ok my final verdict is that if Harrow irl didn’t smell bad and also if she was a calming amount of nonchalant about her wayward bodily functions yeah I guess I’d adore her or whatever. and I’d be her sworn sword or scribe or oss ox. and turn her book pages for her and lovingly cook her tea that I only let steep for thirty seconds and I’d beg her to do my face paint because it’s relaxing when she does it and I’d let her draw blood if she wanted to bite me 🙈

we know that keefe can feel Sophie's pain. So period days must be an absolute nightmare for him lol. It does not help at all that Sophie would get all moody on her period, so keefe would feel the impact 10xx worse, since he's an emapth. Her emotions + his own emotions + cramps? Yeah no. This is keefe's period, not hers lol.

I can imagine sophie getting hit with a cramp and keefe would dramatically double over and clutch his stomach, groaning "Fosterr!! Get me a heating pad aswell, your period, is my period" and would probably ask Edaline for mallowmelts when she gets them for Sophie. I mean hey. He deserves them too for dealing w the pain and moods that aren't even originally his, right? He and Sophie would be cuddling on the couch, dramatically sobbing into each other's shoulders.

Also, i can totally see them both bickering w eachother, since Sophie's super mad making keefe mad which makes both of them mad. Resulting in a yelling match. Yup. I can continue yapping all day.

Biana would come over at this point to take care of both of them.

Riccardo's wife Aria (27 during Tugs and 30 post-canon) and his two children Carmen (10 post-canon) and Elio (8 post-canon)

Aria grew up in the same South Italian/Sicilian community as Riccardo (and Zorran and Zoa as well). She was known for her passion and high spirit as well as her artistic talents. Aria often designed her own clothes and her mothers then made them for her, something her mother then taught her. Unfortunately she was often met with scowl and jealousy from other children and even adults and could not make friends easily despite her likable personality. Not until she met Riccardo...

Aria met Riccardo, the local eccentric and quirky kid, when they were 13 and fell in love very quickly due to them getting along perfectly and their shared optimism and passion for cooking and the arts. They promised to open a restaurant together when they got married and the two did exactly that at the young age of 19. Only one year later their first daughter Carmen was born and they swore to raise her with nothing but love and compassion and doing the same for Elio when he was born.

The di Palma restaurant then relocated to Bigg City and Aria supported her husband in connecting with his lost older siblings while still emapthizing with the twins as she herself was never fond of their and Riccardo's father Camillo. After a rough and awkward time, Zorran and Zoa are ready to actually be a family with their little brother and Aria and Zoa became best friends as sister-in-laws and Carmen and Elio are very fond of their new uncle and aunt (much to Zorran's dismay as he does not like children).

I think the ideal thing would be Julian is working with Empath of his own free will but Emapth is keeping him in the dark about a lot of the details and you could easily say like Esme was the one killing the people while Julian was doing all theatrics of breaking trains. I also kind of hope this creates a bit of tension between David and Laura because I think he would be 100% against breaking Julian out of prison if you remember the Kevin situation from New X-men.

Ooh see, I would be onboard with this if Julian DIDN'T know people were being killed. But he's not that stupid, I do think him joining Empath of his own free will makes sense, but also that he's 100% being controlled when he's doing his terrorist activities. Like, Julian probably thinks he's just doing some property damage, and when the truth comes out I can imagine he'll be so devastated it either breaks him completely or makes him actually become the mask.

I didn't think about the potential for tension between David and Laura, you're right! These two didn't interact that much in NXM so I think it would definitely be fun to see here. With all this said though, and even though it's giving me a springboard to think of more ideas, the reality is the writers of NYX have yet to show any real prowess of getting any of these characters right.

The only scrap I'm holding onto is they chose Empath for a reason to be a villain, and I can only hope they use his powers in a way that keeps Julian on a trajectory. Otherwise we're gonna get writers in the future just use him as an out and out villain. :/ nobody wants that.

Plural Culture is haveing some TONE(S) OF VOICE as a severe triggers.

Hyper Empathic Autistic Plural Culture is hyperfixating on voice and language as a child so you don't get in trouble when you don't understand people's tone. To the point you understood it too well and created a trigger for yourself.

Tone-Triggered- Plural Culture is now having a low empathy Autistic partner system who will accidentally trigger you with their tone and having to delve DEEP into your truama to figure out how you learned tone but most of it just being (re-)traumatizing or emotion baced so you can't help them understand with it

Hyper empathy x Hypo Empathy partner system culture is finding it nearly impossible to take your ps at face value because of truama but also them finding it near impossible to understand you because you are collectively so emotion baced.

Tone-Triggered Plural Culture is DESPERATELY WISHING that you could just "get over" your tone truama, but not being able to, then wishing the autism community didn't harp so fully on wanting "nerotypicals" (I put Nerotypicals in "" bc istg the whole Autistic community forgets hyper emapth autistics exist, or that there are litterally other disorders that understand tone) to just "take them at their word" but rather for people to figure out a logical way to explain tone and it's importance because NO MATTER HOW LOW YOUR EMPATHY YOU STILL CONVAY ANGER AND IT CAN LITERALLY SEND PEOPLE INTO FULL BLOWN INTERNAL MELTDOWNS AND FLASHBACKS - but everyone is so FULLY CONVINCED that they just need to "get rid of tone" but that's not how it fucking works-

Just because you aren't aware of it doesn't mean that it just goes away.

i'm rereading legacy right now and i'm at the part where oralie is helping sophie with her enhancing, and i realized something. sophie says that her her enhancing is extra strong with telepaths and empaths and that got me thinking. yes keefe and fitz are an empath and a telepath respectfully, but who is also a empath? oralie. and shes sophie's mother. so what if sophie is subconsciously reacting to her parents abilities, like enhancing them more powerfully than other abilities. and we know that empaths and telepaths are more compatible with each other, so what if the black swan got two people with those abilities to have a base for an already strong child. also/or oralie says that she knew that enhancing had to rely on the same inner strength as empathy, and that it explains so much. forkman said that her enhancing was a natural ability that she was gonna get ,so maybe that's where she got her enhancing from, that inner strength that oralie mentioned. and because her mothers and empath, and her enhancing comes from the same inner strength emapths use, that could be why lord cassius said that her telepathy reminded her of an empath. she could be subconsciously using the inner strength the same way an empath uses it, without having that ability. also sophie thought that her parents ability could affect her and maybe she's right idk cuz oraile is an empath so maybe i'm on the right track maybe not.

Cryptid Requests/suggestions from my sister - that ended up disscussing the idea of one of her ocs being from an inflentual family that would give her access to such cryptids, let alone custom genetic modifications.

Genetically commissioned cryptids is a wild thought, but fits well to the narrative. The Institute has taken privatized funding for favors, regardless damages or consequences if the end justifies their means. I had a fun discussion with my sister, regarding one of her OC's. That She'd likely be from blue blood family that would likely have access and to resources regular uncanny humans do not. Thus giving her ridiculous privlages, because her parents have the means to flaunt their title and wealth, to buy special favours corrput orgnization, that are empowered to do anything aslong as they have the resources to do so. An of course she's their sweet, genuinly kind despite being spoiled princess. The sort of person whose family name gives her a bad wrap, but she's an emapth who loves and cares, but makes her an easy target for other to take advantage of. Her parents know this, could be why they are content have a Snallygaster imrpint on her. Or care that her best friend iis just a chill Monongy. Does the head of the science department approve, no - but the extra funds will help back other projects, and give them accesss to even greater resources, to help their main projects.

Maybe I'm taking it all too seriously, but I don't get all the negativity in the comments. There seems to be a lot of cringe around the term 'empath' and I don't understand why.

My understanding of 'empath', based on my own research and experience, is that an empath is just someone who is very sensitive to the emotions of others. Those emotions are soaked up like a sponge, can aid intuition, weigh down the empath, and can even override the emapth's own emotions.

It may or may not occur naturally as part of someone's individual differences or as something acquired from trauma or dealing with situations that necessitate walking on eggshells. Being an empath is neither inherently good or bad and can have pros and cons. Empathy is a spectrum. And an empath is just someone at one far extreme of that spectrum. There's nothing morally superior or inferior about being an empath and it's not something you choose to be.

This original post was clearly made as a warning to highly sensitive people to be careful about undergoing a similar negative experience as the op. If someone is already vulnerable to negative emotions and then chooses to increase that vulnerability by getting high, then maybe they should be careful about what media they consume. That's it. That's the intent of the post.

There's nothing wrong with being more or less sensitive to emotions (as long as you aren't hurting anyone of course).
