Currently agonizing over the timeline of the first few days of the outbreak for another What-If oneshot. How many days had passed since the start of it when Lee was being transported to prison? How long was he unconscious for after the crash? If anyone has their own thoughts on the subject, I'd welcome the input.
#the walking dead game#twdg#twdg lee everett#figuring this out would actually change the oneshot quite a bit#was it only just starting when the crash happened?#if it was then was sandra still alive at the time of the crash?#though that in turn would necessitate that in canon lee was unconscious for multiple days since clem says sandra has been dead for that lon#i'm thinking this over more than i ever did a university paper#the officer driving lee seems to have no idea anything is wrong#which would imply it's only just starting#yet when lee wakes up everything has completely fallen apart#which wouldn't make sense if it was the beginning and lee was only out for a few hours#lee would've had to been out for much longer than that#yet we also see helicopter and vehicles moving towards atlanta#meaning the authorities WERE aware that something was going on#you starting to see why this is so confusing?

Idk if you do small oneshots if not I'm sorry
But ever since I saw the a human ended on Cybertron with Megatronus I've been screaming internally by how adorable it was, could you do a small Megatronus x human story where the little human sneaked out and when it came back it was all full of mud and so Megatronus gave them a bath like he does in the "what if a human ended in Cybertron"
hello yes i am happy to do one shot. hope you will enjoy it.
Little heaven

This is not right. You are not supposed to be here at all. stifling your scream, you jumped out of the way of huge bot, who did not even noticed you, continuing on it’s way while chuting with another bot. You then had to quickly gather your self as to not get stomped to death by another bot, rushing towards the gutters, not caring if you gonna find your self among trash and mud. You stutter a bit, feeling gag coming up and started coughing. How did all come to this?
Well you used to live a peaceful life on earth – working, having your own rented apartment, hell you were even going for promotion until you wee suddenly kidnapped by huge bug like creatures, who kept you for experiments, which were not pretty. One day you managed to escape the ship, only to run in to battlefield between your captors and huge fucking robots. You had to run for cover with all your might, trying not to scream as explosion rung all around you and ground shook. Finally running behind a huge rock, you sight with relief for a moment, looking up and trying to figure out your next step while your heartbeat echoed in your head. It did not last long as one of the biggest bots suddenly took cover behind the same rock and looked down, notisisng you.
Megatronus had to take cover, the fire was to much to take and he need to come up with some kind of tactic, diving for cover behind one of many metal rocks, taking a break for a second until he noticed movement in the corner of his optic. Quickly looking down, expecting a grenade only to find some strange small creature, cowering before his presence. It looked like it was made out of the same thing like Quintessons, but instead this little one did not had metal plating. N fact you looked like nothing like Quintessons, more like a cybertronion in fact. Just made out of flash and with strange things on your head. He had no time to think as an actual grenade landed next to you and quickly grabbed you, surprised for a moment just how small you are and returned the grenade to sender. When all was over and Quintessons ran, he let a sigh of relief, letting his shoulders slump with ease and focus on you, still on his fist pressed against his chest. Slowly pulling his servo away from his chest and unwrapped it, he saw that the strange thing was still alright, just scream and cowering in his hand, not bigger then his digits. Cocking his helm a bit, he nudged you with one of his digits, feeling your soft flesh give in and you whimper from suden touch. He looked up alerting others and changed the grip on you, piking you up by scarf of your clothes, showing you off to others. And with that your fate was sealed. You were brought to place, quickly figure out that those who took you in was some kind of royalty, living in a very-very big place with gold and other luxury. Out of 13 strange robots he seemed to be the tallest and the meanest, well at least when in publick, in privet you found out he was quite soft, choosing to shower you in affection, tenderness and “love”. You felt like some kind of chihuahua dog to be honest, a candy eye or something like his. All your communication attempts were discarded like gibberish and intelligible, though you did learn how to repeat his name in rough ways, but it was now shown like some kind of party trick to others. You would always be by his side no matter what, meeting, walking or just doing simple boring work, you must be there. You “followed” him around either by ridding his shoulder or ridding a strange floating pad that would never stray away from him, which you honestly did not prefer as your legs would wobble any time you tired to stand up. When you were alone with him, he would take of his mask, showing a surprisingly soft face for someone with his status and would let deep soft rumble when you were brave enough to reach and touch it. He would also pet you time to time with his huge digits, running them across your hair or your back, something that helped him o calm down or relax during boring meetings. You were also provided some kind of armour, small and somewhat resembling his, but you still did your best not to wear it. But now you used it to your advantage. With enough materials, you managed to get time of being alone and snuck out, climbing down a huge tower and getting on to the streets of strange metal city. Though you did not plan this far and had to quickly hide in gutters just to stay alive, silently regretting running away. You slumped against the wall, trying to calm your heart from beating like crazy all while trying to form next step of plan. Surely if you return the big one won’t be to happy to see you like this and learn that you snuck off, on the other hand maybe if you scavenged around a bit more you might find a way home. Nodding to your self, you pushed your self up and strated traversing though pipes, hoping to find a way to the surface.
Megatronus reached his room after another boring meeting, he really did not wanted to sit there without you, but you were asleep in your little nest of pillow so he decided to et you rest. He rumble with joy as he slowly walked up to the nest only to freeze. You were not there, and a strange rope like structure hand down from the edge. You made this to escape. Why? How? When? All sort of questions run though his mind as he looked all over his quarters, trying to find you hiding somewhere. You were not there, leading to the only way he can find you. Piking up a tablet, he turned it on and immideatly got your location. He knew you would do this someday, just not this soon, so he installed a tracker in to your armour, which was a great gift from Solus, he really should thank them. Watching a small red dot on map moved slowly, he resumed you were looking for safe space and with map in hand, left the quarters and ventured down in to Iacon. Of course he immideatly got all the unwanted attention, he just kept walking, following the small dot, guessing you got in to gutter system as he was literally walking on top of you now, silently following. Soon he was left alone by his people and managed to follow you in to the exit, stopping and waititng. It did not even took a click for you to climb out, looking around for any danger, yet failing to see him right behind you, and climb out. You looked horrible and miserable, almost falling over immideatly and trying to get up. He wanted to see what is it you planed, letting out a huff, that gave him away as you turned around so fats he ha to tack a step back. You strated screaming and ran, probably looking for another hole to hide, yet your size gave you a lot of advantage just as many disadvantages, like being small and slow. He quickly wrapped his servos around you, piking you up and heading back, ignoring your weird chatter and kicking and soft punches. You were just upset about being cough for doing something you were not, but for now he was glad you were relatively alright. Returning to his room, he left you in a box, knowing now that your little nest could serve as escape plan as well, leaving to go get some cleaning supplies to help you clean off. Upon his return you were sulking in the corner, refusing to say anything and just let him do what ever he wants, which was much batter then with you fighting him all the way. Piking you up, he easily took the armour of and gently lowered you in to a cube with water getting first layer of muck off, than added the soap and started slowly rubbing the mud of you. Ususaly he would let you do it by your self, knowing how you valued this small moment of privacy and how violently you fought for this, but now it was sort of punishment for running away, not letting you do it by your self at all. When you were done, he wrapped you up in towel and hold you close, just happy that he managed to find you before any harm come to you and quietly pondered if it will be best to make sure you won’t run away again. EVER.

Rhythm and Blue - Sonamy Oneshot
Rated T - Alcohol use, mild language, suggestive language
Summary: Things were different on the dance floor. Out there among the pulsing beat and driving rhythm, certain barriers no longer existed. Hands could roam places that were otherwise off-limits. Touches could linger. Pounding hearts and flush cheeks could be blamed on the cardio without addressing the flames of desire that flickered just below the surface. It was a way to hold that special someone close without needing explanation. And Amy and Sonic would soon discover they'd become addicted to it. [A/N: I'm always drawing these two dancing, I figured I might as well write about it too! This story is also available to read on AO3]
Amy nodded her head to the driving beats that boomed throughout the nightclub. A tightly packed bar full of rowdy patrons and deafening speakers was not her preferred scene, but when her friends suggested a group night out, the bubbly hedgehog couldn't resist.
Of course, it would have been great if most of their friends had actually shown up.
Rouge regretfully declined, stating she was away on some top-secret mission. Knuckles immediately responded to the group chat with a firm: 'no. and take me off this stupid chat.' Big had originally agreed but, thanks to his ever-evasive amphibious friend, was now too busy looking for Froggy to attend. Apart from Amy, the only people who showed up tonight were Tangle, Whisper, Jewel and Vector.
It had taken a substantial amount of pleading from Tangle to get the wolf to come to the nightclub, and even then she only agreed under the condition that she could station herself in a corner booth to keep an eye on everyone from a quiet distance. Upon arriving, Tangle had spotted a mechanical bull in the club and immediately raced to give it a shot. Jewel had quickly trailed on her heels to make sure the lemur didn't injure herself. Amy had watched for a bit, but had quickly grown impatient. She didn't come out for mechanical-bull-riding, she came here to dance! She could likely convince Vector to dance with her, but the music-enthusiast was too busy admiring the sound system and had even talked the DJ into letting him run the booth for a couple of songs. Amy toyed with the idea of sitting with Whisper to keep her company, but the booth was so far away from the dance floor... Ultimately, the pink hedgehog resigned herself to leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.
Nightclubs were for dancing. And here she was. She should change her name to 'Amy Wallflower'.
Sure, she could dance by herself, she supposed, but that would be awkward... And sure, Amy was quite the social butterfly and could probably make plenty of new friends here that she could dance with... But she felt extra vulnerable being in an unfamiliar place and wearing an uncharacteristically petite outfit: A form-fitting, two-piece cocktail dress with some very high heels. Amy was now regretting wearing the ensemble instead of one of her usual outfits, but had chosen this look in the slim chance that Sonic might show up…
It was probably a hopeless wish. Sonic didn't even respond in the group chat. He was so notorious for showing up late to get-togethers, if he showed up at all, that he no longer RSVP'd to events so as not to 'break' a promise. Having him make an appearance at your party was like witnessing a shooting star: Something you were damn lucky to experience, but not something to be expected.
Just as she began to scold herself for being a sourpuss so early on in the night, Amy felt a subtle, almost magnetic pull drawing her attention towards the entrance of the club. When she turned her head, she gasped.
There he was.
Sonic was standing on the outskirts of the dance floor, scanning the crowd in search of something. Amy pushed herself off the wall and took a step forward to make sure she hadn't mistaken someone else for her best friend. However, when their gazes finally met, Sonic's face lit up with his signature grin and he waved enthusiastically. Amy's tail began to wag upon seeing that unmistakable smile. Sonic politely pushed his way through the crowd to make his way towards her and when he was within reach, Amy leapt at him with a tight embrace.
"Sonic!" She cheered and squeezed him just a bit tighter when she felt a chuckle rumbling from his chest and he patted her back. The gesture reminded her that he wasn't as enthusiastic about physical affection as she was, so she released him though her tail continued wagging even as they drew apart.
Sonic couldn't help but give her a once-over and before he could stop himself he shouted, "You look stellar!"
Amy's eyes widened and she felt a warmth blooming in her cheeks and ears. She clasped her hands behind her back and bashfully drew a circle in the floor with the toe of her high heels. "Thank you," she replied, now very glad she wore this outfit after all!
Sonic tittered and rubbed his nose, embarrassed at his own outburst. "Ya got me wonderin' if I'm a little underdressed," he joked.
The lady hedgehog shook her head with a shy smile. "You're perfect as always," she muttered.
Sonic leaned in and cocked his ear, unable to hear her over the loud music. "Wha'?"
"It's so good to see you!" Amy shouted with a hand cupped around her mouth. "I was just thinking about you!"
With a boyish grin, Sonic raised an eyebrow. "When aren't ya thinkin' about me?"
Amy giggled and shoved his shoulder playfully. "No, I'm serious! I wasn't sure you were going to come out tonight. I'm really glad you're here!"
"Yeah," Sonic motioned towards the atmosphere, circling a finger in the air as he shouted, "This place isn't quite as 'open-concept' as Casino Park, that's for sure." He noticed Amy squinting her eyes and her ears twitching as she struggled to differentiate his voice from all the ambient clamoring and overpowering music in the club. Sonic returned one of his hands to her back and pulled her in close. He leaned forward, his muzzle brushing against her temple so he could speak directly into her ear. "'Might be a little loud and tight compared to our usual hangs, but I'm always up for a new adventure. Especially with my 'bestie'." He punctuated the term of endearment with a playful poke to her spine.
Amy let out a nervous chuckle, trying to shake the goosebumps rising on her arms at the feel of Sonic's breath on her fur. She couldn't remember how or when that title came about. Honestly, the word sounded silly coming from his mouth, but she wore that designation like a badge of honor. It had taken years for Sonic to stop seeing her as some love-struck fan (admittedly, that was partially her own fault) and started considering her a member of the team. She still loved him just as much as she always had, but with time and maturity she learned to respect his boundaries and earned his trust. The girl he once ran away from was now the woman he considered his very best friend. Life was funny like that.
The loud pop track that had been blasting throughout the nightclub dissolved into the next song: a slower, softer R&B ballad. Now that the room was no longer overpowered with booming instrumentals, both hedgehogs realized just how close they were and each took a step backwards. They stood in silence for a moment, awkwardly looking around the room to avoid eye contact with one another.
Amy watched wistfully as couples began to partner up together on the dance floor. With lips pursed, she subconsciously began to sway to the slow melody.
Sonic risked a glance back her way and noted the quiet longing in her jade eyes that studied the other dancers. Despite the fluttering in his belly, he dared himself to break the tension and offered Amy his hand.
"Aren't ya gonna ask me to dance?" he asked with a playful lilt. Amy's mouth went agape, but she took his hand and followed him onto the dance floor without question. She noticed the carefully chosen words of his sentence—a guarded invitation that shirked responsibility from his shoulders onto hers. It was a tactic she noticed Sonic using more frequently on her throughout the years. It was almost comical how the deeper their friendship blossomed and the closer their connection grew, the more strategic he became when interacting with her. But, she had to admit, she didn't mind playing his games. What was Amy Rose good at if not keeping up with Sonic the Hedgehog?
"Didn't see the point. You don't normally stick around long enough for me to ask," she teased with a smirk. Sonic took her left hand, balling it into a fist within his own, and used it to make a stabbing motion at his chest.
"Yowch! Rosy's still got thorns, I see!" he joked and guided that same hand to rest on his shoulder before he slid his own down to her waist. His lime green eyes were practically sparking with excitement as he challenged her. "But are you as quick on your feet as you are with that wit?"
With swift yet coordinated steps, the two hedgehogs began waltzing across the dance floor.
It was no surprise that Sonic was a skilled dancer. Music seemed to naturally flow through him. So, just as easily as he was able to learn to play the guitar without any proper instruction, so too did he effortlessly move and step in perfect harmony with the rhythm. No matter the genre or tempo, he always found a way to put on a lively performance. Watching him dance was invigorating and made you want to join in on the fun.
Of course, dancing with Sonic was a completely different story. Most people would find it far too much of a challenge to keep up with his choreography. He had no patience for amateurs who might stumble from his swift movements and the multitude of steps he'd take even during a 'slow' dance. Experts would find his style to be too unrefined and improvisational, lacking the control and discipline from traditional structure.
Amy Rose was not most people.
She stepped in perfect synchrony with him, their combined musicality making them glide effortlessly along the dance floor. Though Sonic was unpredictable, being in his arms was as familiar to her as breathing. She could easily detect the minute changes in his grip and noticed how his smile would flicker with a hint of mischief, all of which helped her anticipate when he might change direction or twirl her around. One would think with how well they danced together that the two had been rehearsing. In a way, it was true. Amy had dedicated years of her life training to stay on Sonic's heels. Wherever he would lead, she would follow.
Sonic guided her into an inside turn, this time pulling her in so her back was to his chest in a cradle position. "Hmm, I was right," she heard him muse over her shoulder.
Amy gulped, hoping he couldn't feel her pulse accelerating. "Right about what?"
He shifted his weight to dip her back just enough so he could look her in the eyes. "You're a great dancer," he said proudly. When he righted her and returned to their usual position, Amy wore an offended expression and gasped theatrically.
"You doubted me?!" She shoved his shoulder and they both used the momentum to spin individually. She demonstrated some dramatic arm styling to further show off her skills.
Sonic scooped her back into his arms, laughing heartily. Even with their back and forth play-bickering, neither missed a step. "You're normally the one hostin' the parties," he continued. "You're too busy runnin' around making sure everybody else is happy and havin' a good time. It's nice to see you let loose."
Amy's features softened. She might have felt a little disheartened that, indeed, she was usually too focused on others to enjoy parties to the fullest. However, right now all she felt was delight that Sonic had picked up on that, and even more so that he was making such an effort to correct it.
"If you like this, you ought to try Quickstepping with me sometime," Amy winked with a new surge of confidence. "Of course it'd have to be somewhere less crowded. We'd need plenty of room to move."
"You had me at 'quick'!" Sonic exclaimed. The two laughed as they continued their dance.
Much to Amy's dismay, the slow tune eventually drew to a close and the DJ transitioned back to the fast, upbeat tracks expected from a nightclub. She loosened her hold and began to pull away, yet Sonic's hand still lingered on her. He started nodding his head and marching in time with the faster rhythm. "This remix is sick!"
Amy beamed, "It's Vector!"
Sonic slipped his arm around the small of her back and pulled her close. "What?!"
Amy rolled her eyes in defeat; it was impossible to have a conversation over the blaring electropop synths. She twisted around in his arms so he was against her back again. She reached over her shoulder, taking his chin into her hand and directed his gaze towards the DJ booth. When he spotted their crocodile friend across the way, he shouted, "Oh hey! It's Vector!" She tilted her head enough to give him an affirming grin, which he returned. Their smiles faltered slightly as they realized once again how precariously they were positioned. Amy fought the instinct to bashfully pull away; they were already here, and his hands were still on her waist. Instead, she remained still and left it up to Sonic to create distance between them. Yet, he didn't. She exhaled the breath she had been unknowingly holding once she felt him guide her hips to side-step and sway with him and she followed his lead.
It took a second for the two to get over their initial clumsiness, but they quickly let their musicality take over and found themselves more comfortably in sync once again. Amy had to admit, dancing with Sonic was exhilarating. He moved so carefree and stylistically that it instigated her competitive side and willed her to try more daring and bold moves just to keep up with him. His touch was electrifying. They'd never been so close for so long before—outside of escaping from a horde of evil robots, of course—and the feel of his body willingly pressed up against hers caused more of an adrenaline rush than any of their world-saving missions ever had. And his hands were so… curious! It may have started as a means of directing her which ways to turn or to make sure they kept in-line with each other, but it was impossible not to notice how his fingertips would trail down her thigh or how he'd trace the curves of her waist with his palms. The sensations were enough to make her head spin.
Luckily, the tension was also interspersed with their playful repertoire, a staple in their unique friendship. Even though it was difficult to speak over the music, any time one of them would perform a particularly impressive move, the other would cheer or find other goofy ways to encourage more: Amy theatrically fanning herself when Sonic executed a body roll; Sonic comically falling to his knees and clutching his heart when Amy swizzled her hips in a figure-eight shape.
It was silly. It was sexy. It was so… uniquely them. Amy was having a blast, and she hoped tonight would never end.
---
After a couple of songs, the hedgehogs decided to catch up with the rest of the crew. Amy navigated their way to the booth Whisper had secured earlier. The wolf was the first to spot them and waved politely. Tangle and Jewel jumped up from their seats, shouting enthusiastically when the pair made their way over.
"SONIC!"
"YOU MADE IT!"
Amy slid into the booth alongside Whisper and was surprised to find that Sonic sat next to her instead of joining Vector on the opposite side of the table.
"Well yeah, the party doesn't start 'til I show up, after all," Sonic joked, reaching across to bump fists with the lemur.
Jewel's cheeks were flush from the drink she was currently sipping. "Sonic, this place is SOOOO fun! It's even more fun than color-coding my day planner!"
Sonic nodded encouragingly, eyebrows tented, trying not to laugh at the beetle's overenthusiasm. "Oh yeah? That's quite the review!" He looked over at Vector, the only member of the group yet to acknowledge him. The crocodile's arms were crossed and he wore an unamused scowl. Sonic knocked on the table with his knuckle to get his attention. "Hey Big Guy, why the long face?"
"Well I was the coolest guy here until you showed up," Vector rolled his eyes. "Everybody thought I was some big-shot V.I.P. walking in with all these ladies on my arm."
"Aw, don't be like that," Sonic chuckled, feigning an apologetic tone. He wrapped an arm around Amy's shoulder. "Surely me takin' just one of 'em off your hands won't diminish your 'cool' status, right?"
Amy could hardly make out the rest of the conversation over the sound of her own heartbeat flooding her ears. Did she hear that correctly? If she wasn't mistaken, it sounded like he just claimed her as his.
"That's right, Vector! You're SO cool!" Tangle shouted, stretching her tail passed Jewel to poke at his bicep adamantly.
"And chivalrous!" Jewel piped in. "You were the only guy willing to come out with us even when everybody else bailed!"
"Yeah, and who else could walk into a club and schmooze the DJ into letting him run the booth?!" Tangle continued. "And your whole getup, you look like you were born for the club!"
Whisper nodded, hoping that was enough to back her friends' sentiments.
Vector slammed his fist on the table. "YOU'RE ALL JUST SAYIN' THAT SO I'LL BUY YOU ANOTHER ROUND!" he barked, but in truth he was amused by the shower of compliments.
"And your sleuthing skills remain TOP-NOTCH!" Tangle raised her glass, with the other two women following suit. Tangle and Jewel began to chant along with Whisper murmuring: "Vec-tor! Vec-tor! VEC-TOR!"
The crocodile couldn't hold in his laughter any longer and he raised his hands in defeat. "AHAHAHA! Alright, alright! Another round for you she-devils." Lemur, beetle, and wolf all high-fived and congratulated each other on their clever victory.
"I could go for a drink, too," Sonic sat up from the booth. He gently tapped Amy's shoulder again, waking her from her shell-shocked stupor. "What can I get you?"
"Oh! Uh," she hadn't had a chance to look at a menu and she didn't go out enough to have many cocktails memorized. She blurted out the first one she could remember, "Sex on the BᴇᴬCᴴ - !"
The last word ended in a shrill squeak and she clasped her hands over her mouth. Of all the drinks, why did she think of that one?!
Sonic's eyes were wide, equally as startled. But seeing how flustered she was, he quickly got over his own surprise and couldn't resist teasing her. He leaned in with a devilish smile. "Sure, but what do you want to drink?"
"Forget I said that!" Amy tried swatting him away. She was embarrassed enough as it was. Enduring his torture was making her face more scarlet than her dress. "I'll have a strawberry mojito!"
"A mojito? But I thought you wanted Se-"
Amy covered his mouth with her hand, panic in her eyes. If she heard that word come from his lips, she might actually burst into flames right then and there. "Strawberry. Mojito." Even with his muzzle masked, she could tell by the crinkling of his eyes that he was grinning. "Please," she added politely, hesitantly removing her hand.
Sonic laughed and gave her a thumbs up, "One strawberry mojito, comin' up!" He turned to Vector and clapped him on the back. "Alright Mr. V.I.P., you clear a path through the crowd and I'll help ya carry drinks back to the table."
Amy watched the two men make their way towards the bar, her thoughts racing. Sonic was acting so strange tonight! Or… was he? She had this image in her mind that he took to physical affection like oil to water, but come to think of it, that was more the case when they were younger. In recent years not only did he allow her hugs, he reciprocated them. And if she recalled correctly, he was often the one placing his arm around her shoulder without her having to initiate it. The flirty talk… was it really all that new either? In the beginning, she was the only one who teased him and did everything she could to make him blush. Nowadays he dished it right back at her and couldn't be more amused when he'd gotten a rise out of her. When had that started? She couldn't even pinpoint it. They had been playing this game for so long with the rules shifting so gradually that she'd never even noticed the change.
Amy was pulled from her thoughts when she considered how eerily silent the rest of her party was. She turned to the three women smiling at her with a knowing look.
"What?" she guffawed. When the only response she received were giggles, she asked more adamantly. "What?!"
Whisper held a finger to her lips.
"You tell us," Tangle snickered.
Amy bit her cheek but it didn't stop her growing smile. "There's nothing to tell! We were just dancing!"
Jewel and Tangle exchanged looks, nodding sarcastically. "Just dancing," they echoed. Whisper let her bangs fall over her face to hide her quiet laughter. Amy huffed in resignation. Her friends just didn't get it.
Things were different on the dance floor.
---
After the guys returned, the group laughed over stories and drinks. Throughout their socializing, Sonic and Amy took turns pulling one another from the booth to dance whenever a song in particular caught their attention. At one point, the rest of the gang joked about getting 'ditched' by the hedgehogs so many times that the whole crew left the table to form a large dance circle. Even Whisper, the most reserved of the bunch, allowed herself to shimmy her shoulders a bit when Tangle relentlessly danced around her. Amy noted how even as her different friends took turns dancing with Sonic, he never danced with them the same way he would with her. He would instead default to Shuffling beside them, trying (and failing) to teach them how to T-step or perform a Heel-Toe-Hop.
The group eventually reconvened at the booth, exhausted from trying to keep up with the energetic hedgehogs' antics. Jewel groaned how she hadn't used her wings this much in ages, and Vector offered his signature noise-cancelling headphones to Whisper to give her sensitive ears a break from the loud music. Amy was sipping her third mojito when she recognized the melody of the upcoming track.
"OHMYGOD!" She shouted, a little tipsy. "I LOVE THIS SONG!"
"Then let's go!" Sonic motioned to the dance floor with his thumb. Amy held up a finger, taking several large gulps from her drink, determined to finish it before leaving the table. Sonic tapped his foot rapidly, growing impatient. Eventually, he yanked the glass out from Amy's hand and shot down the rest of her beverage himself.
"Hey!" Amy glared but smiled wide as she swatted at him for stealing her booze.
He swallowed and let out a satisfied sigh. "You were takin' too long!" He wiped his mouth and slammed the empty glass down onto the table.
"Is that right?" Amy asked mischievously. "Well if you can't wait, then I'll just-" Without warning, she hooked her arm around his waist and slung him over her shoulder to carry him out to the dance floor. Sonic yelped in shock. "What're you doing?!"
As Amy escorted him away from the table, he stretched his arms out to the rest of the friend group, pretending like he was in need of rescuing.
"Buhh-byyyeeee~!!!" They all cheered and laughed, Tangle using her tail to make a patronizing 'wave-goodbye' motion.
The two hedgehogs continued to dance one song after another. Amy rested her chin on Sonic's shoulder and moved with exaggerated sways as the alcohol caused just enough of a buzz for a pleasant tingle in her brain. Suddenly a thought crossed her mind, and she lifted her head just enough to shout into his ear. "Hey, have you teamed up with Ariem* again?"
Sonic's brows furrowed and he cocked his head at the mention of the ancient Dreamweaver. It had been ages since he and his friends had thwarted Eggman's plans to steal The Reverie for world domination, and frankly, they'd been on so many adventures that he hadn't thought much about it since.
"Whaddya mean?" he asked.
"Because you're making my dream come true!" Amy shouted enthusiastically.
Sonic's head drooped and he groaned with a pained smile. "Criminy, Ames! I know you're corny, but that's gotta be your cheesiest pickup line yet!"
Amy looped both arms around his neck and gently bonked their foreheads together. "Noooo. I know how that sounded, but that's not what I meant!" Their laughs intermingled. "What I mean is, all I wanted to do tonight was dance," She shifted her weight so she could look him in the eyes. She glowed brighter than any spotlight in the club. "Ever since you showed up, you've made my wish a reality. You're always my hero, even when you don't know it!"
Sonic was speechless for a moment, only managing a light chuckle in the form of an exhale. His eyes studied hers, jade orbs sparkling with joy and gratitude. His gaze then traced her lips that formed the most dazzling, genuine smile.
"Amy…" He could've blamed the help of liquid courage, but truly, it was seeing how positively happy she was in this moment that encouraged him to offer a small confession. "I'm not as selfless as you think I am."
Amy buried her face into his neck, clicking her tongue in disagreement. "You're crazy."
"No, I'm serious," Sonic tittered nervously. He took a deep breath, thankful that she had nestled into him so that he didn't have to look directly at her as he continued. "I wasn't plannin' on comin' out tonight. But then I saw that photo you got tagged in of y'all on you're way here…" his fingers lazily traced the space between her two-piece along her back, where fabric met velvety fur. "…And I saw you in this dress… And suddenly all I could think about was how everyone here was gonna be fightin' each other to dance with you if I didn't get to you first."
Amy felt his heartbeat pounding against her chest. He began to laugh, but she could tell it was to try and mask his anxiety from having shared so much. "I don't think I've ever run so fast!"
She hugged him tightly. "I'm glad you did," she admitted with a tender warmth that soothed his nerves. She was thankful for both his companionship and his honesty. "And for the record," she straightened herself upright to give him a wink, "I'd beat everyone in this club away with my hammer if it meant I got to dance with you."
---
"Last call, everyone, last call," The DJ spoke into the microphone. "While you're at it, don't forget to tip those lovely bartenders who've been keepin' you refreshed all night. I've got a few more tracks to end your evenin' on a high note."
"Damn it," Amy hissed, seated and folded over on herself to futz with one of her shoes. "I knew I shouldn't have bet Vector that we were going to make it 'til closing time." Their friends had headed home hours ago, but Amy wasn't going to lie just to win a bet. She sighed, "And I was so hoping for that 'last dance', too…"
Sonic slid a glass of water over to her side of the table while he sipped from his own. He tutted with mock disapproval. "Tsk, tsk. Callin' it quits so soon? I can't believe you're tired already." He shook his head and took another sip.
Amy sat upright and placed her hands on her hips, glaring at him with a daring smile. "Oh no, trust me," she leaned across the table and with a sultry tone she insisted, "I have endless stamina."
Sonic sputtered on his water from the double entendre. Amy continued back in her usual voice, "What I don't have is titanium feet!"
Hoping she didn't catch his awkward fumble, he pursued with teasing the pink hedgehog. "You've always been able to chase after me for miles without any issue. Why's dancing any different?"
"I'm not normally running in stilettos!" Amy challenged, lifting one of her legs to demonstrate her high heels that had a significantly taller arch than her casual boots. Sonic blushed. Those heels may have been a pain, but damn was he grateful for how well they accentuated her long, toned legs. He realized a little too late that he had been gawking, and quickly shifted his focus to finishing his glass of water.
"O-okay, that's fair," he conceded. He dropped the finished cup on the table and stood up, beckoning with his hands. "If they're hurtin' ya so bad, take 'em off and I'll carry you home."
"Really?" Amy asked.
Sonic casually shifted his weight to one side with his wrist against his hip. "Yeah. Really. I'm the one who made you dance all night, after all. I owe ya."
That wasn't exactly true. Amy had dragged him out onto the dance floor just as much as he had her. But she'd never turn down an offer to be carried by him.
---
Sonic jogged just fast enough to make it a smooth ride back to her house, but not anywhere close to his usual speed. He claimed it was so she wouldn't get sick on him—despite both having sobered up by now—but Amy had the sneaking suspicion it was because he wanted to stretch this evening out for as long as possible. Their constant laughter and bantering filled the otherwise quiet night air.
They worked together to unlock her door and opted for only switching on the side table lamp so as not to hurt their eyes from spending most of the evening in the dark. When Sonic set her down onto the couch, she practically melted into the cushions. She buried her toes into the rug, purring from how soothing the plush fibers felt against her paws. "Ughhhh that's heaven!"
"Heh, glad to hear it," he said softly. He could tell she was beat. Her quills were disheveled and her makeup was a bit smudged from having danced and sweated all night. However, even now, he found her breathtaking. While her eyes were closed, he reached out to brush her bangs from her face, but hesitated at the last second. Instead, he massaged the back of his neck and turned away. "And uh… I'm glad you had fun tonight. I had a lotta fun too."
A warm squeeze to his left hand brought his attention back to the woman on the couch, now sitting upright. Her voice was quiet, hopeful. "I'm still bummed we didn't make it to the last song… Can we have just one more dance?"
Sonic raised an eyebrow at her. "…But your paws?"
"I feel better now," she quickly insisted. "They felt better as soon as I took my shoes off, honest."
He narrowed his eyes at her with some scrutiny. After a beat, he shook his head incredulously but his lips curved into a smile as he pulled out his phone. "So what you're sayin' is…" He scrolled through his media player thoughtfully. "I gave you a free ride for nothin'?"
Amy stood up excitedly, any previous signs of exhaustion immediately disappeared. "I couldn't walk home barefoot, could I?"
"Mmhmm," he teased with a tone full of mirth. He could hear the swish, swish, swish of her tail wagging against the skirt of her dress. When he found the right track, he set the phone down on the coffee table and hit play.
Amy wasn't expecting to hear a slow, soft piano ballad. Sonic offered his hand and as she took it, his other arm slipped around her lower back and pulled her in close until they were cheek-to-cheek. Her eyes widened and it took her a moment to gather the wherewithal to slide her hand from his bicep to drape it across his shoulders. Once secure in each other's arms, Sonic began to slowly shift his weight from side to side until they each delicately swayed with the music.
This was nothing like the last several hours they spent in the nightclub. In her empty living room, warmed only by the dim light of a lamp and the closeness of their bodies, the atmosphere was reticent yet electric. The melody playing from Sonic's phone sounded muted and tinny compared to the booming speakers at the venue. Yet, Amy preferred this. While in the club, her senses were completely overloaded. Now, her ears could hyperfocus on the collective sounds of their heartbeats. No longer masked by various colognes and perfumes of partygoers, she could fully appreciate the scent of his fur, warm and earthy with a dash of salt and alcohol. Without the bone-rattling bass, here she could savor every shift in his muscles that pressed against her, how his broad chest rose and fell with his breath, and revel in his fingertips making feather-light strokes to her pelt. Sonic rested his temple to hers and without any further space between them they swayed with the music as if they were one entity.
Since neither of them were speaking, Amy decided to tune into the lyrics. It was a tender serenade about friendship and fear of unrequited feelings. Did Sonic know what the song was about? He sought it out specifically; was it special to him? Did it make him think about her? About them? How many times had he listened to it and, when he had, had he ever imagined they'd one day be listening to it together… like this? Thoughts swirled through her mind, giving her a rush more dizzying than any spirits could.
Neither knew who initiated it, but at some point their handhold was released and now Amy had both arms wrapped around Sonic's neck while both of his framed the small of her back in an intimate embrace. As they held one another, time and the outside world melted away.
The song was over. Yet, they remained, swaying in the silence. Neither wanted to be the first to pull away. Perhaps if they didn't part, eventually the warm glow from the lamp would envelope them like amber and preserve them right here in this moment for eternity.
Amy felt Sonic's breath tickle the nape of her neck as he whispered, "Aren't ya gonna ask me to kiss you?"
Amy leaned back just enough to look him in the eyes. Her hands dragged from the back of his neck to frame his face so she could properly read his expression, confirm this wasn't some kind of sick prank. Heat radiated from his muzzle and warmed her fingertips. His half-lidded eyes were honest. Yearning. Shifting her gaze to his lips…
Oh, how desperately she wanted to give in. But she couldn't, not just yet. She'd played by his rules enough for one evening.
She shook her head, her eyes searching his. "Do you want to kiss me?"
He scoffed, amused that she left the ball in his court. Well played, Amy Rose. He'd backed himself into this corner. There was no denying it now.
He dipped his head. "Yes."
Their lips met. It was a gentle, chaste kiss, soft and quiet but full of a thousand unspoken words. It broke sooner than Amy would have liked and it took all her willpower to not immediately steal a second kiss from him. They rested their foreheads together, silently basking in the rush of butterflies that filled their stomachs.
With a nervous inhale, Amy gathered her courage to ask just one more question. Two simple words that held the weight of the world and the rest of her fate in their humble syllables: "What now?"
Sonic combed his fingers through her quills. With a lopsided grin, he replied, "You lead, I'll follow."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Ariem is from the game Sonic Dream Team A/N: I didn't want to break up the flow of the story by inserting lyrics every time a new song started, so I left it up to you readers to imagine what they were dancing to. However, if you're curious what I was envisioning, I made a list of some of the songs. (Some songs are EXPLICIT! Listen at your own risk) Fast songs at the club: "C***ISSMO [E]" - MARINA; "Circus - Villains Remix" - Britney Spears; "Ghost" - Ava Max; "It's ok i'm ok [E]" - Tate McRae; "Scared" - SABAI & Olivia Ridgely; "Bathroom Floor" - Sophie Powers; "Take It Off" - Kesha; "Slow Down" - Selena Gomez; "Wasabi [E]" - Little Mix; (Basically ANYTHING on The Fitness Marshall Playlist) Slow songs at the club: "Love is a Bitch [E]" - Two Feet; "Dangerous Woman" - Ariana Grande; "Get to Me" - Amber DeLaRosa; "Feel It" - Michele Morrone; "COLD WAR [E]" - ari hicks; "Sports car" - Tate McRae; For their last dance at Amy's house: "Butterflies" - Abe Parker

hello, I noticed that you write for shaman king and I wanted to request if you could make like oneshots or head cannons about the boys realizing that they fell for the reader. You can use any gender you want. Thank you!
Hiii!! Thank you so much for your request!! I hope you love it! <33333
Shaman King Boys Realizing That They're In Love 💌
Includes: Yoh, Horohoro, Ren, Lyserg, Chocolove, and Hao
Yoh:
I think when Yoh first figured out that he had feelings for you, he'd definitely have a mini mental crisis.
I mean, he planned on marrying Anna after all! Imagine what would happen if he tried to call it off.
He'd probably take some time to clear his mind, asking his friends and family for any advice on what to do.
He'd eventually talk it out with Anna, which surprisingly goes quite well. No hard feelings and even some words of encouragement!
During this time, I think he'd definitely be a bit distant. I don't think he'd actively try to avoid you, but he'd probably be less talkative or touchy.
However, once he has everything sorted out, he'd slowly start actively pursuing you.
There'd be little changes in his behavior: he'd be hugging you or holding your hand more often, naturally standing closer to you, staring at you more often, and the likes!
It probably wouldn't be super noticeable at first, since you guys would probably be close friends before all of this.
If you don't get the hint, then he'd start upping up the ante. He'd start spending more alone time with you, gifting you little trinkets, training with you, etc.
Eventually, he'd have the courage to confess to you. Of course, if you confess to him first, he'd be ecstatic.
Overall, super sweet and chill about the whole thing. He'd have his awkward moments, but he's super relaxed and comfortable around you.
Horohoro:
Another one who'd have a mental crisis, but for different reasons.
Given what happened last time Horohoro liked someone, he's terrified that you'll end up with the same fate.
He almost immediately becomes distant, too lost in his fears and intrusive thoughts to actually consider what he's doing.
It isn't until someone like Ren or Yoh knocks some sense into him that he understands what he's actually doing.
He takes a lot of time to himself, reflecting on what he should do and if he should even try to pursue you at all.
Not only that, but he also has to consider a lot of other circumstances! With the competition still going on, Hao's presence, and his own personality, who knows what'll happen?
He's so scared about scaring you away. He doesn't want to hurt you, but he also doesn't want someone to target you.
If you confronted him first, he'd be extremely nervous. He'd be serious though, explaining his fears and apologizing for pushing you away.
If you didn't confront him, he'd probably approach you when he knew he couldn't avoid it any longer. He tells you about the issue, wholeheartedly expecting you to reject him.
If you reject him, he'd understand. If you reciprocated his feelings, he'd be so grateful and happy. It'd take him a while to get fully comfortable with the new situation, but you'd get to see the old, playful Horohoro soon enough.
He'd be stuck by your side, always at your beck and call whenever you needed him. He's super protective and clingy, always going to you whenever something upsets him. Overall, it'd be a bit of work in the beginning, but he'd be super sweet and loyal!
Ren:
I can see this going one of two ways. He'd either be super confident and accepting of his feelings, or he'd be panicked and freaking out. Maybe both.
Ren's the kind of guy who confronts his problems head on, but he seems to struggle when it comes to an internal problem.
He probably seeks out Yoh's advice first. I mean come on, Yoh's the one with a fiancé after all.
Ren also talks to his family, asking them about how he should go about this. He also wants some other points of view on the matter. After all, he wants to be prepared for every possibility.
He takes some time to prepare. He plans out an outline of what he wants to say, but he also prepares himself for rejection.
Once he feels ready, he approaches you nonchalantly. He keeps his confession short and sweet, laying out the basic foundation of what he wanted and what he'd like if you agreed.
If you reject him, he understands and quickly moves on. It would depend on you whether or not your relationship with him changes, but he wouldn't be too bothered by it.
If you accepted his feelings, he'd be pleased. He'd sit down and quickly establish stuff like boundaries. He's let you know about the stuff that comes with beings his partner, and you'd do the same.
He's not super physically affectionate, but he makes up for it through acts of service.
He's also a bit protective given the enemies him and his family have, so he's usually stuck by your side.
Overall, he's super loyal despite not being super vulnerable. It'd take some time for both of you to find a normal routine, but he'd eventually get the hang of it.
Lyserg:
Lyserg is definitely one of the more complicated ones on this list.
Given how good Lyserg appears to be when it comes to hiding his feelings, I honestly don't know how he'd react when he first realizes his feeling for you.
Whether or not he's with the X-Laws, I think he'd be conflicted on what to do.
I see Lyserg as the one who doesn't do anything about his feelings. He tries pushing them down, hoping that they'll eventually just go away.
I doubt that he'll approach you about it, so you'd probably be the one to confront him about his behavior.
I also think it'd be a lot worse if he had just joined the X-Laws. He'd be missing you terribly, but he'd also be actively ignoring you and pushing you away.
With everything and everyone in the way, you'd probably get fed up or give up. He's not surprised, but he slowly becomes more frantic and persistent in wanting to see you.
If you agree to meet, he'd confess everything. He'd probably cry and beg for at least your forgiveness, promising to never do this again.
If you reject him, he cries himself to sleep that night. If you accept his feelings, he runs to you sobbing. He hugs you tightly, nuzzling into your shoulder and accidently getting your shirt wet.
He'd actively start working on himself in order to help the relationship, even sticking up to Marco a few times. He's not the most affectionate, but I see him as a guy who's great with words. He'd write you little love letters, expressing his love for you and how grateful he was for you.
Overall, he's super sweet and affectionate behind closed doors. He's more modest around the group, but he makes sure too make up for it.
Chocolove:
The most accepting and reassured with his feelings out of the entire group.
When he first realized he fell for you, he didn't mind acknowledging it. Sure, he felt a little embarrassed, but he couldn't help but feel giddy.
He wouldn't change the way he acted around you, but it'd be obvious that he was taking a liking to you. He'd be more playful, more touchy, and he'd do more jokes and stunts to get your praise and attention.
If you reciprocated with teasing remarks, you can expect him to be flustered as hell. He'd quickly regain his composure though, teasing and playfully flirting back.
This wouldn't change when he became blind, but I think he'd start spending more alone time with you.
With everything that'd happened, he'd be a lot more vulnerable with you. The loss of his friends hit him hard, and he doesn't want to take his time with you for granted.
He'd initiate small acts of physical affection, testing the waters to see what you like and don't like. Once you were comfortable with each other, then he'll start being more openly affectionate around the others.
Wrapping his arm around your shoulders, hugging you, holding your hand, it doesn't matter. If you like it, then he likes it.
Eventually, he'd build up the courage to properly confess. Maybe with a cheesy pun, but it's certainly adorable.
If you reject him, he'll understand and back off despite being disappointed. If you accept him, he'll be so happy that he'll pick you up and twirl you around.
Overall, the most playful and relaxed. He'll have his flustered and embarrassed moments, but he knows you love it.
Hao:
The most confident about his feelings. The second he realizes what he's feeling, he immediately begins pursing you.
If you were on his team, he'd pursue you in private. He'd start hanging out with you more, but he doesn't beat around the bush about his feelings.
If you weren't on his side, then he'd have fun messing with you. He'd show up at random times, teasing you relentlessly just to get your attention.
Sometimes after your fights, he'd secretly approach you and compliment your skill. He doesn't do this with amateurs, so he considers you special.
Given his mind reading abilities, he'll automatically know whether you like him or not. Even if you don't feel the same, he'll still continue his fun until he's bored.
If you happen to be bold, he'll happily have flirting sessions with you. His remarks are teasing and playful, but they can sometimes become a little possessive.
He doesn't necessarily feel the need to confess, but he will nonetheless. In private, under the stars, he'll take your hand and ask you to rule beside him.
Breaking the news to the others doesn't matter to him, but he'll be alright with keeping the relationship a secret if you really wanted to.
You'll have to make up for his lack of physical affection from the last 1000 years, so be prepared for a lot of late night snuggles. He'd only be affectionate in private, since he doesn't need anyone else knowing about his weakness: you.
When he becomes the Shaman King, he gives you the option of whether or not you want to stay with him in the Great Spirit. Though, he'd much prefer if you stayed with him.
Overall, he's infatuated with you. After years of being alone, he's grateful to have you by his side.

oh em gee the request box is open!! may I order a tall and strong fem!reader with any phighter during a match? (hell, you can do all or do a love triangle to stir some drama!) ty for ur time :D
—also idk, something with strong and buff fem!readers are something cool and amazing! 😭🙏
HELLO HELLO!!! AND YES, OF COURSE??? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TALL, BUFF, AND STRONG READERS. THEY ARE SO COOL!!!! i will say it was a bit difficult for me to figure out how to implement. so i tried my best!!! otherwise, i hope this is good enough : [ I am so sorry for the wait!! I’ve been actually quite busy unexpectedly so my schedule was draining me horribly. Once again, the gear reader I tried to make was very brief, so it's completely up to interpretation! If there's any mistake, please do tell me!! I am also trying out a new layout of how I start stuff, so enjoy! Characters: Boombox, Skateboard, GN! Reader Prompt: Love Triangle, Fluff + angst, headcanons + small drabble oneshot! Requested!
When you first joined the matches and tournaments, your gear was without a doubt one of the most interesting
While everyone had somewhat of a weapon of some sort, you used your complete strength and agility to defend yourself and teammates
Being able to block, punch and deal tons of damage to opponents
Tons of people loved you! You were practically an all-star!
That’s when Boombox and Skateboard were opposed to you on the other team
Boy, were they over heels for you!
Boombox would always find himself getting flustered each time you threw a sense of encouragement, even though you had beaten his ass THOUSANDS of times!!
Skateboard loved riling you up and making your ego grow, ending up with him accidentally getting his mind-games completely demolished!!
You’d practically trample over them and help win points for upcoming festivals!!!!
Not to forget, you're one of the tallest phighters, making Ban Hammer more nervous sometimes.
When the Dove vs Crow festival came by, they finally realised their complete love for you.
And boy, did it turn into utter chaos.
Boombox started rejecting his own teammates support
Skateboard started to laze around and discourage one another!!
It was total chaos, and out of character for them! But they’d always somewhat change whenever you came by to support and fight one of them
But, that got even worse when Boombox and Skateboard collided with another and ended up in a brawl.
It shocked you, really! And you were in disarray when it happened.
Sadly, such a brawl caused them to get a penalty. Big time.
Medkit, thankfully as a close friend to you, helped them out and headed to the hospital. They suffered major damage to one another.
You felt like you had done something horribly wrong, and who wouldn’t? Your two pals fighting over something you had no clue what of?
Call that worse than Noob Nardashins!
You started to avoid matches, refusing to support the team and staying on the sidelines until the other two recover so you could formally apologise
Vine Staff and Slingshot were concerned for the best, you seemed to be different after the major incident
Luckily, Skateboard and Boombox recovered quick, and heard about the news from Slingshot (who was quite disappointed in their little brawl)
Devastated to say the least they were!!
So, they ended up putting their differences aside just to prove to you that it wasn’t their fault; maybe a few confessions on the way.
The rain seemed to be more gentle than the other days it started hitting. You had no clue on what to do anymore, your passion ran dry after that fight. Holding the train-bar tight, looking out the window where clouds seemed to endlessly create nothing more but chaos. Windforce must be disappointed or something.
“Ma’am!” A tug at your leg, you looked down. A small little demon-child, holding an autograph of what seems to be you.
“Oh, hello!” In their perspective, you were enormous. So tall, and much more different than any other phighter or civilian. “Could you sign my autograph! I miss when you used to phight, you are so cool! I want to be like you one day!”
The steady speed of your heart pulsed. A heart, so metronome, keeping a sensible rhythm, collapsed at the thought of someone wanting to be just like you. You trembled, but kept a smile. “Why, of course!” and you bent down on one knee.
The small child held out their photograph, taking out what seemed to be the cutest gel-pen possible. It was bedazzled with keychains of different phighters — Medkit, Subspace, Vine Staff, Katana, Boombox, and Skateboard — that caught your attention. Heart soon skipped a beat at the sight of two familiar phighters.
Taking the gel-pen, you wrote your name in thick writing, right where it would be suitable for the child. You looked back up at the child, handing both the pen and the autographed paper. “I saw what happened in that one phighting match, I’m sure it’s not your fault! Maybe they just fought because they like you!”
No, that’s not right. It’s not because they like me – it’s because I am the problem. Your eyes seemed to be pale and your skin full of goosebumps at such words. Words that seemed to taunt you soon enough to the brink of extinction. If I just never seemed to enter those phights, none of them would’ve gotten hurt. None of them would’ve gotten hurt.
None of them would’ve gotten hur—
The sound of the train stopping, halting as the doors slid open. The child vanished as she yelled goodbye in the cloud of civilians. They all pushed through and tried to get onto the train as fast as possible, while the ones hopping off did the same.
— * * *
You waited at the hospital seating area. Visitation hours were becoming slim, but thanks to Medkit, you’ve been granted more than the usual civilian. He sat at the front-receptionist, seemingly boring himself in constant work and typing. You could hear his quick work-skills not too far, colliding with the clock’s agonising voice.
“You can visit them now.” Medkit piped up. It had to take him a few tries to finally catch your attention, zoning out was not something fun for you.
“Hey, you can visit,” Medkit yelled with a more guided, threatening tone. That caught your attention. Waking from your small dissociation, you got up and trudged off through the door. To the shared room of your two “friends,” that you hated to call them that.
You had feelings for them, of course. They were just so your type, stupid but clever. They were risk-takers, just like you, but you overall enjoyed their thick humour and how they correlated with you quite well; rejection was bound with this.
Knocking at the door of the room, you opened the sliding door. There, Skateboard and Boombox sat.
“Oh- Did I interrupt something?” You bent down slightly to walk into the room. The two phighters turned to face you. Skateboard relaxed at the sight of your face, while Boombox just let out a thankful sigh.
“I thought you’d never visit!” Skateboard rushed off of his chair, running over to hug you. You couldn’t help but smile, this is what you missed. Spending endless time with the two, you couldn’t help it. “I was! You guys were just in serious deep sleep.”
“Ha ha, yeah right,” Boombox piped up, elbowing you as he sighed. “Gosh, you're getting taller. You need to stop growing!” Shaking his head, letting out a laugh, he looked out the window and back. “I never thought you guys missed me this much.”
“Miss you that much? Oh boy, we missed you more than you missed us!”
“Yeah, what the skater said!”
You smiled, humming as you looked at them both. The comfort that came from them both, came from fortitude. It felt like protected walls that returned the healing hearts; to welcome them to the fort and that they spared any harm. It made you feel happier.
“But,” The two phighters moved back, leaving the last hug.
You raised a brow, eyeing at the two as they sat down. You plucked out a chair from the side, sitting down on it yourself as you stared. “We owe you an apology,” Skateboard nodded. Boombox seemed to look away in slight embarrassment, but shook his head. He had to prove this to you.
“What happened in that match was completely me and Skateboard’s fault. We didn't mean to be that mean towards each other, it’s just…” Skateboard looked at Boombox, who struggled to continue his apology. It was like something had been caught in his throat.
“It’s just…?” You eyed them, concerned. Maybe this was the end of your two’s shared friendship? It was your fault all along.
“What happened that day, it wasn’t your fault. Me and Skateboard have had this… little–""BIG crush on you, and we started to hate one another because of it and we are so sorry for what we had caused! You can hate us all you want, but please, it was entirely our fault and our recklessness taking over!”
Boombox’s face turned light green as Skateboard waited patiently for your response. You were shocked.
“Please don’t hate us.”
“Hate you?”
Silence. You bursted out laughing soon after. “Hate you? No! Absolutely not! I have a crush on you guys too!”
They stared in shock. You? Loving them both? Wow.
“...” “... FUUUCK YEAAHH!!!”

੭﹕ ̊ ̟ ꒷꒦ Akane Aoi 🦢⋆。𖦹꒷꒦
Aoi was turned sometime around the Meiji period, just before her sixteenth birthday. She came from a rather traditionalist family, which held steadfast to strict gender roles and old-fashioned ideals despite the world changing around them. (I can't give the rest of her backstory away, or else it'd spoil) For reasons unknown as of now, she's stranded in the forest by herself. She's jumpy, afraid, and most of all, hungry. It's difficult to hunt by yourself, after all. She's beginning to regret that decision she made about a hundred years ago. She can't remember the exact number of years at this point.
੭﹕ ̊ ̟ ꒷꒦ Yashiro Nene 🦢⋆。𖦹꒷꒦
Nene attends Kamome Academy, an elite boarding school where she has been unable to make any friends her age. She has a sort of complex about being worthy of going there in the first place. Her upperclassman and roommate, Minami, often lets Nene hang out with her and her friend (girlfriend?) Himari, since she wants to inspire Nene to open up and make friends. Nene ends up getting lost in the forest that lies behind the school gates with a broken flashlight and dead phone. All she can do now is hope that the supposed monster that lies at the heart of the forest doesn't consume her.
੭﹕ ̊ ̟ ꒷꒦ Aoi Akane 🦢⋆。𖦹꒷꒦
Akane is from the meiji period as well, though he rose from the dead in an entirely different way. (I can't say what he is because it would spoil it too, but dw terukane is coming in 1 sec) He's constantly harassed by an exorcist named Teru, who plans to eliminate him. Akane struggles to remember how he died, so he's unable to recall his unfinished business/reason for being resurrected. Teru begrudgingly decides to help him figure out how he died, just so he can get rid of him. No other reason.
Mitsukou is a part of this universe, too !! Kou is still an exorcist who wishes to follow in Teru's footsteps. But, instead, Sousuke is a vampire sired by Tsukasa, who has lost all recollection of his past. Kou isn't quite sure what to do about a vampire ... but he seems harmless, so maybe all he needs is a friend?
✦•┈๑⋅⋯๋࣭ ⭑☁️ ⭑⋯⋅๑┈•✦
I know I might've been a bit vague, but I actually have some writing drabbles/oneshots. Maybe a series planned for this? So far, I mostly have the aoinene storyline planned out, but if things go well, I'll write the terukane and mitsukou ones as well !! I've just been making a bunch of aus to try and nail the characters down since it's a good way for me to try and define their traits.
Tysm if you read all of this !! (㇏( ^ᵥᵥ^ )ノ)

hello im so excited that your ask box is open and youre taking requests! i dont request things often, so this might be a but of a weird concept, and i apologize if its too detailed. however the idea literally wont leave me alone. orz;;
maybe eustass kid has a crush on a somewhat reserved reader whose slow to open up and he hasnt quite realized thats what hes feeling until they stop on an island and meet readers childhood friend. they show a whole new side of themself with said friend by laughing openly, making stupid jokes, being much more physically affectionate. basically reader acts close with an old friend and kid gets jealous about it.
i dont mind if you do a oneshot, drabble, or headcanon, im just curious about your thoughts on this :3 thank you so much and i hope you have a great day!
Hello dear anon! Sure, I'm always happy to write for my pookie. It was fun to write, and it makes me smile a bit because Kid is such a mess, I love this angry tulip. Hope it will match your expectations. ☆
☆Kid with a s/o slow to open up
CW : g/n reader, a bit of cursing but fluff overall
WC : 700
Kid has always been loud. Whenever he's angry, he needs to shoot at someone. What can he say? His heart is filled with emotions, boiling and exploding like a thousand sparks. That's why you're a mystery. Always calm. Not letting others know what's on your mind. What makes you so quiet? He can't tell.
Just like the moon and the sun, you are polar opposites. And yet, as the sun always chases the moon, he's always looking after you. And he's everything, but not discreet. Asking loudly for almost all of his crew what they think about you and why you are so reserved.
Sure, he's used to introverted folks. Killer is one of them. But here's the difference: he can second-guess every word, thought, and breath of his best friend. He could probably achieve all of his sentences. And even through the mask, Kid could also guess the exact expression on Killer's face.
Killer, who is likely aware that Kid has a small crush on you.
Kid is genuinely frustrated. Loudly frustrated, obviously. He needs to feel in control of everything and hates when he doesn’t have a full-understanding. Usually, he fails to notice reserved people because he's taking all the attention. But there's something about you: your slight smiles, the flash in your eyes, the way you're always listening to others but never talk about yourself. He can't tell why, but it keeps his mind alert.
Perhaps you pose a bit of a challenge. Kid would never give two flying fucks about you if you were easy to see through. He's always looking after you because you're still a mystery. Sure, at the beginning, it was just to try to figure out who you really are. But now, it turned into something bigger. He hasn't noticed it yet, that’s all. Kid sucks with feelings. Feelings are actually something he hates because they make him feel weak. It puts his loved one in danger. Showing your weaknesses to enemies is a foolish move, Kid knows that perfectly.
However, everything is about to change. He decided to stop on that island for the day. For the first time, you asked to avoid robbery or harming anyone around.
"Ugh, we're pirates, y/n" Kid doesn't want to look like a nice guy. He's a tough, rude pirate. He has a reputation to uphold. For him, the only good way to open a path is by violent means. Kindness? For what? If he's still alive today, it's because he toughened up and decided to never show mercy to anyone.
"Fine, fine, I won't kill those people." Heavy sighs. But he wants to understand. He needs to understand. And finally, he's about to understand.
Because suddenly, you're smiling heartily and running towards those scumbag strangers. What. The. Fuck. It's like seeing the sun after an eternity of blizzards and grey clouds. You're a bright light, a true sunshine. A burst of joy. You're joking, laughing, talking, and talking a lot. You never said more than two sentences in front of him, and now you're chatting endlessly with those strangers and hugging all of them.
He's pissed off. Are those random people with terrible sense of style and ugly make-up better than him? The great Eustass "Captain" Kid? No way.
"Guys, here's my captain, Kid. Kid, here are my childhood best friends."
Kid's face is a mess of angry scowls and boiling with frustration when they say hello. Why aren't you smiling as warmly when you're with him? Why is his heart pounding so hard, almost painfully in his chest? And damn, is it the cold or are his cheeks completely red?
Poor Kid is both flushed and flustered. His first reflex is always exploding when he feels something. "Do you have a problem with me?" Barking through gritted teeth.
He's ruining the happy-shitty mood and he doesn't care.
So now, try to explain that you don't have a problem with him. Good luck, he's very stubborn. But once he's more or less calmed (because he's still pissed off), he still can't understand why his heart is racing at the sight of your soft, warm smile.
He wants to see that side of you more often. He wants to be part of those privileged people allowed to know the real you.
Yes, maybe he has a crush on you.

Lately I wanted to work, but I started drawing… and BOOM, absolutely at random Rick and Morty in Centaur AU came up…
by this point, I have already come up with a pretty extensive plot around this, so I intend to develop this dimension a little in my head :D
I'm also absolutely thrilled with the dumb pink backpack, so I plan to write a fanfiction-oneshot for this art in the near future, just to make sure that enough attention is paid to the pink backpack.
number of times I fixed this sketch should have been seen... I break and change the poses/hands etc. of the characters
the idea WAS BORN QUICKLY, it was just so instant, "I need centaurs Rick and Morty, who are running from something by jumping into a portal!!!" and I sat down to sketch it quickly, so it's kind of just spontaneous :D
I would also like to show some work with the designs that I started picking at
when I was starting, I couldn't figure out what I wanted to see, and to my surprise, I stumbled more at Rick than at Morty coat, although I've always been bad at bay and buckskin horses, I'm better at dealing with palomino or gray coats, and here it turned out the other way around
But I'm glad that it turned out to be very pleasant and good! So have a look:
As a result, I got 2 versions of Rick - old and youth, a kind of azure handsome alien appearance, just for fun
I really think our looks kind of reflect our essence, don't ya'll think?
When we do not meet on earth such a coat (or hair colour) as Rick's, except perhaps shades of more gray-purple like grulla or blue dun, you will not find such a bright blue and azure and I just found it INCREDIBLY AMAZING in the sense that through his coat you can show a little more in terms of his "strangeness" than when he's just a human being
and about Morty's coat - there's everything much simpler, his usual hair colour in general easily falls on the ordinary most "common" horse coat, let's say so BUT I still didn't want to make him simple chestnut or bay, it was just for me it was meh
I wanted something closer to the chestnut dun coat, and it was quite difficult to make it so that it still fit Morty, but I also didn't want something overly ordinary >:( I wanted to add beige brown and a little crimson, just so that his coat didn't look like dirt - I wanted to show that he was actually a pretty cute young stallion with a cute look (if he would have cared about it a little more...)
I also really wanted to show the difference through their legs and hooves by adding dark stockings and hooves to Rick (Rick's stockings turn noticeably gray with age, as well as a bright dorsal stripe); and light hooves and white socks for Morty!
although I did have thoughts of adding a little more to the bodies, for example a little more ammunition, like boots or bandages to protect their legs
but I thought that Morty wouldn't really think about it in the long run - after all, it's pretty safe on Earth, and as for space it's possible that he doesn't really care, and Rick just doesn't give a heck about it as if losing an arm or a leg or getting a couple of open wounds - is a trivial matter
I've also always been delighted with Rick's cybernetics, so at some point I just took AND BIT OFF RICK'S LEG on art, because who knows what he faced protecting Morty and stuff they originally went for where they went, so I just added a couple of holes where you can see his gold-teal mechanics

For drabble or oneshot honestly anything Shourtmanda but with a little bit of angst and comfort
I’m so sorry for being MIA. Hopefully this extra long drabble makes up for that.
Edit: this is dedicated to @rarespinecatalogue my fellow shourtmanda obsessor

Dating two married people was…weird. It was taking some adjusting, some soul searching, some deep personal validation. It wasn’t that Amanda thought Courtney and Shayne didn’t want her; it was that she was terrified the whole thing could end badly for her at any moment. The two of them were married. They’d still have each other if the experiment went south. Amanda would have no one but herself and she’d be devastated because fuck, she hadn’t just fallen in love with them. She’d landed face first on concrete.
At the very least, work didn’t change much. Not where Shayne was concerned, anyway. Sure maybe his gaze was a little softer. Maybe his smile held on a few extra seconds. It made Amanda’s heart flutter, but she could handle that. What was harder to handle was Courtney. Courtney was doing a number on Amanda like she’d never experienced. They’d always been touchy with each other. Always lovey and complimentary. Amanda had always put more behind it. Courtney never seemed to mind the flirting, so Amanda just doubled down. Doubled down so hard that she developed a very embarrassing crush, like she was a teenager again. It wasn’t her fault. Everything about Courtney was so fucking attractive. She brought light into every room. She was so funny and so sweet and so goddamn gorgeous. Amanda was powerless.
She managed to keep a lid on it for awhile. It was just playful flirtation between friends. Hand grabs and shoulder squeezes and hugs that went on just that second too long. It was fine. Amanda was keeping it together. Then, Courtney kissed her in the middle of a bit. It was all fun and games until you were playing characters in a situationship. Granted, Woody and Bo Peep weren’t the sexiest scenario, and the kiss was more a mashing of faces. Still. They didn’t plan it. They didn’t talk about it. Courtney just did it. Blacked out and leaned in and egged Amanda on.
She apologized profusely afterward, and Amanda – body still reeling – just waved her off. “It’s all good, Court. I know what it’s like to get lost in a character.”
And Courtney smiled and made a Sarah Christ joke, and that was that.
No. That was almost that.
The pretend kiss became a real kiss a couple of weeks later, Courtney catching Amanda completely off guard in the parking lot when she was walking out to her car. The office was already emptied out; no one else besides Shayne could’ve possibly caught them. Maybe Amanda should’ve clocked that Courtney didn’t at all seem concerned, but her brain blanked out the second Courtney’s soft lips actually touched hers. It lasted maybe ten seconds. It could’ve been the best ten seconds of Amanda’s life. Especially when Courtney pulled back with a warm smile on her face.
“You have no idea how badly I’ve been wanting to do that.”
Amanda laughed, low and breathless, back pressing into the drivers side door of her own car. “I think I do, actually.”
That just made Courtney smile wider.
Amanda wanted to sink into the moment. She wanted to kiss Courtney again. Instead, there were sirens going off. “What about Shayne?”
She didn’t actually think Courtney was cheating. That was fully out of character for her, and 100 percent something she wouldn’t just do to Shayne, knowing how deeply traumatized he was from an earlier relationship. The gears were spinning in Amanda’s mind, but she couldn’t quite figure out what the game was.
“Who do you think told me to go for it?”
That was then, and this – this was now. The seduction was in full swing, and Amanda was gone. She couldn’t wrap her head around how quickly she’d succumbed. All it took was Courtney batting her eyelashes. All it took was Shayne fixating on her with those crystal blue eyes. She was down and out and so, so loved up it was getting silly. She should’ve been tempering her expectations. They weren’t going to be with her forever. They were married, for fuck’s sake. They were a unit. Amanda was extra. Wanted, sure. Desired, yes. Needed? Not a chance.
It was hard to keep thinking that when Courtney was clinging so hard, though. The smiles, the touches, the looks. Amanda was going crazy, and she was going crazy all alone because Shayne was being normal Shayne. She envied his ability to compartmentalize because she could barely look at him without thinking about how she knew his kisses and his body and his…nope, couldn’t think about that during business hours.
Easy. Fine. Smosh Mouth was done for the day, anyway. She didn’t have any more videos with Shayne. He fell into step beside her, anyway, as she was walking back to sit down in the common area.
“Do you want to talk about anything, Amanda? You seem a little out of it.”
Ugh, she hated him. No, that wasn’t true. She loved him, and that was so fucking unfortunate. He was imploring her with his eyes. She could see how badly he wanted to reach out a hand and comfort her, but the optics. The three of them were still trying to figure out what their professional personas were now. It wasn’t like the office didn’t know they were friends, though.
“I’m okay, Shayne. Just tired.” She smiled at him, eyes scanning his gorgeous face, gaze flicking down to his lips subconsciously. He caught her doing it, and gave a knowing grin of his own.
“I’ll see you in a couple of hours, yeah? I’m gonna head home now and get everything started.”
He was making her and Courtney dinner. A new recipe that he’d never tried before. Amanda was trying not to think of it as a date, but it felt so much like a date.
“Yes. Bye, Shayne. Drive safe.”
She had to drive Courtney over. That particular detail wasn’t lost on her. Close quarters with Courtney for fifteen entire minutes. Amanda already knew she was doomed. Whatever she felt for Shayne was child’s play compared to how intense her new feelings for Courtney were becoming. She power walked to the common area, where she could finally sit down and be alone. Just for a second. She just needed a second. She crossed her arms on the table and dropped her head down. The rush of her insecurity came back in full force. She didn’t know what was bringing it on. Shayne hadn’t done anything. She’d only seen Courtney once all day, and nothing about their interaction had been out of the ordinary, either. Amanda was just scared of her own influx of emotion. It’d come up so quickly and with such force. And she wasn’t just going to lose one person if her feelings weren’t returned with the same ferocity. She was going to lose two.
There was a hand against her shoulder blades, a warm, lingering caress. She was hoping to anyone who would listen that it wasn’t Courtney, but only Courtney would touch her with that much intent, that much confidence. She lifted her head. Her instinct was correct. There Courtney was, looking so effortlessly gorgeous in her denim jacket and black skirt combo.
Amanda felt her mouth go dry. Her body was activated, emotional turmoil be damned. “Court.”
“Hey.” Courtney smiled so big. “How’s it going?”
Two nights ago, they’d been all over each other. Lips and tongue and teeth and hands. Amanda didn’t know how to be normal about it. She wanted to drag Courtney into her lap right now. Wanted those hands cupping her face, the warmth of Courtney’s legs around her. Hot, desperate kisses like they were keeping each other alive.
“All good, Court.” Amanda nodded as if she were trying to reassure herself. “Just been a weird couple of weeks, hasn’t it?”
Courtney let out a giggly sigh. “I guess that’s my fault, huh?”
“What?! No.” Amanda stood up in an instant, her chest tightening at the idea that Courtney thought she wasn’t happy about the new arrangement. “That’s not what I meant. I’m just adjusting, baby.”
The ‘baby’ wouldn’t have stood out to anyone who happened to be nearby. Court called her that all the time. She did the same to Angela and Arasha. It was a little habit Amanda picked up. It just happened to have real meaning now.
Courtney reached over to fan her fingertips along the back of Amanda’s hand. “We’ll talk about it at home.”
Home. Amanda almost collapsed to the ground. Between the affection drenched in the words and the warmth in Courtney’s green eyes, she could’ve doubled over. How was she supposed to feel. What was she supposed to do. Amanda squeezed at Courtney’s fingers, and inadvertently felt the cool metal of her wedding ring. Outsider. She was an outsider. She’d invaded a marriage.
“I don’t know what to do, Court.” She said, the honesty spilling out of her. “I can’t be casual about this.”
Courtney’s brow lifted in adorable confusion. “Is someone asking you to be?”
“No, but…”
“Amanda.” Courtney stepped closer, but immediately glanced around. They weren’t alone. So much crew was eating lunch or just chatting. Even Arasha, Angela, and Chanse were sitting together at a far table. “Let’s go home.”
“I have to go shoot a Games video.”
“Text Spencer and tell him you’re not feeling well. I’m not going to let you dwell on this the rest of the day.”
Amanda had never heard such intensity in Courtney’s tone. “All right.”
-
Courtney was annoyed at herself. Hopelessly, ridiculously annoyed that she’d somehow fucked it up. Amanda was terrified. Courtney could practically smell the fear coming off her. The insecurity, the uncertainty. She hated that she’d gone about it impulsively instead of simply leading with the fact that she was in love with Amanda. Helplessly so. She should’ve just told Amanda that she brought the news to Shayne like the world was ending and he just looked at her and told her that he understood because he was falling for Amanda, too. It was the most unreal sense of synergy Courtney had ever experienced with Shayne and that was saying something. He was truly her partner in everything and she was so heart stoppingly in love with him.
That thing about being able to fall in love with more than one person wasn’t just a myth, though.
Just looking at Amanda made Courtney’s head spin and her heart stutter and sent the butterflies fluttering inside her. She couldn’t believe that Amanda didn’t see it in her. Maybe she did and was just scared to accept it. Courtney hadn’t thought about how strange the whole thing must’ve felt for Amanda. One day, she was one of Shayne and Courtney’s closest friends, and the next, she was literally being seduced. She was rightfully uncertain. How did she know it wasn’t just a sex thing. She knew Shayne and Courtney almost better than anyone, so it was probably pretty clear to her that it wasn’t necessarily an impulsive decision. Courtney and Shayne over-communicated as a pastime. They ran the Amanda thing over and over again for weeks on end until they were both sure. Courtney was regretting the way she’d approached Amanda. She’d let her body lead instead of her heart and now Amanda was spooked.
It was okay. It was an easy fix. She just needed Shayne to be present, too. Which was why she implored Amanda to leave with her as soon as possible. Courtney didn’t want to let the uncertainty fester. She didn’t want Amanda to be afraid at all. The car ride back to the house was normal, if a little quiet. Courtney spent the whole time feeling more and more irritated with herself. She couldn’t wait to set the record straight. She just didn’t want to do it alone. She didn’t want to leave any kind of room for Amanda to doubt what it all was.
The engine clicked off in their driveway and Courtney jumped out of the car, circling around the front until she was standing at the driver’s side door. She opened it for Amanda and put a hand out, a real smile on her face.
Amanda just shook her head, one hand sliding its fingers right between Courtney’s. “Chivalry is not dead, huh.”
“Not for me.” Courtney replied cheekily. She tugged at Amanda’s hand to keep her from walking away for a moment. Amanda came right back, baffled smile touching her lips. Courtney just leaned up onto her tiptoes and drew Amanda down into a kiss. Amanda melted against her for a long second before breaking the connection, both hands stroking at Courtney’s lower back.
“What was that for?” She murmured.
“Just because.” Courtney said, once again taking Amanda by the hand so they could go inside.
Amanda rubbed her thumb along Courtney’s knuckles, and followed.
-
He didn’t know if he was ever going to get used to the way seeing both of them walk in felt. His body was always warm and comforted at the sight of Courtney, but it felt like an extra whirlwind through his nerve endings to see Amanda beside her, the two of them holding hands. He stepped away from the pot on the stove to greet them. Instinctively, he leaned in to kiss Courtney, but was more than happy to lean up into Amanda, too, especially when Courtney encouraged it with a hand at the back of his head. The next thing to hit him was a wave of confusion as Amanda pulled away, fingertips still lingering along his jaw, but a look of uncertainty on her face.
Shayne just glanced at Courtney, who’s lips were pursed, her green eyes set on Amanda. Amanda looked from one of them back to the other, her hands moving back to her sides.
Shayne was the first to lock in. He’d been noticing all day that Amanda wasn’t quite herself. “Amanda, you’re going to have to tell us what’s wrong.”
“Did we overstep, baby?” Courtney threw in, one hand stroking along Amanda’s shoulder.
Amanda clenched her jaw and sighed, eyes flitting around the room. He didn’t know Amanda to get nervous around him or Courtney, but this was definitely nerves. He put a hand to her other shoulder, and waited patiently for her to look at them again. “I love you guys.”
She didn’t elaborate. Regardless, that didn’t sound like a problem to Shayne. “We love you, too.”
“No, Shayne. I’m in love with you. Both of you. And it’s so fucking scary. I’ve been on the verge of passing out all day.”
Courtney stepped in closer, drawing Amanda’s eyes and body toward her. “What’s so scary? We’ve got you, Mandy.”
“Yeah, for now, but you’re…” Amanda exhaled again, the fear flitting across her face again. “You’re married, Court. I can’t just invade that forever.”
“Amanda.” Shayne squeezed at her shoulder so she’d look at him. “We’re in love with you, too.”
“Yes.” Courtney said, pressing further into Amanda’s arms. “You’re not invading anything. We want you here with us. For as long as you want to be.”
“Really?” Amanda’s voice was breathless and emotional.
“I’m sorry if we – I - didn’t make that more clear. I kind of just threw myself at you.” Courtney giggled as Amanda’s arms tightened around her.
“It’s okay, Court. I just…I don’t want to lose this, you know. It’s pretty incredible.”
“Yeah. Yeah, it is.”
Shayne couldn’t help but agree. How lucky was he to have fallen in love with not one, but both of his best friends. Luckier still to have them both choose him. Sure, it wasn’t a traditional happy ending, but it was his, and he’d be damned if anyone was going to take it away.

Author’s Comments: Disaster in the making
MHA oneshot: (xReader) smut fic. Character: Shigaraki Tomura
I went on a side quest in the last few weeks to teach myself how to write smut. It was unplanned, kind of just decided to write this randomly one weekend.
I was like, I don’t have to work on Monday, why don’t I use this 3-day-long weekend to write a quick 1–2 k words long oneshot (that somehow ended up 7.7k words long, idk how) to try my hand at smut? I was already planning on writing some sex scenes for my other fic TLK (a DazaixReader BSD fic), but I knew I would struggle once it was time to actually write them.
So I wanted to dip my toes in the art, you know, figure out the vocabulary and the expressions I should use, but more importantly, desensitize my shy ass to sex scene writing. I’m not like, a shy, innocent little girl who knows nothing of sex and would never touch it with a ten-foot pole, but I am a bit uncomfortable with the subject. But like, only when it comes from me? Like, anyone else talks sex with me and I’m fine, but you’ll NEVER catch me admitting to wanting to kiss a fictional character, that’s too much for my pure soul (/j).
I ended up stuck at one point when I was writing the first kiss scene and later on when the smut actually began. I was too shy to put my thoughts on paper, so this whole process ended up taking me 3 weeks instead of 3 days. But I powered through it, and once I got into the groove of writing, it wasn’t so bad! But it still felt so damn awkward lmao.
Anyways, enough with my personal struggles with the concept of sexuality. Overall, I think I didn’t do too bad, I’m pretty satisfied with the end result even though there are some things I would change if I were to go back. I think the entirety of the beginning of the fic (flirting with the hero + Tomura’s introduction) could be SIGNIFICANTLY cut down. I think it’s way too long, too much fake plot for my “Porn without Plot” oneshot lmao. It might have been a symptom of my nervousness to write porn, like I was nervous to actually write it so I kept coming up with useless things as a way to push back the thing that made me nervous, you know.
I also think the switch between “these characters are fighting” to “these characters are fucking” is pretty awkward. I did what I could with the whole jealousy thing, I think I could’ve executed it better, but whatever. This was meant as a writing exercise so I could practise a bit, so I guess it’s normal for it to feel weird and clumsy sometimes.
On top of that, I would have liked the 3 different sex acts to be longer. Compared to the beginning of the one-shot (and the never ending make out sesh that was also an attempt at avoiding the smut), it felt pretty short. I personally wouldn’t say it was rushed, since I spent at least 2 weeks on that part only (it’s fine if you disagree with this lmao), but still, it went by pretty fast when I read through the whole thing again at the end.
Anyways, that’s pretty much it for my comments. Even though I struggled quite a bit, I’m really happy to have gotten out of my comfort zone and to have tried out something new. I feel pretty good right now, and I’m ready to jump back on my TLK grind (I’ll try not to make you guys wait too long for another update lmao). I’ll say, working on fics in parallel to my 9 to 5 and my summer class is really hard, but it’s getting better!
Also, here’s a meme I made that perfectly encapsulates something that happened to me while writing this thing:

Asshole did it 3 times in an hour, gave me a heart attack every time (he needed help with his math homework lmao).
Thank you so much for reading these comments, I really hope you enjoyed my work! See you guys later! Much love <3<3<3<3

Festive- Chifuyu Matsuno x OC Oneshot
Okay, so this is my first Tumblr post ever and I am lowkey afraid I am botching it a bit, but when I get the hang of this I'll change it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this medium sized story of mine. English isn't my first language, and I'm very nervous to press post.
Chifuyu didn't know what to expect. He was brought along by Baji-san and Kazutora-kun. Telling him there was this band they had to see at the upcoming festival. The ticket was already brought for him. While he wasn't really into Heavy Metal or Hard Rock, he couldn't deny the bands they had seen already weren't awful. But eventually, hunger struck and Chifuyu wandered off to find something to eat. He tried to inform the two who forced him along, but he couldn't find them anymore. Well, he could always find them anyway. Baji-san was very distinctive so that wouldn't be an issue. Trudging through the masses of people, finding something to eat wasn't hard. The issue was that Chifuyu didn't know what he wanted to eat. There was so much to choose from. “Can't make a decision?” A female voice asked him. Chifuyu turned towards the voice and saw a young woman, around his own age, standing next to him. Looking kind of lost, just like him. Chifuyu couldn't help but check her out. The woman was wearing black combat boots with knee-length purple and black socks. Above that, a very short skintight black skirt, a cotton black jacket wrapped around her waist and her top was just a piece of purple fabric around her chest area. Which made her breasts pop out even more, as her skin was relatively pale. Her vibrant red hair, Chifuyu wasn't sure if that was her natural hair color, was slightly curling and hanging loose over her shoulders. Around her neck was a leather collar with a cat bell attached to it. Her teal colored eyes were scanning the sign in front of them. When he thought he had seen every thing about the woman, her eyes turned towards him. “Cat got your tongue?” She asked playfully, her left hand making a pawing motion. Like a cat would make sometimes. “Just checking.” Chifuyu said, hoping his face wouldn't betray that he was actually checking her out. “The menu or me?” A smug smile graced her dark purple colored lips. “Would you mind if I said both?” Chifuyu didn't know where he got the guts to ask that, but here he stood. Blurting out the first reaction on his mind. “You're pretty cool, answering smoothly like that. Your girlfriend must like your witty comebacks.” The woman said as she turned back to the menu. “I can only hope she will one day.” Chifuyu said, trying to hide he was single. “One day, you single?” The woman asked confused. Chifuyu shrugged. “Shame, you look like quite a catch. Hey, let's pretend we are a couple.” The woman said and Chifuyu wasn't sure if she was joking or not. “If we do this, for how long?” He couldn't help but baiting. “The rest of the day. At least, until Okami gets on. I really wanna be there.” The woman said smiling. While Chifuyu wouldn't mind, he wasn't really sure. “Come on. It will be fun! And my friends are kind of snooze-fests. So they won't be here anyway.” The woman said trying to hype him up for it. What was the worst that could happen? And he had been single for a long time, sharing this day would make it better. “Okay, deal. But I have no idea when Okami is playing, as this isn't really my type of music. So you have to guide me.” Chifuyu confessed. “Figured you weren't like me. Your whole outfit screams unfit. But we can change that if you want.” The hyperactive woman said as she pulled him with her. “Where are we going?” Chifuyu asked confused, barely unable to keep up. “I finally found something worthy of eating.” She said excited.
After they had something to eat, which was strangely enough Onigiri's, the woman pulled him along to the market area. “So, what are you normally in to?” The woman asked interested. Had she ever introduced herself? Chifuyu couldn't remember. “Cats, my friends, but musicwise I am pretty mainstream. Baji-san and Kazutora-kun, friends of mine, forced me to come with them and enjoy. But I have to say that I am not disliking it.” Chifuyu explained. “Hm, okay. So you have never heard Okami?” The woman asked. Chifuyu shook his head. “You are missing out so much, but that's fine. You'll hear them later anyway. They are the closing act tonight.” “I know we are pretending to date, but I never got your name.” Chifuyu said, unsure if he was rude or not. “I didn't? Sorry, silly me. I'm Mine. That's enough.” Mine introduced herself, bowing dramatically. Her hair fell down and only by then Chifuyu could see a massive back piece tattoo of a wolf between her shoulder blades. And a smaller one of a flower on the left side. “Nice tattoo.” Chifuyu commented impressed. The redhead quickly stood straight, blushing a bit. “Thanks, stranger.” She commented back. “Chifuyu, Matsuno Chifuyu. But Chifuyu is fine.” Chifuyu introduced himself coolly. At least he thought it was cool. “Fuyu, huh.” Mine said smiling softly, but was quickly distracted by something. Pulling him along, he was forced to be a dress up doll. It took a while, but Mine was confident about his current outfit. It was a black skinny jeans with metal chains attached. Something Baji-san would for sure wear. And a band shirt of Okami. The front was, strangely enough, the same picture of a wolf as Mine had on her back. “Is it a coincidence that your tattoo and the picture on this shirt is the same?” Chifuyu asked sceptically. “I'm one of their biggest fans. So no.” Mine said laughing. Chifuyu wanted to walk up to the seller to buy the items, when Mine pulled him along with her. “But I need to pay for them.” Chifuyu objected. “I already did for you. No worries.” Mine said with a bright smile. “Did you want to go on pretend-dating so you could spoil a guy?” Chifuyu asked bluntly as they passed several stands. “Maybe, but you also look cute so it's a win for us both.” Mine said as she stopped in front of a jewelry stand. There were several beautiful pieces, like earrings, necklaces, rings. There was something that pulled Chifuyu. It was a necklace with a black cat. Looking at it closer, it kind of looked like Peke-J, his own cat. He flagged the seller and quickly, but silently, bought it. While Mine was still looking at rings. “Go for the red one.” Chifuyu commented as he stood next to her. “You sure? Isn't it a bit too, I don't know, underwhelming?” She asked him doubting. “Not all things need to be obnoxious or loud.” Chifuyu said with a smile. The woman looked stunned. She tried it and it fitted like a glove. “Just like fate. But, I think I would go for the light blue one, instead of the red one.” She said determined. “Oh, any reason for it?” Chifuyu asked interested. “Someone told me that not all things need to be obnoxious or loud.” Mine replied with a cheeky smile.
Together they visited some smaller bands and found spots to talk a bit more about their lives. Chifuyu couldn't help bringing up his friends as well. “So, let me get this a-sexual.” Mine started and Chifuyu was slightly confused but realized what she meant about five seconds later. “This Baji-san friend of yours, you met him because you thought he was some random gang member and would walk around like he own the fucking place. Only to see a nerd with slick hair and glasses.” Mine tried to connect it. “Yeah, he was the typical pointdexter. But then I looked at what he was doing and I was even more shocked that the whole facade he had was just a ruse. He couldn't spell for shit.” Chifuyu continued. “Was he dyslexic or something?” Mine asked. Chifuyu shrugged. “He never tested for it.” “Okay, I need a description of this guy because I can't imagine how that would've looked.” Mine said almost bouncing in the grass. “Oh, BAJI, I found him!” The voice of Kazutora-kun sounded from not too far away. Chifuyu turned around and saw the dual-colored friend of him. “Where the fuck have you been?” Baji-san asked him. “Ah, sorry. I stole him for a date for a day.” Mine said smiling as she put on her jacket. “Chifuyu, did you go shopping?” Kazutora-kun asked confused. “Among other things.” Chifuyu smiled before he turned towards Mine. “Mine, these are my friends. The guy with the tiger tattoo in his neck is Kazutora-kun,” Chifuyu started to introduce his friends. “And you must be Baji-san.” Mine said as she turned towards Baji-san. “I take it Chifuyu told about me?” Baji-san asked. “Just imagining you with glasses. Did he had this length hair as well, Fuyu?” Mine asked as she turned towards him. “It was slightly shorter but yeah.” Chifuyu answered. “Okay, I can totally imagine it now. I get your double take. He doesn't look like a nerd. More like a gang leader.” Mine commented as she checked him out. Chifuyu wasn't sure if this pretend-dating would last long. “Thankfully I'm not into black haired guys. One of my friends is.” Mine added and pointed up and down to Baji-san. “That whole ecstatic you have, my friend would drool the moment she saw you.” “And where is your friend?” Kazutora-kun asked. “I have no clue. I came here with a couple of friends but they were too mentally hung over to explore. But they will be there when Okami starts playing.” Mine shrugged. “They play in about an hour. And the area is pretty big. You sure you don't need to find them?” Baji-san asked sceptically. Mine shook her head. “It will work out. Else we had a meet up point. I'll see them there. But I would like to go into the ferris wheel. As closing for the date?” Mine basically begged Chifuyu to go with her. And while they were still pretend-dating, why shouldn't he do something truly romantic? “I'll see you later.” Chifuyu said as he grabbed Mine's wrist and pulled her along to the ferris wheel.
The ride wasn't extremely long but long enough for Chifuyu to surprise Mine with a small gift. “But Fuyu, you shouldn't have.” Mine said bashfully. “You paid for the clothes I'm wearing, it's a small thing to do. A reminder of our pretend-dating.” Chifuyu said as he put the necklace around her neck. “Thank you. I won't forget this.” Mine said and in the reflection of the window, Chifuyu could see her rub away a tear. Mine turned around and stared at him for a bit. “Yeah, you would be a perfect boyfriend.” She commented and kissed him. No warning, no hesitation. Chifuyu was shocked for a split second but moved along with her motions. It was so soft and tender, yet also fiery and energetic. He had known her for like half a day but the kiss reflected her so much. “Andalsoagoodkissertoo.” Mine spoke too quickly when she broke away. Chifuyu couldn't help but chuckle. “What? Did my ADHD act up again?” Mine asked. It explained her whole distracted-squirrel actions. But it was cute. “Maybe. I didn't know you had ADHD.” Chifuyu said calmly but smiling. “Liar, I've been all over the place the whole day.” Mine said as she got up. They were almost down again, meaning they probably need to say goodbye. “Well, I guess this is goodbye?” Chifuyu asked. “Yeah, but I'm sure you'll find me again.” Mine said with a smile. They got off and she kissed him one more time before sprinting away. “Way to go, lover boy~” Kazutora-kun cat-called. Chifuyu turned around to see his elders standing next to the exit. Kazutora-kun smiling like a cat who had the cream and Baji-san with a semi-amused smile. “Come on, I want to get in front with Okami.” Baji-san said and moved way from them. The semi-last band was playing on the other stage, so the stage where Okami would play was almost empty. If they were on time they had front row standing spots which would be cool. Thankfully, they were able to get the best places as well. The semi-last band was finished and the people started to gather around them. “Baji-san, why did you want to go to this band?” Chifuyu asked interested. “Because their sound is amazing, and I do find the one who does keyboard hot.” His black haired friend answered. “Nah, not her. The rhythm Guitar player. She is smoking.” Kazutora-kun commented. “Are you fucking blind?” Baji-san was ready to throw down, Chifuyu could see it. But he was also trying to find a certain interesting girl he was lucky to spend the day with. For being one of their biggest fans, she was sure missing out.
Before Chifuyu knew, the first tones of a guitar sounded from the speakers. Then the drums would add. A heavy distortion on guitar. Then all came together, except for the vocals. The whole crowd went wild, while Chifuyu had turned back to the stage. The moment he heard the vocals, he was shocked. That voice was Mine! But huh? He was so confused. Had he spend the whole afternoon and evening with the lead singer of Okami? Looking at the outfit of the vocalist, it was almost the same as Mine had worn all day. The song progressed and his two friends moved along with the song. The vocalist didn't fully shown herself yet, as her face was still covered by her hood. Only at the end of the song, the vocalist turned around and threw the jacket off. The same tattoos he had complemented before stared at him. It was Mine. Her vibrant red hair was braided and slung over her shoulder. “Good Evening Crazyheads!” Mine yelled in the mic. The whole field went wild. Howling loudly. Like it was something normal. “That sounds like a good crowd. Don't ya think girls?” Mine asked the other band members. “Could be louder. I mean, I DIDN'T HEAR SHIT!” The drummer yelled at all of them. This time, Chifuyu howled with everyone. “They sure love to howl for all of us.” The lead Guitarist said amused. “Well, we need to give them what they howled for, don't we.” Mine said seductive. “They all seem like... LOST BOYS!” Mine announced and that was probably the next introduction to the song. Because the other band members started to play. Right now, Chifuyu felt stupid that he never really listened to Okami, even though Baji-san said it was really good. Then again, this was the first time he listen to them and he was surprised how good they were live. Some more songs were played, when Mine suddenly took a moment. “Girls, I know you hate me doing this. But I need to do it.” She said to her fellow band members. “Do what?” The drummer asked confused. “Play THAT song.” Mine said like it explained everything. The rest of the band looked with a certain look at their vocalist. But then the rhythm guitarist started to play something and Chifuyu could see that this was exactly what Mine meant. The notes and words passed Chifuyu and for the first time during this show, everything just hit the right spot. And it showed a whole new Mine in his eyes. The lyrics sung about seeing someone and feeling their heart burst into fire again and it resonated with him. So much that he felt so in sync, he was sold. Okami was a band that would be added in his music collection. A couple songs more and the show was over. They had to go back to their tents, as this was a multiple day festival. It was just the weekend but that was fair. The last show was done and he could've chosen to go to the rock cafe but Chifuyu was also quite tired. That last show impressed him pretty much.
“So, what do you think?” Kazutora-kun asked. “Of?” Chifuyu asked suspiciously. “Okami of course. What else?” Baji-san commented. “They are really good. But this is the first time I heard them so I don't really know anything.” Chifuyu tried to wave it off but internally, he was so hype about Okami. He wished he knew about them before. “And say, the rhythm guitarist was smoking.” Kazutora-kun nudged. “Kazutora you are seriously blind. The keyboard player killed it.” Baji-san punched his best friend. “Actually, the vocalist was very sexy. Not gonna lie.” Chifuyu said casually as he took one step extra to get in front of both Kazutora-kun and Baji-san. “The vocalist? No, she isn't sexy. Cute maybe. But not sexy.” Baji-san said. “I do get Chifuyu's opinion. I mean, that chest area of hers does look huge.” Kazutora-kun commented. But to Chifuyu it wasn't just her chest. It was the whole picture. The tattoo's, the collar, the over-the-top scandalous wardrobe. And it looked like she didn't gave a shit. “Did you see she wore a collar. She could easily be leashed.” Baji-san said. “She must be often, she was all over the stage. I wanna know how her band mates keep up with that.” Kazutora-kun asked out loud. “Well, I'm going to the tent. See you tomorrow?” Chifuyu asked. “Depends, we're not going to make it too late. We still need to go home on time.” Baji-san said. “I'll find out when you get back.” Chifuyu said and walked towards the camping area.
The camping was pretty calm, a lot of people were still on the festival area. So Chifuyu didn't hesitate to grab his own bluetooth box and started to softly play something less heavy. Elton John sounded well. “So excuse me forgetting, But these things I do, you see. I've forgotten, if they're green or they're blue. Anyway the thing is. What I really mean.” Chifuyu softly sung along the song. “Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen.” The voice of Mine sounded from behind him. Turning around quickly enough to hear some vertebrae crack, he saw the woman who he pretend-dated with. “I know the classics too.” She said calmly. Chifuyu couldn't believe it. “But, your band...” Chifuyu whispered confused. “Will try and get some poor guys numbers just for the chase of it. They always do that.” Mine said as she sat down in the chair next to him. “Not my style. I rather find something deeper.” She said easily and fished something out of her pocket. It was a cigarette. “You mind?” She asked before fishing out a lighter. “Normally I don't like it when people smoke. But you are the exception.” Chifuyu said calmly. “I must be a special person then.” Mine said with a soft smile. The songs Chifuyu played were slow romantic ballads and he could feel Mine lean against his shoulder. Not lighting the cancer stick yet. Chifuyu couldn't push her away and honestly he enjoyed the intimacy of this. “You are the first guy I met that I did this with. Normally I find girls who looks slightly lost or insecure and pretend to be their bestie for a day.” Mine confessed, after some silence. “Dressing them up and talk with them?” Chifuyu asked as he wrapped his arm around her. “The M.O is the same as I did with you. The only change was that you are a guy.” Mine snuggled a little bit closer. Chifuyu didn't know what to say to that. “A guy who is attractive, funny, cute, kind, loving and strangely enough still single.” Mine slightly joked. “What about you?” Chifuyu asked. “Dating and being a pretty big name in a certain genre is just not working out. I tried but most guys give up when they can't show me off. I'm in a band because I like being in a band. Not because I wanted to end up this famous. But that is the risk of it all.” Mine sighed. Chifuyu concluded that she was, just like him, single. “And of course the ADHD is most of the time a deal breaker. Especially when my meds are offline.” Mine huffed. “You mean when your inner squirrel wakes up?” Chifuyu joked. Mine sat up straight, looked him in his eyes and started laughing. “Yeah, exactly that. I never thought about it like that. I'll remind that.” Mine said entertained. “I'm just a cool guy with witty comebacks who hopes his future girlfriend would like.” Chifuyu reminded her of the word she had used when they met. “I'm sure she would. Else, she isn't worth your time.” Mine said as she caressed his cheek for a second. “Are you always this calm after a show?” Chifuyu asked her, noticing she was less all over the place than she was before. “Normally not. But normally I'm not with the person who I spend the day with in an intimate setting with romantic music and just calm and cool vibes.” Mine replied calmly, staring at the grass. Silence washed over them and Chifuyu couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to Mine, now that he knew who she was. “I should go. Before I fall asleep in this chair.” Mine said, yawning. She did look extremely tired. “You can stay the night. I have my own tent and a bed too big for myself.” Chifuyu suggested. Mine chuckled. “Smooth, trying to get me into your bed.” She said amused. “It's all up to you. If you want to sleep, we sleep. If you want something else, you can get it. I'm just offering.” Chifuyu said as he yawned as well. “Got an extra pillow?” Mine asked as she looked behind her, towards the tent. “I'm sure we manage to work something out.” Chifuyu said with a soft but tired smile.
The next morning, Chifuyu's phone woke him up. Right, they had to leave. As he reached out to his phone to turn the alarm off, he noticed that he was lying on bed alone. While he was sure Mine had spent in his tent. While he found it a shame, he could also understand. She must be back on the road with her band. Sighing, he opened the tent, seeing his friends had managed to find their tents back. Their shoes were outside of the tent, indicating they were in. Chifuyu stood up straight and stretched his whole body, feeling several pops. It was time to wake up a grumpy wolf and probably a cranky tiger. “Guys, wake up. It's morning.” Chifuyu said as he softly shook their tents. Kazutora-kun was the first to pop his head out of his tent. “Morning.” The eldest grunted. He looked like he had quite a short night sleep. Or just didn't sleep comfortable enough. “Morning.” Chifuyu greeted calmly and grabbed two cans of cola. Handing one over to Kazutora-kun. “How late did you get in?” Chifuyu asked interested. “Obviously way too late. But I did manage to flirt with some hot girls. Didn't get their numbers though. You?” Kazutora-kun reacted sleepy. “Hour after I came here. Managed to get the girl I was pretend-dating in my tent.” Chifuyu said proudly. “Fucking lucky. Good job.” Kazutora-kun said impressed. “You didn't fuck her.” The grumpy voice of Baji-san sounded roughly as the black haired male popped his head out of his tent. “You got me. But I did get her in my tent.” Chifuyu repeated. “Shame man, she looked okay.” Kazutora-kun commented. “What's that on your arm?” Baji-san asked as he pointed at Chifuyu's left arm. Chifuyu looked at it and saw that something was written with a marker. '09060711221.' Chifuyu hoped it wasn't permanent marker but he could only imagine who would've written that. “A phone number.” Chifuyu said smugly. “Fuck me, Chifuyu had more luck with the girls than we had, Baji.” Kazutora-kun moaned annoyed. “Well fuck. Guess we need to up our game next time.” Baji-san grunted. Chifuyu couldn't help but smiling. His friends apparently didn't notice that the number he had gotten was the number of the lead vocalist and apparently leader of Okami. Their favorite band.
Mineko managed to write down her personal number without waking Fuyu up. She had to get out of the tent before his alarm went off and she wasn't able to leave. And her friends/bandmembers would hang her if she didn't came back on time. The camping was silent, leave some very loud snoring people. But the sun was starting to rise so she should be going. When she arrived at the tour bus, one of her bandmates, Akina, looked at her with confusion. “Did you even sleep last night?” The eldest of the band asked as her emerald green eyes stared at Mineko, analyzing her. “I slept better than I ever did. Why do you ask?” Mineko replied confused. “Cuz it looks like you have been sniffing coke all night. And not the soda version.” Akina commented as she took a sip of her, probably, massively strong coffee. “Nah, managed to find someone who could handle me.” Mineko said with a wink. “Fucking slut. Knew you weren't all goody good.” Their drummer, Himiko, said as the blond stepped out of the tour bus. “Talking about goody good. Where were you yesterday? Normally you arrive earlier backstage. But now you were almost late?” The woman with glasses, Aiko, asked. “I was having the time of my life.” “You definitely fucked someone. No way you are this upbeat after a show.” Their lead guitarist, Kiriko, commented, sporting a cup of coffee. “She didn't. But she did had something going on. Else you wouldn't ask us to play heart burst into fire. You hate that song with a passion after Yamagata Satoru.” Nanako, their bass guitarist commented. “Just a guy who didn't belong here. But he was different.” Mineko said with a knowing smile. “What kind of guy?” Aiko asked, slightly ticked off. “A cool guy with witty comebacks and strangely enough no girlfriend.” Mineko shrugged. When they were well on the road, Mineko saw she had a message on her personal phone. 'So, ready to have a real date with a cool guy with witty comebacks who is still single?'

Bugs Bunny's Best Battles

This month of July marks a very special occasion: the 85th Birthday of one the most famous animated characters of all time, Bugs Bunny. Alongside Mickey Mouse, Bugs is arguably the single most iconic cartoon character in the history of American animation. The character’s evolution over the years has been quite a wild ride: initially, Bugs was very similar to his rival and fellow Looney Tunes star, Daffy Duck, with each being portrayed as zany screwballs who tended to act as agents of chaos, messing with people basically just for the heck of it. Over time, however, Bugs would change in just about every sense: his physical appearance, his voice (originally provided by the incomparable Mel Blanc), and the way he functioned as a character all shifted. The Bugs we recognize today is a confident showman of a character who really only becomes a problem when he’s provoked. He’s generally not a bad guy, but if you push him too hard, you’re in for a lot of headaches (most likely caused by anvils dropping on your cranium). I had a bit of a hard time figuring out just what to do to celebrate Bugs Bunny’s 85th Anniversary. I ultimately decided to go back to the genesis of the character: the original, classic theatrical short cartoons made by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969, under the banners of “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies.” However, trying to determine my absolute favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons out of ALL of those was a challenge I determined to be next to impossible to manage: there are just SO MANY, and a lot of them I like about the same. Then, I came up with a solution: maybe I wouldn’t list my favorites, per say, but instead just…some OF my favorites. Not listed in terms of how much I like them, but listed in chronological order. And that led me to figuring out the criteria for such an occasion: Bugs’ enemies. Keep in mind, Bugs Bunny has a rogues gallery all of his own: an assortment of fellow cartoon stars who, for one reason or another, he always ends up running afoul of, at least in the Golden Age of Animation. So, why not take a look at some of his most memorable battles with some of these adversaries? To that end, I have picked out eleven cartoons: one for each of Bugs’ biggest, most recurring rivalries, listed in chronological order of when the cartoon came out. This list will not include oneshot stories or enemies, so you won’t be seeing cartoons like “Baseball Bugs” or “Bully For Bugs” here, as a couple of examples. You also won’t be seeing any modern day appearances of Bugs here, like “Space Jam” or “Looney Tunes: Back in Action”: this is dedicated to the classic theatrical shorts that started it all. Also, keep in mind, the cartoons I’ve chosen to represent each rivalry here are just my personal favorites: if there are ones you like more, that’s more than fine. This is just a matter of personal bias and opinion. With all that said, let’s waste no more time! Here’s a selection of cartoons I like to call…Bugs Bunny’s Best Battles!

1943: Tortoise Wins By a Hare (Bugs Bunny vs. Cecil Turtle).
Starting off our selection is, actually, one of Bugs Bunny’s biggest LOSSES. In most cartoons, Bugs is shown to be the confident winning character. Whether he’s the antagonist or the protagonist, he’s able to come out on top and, even in his zanier moments, seems to be the one in control. However, relatively early in Bugs’ career, in 1941, things changed when master animator Tex Avery introduced a new character: Cecil Turtle, a tortoise whose cool, unflappable, patient intelligence is more than a match for Bugs Bunny. Cecil is one of the few Looney Tunes characters who is able to outsmart Bugs, and as a result, Bugs has a grudge against him. Perhaps the greatest example of this grudge came in this 1943 sequel to Avery’s earlier cartoon. Directed by Bob Clampett, in “Tortoise Wins By a Hare,” Bugs is seeking revenge for the time Cecil defeated him in a race. When Cecil is somehow able to trick Bugs into thinking the secret to his success lies in his shell, the rabbit challenges Cecil to a rematch, and dresses up in a turtle costume to try and win. Cecil, in turn, dresses up in a rabbit costume, which becomes a problem when the Rabbit Mafia (yes, that’s a thing) decides to try and rig the race so the turtle can’t win. They mistakenly believe Bugs to be their enemy, and Cecil to be their ally. Slapstick lunacy and an ending that you probably wouldn’t be able to get away with nowadays ensue. While I do love Avery’s initial cartoon, the irony that’s strewn throughout this whole debacle makes it even more entertaining to me. Cecil would return off-and-on in later cartoons, and still makes infrequent appearances today: as the only person on this list to actually best Bugs in his choice outing, he is definitely an important part of the rabbit’s long history in animation.

1946: Hair-Raising Hare (Bugs Bunny vs. Gossamer).
Time for a somewhat more obscure rivalry: Bugs Bunny against the big red monster known as Gossamer. In the Golden Age of Animation, in fact, Gossamer barely even counted as a recurring enemy. He only showed up in two cartoons, and they were very, VERY similar to each other. Both were directed by Chuck Jones, and featured Bugs being kidnapped by a mad scientist for some diabolical purpose. When Bugs tries to escape, the scientist sics their pet monster on him, and the remainder of the short is Bugs making his way through the spooky castle of the mad doctor while trouncing Gossamer at every turn. While I love both cartoons (the second one, “Water, Water Every Hare,” is probably the most famous of the two), I actually think the very first short with Gossamer is my favorite of the pair, simply because they just go further with it, so to speak. A lot more of this cartoon focuses on the antics between Bugs and Gossamer, while the later one has him deal with the big red beast (there named “Rudolph”) a lot faster. It also has some jokes that I think are among the funniest of any Bugs Bunny cartoon to this day…plus, the mad scientist in THIS one is freaking Peter Lorre. How can I NOT love that?!

1948: Buccaneer Bunny (Bugs Bunny vs. Yosemite Sam)
Next, we have Bugs against one of his most famous adversaries, Yosemite Sam. Created by Friz Freleng (and apparently meant to be something of a self-parody or caricature), Sam started out as a rowdy ol’ cowpoke with an ornery hatred for rabbits. However, as time went on, Freleng began to experiment with putting Sam in other guises, fitting him into all kinds of different roles for different settings and time periods. The character in the costume remained the same, but the role he was playing would shift. There were many options for this I considered, among them “Bunker Hill Bunny” (in which Sam plays a Hessian soldier in the Revolutionary War), “Big House Bunny” (in which Sam is a corrupt prison guard), and “Knighty-Knight Bugs” (in which Sam plays the Black Knight; this cartoon was the only Bugs Bunny cartoon to win an Academy Award, and is the inspiration for a ride at Six Flags, incidentally). I ultimately went with this one, in which Bugs faces “Seagoing Sam,” a pirate, simply because it’s the one I’ve probably watched the most and has a lot of my favorite gags out of all of them. Really, though, almost any cartoon with Sam could be good: virtually all of them I’ve seen are fun.

1951: Rabbit Fire (Bugs Bunny vs. Daffy Duck AND Elmer Fudd)
I’ll be giving kudos to Elmer and Daffy separately later on, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t bring up the combination of all three characters together. A lot of the cartoons in this selection are the work of Chuck Jones, one of the most famous animators to ever live, and one of the people who really helped push the evolution of Bugs to become the character we recognize now. Among his greatest accomplishments was a trilogy of cartoons in which Bugs, Elmer, and Daffy all have to square off with each other. In each one, Elmer goes hunting, and every time Daffy tries to get him to turn his rifle onto the “dethpicable” rabbit, Bugs finds a way to reverse the game. Choosing just one of the three was difficult, but I ultimately decided to once again go with the first one. Why? One reason: the ending. This cartoon has my favorite ending out of the three, and while the rest of the cartoon is generally great as well, it’s that surprising twist ending and the humor that comes from it that gets me the most. I won’t give away what it is for those who haven’t seen it, but it definitely seals the deal for me.

1952: Operation: Rabbit (Bugs Bunny vs. Wile E. Coyote)
When people think of Wile E. Coyote, they naturally think of the cartoons where the gluttonous beast pursued his most famous arch-nemesis, the zippy Road Runner. However, a lot of people forget that there were not one, not two, but SEVERAL cartoons where Wile E. faced off with Bugs Bunny. In fact, it was in the Bugs Bunny cartoons where he actually got his name! Unlike in the Road Runner cartoons, Wile E. actually speaks in most of his encounters with Bugs, which does nothing to ruin the character. He’s still the same old Wile E. Coyote: way too arrogant and way too trusting of the ACME corporation for his own good. It turns out that even when facing the comparatively easy to snag Bugs, the Coyote’s traps remain just as likely to backfire or be turned against him. Once again, I’m going with the very first of these encounters, simply because it’s the one I’ve watched the most out of all of them. And, just like “Rabbit Fire,” I also think it has my favorite ending of the bunch, but I won’t give away what that final gag is.

1954: Bugs & Thugs (Bugs Bunny vs. Rocky & Mugsy)
Our next three cartoons were released mere months apart. First up, we once again have Friz Freleng at the helm. While Freleng is probably best known for his work with Yosemite Sam, he also created another great and dangerous little guy to face off against Bugs in the former of the big-hatted gangster known as Rocky, along with his trusted henchman (not pictured here, sadly), Mugsy. The characters have their origins in a much, MUCH older Bugs Bunny cartoon, “Racketeer Rabbit,” from 1946. In that cartoon, Rocky was a caricature of Edward G. Robinson, and was assisted by a Peter Lorre lookalike (must have been a thing in 1946) called “Hugo.” The name “Mugsy” is one used for a disguise Bugs wears while bedeviling Rocky. By 1954, after a couple other cartoons, the characters had evolved. Rocky was now a dwarfish mobster who, despite his small size, was a little smarter and a little more menacing. To contrast this, he was assisted by Mugsy: a big, burly, dopey baboon of a goon who had more muscle and gut than brain cells. This cartoon actually uses a lot of gags similar to those from “Racketeer Rabbit,” and can almost be seen as a remake of that, showing how Freleng’s sense of humor and the characters involved had changed over time. While I do like the 1946 cartoon “prototype,” this one is definitely better, at least in my opinion.

1954: Devil May Hare (Bugs Bunny vs. Taz)
Our only cartoon to be directed by one of Bugs Bunny’s more unsung handlers, Bob McKimson. While not as huge a name as Chuck Jones or Friz Freleng, McKimson was still a very prominent figure among the Looney Tunes creators, and was just as responsible for the evolution of Bugs from a wisecracking imp to a still-wisecracking hero over the years. There are lots of great McKimson cartoons, but arguably his greatest contribution was in the form of one of the most recognizable Looney Tunes characters: the Tasmanian Devil, affectionately known simply as “Taz.” A lot of people nowadays probably don’t realize this, but back in the classic era, Taz was NOT a hugely prominent character. He appeared in only five cartoons, and while that’s not by any means an unimpressive number compared to all the oneshot foes Bugs and other toons faced, it’s still a relatively small number to come out of a near-forty-year run of animated adventures. No one could have guessed this guy would become arguably just as popular as Bugs himself in modern times. With that said, once again, I’m gonna go with the very first appearance of Taz here, for two reasons: first, because it IS his very first appearance, and I think it’s interesting for people nowadays to kinda go back and see just how this iconic character started out. And second, because - once again - it’s the one of the classic Taz shorts I’ve watched the most (primarily because it’s the only one I have a physical media copy of). I will, however, give a quick Honorable Mention to another short with Taz, “Bedeviled Rabbit,” simply because it has a couple of my favorite jokes from all of Taz’s classic appearances.

1954: Bewitched Bunny (Bugs Bunny vs. Witch Hazel).
Our last outing from 1954, and a return to the work of Chuck Jones. (We’ll be staying with him for the rest of the list.) Just like the previous entry, this marks the first appearance of a classic cartoon character: Witch Hazel. This not-so-wily (but still very wicked) old witch is probably one of the most classic cartoon crones of all time. Later voiced by June Foray, the character is played in this initial encounter by Bea Benadaret, who is no less delightful. This cartoon starts off as a riff on Hansel and Gretel, as Bugs Bunny sees Hazel luring them into her home with the promise of food, planning to cook and eat the pair once they’ve fattened up. Bugs saves the kids…but Hazel decides to replace her lost dinner with some hearty rabbit stew. I love all the fairy-tale gags and the deliberately parodic sense of humor throughout, and I love Hazel’s wild personality; these would remain constant in later appearances, but I like this one the most because I love the connection to “Hansel and Gretel,” and a lot of my favorite Witch Hazel gags are featured in this one compared to later appearances. While Hazel is not the powerhouse superstar that Taz is, she’s still a well-recognized member of the Looney Tunes cast, and it’s once again always great to look back at her first time out to see how she got her start.

1957: Ali Baba Bunny (Bugs Bunny vs. Daffy Duck)
I did say we’d be giving Daffy and Elmer separate entries, too, didn’t I? Bugs and Daffy’s rivalry is one of the most famous in cartoon history. It actually has its roots in the origins of the two characters behind the scenes: Daffy came first, and like I said earlier, when Bugs first appeared, he was extremely similar to the screwy mallard. In a way, you could argue Bugs essentially ripped off Daffy…again, AT FIRST. Over time, as the characters evolved, Bugs really took off in popularity, and while Daffy was by no means an obscure figure in the Looney Tunes catalogue, with just as many cartoons to his name (if not more), he never managed to achieve the levels of super-stardom Bugs did, at least in the time of the Golden Age. This was reflected in the relationship of the two characters: Bugs is confident, cool-headed, and doesn’t let things faze him, and always comes out on top with minimal effort. Daffy is wild and rambunctious, and constantly trying REALLY hard to top Bugs…and ultimately his selfish, impulsive ways and nasty attitude do him in. He never wins. “Ali Baba Bunny” is a great example of their dynamic: in the cartoon, the two accidentally find their way into the cave of the Forty Thieves, and Daffy is immediately determined to steal all the treasure therein. Bugs, meanwhile, just wants to find a way to Pismo Beach for a vacation. Throughout the cartoon, Daffy constantly runs into trouble and tries to get Bugs to suffer for it, and Bugs pretty easily finds ways to turn the tables on Daffy (and all other obstacles) to ensure his own safety. In the end, Bugs gets what he wants, and Daffy…well…Daffy never learns, let’s put it that way.

1957: What’s Opera, Doc? (Bugs Bunny vs. Elmer Fudd)
Once again released only months apart from “Ali Baba Bunny,” this cartoon is considered one of the single most popular and lauded cartoons in the Looney Tunes library, and might well be the most famous appearance of Elmer Fudd outside of the Bugs/Daffy/Elmer Trilogy. Chuck Jones was a surprisingly major fan of classic opera, and this cartoon is a parody of the operatic works of the famed creator Richard Wagner. In the cartoon, Elmer is depicted as a viking warrior who uses his spear and magic helmet (the latter of which allows him to control the weather) in order to try and hunt down a rabbit for dinner. Bugs is quick to use a combo of wordplay and disguises to trick the Norse sportsman…but when Elmer finally has enough, things take a surprisingly dark and intense turn. The ending, once again, is a big part of what makes this cartoon so special, as it’s surprisingly dramatic (in fact, it’s kind of a tear jerker, no joke), but also still really, REALLY funny. It’s so rare that a Looney Tunes cartoon can make you want to laugh AND cry at the same time (especially the latter), and that’s a big part of what makes this short so unique. I’d be a fool not to bring it up here.

1958: Hare-Way to the Stars (Bugs Bunny vs. Marvin the Martian)
Last but not least, we have Bugs against my all-time favorite Looney Tunes character, Marvin the Martian. While nowadays Marvin is probably more recognized for his battles with Daffy Duck - the latter in the role of space adventurer “Duck Dodgers” - a lot of people don’t realize that he actually started out as an enemy of Bugs, primarily. Like Taz, Marvin is a character who only had five cartoons to his name in the Golden Age, and somehow shot off and gained immense popularity in later years. And out of those five cartoons, four of them have him pitted against Bugs Bunny. The idea was that Marvin was Chuck Jones’ answer to Freleng’s Yosemite Sam: while Sam was a little guy with a big, loud voice whose temper and nasty attitude made him a menace, he was still pretty dumb. Marvin is different: he’s small, mild-mannered, typically unassuming, and speaks with a posh dialect…yet his plans are literally things like alien abduction and planetary destruction. He was a genuinely dangerous, smart opponent, whose greatest failing was his own ego, which Bugs could easily puncture. Out of all the Marvin cartoons that put him against Bugs Bunny, this one - the penultimate one made - is easily my favorite. I love the sci-fi backgrounds of Marvin’s space station hideaway, I love all the gags with the Instant Martians he summons to fight Bugs, and it has a lot of both characters’ most famous bits of dialogue tucked away in its script. If I had to choose just one Marvin the Martian vs. Bugs Bunny cartoon to watch, it would be this one, without question. A great way to polish off this selection of the very Best Bugs Bunny Battles.

Well, what can I say? Here we go again. :P I haven't actually done as much pre-writing as I initially wanted, but at a certain point one it makes sense to just start writing and figure it out as you go. That's what rough drafts are for, anyway!
Early reflections: NE and SC mark a change in the tone of The Murderbot Diaries. There are more relationships and they are more complex; the pace slows down and there is quite a bit of exploration of trauma; SecUnit has learned to identify a lot more emotion and has lived its new life for quite some time; and in general the complexity grows.
As the third story in The Nameless Fanfic cycle is set immediately after System Collapse, the tone and complexity will likely shift accordingly, which means I might need to write larger chapters, slower. Also? Goddamn it, ART, I've had to look up its tone as much as I had to look up SecUnit's initially, and oh man is it not easy. We'll see how much editing I'll have to do afterwards.
(Also there's another oneshot story waiting for me to dig up the relevant info. :P)
But meanwhile - we are back to SecUnit's point of view! And, as is traditional, this third story doesn't have a name yet. But it does have...
Chapter 1: Crippled
The alien remnants really did a fucking number on ART's wormhole drive. By which I meant that even with the help of Holism and its humans, decontamination and repair were not going well.
"We've tried replacing the wormhole drive components," one of Holism's techs, Astrid, told the assembled humans in frustration. "But for some reason they just won't connect to Perihelion's wormhole drive subroutines properly, like they're incompatible now."
Seth had a deep frown on his face.
"I'm assuming we've tried just copying Holism's subroutines? What happened?"
"Something very strange. Do you know how you can't autopilot through wormholes because the ship needs to take in readings and do millions of minute adjustments even in the shortest jumps? The subroutines are designed to make sure the adjustments are prioritized correctly, as the wormhole medium is incredibly volatile. But it's as if Perihelion's whole way of interacting with the medium has been altered, somehow. The copied subroutines simply don't take right, and even if we forced them… I wouldn't be comfortable going into the wormhole relying on that."
The humans fell quiet. I could feel ART lurking in the feed behind me. It had been strangely silent throughout the whole conversation, running some sort of analysis in the background. Several of them, actually. (As usual.)
I pinged it. ART ignored me. I pinged it again.
I'm adjusting my analysis of time to the next mission deployment. It said. I cannot give you an ETA right now.
There was something worrying about the way it said that. 3,37 seconds later I understood what it was. ART was never apologetic. (Almost never). And it never sounded scared. (The last time it was terrified and desperate it just acted like even more of an asshole than it usually was.)
But now it sounded like that: apologetic and a little scared. Because, I suddenly realized, it wasn't a question of when it would be fixed. It was if it could be fixed.
"We're having trouble assessing the extent of the damage even from our station module, so it might be necessary to just tow Perihelion back to the university and do a deep examination there," Astrid said.
I felt ART lurch. There was no way it wanted to get towed back home by Holism, of all ships. There was no way it wanted to get towed back home, period. Especially if it didn't know when or even if it would be allowed out again.
I opened a feed channel with Mensah, Ratthi and Pin Lee (who had all been at the meeting too. Mensah in particular was listening with a frown similar to Seth's), and Ratthi dumped a message into it so fast that he must have been composing it for a while already.
We've seen this just a few months ago, right? Super fast organic wormhole drives? Do you think the Trellians could help?
It's worth a try, Mensah said thoughtfully. But our non-disclosure agreements present a problem. We can't tell the University's crews about Trellian ship speeds directly, and neither can we tell the Trellians about Perihelion.
ART knows about Dandelion, I said. And about her wormhole speed. I gave it data for comparison when we were analysing the situation.
Mensah and Pin Lee both frowned at me.
Does its crew know? Pin Lee asked sharply.
No, ART said, inserting itself into our channel. It wasn't needed. And SecUnit told me it was private data.
Hello, Perihelion, Mensah said. You knowing does make some things easier. What do you think about asking the Trellians for help?
Their technology isn't alien. ART said. I estimate the chances of their analysis being helpful at sub-20 percent. It paused. However, I estimate the chances of the university laboratories being helpful at sub-5 percent, as there are no records of anything similar in university databases. The most likely outcome is a complete refitting of my wormhole navigation systems.
That's if you're lucky, I said.
It's the most likely outcome, ART repeated.
I see. In that case, I may have a proposal for you and your crew, Mensah said, drafting some text in the feed and pinging Pin Lee to look it over. Pin Lee approved.
ART didn't say anything.
Mensah spoke up:
"If I may. Preservation Alliance has recently signed a research collaboration treaty with a non-corporate polity. While there are certain details that I cannot divulge without approval from the other party, I would like to say that it may be beneficial for their technical specialists to take a look at Perihelion. From preliminary data we've exchanged, I think they may have encountered something similar at one point, and they have had some time to study it."
Seth raised an eyebrow.
"Which polity?"
"Starwind Accord." When that didn't ring a bell, Mensah explained: "They're located fairly far off, but one of their research ships should be in the area right now. We can provide a meeting site, and if we send a message to Preservation Station ahead of our coming, I think they will be able to meet with you within a month's time."
"It might be worth a try," Astrid said to Seth. "This will be risky for Perihelion no matter what, so even a scrap of information would be helpful before trying to fix this mess."
ART bristled in the feed. Silently.
I said to it,
Worldhoppers?
No, it said and went back to its analysis.
---
ART was still sulking in the evening, so I did the obvious thing. I told Iris about it on a private comm channel.
I see, she said, then tapped ART's feed.
Peri, SecUnit and I are going to watch Cold Sleep Explorers from the beginning. Come watch with us.
That got its attention.
SecUnit and I are watching that one already. ART said.
We had actually started on it a little earlier. It turned out that the early space exploration show I'd picked out for its mix of realism and fun was pretty popular on Mihira, and ART had wanted to see it through my filters. Right now, though, even that was a little too realistic for what we usually watched, so we'd set it aside.
Iris insisted:
So? I haven't gotten to play 'real or made up' with it yet, and I want to before you spoil it on everything.
SecUnit has no educational modules on history. ART said sarcastically. It will not be a fun game.
Yes, it will, Iris said to me on our private feed. The game is called 'how quickly we can get Peri to correct us.'
To ART, she said:
Well, you're welcome to join anytime. We'll be in the lounge.
A couple of minutes later we were actually sitting in front of a screen. (It was the first time I was watching a serial on a screen together with a human. Who was eating bits of synthetic protein of various flavors from a large bag.) As the opening narration started, Iris turned to me:
"So, SecUnit. Long-toed blood dolphins. Real or made up?"
"Horrible planetary fauna," I said. "Real."
"Wrong." ART said to us both. "They were not horrible."
Iris winked at me.
"Peri," she said in mock indignation. "Since you're here, you get the hard question. Exodus phenomenon: real or made up?"
"It is an early human model of space exploration with limited accuracy." ART said. "The dichotomy is irrelevant."
"That's not how the game works. Real or made up?"
ART thought for a moment, then answered:
"The model accuracy is 33,5% below usable threshold. Made up."

I have an idea about a yandere! Sigma (bsd, i don't know if there is a sigma in some other fandom lol) who falls in love and obsesses over one of his security guards (gn! Reader) after they show unexpected interest in his casino management and most of all show genuine care towards him. He eventually kidnaps them to protect them from the outside world and keep them by his side. I would like to see your take on how he treats them while keeping them locked up and what happens if they try to escape, misbehave etc...
-🦊
Sure I love this idea I just hope it gets the whole picture in this little Headcanon/Oneshot!
Warning- Kidnapping

It was a regular day in the Casino for Sigma he did his daily routine of checking how his customers were doing and seeing if they were satisfied. He thought the day would be normal until he saw you walk into the casino. You didn't catch his eye quite yet but he was a bit suspicious of you since you didn't look like the type to gamble.
Yet here you were looking around the casino like a lost dog trying to figure out how these machines work. He was interested in your behavior and decided to walk up to you and have a conversation. You were a talkative person and you didn't seem to know who he was and thought he was just a normal person.
This makes him more interested and the small conversation turns into a small friendship. You'll come to the casino to help Sigma out with work not wanting him to stress out more. He sees your small acts and makes him feel more loved in a way. He didn't know how to describe it but it just felt so good.
Seeing you take care of him and show genuine care towards him makes him feel like he has something to look forward to in life. The poor male has been manipulated by many people before (I'm looking at you Dazai) and you just show actual love that doesn't seem like a way to lure him in with a false sense of security.
This makes him more and more obsessed with you and he doesn't even know it. He just sees himself returning the love you gave to him back to you. He gets slightly clingy making you stay longer than you should and he tries his best to do affection an act he's not quite used to.
He reads ways how to show proper affection such as hugs or hand holding or maybe kisses. As more of his behavior continued you got a bit worried about him and slightly uncomfortable in a way. His change of behavior didn't seem the same anymore as he kept making you stay claiming the world was dangerous out there for people like you.
This went on until one day he just knew what he had to do to make you stay. He didn't want you to leave anymore and wanted you to stay forever with him and show affection like friends or maybe even lovers. You and him had a normal day and just drank a couple of drinks together. Little did you know your drink was tampered with and you passed out.
You woke up in some sort of room or basement but it didn't look like it at all. The room was decorated to your liking and stuff you were interested in. Confused you tried getting up and walked to the door but your leg was stopped by some chain. Sigma then appeared telling you that it's okay and he just wants you to be safe down here.
You tell him that what he was doing was insane and crazy and you know he knows better than that. But he didn't listen he was fully convinced that you'd be safe in his care knowing you wouldn't be hurt and would be taken care of by him.
"Don't worry Y/N you'll be safe here with me I won't let anyone hurt you."

I hope I got everything I'm this little drabble(?) I hope you love it!🖤

Alright, I hope this is okay, I want to tell you the basic story for my DDLC x Oneshot AU. (You are in for a rant I hope you're ready)
It would start in after both the main stories of DDLC and OneShot are finished, and it takes place not long after the end of DDLC, but two years after Oneshot (and I head cannon Niko is 10 in the og game, so they are 12 at this point)
So the first bit is where Niko can still come to the world of their adventure a la dreams and visit the people there (like in the pancake episode) but Niko has learned how to step out of that world and find thing in the files and in the computer itself, (Sorta like Monika, but Niko doesn't mess with the files/code or anything like that, and I hope that doesn't seem too far-fetched )
But on that computer, Niko finds the DDLC game files and finds that the game is somehow corrupted and "missing", but the character files inside that. Niko feels awful for them, of course but finds out that there used to be one other character and is missing. "Because no one deserves an ending like that" Niko would say, so they look in every corner possible until, eventually, they find Monika. (I know she got deleted but look, she was still able to control and do things to the game after she got deleted, so she still had to be somewhere right? (although this would also just be for the plot but-))
Niko then puts the dokis files in the oneshot files, thus bringing them into Niko's world and, in Niko's eyes saving them. The four girls would wake up in the same house Niko woke up in, very confused of course. But when Sayori sees Monika, she full-on tries to attack her in a fit of rage and tears. (remember, Sayori is now self-aware too.)
Before Sayori can actually hurt Monika, Niko shows up and stops her, then introduces herself and the world the girls have been brought too. Niko tells them that the girls would have died if it wasn't for them (which isn't far from the truth) and decides to take the four girls to the refuge, Where they will be safe.
They agree, and begin their way to the refuge. The entire way their, however, Sayori barely speaks to Monika (or to anyone, but Monika most of all) and you can tell that she is holding a HUGE amount of resentment directed at Monika. Meanwhile Natsuki and Yuri seem carefree compared to them, remarking on the beauty of this world but still questioning a lot of things. Meanwhile Niko tries to speak indirectly to Monika (and Sayori) about things that Yuri and Natuski wouldn't quite... understand, and Monika repeatedly brushes it off, but is getting more and more anxious every time. Meanwhile Niko is figuring out that Monika does know what Niko is talking about, but is pretending not to. (Sayori scoffs at Monika at one point, but doesn't say anything)
They make their way to the refuge, where they girls meet Prototype, Cedric, and Rue. This is when Monika and Sayori get into an argument about what Monika did, and Monika still tries to apologize, but Sayori doesn't believe her. Niko catches them mid-argument, and knows now that they did know what Niko was talking about: about their worlds being games. I think Niko would then show them all the things that they had learned on their journey, about how "real" their worlds truly were. (because they may have both known about their worlds being games, but they had... very different perspectives on it.) Monika would then realize how much she looked like a villain afterwards (as if she didn't feel awful already)
Sorry about the long comment, and that's all I have for the story of this au so far, but if you did get this far, thank you for listening, and let me know if there is anything you want to add or change.❤
HDJEHWJWJSJ eating this
I imagine that The World Machine (will abbreviate as TWM) had a hand at giving Niko that ability to explore the player’s computer. They trust that the player keep them away from anything potentially unsafe in their computer.
I could see some tension between Sayori and Monika, especially if this takes place after the normal ending. Not as a full blown fight to be honest. Maybe Sayori also somewhat understood what Monika went through since as the new club president, she remembers everything she did. But also, she still dislikes Monika for what she has done. Sayori would definitely have some internal conflict on her reaction to Monika’s actions for sure.
Niko doesn’t really know what exactly Monika has done (and honestly, for their sake please I don’t want to expose the poor kid to the horrors) but I feel like TWM eventually tells Niko that she has done terrible things on a similar destructive scale as themselves. What Niko does with the vague knowledge of what Monika did, who knows.
As for Monika’s and also Sayori’s console access, TWM definitely blocked access for both of them (for the time being) for Oneshot, mainly because it’d definitely be a mess for poor TWM to clean up if they messed up the game’s code. Monika and Sayori could still look into the game’s code though.
Also I’d really like for TWM and Monika to interact sometime. Maybe using the computers? They could probably communicate using txt files.
Could keep chatting in discord or tumblr messages if you want. My discord username is nekovo with a Furina pfp btw.

5, 8, 24, 70 and 77, please! 💜
(in regards to this ask meme)
5 - How many wips do you have? What fandoms/pairings are they for?
for my long fics: the last chapter of my stardew valley fic, the next part of my DQXI open wounds series, and multiple chapters of my KH lfotr series, along with three or so side chapters for lfotr.
for one shots and other writing: I am currently halfway through a Marluxia/Vexen fic for a good friend of mine. I have 8 or so fics I loosely started in february in hopes of doing a february writing challenge, but I burnt out quite badly and so have left them aside for now. I think I have three or so gdocs where I've put some half-formed DQXI ideas down, and maybe the same amount for KH one-shot pwp fics and sequels to previously posted pwp fics haha. So quite a few wips, but most of them are just notes and ideas for me to come back to at some point.
8 -Post an out-of-context spoiler from a wip.
It was not often ice froze - but partway up the staircase leading from cool darkness into sharp white, it amplified. The scent. The heat. Roses - the stink of roses upon roses upon roses, so many and so much and so thickly dense that Vexen felt his throat threaten to close as flush crawled up his skin, and the paralytic sensation of being watched forced him still. He stopped dead in place, head still down, shoulders tight, all the fight and urgency in his body coming to a painful stop - and he slowly forced his eyes upward, dragging his gaze up the steps like a wounded dog, knowing of what - and who - he would be met with.
A black coat backlit with the absence of any colour, hood up, and despite having lived with such silhouettes for his Nobody lifetime, Vexen was not impervious to the wretched sense of abnormality the presence exuded; the domination of the environment, the uncanny sense of nature being ruined by an empty and unnatural beings mere presence. Only this, Marluxia was worse, far worse than any other - Xemnas aside. All Nobodies gave their environment a sense of kenopsia, yet where The Superior emitted sheer absence, the warmth of a abject gap in the universe, removal beyond removal, Marluxia stood at the crest of the staircase, staring down at the scientist with something barely restrained in his eyes, and the whole little world that they found themselves in was polluted by ripeness. A disgustingly tantalising miasma of sweetness that spoke of danger, a beast not in wait to pounce but waiting for a mistake. For Vexen to slip.
24 - How do you choose whose POV to write in?
It really depends on the fic, on what story I want to tell. I'm quite strict with POV stuff where possible, as I think changing perspectives without warning or lead-up can make the pace of a story feel off. In my Open Wounds series, I am strictly sticking with Hendrik's POV the entire time, as I want Sylvando to feel like a complete mystery that he can't get a grasp on. If I suddenly switched to Sylv's POV partway through, then a lot of the mystery and build-up would be changed. In my stardew stuff, the first section was pretty much just Elliott's POV, but as we got to the second part and the guys become a couple, I introduced Brae's POV a bit more to make things feel equal and open. In LFOTR, I have bounced back and forth between Isa and Terra because I want them to feel very similar and parallel despite there being distance and confusion about where they stand.
With oneshots its easier to maintain one solid POV as things tend to be quicker and more confined. with The Front, I stuck exclusively to Sanji's pov because it feels like Crocodile has a lot of unknown factors to him and that Sanji is figuring himself out more than anything, that its very much Sanji's experience and him not knowing where he stands with Croc factors in on that. A lot of my fics work like this - maybe its the 'tism, but I find that writing about a character speculating on another character's point of view but not actually knowing gives a sense of realism.
With Borrowment, I swapped only to Ansem's POV right at the very end to round things off and give a sense of almost peeking behind a curtain - I have done something similar with several fics, only swapping POVs right at the end as a final touch.
I think Midas is maybe my most interesting piece regarding POV as it's the same character's point of view but at different points in his life. I find POV stuff super interesting to work with and I think having a good grasp on it can really make or break a piece. A lot of planning goes into my writing and considering POV is almost an instinctual thing for me in some ways haha
70 - Are you subscribed to any writers on AO3?
I dont think I am, actually. I think I've subscribed to maybe like one single fanfic I liked that was left unfinished, just in case it ever updates, but yeah I don't think I have subscriptions to any writers themselves. In my friend group, when any of us write something we tend to share it there along with wips and gdoc versions for proofreading, so we tend to hear about new fics straight away haha
not subscribing isn't anything personal - truthfully I don't have time to read that much and I often worry that, if I'm working on my own projects, if I read too much of other people's work that that may subconsciously influence my own. I do bookmark fics however.
77 - Why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?
there are demons in my brain and the only way I know how to process them is to make characters go through situations lmao
I really hope now being in active psychotherapy makes me more productive and gives me healthier angles to write about rather than impacting my work negatively hahaha;;;;
