The drawing was rather reminiscent of his own kids crayon-colorings they used to so excitedly shove in his face after school. Gaze lingering on the drawing a moment, a certain recognition on his stare, he finally looked back up towards the drone, lightly clearing his throat.]

You could feel it the moment you walked off the jet—he was pissed.

Not openly. Not in the way that would alert the rest of the team. But you could see it in his eyes.

The sharpness behind his quiet “Wheels up was two minutes late because of you.” The subtle flex of his jaw when you’d accidentally interrupted him mid-briefing. The barely restrained tension in his hands when you misread a suspect’s body language during interrogation, almost blowing your cover.

You thought maybe he’d let it go. Maybe it would fade when the paperwork cleared and the case file was closed.

But the second he followed you into his office, locked the door, and pulled the blinds closed, your stomach dropped.

"Desk,” he said sharply, tossing your folder aside. “Now.”

You moved without thinking—muscle memory at this point—and planted yourself right in front of his desk, eyes cast down.

“Do you know how many mistakes you made this week?”

“I…” You swallowed. “Two?”

Spencer gave a humorless chuckle.

“Try five. Five missteps, all avoidable, all the result of you being cocky.”

His voice was low, controlled, and dangerous in the way that made heat pool between your thighs instantly.

“I’ve let you skate too much lately,” he said, stepping behind you. “Let you get comfortable. Clearly, that was a mistake.”

You shivered as his hand wrapped firmly around the back of your neck, pushing you gently but firmly forward until your hands splayed flat across the top of his desk. Your heart was racing.

“Spence—”

“Not right now,” he interrupted coldly. “You don’t get to use my name when I’m correcting you. You’ll speak when spoken to, and you’ll listen when I remind you how to behave.”

You whimpered, thighs pressing together.

He dragged your skirt up with rough hands, exposing your lace panties—black, of course, per his preference.

“These,” he said, hooking his fingers under the waistband, “are going to come off. And you are going to count.”

The fabric peeled from your hips and fell to the floor. Cool air kissed your bare skin as you tried not to tremble.

His palm landed hard against your ass before you could prepare.

“One,” you gasped.

Another. Harder.

“Two…”

By the fifth smack, tears pricked at your eyes—not from pain, not really, but from the intensity. His discipline was never cruel. It was deliberate, measured, and built around making sure you felt every consequence.

Ten slaps in, your ass was burning and your thighs were soaked.

Spencer finally leaned in close, his breath warm against your ear.

“Look at you,” he whispered. “Dripping like a needy little thing, even after I’ve punished you. Maybe that’s the problem. You like getting in trouble.”

You nodded breathlessly.

He gripped your chin, forcing your head to turn toward him.

“Use your words.”

“Yes, sir,” you whimpered. “I like when you’re rough with me.”

“I know you do.”

He reached between your legs, sliding two fingers through your soaked folds.

“Such a mess,” he murmured. “I should make you beg for it.”

“Please, sir,” you said instantly, desperate. “Please, I need you.”

“I know what you need,” he growled, yanking your hips back and freeing his belt in one smooth motion. You heard the distinct sound of his zipper, and your body went hot and tense with anticipation.

When he pushed inside you, it was rough and deep, claiming every inch.

You cried out, barely able to stay upright as he gripped your hips hard enough to bruise.

“Is this what you wanted?” he snapped. “To be bent over your superior’s desk like a dumb little fucktoy?”

“Yes, sir,” you choked out, fingers digging into the wood.

He fucked you hard, punishing thrusts that made you moan helplessly. Your body rocked with every snap of his hips, and the dirty, brutal rhythm only made the pleasure swell.

When he reached around and rubbed your clit in tight, fast circles, you nearly sobbed.

“You don’t come until I say,” he hissed.

“Please, sir, I—!”

“Hold it.”

You whimpered, trying to obey, thighs shaking.

“Look at you,” he said, watching your reflection in the darkened window. “Little thing so eager to take it. So desperate for approval.”

His fingers pressed harder, hips slamming into you, and you broke.

“I’m sorry, sir—I can’t—I can’t hold it!”

“You better beg, then.”

“Please let me come, sir, please—”

He leaned over you, lips brushing your ear.

“Now.”

You shattered, body convulsing around him as he fucked you through it, then followed a moment later with a groan, spilling deep inside you.

You both stayed like that for a moment—breathless, slick, trembling.

Then he kissed your shoulder.

“Color?”

You nodded, voice soft. “Green.”

His hands became gentler, soothing as he helped you up, fixed your skirt, and guided you to sit on his lap in the office chair.

“You know I don’t think you’re actually dumb, right?” he said softly, brushing sweaty hair from your forehead.

“I know,” you murmured. “I just… needed that.”

“I know you did.”

He kissed your temple, cradling you close.

“Let’s get you cleaned up. Then I’m taking you home. You’re going to sit on my lap, watch a documentary, and let me hold you.”

You nodded, already melting into him.

Lady Tabletop's Primer for Getting into Tabletop Roleplaying Game Design Philosophy

Sam Dunnewold over at the Dice Exploder podcast has posed a fun question to his discord server: where would you tell people to start if they wanted to know more about TTRPGs and design?

First and foremost, I'd tell people to start with @jdragsky's article about Systems of Relation.

With the benefit of hindsight, I can now understand that the games we played on the playground were identical in nature to the tabletop RPGs I would grow up to play and help design.

Next, check out Thomas Manuel's analysis of the Axes of Game Design over on the Indie RPG Newsletter.

So the basic exercise is trying to figure out the standard axes or spectrums on which every game can fit. The idea is for these axes to be as descriptive and objective as possible.

Thirdly (and lastly for the purposes of this blog - it's entry-level, not comprehensive), check out this reddit thread about lonely fun.

The Lonely Fun is all of the stuff you do as a part of your hobby away from the table, in any way you might engage. For D&D 5e players, this is usually building complicated and elaborate characters on the page, pouring over the books for new races and subclasses, figuring out fun new combinations, and carefully crafting characters.

Why I make these particular recommendations below the cut.

All of these recommendations are hopefully all entry-level. I tried to stay away from any essays, blogs, or articles that reference game movements you may not have heard of or that require tons of reading before you can even read my recommendations. Some do have links to other stuff, and if you're enjoying the writing, definitely go down those rabbit holes! These are a tiny, tiny portion of my "TTRPG Homework" folder where I save essays, podcasts, etc that have helped me in my own game design journey. I'm always happy to share more, just ask!

The essay on Systems of Relation put into words something I had been thinking about the more I got into indie games/design: I've been playing my whole life, and ttrpgs are just another piece of that. I think it's crucial to break out of the framework of people trying to define play and games into neat little categories. Will I ever write a game as good as the ones I played in the backyard with my siblings? Probably not, but I'd like to find out.

Now that I've told you to stop trying to categorize games, we have an article about trying to categorize games. But I do like Thomas's assessment and examples of using game design axes. I think as designers it's important to figure out the things the game is trying to do and communicate, so that we can make sure it does those things well.

Lastly, I know 5e gets a bad rap (and it's gotten it from me, too!). But the concept of lonely fun has stuck in my craw since I first saw this thread. It's why some people prefer to GM (and therefore why GM-less games might not work for some people). Not all games are going to have lonely fun, but the ones that do are still going to appeal to people! This thread was key for me in terms of considering that no game is for everyone, and it shouldn't try to be, and also helped contextualize the enjoyment I get from the occasional high-prep game.

Balikbayan as a recommendation was a no-brainer for me. I'm not going to say it's the most elegant or tight of Rae's work, but it's the one with the most heart for me. The story this game wants you to tell is so clear, and as an introduction to "Belonging Outside Belonging" as a system/concept/design philosophy. This game really sings in its character concepts and emotional play.

If you've read this far, congratulations! I've been enjoying the DE podcast (even when I don't agree with some of the takes) and the discord has been a cool (if at times intimidating) place to hang out. I've had a hell of a game design journey this year and I'm so excited to keep learning, and to see what media other folks participating in this blog carnival recommend!

To sign off: my best advice to designers, especially those starting out can be boiled down to three things:

When in doubt, simplify or make it silly

The two cakes theory is your best friend - game design is not a competition

Not everything has to be finished. Not every part of the creative process is fun. Find the balance between these two truths (you're going to have to do that every day).

Tsukasa Tenma Shimeji headcanons!

yes this is my first fic, its probablyyyy not that good. But hey, everyones gotta start somewhere, right?

Warning: possible shitty writing.

The first time you saw Tsukasa-or atleast caught a glance of him was as he tried to get out of the folder he originated from, only to then end up in other folders. He started to get irritated by being unable to get out, letting out a melo-dramatic groan. You, confused as to where the sound could have been from, innocently opened the folder he was in. Tsukasa, feeling the presence of something, no, rather someone else, looked up, eyes wide as he realised he had been caught.

"Ha! Hello, human!!! Youve been graced by the presence of the up-and-coming future star himself!"

He proclaimed, striking a 𝑒𝓍𝓉𝓇𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓁𝓎 𝓂𝑒𝑔𝒶 𝒸𝑜𝑜𝓁 pose, his hand on his chest as the other ones up in the air.

Ever since then, the little guy has been living alongside you in your device.

-Tsukasa, even for a shimeji, is surprisingly not all that tech-savy. Although he can edit and move files, at first he has no real clue on how to do it, messing up a couple times. Make sure to keep a back-up of any files you dont want him to accidentally delete.

-He's really active, moving around a ton on your desktop! He will practice the dances for his upcoming performances, try to find the best 𝑒𝓍𝓉𝓇𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓁𝓎 𝓂𝑒𝑔𝒶 𝒸𝑜𝑜𝓁 poses known to man, and if hes really bored he will start climbing around, using your files as the holds. Yes, if he manages to climb to the top, he'll mount his flag up there, laughing victoriously.

-Tsukasa isnt all that good at video games, nor is he that experienced. Most of the time, he will either watch you play, enthusiastically commenting on whats happening on screen, or he will try to play it himself, he's a pretty fast learner, and he'll pick up the controls rather quickly! But, if he has to choose any games, he mostly enjoys simulations, roleplay or....dress up! yea, he likes putting together outfits to varying themes, or he just goofs around.

-Unlike what you may assume, he actually isnt that fond of physical affection at first. he's not used to it, he didnt get it much when he was younger. At first, he will just nervously giggle, scratching the back of his head, or even try to avoid it all together. Tho, the more time he spends around you, the more he gets used to it.

-Once hes used to it, buckle up cause he is NOT stopping. He LOVES headpats, and WILL ask (demand) them whenever you can give them. In return, he will hug your cursor. How cute!

-Every time you open and close your device, tsukasa will pop up from around the corner, excitedly greeting you by striking another 𝑒𝓍𝓉𝓇𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓁𝓎 𝓂𝑒𝑔𝒶 𝒸𝑜𝑜𝓁 pose! Great way to start you day, huh?

-Tsukasa is.....well, he's not the worst at helping you, but also not exactly the best, either. He will help you look up and find info about topics, and He'll even try organising your files for you! Tho, it might not be perfect, but hey, its the thought that counts, right?

-well....even Tsukasa gets burned out or tired sometimes. Trying to achieve greatness is a supreme, but sometimes, kinda exhausting goal. Whenever he is exhausted, he will be noticably calmer, but, still his star self! But, if he's burned out....well, cant have anyone seeing a star like that, right? He will take shelter in your documents, hoping you wont notice him being off. Please reassure him its okay!

-Tsukasa will watch anything youre watching with you! He's interested in most things, but acting or art related stuff especially attracts him. He'll lay out entire theories out loud, try to predict what will happen, and have a great time in general! Nothing could ever be dull with Tsukasa!

-Tsukasa will gladly sing for you! He'll sing anything, but he cant really speak anything other than japanese, atleast not without it sounding like he's singing with hot potatoes in his mouth-but he will try! You might also catch him silently humming along, both to songs youre listening to currently and background video-game music. If you bring it up later, he WILL be embarrassed about it.

-Tsukasa can, and WILL talk your head off if you let him. He comes up with the most random topics on the fly, related to what youre doing or not. He will enthusiastically ramble on, making elaborate hand gestures to match.

-If youre playing or watching anything without sound, Tsukasa will passionately and...rather dramatically read it out loud. Goodluck trying to take it seriously then.

-Tsukasa has...mixed feelings about you picking him up. At first, totally no!! he will squirm around, trying to escape the cursors almighty grasp. If you drop him, he WILL fall face-first onto the desktop, grumbling silently while getting up. But, later, if he starts to like you, then he actually really likes it! When you pick him up, he'll playfully pretend to be flying! But-dont do it to suddenly, that might startle him.

I wrote way to goddamn much didnt i? Well, you only live once so write bible-lenght fanfic while youre at it. I hope there arent much spelling mistakes or non-cannon things. Just tell me if thats the case, ill try to edit them out. I will mostly just write for Tsukasa, maybe Miku or Kaito sometimes. Have a nice day.

After a second short advance from Dauntless, Grue had to back up a step to avoid touching the field of crackling white energy.  A step that closed the distance between us and Armsmaster. “Armsmaster hates you,” Tattletale told Dauntless, raising her voice to be heard over the crackling sound the forcefield was generating, “He hates that you’re the next big thing, the guy that’s going to be better than him.  That you get the easy road to being a big name in the Protectorate, and he’s the one that has to stay up nights, reworking his stuff, compiling simulations, coming up with new ideas, training in the gym for hours and hours on end.  Every second of work he puts in, he gets more and more resentful of you.  Why do you think you were the one member of the team he sent off to patrol the city and watch over the Wards, instead of having you come to the party?”

this one's going in my lisa meangirl moments compilation (i have genuinely got a folder where i'm saving every lisa meangirl moment i come across). it doesn't even work because dauntless has earbuds in but i just love tattletale as a character conceit during combat scenes. like, i completely love the concept of this character who has no weapons beyond her mind and her voice and responds by roleplaying an impervious highschool mean girl during life or death situations. she gets backed into a corner and her only possible response is to issue a stream of desperate invective against her enemy's insecurities. it's so interesting on so many levels

Senaverse Rotations Go Out of Sync

Happy (slightly belated) New Year to all my simblr friends! I've been focusing on my solo RPG over the holidays, since I refuse to build over Christmas, but I'm ready to get back to working on Kulo Sena now!

As part of my attempt to be more true to my own playstyle, I've managed to zap a lot of the stuff I'm not using, but keep including, from my Downloads folder (3t2 traits, and complex Sun&Moon crafting chains, looking at you) so my load times will hopefully be less like sload times. I'm also examining elements of my gameplay that I'm dissatisfied with. One of those aspects is the rotation system, which I've been very strict about keeping in sync since before Kulo Sena was a thing - even though my naturally chaotic, cluttered mind can't handle schedules! It's much too full of roleplaying and worldbuilding stuff to remember anything as trivial as when I have to go to the dentist. (I know where things are, mum. They're in one of those piles on the floor over there.)

So, how can I change my timekeeping style to better suit my preferences? Well... (Quin Standard Ramble incoming!)

As I already mentioned in previous posts, I've been replacing text strings to make certain game terms make more sense to me. I've decided that, instead of having a rotation system, Kulo Sena's story will flow more like... well, a story, which is where my strengths have always been. I am just naturally a rambly narrator.

The replacement term will be arc, and I plan to focus each arc on whatever grabs my attention most in the moment, rather than on whoever happens to be next on the list. I'm going to stop fussing about keeping ages and seasons exactly matched between households, letting there be a few days' variation, and letting some households where nothing much is going on sit out of a few play sessions. As a storyteller first and foremost, nothing's more frustrating than having to break off from an exciting storyline and go play a bunch of nobodies because a week is up!

I'll be tagging my posts by arc name and scene number, rather than by household or rotation or even by sim names. I also plan to make a habit of taking notes at the end of every play session, recapping major events for my scatterbrained self to review later. Another thing I get frustrated with myself for: I can barely remember what happened last rotation when I'm playing, never mind last iteration or anything! (The same applies to what I have for breakfast, and I only ever have one thing for breakfast... ahem. Resident Simblr Scatterbrain signing out now.)

Rotations are out of my game, as of 2025. Arcs are in.

Just had the weirdest experience ever of my RPing career.

Dude I’ve been writing with for a long time, probably the better part of half-a-year, just sent me a zip file. Inside of it, it contained one document and then a folder. The document said READMEFIRST, so I did. He also reiterated when he sent it to me to read the doc first.

Let me preface that this guy has been nothing but a gentleman for the entire half year I’ve known him. We’ve vibed together since day one. We’ve never shared photos of one another. He’s literally been my best friend and best RP partner for the span of time. Our writing styles work so well together and I just. I really thought he was awesome. And now, I’m just sort of broken and at a loss as to what I should do.

The document I opened started with a single-typed page. He essentially went into detail saying this was a half-year anniversary gift. I couldn’t remember for the life of me the day that we met, but he remembered, which I thought was shocking. He said that he’d been collecting these for a long time as sort of like a memento/gift of our time together, which I thought was so super cute. I literally thought this man was rizzing me.

He went on about how he loves how open I am, how we mesh, great partner, blah blah blah. All the usual stuff. Says how excited he is for the next six months, and hopes I enjoy.

I open the next folder, and it contains another document and 134 images.

I have my settings to where my image icons are set to small so I just see the file and the name, so I didn’t see the images immediately, but they were numbered 1-134. So, I go to open the document. My brain was on overdrive by this point. I thought he somehow was commissioning people for artwork of our characters (he told me he’s loaded prior and loves to support artists), and I was just so excited.

Open the document. And it’s just. Pages and pages and pages of detailed descriptions of him LITERALLY. GETTING OFF.

It would be, like: “[date it happened] 1. [roleplay excerpt of mine]” and then it would go into gratuitous detail of how his orgasm felt, what he was thinking of, and imagining me as my OC in that instance, and then rate it out of 10.

I only skimmed, but I caught sight of him sometimes going back to previous passages that he denoted as his “favourites”. So he’d go into detail about how different or better it felt.

I thanked the good Lord above that I had my image files small because that meant that I had over 100 unsolicited dick pics (including…him finishing) sent to me immediately. I didn’t open a single file to check and see if it’s not just an elaborate prank because this happened probably an hour ago and I don’t know what to do.

He messaged me about 20 minutes after I said I was unzipping the file and basically said: “Well, what do you think?”

I honestly don’t know what to think. I haven’t said anything back to him, and he hasn’t messaged me, again. I don’t know what to do, either. I really love what we have and our characters. If he would have told me he liked me, I may have felt flattered and maybe beige flags but still, like…he has never once said or done anything out of line. He’s been so patient and great and just. I am literally sitting here in shock.

I even cried a little bit because I just feel?? Extremely violated?? And it’s just so out there and strange and I don’t know what to do. I just needed somewhere to vent. I feel like I have to block him, but now I’m wondering it he’s capable of anything else? I use a VPN and haven’t given him any information that could dox me. And, also thank God that I use a separate account to RP with.

Should I just ghost him? Should I confront him? Should I just block? Should I change my RP account completely? Has this happened to anyone else before? 😭 If anyone has any advice, I will surely take it…

BLOCK HIM. REPORT HIM.

I wouldn’t confront. I would remove yourself entirely from that situation and prioritise your safety.

So. Not too many thankfully. I try really hard to finish what I come up with before starting new projects. Because I know myself. I know what I could become. And I don't allow room for it, lol. Though it tends to result in me not writing for months at a time.

But please ask me about any of these I'd be happy to elaborate or just share written snipets from any of the familiar WIPs.

as this is a marauders account, i think it is important for me to make note of the fact that i do not support jkr in any way. she is a disgusting excuse of a human, and i do not agree with her views - and if you do, please block me. if you would like to watch or read harry potter (or anything else by jkr, idk her other stuff), please purchase second hand or through pirating sites. as someone who prefers to read things on paper, second-hand shops or websites like facebook (marketplace) are helpful in avoiding supporting people like jkr. harry potter dvds are probably more difficult to find second hand, but it's worth a look! the movie pirating site i use should be the first result when searching "sflix" i wont link it bc idk if itll get this taken down. for books i do not have any certain pirating/elibrary websites, but r/piracy on reddit has a helpful megathread (also has many for movies, too). When using pirating sites, please be careful! have an adblocker, i use AdGuard and it's never let me down, and never click on anything that will download something or take you out of the site. added later: if you want harry potter merch, make it!! dont buy harry potter funko pops. buy clay and try making it yourself. if you really cant, support small artists. get a friend to make something for you, find someone on etsy, idfk, you can find so much stuff that isnt giving her money. don't give j.k. rowling money.

on another serious note, stop using ai. support artists and writers. pay for commissions instead of making us future generations pay. read fanfiction, read books, join roleplays on discord or whatever website. ask google rather than chatgpt. ask people. check with your teacher - they know a lot more, and are a lot more reliable, than any chatbot.

i love giraffes. my bedroom is basically a shrine of giraffes and the colour green.

Bruce: Doesn't really want to play, and when forced is absolute min/maxer. It does not even occur to him that he could play differently. He read the books, skimmed internet for best combos, and sticks to that. The backstory of his characters somehow always has something to do with masked vigilanites a'la Zorro or Grey Ghost.

Dick: Takes magical support characters like druids or bards, just to do some fun magic stuff and score very creative kills. He's the kind of a player that will make a plan to infiltrate a fortress by turning the team into elephants and flying them in (by means of conjure woodland beings) . He's not a min-maxer, but his creative use of wierd spells and abilities make his character super useful. His characters have simple but effective backstory, often connected with Babs's characters'.

Barbara: Plays basically only gnome barbarians, becuase she thinks its funny. She often makes INT the dump stat, and the rest of the players have to constantly remind her that SHE might have figured out the riddle, but her character with INT 8 would NOT. Loves combat and 3D-prints minis for her characters.

Jason: Lives to RP. His characters have deep and rich backstories, usually extremely dramatic and with many possible plothooks. He WILL try to talk to everyone in the tavern. his turn during the fight is the longest because he insists on describing in detail everything his character does. He often gets angry at the dice, becuase they spoil the 'great scene he had planned'. He often makes very supoptimal characters to fit the backstory (wizard with low INT, rogue with 10 in DEX, etc.) and gets pissed when they get killed easily. Will sometimes DM, and those scenarios are usually very, very light on combat.

Tim: Rules lawyer nr 1. He knows the rules by heart. He remembers half of the statblocks of monsters and complains if they are changed. Takes careful notes, and makes 100 theories on everything in game. His characters ALWAYS check the ceiling when coming into a room. He has a tendency to metagame. Often DMs.

Cas: Doesn't really like to play, similarily to Bruce, but when she does she usually plays support (usually clerics), so that she can heal the party. Enjoys exploration, and is more likely to play in scenarios with a lot of ruin exploration, dungeon crawling etc.

Steph: Makes joke characters like Dildo Swaggins the lustful bard, but somehow always ends up with the most dramatic story developments for her character and most heroic, tearjerking deaths. Like Jason she loves to RP more than fight, and their character often have scenes of sitting by the fireplace and talking during short rests. Has several sets of dice and tracks their 'luck'. Sometimes DMs wierd but higly creative one-shots.

Damian: Pretends not to like to play, but after first (frankly quite disasterous) session, he got sucked in. He loves making characters, and has a whole folder of character sheets of his OCs, with drawn pictures and everything. Makes tokens for the whole group, and can be (easily) convinced to draw maps for the sessions. Rules lawyer nr 2, but unlike Tim who does the lawyering to keep the game clean and running RAW, Damian will try to give himself as much advantage as possible. No one lets him DM, because he is not yet ready for such power.

Alfred: Does not play. He hates DND with passion and wishes they would play something less rule-heavy so that he could play with them and roleplay in peace without those pesky dice... and why are there so few social skills for a character! This is not his cup of tea, thank you very much. Jason sometimes convinces him to stand in for the important NPCs, and he always knocks it out of the park.

I would say just using lexicanim for research and not reading the novels is bad too. First it's your job read the books you all get audible sponsors come one. Second of all the lexicanim gets some stuff wrong. I'm a fantasy fan and god it's a bit of a mess. Some End times stuff is missing, this

Some of the roleplay books aren't there

Somehow the fandom wiki is better than it. Links to the book and pages. Includes the different timelines, the roleplay books, warning for stuff that are offensive. Well for the major elephant in the room. No warning for Araby page (the lore can be yikes sometimes espically from older books) or the forest goblins (the offensiveness of the forest goblins is because of their design)

This is true! And is one of the major reasons why lexicanum is often derided, legitimately so, to repeat. However said critcism should also acknowledge that the Lexicanum bases itself off wikipedia and suffers the same faults because of it. There is a saying, I believe it is 80% make submissions only 20% check and correct, something to that effect. This just a problem of sourcing and I, myself, got a lexi account so I could help clear up some the clutter because I try to base myself off Subsourian, the "acclaimed" lore master for starcraft 2 who is hopelessly dedicated. Its also why I have this!

This is 50 gigabytes worth of warhammer stuff from just the rulebooks, codices etc. I have other novels and such collected in an seperate folder and as I type this I am busy going through the Horus Heresy and have reached book 13. But I'm re-reading 11-12 because someone asked for citations from them. The issue is a lot more complicated than just "Read more" because you'd be shocked how much info conflicts and what may potentially sound plausible but is in fact bogus. I ask you kindly re-read before asking a question because I'm a bit confused on what you mean and a comma or two could help me better understand. STILL! it is a valid concern to have and one of the many hurdles of teaching Warhammer lore regardless of fantasy or 40K. Like any source one must be skeptical of the information within it and fact check it. My primary issue with fandom is that it doesn't have what I refer to as "citation" markers. Because a picture from a book will have its citation listed next to a excerpt from a book and there is no indication of which is which. This makes research more painful and I've had, in my experience mind you, some pages have fanon spouted as fact and it does near-irreversable damage. Most people read the wiki wholesale because what I'm doing is uh... to say the least going through things with a fine toothed comb and trying to simplify it down for people to get a better understanding. There will be some errors, I try to avoid them and keep as up to date as possible, but GW doesn't help because certain books are no longer in print or physical only. Imperial Munitorum Manual comes to mind as a loathed source because it was released as a joint background book alongside the infantry's uplifting primer to which their is only resellers... I am not paying 750$ for it. I think thats understandable. This is also a reason why I show citations in my video, and though I wanted to do a hierachy of sources, that idea crumpled. I give page numbers, and work off what I gather. Lexi and Fandom are both "Good" sources it more so matters how one goes about their research. And I do agree Lexicanum could have some form of warning system but given a look at their backgrounds... I don't think they believe in having such a thing for one reason or another which is another nail in their coffin. Regardless, thank you for the question, I suppose criticism? Its a bit difficult to tell, and stick around because I'm trying my best to unfuck 37 years worth of spaghetti lore and make it digestable in a fun and interesting way. I'll keep it in mind and triple-check everything.
