So I saw a few posts describing how the Pit’s in Jason’s body kinda acted on its own accord when spotting Danny “baby ghost” Phantom/Fenton and how they then co-parent with a half dead “baby” teenager.

But I raise YOU the idea that the Pits is already parenting Jason Todd.

When the Pits take over it’s the simple response of a Mama Bear going feral on some humans for making their little baby upset.

Jason disappointed by Batman?

The Pits snarl and rage at the man that made baby sad!

Jason disgusted at the idea of another Robin lined up for death?

The Pits howl and claw through the skin to fix the situation by beating the humans up so they can’t die!

Jason vulnerable and lost by the lack of acceptance in his return as Red Hood?

The Pits screech, biting furiously into the humans that had caused the baby to feel un-included in their games!

No one understands the reason for the Lazarus Pit’s in Jason’s body to constantly be acting up, that is until Danny comes into the picture and is like, “So your ghost parent is always watching you too, huh?” In reference to his own ghost parent (Clockwork) that likes to watch through his little tv’s on what Danny gets up to and sends a multitude of sticky notes like a distant helicopter mom.

I think one of the easiest ways for me to mistrust a book and all it’s saying is to see how wrong it gets history about Jews.

This came about because I’m reading a book on indigenous activism and theory and it’s really good!

Too bad I can’t trust anything about it because I’m their little “history of colonialism” section they went “the three largest religions of the world-Christianity, Islam, and Judaism (collectively called the Abrahamic religions”.

Bestie. Jews are .2% of the global population. If you’d done a basic google search it would’ve told you the largest religious groups are Christianity, Islam, irreligion, Hinduism, and Buddhism, each of which have over 5% of the global population as adherents. It takes about five seconds to check that and see if you’re being accurate.

If your book is trying to be a reputable source of information and you can’t even put 5 seconds of effort into basic factual double-checking, you are not worthy of my trust about anything else you say.

y'know what. sometimes there is something wrong with you. and i don't mean in a "you are broken and that makes you unworthy" way, just in the "your brain/body does not work the way it's expected to and that's why things are so hard" way

like as someone who grew up constantly being told there was nothing wrong with me and i just had to try harder to clean/socialise/work, knowing i had ADHD earlier would've saved me a LOT of guilt. knowing i have IBS would've prevented a lot of pain/embarrassment from not being able to manage it yet. i wish someone had told me there was a reason i couldn't do things instead of just telling me i was fine. people reassuring me i didn't have any issues to spare me the shame of being "different" only made me feel worse about not being able to function like everyone else!!!

idk sometimes i just wish i knew there was something different about me sooner bc then i would've had an explanation and a way to get better instead of just a lot of self loathing

I just thought of something in regards to the Rulette episode of Game Changer:

I am not sure of Anna Garcia's background but given her last name, I'm guessing Latin American of some sorts. That makes 2 latines and 1 non latino as players. Potentially, 2 Spanish speakers and 1 non Spanish speaker.

When they were pointing out that Jeremy wasn't polite because he was being mean, Jeremy always replied "polite does not mean nice", which is true but to me, as a Spanish person, sounds strange. He even added "Have you ever met a British woman?", showing that this may not necessarily be the way he lives politeness, but that there are enough English speaking people who do.

Many years ago I read some research on the cultural implications of "politeness" between English speakers and Spanish speakers. In short, for Spanish speakers "polite" is a synonym for "kind" or "nice".

For English speakers it's a different thing, a requirement to enter conversation with someone, to enter their space in a way.

This is not a concept most Spanish speakers are familiar with. If you are kind, you can enter conversation with anyone. You are welcome to anyone's space as long as you are nice. This is not to say that we don't have words or sentences to show politeness (cortesía), but if you have the words but the rest of the behaviour doesn't match, we do not really perceive it as polite. We feel it manipulative.

So sure, the joke was the negotiation of rules to see who had it right, but I wonder to which point the two players that have a non-English culture were actually perceiving this "polite does not mean nice" as some kind of actual cheating on the part of Jeremy because to Spanish speakers, yes, polite does mean nice.
