pure! sydney is intrigued. "is this what you needed help with?" he chuckles softly, his golden eyes are so warm, so honey-sweet. you want to drink him, have him melt onto your tongue like communion. when you tug on his chest harness to take his bottom lip between your teeth, he mewls against your mouth.

corrupt! sydney is ecstatic. "beloved," he purrs, his limbs ensared by the rope you carefully wove around him. a bead of drool glistens in the corner of his mouth as the vibrator hums inside of him. "why don't you come a little closer?" his tongue, wet and pink, traces his lips. there's hunger in his eyes. "it's been too long since i've tasted you."

whitney fights you. "fucking freak," he spits, struggling to free himself. you knew he would be difficult and you certainly have a few more bruises. and yet, you can't help but admit that he looks so cute all helpless like that, fury twisting his flushed face. his protests quiet once you take him into your mouth, his snarls turning into nothing more than breathy huffs.

there's a glazed look in kylar's eyes. "m-my love?" he stutters, straining against the rope constricting his arms. tears begin to well in his eyes. you are so far. too far. can't you see that he needs you? why can't you hold him? it's only when you straddle him and take him inside that he finds his breath, planting desperate kisses along your chest as you fuck him into a whimpering mess.

"you thought this would work?" eden scoffs, breaking free with ease. he's on you before you can even realize it, tying your wrists to the bedpost with the practiced grace of years of trapping prey. his breath is hot on your neck, his teeth sharp. "it'll take a lot more than that to keep me from you," he growls, taking ahold of your hips before thrusting into you.

robin laughs. "i didn't know you were into this stuff," he says. you trail your fingers along his skin, grazing the knots across his chest. his breath hitches as you reach between his thighs, his length twitching against the warmth of your palm. he licks his lips, nervous. a blush spreads across his face. "you'll be gentle with me...right?"

"you think that can bind me?" the wraith croons curiously, the rope phasing through him. a cool tentacle wraps around you, pulling you into his embrace. fingers slip under your shirt as his tendrils caress your thighs. they sink into you while a pair of luminescent eyes train on you, amused. his gaze is depthless and full of a desire you cannot begin to fathom. the tentacle curls within you, making you moan against his neck. "we are already bound, droplet."

I think many people take the whole 'Darcy had not looked at Elizabeth properly before insulting her' as canon because it helps to explain what happens later. After all, Darcy finding Elizabeth too ordinary for a dance, and then later doing a complete 180 in a short space of time is absolutely non beliavable, imo

I suppose this is a response to this post about the 'tolerable' comment and why people seek to defend it. Not sure if you're agreeing that Darcy had not really looked at Elizabeth before insulting her (which is debatable, it could be argued as a snap judgment though even that would not excuse him) but regardless, Darcy not immediately being attracted to Elizabeth and subsequently changing his mind is evident in canon.

In isolation, you could say that Darcy's insult at the Meryton assembly was more of a snide remark about not wishing to elevate Elizabeth in the social pecking order rather than a lack of attraction on Darcy's part. However, the text tells us otherwise.

So, while I do think how he can make such a comment and still end up 'bewitched' by her is partly explained by the fact that Darcy hadn't actually looked at Elizabeth properly, and his overarching emotion at that moment was a refusal to have his pride hurt by being seen to be dancing with a plain country lady, who simple country gentlemen (far less illustrious personages than Darcy!) have already snubbed... combined with a snobbish belief that if he did dance with Elizabeth, it would be the most consequential thing that had ever happened to her and she would always be known in Meryton as the lady who danced with Mr Darcy (and we know he could not have been more wrong about Elizabeth, which makes it all the more satisfying)... there is more to it than that.

Darcy admits that he wasn't initially attracted to Elizabeth himself. I tend to believe this is credible, as though Mr Darcy does not always state exactly how he feels, it's reported by another and he does not refute it.

The evidence for this lack of initial attraction is not solely due to his comment at the Meryton assembly. It's found much later in Chapter 45, though evidently reporting on events shortly after the Meryton assembly, when Caroline says:

'... I remember, when we first knew her in Hertfordshire, how amazed we all were to find that she was a reputed beauty; and I particularly recollect your saying one night, after they had been dining at Netherfield, "She a beauty!—I should as soon call her mother a wit." But afterwards she seemed to improve on you, and I believe you thought her rather pretty at one time.' 'Yes,' replied Darcy, who could contain himself no longer, 'but that was only when I first saw her, for it is many months since I have considered her as one of the handsomest women of my acquaintance.'

So we have an account from Caroline of Darcy making a joke about Elizabeth's looks and Mr Bennet's lack of decorum, and Darcy seemingly admitting that he indeed did not think much of Elizabeth at first.

Now, I would say that could be excused away as a joke at Mrs Bennet's expense if it had occurred perhaps immediately after the Meryton assembly... but this is clearly after at least a second meeting, which we know happens, as Elizabeth tells Charlotte during the party at Lucas Lodge in Chapter 6 that Jane and Bingley have met 'tolerably often,' that Jane 'saw him one morning at his own house, and has since dined with him in company four times, and expands that they have spent 'four evenings' together which 'have enabled them to ascertain that they both like Vingt-un better than Commerce.' We can assume that Elizabeth and Darcy would also have been present on these evenings.

The joke also is unlikely to have occured Elizabeth stayed at Netherfield and dined with them during Jane's illness, as Darcy had already admitted that appreciated Elizabeth's 'pair of fine eyes' and called her pretty to Caroline, and he did seem to be making more effort with her then (by his abysmal standards).

So, I think it's pretty clear that Darcy indeed didn't think much of Elizabeth initially in regard to her looks. Which I suppose is no great shock, given that Darcy will have been exposed to the crème de la crème in London. But it further demonstrates how dazzling Elizabeth's personality was that she stood out to him. Also, it's no reflection whatsoever on Elizabeth that she didn't stand out at first, because a) Darcy is a snob who finds a reason to dislike almost everyone and b) Darcy would have been used to seeing far wealthier women dressed in the latest fashion trends, with access to better materials than Elizabeth would have been able to obtain from Meryton. So even though he doesn't seem particularly fond of women that try too hard (in his mind) he's still a snob who has a certain notion of how ladies should dress.

The exchange I cited where Darcy finally stands up to Caroline regarding Elizabeth illustrates not just his changing attraction towards Elizabeth, but also it demonstrates his growth as a person as he would've joined in with Caroline's remarks months ago but now he is disgusted by her behaviour. It's one of the many ways, in my opinion, that Jane Austen did an exceptional job of selling his redemption. She did not making him so irredeemable that it is impossible to root for him and think him unworthy of Elizabeth. Both of them were flawed and had to grow as people.

Personally I actually adore that Elizabeth and Darcy were not instantly drawn to each other, (though, of course, not at all how Darcy went about expressing it) as to me it shows it wasn't merely lust at first sight, they both had to work through some things. Plus, given their obstinacy, such a courtship seems, to me, the natural way both Darcy and Elizabeth would have chosen their spouses and ultimately, it also feels like the kind of relationship that you really believe will last. They know each other's flaws and they still love each other regardless. Very romantic and believable, to me!

On impulse, I've decided to draw my (current) line-up of FL PCs as cameos with their respective Ambition color palettes! Was thinking of ways to eventually do introduction/master posts for them and decided these would be nice visuals to go along with those (eventually-)

Please tell us more about the demon lords in Aurora? Are they all alive and/or reincarnated? Do they have scars like beelzemon? Can you rank the demon lords from 1st place to 7th in madness(whos crazier because of the dark area's influence)Are they all sealed in the dark area or did they escape/broke out? Who is the leader?(In some stories Lucemon has been neutral, or Daemon and Barbamon are fighting for the leader position so they're kinda both in charge, etc)

So in short - they're the seven fallen of the ten Celestials that Huanglongmon created - the first Digimon, meant to be guardians of the nascent Digital World, a duty they carried out faithfully for thousands of years.

Most of them had different names back then, too.

Lucemon was the first one that came across what turned out to be a tiny tear in the dimensional fabric, leading to the Dark Area. After a series of events, him and the other six eventually got affected by it and turned on their creator and remaining brethren. The conflict that ensued had them nearly destroy the Digital World, but they were stopped by Huanglongmon who seemingly sacrificed themselves to close the massive rift that was engulfing the world, and banished the traitors to the Dark Area before sealing it off.

Decades turned to centuries, the Digital World healed and moved on, still watched over by the remaining two Celestials (Seraphimon and Cherubimon ) for a while, and the order of the Royal Knights. Events of the past turned into myth and legend, but all that time the fallen were slumbering in the Dark Area. A millennium later, the Rift was opened again - by humans.

They are very powerful entities, hence why they never got fully consumed by the Dark Area - they were able to not only survive in there for so long, but also created whole separate bubble dimensions around them in their slumber that they're in full control of - what humans would of course refer to as "circles of Hell" later on. As time went by, however, it did affect their bodies as well as minds, slowly warping their forms into something completely different. They are not fully stable as a result of being affected by the Area's energies for so long, and some of them consume energy from living beings to maintain their more angelic forms and to not decay, while others show permanent damage to their bodies, like Caedemon and his further evolutions when not in "energy-conserving" Child form.

And while no Digimon could ever fully control or understand the Dark Area and its chaotic energies, the Demon Lords, in a way, became part of it. What made them so dangerous wasn't just the pure power they possess when it comes to combat or damage they can do, but their connection to the Dark Area - they could open rifts and let the other dimension spill into the world, use its energy to corrupt both Digimon and humans, as well as whole locations, to name a few. Though different in power, any of them could bring about the end of both worlds if they really wanted to by unleashing the Dark Area upon them.

When Caedemon's data was analyzed, it showed that his Digicore had pretty much the same energy readings as those from the Dark Area.

Without going into too much detail here - they are also connected to the human world via the Dark Area, as that dimension serves as a sort of ( very bad ) crossroads for various other places. That is why they are associated with the concept of the Deadly Sins and embody those.

They are also able to influence humans in many ways similar to how theological demons do, and all of them exhibit an ability where they're able to tell when a human has truly bad intentions and desires.

None of them were affected by the Dark Area to the point of being "crazy", they have somewhat different opinions ( though none of them are good ) on mankind and Digimon, and a complex relationship with humans. They're ancient beings, cunning, experienced and wise in their own ways, and generally selfish. What paths they chose to follow in the end was fully their choices alone.

In the past, Lucemon was the de facto leader of the Celestials, but as they are now, none of them obey anyone, willingly at least.

At the time when the story takes place, some of them are still sealed and sleeping, while others were awakened. Lucemon and Barbamon, to name a few of those that eventually break out of the Dark Area.

They're not even the worst thing that can come out of that dimension, as everyone found out later lol.

For Christmas, I put together a Fallen London/Light Fingers themed gift box for my friend @anannoyanceofjackofsmiles. So I figured I'd show everyone here what I put together since I think you guys might get a kick out of it.

While out shopping for craft supplies I picked up a "decorative mushroom" (a mushroom ornament) and a "handful of echoes." (chocolate coins)

Stained some paper with tea and wrote two notes. One from myself and one from Poor Edward. Please excuse my poor handwriting, calligraphy is not one of my skills.

Two polymer clay hearts in a jar, based off one of the gifts Poor Edward sends the player.

Fun fact, this was going to actually be a snow globe, but the jar's lid doesn't contain the water, and I was advised against mailing anything liquid regardless. Soooo I'm just sending two sculpted hearts to my friend. Thankfully he gets it.

And then I had some leftover red clay, so I made a necklace of Poor Edward's mask, along with a coffin box made out of cardboard, duct tape, and black paint to hold it. The mask looks a little scuffed I'll admit, sculpting is also not one of my talents.

Finally, it all gets packed into a box I stole from my old workplace with some paper to keep everything safe, and it gets sent to my beloved friend.

By the time this post goes up he'll have already gotten the gift, so if you're seeing this it means he liked it!
