Hello! Gin here. I want to apologise for being away and not positing art. My health is very bad and my mental state is not the greatest.

I'm doing my best though! I'll be here reposting sometimes and replying etc.

Sorry to anyone who sent in asks and I didn't reply, I am not ignoring you or anyone, I'm just taking my time and I will answer once I can!

you are so nice ok, the space I have to work with has really horrible lighting, so I totally get you!

I would check the comments on this post by @bluedove216 for actual lighting tips(hope you don’t mind the @ dove-)

I haven’t tried most of what they suggested but I HAVE tried the CamScanner app :D you can use it for free and it’s pretty easy/ helpful! It’s meant for scanning documents tehe

I don’t use it a whole lot, especially with drawings that have a lot of color, but it’s helpful when i have horrid lighting, or use it for sketches!!!

also, don’t be afraid to toggle your photo settings if you can’t get good lighting~ >:0

i most frequently adjust brightness and black point- especially for when your camera isn’t picking up on pencil lines and such, it’s a helpful way to make your photos represent irl better.

ANYWAYS YEAH I’m real inconsistent and unconventional about it 🫠let yourself experiment, check out their suggestions and try some, they get their photos looking SO CLEAN >:)
