Don’t make yourself smaller for people. Yes, it can be hard to find people to be in relationships with, especially for queer people, but somebody will love you again. Somebody will love you exactly how you want to be loved. There are so many people in the world who will treat you right. It’s okay to not know them yet. It’s okay to be single. Don’t settle for less. Seek out positive relationships, don’t stay in toxic ones.

Having high standards isn't being picky. It's being self-aware.

It means you've done the work. You know your worth. You’ve cried through lessons, grown through pain, and now you’ve built a filter that says: “I no longer accept the bare minimum dressed up as love, effort, or respect.”

High standards are your shield. They block the breadcrumbing, the emotionally unavailable, the inconsistent, the chaotic, the low-effort, the “almost”s.

Because when you set the bar higher, only those willing to rise to meet you get access to your energy, your heart, your world.

Yes—love is about acceptance, but not at the cost of your peace. Not when someone weaponizes "this is just how I am" to avoid growing, healing, or taking accountability.

If someone truly loved themselves, they’d want to be the best version for the people who care. They’d do the hard work. Because love is not about enabling toxic patterns—it’s about evolution, honesty, and mutual effort.

Reminder: Accepting someone ≠ (does not equal) tolerating abuse, manipulation, immaturity, or unhealed trauma thrown in your face. You can have love and standards.

It's not your job to convince someone to see your worth.

A woman like you doesn’t have to chase love, affection, or appreciation... it’s supposed to find you naturally because you embody everything real and rare.

If he couldn’t recognize the blessing standing right in front of him, that’s on him.

A Lesson From Loss, Learned Too Late

You've learned now to be a better man,

How I believed back then you could ㅡ that was the plan.

But must it come at my expense,

Pathetically, trying to fix our past through your present tense?

Empathy requires practice to be a habit;

Too bad you were never one to fully commit.

I deserved more than just another lesson.

I guess when you're young, that's just beyond comprehension.

They didn’t mean it. They were just in the moment, desperate for someone to lean on. & guess what? That someone was you! Not because you were special, but because you were convenient. Their favorites weren’t around, so they settled. You were their backup plan, the temporary fix until their world fell back into place. Now the phase is over, & so are they — done with you.

Don’t let anyone treat you like a placeholder. You’re not a plan B. Get over them, for real.
