Details:
As the in-game quote says, "This secluded forest [was] once frequented by many Wanderers...". That description seems to infer there aren't as many Wanderers here as there were initially? Maybe it really is just a handful of super powerful Golems wandering around (pun fully intended lol).
Bosses:
Ignis Golem
This massive Wanderer originated from volcanic activity, so it's commonly seen near lava lakes or lava flows. Its abilities include increasing temperatures and frequently causing fires. It fights using Melee and Ranged attacks.
Bryo Golem
This Wanderer is commonly seen in ancient forests. It can cause earthquakes and fissures. It fights using Melee attacks.
Petro Golem
This Wanderer originated from craters left behind by meteorites. It is extremely powerful, continuously absorbing Metaflux to reinforce its rocky exterior.
It fights using Melee and Ranged attacks, plus Furious and Devour abilities.

Key points: - Xavier died a lot in this, I had to concentrate a lot. Took many tries. I could've added more ATK or dmg to weakened to make it more comfortable. - 2 actives in the first weakened window, but after that had to hit resonance ASAP to make the first oath at 1:00-1:01. Oath timing is very tight with 12% oath recovery; I had to be spamming the oath button around that time. If I'm late by even just a little bit, I reset. You can raise oath recovery to 14% to make it more comfortable. - Time the final shieldbreak at 0:11-0:12 so that your second oath can make it within the 10s weakened window.

I grew up playing some metroidvania Flash games (the Robot Wants series in particular is what I remember most fondly) but had never played any Metroid game up until now, so I started playing the 2D Metroids last week when Zero Mission came out on NSO and I went through them all in release-ish order (ZM as my starting entry, then NES, GB, Super, Fusion, AM2R). I absolutely loved Zero Mission, Super and AM2R (I liked the others a bunch too; imo Fusion's linearity felt justified by the story progressing as you played and also just this raw feeling of constant tension) but then I really did not like the way Samus Returns felt 1-2 hours in (of all things they kept from the GB original it was the fucking screen crunch, and the circle pad just does NOT feel good for this; movement felt wayyy too sluggish in a way that feels typical of 2.5D games to me, and the shooting combat just got completely replaced by the melee counter which I did not like) so I just kinda skipped it and moved on to Dread (which I'm still playing now) and while I enjoy the way Samus's movement feels a lot more (minus the stupid trajectory-locked walljump from Fusion), I don't think I like the game's overall design all that much.
Literally every fucking attack deals 100 damage so you don't get any room for error whatsoever during boss fights, because you can only take like 5 hits before you die; tanking your way through damage always felt like a risk for higher rewards or a way to get something you weren't meant to get earlier on, but now the numbers feel cranked up wayyyyyy too high. You don't get to try and figure out a boss's attack patterns halfway during the fight and learn AS you fight, instead, you have to die a million times when you almost figure something out but failed the execution because every single action requires you to hold three buttons simultaneously and juggle these button combos around constantly. And the game throws a boss at you literally every 10-20 minutes and locks you down one-way paths every single time so the game barely even lets you explore, like, this is literally just a boss rush game at this point and half the bosses don't even reward you with anything. Super and ZM felt like they were actively INVITING me to break the game and go against the game's intentions and even made me wish to replay the games at some point in the future to take things on differently, and I totally understand what made those such genre-defining games. Dread just completely isn't what I was hoping it would be (also where the hell is this game's MUSIC)
#Like in Fusion the SA-X can deal like 170 damage or so to you with its ice beam but that made SENSE! That was your brand new weakness and#it felt totally justified there & scared you with its power. Now some random boss will casually deal 200 and I'm like come on what is this#Also Dread just feels so padded!!!! Theres so many areas but the game doesnt want me to go anywhere unless I fight each area's bosses three#Old metroids felt so elegant with how short they were and how much exploration you'd be doing in those 4-6 hours#Same with Metroid II where every 10 metroids felt like a big milestone (25% of the game) yet a milestone you'd reach very quickly#Like it's “just” two or four bosses until you get to reach the end but the real meat of the game is the exploration. The creation process for Chappelle was as organic as it gets. “I listened to the beat, and it just came together. My bro JWatts made the beat, and I rapped on it. I don’t write my lyrics—it’s all off the dome,” Father T shared.

For Father T, visuals are a critical component of his artistry. “I’m currently working on an animated cartoon with a ‘Bebe’s Kids’ vibe to preview the song,” he revealed. “The visuals tie into the track’s playful yet serious vibe, creating an upbeat energy that mirrors the music.”
Despite his focus on visuals, Father T admits that storytelling through words comes more naturally to him. “For some reason, it’s less difficult for me to paint a picture with words than with an actual physical picture,” he said.
Laughing at Life, Clowning the Haters
With Chappelle, Father T reflects on his life in a way that’s equal parts humorous and empowering. “The track is me laughing at my life and clowning people who think I care what they think,” he said. The song serves as a reminder for listeners to embrace their truth and tune out the noise.

listening to octopath music and drawing and writing stuff for my octopath pmd au so The Horrors(tm) dont get me
#i am getting WAY too in depth with these character profiles but if i dont hyperfocus on it i will implode .#like. we got species (including fusions/variants) types (may differ due to species) (plus an extra type bc of mixing in octopath mechanics)#also bc they can have up to 3 types at once i calculated everyones weaknesses and resistances which is actually kinda fun w tri-typed mons#also movesets up to 9 moves including 8 from their species(es.?) and 1 from their extra type . bc octopath#and abilities which everyone can have up to 2 of bc of how the older pmd games worked#tho each start with one and gain one in a similar way to octopath which allows for more mismatching#and also making it easier to choose fitting abilities for everyone they otherwise woildnt have access to#their IQ groups (tho. i am mildly tempted to scrap that and make my own groups. no yeah thats my next task now)#held items and general/single use items theyd most likely have#and any other individual notes i have on them 👍 like therion being unable to evolve further bc part of his lineage is a 2 stage evo#ohhh i also need to note where everyone comes from. except maybe therion bc we dont know his hometown at all#thats gonna be kinda hard bc each continent has pretty much all the biomes but psmd changed that up a bit..... hm....#and the sand continent is straight up from psmd only unlike the rest so i need to check if theres anything besides deserts there#bc i could theoretically put 2 travellers per continent and go from there.. i do love what honkai does with the alt character versions soooo much tbh because it requires actually developing a smaller cast of chars instead of constantly pumping out new filler ones that will become completly irrevelant to the story in a year or less
#i do get why genshin does it though it does serve the illusion of teyvat being big and diverse#but it stops me from connecting to the chars on a deeper level unless they're important#like archons harbingers khaenriahn characters and those directly connected to them#i think hsr is going for a fusion of both of those systems?#we'll get alts of the important chars (mostly astral express crew & stellaron hunters)#but we'll still get lots of chars to make the areas we visit feel more inhabited
