also despite everything I headcanon apollo as having to be very careful with his words, especially definitive phrases, like, every word he says Is truth (even if that truth is that he's lying rn lmao) and so every future simple statement counts as a prophecy

like, imagining bronze age apollo desperately pleading with zeus to prevent the fall of troy, that is urgent, and zeus taking it as personal attachment and arrogance and him being dramatic (making him want to go for it even more)

and apollo just standing there trying to find more ways to not say the standing of troy is the only thing between the civilization that sustains their existence and complete societal apocalypse to avoid locking them into that definitive future

Quick explanation for the song and a gif version under the cut

So when I was first dipping my toes into utmv stuff like a year ago, I made a slideshow for my sister with a bunch of au Sanses, let her guess what kinda vibe she thought they had and then gave her a list of names/ aus to see if she could figure out who was who (she did surprisingly well and I'm proud of her).

Well, when I first showed her pictures of Dream her immediate reaction was "this guy looks like he's from zelda" and it's just always stuck with me. Somewhere along the way I started headcanoning Dream playing some kind of instrument when they were kids and when I heard the pan flute version of zelda's lullaby everything kind of fell into place.

So here they are, having a little moment of peace finally, brothers together again c:

So I watched the Murderbot show. I have...thoughts, but that's not what this post is about.

For some reason it got me thinking of the weird, sort of, throw-away line towards the beginning of System Collapse about ART not being allowed to do the bookkeeping because it fudges numbers and no one really knows what is up with that.

And I just want to know, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??

There's something so poetic about how El is the centre of all the chaos, wanted by the government and military and Mike is her strong calm that doesn't hesitate to get sucked into her storm and stand by her side in the face of any conflict. Like guys. This little boy did not hesitate to protect her and stand off in the face of the government to defend her, going against all the typical patriotic rule-following norms of an American Suburbanite Middle class nuclear family. He comes from pure safe normalcy but doesn't hesitate to run in the other direction heading towards chaos and danger if it means she's there... because he feels safest with her and is driven by the instinct to protect her. 😭🩷 There's something so beautiful and inspiring about someone as hurt and troubled and chaotic as El being loved in such a simple, unconditional way. Mike doesn't see her for the chaos she represents which surrounds her, he sees her for the innocent goodness that she actually is— her calm, gentle demeanour and the warmth it makes him feel. He understands that all the danger that comes with being with her is through no fault of her own, and actively works to help combat all the forces against her. He knows that despite being the centre of the chaos she's not the cause of it, she's the remedy for the effect of it and that is an undeserved, exhausting punishment yet a burden she bears regardless without complaint— a sign of her innate goodness which Mike recognises and loves her for all the more. Even moreso, he works to share that burden with her and criticise it because he sees how innocent and undeserving she is of the responsibility infringed upon her. His willingness to take all of this on is so wholesome and exactly the kind of sweet effort-full love that a character like El deserves, which is so gratifying for the audience to see.

the crew’s faces brightened. march jumped into the air happily, her eagerness a breath of fresh air amidst the raging storm inside their heart. a rare, soft smile pulled at their lips. it was the first one in thousands of years…

with relaxed shoulders and a newfound, purposeful wrath brewing in their veins, they stepped forward. their grip on their spear tightened.

How do you think cc Donnie would take the Technodrome? Any aftereffects you think he'd have?

i would NEVER do anything to cc!donnie like the horrors i put cvd!donnie through (because ive still danced around in the story it but its BAD bad) ,,, and my reason is just "i think he's been through enough" but depending on your interpretation of how you want the movie to go i think there's still plenty of horrors there. i could see him being in the console being extremely triggering because of his claustrophobia, at the very least!

phainon being this person who genuinely has claimed and honestly has no like for war or violence and yet that has nothing to do with being competitive whatsoever. the topic of how he loses himself in battle not for battle's sake, but something else, i'll write about more intricately but .

i'm just thinking about how that coaligns however you see them, with mydei, who while deeply intertwined and woven with his people's culture / traditions and war more intimately than phainon ever was, also is absurdly competitive to the point these two idiots fought for ten days and nights and i can bet a lot that a big reason phainon kept at it is because a small petty voice whispered, i'll lose when i'm dead.

i also think between the two, that phainon by far holds his drinks better, mainly because a:) he doesn't drink enough to get tipsy because that shows vulnerability and the deliverer can't have vulnerability b:) ' someone has to drag them out or hey oops i drank a little more than i thought i can't get vulnerable and open oops ! ' c: / joking ) mydei drinks fancy milk and pomegranate juice / i'm sure he handles drinks more than fine. d:) they're both not wanting to be too tipsy to show vulnerability but if someone's getting drunk first i'm betting mydei because he is the one you wouldn't expect but that's just a silly thought, not really a headcanon of mine.

phainon being a self avoidant person and that defining him as a not-quite-but a glass drinker absolutely is and even if you try to loosen his tongue the odds of you getting him to spill his more vulnerable 'non deliverer' side is not gonna happen unless you're patient and the time is right and even then it won't be the full thing because it's so ingrained to not share anything anymore - there wasn't anyone left to share it with.
