I spent 5 hours with a hobby knife and have sustained 0 injuries. I'm getting a good grade in hand eye coordination and respect for sharp objects

the important thing to remember is that i did in fact get my eyes checked out and i do have an updated prescription written for new glasses.

somehow i'm going to eventually get myself to pick out and purchase new glasses but i think the fact that my lenses without bells, whistles or insurance would be nearly $400 on their own is actually a crime and i feel like i should be allowed to have as many pairs of glasses in my prescription as i want for completely free actually.

i *need* those. to SEE.

#do i have insurance coverage? THEORETICALLY #what does it cover? NOT ENOUGH FOR IT TO BE FREE #i think it's a 20% copay but like... even with that the lenses are the part that are expensive for me #and EVERYWHERE has frames that are like. starting at $100 and i'm just like #are we being so for real right now?#are you shitting me?? is this real fucking life?#oh and fun fact #the sites that have the cheaper glasses options? NOT FOR ME THEY DON'T DO LENSES STRONG ENOUGH #am i really really angry about this because it's causing me to roadblock myself in getting new glasses and the last hot glue fix is startin #to fail? After I saved my headphones from the peeling plastic issue I got obsessed with the idea of doing the same with a backpack that technically belongs to my mother but I'm using every day now so it's basically mine

#it's this disgusting fake leather plastic that is very quickly crumbling #it's disgusting and it's making a mess on my clothes but the backpack is good and it would be a waste to throw it away #it would take an eternity to crochet a whole cover and I'm not sure if i can sew it everywhere? so i might need to use glue which i hate #but it would become pretty and stay good for so many years #it's an immense amount of work tho I don't know how long it'll take me once i start #when i can afford all the cotton required I'll start i guess
