It’s fascinating how little the US at large knew about Walz before this week, but at the same time… it makes sense. He wasn’t their governor. They haven’t seen the incredible work he’s done first-hand, and they haven’t had years to appreciate his authentic charm.

He’s never been a politician who sought out the limelight - everything Minnesota has done in this historic year of progressive legislation and policy has been relatively quiet. He’s not on the road jockeying for the latest sound byte on CNN or some podcast - he’s working to implement the policies people want. He’s tweeting about Mountain Dew. He’s at the state fair eating fried food and talking to his constituents. This is the governor we know. A man who cares deeply about the work he does and the people he represents, not the fame, not the clicks.

He’s genuine. Minnesotans know that. Now it’s time to sell that to the rest of the country.

i miss s5 utopias so bad bro. like i will never Not think abt how planet was the only person in lalas to provide hearts to help revive ro & who was there to greet her when she came back. or how it was her and planet specifically that got berated by ash on multiple occasions for their attachment to their ex teammates (bacon and mapicc) bc it was seen as dumb and a weakness. or how it was just the two of them and minute who originally founded the foundation and started up the team created to stop the abyss. and and and how irritated planet got when arguing w jumper, minute, and ash on ro's behalf when they were all but directly calling her a traitor bc he thought they were being way too critical of ro bc for all that she'd made her love for mapicc clear— she was still loyal and by THEIR side (by PLANET'S side) up until that point in the season, as it was approaching the end. (ignore that ro had already betrayed the foundation and likely made the decision to leave lalas only earlier that same day 🥹)

something about the tiktok ban that i haven't really seen people here talking about is the experience of tiktok users not from the usa, which was, as far as i can tell, on the whole, very positive. it was actually really nice to, for a short period of time, be on a major social media network and able to interact with people across the world without usamericans constantly inserting themselves into every conversation.

usamericans kind of take over people's fyp regardless of where you're from. this is partly to do with the fact that the creators fund is only available to usamericans so most of the shitty content farms are from the us. then there's also the cultural aspect of the fact that being a citizen of the most powerful empire in the world is a significant privilege, and also a privilege that 99% of usamericans are seemingly unable to acknowledge, plus the us centrism and exceptionalism, plus the constant need to cast themselves as the underdog, and, well. it's annoying.

so, like. everything of what i've seen (which is not to say that other opinions don't exist, just that i haven't seen them) is that it was really nice when the usamericans were gone, and it kind of sucks that they're back.

6. 💝 What is each person’s love language (words of affirmation, acts of service, giving gifts, quality time, and physical touch)?

ouuugh. kirby, little guy is basically made out of love, isn't he?! his foremost love language is probably quality time, and perhaps words of affirmation. what he is doing all day every day is acts of service; saving everyone, rescuing kittens waddle dees stuck in trees, that sort of thing. but when he's on his own time it's all about going slow and experiencing things with the person he's with.

kirby strikes me as someone who'd be good at and very much enjoy planning surprises for his loved ones. sometimes even incredibly simple seeming things-- like swooping by on the warp star to pick starstruck up just when she can't get to sleep in the early morning-- but it's always exactly what the other person wants. kirby is incredibly busy, and he loves a lot of people!! i think he puts his all into each free moment and every chosen interaction he has. any time with him is precious and means a lot!

i think for him and starstruck, this would probably result in her boundless enthusiasm for every little thing he does. she'd be an outpouring of gratitude and delight and affection for him that in turn helps him feel the time was meaningfully spent for both of them.

9. 👀 What do other characters think of their relationship? Do they approve or disapprove?

frankly i think that the other three would be roasting the ever-loving fuck out of meta knight for this.

oh is that your waddle dee?? is that your waddle dee meta knight??? is that the waddle dee you were parading around a year ago telling us we had to be sooooooo suspicious of? hmm? same waddle dee?? same waddle dee and now you're bringing her your cakes to share and sneaking her up to your tower to show her your 'telescope'??? same waddle dee and now you won't let her out of your sight? is it really because you're 'doing your job protecting dream land' meta knight or is it because you're a big sook?? hmm?? hmmmmm?????

anyway they'd of course be so supportive outside of that and wouldn't care at all!!! 🤣 i don't think any of them are judgemental about that sort of thing except perhaps meta knight himself, so 😂

12. 💞 When did they each first realize that they had fallen in love with the other person? Did they confess their feelings soon after realizing or did it take a while for them to confess?

i probably kind of answered this one for meta knight over here, when i described how their first kiss might go, sometime in the future!

When you’re writing (or character building) and all the symbolism and themes in the character, their visuals, and words/names is all extremely fitting despite being somewhat random

Fr though, my partially possessed “God-King” that I’ve been calling Raptor / Rook? Yeah all the themes of those words fit him to a T. I’m also counting things from the Etymology* of these words.

Raptor: bird of prey, plunderer, ravisher, to seize

Rook: corvid/crow/raven, cheater, simpleton/cheated, chariot

Chariot: a weapon of war that served as a dominant or large factor in warfare for several hindered years. It was useful and strong, but eventually was surpassed, in other words its time came to a close.

My poor possessed man who rose to power only to be corrupted and meet an end, cheated in that his power thwarted his goals, a cheater in that he lives on, hundreds of years after his human lifespan ended. My beloved “I became what I daughter to destroy” trope fulfiller: Rühk**, later known as King Raptores.
