Introducing: ARTIFRACTURE, my newest GGG AU!
Summary: When the rift was opened, the gods weren't entirely sucked from the rift... but some gods ended up losing more than others. Huzzle Mug and Click Clack have to work together to find the parts of their minds that they lost, with their quest being made much more difficult by two certain mortals...
More info below the cut!
To get a little bit more in depth, this AU relies heavily on my own personal headcanons of how gods function both physically and mentally, and how that can be manipulated and explored. It's also in part a foray into the relationship between Huzzle Mug and Click Clack, two gods I don't see interacting much, but I have a lot of thoughts on their relationship.
Essentially, a god is not just their body.
While their 'body' is their tool to interact with things (and is easier for them to control because they used to be humans), their entire realm within the rift is them. When Inspekta pries open the rift at the end of the game, you can see things from their realms flying out, forming the debris around the spire. This physically 'damages' the gods, and though the rift is closed, a lot of them are left very tired, drained, and sickly until they can recuperate.
But some gods lost more than others. Huzzle Mug and Click Clack both have something in common they don't share with the other gods- dual consciousnesses.
I've touched on this a bit for Click Clack in my fic Act Zero, but essentially...
When a god ascends, their mind is also changed to help them better process their new role, depending on their domain.
The human mind cannot properly multitask. Thus, gods who needed to constantly multitask had their consciousnesses split in two, which now work together as one being.
Huzzle Mug is the god off innovation, yes, but also the future. To be so good at inventing and innovating, it has to be able to see future possibilities. But seeing every possible future is too much for one mind to handle, so it has one mind that is constantly perusing futures, and one that's focused on making decisions in the present. The 'future sight' consciousness will supply any information of what will happen when the active/present consciousness decides something.
Click Clack does something similar. He has one mind that processes the script of the world- the narrator- and one that is the 'character' or the editor. One cannot be both!
But having two means they sit 'looser' within their realms, more prone to dislodging... and that's exactly what happens.
When parts of the God realm are sucked out of the rift, Huzzle Mug's future sight consciousness and Click Clack's character/editor conscious are sucked into the mortal realm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This changes how they portray themselves, pictured above.
Click loses his 'face' as he's lost his character, and Huzzle Mug loses it's floating eyes and limbs. It also gets more splotchy and drippy when it gets emotional, and it's feet posses thumbs.
On the left is how they look at the 'beginning' of the AU, and on the right is how they look near the 'end' once they begin to function better together... and thus influence each other.
Meanwhile...
Disconnected from their realms and cut off from the rest of their bodies and minds, the parts of their consciousness they lost have to go dormant to survive (as opposed to fading into nothing), and take the form of objects. Click Clack's consciousness takes the form of a fountain pen, and Huzzle Mug's takes the form of a bag of marbles.
These items are found by Patience Zero and Dr. Cara respectively.
Though they're inert, they still possess some of their powers. The pen still has the power to make minor edits to the world, and the marbles still have the ability to tell possible futures. Patience uses the pens to actually edit her stories to make people enjoy them and listen to her, and Cara uses the marbles to evade getting in trouble... until one day, he gets a vision of Huzzle Mug finding him and Patience and being utterly pissed.
He assumes the worst, and goes out to find Patience, and convinces her to go 'on the run' or else the gods are going to hurt them. Not true, but fueled by paranoia, they go on the run... not realizing that what they possess aren't just objects that belong to the gods, but part of the gods themselves.
Huzzle Mug and Click Clack, on their own, struggle to function- but together, Click Clack's narration acts as Huzzle's future sight, and Huzzle acts as Click's 'character' and direction.
Equally, Patience and Cara have to work together to avoid capture from the gods and their followers.
There's a bit more to the AU, but this is the gist! If anyone ever has any questions, comments, concerns or thoughts, PLEASE feel free to send in asks! I'm happy to talk about them! :D

Polaroid Love - Joshua
Tumblr media
pairing: joshua x reader synopsis: You and Joshua hangout every year on the same beach, taking a single Polaroid together and writing something on the back. One year, you basically write: “This might be the year I tell you I’m in love with you.” He just has to flip the photo over. wc: 4k genre: Slowburn, Childhood friends to lovers, Fluff, Soft angst, Dual POV warning: y/n is their manager, like a drop of angst, takes them 8 years to get together, mutual pining a/n: This is also one of my past ideas i’ve finally decided to start writing!! Title is based off song Polaroid Love by Enyphen. Special thanks to @nerdycheol for beta reading for me!!
Tumblr media
Y/N’s POV
The beach hasn’t changed.
That was the first thought you had as you stepped onto the familiar stretch of sand, toes sinking into warm grains that carried years of memory. You could hear it even now—childish laughter echoing off sun-washed rocks, the crackle of a disposable camera, Joshua’s voice calling your name with that slight American accent that always lingered on your mind.
"Still early," you murmured, checking the time on your phone. The van with the rest of the members wouldn’t arrive for another thirty minutes– and honestly, you were glad. This place belonged to the two of you first—before SEVENTEEN, before the chaos of comeback schedules, before you became “Manager Y/N” and he became “Joshua Hong.”
This beach was just… yours.
You pulled the weathered Polaroid camera from your bag and gave it a shake, like always. It barely functioned now, held together with tape and hope, but you couldn’t bring yourself to replace it. It had taken ten years of photos. Ten years of this same beach. Ten years of the same boy—now a man—beside you in every frame.
Joshua arrived ten minutes late, hair tousled from the wind, sunglasses pushed back onto his head, and a gentle smile tugging at his lips. He waved with that familiar softness, like he was afraid to disturb the peace.
“You beat me again,” he said, jogging the last few steps.
“You say that every year,” you teased, reaching into your bag for the film.
“And yet I keep hoping I’ll catch you off guard.”
You didn’t tell him the truth—that you always arrived early. That you always watched the tide for a bit, hoping it would calm the nerves that still fluttered whenever you saw him smile. That this was the only day of the year where you let yourself want.
You handed him the camera, and he knew what to do. It had always been this way. One photo. One snapshot. One moment frozen in time.
He stood beside you, shoulder warm against yours, and you smiled for the lens. Not the polite smile you wore during press conferences or backstage interviews. A real one. The kind that only bloomed when he was next to you.
The Polaroid whirred. Clicked. Printed. He caught the photo as it slid out, flapping it in the air like he always did.
“Still works,” he said, voice touched with awe, like it always surprised him.
Joshua pulled out a pen from his bag and handed him the photo. "Here."
The tradition was simple: each year, you would write a message on the back of the photo. Something about the year, the day, the memory. You’d started it when he was still a trainee. At first, it was things like ‘First summer, first photo. I hope we keep coming back here.’ or ‘He brought me ice cream when I said I didn’t want any.’ Then, as years passed, the notes grew quieter. More meaningful.
This years was hard to write, and the pen felt heavier than usual.
He handed the photo over, and you sat down on a familiar rock, writing slowly, carefully. He didn’t hover. He never did. He trusted you with your silences.
You stared at the back of the photo a long time before finally scribbling something simple:
“Year ten. Still the best part of my summer.”
What you wanted to write was:
“This might be the year I tell you I’m in love with you.”
But you didn’t. You never did.
Instead, you slipped the Polaroid into the envelope with the rest and tucked it into your bag. Joshua plopped down beside you with a sigh, brushing sand off his pants.
“You ever think we’ll stop doing this?” he asked, almost absentmindedly.
You blinked. “What, coming here?”
He nodded. “Yeah. I mean… life’s busy. Stuff changes.”
Your stomach dipped. “Do you want it to stop?”
He turned to you, startled. “No—God, no. This is the best part of my year.”
You smiled, eyes burning with sunlight and unsaid things.
“Mine too.”
And you meant it.
More than he’d ever know.
Joshua’s POV
The van ride back from the beach is quiet, the kind of tired silence that comes after too much sun and just enough nostalgia. Most of the members are asleep or scrolling through their phones with half-lidded eyes. But you—you’re sitting in the front passenger seat, head against the window, the corner of your lip tilted into a secret smile.
Joshua can’t help but watch you. He always does after these beach days.
There’s something about how the light hits your face when you’re not managing a dozen things at once. No phones buzzing, no schedules in your hands. Just… you.
He looks down at the camera resting in his lap—the old, beat-up Polaroid he knows you treasure more than you let on. It barely holds together, yet you still bring it every year like it’s sacred. He kind of gets it now. Maybe some things are supposed to hold your memories even when they’re falling apart.
His fingers graze over the snap button, and his mind drifts.
That photo you took today… your smile looked different. Like you were thinking something while you smiled. Like there was something just behind your eyes that he couldn’t read, and he’s usually good at reading you.
You’ve always been good at pretending around the other members—calm, collected, dependable. But not with him. With him, your eyes give you away.
He turns the camera over in his hands again, tempted to ask if he can see what you wrote on the back of the photo. You never let him read them the same day. That was part of the tradition. “One day,” you always say, “when it’s time.”
He’s not sure what “time” you’re waiting for.
And lately… he wonders if he’s the reason you’re still waiting.
Y/N’s POV
The envelope of Polaroids feels heavier in your bag this year.
You flip through them in your apartment that night, careful not to smudge the edges. Ten photos. One each year. You run your fingers over the earliest ones—your awkward teenage smiles, the years Joshua’s hair kept changing styles, the summer he’d just debuted and looked like he barely slept.
And there you were beside him, every time. Quietly loving him in the margins of those pictures.
This year’s photo sits on top now. His eyes are crinkled from the sun, arm brushing yours, and you can still remember how your heart jumped at how close he was. You trace the words you’d written on the back.
“Year ten. Still the best part of my summer.”
It was true. But also not the whole truth.
Your phone buzzes.
[ Joshua ]
u up?
You bite back a smile.
[ You ]
barely. what’s up? everything okay?
[ Joshua ]
can’t sleep. kept thinking about today.
A pause.
[ Joshua ]
can i ask something weird?
[ You ]
always
There’s a delay. You can almost feel him typing and retyping the message.
[ Joshua ]
what do u write on the back of the photos?
You freeze.
This isn’t the first time he’s asked, but it’s the first time it feels like he means it. Like maybe he’s finally wondering if he’s missed something all these years.
[ You ]
stuff. thoughts. memories.
you’ll read them one day. promise.
Another pause.
Then:
[ Joshua ]
i think i’m scared to read them.
Your breath catches.
[ You ]
why?
It takes him three minutes to respond.
[ Joshua ]
bc what if they say something i should’ve known all along?
Your fingers hover over the keyboard, unsure what to say.
Because the truth is—
They do.
Joshua’s POV
He wasn’t snooping.
He really wasn’t.
He’d only gone looking for a spare charging cable—your bag was always a treasure trove of backups for disorganized idols—and with tour practice starting early tomorrow, he figured you wouldn’t mind.
What he didn’t expect to find was the envelope.
It was buried beneath a planner and an old notebook in your tote, sealed but not tightly. Just tucked. Familiar. Too familiar.
The envelope was thick, frayed at the corners, and handwritten in black ink:
“Polaroids – Year 1 to Now”
His chest tightened.
He knew he shouldn’t. He should drop it, put it back, pretend he never saw it. But curiosity has a way of cracking through even the best intentions—and this time, it wasn’t just curiosity.
It was hope.
That maybe he hadn’t been imagining things all these years. That maybe you’d been saying something he never learned to listen for.
His fingers trembled as he opened the flap.
They were all there. Ten Polaroids, each one dated in neat handwriting. Each one a memory.
He stopped at the photo from four years ago—year six.
The one where you were laughing, mid-motion, a little blurred, but radiant. He remembered that day because you’d spilled soda on your shirt and were trying to hide it behind his jacket. He’d called you ridiculous and beautiful in the same breath.
The note on the back read:
“One day, I’ll laugh about how easy it was to fall for someone who never looked at me that way.”
His heart stopped.
He stared at the photo for what felt like hours.
Had you meant him?
It had to be him.
Right?
Y/N’s POV
You knew something was wrong the moment you stepped into the dorm kitchen.
Joshua couldn’t meet your eyes.
He was stirring instant coffee with the kind of focus usually reserved for choreography, and the other boys were way too quiet for a room that had both Seungkwan and Minghao in it.
Your bag was on the table.
Open.
Your blood ran cold.
You stepped forward slowly, heartbeat pounding in your ears. "Josh?"
He looked up.
And held out a Polaroid.
Your breath caught the second you saw it.
Year six.
No. No no no no no—
“I wasn’t trying to find it,” he said, voice careful. Gentle. “But I read it. And I need to know if it’s about me.”
The room faded. Time stopped.
All that was left was his voice. His eyes. And ten years of everything unsaid between you.
You swallowed. “It was always about you.”
He blinked. Like he’d heard the answer but didn’t know how to hold it.
Then—quietly—he asked:
“How long?”
You let out a breath. “Eight years ago.. Maybe earlier. You were the only thing I looked forward to that summer.”
He looked down at the photo in his hands.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I didn’t know.”
“I know,” you said. “That’s why I never told you.”
There was silence.
Then, like a crack in something long frozen, he asked:
“Do I still have time to catch up?”
You blinked. “What?”
He looked at you—really looked—and his voice shook with something too tender to be casual.
“Because I think I’ve been writing mine for you all along. I just never knew how to say it.”
Y/N’s POV
It rains the next time you see him.
Not a summer sprinkle or the kind of drizzle that passes in minutes—but the kind of steady, thoughtful rain that paints the whole city in soft, gray light. The kind of weather where memories cling to windows and old feelings seep back into everything.
You wait for him in a corner booth of the café near Pledis, the one he used to drag you to before rehearsals when he insisted “coffee just tastes better when you’re sitting down with someone you like.”
You had pretended not to overthink the word like back then. Now, you don’t know what to do with it at all.
The door jingles, and he walks in—hood up, sneakers soaked, and a folded umbrella dripping in his hand. His eyes meet yours instantly.
Soft. Familiar. A little hesitant.
“Hey,” he says, breathless like he ran the last block.
You smile. “You’re late.”
“I had to get something first.”
He sits down and slides a small bag across the table. Inside is a Polaroid camera.
Brand new.
You blink. “What is this?”
“The one you have barely works anymore,” he says with a shy grin. “I figured… if we’re starting over, we should do it right.”
Your breath catches.
Starting over.
You study him, unsure how to hold all the feelings that rise in your chest at once. “So… what now?”
He pulls out the camera and holds it up, aiming it gently at you. “We make a new photo. And I get to write on the back this time.”
You freeze. “Now?”
He nods. “I’ve waited ten years. That’s long enough.”
The shutter clicks.
The moment freezes—your wide-eyed expression, his soft grin behind the lens, the warmth between you that even the rain can’t touch.
He takes the photo as it prints and flips it over. You don’t try to peek. You just watch him write, pen slow and steady.
When he finishes, he turns it over and passes it to you.
You read:
“Year 10.5, The summer I finally saw what was always right in front of me.”
Your fingers tremble as you hold it.
“I don’t want to miss anything else,” he says, voice low. “Not with you.”
You look up, eyes wet. “So what are we now?”
He reaches across the table and gently takes your hand.
“If you’ll let me,” he whispers, “I want to be the person you write about from now on. And not just once a year.”
The rain taps on the window, steady and soft.
You smile.
“Okay.”
And this time, when he takes another photo—You kiss him right after the flash.
Y/N’s POV
It’s been a year.
Twelve months since he found the envelope. Since the café. Since that rainy evening when you finally said yes to something that had been waiting in the wings of both your lives for too long.
You still carry the envelope.
But it’s a new one now. Clean, uncreased. The old photos are safe in a box under your bed—tucked away like love letters from a version of you that was always waiting.
Now, each photo gets its own sleeve. And each note is now signed with both your names.
You sit on the same beach, knees pressed to your chest, a breeze curling through your hair. Joshua’s beside you, arms resting loosely on his legs, camera balanced in his lap. There’s sand on his jeans and sunlight in his eyes.
The sky’s a watercolor above you.
“Ready?” he asks.
You nod, and he lifts the camera.
You lean into him just before the shutter clicks. He laughs—really laughs—and the moment seals in the photo: wind-swept, sunlit, shared.
He doesn’t write this time.
He hands it to you.
You grin and scrawl your words slowly, deliberately, letting them soak into the paper before you flip it around and place it on his thigh.
“Year eleven. We’re not waiting anymore.”
Joshua’s POV
He reads the words again and again.
There’s still something magical about seeing your handwriting next to him—still something soft in the way you look at him, like you’re remembering every version of him at once.
He turns to you. “Can I keep this one?”
You blink. “You want to break the streak?”
He nods. “I’ve already waited long enough. This year, I don’t want to leave the memories behind.”
You smile and hand him the photo like it’s the easiest thing in the world to give.
“You can have it,” you say. “Just remember where it started.”
He tucks it gently into his wallet. Right behind the one from the rainy café. The one that said he finally saw what was always right in front of him.
Now, he sees it every day.
One Year Later A different beach.
Same camera.
New photo.
This time, you’re holding up a tiny pair of sneakers between you, mid-laugh, your hands overlapping.
And on the back of the Polaroid, written in Joshua’s tidy scrawl:
“Year twelve. We’re making room for one more.”
The Polaroid Captions — Year 1 to Year 12
Year 1 — “First summer, first photo. I hope we keep coming back here.” Written by you. Your handwriting was shy and a little crooked. He hadn’t started looking at you like that yet.
Year 2 — “Your laugh still sounds like home. I think I miss it even when I’m next to you.” You’d written it after a long walk back to the bus. He offered you his jacket. You didn’t know how to say thank you without saying more.
Year 3 — “He brought me ice cream when I said I didn’t want any. I think he knows me better than I want him to.” This one was folded into your diary. You never told him how that moment made you ache with something almost like love.
Year 4 — “I hope he never stops smiling at me like that. Even if it’s not the way I want him to.” You sat beside him watching the fireworks. He didn’t know your heart was in your throat the whole time.
Year 5 — “You said I’m your favorite part of this beach. You didn’t mean it the way I heard it, but I’m keeping it anyway.” That night, you replayed his voice in your head like a broken song you didn’t want to fix.
Year 6 — “One day, I’ll laugh about how easy it was to fall for someone who never looked at me that way.” This was the one he found by accident. The one that made him stop pretending he hadn’t seen the signs.
Year 7 — “He doesn’t know I write songs about him in my head. He hums them without knowing who they’re for.” You almost burned this one. Almost.
Year 8 — “He asked if I was seeing anyone. I said no. He smiled. I wish I could ask him why.” You kept this one in your wallet for a while. You don’t know why.
Year 9 — “I think if I told him, I’d lose him. But if I don’t… I might lose myself.” This one was smudged. You’d cried while writing it.
Year 10 — “Still the best part of my summer.” The year you almost said it. You almost did. He felt it. And later, he’d tell you that this caption haunted him the most.
Year 10.5 — (Joshua’s first) “The summer I finally saw what was always right in front of me.” He didn’t stop smiling the entire time he wrote it. Your hands were in his lap. You kissed him after.
Year 11 — “We’re not waiting anymore.” You wrote it without hesitation. You’d spent ten years hesitating. You were done.
Year 12 — (Joshua’s handwriting) “We’re making room for one more.” A photo of you both laughing, holding tiny sneakers between you. A family forming. A beginning.
Bonus Scenes:
Joshua’s POV Year One
It wasn’t supposed to mean anything.
A quick weekend trip before training picked up again. Something to clear their heads after months of nonstop schedules and sleepless rehearsals. Their manager—you, barely older than the youngest member and still learning how to use the company credit card—had somehow convinced the staff to let them go.
Just two days at the beach. Nothing fancy.
But something shifted that weekend. He still didn’t have the words for it.
Back then, you were just the girl who always carried emergency snacks and scolded Seungcheol like you’d raised him. You kept a journal the size of your palm and wrote in it when you thought no one was watching. (He was always watching. Quietly.)
You wore sunglasses that didn’t quite fit and an oversized hoodie you stole from one of the stylists.
And on that first afternoon, you asked him to take a Polaroid with you.
“Why me?” he’d asked, laughing nervously, wiping sunscreen off his nose.
“Because you’re the only one who won’t make a weird face on purpose,” you’d said with a grin. “Probably.”
He still remembered the sound of the camera shutter. The way you leaned just slightly toward him. The smell of salt in your hair.
Afterward, you flipped the photo over, pulled out a pen, and wrote:
“First summer, first photo. I hope we keep coming back here.”
You didn’t look at him when you handed it over. Just smiled like it was any other day, any other moment.
But something in his chest tugged. Hard.
Maybe it was the way your eyes lingered on the ocean like you were already writing poems in your head. Or how you let your hand brush his when you tucked the photo back in your pocket.
Or maybe it was just that—for the first time—he wondered what it would be like to hold that hand for real.
He never told anyone that night that he couldn’t sleep. Not because of the sand, or the mosquito bites, or the noise from the maknaes.
But because he kept hearing your voice in his head:
“I hope we keep coming back here.”
And something inside him whispered: Me too.
Even then.
Even before he knew.
📸 Year 1 — "First summer, first photo. I hope we keep coming back here."
Joshua’s memory: He thought your smile would fade after the shutter clicked, but it didn’t. You kept grinning, eyes crinkled, like this photo meant something more to you than just a souvenir.
He wondered what it would mean to you if he reached for your hand and didn’t let go.
He didn’t. But he thought about it all night.
📸 Year 3 — “He brought me ice cream when I said I didn’t want any.”
Joshua’s memory: You hadn’t asked for it. He just knew you’d change your mind after a few bites—you always did.
He watched the way your expression softened when you tasted the flavor you liked best. You smiled without looking at him.
That night, he wrote a melody about it. No lyrics. Just something light and sweet that sounded like you laughing into the ocean wind.
📸 Year 5 — “You said I’m your favorite part of this beach.”
Joshua’s memory: He did say it. Casually. Without thinking.
But when he saw the way you paused—how your lips parted slightly like you were trying not to hope too hard—he felt something twist in his stomach.
He realized then: he liked that you looked at him like that. And it terrified him.
📸 Year 6 — “One day, I’ll laugh about how easy it was to fall for someone who never looked at me that way.”
Joshua’s memory: He found this photo after 4 years, slipped in an envelope with all the others in your room. The caption punched the air out of his lungs.
He didn’t know who you were talking about.
But he hoped—God, he hoped—it was him.
He never asked. But after that, he started seeing you differently.
Or maybe he just let himself admit that he always had.
📸 Year 9 — “I think if I told him, I’d lose him. But if I don’t… I might lose myself.”
Joshua’s memory: You looked so quiet that year. Softer. Tired, maybe. Or maybe he just hadn’t noticed how much of your brightness came from pretending.
He wanted to say something—to ask what was wrong, to tell you he’d stay no matter what.
But you smiled and said you were fine.
And he didn’t want to ruin the beach tradition by telling you how his hands wouldn’t stop shaking when they brushed yours.
📸 Year 10.5 — “The summer I finally saw what was always right in front of me.”
Joshua’s memory: He wrote those words knowing you would cry.
He wanted you to. He wanted you to feel every year he’d spent wondering and worrying and waiting too long.
You didn’t cry, not then. But when you looked at him after reading it, he saw every photo reflected in your eyes.
He kissed you after the next shutter flash. He was done waiting.
📸 Year 12 — “We’re making room for one more.”
Joshua’s memory: You were already laughing before the picture printed. The baby shoes dangled from your hands like a secret you couldn’t keep any longer.
He looked at you like he’d never stop being in awe.
And maybe he wouldn’t.
He didn’t need a caption for that one. But he wrote one anyway. For the album. For the memory.
For the version of himself that always dreamed it might end like this.

The Sea Primordials
-A group of Hypogeans that live in the sea
-They are named this due to how the of each of them are and their relation to the sea
-Close friends for as long as any of them could remember (could technically be siblings)
-Due to a special bond, it’s possible for them to revive each other from the dead
-They formed from the nightmares of a thalassophobic primal god. First he dreamed of something singing in the depths below. A year later, he dreamt of something watching him as he drowned. A century later, he dreamed of a beautiful creature swimming up to him poisoning him. 50 years after that, he dreamed of a ravenous being dragging him to the depths before attacking him and eating him alive. His head dropped onto the sea floor and a scavenger tore it apart. 10 years after that, he dreamed of a creature plotting his downfall and orchestrating it. The last and final nightmare comes a month after the one before, this time of something moving fast and picking parts out of him and darting away before he could react.
-All of the Sea Primordials are capable of entering dreams and interacting with them

Synopsis: When the local 'bad boy' of your institution falls in love. There is a palpable tension that hangs tantalizingly amongst you. The universe plays its game to make the two of you, end up in compromising situations. Cliches that have your heart throbbing!
Characters: Hanma Shuji, Ran Haitani,
A/N: trying something new with multi-tenses
Tumblr media
𝐑𝐀𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐈
You have no idea how you ended up like this. As far as you remember, it was supposed to be a study session for Ran who was failing miserably.
...
The teacher had suggested Ran take peer tuition from you. He had walked outside the classroom and looked at you. Your eyes meet. Amethyst pupils…Ran Haitani's eyes were the prettiest you had ever seen. He looked at you half liddlely, twirling his dual-coloured braids in his fingers.
The expression on his face was unreadable. You can feel your heart pounding in your chest. You couldn't help but be embarrassed, but you couldn't help but stare at the tall and broad-shouldered man in front of you. His eyes scanned you up and down and then he smiled, his intense gaze softening. You felt a warmth spread through your body as if the sun came out of behind the clouds.
"Y/N could you come here for a moment, I need to talk to you,” he had said to you and you nodded apprehensively at your friends before following your older classmate. He's bad news. Everyone knows that. They avoid him like the plague. It's just him and Rin.
"What is up?" you asked softly, your heart was beating out of your chest due to an expression you don't know.
Ran took a deep breath and rubbed the nape of his neck, “So uh I don’t know how to put this, but I am failing all my classes and our homeroom teacher recommended me to talk to you if you would be interested in giving me peer tuition...since you are smart and stuff.” He said awkwardly and looks at your reaction.
You bit your lip as you considered all the options. He's a delinquent, a violent person, a known bad boy and basically the kid your parents tell you to stray away from. But its studies. if anything goes wrong you can always tell the teacher, right? There is no harm in giving him a chance... that's what you had thought.
...
Ran Haitani was insufferable.
"Wait what- how did you do that?" he asks, keeping his head on the table, like a puppy and you almost get the urge to pet this murderous delinquent.
You sigh and explain for the 5th time, "See you can't apply y=mx+c here since the graph is clearly not a linear function. It's not a straight line, but a symmetric curve. What did I say it is?"
Ran looks at you blankly and then answers, "Cubic function...?"
You facepalm at his answer and then look back at him, "It's a Quadratic function. y= ax^2 + bx + c."
"Ohh, now I get it." Ran nods and quickly scribbles in his notebook.
You sigh and rest your head on your palm as you look at Ran. Whenever he writes, his dual-colored braids move slightly. His knuckles are bruised as if he punched someone, and there is a tiny mole just above his lips. The way his lashes flutter innocently when he reads the problems almost makes your heart race. You can't help but be drawn to him, even though you know you shouldn't be. He looks up and catches your eye, and you quickly look away, feeling embarrassed. You take a deep breath and try to focus on the paper in front of you.
"Done," he says enthusiastically and you take his notebook and scan through the equations, you then look up at him with a smile and nod, "All correct, good job."
Ran smiles proudly and leans back on the chair, "You are a good teacher." You smile at his words and lean back in your chair, observing him silently.
"Say, Y/N," he asks quietly, "do you have a boyfriend?" He spins the pen between his fingers with dexterity. You look at him for a moment, feeling a slight flush on your cheeks. You shake your head lightly, averting your gaze. "No," you say, your voice soft and airy, "I don't have a boyfriend."
His gaze lingers on you for a moment, his lips curling into a small smile. He nods his head ever so slightly and turns back to his work, spinning his pen in his fingers.
It's Ran Haitani, you have to remind yourself. The notorious delinquent of your school. You can't help but feel your heart flutter in your chest. He had always been a mysterious figure, never talking to anyone, but in that moment, he had seemed almost human. He wasn't the same person that everyone whispered about in the hallways, but someone more complex and intriguing.
"What are you thinking about?" he asks and rests his face on his palm. "Well anyways I think this unit is done." He says proudly.
You nod and pack up your things, "I guess that's it for today, I'll let you know if I'll continue the tuition by Monday. You say, ready to leave as he grabs your hand.
"Wait," he says gently, "let me walk you home." He wants to make sure you get home safely and is showing a kind gesture by offering to walk you home. He also might be trying to extend the conversation and see if you want to continue having tuitions in the future.
"Alright." You two leave the library and walk in silence for a while. Your tote bag with books slung over your shoulder.
The sidewalk is almost empty. The two of you stroll toward your house peacefully, but suddenly a rampant kid approaches with his bike out of control and you don't know what to do. At this point, he is incapable of controlling the bike due to its speed. "Move!" he shouts, unable to control the bike.
Ran panics as he thinks of a way to escape and does what seems the closest escapade. He pushes you and himself towards a wall on the right, his hand behind your head. Ran looks back at the kid, scowling at him and then he looks into your eyes as his breathing speeds up. He has you pinned to the wall. Your watery eyes peering up at him almost make him want to tilt his head and capture your lips in his.
He coughs and moves away, a faint blush adorning his face. "Let's go." He says as you two walk towards your house. There is silence again, but it is awkward.
He pauses as you two reach your house. You nod at him, about to enter in as he says.
"I look forward to our next tutoring session, Y/N. Maybe this time I could teach you a thing or two."

𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐌𝐀 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐉𝐈
"I am regretting my life right now, Hanma Shuji," you whisper-shout as he unlocks the window of the library.
"Relax, sweetheart, I'll get ya' out safe and sound," he says and you feel warmth on your face at that term. You and Hnama had been paired up for an assignment and he had kept on delaying it until the end till the research for the final conclusion of the project was still left.
...
So there he was on the floor of your dorm room, the importance of the university assignment is finally hitting him.
“How do we get the research? Is the internet enough?” He had asked and you shook your head.
“It’s such an oddly specific topic that if can only be done by a few textbooks that are in the library. It would be closed by now! The deadline is tomorrow.” You said rubbing your finger on you temples.
Hanma sighs, his tongue rests on the corner of his lips,”Its my fault I get it, it was a two people project, you handled so much on your own while I was preoccupied with gang shenanigans.” He said, for once taking his education seriously because he knows this accounts to huge percentage of the aggregate and more importantly cause it’s you.
"Lets sneak into the library then," he said and you frowned.
"What? Its 11 PM right now, it must be closed." You huffed.
"Just trust me."
....
The lock opened with a click and he urged you to go in first. You bite your lips and climb into the low window with Hanma's help. His long fingers grip your waist as he easily hoists you up on the sill and the climbs up himself. His tall stature making it easy for him.
You both land on the library floor with a plop and Hanma whispers, "where is it?"
"Probably the left wing, lets go," you whisper back , standing up as you walk slowly to the set of shelves.
Hanma switches on the flash of his phone as he searches through the titles with you, checking the spines of the books, you look at the downward shelves while he checks the upper ones.
"Got it!" He exclaims and takes out the book and shows it to you. You nod in approval at his efficiency. You both switch off the flash and are about to leave when the guard's footsteps are heard.
Your eyes widen as you look at Hanma with a fear-struck expression. Hanma quickly grabs your hand and huddles at the back of the rack with you. He gazes behind the shelves and both of your heartbeats are pounding.
The guard flashes the torch around and leaves. You breathe a sigh of relief, but soon realise the way you are pressed against him. Hanms seemed unfazed, but you could tell that wasn't the case by his rapid breathing and heart thumping under your hand.
You could feel the tension between the two of you, the palpable heat radiating off Hanma's body as you pressed up against him. You both seemed spellbound at the moment, neither willing to break the gaze or the silence that hung in the air.
His hand shakily reaches your cheek to brush the strands of hair that fall on your face. His amber eyes, seemed to be searching for an answer in yours, as though he was trying to read your mind and uncover the secrets of your soul through your gaze alone. You could feel the intensity of the moment, each of you seemingly lost in the other in a way that felt both frightening and exhilarating at the same time.
" 'S pretty," he mumbles hoarsely like it's your name, his back against the side of the bookshelf. He whispers with a dulcet voice that kissed the air like the smell of a fresh blossom of Night Jasmine.
He did this cause he was guilty that has stressed you out more. You who makes an annoying softness in his heart light up, how he subconsciously bends a little while he talks to you, bites his tongue from using crude words…what have you done to him?
You were supposed to be just another student in his batch, when did he get addicted to your voice? When did he start noticing your perfume notes?
It's only an attraction he thinks. Only pure infatuation that comes with your expressive eyes and endearing demeanour...but it's not, it's so much more at it kills him.
He then snaps back into reality and helps you up on your feet, giving you no chance to question his words, "Let's finish the assignment first...we could go for coffee tomorrow."

Hellooo, I'm so sorry for the late reply!
I'm glad that you enjoyed my previous ramble on the ASL trio having HSR combat mechanics. (I was tempted to delete the whole thing bcos it felt too niche on HSR gameplay ><), but still, I'm glad you see my vision 🙏
Now that I think about it, Ace's Ult should be named 'Flame Commandment: Fire Pillar' rather than the initial one I suggested. It feels more consistent with his canon techniques :D For sure if Ace had a designated team (the same way Firefly is meant for a Break team comp), Marco can be his Gallagher (an Fire-type Abundance unit who can deal damage + provide team-wide healing). In many ways, Marco would be a great support for Ace 🤧
Regarding who can inflict status effects more often, I do feel like Sabo can do that more than Ace simply because of his control and mastery of Haki (if we're going with canon material, that is). Sabo growing up in the RA taught him how to be more strategic and resourceful in combat. Whereas Ace, as powerful as he was, wasn't able to utilize much of his Haki and therefore hone it alongside his DF abilities. But, this is debatable, since again, I'm way behind in the plot. And apparently, Ace did have all three Haki and used them unconsciously.
As for Luffy's element type, I feel like Luffy could also work as a Physical-type unit if he were to be a separate 5-star character lol. Main character moment, I would say. He has a Fire-type version and then a Physical-type version where his Ult will be a Gear lower. I'm thinking Physical-type Luffy would be a Destruction unit who can deal damage in the form of Counterattacks (like Yunli and Clara). He can parry an enemy's attack and then counter it depending on the amount he received.
----------------------------------------------------
Bonus edition with some of the Strawhats (feel free to add on / come up with your own if these feel inaccurate!):
Zoro - Nihility; Wind (functions similarly to Acheron—big on Acheron here, if you check her gameplay). Zoro would be a multi-target AoE DPS whose main damage comes from stacking up on debuffs that are inflicted onto enemies. Also, when he activates his Ult, he ignores enemy weakness type and has complete Toughness Reduction in that state (again, just like Acheron's Ult). Zoro can synergize well with Sanji and function in a dual-DPS team with him. -> also, funnily enough, both have the tendency to get lost easily lol
Nami - Harmony; Lightning (inspired by Tingyun's abilities). She can boost a party members's ATK and regenerate Energy. Also, if Nami is in the party, she automatically gives All-RES PEN buffs to her team. (Nami's a generalist, but she can definitely be a good support for any damage-dealing character as long as they scale off of ATK :3)
Usopp - Harmony; Imaginary (methinks he'd have abilities similar to Bronya's or Sparkle's—most defn Sparkle tho...). Usopp can provide 100% action advance to a single party member, a 20% DMG boost, and also restore 2 skill points (with his Ult). Definitely a helpful unit for charas who eat up tons of skill points.
Sanji - Nihility; Physical (I'm thinking a combo of Luka's, Boothill's, and Cipher's abilities). Main damage comes from his Ult by accumulating stacks of DoT (whether it's Bleed, Burn, Shock, or Wind Shear). When stacks reach a certain level, he can deal massive Ult DMG against a max. of 3 enemies. (To maximize his damage, you gotta pair him up with a DoT enabler). After he activates his Ult, he inflicts additional Bleed DoT onto enemies.
Chopper - Abundance; Imaginary ? (could function similarly to Huohuo and Luocha). In addition to providing healing, Chopper can regenerate his teammates' Energy and dispel debuffs inflicted onto characters. Also, when using his technique pre-battle, Chopper creates a zone in which teammates restore some HP for 2 turns each time they deal an attack. (He's a must-have sustainer especially for characters who tend to lose HP easily).
Robin - Erudition; Quantum (inspired by Jade's abilities). Robin would be a multi-target sub-DPS who can deal damage through Follow-up Attacks or Counterattacks (in other words, when she's paired up with either version of Luffy, she becomes very OP). Her Ult can be recharged by how many times a character takes action (the more often the main DPS attacks, the better).
Franky - Preservation; Imaginary (functions similarly to Aventurine). Franky would be a great tanker tbh. He can provide shields to the entire team based on the amount of DEF he has. Each time a team member gets attacked while the shield effect is on, Franky gains stacks which he can accumulate to deal a Follow-up Attack on all enemies and apply another layer of shielding (the more you get hit, the better). His Ult can build on stacks and increase an enemy's Crit DMG received at the same time.
Brook - Preservation; Quantum (somewhat inspired by Fu Xuan's gameplay). Brook can absorb some of the damage his teammates receive and also reduce the damage they receive whenever he's on the field. If his HP drops below 50% from absorbing damage, he can restore up to 80% of his HP. Or, if his HP remains above 50%, he can convert some of that absorbed damage as his own and deal damage equivalent to that (in a way, the more his teammates get hit, the better).
Jinbe - Preservation; Physical (he'd be a Gepard, but better lmao). Jinbe is both a tanker and a DPS with a high base DEF and increased Effect Res. Whenever he's on the field, he automatically applies Taunt on enemies (thereby directing all the damage to himself). In addition, each time his teammates receive fatal damage, he can parry their attacks and deal massive damage of his own based on his DEF. (He can be OP if built right). If Jinbe receives a killing blow, his HP will only drop to 1 once (in this state he needs to be shielded or healed).
----------------------------------------------------
Ngl these are so fun to do hahaha, but as far as my OP knowledge goes, this is all I can think of atm
Now I'm imagining interactions between OP and HSR characters bcos of this (delulu)
Let me know your thoughts tho! teehee
~ ⚜️ anon
welcome back ⚜️ anon! For a moment I thought that because I took such a long time to get back to you, I wouldn't hear from you again!
You know a lot more about the meta of HSR than I do. I find it rather overwhelming and just do my best with the suggestions the game gives and that I find online 😂 so unfortunately I am unable to do much more than listen and give responses regarding the cosmetic details (names and stuff)
for Chopper, given he's from Drum Island, why not make him an Ice Abundance?
I also think that Brook could be ice too! I'm not going to say much here though. I feel like Quantum was chosen because of him being a musician right?
I also thought Franky would be a preservation unit! Given he's a cyborg like Bootie though, wouldn't he be physical? I'm curious, what inspired you to pick imaginary?
with Robin I wasn't sure whether or not she's be Harmony, and you solved that dilemma! I like her functioning similar to Jade! (Jade didn't come home when I pulled for her, I got the cutie lil Bailu instead) her being Erudition is so true to character!
Jinbe being preservation is just 🥹💚 I didn't think of that, but yes. Yes. Absolutely yes.
I really, really like the Nami - Usopp Harmony choice: because YES. Also picking lightening for Nami is PERFECT because she uses thunderbolt tempo quite a bit.
Lol Zoro being Acheron works so well: Swordsmen with katanas. I really enjoy how he and Sanji seem to carry similar functions given they are the other powerhouses in the crew alongside Luffy. Though Sanji could also be fire too, Diable Jambe and all.
lol hsr and OP characters interacting? sounds fun! Tashigi, Yunli and Yanqing can fangirl/boy over swords together 😂 Nami and Tingyun and their business scheming sounds hilarious. Yeah Nami would have a lot of fun with topaz too, anyone who has money. I don't think she'd agree with Aventurine's gambling, but if he's giving her money, she probably likes him.
I feel like Robin would enjoy a conversation with Jing Yuan, as would Jinbe, probably. Hold up, actually, I think Robin might enjoy being in Dan Heng's presence more, because he can give her access to the data bank. While I think Robin can play mind games with Jing Yuan, and would likely want to extract what historical info she wants straight out of him, she'd appreciate how straightforward Dan Heng can be. Wait wait wait, now that I'm remembering all these characters: Robin and Black Swan would be a duo. They both have that playful side.
Franky I can see taking an interest in both Svarog and Boothill.
Zoro and Acheron getting lost together.
I think if Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper got the chance to see Boothill shoot with his finger, they'd get stars in their eyes.
Yunli and Luffy could be glutinous together. No wait: I want Stelle and Luffy being menaces together.
Serval and Brook are vibing with Pela.
Sanji and Argenti having a conversation sounds like a riot because Argenti is like beauty in all things, Sanji is like: women. Sanji and Jiaoqiu can talk food and cooking.
who would Sabo and Ace interact / vibe with I wonder. Sabo and Phainon would be silly geese together maybe.

hello! sorry to ask the same question twice but i wanted to make sure tumblr didn't eat my ask. is there any chance you might release the brush packs as png files some day? the art program i use just doesn't use abr, and the 'ultimate background and rendering pack' wouldn't work with the converter i tried. if the answer is no, that's cool! it's already really nice that you've released the stuff you have, and i don't want to demand more work (and idk if you can convert them easily or not)
No problem, my inbox is admittedly a mess LOL
If it were only a few brushes then I would attempt this but it's literally. like a hundred brushes\(º □ º l|l)/ So I don't think this is something I'll be able to swing any time soon :< I also have, admittedly, zero clue how to work with PNG brushes or create them so I worry they may not even function properly if I tried, not to mention a lot of the brushes require the brush engines installed with Clip Studio and PS to work, such as dual brush settings and pen tilt adjustments, much of which wouldn't be preserved if I made manual PNG brush sets out of them.
I'm really sorry about that! If I ever do figure out how to do it in a way that guarantees proper full and efficient conversion, I'll be sure to update the brush pack and put out an announcement! ( ´ ∀ `)ノ~ ♡

Murder Drone “Eyes”
It seems like a lot of folks think the five yellow headband-esque lights on the MDs heads are actually eyes. IMO this is actually where their nanite acid is produced. I’ve had this impression since my very first watch through, from Uzi and N’s pilot fight. Here’s N before the battle;
Tumblr media
Five full reservoirs of corrosive nanite acid, primed and ready for use. After their fight, when N notably jabbed Uzi with the injector on his tail;
Tumblr media
The red one is empty! Recharging for the next round of murder. This also neatly accounts for all the yellow liquid that spills out of J’s reservoir when Uzi stabs her with a pen in the pilot;
Tumblr media
This interpretation is, admittedly not without its flaws. If this is the case, why didn’t the reservoirs go red after N stabbed J’s corrupted core repeatedly(four times by my count) in episode 2? Here he is immediately after, all lights still yellow;
Tumblr media
Maybe since the core was a small target, he didn’t use enough acid to make it necessary to pull from the reserve. Or maybe this is the detail that proves my theory wrong.
In the spirit of scientific fairness, the pilot did show that his one red light switches back to yellow immediately after J hard rebooted him with a slap;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During reboot, all the lights go black, then blink on again one at a time, with a noticeable double blink in the previously red cell. This actually seems consistent with a visual sensor error being rectified by a hard reset, especially given the shift in N’s retrieved memories. Uzi goes from being unseen, to seen;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s also been observed that the disassembly drones all seem to see the world cast in tones of yellow light… perhaps as if looking through yellow liquid.
Now, I’m not trying to debunk my own theory; I still think the lights are definitely acid reservoirs/generators. However, I’m just sharing my favored opinion on the matter, not putting down anyone who still prefers to think of them as eyes 😉 At this point, either theory is plausible and supported by the evidence given in the show… maybe both are even correct at the same time! Dual functionality in an appendage(for lack of better word) sure would be efficient, tying in well with robotic themes.

Topic: Sonic Bedroom Aesthetic
A few years ago I was standing in my bedroom, looking around at it's color scheme and textures. Sky blue walls. White popcorn ceiling with silver glitter stuck to it. Orange and green mesh IKEA organizers hanging from the ceiling. A pleasant latte color for the carpet, doors, windows, and frames. A furry white blanket and other blankets with a party of cutesy forest critters on them. Furry green, yellow, blue pillows and a fuzzy yellow backrest. It all felt really familiar right before I realized OH SNAP, IT'S LIKE GREEN HILL ZONE AND SONIC VIBES👀
Ever since then, I've been rolling with that theme and gradually adding more Sonic Vibes. A set of bedsheets printed with dark green & white checkerboard and compass rose pattern sheets. A rainbow flag curtain on one half of the corner window and a sunflower curtain on the other half. Cloud and rainbow LED lights sit on the windowsill. Sunflower string lights line the window frame, and an orange & blue lantern printed with butterflies & flowers hangs from the ceiling, with crystal sun catchers hanging from that. Blue, pink, green, and orange glow-in-the-dark stars stick to one section of the ceiling. A small rotating star lamp and a small rotating blue kaleidoscope lamp are positioned on a shelf to shine at the ceiling whenever I'm feeling either vibe.
As I reorganize my desk space and eventually swap the desk for a double-tiered/compartment one, I am adding and rearranging these items on it: A geometric pattern lamp, black & white checkerboard pencil case(s) and phone stand, orange and blue metal pen holders, lots of pens that have fake gems on top/inside them, fuzzy green and orange plaid pumpkins, fake flowers held in aesthetic empty bottles, and a pink Amy Rose themed flower bouquet held in a pink ceramic jar that says Blooms. I will eventually add a small sculpture that is fake flowers in a jar (shaped similarly like the enchanted rose jar in "Beauty and the Beast"), which reminds me of the sunflower kept alive in the item bubble in the Scrapnik Island comic storyline. I also thrifted a brown wooden footrest that has fuzzy green grass looking fabric on top. Having the knick-knack things on my desk might be impractical but it's for the ✨️aesthetic✨️, and I have a wide-ish coffee table as an additional workspace.
I was taking inventory of my candle storage bin and I found my small Target candle in a yellow jar that says ADVENTURE on it, and the scent is Citrus Sunflower. I have various candle holders that have butterflies/flowers/geometric/gemstone shaped patterns, and one with beaded vines. I have rainbow sequin ornaments that look like Chaos Emeralds and colorful pompom garland that I haven't found a place to hang yet, as well as "vine" ribbon (brown twine with green fabric leaves) to decorate here and there.
I am excited to finally curate a space that feels functional but also feels stimulating, colorful, and reflects my interests. It's funny, when I was younger, I wanted to paint my walls dark charcoal grey and have pops of pink, blue, purple and spooky touches for a Monster High and/or Nightmare Before Christmas themed room. I still have spooky elements in my room (it's always Halloween in my soooouuul), which could be dual references to my aforementioned interests and also Pumpkin Hill🤣

General Penelope background type stuff that may change based on what The Veilguard gives us to work with:
Tumblr media
She has three younger siblings plus her sister-in-law and nephew that she provides a home for.
Platonically married to her best friend, Finn: a blacksmith with slowly failing eye sight. They love each other very much. He is her best friend and her person, so she would never pursue a relationship with someone who couldn't handle how much Finn means to her.
A rogue affiliated with the Shadow Dragons and also a bartender at a small pub.
Tends not to sleep much, but has gotten used to functioning without it. Any chance for a nap, however, will be taken without hesitation. When left alone with nothing pressing to tend to, Pen can easily sleep a whole day away.
Comes off as fairly deadpan and emotionless much of the time, but mostly she's just a subdued person who is surprisingly laid back for how much she always has on her plate.
Tends to have a very gallows/dark sense of humor. When she laughs it's either a sharp bark of laughter that ends quick or she straight up witch cackles. There is no in between.
Can be very blunt, often without realizing right away if she's being rude.
Adept at dual wielding, but is an exceptionally talented archer and often only pulls her bow out in dire situations (because she's cocky enough about her skills to give herself a handicap in battle unless circumstances are especially dire)
Loves her food to be as spicy as possible. If her eyes aren't tearing up a little then her food ain't properly seasoned.
When somebody becomes one of her people (aka a close friend, ally, or somebody who feels like family) she becomes fiercely protective of them, to the point that she will readily threaten anybody who shows an indication of wanting to hurt them.
She loves kids and has never regretted having to step up to raise her siblings, but has zero desire to have children of her own. She would happily become a pet parent, though.
God-tier alcohol tolerance. Nobody she knows has ever seen her drunk.
Has a zero tolerance policy for slavers. She isn't one to kill all willy nilly, but when it comes to slavers, she never hesitates. It's on sight.
Davrin should expect that she'll be a total pillow princess. If she's getting laid, she wants to be treated well and spoiled. She works hard, dammit. She deserves it.

Best Dab/Wax Pens of 2024 + New User Guide
All dab pens have a similar anatomy- a battery, chamber, and mouthpiece. The main difference is in the coil design. Dab pens can have a "coil-less" bowl where the heat is generated under the bowl and heats the dabs indirectly, or "exposed coils" which have a heating wire wrapped around a center rod and heat up the dabs by direct contact.
Tumblr media
The two different coil types cater to the two different groups of dab users- the soft and flavorful vs. the harsh and potent. The first group is looking for a mild experience that highlights every terpene of their delicious solventless rosin, and the second group is looking for high-temp dabbing that provides an experience closer to traditional dabbing with harsh vapor and a strong throat hit.
I fall into the first group more than the second, but regardless, I understand that different users have different preferences, and I will list options for both types of users.
Notes:
Some of these vapes were sent to me for free by the manufacturer for reviews, which I publish on my website- vapeguy.com
Links are affiliate. Thanks for supporting.
Full list of coupons can be found here- https://vapeguy.com/coupon-codes/
"Soft and flavorful."
The Puffco Plus has a built-in ceramic dab tool that can be used to scoop a tiny amount. Screwing the mouthpiece back will position the dab right in the center of the coil so it melts in as soon as you activate the heat. It has three temperature levels, and you can hold it for manual heat or double-click for a ten-minute session. The flavor is good, and this pen is dead simple to use.
Tumblr media
The cons of the Plus are-
The chamber is on the small side. Load a tiny amount and be careful not to overfill it.
It uses a 510 charger instead of the more modern and accessible USB-C.
The Puffco Plus retails for $89 from vape-smart.com, and you can use coupon code TVG10 for 10% off.
The Gpen Mirco+ is slightly shorter than the Puffco, has three temp levels, and while it doesn't have a built-in dab tool like the Puffco, it features the much preferred USB-C charger plug.
Tumblr media
It also has a microchip that regulates the temperature in the bowl, ensuring the concentrate does not overheat. It has great vapor quality, and at $75, it is a really solid option.
GPen Micro Plus retails for $75 directly from G-Pen and you can use coupon code TVG20 for 20% discount.
"Strong & harsh"
Tronian Gammatron & Utillian 5- Both vapes have a heating wire wrapped around a center red. These get "red hot" very quickly and create a nail-like experience.
The Utillian is thicker and heavier, and it has adjustable airflow and four temperature levels. The Tronian has a built-in wax container and three temperature levels. Both vapes also have a dab tool built into the mouthpiece, but just a heads up, the one of the Utillian 5 is fragile and can break easily. I already broke one. Utillian also sells a compatible water bubbler that sits on top and adds water filtration for more comfortable consumption.
Both vapes are very good options, but I will give a slight edge to the Tronian. They are available from vape-smart.com and you can use coupon code TVG10 for 10% disount.
Hybrid or dual-use vapes
The Ooze Booster has three temp levels and a coil that looks like a spongy stone that soaks up the wax and vaporizes it. The bottom has a 14mm adapter, so it can easily power any existing rig, replacing the old-school nail and torch setup. Read my full review here.
The XMAX Riggo is not a dab pen, but it functions the same way. It has a similar coil and can be used as a dry pipe or used with the included adapter to connect to a bubbler. It has four temp levels and, interestingly enough, can be used with 510 carts as well. Vapor quality is pretty good, considering the $60 price tag. Read my full review here.
Tumblr media
The Boundless Terp Pen is a dab straw. Instead of loading dab into the coil, you dip the coil directly into the container. This consumption method means zero wastage and ultimate control over how much vapor you're getting. By moving the coil closer or further away, you have fine control over the experience.
The Boundless also has a built-in wax container, so you can take around a quarter of a graham to go, three temp levels, and a tapered rim that will fit bubblers as well. Read my full review here.
I think that basically covers the available options. Do you have any suggestions? Which vape pens should be added and why?

In today’s fast-paced digital world, having a reliable secondary display can significantly boost productivity, whether you're working remotely, traveling, or simply need extra screen real estate. The VCHANCE 13.3 Inch OLED Portable Monitor is a sleek, high-performance display designed for professionals who demand vibrant visuals, fast response times, and portability.
In this in-depth review, we’ll explore its key features, performance, and why it might be the perfect travel companion for your laptop or Mac.
Key Features of the VCHANCE 13.3 Inch OLED Portable Monitor
Stunning OLED Display with 100% DCI-P3 Color Accuracy One of the standout features of this monitor is its OLED panel, which delivers deep blacks, vibrant colors, and exceptional contrast ratios. Unlike traditional LCD screens, OLED technology allows for true blacks since each pixel emits its own light.
1920x1080 Full HD Resolution – Crisp and clear visuals for work and entertainment.
100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut – Ideal for designers, photographers, and video editors who need accurate color reproduction.
10-bit Color Depth – Smoother gradients and reduced banding in professional applications.
Ultra-Fast 1ms Response Time for Smooth Performance Whether you're gaming, editing videos, or simply scrolling through documents, a slow response time can cause annoying ghosting or blurring. The 1ms response time ensures:
Smooth cursor movements when working with multiple windows.
No motion blur in fast-paced games or videos.
Better overall responsiveness compared to standard portable monitors.
Touchscreen Functionality for Enhanced Productivity The 10-point capacitive touchscreen adds versatility, making it ideal for:
Drawing & Design Work – Use a stylus for precise input (compatible with most active pens).
Touch-Based Apps – Navigate Windows or macOS with intuitive touch controls.
Interactive Presentations – Great for business professionals on the go.
Lightweight & Portable Design for Travelers Weighing just under 2 pounds and with a slim profile, this monitor is perfect for:
Digital Nomads – Fits easily in a backpack alongside a laptop.
Business Travelers – Set up a dual-screen workstation in hotel rooms or coffee shops.
Students – Great for multitasking between research and note-taking.
Plug-and-Play Compatibility with Laptops, Macs, and More The VCHANCE monitor supports multiple connectivity options:
USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) – Single-cable solution for power and video (ideal for MacBooks and modern laptops).
Mini HDMI – Connect to gaming consoles, cameras, or older devices.
Built-in Speakers – Decent audio for casual use (though external speakers or headphones are recommended for better sound).
Performance & Real-World Use Cases
Office & Productivity For professionals working with spreadsheets, coding, or multitasking, the extra screen space is a game-changer. The matte anti-glare coating reduces reflections, making it usable even in bright environments.
✅ Best for:
Excel/Data Analysts – Compare datasets side by side.
Programmers – Code on one screen, documentation on the other.
Content Creators – Edit videos while keeping timelines and previews separate.
Creative Work (Photo & Video Editing) The 100% DCI-P3 coverage ensures that colors remain accurate, which is crucial for:
Photographers – Retouching images with true-to-life colors.
Video Editors – Previewing footage without color shifts.
Graphic Designers – Working on illustrations with precise color grading.
Gaming & Entertainment While not marketed as a gaming monitor, the 1ms response time and OLED contrast make it surprisingly good for:
Casual Gaming – Play indie games or older titles with vibrant visuals.
Cloud Gaming – Stream Xbox Game Pass or GeForce Now with minimal input lag.
Media Consumption – Watch movies with deep blacks and rich colors.
On-the-Go Use (Travel & Remote Work) The included smart cover doubles as a stand, allowing for multiple viewing angles:
Landscape Mode – Ideal for productivity and movies.
Portrait Mode – Useful for coding or reading long documents.
Since it’s powered via USB-C, you can even run it from a power bank if no outlet is available.
Pros & Cons ✅ Pros: ✔ Stunning OLED display with perfect blacks and vibrant colors. ✔ Ultra-thin and lightweight – Easy to carry anywhere. ✔ Touchscreen functionality adds versatility. ✔ Wide compatibility with laptops, Macs, and gaming devices. ✔ Fast 1ms response time reduces motion blur.
❌ Cons: ✖ No built-in battery – Requires external power (USB-C or adapter). ✖ Speakers are average – External audio is recommended. ✖ Limited to 60Hz refresh rate – Not ideal for competitive gaming.
Who Should Buy This Monitor? This portable monitor is ideal for:
Professionals who need a second screen for work.
Digital Nomads & Travelers looking for a lightweight display.
Creatives who require color-accurate panels.
Students who want extra screen space for research and assignments.
Final Verdict: Is the VCHANCE 13.3" OLED Portable Monitor Worth It? If you're looking for a high-quality, portable secondary display with OLED brilliance, touch functionality, and excellent color accuracy, the VCHANCE 13.3 Inch OLED Portable Monitor is a fantastic choice. While it lacks a built-in battery and high refresh rate, its sleek design, vibrant visuals, and fast response time make it one of the best portable monitors for professionals on the go.
Where to Buy? Available on Amazon, Best Buy, and the official VCHANCE website (prices may vary based on promotions).
