ETIQUETTE
If you were tagged it’s just a shoutout, don’t panic XD
Tumblr media
Hi all, I wanted to make this post to set some gentle boundaries when it comes to my au.
I’ve had a few interactions like this now, and I’d rather make a post explaining my boundaries to prevent it from happening more.
This is not directed at one specific person. It has happened a few times with different people. I may reference experiences but the post in general isn’t directed.
Okay, to the point. Please do not make unsolicited comments criticising my designs/animal pick for characters. Especially if it’s a finished design. If you’re not happy with my choices, you have free will- pick up a pencil and make your own.
This includes backhanded compliments such as “this is cool, but I’d prefer if they were a ___” and “I’ll only see (character) as an (animal) but…”
While they may not be intended as such, these come off as rude and really hurt my feelings. You may know by now that I put a lot of thought and effort into every single design I’ve put out.
Tumblr media
There are multiple factors, not just their personality and their looks. I take into consideration the dynamics they have with other characters, their behaviour, the way they move, their trap, etc. Some characters are designed with an overarching motif, for example, Wrath of the Gods (ty to the ppl who corrected me) are based on street animals, vermin, and each character will fall into that category. Adam and Lawrence? Cat and dog dynamic. Hoffman and Strahm? Competitors. Biological enemies. You get the gist.
Either way, I care a lot about my designs and for someone to invalidate them blatantly does hurt my feelings! And it does stick in my head for a while. In short, think about what you’re typing before you hit send. It may mean nothing to you but I assure you it means something to me.
If I am looking for advice on a characters design, I’ll ask for it! Suggestions on these posts are okay! As well as on concept sketches of a new design.
Hoffman was actually down to a vote on my Instagram!
My asks are also open for anyone curious about lore and why I picked an animal for a character etc.
I love talking about it so please ask me!! If I don’t respond to your ask about a specific character it just means I don’t have art of them yet, please don’t think I’m ignoring you out of malice; I have a few asks I yearn to respond to in my inbox rn but I just need to draw something for em!
If you have said something like this and I ask you not to because it’s rude, please just apologise and promise you won’t do it again. Do not argue with me and make me feel stupid/belittle me for my boundaries. That adds salt into the wound and you will be blocked.
I will not dislike you or hate you for a misstep; it’s just about respecting me and my art.
On that note, I don’t condone people comparing my au to other animal AUs, or other artists in general. Do not tell another artist mine is better than theirs or vice versa. That is also rude and frankly, toxic. We are all human beings and deserve to be respected.
Having said all this, I want to say that if you have your own animal au; please don’t be scared to tell me about it! I love hearing and seeing others interpretations of the characters, all are valid in their own unique ways.
I also do not mind if you draw yours interacting with mine, in fact I love it! So don’t be scared to show me.
And lastly, I want to shout out some very cool people that also have animal aus for you all to enjoy!!
These guys are great and their art rocks. Please support them!

Hi! You are awesome, your blog is awesome, it's a great inspiration and very interesting to read!
(I even want to translate some of the posts, with credits and everything, to share your awesomeness with not-english-speaking part of the fandom, if you don't mind)
I saw you helped other fans with creating looks for their original characters... Please, can you give an advice: where to look for references if I want to draw an AU with Yue being saved by not the Moon, but the Ocean spirit? Just mentioning the general direction would be great! She definitely should have a different hairstyle (+hair color ofc), a different spirit-form and a different name... I barely know anything about asian/ingenious cultures and don't want to make rude mistakes.
I know it's a lot so any small advice will be very helpful.
And thank you for your posts, you are absolutely amazing! 💜
Aww, thank you! I'd love it if you translated my posts into German. <3
Interestingly enough, both the Chinese and Inuit ocean deities are women, so there is plenty of inspiration to draw from for Yue. ^_^
Like most mythology, these stories have countless versions. I'll be choosing the versions that are most relevant to Yue. This will be a two-part post, with the first part covering Inuit culture.
Inuit Mythology: Sanna / Sedna
Tumblr media
There was once a beautiful and kind girl named Sanna who did not want to marry and turned down many suitors. One day, a seemingly talented hunter passes through her village and demands she become his wife. Her father decides to marry her off against her will, in exchange for the hunter's large haul of fish.
The man reveals himself to be a powerful raven in disguise and carries her off to his nest--- this won't be the only time that The Raven tries to kidnap a pretty girl in Inuit mythology. Realizing his mistake, Sanna's father gets in his boat and steals her back from The Raven's nest. As he and Sanna begin rowing away, The Raven flaps it great wings and conjures up a storm.
Fearing The Raven's wrath, Sanna's father throws her into the sea as an offering. She swims back to the boat and grabs on to its edge to stay afloat. Fearing that she'll capsize the boat with her weight, her (asshole) father chops her fingers off in a panic.
Poor Sanna sinks helplessly into the ocean, her chopped off fingers following behind her. Fortunately, she is reborn as the Mother of the Sea and her chopped off fingers transform into the beloved sea mammals of the Arctic (and a much more substantial food source than fish): Whales, narwhals, seals, sea lions, and walruses.
The waters and animals that Sanna watches over will be good to those who treat animals and other people with respect.
You can see how her tale relates to Yue's story. Physically speaking, Sanna is often portrayed as resembling a mermaid, but with a seal's tail. Yue's hair could be black like a murky ocean. I also think it would be cool if you gave Yue line tattoos on her fingers, to represent the tragedy that befell Sanna.
Additional Thoughts
I like the idea of ocean goddess/mermaid Sanna wearing a parka with mittens; she only takes off her mittens to show off her finger stubs and give people a little fright. She's got a sense of humor about it. ^_^
Chukchi people, who are culturally similar and geographic neighbors to Inupiat people, believe the ocean god is the son of The Raven. I guess their version of Sanna ended up staying and having kids with her bird husband.
Sanna's story is so heart-wrenching. She should spend the rest of her days playing with baby seals and pranking people with her hands.

Madoka Magica Ship Analysis - KyouSaya
Based on these two polls [X] [X], I will write an analysis that'll also include how I feel about the ship (similarly to my Digimon shipping game analysis posts).
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: I won't claim this to be a conclusive/definitive analysis of all of the ship's aspects. I have watched the original 12-episode-series and movies (including Rebellion), the Magia Record anime and I've read several manga series (the Original, The Different Story, Wraith Arc, Rebellion Story, Oriko Magica, Another Story, Mitakihara Anti-Materials). But I'm aware that I haven't seen/read all of what's out there and am also not thoroughly familiar with the games. Plus, oftentimes, ship dynamics vary depending on which series/timeline you are looking at. I'm fairly certain that thousands of words must have been written about this ship already, better and more elaborate than I probably ever could - so this is going to be my personal take on it.
(Disclaimer 2.0: I may have been a little critical of them by the end of it all, but I tried my best to phrase it all in diplomatic ways! I have no intention of discrediting the ship or anyone who enjoys it, but wanted to put my own perception, interpretation and preference into words.)
Whether canon provides input on them or not.
As one of the - if not the second - most prominent combinations in the entirety of the PMMM franchise, both in terms of canon and promotional/merchandise material, KyouSaya is a ship that should be familiar to the viewer. In the "main storyline", Sayaka Miki and Kyouko Sakura are basically set up as parallels, contrasts, opposing forces that are "actually more similar than they are/at least one of them is capable of admitting (at first)"... As with the majority of PMMM ships, there is a tragic sense of "missed opportunities", "we were so close/almost there" or "wrong place at the wrong time" when it comes to their compatibility - and, just like with HomuMado, it really depends on what "versions" of them you are referring to when estimating whether or not they make a good pair. But, once more, let's start at the beginning:
When they first meet in the main storyline, they immediately clash due to their opposing values, intentions and general approaches of being Magical Girls: Sayaka treats her duty with a sense of moral superiority, she sees herself as a soldier of justice who fights to save others and defeat Witches for the sake of doing "the right/good thing". Kyouko on the other hand appears to fight with selfish ignorance, carelessly stating that she doesn't mind causing human victims by letting familiars grow if it means defeating more Witches and gathering enough Grief Seeds to sustain herself. As she and her approach are being ridiculed by Kyouko, Sayaka's initial response is wrath, hatred - and so, their first encounter ends in a fight, with either of them being perfectly ready to kill the other...
The most tragic aspect of them meeting at this specific moment in time - and also in several other timelines as well - is the fact that their attitudes were shaped by their individual relationships and experiences with Mami AND their respective (outcomes of their) wishes. Sayaka - who had never witnessed Mami's own insecurities and feelings of loneliness - puts Mami on a pedestal of being the perfect Magical Girl. And, even if she was warned by her not to make a wish with the wrong intentions on behalf of someone else, Sayaka's intention is to be a worthy successor to the idealized version of Mami in her head, being "perfect" in her place. Kyouko, as we learn in The Different Story, used to be Mami's disciple, enthusiastic, willing to learn, believing in doing the right thing for the sake of others. But as she had to realize that her wish on behalf of her father (= wishing for people to listen to his preaching properly) turned out to be the downfall of her entire family, she decided to put up a front. Not only did she push her closest friend Mami away - whom she felt was only looking down on her as a weakling -, she also began to fight with reckless abandon and a mask of harshness, only for herself, never to let anyone get close again.
It's this version of Kyouko who sees her "former self" in Sayaka - watching her make the same mistake she used to make, believing in the idealized righteousness of being a Magical Girl, fighting for "good" like the hero in a fairy tale. However, this version of Kyouko - who grew hardened, bitter and ruthless by her experiences and who cannot stand seeing Sayaka like this - isn't capable of reaching through to Sayaka. Because her approach, as much as she may be able to understand her, isn't heard by this version of Sayaka. Whether it's Kyouko's (cruel) teasing or her actually opening up to her, offering her an "apple of wisdom" - Sayaka is bound to reject her, clinging to her unreachable ideal, which is slowly but steadily crumbling;
Because upon learning about what it means to be a Magical Girl, Sayaka continues to fall down the path of despair, losing faith in the world being worth saving. Not only does she start to fight with reckless abandon herself (just like Kyouko did), she feels like a "zombie", an "idiot" who made her wish for the wrong, selfish reasons (= subconsciously wanting the appreciation and love from the person she liked in exchange for healing him). And now she doesn't even deem herself worthy of love anymore. Pushing away everyone herself now with hurtful words (just like Kyouko did), even her best friend Madoka, it's Kyouko who ends up as the one who keeps her company during her last moments of "being human". Kyouko, who, deep down inside, must have felt a sense of kinship, who related to Sayaka in ways she couldn't fully explain or convey properly at this point in time... Who ends up wishing to find a way to bring Sayaka back from her Witch state and restore her own faith in fairy tales, hoping to see good overcome evil one last time. In the end, all she can do is sacrifice herself - to make sure that neither Sayaka nor herself, who both isolated themselves from everyone they loved, would have to die all alone.
... And thus, it isn't really surprising that the version Sayaka who gained awareness of all of this - we shall call her LawOfCycles!Sayaka - feels a certain attraction towards Kyouko. Maybe even a sense of guilt - for not having listened to and actually having seen her, for having pushed her away and for not realizing how much they had in common. In Rebellion Story, the version of Kyouko we see had never encountered the Witch system and thus never went through the events described above with Sayaka - because this version of Kyouko came from the Wraith!universe created by Madokami. However, this Kyouko stated that she had been on the brink of "becoming friends with Sayaka" before she was "taken away" - and thus, LawOfCycles!Sayaka, who may or may not have been partly/fully aware of her mission and her previous "selves" for most of Rebellion, actually becomes close friends with WraithArc!Kyouko within Homura's idealized world inside of her Soul Gem.
Of course they are still clashing due to their opposing values in various aspects of life - but they do so in a playful, teasing and, most importantly, peaceful way. In an ideal world they are on good terms with each other, go to school, even live together, where blue and red aren't working against but with each other as the complementary colours they are. Really, nobody could have blamed Sayaka for wanting to maintain a universe like this, continuing to live her best life (after getting over Kyousuke and wishing him and Hitomi well), even though she knew she HAD TO fulfill her mission to rescue Homura. And so, one cannot help but feel like her confession towards Kyouko, saying she had "only one regret" to have "left her behind", does have a romantic subtext attached to it... Especially considering how devastated Kyouko appears at the idea of having to part ways again. With Homucifer then creating a new universe, serving as a fake happy place for everyone involved, she at least granted them another short period of bliss...
Long story short - just like the majority of the PMMM ships, KyouSaya are doomed by the narrative - and usually not meant to be happy together as their own selves in the same universe, it seems.
Whether I think why and how they’d work.
Without going all out on the subtext symbolism of Sayaka's arc, one REALLY cannot help but feel like it was always meant to be a metaphor for her overcoming her comp-het phase: Main story!Sayaka was failing due to committing to her (subtextual heteronormative) ideals (= clinging onto her wish to impress Kyousuke) and she could only overcome her doom as LawOfCycles!Sayaka, who gained awareness and worked hard to develop a bond with someone - a girl - she used to reject (= Kyouko).
However, as outlined above - this also means that Sayaka will not be compatible with Kyouko unless she gains the awareness of LawOfCycles!Sayaka. And that's where I, personally, have always had my issues with the ship from a romantic angle. Despite them fulfilling the typical blue/red ship tropes at first glance, consisting of two opposing forces (Sayaka's commitment to correctness vs. Kyouko's more easygoing attitude) who complement each other once they work together... Their underlying similarities would make it easy for them to relate to one another if they stopped hiding them from one another (Sayaka also having a side that would like to slack off more vs. Kyouko also having a very loyal, protective side).
There is a sense of competitive pride going on between them that, in my opinion, may make it difficult for them to allow romantic feelings to grow. Through the course of the main story, it becomes obvious that Kyouko develops a strong fondness and affection towards Sayaka in the end - but has issues putting those feelings into words in a non!Tsundere way, so Sayaka's can accept them. Whereas LawOfCycles!Sayaka, who witnessed all the effort Kyouko put into saving her, also grew more fond of Kyouko... But, as mentioned above, there also seems to be a lingering sense of guilt within her, so it's not entirely clear if she's aware of her true intentions yet again. These girls were heavily traumatized by what happened to them, both hardened by the experience - and weren't able to ever fully reconcile with each other in their own timelines. Sometimes they didn't get to know or even meet each other properly and, in such cases, couldn't stand each other's guts. And now, LawOfCycles!Sayaka can only reconcile with WraithArc!Kyouko in a playful, affectionate manner. NOW that she has seen it all. And Kyouko may also subconsciously feel drawn to Sayaka after the mistakes she made with Mami before, not wanting to make them again...
Without elaborating on this much further, it's not even a question that all of the girls (no exceptions!!!) would need copious amounts of therapy - and the chance to actually become adults - to make healthy relationships work. A Sayaka who, even without the influence of being God's agent, gains an understanding of Kyouko's personality, might actually be able to put her pride aside and let her in. The same goes for Kyouko, who also has to drop the mask of ignorance and pride in order not to just casually joke and tease whenever Sayaka is in the same room - and instead, actually learn to be open, vulnerable and honest with Sayaka. As traumatized 14-year-olds, they may be too aggressive, too competitive to allow genuine romance to bloom, as they're not able to grasp and cater to the needs of the other. For instance, Sayaka couldn't reciprocate Kyouko's love language before (giving/accepting gifts, such as advice or, more importantly, food) and vice versa (acts of service in regards to fighting and protecting heroically). And thus, they may end up, even unintentionally, hurting each other instead.
My personal verdict is that they'd have an easier time opening up to other members of the Holy Quintet because of their personality structures. As complementary as they are, as much as opposites attract and as much as they genuinely value each other deep down inside - they may certainly give each other short-term comfort and have lots of fun, but are probably TOO different in how they live out their similar values to work out in the long run.
Whether I’d prefer them as platonic or romantic ship.
I didn't intend to get too "negative" about KyouSaya as a whole, since I can absolutely see and understand the romantic appeal many, many people see in this ship. Personally, the red/blue ships (as well as the "enemies/rivals to lovers" trope in general) are rarely my favourites in a series, there have to be specific circumstances for me to enjoy them - which is perfectly fine, since everyone has their preferences! With everything I have outlined above, I was never too fond of Sayaka and Kyouko as a romantic couple. Instead, I always enjoyed them most as each other's wing-women; bantering and teasing each other endlessly as acquaintances who would slowly but steadily become good, close friends, supporting and having each other's backs.

Can you tell me more about Kalymir's hell hounds? What do they look like what are they used for? Can I pet them?
Well. They look like an inferior cerberus, vaguely. They're quite large, Kalymir obviously fancies breeds that are larger than him and quite murderous.
I have no set visual reference for them, but they have hard keratin protrusions on several parts of their bodies generally. Some of them have bony faces and snouts, generally dark in coloration. They work closely with actual cerberi.
They're guards, they're war animals, and they're used to aid cerberi regulate traveling between Hell Rings, as well as stop demons from just carelessly entering random rifts to the surface. Kalymir usually only cares for animals that can aid him in acts of war or terrorizing others, so it's safe to say a lot of species in Wrath have been manipulated and forcibly tamed/engineered to serve such a purpose. Just like his nuckelavee steeds.
Can you pet one? Sure! You probably won't get to keep your limbs intact, but knock yourself out. In fact, trying to pet anything from Wrath is a wonderful idea! ((dripping sarcasm))
Kalymir will not help you in this. Like any standard dog breed, a Hell hound will sense fear and hesitation in you immediately. Even if you are entirely self-assured, they'll still snarl at you openly. You bare the size and smell of prey, so you'll have to frighten them to prove that you're more than just a snack. How you achieve this is what makes things interesting. Provided the King is around, the hounds will not attack you, for they know Kalymir can flip them upside down easily.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind: Why This is My Favourite Ghibli Movie
CW: Major high-school English teacher vibes ahead. Proceed at your own risk.
Nausicaä of the valley of wind is a story of the titular character Nausicaä and her being a bridge between the world of humans and nature to bring peace, thus fulfilling an ancient prophecy.
Tumblr media
Nausicaa is the princess of the Valley of the Wind. The film begins with her walking and exploring the Sea of Decay, an area with toxic air, plants and fungal spores. She collects some spores and finds the hard molten shell of an Ohmu (gigantic blue-blooded trilobite-looking creatures), which her people use to make weapons and tools. As the name suggests, the Valley of the Wind is a civilisation that depends on and bases their culture around wind, which one can see through an abundance of windmills and gliders, including the one that Nausicaä rides. They are shown to be peaceful people who do not interfere with the politics of the warring human kingdoms or disturb nature. Nausicaä in particular is shown to have a special gift with animals—from calming Ohmus to having a pet fox-squirrel. As the existence of the kingdom depends on the sea wind that shields them from the effects of the sea of decay, there is a general reverence towards nature and its other members such as the Ohmus, that are often referred to with honorifics.
This was an element I liked: the symbolism goes deep in this film; for example, with the nature of wind—it being the very breath necessary for life is contrasted with its other face, through toxic spores in the sea of decay capable of killing anyone who inhales it.
Tumblr media
It is revealed that humans had built The Giant Men, weapons so dangerous—not unlike our atomic bombs as shown through the characteristic mushroom cloud—that the destruction caused by the war had unleashed the fury of the Ohmus, an otherwise gentle species. They wiped out entire civilisations and where they died, the Sea of Decay grew on their decomposing corpses, showing how all life is interconnected and that even in death the rage of the Ohmus, and through them the rage of nature, wouldn't subside. It is then that the viewers find out that this is not some far-off planet, but a post-apocalyptic future on earth.
New species of plants and fungi made the Sea of Decay their habitat—nature and life always find a way. It is implied that the humans lost the war referred to as the Seven days of Fire, but the truth is that it is not a war that can ever be won. Even if you win the war against nature you lose. As the story progresses, we see that the plants and fungi that Nausicaä collected from the Sea of Decay are actually trying to purify the soil and water—nature holds no grudges but only seeks balance.
Tumblr media
The seventh of the Giant Men, a sentient atomic bomb if you will, apparently hid underground for a thousand years until the kingdom of Pejite found it for use against their enemy, the Tolmekians. They both remain oblivious to the sheer destruction that can be caused by this Giant Man and they don't care either. Despite the balance between humans and nature being a delicate one, instead of trying to rebuild together, they justify to themselves that the war is necessary for self-preservation and to put humans back on top of the food chain.
In their hubris, the Tolmekians and their princess Kushana believe that with the help of their superweapon they can destroy the Sea of Decay despite knowing that it will trigger the wrath of the Ohmus. The Giant Man however is not complete and hence, though the devastation is great, the final giant man dies and all that remains to be done is to calm the wrath of the Ohmus.
Tumblr media
Nausicaä saves an Ohmu child who was injured by Tolmekian soldiers to lure the Ohmus into a war. She saves the baby Ohmu and sacrifices her own life to calm the sea of maddened Ohmus. The now-calm Ohmu then revive Nausicaä, symbolising the mystical healing power of nature and its ability to support and create life.
Nausicaä is an excellent protagonist, and how the trope of the chosen one is utilised is beautiful and full of symbolism. Right from the get-go, we see her being inquisitive and brave. She is willing to defend her people but not through violence. And it is made abundantly clear that her avoidance of violence is not due to any lack of strength; when she strikes down the soldiers who killed her father, rather than feeling any sense of pride (as one might expect from a character not used to strength), it sickens her. She shows understanding even towards Kushana, whose men took over her kingdom. She sincerely loves and respects animals and plants.
There was a prophecy among the people of the valley of wind that a person clad in blue over golden fields will save their kingdom and bring peace. And towards the end of the film, Nausicaä's clothes becoming blue with the blood of the baby Ohmu she saved and the golden fields being the tendrils of the Ohmus healing her is poetic to say the least.
Tumblr media
In addition to a good female protagonist, we also get a powerful female antagonist in Kushana, who starts out as a one-note expansionist ruler, but it is revealed that she lost her limbs and got severely maimed by the sea of decay, motivating her to destroy it once and for all. Proud and arrogant, sure, but she has a motive beyond just wanting power and possesses some form of a moral code. In another story she could be the protagonist bravely defending humanity against the evil, alien-esque trilobites and spores.
It was a unique and meaningful choice on Miyazaki's part to symbolise nature through the Ohmus—alien-looking giant insects—instead of something cute and fluffy. Oftentimes humans care more about the conservation of animals that they find cute (pandas over, say, Panamanian golden frogs), but an animal doesn't have to appeal to human aesthetics to be worth conserving.
Absolutely not to be missed is the breathtaking soundtrack by Hisaishi. There are symphonies, techno music, sitar-like instruments and a child's humming, all elevating every scene to give a moving experience.
Ultimately it is an ambitious story that aims to deal with themes of coexisting with nature, the futility and dangers of war, and of how innocent children who should live carefree lives are dragged into it and made heroes. This film is often categorised as falling into the genre of Solarpunk: a literary and artistic movement that centres around building a sustainable future interconnected with nature and community. Although this film does depict violence and wars, it ultimately shows a peaceful future is possible.
Truly a masterpiece. 9/10.

My Interpretation of what the Sins mean in Limbus Company
Alright so, I've wanted to do this for a while, but it took me a while to come up with a definition for every Sin that was satisfying for me personally. Fortunately, with the end of Canto 7, I've finally put the pieces together!
Also, shout-out to @lu-is-not-ok for inspiring me to do this (also some of my interpretations probably overlap with his). Without further ado, let us begin!
Wrath: in my opinion, Wrath is the Sin of defiance, the sin of not being satisfied with one's condition in life and seeking to change it, even to the point of self-destruction, like a fire that inevitably burns itself out. The best example of a Wrathful character I can think of would be Angela, before the true end of the game, where she was so focused on screwing over A that she literally made herself vulnerable to injury. For a more Limbus-y example, Ishmael is probably the best, considering that the unofficial subtitle for Canto 5 was "Blind Obsession" and her whole "thing" in that Canto was destroying her mental state in order to get at Ahab.
I think all Sins are associated with a certain emotional state, and they're certainly related to the primary status effects. Wrath is related to the emotion of anger and the status of Burn. If you need evidence of Wrath being related to anger, I refer you to the end of 5-35. As for why Wrath is associated with Burn, I personally have two reasons for it, one being, "fuck you, you think I can only hit you on /my/ turn?!" And the other being that Burn is a stand in for the sabotage that often comes with rebellion, where you're able to soften up the enemy without having to directly engage them, which makes overthrowing them easier than it would be.
Lust: Alright, this is the Sin that I had the most trouble with while I was thinking of this on my own, so it might not be the best reasoned part of this analysis. With that being said, Lust is the Sin of emotional fulfillment, to the point of insanity. This might be a hard idea to grasp at first, so I'll explain it with the example that gave me this breakthrough, the Bloodfiends. All of the Bloodfiend IDs we have have a Lust skill, which represents the thirst for blood, but it manifests differently based on their generation. The Third Kindred have a Gluttony skill, which represents the hunger of their disease, but the Second Kindred don't, because they don't feel that hunger as intensely as the Third Kindred.
This means that Lust must represent the emotional dependency that the Bloodfiends have on blood, since that is what is shared between all Kindred, they "need" blood to feel "happiness". This means, in a broader sense, that Lust is the desire to feel happy/content with the work that you've done, even if that means sacrificing your morals or common sense in order to do so. Lust is thus associated with the emotion of happiness and the status of Bleed. I think I've already made my case for Lust being associated with happiness, but why is it associated with Bleed? Honestly, I'm not sure, but my best guess is that it has to do with the concept of "completing one's work". Bleed is essentially that anime trope where someone swings their sword and the other guy explodes ten seconds later, so it isn't unreasonable to associate it with the Sin that's about finding fulfillment in life.
Sloth: This is the Sin of compliance, of not fighting against the flow, even if it would be in your best interest to fight against it (aka the Sin of the US lol). In some ways it is the opposite of Wrath, but that doesn't mean that they can't go together. Such a combination to me suggests the idea of "useless wrath," or fighting a war that you don't think you can win. For a good exploration of this concept, I recommend "Understanding That 'Rat in a Cage' Song" by 12tone on YouTube. For an exploration of Sloth by itself, let's look at Yi Sang. Dude is depressed for real. Ever since the League of Nine disbanded, he physically could not muster the energy to resist other people if he wanted to. Even when he escaped N Corp., it was only because of the instructions that Sang Yi gave him that he even tried to escape. It was not until the very end of Canto 4 that he was able to find his own strength, his "Wings". As a side note before we move on, a lot of this also applies to Gregor, please keep an eye on him, and anyone in your real life who acts like Greg, they need as much support as you can muster.
All of this means that Sloth's emotion is, in fact, the lack of emotion, as Sloth has no internality of its own, only continuing on as it is bidden. Sloth is associated with Tremor, and as Zwei Ishmael has told us, Tremor is essentially knocking your opponent off-balance so you have an easier time defeating them, which tracks with another trend of Sloth based design, which is outlasting the enemy, mostly by being tanky in some way. Since Sloth lacks emotions, it also lacks an emotional investment in conflict, and as any Ruina veteran can tell you, the more emotional a fight is, the more intense the fight is, which means the low intensity nature of Sloth lends itself well to this outlasting type of fighting style that Tremor and tankiness allow.
Bruh, it's midnight how am I only halfway done 😭
Gluttony: Gluttony is the Sin of desire, and for the longest time, I could not find a good way to make it distinct from Lust, or more accurately, make Lust distinct from Gluttony. This is because "desire" is a really broad concept that could theoretically encompass every other Sin except for maybe Sloth. However, since Limbus mostly represents Gluttony through the lens of consumption and hunger, that does narrow it a bit. Specifically, Gluttony is the need to survive or achieve something, and the horrible things that people can be pushed to in order to do so. Sinclair and Gregor are kind of the go-to for examples of Gluttony because they're the most "normal" of the crew, just trying to not die every 20 seconds, however I also want to mention Faust, since she has a surprising amount of Gluttony for someone so aloof, which suggests some kind of desperation she had that we haven't really gotten to see, even in Murder on the Warp Express.
This leads to Gluttony's emotion, which is desperation. That might be a weird thing to call an emotion, but think about it, hasn't every one felt a deep "need" to do something cloying at them deep in their stomach at some point? It might be a bit dramatic to call that "desperation" but I need to call it something, and that's what came first! Gluttony is associated with Rupture, which is probably the easiest connection to make between Sin and Status. Gluttony is all about trying to survive in a very "kill or be killed" kind of way and Rupture lets you deal more damage per attack, thus letting you kill your enemy before they can kill you.
Gloom: Most people think Gloom is the Sin of depression, but from the thinking and research I've done, I think it's more complicated than that. To me, Gloom is the Sin of introspection, of facing your own flaws and moving past them, of sinking into the murky depths of your /own/ mind and dredging up the confidence that is found by staring into that abyss. I mostly came to this conclusion because of how Gloom interacts with not just Sinking, but SP as a mechanic in general.
Identities with Gloom often have a focus on SP outside of using Sinking, like Red Eyes Ryoshu's Penitence status or Butler Outis' ridiculous SP gain. If Gloom were purely depressive, why is there so much focus on stabilizing your own mental state? This leads to Gloom's connection to Sinking. If Gloom is about introspection and, dare I say, Realization, then Sinking is forcing people to look at themselves and confront their flaws, and most people can't handle that without preparation so their morale falters, possibly throwing them into a panic. Emotionally, Gloom is most resonant with sadness, I feel. That might contrast with what I've been saying, but introspection can certainly be painful and the most Gloom based characters we've seen like Sinclair and Ishmael aren't the most upbeat people. This would technically make Gloom the opposite of Lust but they can certainly be combined to create what is known as a "well-rounded person". To better understand this concept I recommend seeing: a therapist.
Pride: To me, Pride is the Sin of going your own way and refining yourself regardless of what others think of your path. The best example of Pride would of course be the Blade Lineage. This Syndicate is a rough collection of swordsmen from S Corp. that were exiled and seek to restore the honor that's been lost in S Corp. Something interesting to note is the abundance of Sin Affinities among the BL IDs, which highlights how the Blade Lineage are unique people with their own talents and stories to tell, united by their common purpose.
Emotionally, Pride resonates with calmness. While not traditionally an emotion, calm is certainly a kind of emotional /state/ that allows you to focus on what you need and want to do with your life. Also, this is not the same thing as Sloth's emotion, if you mistake a lack of emotion for calmness, please refer to the end of the Gloom section. Pride relates to Poise, which is pretty simple, the calmness of Pride allows you to strike deeper than you ordinarily would.
Yeesh, it's 2 am. At least there's only one left.
Envy: Envy is the Sin of comparison, of acting because of what someone else has done. This is distinct from Sloth because Envy is about the response to others' actions, which can often mean fighting against the "flow" that Sloth would follow. It's also distinct from Wrath because Wrath can be self-motivated, without any one event or person to prompt the Wrathful actions, while Envy is defined by that prompt. The best example of Envy, would of course be Heathcliff. Basically everything this guy has ever done is because somebody else fucked with him somehow, be it Cathy giving him a crush, the people of Wuthering Heights beating him up, or even Dante and Cathy making the choice to erase her from the Mirror without his input, prompting him to care about the power of the Golden Bough for the first time since joining Limbus Company.
Envy connects with the emotion of jealousy, a desire for what someone else has that you lack, which is pretty self-explanatory. But how does this have anything to do with Charge of all things? Well, I think that Charge is representative of the "journey" of Envy. You start out normally and don't have the full investment into the fight that you could have, but as the enemy continues to push you to your limits, the intensity increases and you put more and more effort behind your attacks to retaliate and push them back. It might be a bit generic, but that's kinda what Charge is, right?
Welp, that was a long read right, but we're finally done! Thank you for reading through my very indepth thoughts on this all the way through!
Worm regards, everyone!

Analyzing the Circus & Biblical Elements in Hellaverse: Asmodeus
Tumblr media
And other things, I guess
The embodiment of Lust, one of the most dangerous sins in Mythology, your demon hoste, Asmodeus!
Something I absolutely love about the sins designs is the fact that they're all animals, with Lucifer being the only human one. It really adds to the whole circus element. But, while Ozzie is a chicken, I really also want to talk about the demonic aspects as well and why his design works for him!
Why Asmodeus is a Rooster
The first reason is because another word for Rooster is cock, so the Ruler of the Lust Ring is a giant cock. And, in this world, all the Goetia Demons are birds.
ANYWAYS, there's also other reasons why he's a cock (Im not calling them roosters anymore). In general, cocks symbolize masculinity, pride, enthusiasm, strength, honesty, and most importantly for Big O, sexuality. Makes sense, though. For farming, the entire point of roosters is to protect and mate with the females. And while Ozzie is most likely pan, and he's dating a dude, his entire thing is still sex.
The masculinity and pride element is there as well. Stereotypically, masculinity is being really buff and dominant. Ozzie is literally a king and is buff as hell (I still wonder why his arms shrink sm when he's in his regular outfit. Maybe Fizz is right about him being really good at "squeezing things in."
Tumblr media
But, it also doesn't just mean physical strength, it can also refer to mental strength as well. And, let's be real here, Ozzie is one of the most mentally healthy characters in this show.
Strength can also be used for protection, and since roosters protect hens, it could also be seen with how Ozzie is very protective of Fizz and is also one of the few sins we've seen who seems to somewhat care about his citizens. From what we've seen of Lust, it's one of the safer and healthier rings to live in. Ozzie is shown to be very prideful of his sin as well, so it makes sense that he'd want to protect the people who feel lust and live in the Lust Ring, which is why he also despises noncon stuff. (I've heard some people say him not liking noncon stuff doesn't make sense bcuz that's the prime of lust, but SA is more wrath and greed than lust.)
But, his pride for his sin is the next thing. Roosters are prideful, and Ozzie is very prideful of his Ring and his work, and his club. Also, this is probably just a coincidence, but did you know that Lust & Pride were some of the most dangerous sins in mythology? I think it's bcuz they both alienate from God or smthn like that. I Kinda like these 2 overlapping for that reason.
Another thing: did you know that he's also a moth, which is why he has the fluff an antenna? Kolkocat on YouTube said that Vaggie is a moth bcuz of "women if the night referring to prostitution" (she was theorizing about her death, btw), and I think that fits. Val's a moth for the same reason. I also think the fluff could be lion related since they're also symbolized as kings.
Demon Elements
Tumblr media
Asmodeus & Mammon are one of the two characters I've seen that look the most like their biblical counterparts, so talking about their designs is the most fun.
We've all noticed that Ozzie has three heads, right? That's actually from his biblical design!
Tumblr media
This is from The Lesser Key of Solomon Book!
Honestly, I have no idea why he looks so fucking ugly. My Christian friend theorizes that it's because it's supposed to show that Lust is an ugly sin, and while I absolutely love that explanation, it probably means nothing, considering it was the 1500s and they just wanted to make demons look as ugly as possible so people wouldn't fall into sin.
But, I love how semlesy they incorporated the horse head and goat head into his design. Though, in the show, I think it's a gost head instead of a horse head. God, I need to talk about Bull and Goat symbolism now, don't I?
Bulls are interesting. They symbolize strength, but they also symbolize fertility. And, like cocks, they're also primarily used by farmers to mate with the females (his design really just fucking screams "HEY LOOK! HES THE EMBODIMENT OF LUST! HE FUCKS A LOT! DO YOU UNDERSTAND???")
Goats are easy. They symbolize the devil so much. Hell, the demon Baphomet is litterally just a winged goat. They're also commonly associated with demons bcuz of their eyes and horns. But they also symbolize another thing which is, you guessed it! FERTILITY.
Circus Elements
Tumblr media
Actually going back tho the title elements, wooh! (I'm so sorry for getting off topic on all of these).
In a Tweet, Vivzie mentions that all the sins represent a Circus Act, with Bee being an animals trainer which is why she has so many hoops on her design and in her mansion. Ayy Lmao on YouTube theorizes that for Asmodues, he is a dancer and trapeze artist since his club has so many dance and trapeze things.
Tumblr media
But, bcuz I'm a chatty little bitch, I want to add to this.
I think Ozzie could be seen as a secondary ringmaster to Lucifer. Yes, he's obviously a pimp, but his outfit reminds me of a cool, modern ringmaster, especially with the tophat, boots, and glowing suit.
Tumblr media
It makes sense as well because his entire club has a Circus theme to it. And, again, Lust & Pride are said to be the most dangerous sins. Perhaps Lucifer communicated with him the most about Hell.
Also, bcuz I won't get to the others for a while, he also said theorized about this for the other sins
Satan (wrath): Strongman bcuz his app is a weight lifting app, Bee mentions his abs, and it makes sense the sin of Wrath would be Strong.
Mammon: Obviously a clown
Belphagor (sloth): He said contortionist since her ring has to do with Healthcare, but this person pointed this out, and I like this theory a lot better
Tumblr media
Leviathan (envy): He chose Magician for them because they would want to conjure things that they don't have.
Thanks for coming to my messy essay that would make my English teacher cry in shame at the things she has failed to teach me :)

As someone who's curious about star trek: where would you recommend I start? It's a lil overwhelming, but yall seem to be having fun!
Oh lord that is the question isn't it. Honestly the real answer is anywhere, while all of the shows take place in the same universe aside from Picard and Lower Decks they don't really require a huge amount of knowledge about any other series(and hell if you don't mind not getting some references and enjoy raunchy comedy with a heart of gold shining within it Lower Decks is a really fun time), they really do all stand on their own and even ones that are prequels or continuations like Prodigy and Strange New Worlds are pretty self contained.
Personally though(and people will likely kill me for this but whatever) I started with the 2009 Star Trek film and I legit do think it does a really good job of getting a new audience the info they need on how the universe works and who some of the big characters in The Original Series are while also being fun and accessible and, crucially, not a huge time sink. I think a LOT of people get intimidated out of Trek because most of the shows are long as fuck and while I say this with love...not all of them hit the ground running. So yeah, it's snappy, it's exciting, it preserves whats important, and it's basically designed as an entry point, so it's worth a watch. And I'm just a huge sucker for Chris Pine, his Kirk is a bit more openly feral than the original and I honestly love that for him <3
However!! I would NOT recommend watching the other two films, Into Darkness and Beyond, right away. Star Trek '09 is essentially an AU of the Original Series so the story is unique, but Into Darkness is just a remix of The Wrath of Khan and NOT A GOOD ONE at that! Plus it's just...kinda dark and miserable and deviates heavily from the established feel of Star Trek that every other show managed to hold onto, which sucks. If you really wanna watch Beyond you can, and you genuinely should at some point regardless, it also is an original story that stands on it's own and to be honest is the best film of the trilogy and one of my favorite Star Trek anythings ever. It's got all the good Trek energy from the original shows while still keeping it's own identity and that's a joy to watch. So yeah, if you start with '09 I would recommend diving into a show before continuing. And maybe just not watching Into Darkness at all. It's bad.
Now, if you are a fan of animated shows for older kids like Avatar The Last Airbender, Star Trek Prodigy is genuinely a GREAT entry point. It is technically a sequel to Voyager but it is also it's own story with new main characters and it's legit meant as a way to get kids into Star Trek for the first time so it's very accessible while still being engaging and unique, and they explain stuff very clearly in a way that never feels patronizing or like it's talking down to the viewers. I legit got tear-y eyed watching the scene where they explain Starfleet just because I'm so glad it exists to welcom people in to a world I love so dearly. That and it's also SO good like I cannot stress enough this show fucking rules. It even has a nonbinary character in the main cast who I adore!! I love the animation and the whole cast and the story and just ough 100/10 for sure. I would even say for people who prefer ATLA style shows over big sci-fi/action films this is the better start than '09, so it's up to you.
Moving on, as much as I love it I'm not entirely sure if I'd recommend The Next Generation as a starting point, if only because the first two seasons are REALLY rough. Like they def have some good episodes, one of my faves of the whole series is in season 2, but it's clear the show needed a couple of seasons to figure itself out before it really took off. I personally did watch TNG after Star Trek '09, but I have a very high threshold for...weird and kinda bad sci-fi so idk, take that as you will. I was willing to buckle down and get through the weird because I knew how good it was going to get, but that's just me. However, I will say once TNG gets it's legs under it there is no looking back, it gets SO good that basically all Trek shows that came after it up until very recently have been living in it's shadow for better or worse. It does ofc have some issues with racism and misogyny and other isms that are clearly due to it coming out in the 80s, but it's also incredibly progressive for not only it's time but often times ours, and overall it's a phenomenal show that is absolutely worth watching and was a lot of people's introductions to Star Trek, so it's a decent start if you don't mind dealing with some weird energy at the start.
As for Voyager, I won't lie, I fucking love it! It's also fairly self-contained, it doesn't even take place in the same part of the universe as the rest of the shows aside from Prodigy and so you don't need a lot of series knowledge to follow it. It is one of the...campier shows, def gets weird as hell at some points but it's got this wonderful spirit at the core of it that imo it always seems to find it's way back to. It is sadly a product of it's time, however, and the first officer Chakotay, while certainly not the worst Native American rep I've seen, certainly isn't the best either. I've heard Prodigy does a very good job at correcting this, but Prodigy came out like 25 years after Voyager so yeah, it is something to keep in mind if that's gonna be a deal-breaker for you. The show does at least let him be a person outside of The Problematic Bit and I appreciate that, it gives him room to shine without the baggage of writers who have no clue what they're doing weighing him down and thus he's genuinely a really great character and probably one of the best first officers in all of Trek, and again I have seen FAR worse bad rep.
Aside from that while it does get weird in it's own bad sci-fi way, all of Trek is weird in that way sometimes, and anyone who says otherwise has no clue what they're talking about. I really enjoyed Voyager, I like it more than The Next Generation for sure and is a better jumping on point than it as well. It does reference a lot of stuff from TNG though and some characters do make a reappearance, but again it's really not that hard to get the gist as the show is more than willing to explain itself. Also it had the first female captain and truly Janeway is peak I would die for her, and the opening theme makes me feel shrimp emotions.
As much as I love Lower Decks I would not recommend it as a starter show, it's very referential and it has some Pretty Bad Episodes, the end of season 2 is dead to me, and it's also an adult comedy so if that's not your vibe you won't enjoy it. I do think it's a wonderful show but yeah, def targeted at adult fans who like some vulgarity(Trek isn't exactly a kids show but it does try to stay away from swearing and sex jokes and the like) and already enjoy Star Trek. Great show, got some rocky bits for sure, and maybe not the best start for someone new. Interestingly tho I do think out of the shows I've seen it does have the BEST first season of any Trek show. It really hits the ground running and the finale is like up there with Holes in terms of a perfectly tied together narrative. Def great to see!
As for the other shows....I sadly can't say because I haven't watched them yet. I know Deep Space Nine is regarded as one of the best Trek shows overall for too many reasons to list, The Original Series has been one of the longest lasting active fandoms in all of history and is beloved by most fans(I'm really excited to watch it) for both it's depth and it's campy nonsense as well as the insane gay energy going on between Kirk and Spock and you should watch it at some point, I hear Discovery had it's own rocky start but has had fans going to bat for it for years, and Enterprise has a rep for being mid but also to this day has fans who swear more people would love it if they were willing to give it a fair shot(plus Beyond pulls from it heavily which is awesome!), and while I've heard mixed things about Strange New Worlds it also seems to be a pretty well regarded entry point and a lot of people genuinely adore it, and it's nice to see some attention get paid to TOS inspired stuff rather than everything being oops all TNG for so long.
And Picard exists. For better or worse. Maybe worse I've heard. Im not interested in watching it because I genuinely do think Trek needs to get OUT of the shadow of TNG for it's own good at this point but that's just me. Def one that should be watched AFTER The Next Generation though as it's a direct sequel and you probably won't get anything that's going on without that context.
Anyway sorry for the essay it is now 3am and I am an idiot I just LOVE Star Trek more than I could possibly ever say and overall aside from Lower Decks and Picard(and Into Darkness I am sorry I truly hate that film to an perhaps unhealthy degree) you really cannot go wrong with your starter. Also I fully welcome anyone who has seen the other shows to chime in here! I wish I could speak to them but there really is so much Star Trek and only so many hours in a day. I hope this helped though, and I wish you luck!!
(Also sorry if I dissed on anyone's faves this is my opinion ofc everyone is going to like different things and I know plenty of people enjoy the stuff I can't stand. There's a show for everyone in here and we won't always agree, but overall I think it's best to just live and let live, especially given the rare but vocal assholes who swear anything made after DS9 is bad. They are idiots and I will attack them on sight.)

Star Trek Nerding Out Time
I've been watching a lot of Star Trek recently. And it's been a full force ADHD mega marathon of my favorite franchise right now. A lot of this for the first full time.
I grew up with TNG as a kid, seeing random episodes here and there. But I never followed the storyline.
Lower Decks is one of the best shows right now. And I LOVE the fifth/final season going on. If I had any complaints, it would be that they should have 7 seasons like the 90s shows. But I digress.
I have to nerd out about this connection I just made.
Seeing Lower Decks earlier this year introduced me to Kayshon, a Tamarian who joins the Cerritos in season 2. But it's not the first time a Tamarian has been in the franchise. Kayshon is a continuation of the first episode the Tamarians were in.
Star Trek: TNG S5:E2 "Darmok" shows Picard trying to find a way to speak to the Tamarian race. This is something that's been tried before, but the other two or three captains failed. Picard found a way to communicate with them; which btw is a very poetic episode. The Tamarians joined Starfleet after that.
The star dates for this episode are 45047.2-45048.8. Because I wanted to know the dates.
Paul Winfield
Tumblr media
So here's the behind the scenes thing that makes me so interested in this episode: The actor who played Captain Dathon was Paul Winfield.
Winfield is one of those actors that's been in quite a few movies and some childhood TV shows that I enjoyed. HERE'S his IMDB page so you can peruse it for yourself.
But some notable cartoon shows he's been a part of are: Batman The Animated Series, Gargoyles, Spider-Man The Animated Series, and Batman Beyond.
He also starred in The Wrath of Khan!
Huckleberry Finn was a huge deal to read when I was a kid. And I'm pretty sure I was shown the film adaptation from 1974. I'm from the South, so my parents wanted me to read or at least watch it. But I vaguely remember seeing Winfield's rendition of Jim from that movie. I bring this up because (and I cannot prove this speculation) I believe this was one of those roles that made people pay more attention to him as an actor.
Thinking back on this was wild. Anyway, back to in-universe stuff...
Kayshon, His Eyes Open
Tumblr media
By the time of Lower Decks comes around, we see Kayshon join Starfleet.
If you haven't seen the TNG episode before the LD episode like I did, the whole concept feels random. But (and spoilers I guess) Tamarians speak in metaphor. Which causes quite a bit of understandable confusion.
When I first saw Kayshon in LD what he said seemed really random. But Commander Jack Ransom points out in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment that the Tamarians speak in metaphor. Over the course of several episodes (I'd have to track down the precise episode again) the Commander starts speaking in metaphor around Kayshon. To which he responds happily.
The attention to detail between TNG and LD is phenomenal. I want to rewatch LD in general, but now I have yet another reference to look out for.
Seeing the TNG episode had me make the connection after seeing the Tamarians for the first time. And it felt like a Canon Event.

How the Primary Olympians (and Heracles) would play WoW.
Alright now that I have a decent chunk of time to kill before I have to run Mythic+ Keys here's what I think the Race/Class Combos of the Primary Olympians (and Heracles) would be if I had to pick.
Zeus: Tauren Elemental Shaman: Yeah Zeus would play as a Shaman so he could be the Thunder Bringer and Lightning Wielder and probably be good at it. Also the Tauren would be a reference to his kidnapping of Europa as a bull and he'd be disappointed to learn the people playing hot characters in game aren't hot in real life (usually).
Hera: Blood Elf Arcane Mage: Considering a bulk of her myths is transforming people into animals and her powers are generalized magic, I can see her matching the vibe of a Blood Elf Mage plus they have mounts that are closet to peacocks. Probably will deal with a lot of people asking to RP with her but Hera being Hera that will go nowhere.
Poseidon: Kul'tran Human Restoration/Enhancement Shaman: God of the Sea, Earthquakes and Horse and he gets to be a race that allows him to be all 3. And shockingly enough he'd be good at both specs. Probably do a lot of exploring of the underwater portions of Azeroth
Demeter: Kul'tiran Human Restoration/Balance Druid: Probably would be really eager to show off the wrath of nature and be a natural healer but would also be great at DPSing as Balance. Also would take this as a chance to spend more time with Persephone.
Hades: Void Elf Unholy Death Knight: While Class and Spec was obvious I can honestly see Hades choosing to play a Void Elf, it kind of matches with his whole theme and vibe. Probably be in love with the Two Headed Lava Dog Pet you get with adding an authenticator and do everything with Persephone.
Persephone: Night Elf Demonology Warlock: Night Elf to match the theme of her being a Goddess of Nature and because they usually look the cutest, and Warlock to fit in the Dread Queen Persephone motif as she summons demons to attack her foes. Probably has a Druid Alt whenever she plays with her mom.
Hestia: Dwarven Holy Priestess: I was so tempted to put mage but Hestia is too pure to do damage...usually but she would kill as a cozy looking dwarf that's just looking to heal people and keep her family from dying. Also she'd love RPing in the coziest places in Blizzard.
Ares: Mag'har Orc Warrior (all the specs): Yeah I said in the past that Ares would take to being an Mag'har Orc* like a fish takes to water and rock every spec like he's been playing as a Warrior since 2004 and I mean it. DPS? Top the charts. Tank? Nobody dies. PvP? Top ranked warrior. The only downside is that he miiiight get a little heated on a tough dungeon, raid, or battleground and he might have trouble getting gold and Zeus being a dick of a GM would tell him to make it his own problem until...
Aphrodite: Dracythr Shadow/Discipline Priest: Would not settle with anything less than being the prettiest class and when she finds out that the draconic looking race can stay in their visage forms during combat she'd fall in love with a race that can always look pretty. As for how she'd play, she'd love mind controlling people to attack others and being a general menace to players while still healing when it's time for her to do so.
Apollo: Nightborne Marksmanship Hunter: Shock of shocks, divine master of the bow chooses Elven Archer (he wanted to be a blood elf but Artemis insisted he be a Night Elf but compromised as a Nightborrne). And since he'd have Inscribing as a profession he'd be happy as well. Will not take kindly to anyone who outdoes him in any aspect of the game and would try to hit on any players he can but since he can't take vengeance on any player without getting banned nor will his 'godly charm' make him less insufferable as a person he'd be unable to do shit about it (which is nice).
Artemis: Night Elf Beast Mastery Hunter: It was between this and druid and Hunter won by an inch. She'd be happy to play as moon worshipping archers who value animals and the hunt, plus would quickly form a bond with any fellow hunters in game. Less so when they try to hit on her or do mailbox dancing** but since she can't react with violence all she can do is block them
Hephaestus: Dark Iron Dwarven Survival Hunter: While he would be good but not as great of a hunter as the Leto Twins it would give him a chance to easily gather materials and solo play. Also it's the only class with ready access to mechanical pets and he'd have like half a dozen Earthen Hunter Alts to gather materials for his status as the guild crafter.
Athena: Human Paladin (All Specs): Like her brother she would take well to mastering a specific class (after thoroughly testing every class and parsing a 95-99 out of a hundred and finding out this is the class she parses a 99-100 out of on every spec) and be pretty much the best Paladin player ever which is great because it means she can heal, tank, and do DPS unlike Ares. Also unlike Ares, she'd basically be the guild GM who actually manages everything where Zeus is just the head of guild who gives orders. Frequently rivals with Ares as to whether warrior or Paladin is the better class but since factions wars aren't a thing anymore they get along well and work together better.
Hermes: Gnomish Subtlety Rouge: God of thieves and spies makes for an excellent rogue and allows him to be a slippery bastard on the battlefield and cause mischief. Most likely the one who pushes for the guild to do mythic world firsts and such plus he'd probably manage the Discord Server where everyone hangs out off game
Dionysus: Pandaren Brewmaster Monk: Would take to the revelry that Pandaren have and love playing as a class that gets drunk a lot. Also would probably be drunk while playing which in turn would make it more impressive on how he's able to dominate as a tank despite being drunk all the time.
Heracles: Human Mistwalker Monk: Any class that allows him to break things with his bear hands would make him happy. He'd proudly proclaim himself to be the mightiest Windwalker Monk on Azeroth and he'd actually back that up. Frequently rivals with Ares and probably gets into Arena fights with him A LOT, but since divine intervention can't override gameplay mechanics they'd actually score wins and loses over another.
Alright that covers everyone! Now I gotta run some keys!
*Brown Skinned, Non-Cursed to be Green Skinned Orc

Aliases: Conqueror of the Staircase of Dead Bodies, Iron Cavalryman from Hell, Immortal Cacodemon, and Ghost Sergeant
Occupation: Sergeant of the Rebel Army, right-hand man of General Morden, Lance Corporal of the Marine Corps (formerly), and a high-ranking peacekeeping troop of the Regular Army (formerly)
Retirement plans: Open up an animal shelter and live the rest of his days in the countryside
Special skills: Armed and close quarters combat, crisis management, defensive tactics, and brainwashing

His body is physically resilient to shotgun blasts and a single pineapple grenade or Stielhandgranate explosion. His body contains a silver-hued regenerative agent that rapidly repairs damaged cells and tissues, giving his blood a metallic grey sheen. When wrath consumes him, his skin erupts into a fiery crimson, radiating intense heat and morphing into a semi-scaly texture.
He possesses two unique, blubber-coated, kidney-shaped organs in his thighs, which are a pale pink streaked with bronze. These organs are connected to his esophagus by two trachea-like purplish-grey tubes. The kidney-shaped organs secrete a blood-streaked, sticky substance similar to intravascular and seminal fluids that gives birth to earwig-like pale brown creatures, approximately the length of a human arm. Each creature features bronze and crimson streaks, forest green antennae, and black centipede-like legs and forceps. The trachea-like tubes are lined with resilient, mucus-coated hair follicles, providing the creatures with a moderate layer of protection against blades and enhancing their ability to adhere to hosts.
These creatures serve as vectors for mental assimilation, allowing him to recruit individuals to General Morden’s cause. To achieve this, they inject neuroactive agents into a host's bloodstream by biting into a major vein and tightly latching onto their skin. Once established, the creatures transmit electrical signals to the brain, inducing brainwashing and instilling an unwavering sense of loyalty. This can only be reserved once the parasitic creature has been surgically removed, allowing the effects of these neuroactive agents to degrade slowly over a five-day period.
He's virtually immortal due to a biological self-resurrection process, which allows him to fully restore his psyche and physical body to optimal health. Upon death, his regenerative agents kick into overdrive, rapidly repairing minor and major wounds, replenishing energy in his blood, and revitalising his white blood cells to sustain their viability. His brain remains active, sending electrical impulses that stimulate cellular regeneration, tissue reorganisation, maintain blood circulation, reverse organ failure, and induce wakefulness. It can even correct genetic damage, reactivate dormant cellular functions through epigenetic reprogramming, reboot the immune system to eliminate pathogens and cancer cells, and restore cognitive function and memory. After each resurrection, his memories of his previous death are foggy, and his once-healed injuries leave lingering stiffness for a few days.
Hobbies: Whittling, extreme off-roading, frequenting pet shops, and hanging out with his family whenever he has the time to do so
Likes: Social justice, blowing stuff up, insulting his adversaries, and messing around with the Rebel Gigant
Dislikes: Being viewed as a simple-minded and ignorant assault captain, the Regular Army, insubordination, and orcas
Favourite food: Pompano en papillote and bread pudding with vanilla whiskey sauce
Favourite drink: Cognac
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Gender: Male
Age: 38 (in 2022), 44 (in 2028), 46 (in 2030), 48 (in 2032), 50 (in 2034), 57 (in 2041), 59 (in 2043), 60 (in 2044), and 63 (in 2047)
Blood type: B+
Weight: 254 lbs. (115 kg)
Design: He’s a 6’ 7” (200.66 cm) American mesomorph of Creole and Scottish descent with an inverted triangle build, rippling muscles, and sloping shoulders. He has honey-hued skin and striking asymmetrical eyes—amber on the right with a luxor gold pupil and mahogany on the left with a foggy white glaze. His face features subtle wrinkles, including forehead lines, frown lines, and nasolabial folds. Allen has slightly drooping pointed ears, skin that's somewhat taut against his spine, razor-sharp canines, a shaved head, and a full dark chocolate beard.
He has a tattoo on his left upper arm of a pygmy rattlesnake coiled around the base of a human skull with sparkling rubies embedded in the eye sockets. He has a few battle scars: one that starts from the centre of his right cheek to the side of his forehead, resembling a fiery comet flying upwards; three healed bullet wounds on his left deltoid; half of his left ring finger is missing; and a large, blotchy patch of scarred flesh on the right side of his abdomen.
His outfit consists of gunmetal grey wristbands, a burnt sienna armband displaying the Rebel Army insignia, and mud- and blood-stained laurel green army cargo pants tucked into spike-soled silver-white combat boots. He carries an old, cherished photograph of himself, his wife, their two children, and their two chestnut-fronted macaws securely tucked away in the right pocket of his army cargo pants. Allen wears a gold-buckled rifle green belt, complemented by a sheath for his Bowie knife and a gunmetal grey waist pack secured at the back, containing pipe bombs and a sprig of heather for good luck. He wears three black bandoliers, two forming an X-shape across his chest and one draped above his belt, holding ammunition for his M240 Bravo Machine Gun. He wears a burgundy cord necklace, showcasing a shark tooth as its centrepiece. The shark tooth is flanked by two canine teeth with three circular blue garnet beads positioned between each canine tooth.
During the Survival Island Occupation, he temporarily wore the same outfit that commanding officers wear in the Regular Army. He also donned a chin-length reddish-blonde wig with blunt cut bangs and soft waves.
He owns a personal Di-Cokka, twice the size of the original, its greenish-brown coat bearing battle scars—dented and scratched from a few bullet impacts. Besides transportation, he also uses it for storage, keeping portable ammo boxes and two extra weapons on hand: a M202 FLASH and a Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Super Devil form: He’s a 21’ 3” (647.7 cm) humanoid with an exaggerated musculature and smooth, rock hard rifle green skin. His head, marked by a pronounced underbite, has a canine-like appearance, with the skin tightly stretched over his skull. A wet gunmetal grey nose, reminiscent of a bear's, protrudes prominently, while his beard has grown into an unruly goatee that cascades down to the centre of his chest. He has twitching muscles, gleaming greenish-brown claws and talons, and six arms covered in decaying flesh and bulging veins, each ending in heavily scarred hands with only three fingers. He has the same eyes, ears, razor-sharp canines, and scars as the original, but his armpits and back are covered in coarse dark chocolate hair.
Two rows of stalagmite-like gilt-brass spikes run along his back, while two lengthy, glistening tentacles—each spanning the height of two adult males—protrude from the back of his deltoids. These tentacles boast a crimson hue and are adorned with mucus-coated laurel green feelers on their underside. Allen’s tail resembles that of a pygmy rattlesnake, while his waist is encircled by a bronze intestinal cord that passes through the bored temples of fifteen yellow-stained, shark-toothed human skulls. Each skull features either ruby or blue garnet eyes, arranged in an alternating pattern. His legs are feathered in a plumage that transitions from reddish-brown to burnt sienna, culminating in powerful silver-white ostrich feet.
Character summary: Allen is a proud and charismatic leader, renowned for his persistence in battle and unshakeable loyalty to those he holds dear, including his family, closest comrades, and General Morden. He passionately advocates against political corruption and systemic injustices, fearlessly standing up for what's right and recognizing it as his social responsibility to create a better world. He’s capable of compassion, but only extends his support, kindness, and sympathy to those he considers trustworthy friends and admires for their bravery and integrity. He can be somewhat forgetful, particularly when recalling complex instructions or distinguishing between appropriate and inappropriate times to use bladed weapons, such as when preparing food.
He derives great satisfaction from catching his foes off guard or disrupting their plans, gaining a strategic upper hand on the battlefield. He's ruthless and pragmatic, revelling in the suffering he inflicts on those who work for corrupt organisations and/or oppose General Morden. He relishes battling his enemies, particularly his arch-rivals, the Peregrine Falcons Squad and the S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. His passion for frontline combat is why he chooses to remain a Sergeant, the highest rank that allows him to engage in daily battles. He displays subtle admiration for individuals who demonstrate impressive tactical expertise and skillful combat abilities.
He often rushes into battle with reckless abandon, yet occasionally takes a more measured and calculated approach. He frequently taunts his enemies, using psychological warfare to erode their resolve and sow seeds of self-doubt. He skillfully cultivates loyalty among Morden's followers by subtly undermining their critical thinking and independence, making them receptive to indoctrination. Through this manipulation, Allen implants new thoughts, reshapes attitudes, and alters values and beliefs to align with Morden's ideology. Occasionally, he spares new recruits from brainwashing if he detects genuine sympathy for Morden's cause or notices that they don't see the point in questioning the ideology and practices of the Rebel Army.
He strongly dislikes it when people underestimate his intelligence and make jokes about him having "stupid genes". When mocked for his lack of sophistication, he's quick to retaliate, scolding those who underestimate him, and will even resort to violence or intimidation if he feels provoked. Despite being a belligerent and ignorant individual, he can be surprisingly calm and composed during the heat of battle or when he isn't on the battlefield. He never fears his enemies due to a fear of being seen as a coward, but he will show prudent caution if there's a genuine reason to be concerned. He has always had a fondness for winter and working in snowy conditions, drawn to the cleanness of fresh snow and the challenge of battling through bitter cold, which he sees as a worthy obstacle to overcome during intense combat.
His phenomenal physicality and combat skills are matched only by the size of his ego. He frequently belittles those he doesn’t trust and makes crass, demoralising, and dehumanising remarks about his adversaries. While Allen’s superiority complex often gets the better of him, he’s a seasoned soldier who can endure more physical and mental punishment than his weaker comrades. However, he doesn’t view himself as superior to his family, close friends, most trusted comrades, General Morden, and the law. Besides his strength, stubbornness, and gusty courage, the only thing that keeps him alive is his devotion and unrelenting will to return home to his loving wife, Henrietta, and their children, Nancy and Allen Jr.
He deeply loves Henrietta and cherishes every moment with her, yet he can't help but find her intimidating due to her stern demeanour and piercing gaze. He loves Allen Jr. deeply, but their relationship is strained by his son's blunt criticism of his shortcomings and, more painfully, his alliance with the Rebel Army's sworn enemy. He recognizes that Allen Jr. views his actions as morally misguided, driven by an unwavering loyalty to General Morden. Additionally, he's aware that his son is troubled by his own superiority complex and impulsive decisions on the battlefield, which have repeatedly put his life at risk and led to past fatalities. Nevertheless, he does his best to support his son's military career and love life, while also respecting his capabilities as a fighter. He does notice that Allen Jr. doesn’t listen to him at times, which frustrates him. However, he chooses not to verbally address the issue, fearing it may further strain their already estranged relationship.
He shares a cordial relationship with General Morden, often bonding over drinks and swapping stories, especially after missions. Beneath Morden's tough exterior, he recognizes his struggles with alcoholism and the emotional toll of losing his family, and genuinely empathises with him. He looks up to him as a great leader due to his caring and respectful nature towards his soldiers, exceptional intelligence, and strong sense of justice. He vows to protect him at all costs, support the growth of his military strength, and ensure the success of his plans.
He harbours intense disdain for Abul Abbas, regarding him as a moronic nuisance and a poor excuse of a commanding officer. He shares the view of many Rebel soldiers and commanders that Abul is intolerable and unfit to serve their cause. Allen often mocks Abul's peculiar sense of smell, jokingly referring to it as "horny cognition" to annoy him. Despite Abul's incompetence, Allen O'Neil is genuinely surprised that he has managed to befriend General Morden, Sagan, and Logan. However, he refrains from complaining, deeming it pointless to waste his breath on someone he strongly hates.
He’s a good friend of Sagan, admiring her independence, resilience, and exceptional leadership abilities, which rival General Morden's in terms of tactical expertise and charisma. He treats her with the same respect he has for Morden, acknowledging her superior military rank and significant contributions to the Rebel Army's tactical prowess. He often goes out drinking with Sagan, assists her with her plans, helps implement her rigorous training programs for Rebel Army cadets, and playfully engages with her joking attitude.
He views Logan as somewhat infuriating and intimidating at times, yet treats him with equal respect alongside Sagan and Morden, recognizing his senior rank and crucial role in the Rebel Army's strategic planning and financial management. He admires Logan's easy-going attitude and willingness to offer him valuable advice on navigating more difficult tactical situations.
Backstory: Alister Titus O’Neil Sr. was born on November 17, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. He doesn’t remember his parents very well, as he didn’t spend much time with them, but he can recall his father being an Scottish-American chef and his Creole mother working as a construction worker. His parents instilled in him the importance of loyalty to loved ones and friends as well as the confidence to embrace his unique capabilities without shame. Tragically, at just 7 years old, his world was shattered when his mother was killed during a devastating robbery at a local convenience store. The loss proved too much for his father, who abandoned him, leaving him alone and frightened in a neighbourhood plagued by crime and bad influences.
Luckily for him, he was taken in by his uncle who, despite struggling with a fentanyl addiction and deep-seated feelings about systemic injustices, selflessly took him in. His uncle went above and beyond to raise him like the son he never had, teaching him essential school subjects and instilling in him a strong sense of social responsibility and courage to stand up against injustices. After his uncle's tragic death from a fentanyl overdose when Allen was just 13, he faced a harsh new reality and this pivotal event awakened his esper abilities. With no support system, he turned to a local gang for protection and began carrying blades for self-defence. As he gained more experience on the streets and honed his fighting skills, he gradually moved to firearms, progressively handling smaller weapons before moving on to larger ones. Following his revelation dream at 15, he dedicated himself to mastering his esper abilities.
At 16, Allen faced legal consequences for aggravated assault and burglary, leading to time in a juvenile detention centre. The Regular Army, recognizing his esper status, quickly intervened and offered guidance, aiming to mould him into a skilled soldier. The Regular Army offered him a stable home in a secure area of Scotland, aiming to provide a safer environment that would steer him away from a life of crime. With their therapeutic and parental support, he made a decision to turn his life around. Allen volunteered for social justice initiatives and animal welfare organisations to improve himself and give back to the community.
At 19, while working at an animal shelter, he met his future wife, Henrietta. A brief conversation about their future aspirations sparked a romance between them. As they went on multiple dates, their connection grew stronger. A year later, Allen proposed, and to his delight, she accepted. Soon after getting married, they welcomed their son, Allen Jr. Upon discovering a recruitment poster for the Regular Army, he felt a surge of purpose and a strong desire to fight for justice. This newfound passion prompted him to quit his old job and enlist in the Regular Army as a peacekeeping troop at the age of 22. After serving five years, he transitioned to the Marine Corps. Two days before his 30th birthday, he and Henrietta celebrated the birth of their daughter, Nancy. Their family grew again four years later with the adoption of two chestnut-fronted macaws, Shirley and Kingsley.
Allen's life took a dramatic turn when Donald Morden rescued him from a near-fatal confrontation with a notorious gang of terrorists and high-risk criminals, who had collaborated with pirates, in a volatile region of South Africa. Grateful for Morden's heroism, he offered his support and loyalty, forming a strong bond as a trusted friend and ally. A year later, following a successful mission against a dangerous criminal organisation bent on destabilising government authorities, Morden introduced Allen to Sagan and Logan. He formed strong bonds with Sagan and Logan, but their demanding schedules rarely allowed for downtime together.
He rose through the ranks to become a high-ranking peacekeeping troop in the Regular Army under Donald Morden's command, while also serving as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps. Renowned for his exceptional combat skills, toughness, and devotion to family, he was once known for his cool attitude. As Morden's most trusted soldier and the only esper under his command, he frequently received the most complex missions, which he executed with great success and enthusiasm. He always enjoyed fighting for Morden, just as he enjoyed unwinding with Henrietta, Nancy, and Allen Jr. after a tough day.
He played a crucial role in the Arms Deal Barrage, fighting as a soldier against the remnants of the Serapion Fellowship. Alongside fellow combatants, including Morden, Sagan, and Logan, he discovered the harsh reality of corruption within the Regular Army, a truth carefully concealed from the public. A small part of him yearned to defy them for their corruption, but Morden and Tequila cautioned against it, warning he'd land on their hit list. He faced off against 1st Lieutenant Wired in a fierce battle, alone and unsupported, yet he developed a hint of mutual respect for his opponent's tactical prowess and proficiency in grenades and armed combat.
After Morden defected from the Regular Army, Allen followed him out of loyalty and disappeared from public view for several years. During this period, Allen played a crucial role in building the Rebel Army's forces by brainwashing and training new recruits alongside Morden. He also contributed to the development of tactical plans with Logan and Morden and collaborated with Sagan on clandestine missions to raid weapon facilities and acquire advanced Tuatha Dé Danann technology.
When General Morden reemerged as the founding leader of the Rebel Army and launched his coup d'état, he stood by him, playing a pivotal role in the insurgency. Tasked with defending the supply warehouse at the summit of Käthehirt Valley, Allen single-handedly annihilated the troops brave enough to tackle the treacherous mountain. However, when Marco, Tarma, Tequila, Gimlet, and Red Eye ascended the mountain, they encountered Allen and were forced to engage him in battle. Gimlet and Red Eye managed to press onward, choosing to confront the Rebel Infantry instead of fighting their former comrade. After being burned alive and shot in the head for good measure, Allen was presumed dead.
Nevertheless, he would later be revived through his biological self-resurrection process and participate in the ambush on the Regular Army, Peregrine Falcons Squad, and S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. troops. Under Morden's command, he brutally tortured and executed many of Marco’s and Tarma's comrades and friends. He played a major role in Tarma's torture, verbally exploiting his emotional sensitivity and insecurities about his academic intelligence. He also carried out General Morden's order to sever Marco's left arm.
Allen resurfaced in a secret Rebel Army base hidden in the Siberian frozen tundra, where he once again aided Morden in his plans for global conquest, this time in alliance with the Pipovulaj. When Regular Army troops infiltrated the base, Allen attempted to eliminate them but was ultimately defeated by Marco, Eri, Tarma, and Fio. In the heat of combat, Allen unleashed a ferocious strike, brutally severing Tarma's right forearm. His lifeless body plummeted down a snowy cliff and was devoured by a giant orca. However, a nearby patrol of Pipovulaj troops recovered his newly resurrected remains after Marco's team departed to confront General Morden. This traumatic incident has left him with a lingering fear and hatred towards orcas, whom he now perceives as viewing humans solely as prey. The experience has also filled him with disgust, haunted by the memory of the orca's inner anatomy.
After the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, Allen, Sagan, Logan, and some Rebel Infantrymen and cadets, along with a few Morden sympathisers, hatched a plan for a revenge attack on the South Pacific training island owned by the Peregrine Falcons Squad. Their aim was to install and house the earthquake-causing weapon, the Cabracan, which was jointly built by the Rebel Army, Pipovulaj, and Amadeus Syndicate, in their new base of operations. This was necessary as their previous bases had been raided.
To achieve this, Allen and Sagan disguised themselves as drill instructors and led a group of Regular Army and Peregrine Falcons Squad cadets to a remote island in the South Pacific. Unbeknownst to the cadets, Allen had secretly brainwashed them, implanting a false sense of security and focusing their minds solely on training. Their sinister intention was to use the cadets and any Intelligence Agency agents on the island as hostages and test subjects for the experimental simian and mantis transformation serums developed by Doctor Amadeus.
Once Division 6 and the uncaptured cadets infiltrated the main base, he and his platoon of land troops would engage in a fierce clash with Allen Jr., Walter, and Dilovar. He would discover that his son had joined the archenemy of the Rebel Army, a revelation that had been previously kept secret from him. He felt a deep sense of betrayal, but he knew it would be rash to turn on his son simply because of their differing allegiances. With a heavy heart, he accepted the fact that Allen Jr. had chosen to serve the Regular Army, and it seemed unlikely that he would ever switch sides. Before he could retreat with his surviving soldiers, Walter and Dilovar took his life in a furious act of retribution for their fallen comrades. Fortunately, Sagan was able to recover his body, which was undergoing a biological self-resurrection process.

Forever Banished In The Shadows
A little drabble for my cutie patootie, Jonathan ❤️ (okay as I post this, this is wayyy longer than I expected lol)
Warning(s): mentions of blood and gore, emotional distress, Dio Brando, references to cannibalism, jojo being driven to insanity in general
Tumblr media
He should've been stronger.
He should've been wiser.
Succumbing to his loss against his vampiric-turned adoptive brother, Dio, Jonathan was ready to die in a pool of his own blood and be torn apart by his vampire brethren he would have welcomed the pain if it meant getting rid of his agony and tormenting his foes until they were all gone from his life. If anything, the battle between them made him fight harder so he wouldn't have to look at his brother's twisted face. Dio's eyes held no pity for Jonathan. Instead, they were filled with satisfaction and disgust.
Although, Dio took pity on the man. How rare. To see the man he's been dedicated to take down and overthrown, now in front of him bleeding out and the life in his eyes slowly fading away, even if Jonathan looked like such an arrogant cockroach that Dio wouldn't hesitate to crush him. He almost felt bad about it. Almost. After all, his brother has never cared for people outside of himself and what he could do for himself.
As if his life was beginning to flash before his eyes, Dio rammed the stone mask onto Jonathan's face as the blue haired male felt the familiar cold metal touching his skin, and piercing through his skull making it impossible for him to remove, or escape.
That was the moment where the heroine, Jonathan Joestar, died.
It had been months since that incident. The blue haired man is now a slave to his brother, Dio. The horrific moments he'd seen of the abuse of the stone mask being used onto others, seeing them become mindless victims and monsters without a will of their own. Doing awful deeds to the innocent and causing havoc in the town.
The way he'd see his brother suck the blood of women. Seeing their half naked bodies with dark, gaping bloody holes in their necks as they laid on the floor dead, or even throwing them and having those mutated animals feast on them as if they were nothing but prey waiting for their master to be done with them.
Jonathan felt trapped. Well, he is.
He could no longer eat human food, the need for hunger is no longer there and being surrounded by those with such a rich scent of blood made the man want to drink it right from their veins and devour them all. His body craved the sweet taste of blood. Even when JoJo doesn't drink any, he finds himself wanting more of it. And when he doesn't get enough, he wants to kill them all. It felt like suicide. Destroying his body so others won't have to suffer his uncontrollable wrath.
That was until Dio got tired of him. He found no use of keeping a man who wasn't useful. So, he threw the poor soul into the streets, just to make sure that JoJo could not do anything anymore.
Jonathan had to fend for himself. Finding shelter was a living hell. He had to resort into cannibalism to survive. He didn't want to, he didn't know how or why, but every day he woke up in the middle of the night craving some fresh blood from strangers, Jonathan would immediately devour the person in one sitting. As soon as he finished the last drop, he would vomit his guts out.
It felt wrong. JoJo was frightened of himself.
Now, here he is, salivating heavily in front of a broken mirror as JoJo's body shivers, feeling the need to feed again, the urge that was becoming stronger and stronger each time. The thirst that Jonathan couldn't ignore. If he wanted to get enough blood to live a decent life, he had to find a way. But, how?
How did he survive before? There's no point in asking himself that question since he already knew.
By the door, his lover can only watch as they sob silently, the tears streaming freely down their face and didn't say anything, they only watched Jonathan struggle to keep himself together knowing how hard it is for him and that it's killing JoJo inside. They knew that he was doing this for a reason. To keep himself safe, to keep both of you safe watching the man cough up blood.
Jonathan promised himself he wouldn't become a blood thirsty freak like Dio or his men, but at what point can he restrain himself any longer? When will he stop fighting against nature? When will he finally succumb and give in to its call?
The answer, Jonathan knew, was very soon.
It had started with his lover.

06.03 (some) types of fae
Spirits + Fae
Tumblr media
Sourced at https://www.thepeculiarbrunette.com/types-of-fae/ and https://www.tumblr.com/triciamfoster/708146303620808704/just-a-few
According to most Fae legends, there are two types of Fae: Trooping faeries and Solitary faeries.
Trooping faeries
Trooping faeries usually travel in large groups and are recognized for dancing, partying, and throwing exciting festivities and fairs. Most of the legends about Trooping faeries describe them as fun-loving and always looking for lighthearted entertainment.
Solitary faeries
Some faeries exist entirely on their own and are referred to as Solitary faeries. Many stories of lone faeries portray them as quickly vanishing around boulders or appearing to evaporate into thin air. Solitary Fae are often less interested in human affairs.
Solitary Fae are often seen less frequently and are believed to be keepers of wisdom and knowledge. They live in caverns, pits, marshes, and ditches and are mostly hidden.
Banshee
A Banshee is a solitary Fae known as Bean Sìdhe or Ban Sith in Irish and Celtic folklore and represents an omen of death. They live on the moors.
These types of fae are often referred to as a “woman of the fairies” of would wail, scream, and cry outside the home of someone who was about to die.
They can appear in many forms, but these forms are always female. She runs a comb through her long, silvery hair when she cries.
It was thought that only households of pure Irish ancestry could be warned by banshees.
Later legends transformed the Banshee into a kind of wraith or ghost, frequently connected to a specific household or family, whose petrifying scream foretold the approaching death of loved ones.
Boggarts
A Boggart is a shapeshifting spirit or creature from English folklore that inhabits both moors and marshes and is sometimes called a Boggard or Bag.
These types of fae can appear in a variety of forms and act like a demon or poltergeist. Boggarts who manifest as people are typically more violent than those who manifest as animals.
Boggarts tend to be more malevolent by destroying household items if not rewarded or mistreated, whereas Brownies tend to be more friendly.
Brownie
In English and Scottish mythology, these types of fae are often known as household Fae. A Brownie is often portrayed as being short and small with big eyes and pointy ears. They are about one meter tall.
Brownies are hardworking and are believed to live in homes or barns. They mostly help with outdoor tasks. They’re seldom seen but are frequently heard scrubbing, cooking, and doing household chores late at night.
Brownies bring good luck. They enjoy tody, cozy homes. They are generally very shy, and love animals. They love people.
Brownies don’t clean homes for free, they expect to be rewarded with food and drink, like cream or freshly baked bread or cake. If a Brownie’s hard work was left unrewarded, you may find broken items or milk that has soured in your home.
Do not present a Brownie with an offering of clothes, because this would be seen as a great insult to them and they’d most likely leave your home forever. If offended, they may even turn into a Boggart.
Devas
Devas originate in Persia and Greece. They appear as bright orbs of light, like fireflies. They often live in the woods or in densely wooded areas.
They are known to guide people in plant identification, especially for medicinal uses. They are very similar to Will o’ the Wisps, which live on the water.
Dryads
Dryads are wood nymphs and tree spirits who live in trees. They do not stray far from the individual tree that they protect. Their names come from the Greek word Drys, meaning oak.
Dryads are known for fiercely guarding trees and you’ll often find them chatting to the trees they protect. These types of fae believe it’s their duty to punish anyone who commits crimes against Nature and their wrath is not something you want to encounter. However, they look favorably on people who care for their tree.
It’s often said if the tree a Dryad is protecting dies, so would the Dryad.
Trees that have a Dryad will have a "face" on it. You can communicate with the Dryad by touching their tree.
Dryads are shy until they trust you, and then they are very sweet and kind.
Gnomes
In European folklore, Gnomes are earth spirits who live beneath the ground. These types of Fae resemble dwarfs and are often seen wearing clothes similar to a Monk’s habit. They fiercely protect all types of treasure, quarries, and mines, and are strongly connected to the earth element.
They originate in Scotland. They live in woodsy areas and stay among the tree roots.
Gnomes mature very quickly and appear very old. They are extremely connected to nature. They enjoy fruits, nuts, vegetables (especially root vegetables), eggs, and mushrooms.
They are very shy and cautious and avoid humans.
Kelpies
Kelpies are believed to be "scary, ugly" creatures that are thought to be cannibalistic and carnivorous. They are said to eat deer off the shoreline, as well as other types of fairies and even humans.
Male Kelpies are thought to be shapeshifters to lure young women into the water and either trap them or consume them.
Kelpies are often seen in the form of a horse. Some believe legendary monsters, such as the Loch Ness monster, to be Kelpies.
Leprechaun
Leprechauns are solitary Fae and short, bearded men who wear a suit and tie and often make their homes in old churches or castles. These types of Fae love music and are talented musicians often playing a fiddle, pipe, or harp. They are mainly found in Ireland.
A leprechaun is often described as dressed entirely in green, although sometimes he wears a red coat, brown pants, and a tall hat.
It’s said that Leprechauns are always mending the shoes of Trooping Faeries because they’re often worn out from so much dancing and traveling. He typically wears a leather apron and seems to be fixing a shoe with his small hammer and pounding away. It is this tapping that indicates his proximity, but people should avoid approaching.
Leprechauns are often cunning, self-centered, vengeful, and love isolation. They are just as likely to play a nasty trick on an unsuspecting human as they are to provide help or kindness. However, they are also very honest.
Sometimes called a Fairy Banker, Leprechauns have rights to massive amounts of wealth and gold that he does not part with easily. He guards his wealth zealously, does not keep it near his home, and it’s thought he uses a rainbow to indicate its location. Hence the belief you can follow a rainbow to the pot of gold.
Merfolk
Mermaids are water spirits, and in Irish folklore, they’re known as Merrows. Mermaids are depicted as half-human, half-fish creatures and have been around for centuries in folklore and legends. Mermaids love music, and you’ll often hear them singing.
These water spirits have been linked to sorrow and destruction in modern and ancient folklore, while they can also be compassionate. They have provided the wisdom of natural remedies for deadly illnesses, lavish gifts, and storm advisories when rescued or saved. They may also lure sailors to doom and death by guiding them to rocks and causing their ships to wreck.
They can appear as both male or female. They are migratory creatures, and usually live in family groups. They are very protective of these families.
Merfolk are generally shy around humans, but they will occasionally reach out to humans to try to stop the further pollution of the oceans and seas.
Nymphs
Nymphs originate in Greece and are closely tied to nature.
They have a reputation for being hypersexual and are often confused with pixies.
They are generally seen as beautiful females. Unlike sirens, they are relatively harmless.
There are many subclasses, such as Tree Nymphs, Water Nymphs, Wood Nymphs, and Mountain Nymphs.
Pixies
Pixies are a type of trooping faery fond of the areas near Devon and Cornwall in England. Pixies have a mischievous personality that often deals with pranks and trickery.
They are about 10cm tall, and are winged, human-like creatures. They move extremely fast.
Provide shaded spots with lots of trees and flowers for pixies if you’d like to attract them to your garden. Pixies value both protection and Nature and love homemade fairy houses! They live in gardens and woods.
Pixies love to "borrow" things, and absolutely love offerings of nectar and honey. They also love shiny things and houses.
Any wanderer who comes across them could be forced to dance, lose track of time, and might be pulled into the fairy Otherworld and never seen again.
Pùca
Pùca, sometimes spelled Pooka, is a Celtic spirit and shape-shifter that can take various forms, including horses, rabbits, goats, and humans. It’s also known as Puck in English Folklore, is sometimes believed to use the light of Will o’ the Wisp to lure people into swamps or ditches and then flee with delight.
Depending on circumstances, Pooka may be helpful to humanity, but more often than not, its pranks are damaging and hurtful. It has been said that seeing a Pooka in some form is an omen of imminent death.
Selkies
Selkies are water spirits that have the ability to change from a seal into a human being. They take the form of grey seals or great seals while they're in the sea.
They tend to occupy the seas near Ireland and Scotland, and they usually come out on seasonal days.
Occasionally, they will mate with human men. It's said that a man can wed a Selkie if he finds her seal skin on the beach and hides it from her, but she will return to the sea once she finds it.
Trolls
Trolls originate in Nordic countries. They live in isolated areas of rocks, mountains, or caves, far away from humans.
They live together in small family units and are rarely helpful to humans. They are considered to be dangerous, as they are aggressive if approached.
They are believed to turn to stone in sunlight. Their appearance is disputed and can be very human-like.
Trows
Land Trows
Land Trows often wear gray clothing and live in caves, stone circles, or earth mounds. They’re excellent metalworkers and healers who will bestow good fortune on any human household they favor. Their homes are said to be full of gems, precious stones, and a lot of gold!
A subcategory of Land Trows is known as Peerie Trows. They are tiny fae trows who live beneath toadstools and love to sing and dance in the moonlight.
Will o’ the Wisp
Will o’ the Wisp, sometimes known as Jack-o’-lantern, is a type of Fae pixie believed to inhabit the marshes and bogs of England. Will O’ Wisps are nature spirits that inhabit the elements of the earth.
Travelers at night describe the Will o’ the Wisp as ghost-like blue flames, with an unwavering glow, that float a few feet above the ground.
Will o’ the Wisps have a variety of folklore associated with them and some say they’re flames created by Fae, lights carried by Elves, unbaptized children, or souls who evaded purgatory.
They’re sometimes claimed to give you the power of divination and prophecy, but mostly they’re believed to be mischievous creatures.

Code of Hammurabi
Tumblr media

The Code of Hammurabi was written between 1755-1850 BCE in Akkadian and inscribed on a basalt stele, or stone pillar, that is 2.25m (7' 4.5") tall. It was rediscovered in 1901 in Susa, Iran, was taken as plunder, and now is in the Louvre Museum in Paris France. It is the longest, most organized, and best preserved legal code of the ancient Near East. It is not the oldest, though. That title goes to the Code of Ur-Nammu, which was written around 2100-2050 BCE and was still being copied when Hammurabi's code was written. There did seem to be a change in focus, though, from compensation in the Code of Ur-Nammu to punishment in the Code of Hammurabi.

The top of the stele has an image of Hammurabi and Shamash, the Babylonian god of the sun and justice, on it. The figure on the left is standing, facing the other with one hand raised and the other held across the waist with fabric draped over his arm. The other is seated, wearing a multilayered skirt, holding a rod and ring in one hand, seemingly offering or accepting it, with what might be the back of the chair or rays coming from behind his shoulders. Whether the standing figure is Hammurabi or Shamash is up for debate. The Rod and ring are thought to be measuring tools or emblems of kingship.

In total, there are 4130 lines of text on the stele. The first 300 go through Hammurabi's royal authority based on his family line and being chosen by Marduk, the patron deity of Babylon, and other gods conferred on him. He then enumerates his many qualities as king, including being 'pious' repeatedly. The last lines of the introduction state that the the writing of the Code was to fulfill Marduk's request to 'establish "truth and justice"…for the people'.
The next 3330 lines enumerate the laws of the Code. These lines cover approximately 282 laws covering a wide range of topics from offenses against the law such as leveling false charges through to property law, trade law to family law, as well as labor laws. It isn't, however, a complete codex of the laws of the land as it misses laws relating to shepherds though it covers laws relating to cattle herders. The laws are also written in an 'if…then…' format, lacking any generalized laws as well as covering some extremely unlikely events, like using goats (very unruly animals) to thresh grain. It also apparently wasn't used very much by judges at the time based on the fact that no legal documentation that we have references it. The closest is two references to 'a stele', but many judgments cite royal decrees, and many judgments run counter to the Code.
Some think that the Code isn't an actual list of laws, but an example of how judgments should be formulated, that it was meant to be a work of scholarship. Supporting this is that the laws come in pairs, such as one that says a physician should be paid if they perform a service that heals while they should be punished if the treatment causes death or blindness. Laws also differed based on the offender and the victim. There were three levels of people listed, awīlum, muškēnum, and wardum (male)/amtum (female). Wardum and amtum are the slave class. The other two are uncertain, but most likely 'gentleman' and 'commoner' respectively. There were also nuances within the classes themselves, based on laws that reference one being higher than another.
The final 500 lines reiterate that Hammurabi established the law, that the law should be read aloud to anyone who wrongheadedly brings a lawsuit, and a wish for good fortune on those that follow the laws and the wrath of the gods on those who ignore it. Twelve gods are invoked to punish those who don't acknowledge or adhere to the Code.

I’m worried about asking specific questions but I generally really want to know more about Anon if you’re open to sharing… she’s so cool. even if it’s just little fun facts
not related to the ask but I do not trust Elysian at all. there is something malicious brewing in that man (half-joke)
No worries at all! I love these types of questions and I hope you don't mind that it's mostly just text and no new art
Let's start with the basic facts about her! ↓
Anon is the Ultimate Vocalist. She is half Japanese aaand half something else I haven't decided on that yet 👽 but she's basically mixed.
Fun fact! Anon is her stage name. It can be interpreted as a English or Japanese name. Anon meaning anonymous or Anon meaning ↓
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her main color scheme revolves around the color red hence the name👽 Also cause her sin is Wrath. And when people think of wrath I'd assume the first color they think of is red
Searching for Japanese names for her I saw "Anon" And thought how cool and perfect it is for a performer like her
I don't plan on giving Anon's real name (cause I don't even have one for her) because I don't really find it necessary to add in the story.
Another fun fact!!!! She's super super duuuper inspired by Ado (heh.... The names... Starting with A.... And she's also a Japanese singer.......,) . In the sense that, her vocals are so unique and varied in her songs that represent such emotion which in my mind makes sense for someone of that skill to be an Ultimate.
I want to give Anon a really rough vibe. Even if she looks like she can like break a car in half, as the Ultimate Vocalist she can definitely sing softly. Though I don't plan on making her the "buff but soft on the inside!! " character but she won't just be "ouu me angry all tha time grrrr!! " cause that would just be boring so I'm tryna find
A balance????
Think of her as a rebel of some kind. Her voice is strong and she screams her heart out. While she appreciates her fans for making her come this far, her songs are personal. She doesn't sing for them but for herself. She didn't exactly plan for the world to put the spot light on her but here we are
Anyway fun fact she's got lion references in her design, well at least if you look at her silhouette. I tried to use her hair and her fur on her jacket to look like a lion's mane. I know that the big ol lion mane is for males but iiiiii don't really care
If I had a nickel for every time a DR: Mira character had an animal that is mainly represented as it's male version then I'd have two which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
So that's all the fun facts I can think of right now👴
Elysian mentioned made me giggle, didn't expect to see his name but it's nice to see people forming opinions on my characters!!!! I'm happy about that
Thank you for the ask!

JOKER[ジョーカー] It's funny I know in my head taht there's an association with the Joker card in a playing card deck and the grim reaper, but I'm not actually sure where from? It might be a Japanese specific thing? It feels silly but my frame of references is like 90s comedy anime where normal school kids play something like old maid and the joker card, i.e. the old maid, has a menacing grim reaper figure on it... I know there's some loose association of the Joker with The Fool in tarot, so then is the Joker as grimreaper supposed to evoke The Death card? No idea... In any case, past the original appearance, the Joker monsters actually ditch their clown mask entirely and assume an almost exclusively death/skeletons motif in their fusions instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are all nice and straight forward
HELL HEART[ヘルハート]
FLARE DEATH[フレアデス]
TOMBSTONE[ツームストーン]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BLUE TERROR[ブルーテラー]
SUICIDER[スイシーダ] Maybe obscured by the fact that Suicider isn't a word, but I feel like this isn't how Japanese would phoneticize that? Like it's not generally how they write SUICIDE[スーサイド]/[スイサイド]. The design doesn't help clarify any details as to a theme...
SPLATTER[スプラッター] like the horror subgenre
Tumblr media
Monster Rancher 3's only Joker subtyle is a Joker/???
MAGII[マギー] Clearly the theme is playing cards and sort of implicitly closeup magic, like the stage magician card tricks type, so just MAGI with a held KI syllable?
Tumblr media
Then of course we get the big mess of GBA game Jokers...
RUNASOSU[ルナソス] weirdly i dont' know what this is about. it's a mew subtype??? So the the first half seeming to be "LUNA" feels coincidental?
JUGGLER[ジャグラー]
SCISSOR MAN[シザーマン]
MASCARER[マスカラー] it's just MASCARA with a sustained A syllable at the end
CROCUS[クロッカス] like the flower? CLOCKERS? But ti's a Ducken subtype, and I dunno what either of those have to do with Ducken's usual toy theme...
GRASS KEEPER[グラスキーパー]
Tumblr media
GLITTER[グリッター]
DEMON MARINER[デモンマリナー]
ASTRAL[アストラル]
CRAVE DIVA[クレイブディバー] weird one... At a glance my brain tried to fill in the blanks and assumed it was supposed to be GRAVE DIGGER[グレイブディガー]
ERIGORI[エリゴリ] No idea what this is about... I mistook it at a glance for the Egregori of gnostiicism as appropriated from apocryphal biblical lore. But then I realized the syllables aren't right, so again, no idea...
SEABISHOP[シービショップ] a type of old european cryptid used in a lot of JRPGs for some reason. Old accounts seem to be a kind of decayed skate or ray mistaken for a humanoid, kind of like a Jenny Haniver, with their pointed heads compared to a bishop's hat
Tumblr media
SOUL REAPER[ソウルリーパー]
UNDERTAKER[アンダーテイカー]
GESPENST[ゲシュペンスト] German word for a ghost
SKULL GOLD[スカルゴールド]
Tumblr media
DARK PREDATOR[ダークプレデター]
HELL LORD[ヘルロード]
ENMA[エンマ] Chinese King/Judge of the dead. Despite common misconceptions comparing him to the devil --often because of the incidental monstrous qualities he has as a wrathful deity who metes out condemnation-- he's not a god of the underworld itself, he's the judge presiding over who goes to the underworld or not.
MEPHISTO[メフィスト] from Mephistopheles, the devil from the story of Faust, and the other half of the famous literary trope, "Faustian Bargain."
NECROMANCER[ネクロマンサー]
REQUIEM[レクイエム]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
GARTH[ガース] GIRTH? I don't get how this can be read in any way that makes sense with the design
TOORYOO[トーリョー] a term for a head carpenter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
VIRTUE[ヴァーチャー]
BERETTA[ベレッタ] Given ther ed hood design I thought ti was a reference to B.B.Hood in Dark Stalkers, but her name is actually written BARETTA[バレッタ]
YOGARASU[ヨガラス] from yogarasu[夜烏]:"night crow"
SOUL EATER[ソウルイーター] the name is straight forward but I can't seem to find any images of this thing...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally the new additions from the LINE Monster Farm mobielgame,
RA[ラー] named after Ra the Egyptian sun god.
SAKURA CHIRU[サクラチル] from sakurachiru[桜散る]: "to fall(cherry blossoms)," but also a slang term for "to fail(an exam)"
