YES I LOVE THAT i love. post canon viktor still not being (and never will be) human because he's so fundamentally changed and intertwined with the arcane at this point that he can't be separated from it. and man post canon of this au has gotta be wild in general. viktor had a whole ass space adventure and came back as a cyborg with fucked up gold space blood that can power cities. Jayce got possessed by an eldritch piece of magic tech but it’s ok the space blood made him better. This is just their everyday life now

I also love in general the potential of Viktor being an insanely powerful arcane being (whether still a literal arcane god or it's just a biological function like the blood) and the potential threat of that. Inadvertently he's become a very powerful and sought after resource no matter where they end up. becoming the apex of your technology you feared getting exploited + viktor struggling with concept of having control over his own body and soul again immediately having to deal with that kinda threat

kuras wouldn't sleep. he would stare at the mc while they try to sleep. probably even sneak in a book. maybe he'd like, pet the mcs hair softly or something, but he wouldn't even lay down. to sleep. because he's not going to. that, in itself, destroys the point of the trope (to wake up CUDDLING 😒) BECAUSE THIS HOE DOESNT SLEE P anD IS REPRESSED AS FUCK HOW DO WE CUDDLR IF HE's NOT LAYING DOWN unless he literally pulls the mc in his arms. the trope is failing.

the most likely scenario is that you'd wake up in the middle of the night, and there'd just be 2 yellow glowing eyes staring at you from above (directly above your face. unblinking by the way) just observing you. whats your next most rational move cause mine is panicking and getting up so fast we hit heads

Leander is obviously the most likely person to make this work in my head. he could probably convince the mc to sleep on the bed, 'yes i can keep my magic on through the night haha im a totally trustable super powerful mage unless you wanna stay up and get tired before we hit that sack wink wink nudge nudge haha kidding. unless? im obsessed with you. whaattt who said that' The trope would happen, but not really accidentally. it doesn't matter if the mcs hands are bandaged or not. they're getting magically probed. i feel like he would observe you too, especially when you're sleeping.

this doesnt even consider the fact that he sleeps like 5 hours. the mcs probably already asleep by the time he comes back from his freaky monster time, and then the mc wakes up to him doing fuckass squats in the morning like it's not 5 AM the sun isnt even out bro. some mcs would join him. mine would appreciate the view, groan, and go back to sleep.

bed troping with the others would go as you'd expect as long as the mcs bandages are on. i think mhin would be really stubborn about sleeping on the floor, and itd probably take 2 wall slams to get both of you on the bed with a pillow wall between the two of you. obviously, you wake up cuddling. Troped.

however, without the bandages it's a no go. like. complete no. what the hell, maybe both of you sleep on the floor in opposite sides of the room. just to be safe.

i don't really have a good read on what vere and ais would be like. so. skipping theirs.. feel free to add on though. i could be totally wrong. this was a simple thought but it kinda snowballed haha

Hi Grits! I've literally never watched Xiaolin Showdown in my life, but because I'm bored and curious, could you pls explain how Chase was ruined in Chronicles?

Where do I even start?

Okay, anyone who's been on my blog recently have seen me talk shit about Xiaolin Chronicles. Well tonight Im going to talk even more shit! 😁 this time about a character that ive had developed a fictoromantic interest in: Chase young. But this isnt about my selfship, this is about how this pathetic excuse of a reboot wrecked him!

So sit back and crack a cold one as I tear Lizard Breath a new one!

Chase was one of the most complicated characters in the show. He was evil, unashamedly so, but he also had a sense of honor. He was calm and calculating. You never really knew what his next move was. From his first appearance in the s2 episods "Master Monk Guan" you could tell he was going to be a formidable threat in future episodes. And formidable he was, he did NOT step off their necks after that first meeting!

Perhaps his most intriguing aspect of his character is his relationship with omi, a sort of palpatine and anakin dynamic that wasn't as creepy and pedophilic as his relationship with Shadow/Willow/whatever the fuck her name is. He saw potential in Omi and wanted to train him and even after the whole "brainwashing omi to get him on the side of evil" plan didnt go as planned they still kept an amicable relationship.

Chase is by no means a saint but he keeps his word and treats his opponents with respect. Even when training Jermaine, he had no hard feelings towards him after he quit because it was simply another part of a larger scheme. While he wasnt as bombastic as jack and wuya, he had a couple of quirks like reading Evil Housekeeping during dinner and his reactions to Jack's antics! He was essentially the Comically Serious of the show.

Then Chronicles had to screw everything up!!

In showdown, he became evil after hannibal bean exploited his desire to be the best by tricking him into drinking the Lao Mang Lone Soup. Chronicles retconned this to be Chase acting like a jealous incel because a mary sue dragon lady dumped him for his never before seen brother Eon. Seriously Eon? Where was Master Monk Guan? He was in Chase's eyes a rival and a big reason why he went bad, not because he got rejected by a girl!

Character designs in Showdown have simple and distinct silhouttes so they'll be easier to remember. Chase resembled a tough yet elegant warrior. The new design loses a lot of its elements making it too complex and boring at the same time

His lizard form was a total mess too! He rarely used his form but when he did you KNOW shit was about to hit the fan. He even managed to give Giant!Dojo a hard time! He looked like a dragon because he eats them and a lot of thought was put into making him look as badass as possible.

CHRONIC HEADACHE turned him into an overgrown iguana! He and Lute must be goin' to the same salon because what the hell is that haircut?? 😂

Dont even get me started on his CGI model that bitch is HIDEOUS. Even Beast Wars looks better and that show came out in the 90s! Also why are his spikes green shouldn't they be gold?

His personality also took a nosedive, from a Machiavellian schemer with larger designs to a generic villain who does bad things as the plot demands.

Chase rarely used shen gong wu because he had no need for then, even calling them magical toys. The only time he did use them was if he needed them for a larger goal. Chronic chase is obsessed with collecting them for no reason other than EEEEEVIL!

In Chronic's timeline Chase was always evil from the very beginning instead of having been a genuinely good person whose insecurities were preyed on by a shitstirrer vegetable. Even his voice doesnt do it for me. Usually I love David Kaye, but Chase is supposed to sound like he's in his early 20s because his entire function is around preserving his youth. By making him sound old it completely misses the whole point.

At one point, he interrupts a showdown to wager his good looks, and somehow doesnt lose them. First of all since when the did chase ever give a shit about his looks and number 2, he would never wager something so petty? He lost the showdown and didnt even lose his face? Well I guess you cant lose something you never had in the first place! 😂

Now we get to the really gross part.

SWEEEEET HOME ALABAMAH!

Now the idea of a regular sidekick and evil apprentice sounds good on paper. In the show he gets an ugly Mary Sue called Shadow that he created using his own rib in a hamfisted attempt to shove a parallel with Adam and Eve. But whereas the First Parents of The Bible were explicitly designed to be spouses by a higher power, he created shadow to be little more than a servant (and she had a baby form) which makes their power dynamic completely imbalanced! The scenes where they hit on each other and hiss flirtatiously is so out of place, like dude THAT'S YOUR KID???HELLO??? ARE YOU EVIL OR ALABAMAN?

Shadow lacks none of the entertaining qualities that the other bad girls like wuya and katnappe had. She went to the same barber her husband-father and Lute goes to. The most frustrating part about it is she acts more like the original chase than the actual chase! Ugh! No wonder he acts more goofy in Chronic Pain, she stole his personality!

He also abuses her. Like, she was nothing but loyal to him yet he attacks her for making one snarky comment - the og chase did threatened people but never outwardly attacked them over something so petty - and with all this im mind they come off less as student and mentor and more like a domestic abuser and his victim. The Real chase ain't no saint but he wasnt a creepy old man either! Eeeeeeeeeew!

The worse moment had to be the one episode where he lays an egg and he CRIES OVER it!

Un-freaking-BELIEVABLE!!!

At the end comes the most nonsense revelation - he and omi are related! And its never revisited again. I guess even the wrirers knew the convoluted this twist is since nowhere in showdown suggested chase and omi were family. If they were then they would be distantly related at best.

Can you just imagine making a show that is so boring, so atrocious, and so mind numbingly stupid, the only thing people remember it for is one episode and only because of how BAD it is?

The worst part is I can't recall a single significant thing Chase had done in Chronic Headache. In the original he had awesome moments like his duel with Master guan, the soccer match against the monks for omi's freedom, the three way battle between kimiko-disgused-as-jack hannibal bean, his partnership with wuya, getting between jermaine and omi's friendship, TAKING OKVER THE WORLD. What did he even do in Chronic Headache besides being a bigger dork than Doofenshmirtz and being the type of guy the latter would vaporize?

NOTHING! HE DID JACK SPICER SHIT IN CHRONICLES DESPITE HAVING MORE APPEARANCES THAN IN THE ORIGINAL!!

Alright I think I got most of it out of my system. They say its better to vent now than holding it all in for it to explode later. I dont know why this show went the direction it did with Chase but as far as I am concerned he is not real, he is not a good version of a character and even on his own he is a terrible villain. He's an absolute insult to the chad Heylin Prince of Darkness and a reason why cartoon reboots get the unfortunate reputation they have.

And the sad part is since this is the only major Showdown media this may be the last time I'll ever see Chase in animated form, so until Christy Hui makes more content, we're pretty much stuck with this guy.

soemthign thats really bothering me about the whole "actually, ganondorf didnt like the guy appearing out of nowhere marrying a hylian and just saying yep das our kingdom now and we can mine it barren under your nose and also i got laserbeam pebbles that i totally wont ever use on anyone come join me or die just bc of all of that but mainly bc the guy brought some weird tech with him that he dont like" - thing is that ......... we see almost not a single tech thing in the past (and for that matter see nothing of the oh so perfect and peaceful paradise hyrule was before big evil desert man didnt want to join our paradise- like what is the point about making the whole point of the game be -we need to restore hyrule to this paradise it once was- when you dont even see it or get to care about anything of it)

it might sound like a weird hangup but no really, the most we see is like two servant constructs, thats it, when they 'prepare for war' im pretty sure all you see is some lightly dressed ( ... is it just me or does their whole get up look alot like native american/other indingenous people too ... i still dont know how to feel about that- kinda adjacent to some of the sonau armor, the battery one i think??, also having that look...) hylians with spears, where the heck is all that tech?? is it implied to be all down in the mines hollowing out the underground (for no real reason either bc .... theres only two sonau left and no one else seems to want use nor need the tech otherwise there should have been more traces or soemthing left of it -unless it all just magically appeared out of nowhere in mostly prime condition while all shiekah tech jsut vaporized for bs non reasons just for it to be in tha game but oh dont you see its always been there lmao- so whats the point really????)

(also ... why isnt there a big like battle ground , like fine you dont have to animate an army of monsters and robots clashing but... wouldnt it be cool to have you discover a giant flat plain in the underground (that magically got put under ground like gan just decided to stroll down there to get sealed lol) and its the only mostly empty field in the game littered with thousands of monster bones and dead constructs intermingled?? just to give it all a bit of weight?? evidence that it happened?? cool ass discovery????)

Demon partner with demonish partner? Isnt that perfect? Yeah yeah, you are diffrent from eachother but definitely have common ground, arent you? Dunno why but I feel like your charm wouldnt work on him just becasue of what he is. That doesnt mean that he doesnt find your ass cute tho! He just you know..its not really obsessive but more of actual feelings. Even if other pastas fell in love with your character too, then Jack would be a bit diffrent and at first fell for who you are and not what you look like! When it comes to possible of jealousity, he is not that much of envious about people who you flirt with/or they flirt with you! He clearly understands that you do it more for your..entertainment and to cause chaos (and maybe some sort of revenge). Also he is immortal, you are immortal - best couple to ever exist! How does sleeping and eating work for Varian? Does rain or being immersed in water affect him? Does his energy come from magic or science? (Like is he solar powered, or is there a magic energy source keeping him working?)

What are Yong and Nuru's reactions to realizing Varian is a robot? After finding out he himself is a robot, does Varian ever try to communicate to other robots, even the rogue ones, to stop them or to test if they are as sentient as him? Are there other sentient robots besides Varian, or is he the most advanced? I imagine Varian not only dealing with an existential crisis but feeling out of place with both people and robots (not human enough to be human, but too advanced to be labeled another robot).

Also any other fun robot quirks of Varian?

currently i am Undecided on if donella knows what varian is. either way she would definitely find out, and i think it would probably be from hugo IF she doesnt know already. im actually going kind of insane about the idea that she wants to take him apart so i'll be real with you that is now part of this au. thank u. hugo would not know about this specific goal donella has

because he is meant to perfectly integrate with humans, most things are normal for him! his system, while synthetic, still works Mostly like a biological human. water doesnt really have an effect on him BUT i think he was programmed with a "fear" of cold weather to avoid being in the snow too much because it can damage him a little bit (excessive cold has a negative effect with his system)

his energy source is partially magic and partially science! the reason he is sentient is he does, truly, have a soul. this isnt really fully understood by him at first (and the source of much angst, naturally), but the reality is the magic that ulla harnessed was the ability to give him life. as for the rest of his energy- he's mostly solar powered! it helps that he lives in corona, the light kingdom. out on the road he's usually able to still stay energized- but i can imagine times where all energy sources are getting depleted and he acts a little loopy (its fun)

yong and nuru definitely are, well, shocked? like it is an insane thing for anyone to witness. but despite their confusion they definitely still care deeply for him. yong in particular is inquisitive about varian's robot-ness, i think that can get a little uncomfortable for varian sometimes but he knows he means well

i think the gang would at some point try and find ways to communicate with the other robots via varian! im unsure currently if that would ever be successful, but it would absolutely be something they'd try considering how varian's existence is basically the Key to a lot of this. that being said, while they probably dont know for sure, i can say that varian is the only sentient robot- unless you count what ulla did to herself (uploading her consciousness/soul basically lol. scary AI mode)

You Get It. in general varian's character desperately trying to find his place is a super important element to me- so it manifests in the robot au like this exactly. but being with yong, nuru, and hugo eventually leads to him finding kinship with them. which, i think, is pretty similar to the regular version of vat7k (where he doesnt find himself within corona OR his mother's extended family- but instead with this group of weird nerds). varian might always struggle with his lack of human traits and his humanity that other robots dont have- but his friends and family, who are notably weird and unique in their own ways too, certainly help get rid of those bad feelings and reassure him

as for fun robot quirks... oh most definitely. remind me later (<- im telling myself this too) to talk about them bc i already made this way too long and listing off Fun Robot Quirks Of Varian is gonna make this even longer ksjdfhsd

here's one for now: when he gives hugs he can sometimes cause someone's hair to go puffed up from the static electricity. this also includes kisses but how will they Ever find that out :)

i want to talk about the dark tower (5.06) because it is SUCH a frustrating episode for multiple reasons. it’s unique in that it’s one of the only morgana/gwen centric episodes in the entire series - and yet it ends up becoming a detriment to both of their characters’ development. this episode sucks not just because of the evil gwen plotline (which was terrible yes. we love the writers just removing her autonomy over and over again for no reason!) which resulted from it but also because the lost potential of it all - when this setup could have been easily used to create some of the most interesting plot lines for gwen (and morgana) in s5

like. sorry to say but would it be that impossible or insane for gwen to actually sympathise to some degree with morgana here without magical brainwashing. to me its not! the thing about gwen is that she's a morally driven character first and foremost. one of the main reasons she falls in love with arthur is because crucially, she sees him as a good person. she loves him for the values that she believes he upholds and his desire to do justice. it was same with lancelot - it's emphasised that she liked him because he's honourable and good. we also see that she values her morality and doing the right thing above her own emotions at times (re: her not wishing for uther's death even after he killed her father).

with that in mind, would it be that insane for her entire perspective on arthur and merlin (AND magic) to change because of morgana? firstly, gwen never finds out that merlin poisoned morgana. this is very important to me.... because although yes he didn't 'have a choice' (im not gonna get into all of that but i understand both sides of the argument. whatever) he still did something wrong. like. killing 1 or 10 people in the trolley problem still makes u a murderer. she has every right to hate him. he objectively betrayed her and took advantage of her trust. i feel as if gwen would sympathise with morgana and at the very least this would affect her opinion towards merlin to some degree, and make her realise he's hiding things (because she, like arthur, doesn't know half the shit he gets up to and does! she even less than him!). furthermore (and more importantly) i can absolutely see gwen sympathising with morgana against arthur to some degree too. like yes he's her husband but AGAIN she's someone who always puts her principles first and objectively arthur is upholding his father's legacy by continuing the oppression of magic users. he is textually an oppressor. in 5.13 its clear gwen doesnt fully distrust or hate magic from her conversation with gaius (although she might be suspicious of it considering her past experiences) so she would probably be very sympathetic and understanding if morgana were to explain to her what it was like to be a magic user under uther's reign. how demonised and oppressed they truly were and continue to be. like. she would absolutely still criticise and call morgana out for hurting innocent people but ultimately morgana's cause (despite it being not really true to what it claims to be) would be sympathetic. at the very least she would see that arthur is wrong, even somewhat, for continuing to uphold his father's legacy. especially because (as the writers seemed to forget for some reason.) of her extremely complicated relationship with uther in the past, considering he almost had her killed more than once and did in fact murder her father because of his obsession with banning magic. and now her husband is doing the same thing.

no of course gwen would not side with morgana at this point in the story. but she would understand her and sympathise and it would create such an interesting moment of character growth/conflict. it would make her question her marriage, the things she THOUGHT arthur and camelot stood for and whether those things are really true. it would make her doubt merlin's character and realise he's hiding so much more than she thought. it might make her distrust him or demand the truth. it might make her wonder what SHE wants to do as queen, as a ruler in her own right, especially if she starts to have ideological disagreements with her husband. there's literally so much that could have been done with her in s5 as fallout from just this one episode and they did the most boring thing ever and made it suck so bad. bbc merlin writers ur not seeing the pearly gates

Hey Wix! Two questions today. 👀👀👀 One botl related, the other about your writing and planning.

The first is related to how Harry and Theo might want to keep each other at arms length, in case they get caught in each others issues. Now that Hogwarts is starting, is there a chance that Harry will be worried about how being involved with Theo might affect Theo? Theo already told Snape his thoughts about it, but maybe Harry DOESNT know that Theo is cool with them still being seen together.

and the other question is about your storyplanning. How did you plan everything? The plot and the arcs? I tend to have issues with building up a plot, and your world has quite a lot of worldbuilding, and themes, and characters. Did you get inspired by anything in particular and it all snowballed, and then you kept adding stuff down the line, or did you have it all planned since the beginning? Like, where did the idea of John come from, for example?

Answering this will have a lot of spoilers for stuff that's already happened in Burning of the Library so I'ma put it below the break for anyone scrolling by.

💕Thank you for even asking these questions! I feel so special hah. Okay - first thing's first, you're right that Harry DOESN'T know that Theo is cool with them being seen together as friends. He doesn't even know that Theo has already decided This Is A Thing That Will Happen.

That will get settled pretty quick in the next chapter or two, but without going too deep into spoiler territory, it won't be that easy in practice. For reasons.

Some of the reasons are obvious (Umbridge stress, judgmental housemates, friendship drama) but the biggest reason is that, basically, Harry will bottle up his issues and hide them from Theo because he thinks Theo has enough to deal with and shouldn't have to put up with Harry's problems. This whole conflict is what I would describe as the next "arc" in his and Theo's friendship.

It's a short arc. I am not a fan of like, misunderstandings and miscommunications being drawn out for a long, long time, but it does need to happen. And it's not really miscommunication as it is a deliberate withholding of communication...but that whole little arc is so good! It's full of angst, anger, drama, revenge, hurt, comfort, all the good stuff that makes me itch to skip ahead and write it right now!

Now - as for Theo...Theo's going to have a very unique hangup about his "closeness" to Harry that I'm sure you'll be able to guess once a certain thing in the plot gets revealed on the train.

The Writing Process

This gif is how I feel about my storybuilding sometimes. OKAY! Going back in time to September 2023, I created the very first document file for "Burning of the Library" (the name never changed, btw!) And I only had ONE idea, which was that Theo's house would be burned down by fiendfyre, and Harry and Sirius would find him surrounded by a mysterious bubble of light that was sentient and asked Harry to protect him.

So, I wrote that, because I could not get it out of my head. From there, I tried to write backwards to create some kind of plot. I wrote a lot of scenes of Harry being rescued from the Dursleys. Stuff about Houses and Lords and Ladies and old magic. Stuff about him not trusting Dumbledore. Stuff about Sirius fixing his mind. All things that changed (mostly).

At the time I was working on a Powerpuff Girls fic and also my original work, and so I would just kinda take breaks in Harry Potter because it was easy to write.

Anyway, the moment when the story became a Story and not a collection of scenes was when I thought about something I think of often - which is One Piece (my other great obsession and love). Oda famously KNEW how he was going to end this insanely long story right when he started writing it. And I have always, always, always had a problem with endings in my stories, so I basically had this thought experiment where I tried to figure out how I would end this HP story that I had no investment in whatsoever.

And, it worked! I came up with an ending! Or a "final scene", I guess, that led to an idea for a sequel. And then I was like, well fuck, I guess I have a "complete" story idea, I should try and write this.

As far as outlining plot and story arcs, right when I started writing I built waypoints in the plot to basically help me get from "Library Burning Down" to "Wixen's Classified End Scene". They live in my notes as vague titles: "The Train", "Cheering Charms", "The Apology", "The Forest", "Yule", "Quest", "Quidditch", and several more.

But my writing process is entirely character-driven. Sometimes, unexpected POVs will be written to expressly move the plot along, but I love developing these characters so much so I try to incorporate some kind of growth or conflict or revelation in their POV section, if I can. I basically let the characters take me from point to point, which is why my estimate of when we will finally escape summer is always wrong lmao. These people just have a lot to say!

John is kinda funny - he was a totally unexpected and late addition to the story. Originally, when I published the first chapter, John was a TEMPORARY character! He was meant to drop lore about druids and mages and then exit stage left after bringing Harry to the bank. But, I knew I wanted Harry to have a familiar in the story - I just hadn't decided what kind or when. And I hadn't ever seen Harry with a cat in a fic before, so I thought it was a unique idea that might be fun to play around with.

Developing John's character was really fun. I knew he would be a cat-sith almost instantly, and from there I created this life he had with Johanna and then, later, Desmond to figure out WHY he would choose to hang out with Harry.

As far as themes and stuff, I guess I have certain sensibilities in HP fic I wanted to write but don't often read? Like an honest exploration of the Order's actions as a resistance group. And giving Harry more agency, and dreams. I feel like Harry never has a dream in canon. He just...moves from crisis to crisis. I want my Harry to WANT something, something bigger than revenge.

That's how I am for most of my fav characters, Sirius namely. The Slytherins, of course, all have developed backstories and motivations because I think they're criminally underdeveloped. But most of all I wanted to write a story that was not strictly good versus evil - I wanted it to be messy.

Characters WILL do things they think are right but for terrible reasons, or make mistakes, or do the wrong thing that they KNOW is wrong because that's simply the choice they made...yeah. I don't like sanitized stories, I guess lol. Part of my horror background bleeding through I think.

Last thing I'll say...[I'm so long winded...no wonder I wrote 300k words already 🙈] some characters have fates or character arcs I've already decided on. Like Bill, Sirius, Snape, Remus. Others are undecided - mainly Ron. He's a real problem for me right now because I can't decide where he fits in further along, unlike Hermione. Harry and Theo - their WHOLE relationship is planned out. Oh boy. That's the part I spend the most time on, to be real.

So when it comes to magic and such, i think it depends on the spells and what it requires of the user. like, if the magic runs off of like, life energy or whatever, then it would probably take a toll on the user and their wings would look tattered and unkempt, the feathers fraying, thinning, becoming brittle and fragile.

with the flashes, theyre all wither hummingbirds, or sunbirds. like, not all hummers/sunbirds are flashes, but all flashes are hummers/sunbirds 😔

in all seriousness tho, theyd have to bind/hide their wings since they create drag, and having their wings just out there behind them would 1, slow them down SIGNIFICANTLY, and 2, have the potential to just... rip off of them if the flashes are going too fast. it doesnt matter how good their healing is, i doubt they can regrow limbs.

for metas like duke and hal jordan who have powers that dont directly outright change their biology or make them inhuman (if that makes sense) i think their wings are just, normal wings, maybe a bit sturdier? but hal jordan's just some guy with a powered ring (im p sure) so its whatever

being blessed/cursed would be kinda complicated since it determines what the terms of the blessing/curse are. but i think for jason blood, whenever he calls etrigan, his wings kinda just, turn into leathery stereotypical demon wings (but the transformation itches like crazy, probably.... the only thing ive seen of the two are from that one movie where zatana and john constatine team up with batman and that one acrobat ghost dude)

for billy, i think his wings would reflect the age he's at. for his 12 y/o form, i think he's have the coloration typical of his species's immature/fledgling coloration. but after he shazams himself into cpt marvel, i think he'll display the bright coloration/saturated colors that you'd find in his species (the only thing ive seen of him is the shazam movie 😔)

for martian manhunter... has he ever done hair?? cos wings are complicated, what with each individual feathers needing to be specifically recreated would be similar to hair, and then theres the matter of making the muscles work and everything move in a natural way. even if he manages to recreate wings, they’d look uncanny and wrong, and it freaks people out, and some ids may cry if they see him. It’s like a sickly victorian child looking at ai art with too many elbows/joints and too many fingers: it’d be disconcerting for them, and civillians would be distressed

and as a treat: different species would probably have like, wide-ranging diets. Like carnivorous raptors- alfred, tim, bruce, etc, would have a taste for meat whereas jason, duke, steph, and dick would be more keen toward grains, seeds, trail mixes, stuff like that. Dick in particular would be a FIEND for sweet fruit (the flashes would also all prolly be obsessed with calorie-dense and sugary fruits)

there would probably be plenty of shops/stores that sell insects for primarily insect-eating species, which means eating insects would probably be a more accepted thing in this world than it is in our world currently

oh my gosh, okay this isnt my DL thing but i just remembered i had this silly ridiculous idea and had literally told no one.

But my silly fluff obsessed self also loves looking at certain things out of context sometimes and so when I was watching all the LL povs my brain went "lmao what if they were in a secret relationship the whole time?"

think the biggest thing i remember is when they meet in the nether in session 2 and theyre doing the pillar down together, and like have half way teamed up for a moment and scar doesnt boogey kill him, doesnt even consider it and then Grian goes "wait were not on a team, why have i teamed up with you all of a sudden?" I think he actually says something similar to that more than once in the season

and also the silly bodyguard bit from Jimmy's pov of session 5 or 6 when theyre all in the wizard hut. "please do not point that [grians loaded crossbow] at my face." "no but I'll be like your bodyguard." *proceeds to point the crossbow at Jimmy who he's meant to be in an alliance with*

- The valley is FULL of magic, but not alot of Magical Beings that utilize that magic. If the residents of pelican town knew more about magic, there would be alot more wizards than just. The Wizard.

- Everyone in pelican town has some kind of latent magic, or at the very least, an affinity or sensitivity to magic. I like to think that magic builds in very secluded corners of their world and the area including (and surrounding) pelican town is simply one of those places.

-(sorry, i am just obsessed with Places and Magic) I like the idea of your farmer being drawn to pelican town bc they have a bit of magic in them. The letter is just A Letter, but it is the desire to see this town that makes them leave their old life behind. I am obsessed w the idea that the magic in the farmer craves the valley bc it sees the valley as its home, and by extension, the farmer sees the valley as their home. The people of pelican town rarely leave bc the magic in them sees the valley as their home always. The biggest examples of this are Kent, Demetrius, Evelyn, Emily and Shane. The huge exceptions to this (still workin on it) are lewis and sebastian; lewis bc i see him as a normal, non-magical being trying to wrangle the weirdness of this town, and sebastian bc his feelings of isolation and not being understood propels him to crave the world outside of the valley. (That changes a bit if u befriend him/romance him)

-(shane is weird bc hes super depressed and lonely but his happiness comes from his new ‘ragtag family’ (his words) and his very Not Normal chickens. The animals of the valley love him bc he loves them and he becomes tied to the valley bc of it. Marnie has always loved the animals of the valley and some of the love they had for her definitely rubbed off onto shane, who very openly admits he loves the chickens 💙)

-I wasnt very fond of the idea of purple=magic but i think that was bc i often saw it as a way to tie-in the wizard and abigail. I am still trying to get through the friendships for everyone but rn it doesnt feel like theres any connection between them (and caroline). But. I do like the idea of odd, unnatural colors coming through bc of magic. Alex and Pierre having normal brown hair; Haley and Sam being true blondes. BUT. Shane and Jas having purple-ish hair. Emily and Caroline have blue toned hair. Even vincent have pinkish hair 🥺💖 (and dare i say….sebastian with purple/black hair like shane 👀…maybe he has more magic in him than hed like to believe). Abigail doesnt count bc from what ive seen, Caroline laments about her daughters dyed hair. “When she was younger it used to be chestnut brown” which…awww she took after her dad lol.

ayano is into homestuck. used to role play warrior cats. loves the marvel cinematic universe, and just any superhero comic book stuff in general. canonically into jojo.

kido's is BANDS. specifically bands considered emo back in 2013 or something. my chemical romance. blink 189. black veil brides. that was their shit. also im sorry but they were a superwholock. sorryyyyyy i also think they'd be into medical dramas like grey's anatomy and dr house LMAO

i dont think seto did or does fandoms. i think seto goes outside too much. he's the only one who has no idea what being in a fandom is like, also the least online definitely (I'll get to mary)

kano would be into youtubers/celebrities. he's so into celebrity gossip it's impossible to talk to him he knows of names youve never even heard of.

haruka and takane are the fnaf lore guys especially haruka i seriously think he arrives to school one day after he stayed up all night watching fnaf lore videos and told takane all about it. they're the ones lining up for the movie rn. they also probably roleplayed undertale together in highschool. also i think takane likes analog horror which is horrible for haruka bc i think he hates horror but he's also weirdly fascinated by it so he's watching through his fingers anything takane puts on lol. they tend to share their fandoms especially in hs because haruka was furiously googling anything takane mentioned to have conversation topics with her
