Why do you have characters in a romance game that don’t feel romance, that defeats the whole purpose of a romance game. Why would I want to love someone that I know doesn’t actually feel love??

Over the past day or so, we've received a number of asks on the subject of Robin and Keagan (but mostly Keagan's) aromanticism. As you can see, some of these asks may be good-faith inquiries about the differences between the romantic and platonic routes for these particular characters. Others are very obvious attempts to make us walk back Keagan's demiromantic identity (which will not happen), or are otherwise just trying to give us grief for including arospec characters to begin with. We suspect, given the *timing and repetitive phrasing of the asks, that these are all coming from one person, but since the asks are anonymous, we cannot confirm this. Nevertheless, we have decided to share them with our followers, because going forward, we are going to be increasingly selective with the variety of asks that we respond to in order to limit possible "discourse bait," i.e. questions designed to argue with us rather than allow us to explain our thought process or artistic goals. Inevitably, this may mean that well-meaning but tonally ambiguous questions are not answered out of an abundance of caution, which could prompt genuinely good-faith askers to assume we're avoiding tough questions. This is not our goal, but ultimately, this is not a discourse blog. We're independent artists creating a story that we want to tell, first and foremost. If a decision we make ultimately results in you not wanting to support our game, then you are free to take your leave.

I'm curious what makes you think Susie is going to be the villain? I feel that would be reductive to her character ultimately but I'm curious about what your thoughts are

i think you're misunderstanding my point. "villain" in the sense of it as a role in the prophecy. someone who opposes how things should be. the natural order. the story. dark heroes "carry out fate with the blade". she is the dragon, as gerson calls her (non coincidentally, he informs us that the heroes stop the dragon in the first book of lord of the hammer) and gerson himself questions in multiple places whether the role of "hero" should be taken for granted as good.

the prophecy IS a form of violence within the game. for a kid who suffered systemic neglect and abuse all her life like susie, who nevertheless is so determined to love her friends and change things for the better, it's no wonder she's seen as a threat.

Hi, what's the latest situation re: release dates?

We're gunning for a fall release for Shae and Maeve pt. 2, but we plan on having a side story/feature update out before then! This is later than we had hoped for re: Shae and Maeve, but to be completely honest, the current political climate has our half-U.S., half-Canadian team...stressed! To put it mildly.

Nevertheless: Our priority right now is nose-to-the-grindstone working on content for the upcoming release(s), which is why our blog/other social media has been quieter lately. We're still here! Surviving. But between the aforementioned and normal day-to-day life, we find it easier to be productive by focusing on the essentials, i.e. the game itself.

You probably mean my current main characters, Vasco (the golden floppy-eared dog) and Machete (the pointy white dog). They're a couple living in the late 16th century Italy, at the very end of the Renaissance era. Vasco comes from a wealthy noble background and has a career in politics. Machete is a catholic cardinal, and as a secretary of state he oversees Vatican's foreign politics. Due to their surroundings they have to keep their relationship strictly secret.

Vasco originates in and lives in Florence. Machete is originally from Sicily and lives in Rome. They first met in their late teens/early adulthood when they were both studying in Venice. They were best friends before their feelings deepened, but eventually they had to separate. Machete graduated and was ordained a priest as intended. Vasco dropped out and returned home, where his family pressured him into wedlock. He ended up in a lavender marriage with a lesbian noblewoman named Ludovica (the red and white spaniel), she also has her own partner (still unnamed). Vasco and Ludovica are close friends, they get along well and cover each others' backs, but their union is purely platonic.

Machete and Vasco reunited in their early thirties by random chance, largely because they both work in foreign relations, and quickly resumed where they left off. They don't live together and can only see each other intermittently. Usually it's Vasco who visits Machete in Rome under the guise of working as a Florentine ambassador, but sometimes Machete manages to find an excuse to travel to see Vasco as well. They stay together for over a decade, meeting in secret and maintaining regular correspondence when their duties keep them apart (and quietly come to regard each other as their spouse), until Machete gets assassinated in his early/mid fourties. Vasco lives to his seventies and dies of old age.

They also have a modern au, which works as a sort of a reincarnation situation. They get to be a couple openly, get married eventually and grow old together.

So few weeks back I decided to sign up for this iken web only event…like just three weeks before the event itself hoo boy I tot I had enough time for a few illust but I went to sg for yoasobi concert and work got pretty busy suddenly so I was only done like midnight before the event LOL, good experience tho! Hi Shuu!! ✨🐿 What a fun question!! I never really sat down to think about what Mayu'd wear outside of the NRC uniform, so I spent a couple days browsing and selecting clothes on several sites (hence me taking so long to answer this 😭) and came up with a few outfits ⬇

I think she generally gravitates towards comfy and practical styles! In addition to the stuff I drew above, she also likes big jackets and cardigans - kinda very "girl next door" vibes? Berets and capes also look really cute on her imo, you can see it on her chibi in this post. I really need to draw it some time, but if she could fully customize the NRC uniform she'd totally add a cape to it ww

In terms of accessories, she doesn't really wear them often! Maybe the occasional bracelet or necklace if it matches the outfit (or hair accessory if she styles her hair), but usually she doesn't have any.

so they all noticed that ody didn't age at first. everyone was getting older and he just... wasn't. and trying to find answers for that lead him to turn back to athena, in which they both ended up trying to figure it out which all but led them to the very fates themselves having to tell odysseus that his thread of life could not be cut anymore

he does still have red blood- but while all the gods/other immortals have their threads glow golden like ichor, odysseus's thread turns from his usual red to the bright red glow the rings around his eyes get.

Oh yes, his name is Tobias. Tobias Felix, actually, because he's lucky, you see.

Graves is called Malcolm Graves, by the way, and for my money "Felix and Graves" sounds EXACTLY like an 80s syndicated TV show about two men solving/committing crimes in increasingly contrived and weird ways.

Kinda show that gets a brief late-2000s revival that all the fans agree was terrible, until it gets rebooted in the 2020s and everyone complains how it got Marvel-ified and the 2000s series had REAL heart and remember how they used to use actual physical props and practical effects? It was a better time. It has 197.000 slashfics on Ao3, half of which are weird crackfics shipping the original actors and late 2000s actors together in various configurations.

Anyway, yeah, Tobias Felix. Twisted Fate is basically his stage name.
