Sleuth hated too admit it but that Cycloptic Red Kaiju was making them a better fighter…
After there debut fight on a beach at Sagami Bay, they just seemed too keep on crossing paths with each other.
And This Kaiju was something else entirely
They could speak and think for themselves, there strength and combat ability was absolutely fantastic. It was so good that Sleuth was sure that only a high grade Champion or higher could face off against this Kaiju which was a definitely a amazing achievement.
After there first fight there second fight followed shortly after with Sleuth Biomerged into MegaKabuterimon. This fight was definitely as tough as the first one, though the Red Kaiju did throw Sleuth for a loop when they called them a welp again and said that they were the same one they met on the beach.
That…was concerning
How did they tell they were a kid and that they were the same?
Sleuth and the Digimon would not get answers as they were busy fighting and the fight got pretty fierce with both opponent trading harsh blows. Eventually the fight with the Red Kaiju ( Which everyone started calling Red) ended with both having too run away when the Defense Force neared.
When they got back home and thought over that battle they realized something. They only had the basics of combat. Each time Sleuth fought when Biomerged it was a combination of there Digimon Partner and there knowledge of fighting that was used when ever they battled. It was more than enough too deal with the Kaiju they faced off with so far but against Red it lacked a lot of the needed skill and power too be more helpful in combat.
That wouldn't do at all. Sleuth couldn't let there Digimon shoulder the burden of battle alone. Sleuth had too get better not for themselves but for there friends.
And soon Sleuth started training and learning at the Digital Village's Dojo.
Fisticuffs were up first and there was a lot too cover. Sleuth knew that almost every form could get a massive boost if they learned proper combat techniques and so there journey began too master martial moves.
Sleuth learned different maneuvers and attacks from various martial schools with focus being on Art forms that used there entire body. From Kung-Fu all the way too Judo they learned various moves. The goal wasn't mastery of the entire art it was mastery over certain moves from each art too give a wider move pool.
And Sleuth definitely got more moves in there arsenal during the training.
Even The Burning Hammer! A dangerous wrestling move that was created by a Japanese Wrestler and only used about 7 Times in his career.
Though Sleuth's foe was not fragile that was for sure*
*CRACK*
GrapLeomon gritted his teeth as they heard the sickening crack of Red's neck. Another encounter with Red had led too this brawl too happen and thankfully it happened after Sleuth had gotten pretty far into there Martial training.
And the training was already showing major advances in Sleuth's strength.
Sleuth had initiated a Burning Hammer and the move was effective as it briefly immobilized Red most likely due too the broken neck. A brutal move but when Red got back up and started reattaching his head Sleuth knew that there opponent was anything but fragile.
After Martial Training Sleuth moved onto Artillery training
Sleuth could feel their eyesight sharpen and there draw become lightning fast. And Sleuth thought Beezlemon's speed with there shot guns couldn't get any better but with there aim and sheer precision excelling Sleuth knew that the training had given them a massive boost.
*BAM, BAM, BOOM*
Red's outer armor broke and Beezlemon gave the Kaiju little time too recover and aimed for open points in Red's armor.
Sword Techniques came after artillery training
Precise sword slashes. Each slash should be controlled and powerful with each strike you dish out
*SLASH*
Speed was paramount. Keep the momentum in your favor
*SLASH*
Control your breathing and focus. Take advantage of any opening too keep your opponent on there toes
*SLASH*
Red's Arm went flying after a precise strike from Zephagamon's blades
Yup….
Sleuth really was getting better at fighting aren't they…
What do you think?
No. 10 just casually accepts the Red nickname after multiple times. Even moreso as it became clear the whelp was getting stronger with each confrontation. Yet there's this hidden feeling between them that both were holding back.
Something which becomes clear when Sleuth brings out X-Evolution in the form of OmniShoutmon X to counter Red's larger true form. A very destructive battle ensues leaving the Defense Force confused once again as both retreat before the DF arrives. What kind of mystery kaiju they were dealing with that had the second highest fortitude to date.
Or the true extent to Sleuth's power as whatever they did overloaded all nearby servers with data to the point they crashed. This incident however revealed the last piece the Defense Force needed to begin their capture operation. Sleuth requires an internet connection in order to use that strange Connection Jump ability.
It was time to set an ambush and this time Vice Captain Soshiro would lead the charge.

I love how this evolution line i got last night in World NO perfectly capsulates the madness of digivolution and the random direction it can go into.
Jyarimon -> Gigimon; the default little baby dragon line
-> Solarmon; dragon is gone, it has become a machine now
-> Redveggiemon; Machine stopped working so it became an angry plant instead
-> Wargrowlmon (orange); industrial revolution is back, it is also a dragon again. Which makes sense from gigimon but redveggiemon being there is such a roundabout way of getting where you started.
Only thing that is missing is a human form which might be the ultimate / mega but wargrowlmon will definitely die before it evolves again. I dont know if it has a human evolution in this game but if it became something like lillithmon (just a hot woman) it would be perfect)

Spiritualist
Despite the obscurity, Digimon Frontier introduced a very interesting mechanic into the series: Spirit Evolution. Humans being able to become Digimon through the usage of artifacts. Something that's sadly never fully explored again.
No, I ain't counting Data Squad since that's more scientific than mystical. Then Digimon Next Order came out and one particular set of items got my attention: Digivolution Crystals. If you don't know, these are items that digivolve your partners.
Each crystal correlates to one Digimon whose a Champion stage or higher. What makes it more interesting is the options don't have to be related to your partners' respective lines. Then the idea hit me. A new class for humans whose lives become intertwined with the Digital World: Spiritualist.
Similar to the Digimon Frontier protagonists, they use items from the Digital World to Spirit Digivolve. However Spiritualist aren't restricted to the Warrior Spirits. They can use Armor Digieggs and other Digivolution items to become any possible species.
Spiritualists do need a strong spirit in order to properly control their Digimon form or risk losing themselves. Mental training and spiritual exercises are very common practices amongst this class. A Digimon can lend their strength to make transformations of their family easier to control. Ex: Agumon improves success with the Dragon Family.
Highly skilled Spiritualists can transform into certain Digimon without usage of an item. This requires complete understanding and mastery over said form. Some individuals can even use one Digivolution item to access an entire line if skilled enough.
Strangely, most Spiritualists don't take on a Digimon partner despite the benefits they provide. This has led to rumors and controversy involving the class amongst others. 'Do they believe Digimon are replaceable?' Something that only began to increase when new Spiritualists have a high chance of going on a rampage. Every class chosen by humans tends to have their issues or controversies.
If anyone wants to try their hand at this then go ahead! I'm quite curious at what people can come up with if given a nice push.

Takuto x reader
Welcome back
_____________________
Its been some time since Takuto went missing, 4 and half a months to be exact but you, as his s/o.. couldnt ever give up on him, you loved him to deeply to ever let him go.
You were crying in his bed, his and your father were also devastated but all of them knew they were a bit better then your mothers.. and well you, both mothers tried to keep you around as family and spend more time over the disapperance of Takuto as they all knew that you and Takuto were deeply connected both in relational sense and contact sense, as the first person he would return, would always be you and you all knew it. So Takutos parents let you be, in his room as you cried, waiting for your dear lover to return.
But then suddenly.. his Digivice began to glow... and then he appeared.... you just looked at him completly shocked, thinking whats just happend, one day he disappears and doesnt appear for 4 and half a month, the next he just appears out of thin air. But the moment you realised who it was, you just tackled him to the ground, hugging him asking him where he was all that time ago and why he didnt contact no one.
He just stared at you and asked how long was it, you said that it had taken 4 and half a month for him to reappear, you asked him,
"Where were you? Didnt you think we would miss you or something?
And then you screamed at him,
"Dont just leave without telling us anything at all!"
You clang to him, and he did feel sorry for it, but after a couple of minutes you,... he finally talked for the first to you, since a long time. He then explained to you about the situtation he was in, you carefully heard everything,he said and you then said to him that all was fine, he just had to explain it to his parents to as they also were worried beyond explanation.
But finally the very thing you wanted to say to him, finally could be said.
"Welcome back, love."
He just smilled at you and begin to kiss you cheek, and now ran down the stairs to his parents, they were so happy but began questioning him and saying some rules, stuff and whatever parents love to say when their kid is missing. Well, at the end of the day, everything was fine and you hope that it would stay like that for the time to come.
_____________________
Hay hay hay, this took some time, but also doneeee, but hey I love the game. This game gives me so much nostlagic, back in 2016 I used to watch it as a kid as people played it. Thats 8 years now, I was 9 back then, so its a childhood dream come true finally being able to enjoy the characters as already as a kid, I loved their designs.
But now its over from me my dear readers, God bless and goodbye.

I am gonna miss Habu
I realized that Time Stranger will be the last Digimon Game, that Habu worked on. Technically he already left that project, though I hope there will still be enough of his vision in that game. Because oh boy, Habu sure did revolutionize Digimon games.
A couple of weeks back I had a talk with someone, who loved Digimon as a kid and teen, but kinda had fallen out of the fandom after that. And they went: "Yeah, I mean, Digimon had always had those great anime, but Pokémon always beat them out in terms of game, didn't they?" And I was like: "Oh, that was before Habu came around."
I mean, I don't want to start a Pokémon vs Digimon debate, but I generally felt that the last two generations of Pokémon really were not as fun as those before. Purple and Scarlet were alright, but man, I loathed Sword and Shield. Meanwhile Digimon during those last 15 years put out banger after banger.
Admittedly, sure. A lot of folks kinda missed out on Digimon Story: Lost Evolution, as it never came out in the west. And technically Habu was only assistent producer on that one. But it already shared one important thing with the games producers under Habu: Clear characters, who were defined as who they were. A lot more story. Especially a story with some twists and turns.
(I also found that there is apparently by now an English fan translation of Lost Evolution. I guess I am going to try that out at some point, eh?)
Same kinda goes with the Re:Digitize games. Those did never see a release in the west. Though they even clearer show of course the stuff that should become Habu's hallmarks. Most notably the quite sexy Yasuda Suzuhito character design. And while I am usually quite critical of the sexualization of female characters... You know what? These characters are still really well written, so who cares if they are sexy? I am fine with sexy characters.
And Re:Digitize really was a good game. A fun game. It is a pity, that it never got released in English - and that the manga also got kinda cancelled and never finished. :( Because I never had a modded 3DS I never got to play the Decode version of the game, which still makes me kinda sad. (Why the hell was the 3DS region locked? Literally the only Nintendo console to ever do this. It is so lame.)
And then of course he was also the helm of Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory. I cannot impart on you how big of a hit Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth has been. Digimon is not a big selling video game franchise. This is a franchise that historically celebrated if they managed to sell more than 150 000 units of a game. And Cyber Sleuth? Cyber Sleuth sold ten times that much. 1.5 million units. Yes, sure, compared with western AAA games, this would be seen as not enough to break even. But Digimon is not a AAA franchise, and usually is not anywhere near as expensive in terms of the game budget. We do not know exaclty how high the budget for Cyber Sleuth was, but it was probably not that much, given that they recycled the Digimon models from other games and kept the backgrounds fairly limited.
There is also the very notable paradime shift in both of the Cyber Sleuth games, in that they very clearly were pandering to an older audience. These were first Digimon Games to not get a child-friendly raiting (instead ending with a teen rating). But yeah, again: I cannot stretch enough, how darn successful those two games were.
Same went with the following game. Digimon World Next Order. This kinda was in the same vein as Re:Digitize once more. Meaning: Basically a somewhat direct sequel to the original Digimon World game. (I will openly admit though, that I never finished this - based on getting stuck in the Japanese version, and so far never buying the english language version.) And this game, too, sold pretty darn well due to the international release. Not Cyber Sleuth well, but still: More than a million copies shipped. That is pretty darn good in terms of Digimon Games.
Of course, Survive was not quite as big - but it was still a lot bigger than pretty much any Digimon game before Cyber Sleuth. And be it just because it got directly an international release. As someone who has been in this fandom since 2000, I really cannot explain how darn magical it has felt to get the game on the same day as the Japanese people. I played most of the Digimon games in the Japanese versions. Heck, Cyber Sleuth I preordered from Japan when it came out. (Might I note, that that game came out for the Playstation Vita? A console that was basically a still birth?!) And then Survive really just got this international release all at once.
And while it never sold quite as much as Cyber Sleuth it also did not sell badly. (In December 2022 they announced they had sold 500k - so maybe by now we have reached 600k copies.) And that for a game that was completely different from pretty much any other Digimon Game before and after.
I am not sure why Habu dropped out of the producer position since. Like, as it his decision, or was it a Bandai decision? Looking at game development right now, I would not be surprised if the logic behind it was something like: "OMG, a Digimon Game made money! Now all Digimon games will make a lot of money!" ... ... ... "This game did not make as much money! Habu, you are at fault!"
But given how long Time Stranger has been in development, there could also have been some development struggles that lead to Habu dropping out of the project. I am not sure. I would love to know though. :/
But yeah, man. Habu really... made Digimon games from something that was very unreliable in terms of quality into a really fun game series. And I hope that whoever takes over after him, will create other good Digimon games. Please?!

I finished the main story of Decode some time ago, it was a bit underwhelming because I think I over-trained a bit too much so the character's Digimon just destroyed everything lol. Also did the X-Antibody story, and now just need to finish the last one, but every time I've picked up the game now, the only thing I do is my true late/endgame content - fishing
#I still need to finish the demon lord plotline or w/e#but for now I only fish when I play#it's the same in Next Order and I haven't even finished that one#I'm just fishing#god please give us a new World game eventually so I can do the same LOL#Re: Digitize Decode#digimon world#text post
