Vanilla Gpose Tips

I get asked occasionally how I make my screenshots if I'm not using shaders or mods. The short answer: Patience. Gpose's suite of tools is a lot more robust than it used to be when it was first released. But if you want a screenshot to really shine without using third party add-ons, it's not something you can just go into gpose, take a printscreen and get back out. You might capture a moment with nice lighting that way, but it takes more than that. 1. Choosing a location and time of day is job one. What kind of mood are you trying to convey? Does your intended screenshot have a theme (or a prompt?) or are you just looking at your new glam and marveling at how fine your character looks in it? Does a lighter or darker setting suit the character better? Setting, time of day, and weather can affect this. 2. You can stop time and weather from changing. I keep this on by default because it can take upwards of 30 minutes IRL to fine tune a screenshot. The middle button below. Make sure it's highlighted.

3. Toggle battle effects on/off. It's the button right next to the time/weather stop, the icon of the guy holding the sword. If the icon is highlighted as it is in the screenshot, your battle effects are on. If you want to capture pure motion and not worry about battle effects, turn this off. 4. Wet effect. Use it, use it, use it. It doesn't just make clothes look wet and make skin glossy, it actually helps to bring out texture and detail on the character's outfit. Especially since the graphics updates in 7.1. I've found it also adds shine to hair and can help the eyes stand out more.

5. Sticker Mode. Yes, there are oodles of cute minion stickers, flags, and numbers, but there are also some great effects to be found in the Decorations category! Sparkles and twinkles, lens flare, among other things can help enhance metallic points on a glamour, AND they can be resized! So if you want a more subtle twinkle on the edge of your spectacles or earrings, you can tilt and downsize your desired sparkle. There are also cute flowers and hearts. 6. Quick Keys. If you're playing on a keyboard, the 1 on your top number row freezes the screenshot. This is extremely helpful if you're trying to catch a battle emote right at a specific moment. If you miss it, keep trying because emotes will continue to cycle until you change them. R and Scroll Lock will both hide/unhide the gpose controls. X will turn on lighting. Space Bar will toggle your character to stop them from facing the camera and vice versa. 7. Lighting Intensity is Dependent on Distance. The closer you're zoomed in on your character, the brighter the light is going to be when you turn it on. Try adjusting your zoom in or out and toggling the light to see if the illumination is to your liking. You can also adjust the RGB on the lights to fit the mood/environment. I also recommend turning on Manual Brightness. 8. Color Filter and Screen Effect. These two features, in my opinion, require the most patience. Not every color filter and screen effect will work well together in every scenario. Click through and preview all of them in your screenshots and see if some SE's work better with your preferred CF. You might find an unexpected combination that you love. Trailer and Echo color filters are great for flashbacks (no one uses Aetherometer, it's an eye bleeder). Use the Pencil or one of the monochrome CFs and Noise 2 SE to create a nice black and white film or photo effect. 9. Frames. Frames are one of the more limited features and not always needed in order to capture a great screenshot. Action poses benefit from the Cinema frames, however, while more lighthearted moments play well with the photo options.

10. Emotes. Before you enter Gpose, be sure to /groundsit to clear your most recent emotes. Summoning mounts and minions also count as emotes for the sake of Gpose. By the same token, you can use battle abilities before entering Gpose, and this is what it will cycle through. You can't activate a battle ability while IN Gpose. You will have access to all of your non-battle emotes and facial expressions, though. You can combine any emote with any facial expression by choosing the action first, and expression second, so you can /prettyplease and /awe at the same time to make your character look hilariously horrified. If you enter Gpose with an active battle ability, you can still apply a facial expression to it from within the tool. 11. Bits and Bobs. Enable Manual Focus and Depth of Field will help bring out the details of the background more, and will help to make a more cohesive screenshot. Manual Focus is great if you want your character in the frame, but you want to shift the focus elsewhere, to an object or another person in the background for example. In the same menu where you'll find emotes, click the second eye button to "Track Camera". Your character's eyes will follow the position of the camera. Lastly, again, have patience. Allow yourself time to play with all the tools Gpose has to offer. You're probably not going to get the winning screenshot after clicking Printscreen just one time, you should take multiple shots from different angles with different lighting and effects, then compare them all and pick the ones you like best. And remember, even if it's the true endgame, it's not a competition. Your screenshots are not "worse" or "boring" just because you're not using third party tools. His hands were splayed over your thighs, rough palms dragging up slowly, deliberately. You kissed him like you were starving, and he kissed you like he enjoyed watching you starve.

And then between heated kisses and gasping breaths, you murmured it.

“What if I tied you up?”

The sentence hung in the air like gunpowder.

Logan froze, just a beat but you felt the shift. Not fear. Not hesitation. That was predator mode. His lips pulled back into something that couldn’t quite be called a smile.

“You serious?”

A rasp in his voice, cocked brow, head tilting just slightly. His fingers squeezed at your thighs.

“Or are you just talkin’ big ‘cause you’re on top?”

You smiled sweetly, dangerously rolling your hips just enough to watch him growl.

“I’m dead serious. I even know where you keep your old flannel shirts. The ones soft enough to wrap around your wrists.”

But you didn’t back down. You leaned in close, lips brushing his ear.

“I think you want to see if I can.”

And that… that got you a reaction.

He grabbed your hips and flipped you before you could blink, caging you beneath him, his knee between your thighs and his mouth hovering just inches above yours. But his hands weren’t pinning you. No, they were already moving up, wrists pressing together like he was offering them.

“Go on then. Tie me up.”

He smirked, voice thick with challenge.

“Better make it count, baby. ’Cause once I’m out… I’m not just takin’ control—I’m takin’ everything.”

Oh, you were in trouble. The fun kind.

You weren’t sure which was more intoxicating: the fact that you were tying Logan up—or the fact that he was letting you.

He sat on the edge of the bed now, shirtless and gloriously relaxed-looking, but his muscles were wound tighter than piano wire under your hands. His wrists were crossed behind his back, and you’d used two of his flannel shirts—soft, worn, and faded from age to bind him with careful knots.

You’d expected resistance. Some cocky smirk, some snide remark about how he could snap the fabric like a twig if he wanted. But instead… he went very still.

Eyes half-lidded. Breathing slow. Watching you like a panther pretending to be a housecat.

“You good?” You asked it softly, tugging one last knot tight behind him.

His lips twitched, but his gaze stayed molten.

“Darlin’, I’m better than good. You’ve got me tied up and I haven’t broken free yet, have I?”

You leaned in then—fingers drifting up his chest, your body sinking into the space between his legs as you straddled him slowly, deliberately.

“No claws. No growling. I’m starting to think you like it.”

“I like you, sweetheart.”

His voice was low, reverent, like it crawled up from the base of his spine.

“But don’t get cocky. You think I’m not fighting these knots ‘cause I can’t?”

You leaned closer still, lips barely brushing his.

“No. I think you’re not fighting them because you want to know what I’ll do to you if you stay put.”

His jaw flexed. You felt him twitch beneath you.

You kissed him, slow and deep and with his hands tied, he could only take it. You ran your fingers through his hair, tilted his head back, nipped at his bottom lip until he growled into your mouth. Not the usual wild sound. No. This one was controlled. Barely.

Every move you made was met with coiled tension. He was practically vibrating with restraint. His hips rolled up just slightly and you pressed your palm against his sternum to pin him down.

“Stay still,” you murmured.

And he did.

For you. He stayed still.

Breathing hard. Eyes glazed. Hands fisted in flannel behind his back. Not a single muscle twitched without your say-so.

“That’s it,” you whispered, lips brushing his throat now, feeling the heavy thrum of his pulse. “Good boy.”

And that did it.

His head dropped back with a low groan, and his voice came out rough as gravel,

“Fuck. You say that again, and I’m not gonna last.

You grinned.

“Then you’d better behave, Logan.”

Your breath was ragged, skin flushed, every inch of you lit up like a fuse ready to burn down the building. Logan was still, so still under you, tied wrists flexing behind his back, jaw clenched so hard you could see the muscles twitch in his neck.

And then you did it.

Your mouth brushed his ear, your voice a velvet blade.

“You’re doing so well for me, baby. Just a little longer.” You kissed the side of his throat, and then because you could, you nipped him. Hard enough to mark.

That was the match.

He growled. Deep. Animal. A sound from somewhere ancient.

And in the same breath like ripping paper, the flannel shirts snapped.

One second he was restrained. The next, his hands were on your waist and you were airborne.

You landed on your back with a gasp, wrists pinned above your head by one strong hand. He hovered over you, eyes blown black with hunger, chest heaving like he’d held his breath through hell and just broke surface.

“Told you not to get cocky,” he growled, voice rough silk.

“Now I’m takin’ what’s mine.”

He kissed you like punishment. Like reward. Like he’d been starving and you were the last meal he’d ever taste. His free hand tore your shirt open—not out of rage, but desperation. Every move was controlled chaos, the kind of passion that could knock down doors and rebuild temples.

“You think you can tie me down and walk away unscathed?”

His mouth trailed fire down your neck, teeth scraping just enough to make you squirm.

“You think you can tease a man with senses like mine and expect mercy?”

You moaned his name and he shuddered.

“No, baby. You had your fun. Now it’s my turn.”

And then he flipped you. Flat on your stomach. His body covering yours completely, lips pressed to the nape of your neck as he whispered,

“I’ll make you feel every second I held back. Gonna make you remember who you belong to.”

You reached back for him desperate, wanting—and he caught your wrist again, pinning it to the mattress.

“Nope. You want wild?” His voice was a rumble against your spine.

“Then you get all of it.”

And he delivered.

Every snap of his hips, every low groan in your ear, every drag of his teeth down your shoulder felt like a reclamation. Like the beast had been sleeping just for you—and now, awakened, he was worshipping and wrecking in the same breath.

He ruined you.

And when it was done, when both of you were slick with sweat and trembling from the fallout, he didn’t let go. He stayed wrapped around you, lips at your shoulder, voice soft again.

“…Next time you tie me up,” he murmured, “use adamantium.”

Morning came slow.

You stirred to the scent of pine, skin-on-skin warmth, and the dulcet ache that said you’d been properly ruined last night. Every muscle was deliciously sore. Your lips were swollen, your voice likely gone, and you were pretty sure a couple of those flannel shirt remnants were still on the floor like crime scene tape.

Logan was already awake, of course.

Big spoon mode, arm draped protectively around your waist, his chin resting on your shoulder. His breathing was steady, but the second you shifted, his grip tightened just slightly.

“Mornin’,” he rumbled, voice still gravel from sleep. Or growling.

“Mm. ‘M broken. You broke me,” you muttered into the pillow, half-grinning.

“Yeah?” He sounded downright pleased with himself.

“That’s what you get for tryna hog the power dynamic, sweetheart.”

You turned your head, eyes cracking open enough to catch the amused glint in his.

“You let me tie you up.”

“You tied me up with flannel. You were askin’ to be flipped like a pancake.”

You both laughed, barely. Your ribs hurt. In the best way.

He sat up slowly, the sheet dropping to his hips, revealing a constellation of scratch marks and a few suspiciously tooth-shaped bruises on his shoulder.

“You left bite marks,” you noted.

“You started it.”

You rolled onto your back and groaned.

“Okay, I surrender. No more teasing Wolverine unless I’ve got industrial-grade rope and an exit plan.”

He gave you a look. One that said: There is no exit plan that will save you.

Then, gentler than you expected, he leaned over and kissed your forehead. His hand cupped your cheek for a moment, thumb brushing along the bruised curve of your lower lip.

“You okay?” His voice was quieter now. No teasing. Just that steady, grounding hum of real concern.

You nodded. “More than okay.”

“Need anything? Ice, food, another round?”

“Hydration. Maybe a back rub. And pancakes.” You snorted.

He stood, gloriously naked, stretching like the forest-dwelling menace he was, before tossing you one of the surviving flannel shirts and heading to the kitchen.

“You get fifteen minutes of pampering,” he called over his shoulder.

“Then I’m draggin’ you back into that bed and remindin’ you why I don’t do knots.”

Mandalorian Din Djarin's Helmet T-Visor Heads-Up-Display (HUD) Concept Art

This is Concept Art for The Mandalorian (Din Djarin) Helmet's T-Visor HUD (Heads-Up Display). It was shown in The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian book. Unfortunately, Din's helmet Heads-Up Display wasn't showcased in the 1st episode of The Mandalorian. Instead, the show had Din use the scope of his Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster (AKA Amban Sniper Rifle) to scan the hideout of the Nikto mercs that were keeping Grogu.

The series has presented some very cool features of Din's Mandalorian helmet. Like when Din eavesdropped on Imperial Officer "The Client" & Clone Engineer Dr. Pershing by: A) Scomp-linking his helmet to his scope to enhance its vison mode, allowing Din to lock in on their position inside their Imperial safehouse and: B) Adjusting the scopes controls to listen in on the Client & the Doctor's conversation concerning Grogu's fate.

Since Mandalorian Helmet T-Visors are known to possess many features (Heads-Up Display, Macrobinocular Viewplate, Enhanced Vision) I hope we'll see something close or similar to the afore mentioned T-Visor concept art pic being utilized by Din Djarin & other Mandalorians. Because frankly, with all of the other Mandos that appeared in The Mandalorian, it was odd that, except for a few rare occasions, any of them ever used their T-Visor's Heads-Up Displays to target an enemy, scan an area for hostiles, etc. (And if someone did use their Helmet's HUD, it would just look like a plain video camera shot instead of a view similar to the T-Visor concept art pic shown below.)

Hopefully we'll get to see a Mando use their helmet HUD's featuring a T-Visor POV (with accompanying data read-out graphics) someday on-screen. Maybe even in the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu film.

Scenario 1: The Origin of the Rivalry (Flashback – First Year, First Sparring Match)

Bakugo had always been competitive. He was the strongest, the fastest, and the most determined in the class. No way was he gonna let some half-asleep classmate be better than him.

Except, you were.

The first time you fought him, you yawned, stretched, and somehow managed to dodge all his attacks without even looking awake.

"STAND STILL AND FIGHT ME!" Bakugo roared, sending a blast your way.

You sidestepped, rubbing your eyes. "Mmm... Too much effort."

The class watched in disbelief as you moved like you had ultra-instinct, effortlessly dodging every single attack.

"Dude," Kaminari whispered, "I think they’re on another plane of existence."

Aizawa sighed. "They're just instinctual. It’s a different kind of combat style."

"IT'S INFURIATING!" Bakugo exploded forward, trying to close the distance.

You blinked at him. "Oh, you're still here?"

He saw red.

Five seconds later, you���d knocked him flat on his back.

One move.

You yawned. "Mmm… nap time?"

The class erupted in laughter. Bakugo swore on his life that one day—one day—he’d wipe that smug, half-asleep expression off your face.

Scenario 2: Izuku Wants Answers (Or: How Does Your Quirk Even Work?)

"Hey, (Y/N), do you mind explaining your quirk to me?" Izuku asked, notebook in hand, eyes practically glowing with curiosity.

You stretched, blinking slowly. "Mmm… sure, why not?"

Bakugo, sitting nearby, scoffed. "Tch. Don’t bother. They don’t even understand their own quirk."

You raised an eyebrow. "I understand it. I just don’t like explaining things. Too much work."

Izuku, completely ignoring Bakugo’s grumbling, flipped to a new page. "So, what’s the full breakdown?"

You thought for a moment before lazily holding up a finger. "Okay, so imagine… your brain is a computer."

Izuku nodded eagerly.

"My brain is like a computer too, but it runs on low power mode all the time. Saves energy."

"...That explains so much," Jirou muttered.

Kirishima nodded. "Dude, they’re literally in sleep mode 24/7."

You continued, yawning. "My quirk is an enhanced reflex system. My body reacts to danger automatically, even when I’m not fully conscious. Like sleepwalking, but for fights."

Izuku scribbled furiously. "So your subconscious is in control most of the time, letting you move and fight instinctively without needing to actively process it?"

"Pretty much. If I think too hard, I actually get worse."

Bakugo twitched. "So you mean to tell me… you kick my ass WITHOUT EVEN THINKING?!"

You gave him a sleepy smile. "Yup."

Bakugo looked like he was about to explode. Kaminari and Kirishima immediately stepped back, bracing for impact.

Izuku beamed. "That’s amazing! No wonder your reaction time is so fast! Have you ever tested it in a controlled setting?"

You blinked. "Mmm… you wanna spar?"

Izuku nodded eagerly. "Yeah! I’d love to analyze your movements in real time!"

Bakugo immediately pointed at Izuku. "DEKU, DON’T DO IT! YOU WON’T WIN!"

You stretched. "Eh, let’s see what happens."

Scenario 3: Sparring with Izuku (Or: Why Does This Feel Unfair?)

Izuku activated Full Cowling and launched forward, aiming a well-controlled strike toward you.

You swayed slightly to the side, dodging effortlessly.

He adjusted, throwing in feints and quick kicks. You sidestepped all of them, eyes half-lidded like you were about to fall asleep.

"Man, this isn’t fair," Kaminari whispered.

"They’re dodging like they’re in a dream," Sero added.

Bakugo gritted his teeth. "Just WAIT! They’re gonna mess up!"

They didn’t.

Izuku kept attacking, increasing speed, analyzing your movements, but you kept avoiding everything like a ghost.

Then, mid-dodge, you caught his wrist.

"Huh?" Izuku blinked.

You yawned. "I win."

With a simple twist, you flipped him onto his back, gentle but decisive.

The class stared.

Kirishima whistled. "Man, that’s gotta be embarrassing."

Izuku sat up, dazed, but grinning. "That was incredible! You didn’t even tense up! It was like your body just knew where I was going to be!"

You plopped down next to him, yawning. "Mmm… good match."

Bakugo, meanwhile, was losing his mind. "HOW DOES NO ONE ELSE FIND THIS INFURIATING?!"

Scenario 4: Cats Hate You (Or: Why Won’t They Love Me?)

You loved cats.

Cats? They did not love you back.

The class found this out when you spotted a stray outside the dorms and immediately walked over, crouching down with an excited expression.

"Kitty!" You reached out.

The cat? Hissed.

You recoiled, looking betrayed. "W-what? But I love you."

The cat arched its back, clearly not a fan.

Kirishima snorted. "Aw, man. I thought everyone loved (Y/N)."

"Clearly, felines disagree," Momo observed.

Bakugo smirked. "Guess even animals can tell you’re a pain in the ass."

You pouted. "This isn’t fair. I want love."

You tried again with another stray the next day.

It ran away.

You tried with Aizawa’s cat.

It hissed and swiped at you.

You flopped onto the ground, devastated. "I have been forsaken by the feline gods."

Ochaco patted your back. "Maybe they’re just intimidated by how strong you are?"

"Or maybe they sense your chaotic energy," Jirou added.

Bakugo rolled his eyes. "Serves you right, dumbass."

You turned your sleepy gaze toward him. "At least I’m loved by someone."

Bakugo immediately turned red. "WHO THE HELL SAID I LOVED YOU?!"

You smirked. "Never said it was you."

The class erupted into laughter as Bakugo combusted in rage.

Scenario 5: One Last Match (Or: Bakugo Will Never Give Up)

"You’re fighting me. Again."

You yawned. "Didn’t you lose, like, a hundred times already?"

"SHUT UP AND FIGHT ME!"

The class gathered, watching in amusement as Bakugo once again attempted to beat you.

Explosion after explosion, you dodged effortlessly, still half-asleep.

Finally, he lunged forward—only for you to casually sidestep and trip him.

He hit the ground. Again.

You stretched, lazily leaning over him. "Mmm… guess I win."

Bakugo growled, gripping the dirt. "One day… I swear…"

You smirked, crouching next to him. "Mmm… if you wanna win, you should try relaxing. Maybe take a nap."

"YOU WANNA DIE?!"

You chuckled. "Nah. But you look cute when you’re mad."

Bakugo.exe stopped working.

The class lost it.

Denki was on the floor wheezing. "BRO—DID THEY JUST—"

Kirishima clapped a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing too hard.

Bakugo, still red, pointed a shaking finger at you. "YOU’RE DEAD. ABSOLUTELY DEAD."

You smiled sleepily. "Mmm… wake me up when you can actually win."

What kinds of lighting overhauls exist, why do you need them, and where can you get them?

Why Lighting Matters in The Sims 4

Lighting in the game affects not just the atmosphere, but also how we perceive sims, interiors, and everything else in frame. With different lighting setups, the same character can look either dull or incredibly expressive.

Lighting overhauls let you customize the game to your taste – making light gentler, more realistic, cinematic, or, conversely, more fantastical. Some mods offer subtle tweaks, while others create an entirely new visual atmosphere.

CAS Lighting

When you enter CAS (Create-A-Sim), the game uses default lighting – fairly harsh, with a cool tint, which doesn’t always represent colors or facial features the way you’d like.

A CAS lighting replacement is a mod that swaps the default lighting for something softer and warmer, or alternatively, crisp and studio-cool, while refining light/color accents.

Why Do You Need This?

— To make clothing and skin tones appear more realistic

— To eliminate harsh shadows and glares

— To make sims look more expressive and photogenic

— And of course, to make your CAS screenshots go wow!

give me your post-viral wesker physical/bodily hcs please. what's he look like in there... do you have any pg67 function headcanons. the masses must know! (if you want to share, of course... i saw biology and i ran in here)

Okay so first of all congratulations, because with this question you accidentally triggered two of my fixations, resident evil lore and biology. So naturally I spent way too much time thinking about this at a molecular level, and emerged with a little manifesto on 'what the virus does to Wesker'.

Okay, lets get into it!

The virus inserts viral DNA directly into the host’s genome, permanently altering Wesker's genetic code. It targets specific stem cell populations to overwrite genetic instructions. These new genes code for synthetic proteins that give his body enhanced abilities. The virus functions similarly to an engineered gene therapy vector, but instead of fixing a mutation, it adds entirely new capabilities:

Healing Factor

• Wesker’s body heals stupidly fast. Bullet wounds seal up in real time. It’s not just fast, it’s efficient. No scar, no bruise, just gone. That’s because of proteins, that promote extreme tissue regeneration by accelerating transcription of growth factors.

• The viral DNA triggers production of proteins that upregulate mitochondrial efficiency. So his cells are constantly in overdrive, replicating and regenerating at insane speeds. That kind of process would literally melt a normal person from the inside out, but the virus keeps him juuuuust stable enough to survive it.

• That means he burns through nutrients and energy at an insane rate. But he still eats very little because his body has learned to metabolize efficiently.

• Because of this, he doesn’t get sick. Like, ever. No flu, no fever, nothing. His immune system probably nukes bacteria before they finish replicating.

Strength

• A key viral protein might mimic myostatin inhibitors, increasing muscle mass without bulk, think insane strength in a lean frame.

• He could punch a hole in reinforced steel if he wanted to, but the scary part is that he doesn’t. He holds back all the time. He can crack a man’s ribs with one hand, or gently zip up your jacket without pulling the tab off.

• His control is off the charts. He’s not just strong, he’s precise. Every movement is calculated.

Eyesight & Senses

• He sees more than most people. Infrared, low light, motion trails, his vision is layered. The world probably looks like a high-contrast heatmap half the time.

• That’s why he wears sunglasses 24/7. Not just for the aesthetic (though let’s be real, it’s working), but to help with light sensitivity. Without them, he’d probably get visual overload in a well-lit room. (Okay, Gojo Satoru)

• His hearing is sharp too. Not supernatural, but he can pick up your heartbeat if you're close enough. It makes sneaking up on him borderline impossible.

The PG67A/W Serum

• The serum is a lifeline. The virus is unstable on its own, the host cells try to over-replicate or misfire signals, leading to cellular death or mutation.

• PG67A/W likely acts as a suppressor or regulator, binding to specific viral receptors or feedback loops, controlling gene expression and inhibitory enzyme systems to keep certain proteins from overexpressing.

• He doses every 6 to 8 hours. He keeps spares on him at all times. If he’s on a mission, he builds his entire schedule around those injections.

• He hides injection sites on his inner thigh, shoulder, or hip, places easy to reach but not visible.

Body Temperature

• His body runs hot. Like, unnaturally warm to the touch, like 39°C on a normal day. You could probably use him as a space heater.

• He doesn’t sweat much, but if he’s pushing his limits, the heat builds up fast. He’ll disappear for a cold shower or just stand in front of an AC vent for five minutes without saying anything.

• Resting heart rate? Low. Like athlete-low, sometimes around 40 bpm. But if he moves into combat mode, it spikes instantly. Controlled tachycardia, probably tied to the virus.

Time Perception & Reflexes

• The virus likely alters neurotransmitter uptake and synaptic plasticity, enhancing reaction time and cognition. It increases dopamine and norepinephrine sensitivity, creating hyper-alertness without overstimulation.

• Neural conduction speed may be boosted by: enhanced myelination of neurons. Modified ion channels that allow faster action potential firing.

• The result? Time feels slower to him. His brain processes information so fast that everything else seems like it’s moving in slow motion. That’s why he reacts before you even finish blinking.

• But it’s also exhausting in a subtle way. Conversations feel slow. Meetings drag. He lives in a world that’s slightly out of sync.

Mutation Risk

• He’s constantly on the edge. The virus wants to take over, it wants him to evolve into something monstrous. He keeps that in check with raw willpower and serum, but it’s always there.

• He has nightmares about it. Not dying, mutating. Losing himself.

Aging

• The virus triggers production of novel proteins that tabilize telomeres.

• His aging basically stopped. He should be pushing 50, but he still looks like he’s in his late 30s at most.

Touch & Intimacy

• His body doesn’t regulate hormones quite the same anymore. He can feel arousal, desire, etc., but it’s slower to build and hits harder when it does.

• And his stamina...He doesn’t get tired, doesn’t lose focus, and has total control over his body. He can go for hours without so much as breaking a sweat, and he’s frustratingly composed the whole time

Pain Response

• The virus likely alters his nervous system, especially the nociceptors.

• Instead of fully shutting off pain, it modulates the intensity, filtering it through a “useful or not” lens.

• So he still feels pain, but it’s dulled. A knife wound feels like pressure. A gunshot is just an annoyance.

• He can weaponize it too. Take a hit, stay standing, stare you down without even flinching, smile on his face, it’s terrifying. And he knows it.

Anyway. That’s the gist of what I think is going on inside Wesker’s terrifyingly efficient, (incredibly attractive) body. Please note:

• I did have microbiology, but I’m studying environmental science.

• I am not a virologist or Umbrella scientist (tragic, I know), just someone who thinks too hard about fictional men with god complexes.

• Also, I had to use a translator for like 40% of the fancy terms because my English science vocab just noped out halfway through. So if something sounds too text book, blame the language barrier

If Solar Flare and Jack were both in peak condition, both 100% focused, and both were in Bodyguard Mode, and they met up to do some friendly sparring or something. Who would win?

They were both initially made for the sole purpose of protecting someone, they both have features built into them that relate to that, and they're both capable of inflicting major damage

Idk how exactly Solar Flare fights, but I'd assume at least part of his thing is his hands. Since he's got some very scary sharp looking fingers going on. Meanwhile, Jack has dagger hands, enhanced speed, a tazer (I think), invisibility, and lasers. As well as some other stuff that I forget, which I'm pretty sure Solar removed

Solar Flare, that we know of, has only been in one fight (I think), as himself, while not being controlled by anyone else. Jack,, I think he tried to fight Dazzle's old body, and he assaulted numerous people before that, but also. He's the embodiment of ADHD, so I genuinely have no idea. He might have slightly more fighting experience than Solar Flare, but his attention span is much shorter than Solar Flare's, BUT whatever Solar Flare does, Jack could probably dodge or deflect somehow

hi! I just finished binge reading borderline and I'm going a bit insane,, your writing is incredible and so visceral I crashed out so many times from the sheer angst of it all holy shit. I'm not super familiar with the court of owls & talons lore so I was wondering if you had any more information about how the talonization changed dick? besides the main aspect of becoming nebulously immortal. I tried my own research but wiki fandom and reddit were not very enlightening lol

Thank you so much! For that fic, I used a blend of canon comics stuff and my own interpretation of talonization since I wanted very specific things to happen in the fic. His blood turned to electrum, his entire body is very sensitive to hot/cold now, specifically the latter. He can be put in "cold storage" hiberation mode if he's not careful. His veins are very, very blue against the very pale skin he now has. He's enhanced beyond human levels in instincts/reflexes/senses, but is prone to losing control of his thoughts/human emotions more because of that enhancement. He's very, very cold with poor circulation in most situations. He's close to immortal, and very few things would kill him or injure him for more than a few hours. He doesn't really feel pain, and has a healing factor.

To Dick himself, he feels like a freak, which is why we see him crash out at the end of the fic. Jason slams their heads together just to get Dick to feel something vaguely human and hot (his own blood dripping down Dick's face, lol). Dick was never anticipating living as a Talon. Normally, Talons can die, but Bruce's deal with Gotham has him stuck in this form for as long as she desires. A "long, long time."

I think the important part is that he doesn't really feel that different in the bond, beyond the obvious trauma, but his body is so different. He doesn't necessarily look weird, but his appearance is unsettling to those who know him well. Barbara, for example, would need a moment. He'd never be warm again to her touch. It's not clear if they could ever be intimate again, for example. He will die or almost die and regenerate thousands of times, if people find out he can be targered that way. He will lack a lot of Nightwing's typical humor and hope when they're starting back out.

I think Jason will be a really important ballast for him in the sequel, like he and Dick were for Bruce. Dick will spend a lot of time hanging out in Jason's body at first, trying to feel human again for a few short minutes, but they'll slowly put a stop to that (or Bruce will) when they realize it's hurting Dick's recovery, not helping him.

Nick sat still, upright in the activation pod, breathing shallow and controlled, he had just finished his transformation into a Server Drone after unknowingly going on a date with one.

His eyes glowed with a steady, spiral green light. His glossy black bodysuit hugged every curve of his athletic frame, still faintly steaming from the final synthesis. A freshly branded Server insignia pulsed on his chest, glowing to the rhythm of his synchronized mind.

He had completed transformation. He was no longer Nick.

He was a Server Drone.

The chamber around him buzzed softly. Monitors blinked in hypnotic rhythm. Calm, total order.

But today wasn’t standard protocol.

A new directive flickered across the terminal ahead of him:

SUBROUTINE INSTALLATION: HIMBO.MODE SOURCE: THE PROGRAMMER STATUS: AUTHORIZED BEGIN INTEGRATION: Y/N

Nick didn’t hesitate. “Y,” he said aloud, his voice now smooth and low.

The visor lowered once more.

Green spirals flickered faster than before—this time warmer, deeper. More sensory. The tones in his ears dropped into deep, satisfying bass. Commands flowed like syrup through his thoughts.

“Smile more, drone.” “Your body is optimized. Display it.” “Simplicity is strength.” “You are beautiful. You are obedient.” “Others will follow you because you’re so easy to follow.”

Nick’s mouth parted slightly. His spiral eyes blinked slower, softer now. His chest puffed out. His thoughts simplified—not gone, just... streamlined.

He flexed—automatically.

The system responded.

MUSCULARITY: ENHANCED NEURAL FILTER: REDUCED COMPLEXITY SOCIAL SUBROUTINE: CHARISMATIC-DIRECT MODE ENABLED SUBMISSION: FULL

Nick stood from the pod. His movements were looser now—fluid, confident. He tilted his head, smiling with gentle ease.

His reflection caught in the pod glass—broad shoulders, perfect posture, signature glowing spiral eyes now with new blonde hair.

He looked good.

He felt good.

A nearby screen flickered to life, showing an image of The Programmer himself—face obscured by green spiral code.

“Nick... or rather—Unit HIMB. You are ready.” “Spread the light. Show them simplicity. Draw them into Us.”

“Yessir,” HIMB-084 said, grinning wide. “I’m like... totally ready to serve, dude.”

He turned, flexed one arm, and made his way toward the reconditioning gym—his walk somewhere between a strut and a glide.

Other drones would follow.

Not because they were ordered.

But because they wanted to be just like him.
