs light to make yours brighter.â When we enable another to orchestrate, control, or cause damage within our lifetime, we enable and allow those within our inner circle to have no loyalty, honourability, or solidarity, or as many say âWhat we accept, is what we think we deserve.â
Propagating long term wars to continue destruction and chaos, only leads to internal destruction of self and your environment at large. One cannot build or grow with a destructive deceptive mindset. The two greatest vices that we encounter are greed and jealousy, for greed cannot be satiated and jealousy leads to envy, which covets anotherâs blessings or what one has earned over years of dedication or hard work, that another seeks to gain for their own selfish needs or wants. When we do not invest in the future, which is an integral component for our survival, we begin to see the erosion of hope or constructive planning.
Barriers based on circumstances enable an unbalanced system, and we must be mindful that to have an enriched society it starts with charity at home, helping others in their time of need at the basic levels, to encourage cooperation, support, and help for those in need. Pay careful attention to what or who you compare your life to, as there is a silent danger in comparison, as many withhold the truth out of the need of obtaining bella figura where everything seems wonderful at its core, however, in essence it is in disarray or a projection of a distorted lie. Those that create distorted façades, and are not present in your time of need, demonstrates their declaration of disloyalty, lack of integrity, and internal judgment. Many often live within the realm of these projected façades, to conceal their inner truth, or under the disguise of veiling or false humbleness. To give back to the society, you must be one with society, not just appearing when it is convenient for your social image. Those who lack concern for others or who have a lack of awareness of social conditions are remaining willfuly ignorant to the truth, as it does not serve their needs, because their needs are being met therefore, it leads to a lack of consideration for others.
Active awareness to sensitive local and global conditions and concerns means, being actively engaged in social issues, upholding the law, protecting and respecting the rights of others, and acknowledging and not remaining oblivious or ignorant for what is needed in terms of change. When one honours, respects, recognizes and acknowledging the inherent strengths in others, they then see others as equal rather than subject to their demands. Our lives are interwoven, and when we meet individuals that contribute beyond the shallow needs of want and greed, we then errode the cycle of false humbleness. If one maintains an attitude of being above all, and adopting a low estimation of worth and value for others that can provide nothing for them, then we enter into the realm of the root of imposed powerlessness and sacrifice. Human beings are not meant to be controlled, manipulated, used, put in their place, or put down by those who engage in pridefulness in disguise of being for the people. To be one with the people, you have to be with the people, understanding their tribulations, concerns, struggles, sorrows, and contributions.
Should we have to endure a life of penance, suffering, and sorrow? Or do we choose to confront the distorted archetypes of what surrounded us, that enabled us to recognize the situation, for what it was?. Our endurance is not permission to merely live, we must come to a place of awakening and begin to exist.
When we dismantle the illusions, paradoxâs, paradigms, distortions, patterns, beliefs, stories, and cycles, we then enable ourselves to be open to a state of vulnerability to examine our core roots and what we have enabled, allowed, permitted or accepted within our realm of comfort. You have the power and choice to regain control of your life, realign to new standards, constructively and objectively observe your environments and sacred surroundings, and reignite the light within. The light you carry can not be separated, removed, or detached, as it is a part of you, and it enables us to remove ourselves from our shadow selves that have castrated, eclipsed, and destabilized us at a period of time or caused distortions to our perspectives or divine lens. What you enable, permit, or allow, ultimately persists however, it marginalizes your efforts, to become autonomous, empowered, or sovereign. One has to weigh the risk. Never enable another to cause destruction to your good nature. Persist in blessing others, remaining mindful, and lead from the highest moral principles of character. What has irrevocably scarred your essence of being cannot extinguish the desire to persevere or rob you of your future blessings, your internal grace, or your endless hope.
The cruel intentions of anotherâs intentional will to cause you harm is a projection of their willful intention to evoke their internal pain on another to bring them down to their level. When one makes the conscious decision to not be chained to the past, to distance yourself from the entanglement of cyclical karmic cycles that is not yours to endure, you regain control within your life by not giving your power and attention to situations, places, and events that do not serve your highest and greatest good. With love and grace, protect your inner peace, focus on rebuilding your stability, remain true to your good kind hearted nature, and recognize that rejection is divine intervention. A key principle to obtain is this, where failure is imminent, our defence mechanism is activated, to enable our lens to be unaltered and unfiltered to see and reveal the truth. You have to accept the truth for what it is, and not what you wish it to be. Within life, when we place high importance on our education and awareness, we discern, decipher, and discipline ourselves to learn from the extracted lessons we obtained from our lived experience. Every decision we partake in has a consequence therefore, be mindful and evoke clarity to what you give your power, focus, and energy to, for our decisions cannot be reversed and our imparted judgements and imprints create and foster our karma for generations to come.
Trauma enables one to heal generational wounds, deep cosmic core roots, recognize the internal pain and destruction within, grants space and time for extensive healing and recovery, and it inevitably masterfully educates and teaches one to express their deepest sorrows through an creative outlet such as writing or speaking to help the greater community overcome and help others along their sacred journey of ascension. Once we set into motion survivor mindset, become the true pillars and archetype of being a warrior of the light, we no longer allow our pain to take away our voice or enable others to speak for us, as we allow our raw emotions, feelings, and thoughts to collide to begin our metamorphosis. When we arrive at our catharsis, we emancipate and elevate ourselves from the burdens of what has weighed heavy on our hearts, by removing ourselves from outdated karmic cycles to reimagine and metaphysically speaking release the shadows of what we buried deep within, or worn like a badge of honour. To return to our light, to illuminate and create room for what inevitably needs to change, we need to engage in deep reflection and remove all illusions.
Within our time of need and despair, there is always divine assistance and support to usher in new streams of thoughts, which shifts us out of our trauma mindset that may have confined us like prisoners. What desecrates you, is a powerful teacher of what you have to gain mastery in within this lifetime. With ease and grace, enable yourself to resolve and analyze what you have endured. Those that have experienced great suffering and transformations that stem through acute pain of lessons truly are the strongest souls with the greatest hearts, for they recognize true internal pain, fully appreciate life in its purest unaltered form, and strive to achieve equilibrium and balance to regain stability.
One has to confront their deepest wounds which has metastasized and caused internal destruction within. Our reactions are a symptoms and not the cause. Our catharsis can only emerge when we enable ourselves to become vulnerable, confront our weaknesses, and operate from a state of self acceptance with no judgment in sight. Our deepest reflections, recognitions, and awakenings occur when we cease to allow another to project their version of reality, as we detangle ourselves from their self imposed imparted karma which we have intertwined with ours unconsciously. Give yourself the permission to feel the process through. Feeling through the healing is difficult, as it is uncomfortable and painful. When we confront our fears and turn them into strengths, they no longer hold power over us, and it enables us to become a stronger version of ourself. Place into perspective in slow motion our anguish, regret, resentment, and guilt descending and dissipating. As we confront our old structures and archetypes of what we have adopted as truth, we break free from the shell of confinement of what we once were. Enabling the soul to engage in deep reflection, retribution, confront the reality of situation we face, we gain great clarity. Our trauma can encircle us into a narrow mindset spiritually speaking, and it is a brutal process, as we comprehend, accept, and recognize our internal truths, while recognizing what cannot be inevitably changed. With great clarity, give yourself the permission to love yourself again.
With strength, clarity, determination, and passion, enable yourself the ability to emancipate yourself. Remind yourself that you are not disposable, and through regulation and self reflection and introspective you will learn that you do not need to succumb or disintegration, or accept the inability of another to see your worth, value, or contributions to the world. Those that build their empires, foundations, and structures, on the sorrows, misery, and sacrifices of others, inevitably in time, recognize that the cost of stepping on those for self gratification, gain, or greed. Those that seek pleasure in others injustice often suffer the fate of true loss within this lifetime and karmically generations that unfold after their legacy. It is an inappropriate sinful measure to reach success in an unnatural state. Most importantly, do not relapse into old stagnated programs, patterns, stories, modes of being, or act from a place of despondence. Beyond the veils, assumptions, and distortions, focus on clarity, objective interpretations, and from a place of non judgement rise again. If one enables a situation or experience to dilapidate, desecrate your legacy, you become the victim of carnage of anotherâs projection, and it places you into a state of powerlessness.
Betrayal, misuse of power, absence, and abuse are the strongest indicators of a misaligned mind, and one should be mindful to not change their good nature and essence of being for the acts of betrayal by another, and always remain truthful, kind, and act with integrity in all aspects of your existence. You have the power to control how you respond to a situation. Our suffering, agony, and despair may temporarily displace us, however, within time, we recognize that we have the ability to heal, reclaim our inner power, and are no longer paralyzed by our burdens, regrets, resentments, shame, or past. With gratitude and appreciation, always remember, you are not hopeless, empty, our trauma and past does not define our future, and we are meant to transform. When we live within the present, we are able to fully embrace the raw emotions as a rite of passage for our transcendence. You are meant to evolve, and not remain stagnated within a cycle that has restricted your right to live. When we give power to what illuminates our healing process to catharsis, we then overcome our challenges, dysfunctional systems we have adopted, and are able to fully heal from a destructive state of being into a metamorphic state of being. At times, when the weight of the world becomes too burdensome to the point of where we reach our limit, it forces us to question internally what we have allowed, accepted, or permitted to come within our lives. As they say, we must always examine our environments as well, as we cannot heal within a place that has caused us to become ill. Do not just merely exist or endure, overcome, reclaim your power, value your sovereign state of being, and strive to reach a state of peace.
Do not give power to your past, and cease the ritual of self flagellation, for what has occurred cannot be changed, it can only be acknowledged, forgiven, or changed. When we blame ourselves for events past, and deny ourselves the ability to feel happiness, we become submerged in the depths of our despair and are at the mercy of the past, rather than remaining in presence which is where our true power lies. However, within time, we stop the hurt by acknowledging that the pain caused by others was a projection of their outdated beliefs, cycles, and patterns. The treatment of others is a mirror of their internal pain within. The actions of another do not determine our self worth, value, or our divine mission. Beyond our internal scars, place no judgment by removing yourself from an environment that caused you extensive pain, misery, or caused you to experience states of fragmentation. Our broken pieces are a reminder that the past is real, and when we confront the root of our discontent we then usher in a new level of personal growth, and we no longer accept ourselves to relapse or fall into the old confines of outdated strategies, as we enable more self recognition, mindfulness, and ascend from the educational lessons of extracted wisdom.
Questions To Reflect On:
What is a just and good life?
What is the importance of adaptation?
What is the importance of ingenuity?
What is the importance of forgiveness?
What is the importance of preparation?
What is the importance of commitment?
What is the importance of imagination, creativity, solutions, ingenuity, innovation?
What is the importance of non-judgment , and eradicating comparison?
What is the importance of focus?
What is the importance of peace?
What is the importance of survival?
What is the importance of safety?
What is the importance of friendship, family, unity, solidarity, loyalty, togetherness, love, support, cooperation, co-dependence?
What is the importance of being mutable like water?
Autonomy, sovereignty, freedom, love, and unity, are some of the most precious elements within our existence and they juxtapose powerlessness, sacrifice, scarcity and fear based mindset. Our true power is when we stand in love, unify collectively for the greater good, and have the freedom to choose, while remaining autonomous to self govern with the highest discernment of honouring and respecting what is just, moral, and good for all. Honour those that stand by you during your greatest tribulations and challenges. Evolutionary speaking, when we stand with a mindset that is fixed on education, learning, and becoming the best version of ourselves, we then separate ourselves from remaining in a state of infancy, where we take accountability and responsibility for our actions, and cease wanting support on the backs of others. To live fully is to stand in your own inherent divine strength. When we remain within the realm of being grateful, humble, appreciative, and aim for the betterment of society, then we remain in a state of unprecedented love. Never relish in the misery of others, and dismiss and disregard those that make you hyper, unfocused, and panicked for their self gain and control. Ultimately, we need to grow up, gain clarity, take initiative to foster a genuine greater community for generations to come. Intolerance, escalation of problems, never ending cycles of chaos and destruction project a mindset that we are constantly in war rather than appreciating what we have.
Creating support systems, a trusted network of individuals that are open to collaboration enhances our democracy, and furthers honourability and integrity. To evoke a strong legacy, one must be patient, understanding, willing to continuously educate and learn, be a mentor to others, and lead with compassion and endless empathy for others. Never waiver in your ability to provide stability, a home, a refuge for others in need. Encouraging a strong sense of morality and justice, strong work ethics, openness, and responsibility promote solidarity and relationships that will not disintegrate at will. Being mindful on what you place your time, energy, and focus will enable you to objectively evaluate what is depleting your attention from that matters. Never fake a future, engage in reckless actions, overreact, or marginalize another because power imbalances lead to exclusion and injustice. Respect all sentient life, and recognize that power is not gatekeeping, it is enabling others to thrive not just merely survive. What we often believe as truth is what we have accepted as knowledge from longterm programming, patterned behaviour, societal norms or beliefs.
Never give power to vindictive or petty energy for it destroys the essence of your kindness and purity. No situation will directly have the same result, so all must keep in mind to not be transfixed on a certain outcome and to ensure that you are acting impartially, objectively, and fair. No one is a lost cause, as we are all divinely strong in our own merit. We all deserve the right to exist and to remain in peace. When we sojourn out into the world, Gaia intrinsically teaches us inherent lessons for our evolutionary growth by giving us sequences or levels for advancement in knowledge, or to demonstrate what we must change internally. Suffering is a by-product of a cyclical system of predator vs. prey and once you stand in your truth, speak your truth, and act in your truth, you are no longer susceptible or subject to having to compromise or shield your light. Be the archetype of healthy relationships, impart your wisdom, give, stand for justice not intolerance, and be present and supportive in the lives of others that you cherish. Above all, stand in your power to foster positive change, for you are given this life to represent the love, light, and happiness that is needed to help another along their path.

Brown from your ask game please
đ¤ Brown: How did you decide to write (or why are you writing) a certain fanfic?
Answering a variation of this question. đ
One, I'm creatively curious. I ask myself questions about what would happen if X were different -- like if Hyde had gone to Kelso's uncle's ice shack with everyone else. Then I imagine the characters' interactions and plot arising from them. If it's interesting and creatively inspiring enough, I write the story. Those are the One Difference stories.
Two, I fall in creative love with a non-T7S show or movie and wonder how the T7S characters would react under these circumstances and stressors. How they might change the T7S characters. The plot is affected by the T7S characters and their choices, too, and changes accordingly -- and I try to put as much originally into the story as possible.
Reflections Through the Glass was my first T7S fanfic, and its plot hews closely to the source material (The 10th Kingdom) while still having plenty of original elements because the T7S characters' internal and relationship conflicts are different than the characters from the source material.
Then I wrote a sequel, Beneath a Shattered Sky, and the plot is original to me. The fantastical elements are original to me but exist in the world of the source material. I have a deep knowledge of fairy tales and folklore, so that helps. I also came up with completely original fantastical elements, one of which I'm particularly fond of. đ
Hyde's Long Way Home takes Groundhog Day's time loop concept and sticks Hyde into it. Except for the time loop and the why of it (Hyde must grow and change), the story is original to me. (I wrote this fic before time loop stories became a trope in fanfic, traditionally published novels, and derivative movies.)
The Understudy was inspired by a favorite film, but my story is so different that it would be difficult for someone to guess which movie inspired it (and I'm not telling đ).
Those Who Play with Demons is inspired by both a TV show and an unrelated movie. I combined the two and created something new.
Three, a story idea pops into my head. Either from the soup of my subconscious or interests I'm conscious of. Or both.
Jackie Stargazer is the epitome of the above -- although the original, scrapped idea (baaad) was inspired by several T7S fics by heatherlea75. The story I ultimately wrote (over the course of a decade) is all from me own noggin'. I'd seen too many T7S fics use trauma as angst porn. I chose to write a story that explores trauma and its aftermath realistically and -- crucially -- how the healing process works.
Writing is wonderful, but an author has a responsibility to do research (sometimes extensive) -- even on subjects the author has experience with (despite how much or how little). A mundane example from Hyde's Long Way Home: Hyde learns how to horseback ride. I had horseback riding lessons for many years in my childhood, both English and Western style. I still did research to make sure I got the details right in the story. ... And I have yet to correct the French in that story. 𤌠I have the corrections, but I haven't made them.
To end this detailed answer on a positive note, the character arcs, overall plot, and the plots feeding into the overall plot of Those Who Play with Demons bring me so much joy to write that I've stuck with the story for a decade; my excitement to continue writing it helped me through a major, traumatic life change I had no control over, during which I had to put the story aside; and the moment I regained enough muscle strength after almost losing my life last year (unrelated to the aforementioned life change), I continued to write the story until I finished the first draft.
Inspiration, passion, internal and external mental-emotional exploration, curiosity, joy, and a desire to give readers some kind of healing or peace or happiness is why I write the stories I write. âĽď¸

Who am I?
In the simplest yet complicated terms, we are human beings. Which means we exist in two dimensions, human and being. Human is the form assigned for this lifetime. Being is pure consciousness. A balanced and fruitful human life is a dance between these two dimensions.
Sole identification of form which is subject to the time dimension, keeps us trapped in our ego. We can be liberated from the same once we stop deriving worth from it. Detachment means nothing has power over you. Your worth is not on you, itâs in you, hence you no longer need to seek external validation to feel whole or worthy.
However, refraining from deriving worth or identifying with form doesnât mean we should stop caring for our body. Having a positive body image, maintaining it with the right kind of nutrients and proper exercise is very important as the body is the vessel that helps us to have a human experience on this plane, thus it must be treated with utmost love and care.
In essence, we are consciousness, derived from the source having a human experience detached yet connected to all living beings, enjoying pleasures of the world while learning lessons for this lifetime, with the realization and acceptance that everything in the outer world is subject to the inevitability of change.
Coming into this awakened state will help us to live a comfortable, peaceful and blissful life while attending to day-to-day human responsibilities without fear of loss or anxiety about a potential future. Middle path is awareness of our true nature and experiencing human life from an elevated state of mind.
The quality of our human life experience depends on our level of consciousness. Unawaken souls manifest a 3-Dimensional(3D) reality, trapped in their ego and karmic cycles of pain and suffering. Liberation from karmic cycles takes place when we choose to forgive and release all attachments to people, places, situations, events and the outer world in general and rise above to a 4-dimensional(4D) reality.Â
It is at this stage we are aware that we exist in two dimensions; form and formless, human and being. The art of balancing these two aspects by walking on a middle path is called Dharma. Souls are considered to be mature souls when they reach this level of consciousness as they are now aware of the form that is human, and formless that is consciousness. In this level of consciousness thoughts are in a space of awareness and presence of awareness transforms thoughts to consciousness that encourages us to take inspired actions in a manner prescribed by Dharma.

I just.
Okay, I am going to rant a bit, and this is not going to be kind to pagans. Not deliberately unkind, I just have issues with the concept of an eternal runic tradition to be rediscovered.
I had the good fortune recently to be on the receiving end of an impromptu belly dancing lesson. Some of the first words out of the teacher's mouth were, "This is at least two generations removed from source culture," meaning that it has inherently lost meaning and been reinterpreted.
There is no continuous source culture for Norse paganism. We're about fifty generations removed from source culture.
But, I say to myself, let us be realistic here. You believe in math as something that can be discovered independently. You believe in capoeira as something that can be discovered independently. Why not runic magic?
Because runes are, inherently, scratches on rock. Or marks on paper, whatever. They have the meaning we assign to them. There isn't any electricity running in them, there is no special meaning to them. They're neat. They're inherently interchangeable with any other mark, or replaceable, especially in a society that usually writes on paper rather than carving in stone.
(Side note, the way that the medium a society writes in shapes the shape of the letters is very cool.)
It's like the thing about water having memory. Very simple experiment: write a word on paper, attach it to a container of water, freeze it, and look at the crystals. Supposedly if you write a kind word like 'kiss' or 'light' the crystals have a much more even pattern than if you write a mean word like 'Satan' or 'maim'.
Does water have a language? Of course not, water is universal, water is for everyone, water is what it is wherever it is.
So what happens if you write 'hell' on a piece of paper attached to a container of water? Obviously it has bad connotations and the water freezes in an amorphous 'bad' shape, right?
Except that 'hell' means 'bright' in German. So does German water freeze differently than English water? Obviously not.
So it does not matter what the runic shapes are. We do not know what they meant to the source culture, four dozen generations later. If you want to assign meaning to it, and use this to in some way have your personal intentions interact with the intentions of the universe, that's fine, that's a way that humans interact with the universe.
But there is no eternal truth of the runes, they are just shapes. If we did not have any record of Futhark, would we recreate those shapes? Sure! Probably! They're easy to carve in stiff mediums! Would those shapes inherently make sounds, or have associations with gifts or fire or Mercury's position in the sky? Definitely not! I could assign ehwaz to mean the first partial derivative, that is 100% something I would have done when I was studying calculus. It's a useful simple shape. It does not contain inherent meaning.
Math, depending on your choice of axioms, does have an inherent, discoverable quality to it. There is a concept of a fundamental unit, a 1, that I cannot conceive a reasoning species doing without. (If you can, writers, it would make a fantastic alien species.) Once you have 1, 1+1 is not far behind, and suddenly you have positive integers. Things escalate from there.
Capoeira, given the existence of humans and monkeys, does have an inherent, discoverable quality to it. This is a farther leap; capoeira has a lot of weird, non-intuitive motions to it. But a primate is going to learn to run and leap and even turn backwards over itself. This sort of play is going to evolve into some form of gymnastics, and in imitation of itself and other primates, both martial arts and dance are inevitable. It's surprising to me that there aren't more forms that combine the two. I'm not saying capoeira is inevitable, but something akin to it is.
Runes do not have an inherent, discoverable quality. They are scratches. They are symbols that can mean anything. The things they represent may have inherent, discoverable qualities. The things they are meant to do may have inherent, discoverable qualities. There is not anything inherently linking the concept of a certain set of scratches and a certain set of ideas.
I should write my stepsister a letter in futhark, I haven't done that in ages.

My thoughts are that I need to sit back and soak all this in. Ten times over. I knew there was a reason I liked Le Guin. Anyway, that's beside the point: I think now, perhaps more than ever, it is a crucial time to be reconsidering the lenses we place on history, fiction, and general media. How we even look at everyday life. I agree with Le Guin that Homer tends to take a very "middle ground" almost approach to telling The Iliad, which I like, and I think serves well in the telling of any story.
At the end of the day, I think it's important that an author presents a problem or a theme - and does not quite comment on it. They allow the audience to draw their own conclusions. From that principle alone, as Le Guin points out, there is a lesson in objectiveness and rejecting the creation of limiting dichotomies of Good vs Evil, Deserving vs Undeserving. It makes you question whether your idea of what's right... is what's right. Which is fascinating. And something I think people could possibly stand to do more of. We should critically evaluate moral ideas - what even is moral, why, okay but why do we think that, all right now so why are morals even important? Are there good or bad morals or just morals? (Spoiler: just morals)
Because morals are, by definition, either a lesson that can be derived from a story or experience, or standards of behaviour; principles of right and wrong. But that's the thing, isn't it? There can be a dozen views on what is right and what is wrong, but they're all principles - morals - that can be held by someone. People often confuse morals with ethics, making the mistake of believing someone's morals to coincide with ethics, or that ethics perfectly reflect morals. Ethics are their own slippery slope, because they do source from morals, but on a broader scale and blah blah blah (cue one of my university professors prattling on about theories of ethics...) The moral of the story I'm essentially getting at is: there's even different kinds of ethics. Many of these philosophical concepts have come from Greek scholars (legendary and otherwise).
I cannot say for certain whether this objective approach to storytelling on themes as complex as war where there are sides but no sides are taken is necessarily "a Greek thing", since I did not grow up in Greek schools. But! I do know that Greeks value the sacred Middle. I have been taught this since I was a child. You never choose the lowest, smallest, least or the highest, biggest, most, but whatever sits in the middle, because that will have the best balance.
Homer strikes balance between Greece and Troy by presenting you with two sides of a war: both fighting for their own reasons, neither Good nor Bad, because the moment you take a side, you are falling prey to evaluating things on your personal moral basis and not the broader picture of what is simply war. War never changes. As outlined above, Homer illustrates the way war is wasteful and cruel in its entirety. I believe it is often the case that you can only tell a truly resounding tragedy when you consider all sides. Better yet, when you tell all sides objectively. Because it is up to the audience then to take this narrative's detachment to the tragedy unfolding and feel, not be guided into what to feel and by what degree.
The human mind and capacity for empathy is incredible. It is a waste to narrow that potential into a set path of what is Good and what is Bad. Who is the right side and who is the wrong side. All sides in a war hurt. The concept of war hurts. That is the nature of it and of tragedy.
"I think Homer outwits most writers who have written on the War [fantasy archetype], by not taking sides.
The Trojan war is not and you cannot make it be the War of Good vs. Evil. Itâs just a war, a wasteful, useless, needless, stupid, protracted, cruel mess full of individual acts of courage, cowardice, nobility, betrayal, limb-hacking-off, and disembowelment. Homer was a Greek and might have been partial to the Greek side, but he had a sense of justice or balance that seems characteristically Greek â maybe his people learned a good deal of it from him? His impartiality is far from dispassionate; the story is a torrent of passionate actions, generous, despicable, magnificent, trivial. But it is unprejudiced. It isnât Satan vs. Angels. It isnât Holy Warriors vs. Infidels. It isnât hobbits vs. orcs. Itâs just people vs. people.
Of course you can take sides, and almost everybody does. I try not to, but itâs no use; I just like the Trojans better than the Greeks. But Homer truly doesnât take sides, and so he permits the story to be tragic. By tragedy, mind and soul are grieved, enlarged, and exalted.
Whether war itself can rise to tragedy, can enlarge and exalt the soul, I leave to those who have been more immediately part of a war than I have. I think some believe that it can, and might say that the opportunity for heroism and tragedy justifies war. I donât know; all I know is what a poem about a war can do. In any case, war is something human beings do and show no signs of stopping doing, and so it may be less important to condemn it or to justify it than to be able to perceive it as tragic.
But once you take sides, you have lost that ability.
Is it our dominant religion that makes us want war to be between the good guys and the bad guys?
In the War of Good vs. Evil there can be divine or supernal justice but not human tragedy. It is by definition, technically, comic (as in The Divine Comedy): the good guys win. It has a happy ending. If the bad guys beat the good guys, unhappy ending, thatâs mere reversal, flip side of the same coin. The author is not impartial. Dystopia is not tragedy.
Milton, a Christian, had to take sides, and couldnât avoid comedy. He could approach tragedy only by making Evil, in the person of Lucifer, grand, heroic, and even sympathetic â which is faking it. He faked it very well.
Maybe itâs not only Christian habits of thought but the difficulty we all have in growing up that makes us insist justice must favor the good.
After all, 'Let the best man win' doesnât mean the good man will win. It means, 'This will be a fair fight, no prejudice, no interference â so the best fighter will win it.' If the treacherous bully fairly defeats the nice guy, the treacherous bully is declared champion. This is justice. But itâs the kind of justice that children canât bear. They rage against it. Itâs not fair!
But if children never learn to bear it, they canât go on to learn that a victory or a defeat in battle, or in any competition other than a purely moral one (whatever that might be), has nothing to do with who is morally better.
Might does not make right â right?
Therefore right does not make might. Right?
But we want it to. 'My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure.'
If we insist that in the real world the ultimate victor must be the good guy, weâve sacrificed right to might. (Thatâs what History does after most wars, when it applauds the victors for their superior virtue as well as their superior firepower.) If we falsify the terms of the competition, handicapping it, so that the good guys may lose the battle but always win the war, weâve left the real world, weâre in fantasy land â wishful thinking country.
Homer didnât do wishful thinking.
Homerâs Achilles is a disobedient officer, a sulky, self-pitying teenager who gets his nose out of joint and wonât fight for his own side. A sign that Achilles might grow up someday, if given time, is his love for his friend Patroclus. But his big snit is over a girl he was given to rape but has to give back to his superior officer, which to me rather dims the love story. To me Achilles is not a good guy. But he is a good warrior, a great fighter â even better than the Trojan prime warrior, Hector. Hector is a good guy on any terms â kind husband, kind father, responsible on all counts â a mensch. But right does not make might. Achilles kills him.
The famous Helen plays a quite small part in The Iliad. Because I know that sheâll come through the whole war with not a hair in her blond blow-dry out of place, I see her as opportunistic, immoral, emotionally about as deep as a cookie sheet. But if I believed that the good guys win, that the reward goes to the virtuous, Iâd have to see her as an innocent beauty wronged by Fate and saved by the Greeks.
And people do see her that way. Homer lets us each make our own Helen; and so she is immortal.
I donât know if such nobility of mind (in the sense of the impartial 'noble' gases) is possible to a modern writer of fantasy. Since we have worked so hard to separate History from Fiction, our fantasies are dire warnings, or mere nightmares, or else they are wish fulfillments."
- Ursula K. Le Guin, from No Time to Spare, 2013.

How to Introduce Tretinoin into Your Skincare Routine: A Step-by-Step Guide for Beginners and Beyond
Hey, skincare lovers! If you've been hearing all the hype about tretinoin and wondering how to weave it into your daily routine without turning your face into a flaky mess, you're in the right place. I've been down this road myselfâstarting with that initial excitement, followed by a bit of trial and error, and finally landing on smoother, glowier skin. Tretinoin, that powerhouse retinoid derived from vitamin A, isn't just for acne; it's a game-changer for anti-aging, texture improvement, and overall skin health. But introducing it properly is key to avoiding irritation and reaping the rewards. In this comprehensive guide, we'll walk through everything from the basics to advanced tips, using a mix of straightforward explanations, step-by-step lists, handy tables, and even some personal anecdotes to make it feel like we're chatting over coffee. Whether you're a total newbie or tweaking an existing routine, let's get your skin on track.
By the end, you'll have a clear plan tailored to your needs. And if you're looking for reliable sources to grab your tretinoin cream, we've got you covered with options that fit various strengths and formulations.
Understanding Tretinoin: The Basics Before You Dive In
Before we jump into routines, let's break down what tretinoin actually is. Imagine your skin as a busy factoryâtretinoin is like the efficiency expert who speeds up production lines, clears out the clutter, and boosts output. It's a topical prescription retinoid that accelerates cell turnover, meaning it helps shed dead skin cells faster and encourages new ones to form. This process unclogs pores, reduces fine lines, fades dark spots, and improves texture. But unlike over-the-counter retinol, tretinoin is stronger, so it demands respect.
From my own experience, I started using it in my late 20s after noticing some sun damage from beach days. At first, I was cluelessâslathered it on like lotion and woke up with a red, peeling face. Lesson learned: education first. Tretinoin comes in creams, gels, and microencapsulated forms, each suited to different skin types. Creams are great for dry skin, while gels work for oily folks. Strengths range from 0.025% (gentle starter) to 0.1% (for the pros).
Why introduce it? Well, consistent use can lead to transformative results. Think clearer pores, fewer breakouts, and that coveted "glass skin" look. But it's not instantâexpect 3-6 months for peak benefits. Science backs this up with observations of collagen boosts and reduced photoaging, but remember, it's prescription-only in many places, so chat with a dermatologist first.
To explore more about the different types available, check out our selection of tretinoin formulations designed for seamless integration into any routine.
Why Timing and Patience Matter
Introducing tretinoin isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. Your skin needs time to "retinoid-ize," a phase where it might purge (bring hidden blemishes to the surface) or get irritated. This is normalâit's your skin adjusting to the accelerated turnover. I remember my purge lasting about a month; pimples popped up like uninvited guests, but then... clarity. Patience pays off.
Key tip: Start during cooler months when sun exposure is lower, as tretinoin heightens UV sensitivity. Always pair with SPFânon-negotiable!
Step-by-Step: Building Your Tretinoin Routine
Let's get practical with a numbered guide to ease you in. This structure is like following a recipeâmiss a step, and things might not turn out right.
Consult a Professional: Before anything, get a prescription. Your derm will assess your skin type, concerns (acne, aging, etc.), and recommend a strength. Don't DIY this; it's not worth the risk.
Patch Test: Apply a tiny amount to your inner arm for 24-48 hours. No reaction? Proceed.
Start Low and Slow: Begin with 0.025% every other night. Use a pea-sized amountâtoo much leads to irritation.
Prep Your Skin: Cleanse with a gentle, pH-balanced wash. Pat dry and wait 20-30 minutes. This "buffer" reduces stinging.
Apply Strategically: Dot on forehead, cheeks, chin, then spread thinly. Avoid eyes, lips, and nostrils.
Moisturize Immediately: Layer a fragrance-free moisturizer over top to lock in hydration. Ceramide-rich ones are gold.
Morning Follow-Up: Rinse off any residue, apply antioxidant serum (like vitamin C), moisturize, and slather on SPF 50+.
Monitor and Adjust: If irritation hits, drop to every third night. Build up gradually over weeks.
Incorporate Actives Wisely: Once tolerated, add hyaluronic acid or niacinamide. Avoid mixing with AHAs/BHAs initially.
Track Progress: Take weekly photos. Adjust based on how your skin responds.
This step-by-step approach helped me avoid major mishaps. For nights when your skin feels extra sensitive, skip tretinoin and opt for recovery mode with a soothing mask.
If you're unsure about strengths, our guide on choosing tretinoin strength breaks it down with expert insights.
Sample Routines in Table Format
To visualize, here's a table comparing beginner vs. advanced routines. I've formatted it like a simple spreadsheet for clarity.Time of DayBeginner Routine (Weeks 1-4)Advanced Routine (After 2 Months)MorningGentle cleanse Antioxidant serum Moisturizer SPF 50+Gentle cleanse Vitamin C serum Hyaluronic acid Moisturizer SPF 50+EveningGentle cleanse Wait 20 min Pea-sized tretinoin (every other night) MoisturizerGentle cleanse Wait 20 min Tretinoin (nightly) Niacinamide serum Moisturizer Optional: Eye creamFrequency3-4 times/weekDaily, with buffer days if neededKey TipFocus on hydrationLayer actives for boosted results
This table is my go-to when advising friendsâit's straightforward and customizable.
Tailoring for Different Skin Types
Not all skin is the same, so let's customize. For dry skin, choose cream-based tretinoin and layer with occlusives like squalane. I have combo skin, so I mix gel on oily zones and cream elsewhere.
Oily/Acne-Prone: Gel formulas absorb fast. Pair with mattifying moisturizers to control shine.
Sensitive: Microencapsulated versions release slowly, reducing irritation. Use every third night.
Mature Skin: Higher strengths for anti-aging, combined with peptides for firmness.
Combination: Zone-treatâtretinoin on T-zone, lighter elsewhere.
Personal story: My sister has sensitive skin and quit tretinoin twice before finding a buffered routine. Now, she's hooked.
For products suited to sensitive skin, browse our sensitive skin tretinoin options.
Common Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
Even pros slip up. Here's a bulleted list of pitfalls, formatted like quick notes:
Over-Application: More isn't better. Stick to pea-sized; excess causes peeling.
Skipping Moisturizer: Tretinoin dries skinâalways follow with hydration.
Sun Neglect: No SPF? Hello, burns and spots. Make it a habit.
Mixing Actives Too Soon: AHAs + tretinoin = irritation city. Wait 4-6 weeks.
Inconsistency: Spotty use delays results. Commit to the schedule.
Ignoring Purge: It's temporaryâdon't stop; power through with soothing products.
I once mixed it with glycolic acid too earlyâbig mistake. Skin rebelled for weeks!
Advanced Tips and Combinations
Once you're acclimated, level up. Use sandwich method: Moisturize first, then tretinoin, then moisturize again. For anti-aging, add retinol alternatives on off-nights.
Combinations:
With niacinamide: Calms redness.
Hyaluronic acid: Boosts hydration.
Peptides: Enhances collagen.
From experience, this layering turned my routine from basic to boss-level.
For combo ideas, see our tretinoin combination guides.
