Watched the new Helluva Boss episode yesterday. I wanna say thank you to Vivzie for no longer blue balling us with Blitz's backstory and unfolding everything one by one!! This scene was touching. A friendship slowly blossoming once more. I can tell Blitz has been through it......my God I feel like shits about unfold.

I'm Done. Helluva Boss has officially lost me.

I finally tried to watch Apology Tour this evening. I made it to 9m58s and I just could NOT go any further in the episode. I very honestly had to close the browser because I was cringing so hard. So I have no idea what happened past Verosika cutting the Blitz cake, other than what I've seen online from y'all.

And that's saying something, considering I managed to make it through the painful, cringe-worthy Stolas/Blitz confrontation at the end of "Full Moon".

Please feel free to let me know if any future episodes are truly worth watching, but I just keep getting the absolute "Ick" from Viv and Co. regarding most of the HB/HH content in 2024.

It's odd and weirdly humbling to be in a position where I used to defend these shows and the writers (to an extent), but I just can't anymore. I'm done. The narrative in HH and especially HB is so painful for me to watch, now. You may disagree, which is absolutely, positively fine!

Power to you if you enjoy it, but I don't, anymore.

My genuine facial expression for the entire first ten minutes of "Apology Tour" that I could manage to stomach was LITERALLY this:

I still enjoy HB's first few S1 episodes before HB bought in so heavily into becoming the "Stolitz" show (I'm fully aware Stolas was featured from the start, but he was very villain-coded in the beginning, and I loved it, and its past potential storyline implications).

And I will admit that I find the original Fizz/Oz content from "Ozzie's" and pieces of S2 E6&7 to be enjoyable. I'm still an absolute sucker for Fizzarolli - sue me.

But let me be clear, Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel were never - in my eyes - well-done, artistic, or particularly poignant. They were fun, but that was the end of it. They weren't/aren't well-written.

They're not "important", which is fine. Content doesn't have to be important, impactful, or "well done" in order for people to enjoy it.

They were fun, and fun only. But now, they are trying to be "good", and they (HB, esp.) are not that. Because, frankly, Viv truly isn't capable of writing that way. Which - again - is fine!! Not everything has to be cinematically excellent and objectively "good" in order to be enjoyable to the audience.

We can enjoy content without it having to be important.

But please stop trying to make your fun IMP plotline into a melodrama that you, yourself, are not mature enough to write WELL, Vivienne. Stop playing HB as suddenly "important" with storylines that are complex and inward-focused when you have failed to set them up as such from the start.

Ret-conning is not good writing, and you're relying on it far too much. Particularly with your dear, sweet Stolas.

And frankly, I'm tired.

We should have a "Viv Sucks" party every Halloween, instead.

Srsly but i need someone to talk about this. My only concern and complain about the Helluva Boss finale is at episode 11 and 12. For Episode 11 i was shocked and did'nt actually thought stolas would be there in the episode. My mind was like: "Dude, are'nt you and Blitz are still not on good terms from Apology tour and you come to the trial as if you care for him??" That is the moment i knew something is wrong with the shows writing. It just does'nt make sense for Stolas immediately want to save Blitz there when the other episode before they are still not good with each other. It's so rushed for me to the point i feel weird watching the ending and hard to have sympathy with the story now.

With episode 12, I hate how everyone overlook Octavia as "not appreciating Stolas who 'try' to be a good father" Reminder to you that she's a teenager. She never understood whats going on around her. Seeing your parents fight and find out one of them was the problem of course you would turn against them as well. Its just frustrating for me.

Also Pilot Stolas could have been something we can get ALL ALONG. I JUST HAVE THIS FEELING THAT PILOT STOLAS COULD BE MORE LIKEABLE THAN SHOW STOLAS.

I will never bored myself to say this but i will sell my soul to litteraly anyone who is willing to re write this 2 show. Litteraly. They. Could've done. Better. Thats all from me.

But I see what you’re saying, and yeah the writing is atrocious. Personally I started getting irritated by the time of (S1:E6) Truth Seekers and (S1:E7) Ozzie’s bc of the back-to-back hits on Blitzø (which was subtle foreshadowing for the real horrors to come and sweet summer child me had no idea 😣) and then (S2:E1) The Circus began the true spiral into total disillusion when they had the audacity to use SA as a tool for sympathizing with Stolas.

I’m done watching the show as of the Season 2 finale because I’m not a fujoshi girl by any means, and that’s the only reason I can think of anyone sincerely enjoying that crap — but then I know others may have a higher tolerance for bullshit than myself.

If Viv knew better, she would’ve done minimal to no writing for the show and allowed Brandon Rogers to be the head writer. We would’ve gotten pilot!Stolas then, my dear.

Helluva Boss S2 E7 theories

Just finished re-watching the whole of Helluva Boss and now idk what to do with myself so here's my prediction of how the next episode will go down:

Given where we left off, combined with the visuals in the music video for Look This Way and the fact that the next episode is apparently called "Full Moon" I'm fairly confident that it will include Stolas giving Blitzo the crystal he got from Asmodeus.

Regardless of how Blitzo reacts (not well I'm guessing) this will end the transactional nature of their relationship, leaving Blitzo with two choices: continue having sex with Stolas without an ulterior motive to hide behind or walk away.

Unfortunately I suspect we'll get the latter.

In S2 E5 we finally got a proper insight into Blitzo's feelings on Stolas and their relationship: Blitzo refuses to believe that Stolas is interested in him for anything more than sex, insisting their relationship is "a novelty to him" and thinks Stolas only pretends to care about him.

Meanwhile, in S2 E6 Stolas admitted openly that he has feelings for Blitzo but it's clear from both Look My Way (assuming that song is canon) and his earlier song from S2 E2 that he thinks (or at least suspects) that Blitzo is only sleeping with him to retain access to the Grimoire.

So from Stolas' perspective, gifting Blitzo the crystal will put the ball in Blitzo's court, giving him what he's wanted from the start (access to the human world) without having to do or give anything return.

Unfortunately, given Blitzo's self-esteem issues, he'll undoubtedly see this as a rejection and assume Stolas has simply gotten bored of him. In fact, knowing him, he'll probably overcompensate by making a whole song and dance (maybe literally) of how much he hated their arrangement and is so glad he doesn't have to have sex with Stolas any more.

The big question is, what happens after that? I have 3 main theories:

1. Blitzo will sulk for a while until someone (probably Fizz or Asmodeus but possibly Moxxie, Millie, Loona or even Via) will give him a talking to and make him realise that Stolas does actually want to be with him.

2. Episode 7 will end with them "broken up" and heartbroken but the following episodes will force them to interact, most likely with Blitzo being bitchy and resentful until it all bubbles to the surface and he reveals that he feels Stolas used him then tossed him aside.

3. Stolas will get in trouble for lending his grimoire to Blitzo and events will unfold from there in a way that culminates in them realising each other's true feelings. (I know this one is pretty vague but I think it's still distinct enough from the previous 2 scenarios to be a separate point)

Based on what we know of the characters and where their heads are at at this point in the show, I really don't see any scenario in which Blitzo views the gifted crystal as the selfless gesture it is, nor do I see him taking it as an opportunity to start a new non-transactional relationship with Stolas (at least not without a push from another character)

Stolas and Blitzo are both gonna feel rejected by the other and it's gonna be angsty as hell.

Some of the thoughts I had while watching the new Helluva Boss episode (S2 E6):

That convo Blitzø and Fizz had in the cell had me cringing so hard. I can almost sense the writers going:

Crimson and all his henchmen just conveniently being distracted by Fizz's song, not realizing what's happening? I call bullshit.

When you have a lot of villians it's a good idea to make them team up, but it's done in one scene with no build up. So short, so empty. Combine it with how he was treated like some joke in Western Energy, it just feels like Striker's being a Henchman for convenience's sake.

"You know there's eyes around" "I know, I don't care. Cause they know if they tell anyone I'll break 'em". So it is a big deal for royalty to be mixing with Imps💀... lol. One last thing, you can just tell nobody in the writing's room cares about the consequences they set up. They constantly find excuses around them at best and ignore them at worst.

After all that, I still fuckin' hate Blitzø :)

copy pasting my review of the helluva boss music video here just because

for further context when i wrote the review on discord i had no idea that this was a COVER of an already existing song made by PARANOiD DJ back in 2021. just so i don't look stupid imma be tweaking a bit of my review that's just saying 'why would viv write THIS' because at most she just slightly changed it a bit, or that's what i'm assuming anyway.

i'm also gonna add a bit more to my review here such as the lyric changes and the overall emotional weight of the song. i'm not really gonna review it animation or song-wise, because the animation is fucking specTACULAR, and the song aspect doesn't matter much to me. i think the original 2021 version is pretty good at least.

this song [i'm guessing at least] comes after S2 E6 'OOPS', which was a half-sequel to S2 E1 'The Circus', meaning that Stolas finally has the Asmodean crystal that he plans to give to Blitzo, either to cut ties from him completely or to see if he'll keep talking to Stolas after he has a new way to get to earth that doesn't involve his grimoire.

(side note idk why viv keeps tryna push 'Stolitz' so much when Blitzo has actively said he doesn't like Stolas romantically and only sees him for the book. but she's gone on to change that multiple times so we went from Blitzo being forced to sleep with Stolas and hating it, to him actually having some kind of feelings, back to hating him, and now back to feelings, over and over. i know Blitzos whole character is that he can't accept affection properly but it's different when this 'affection' is just consensual r4pe via power imbalance and then has to be turned around so that neither Stolas or Blitzo are the bad guys when they clearly are.)

because of the song being made in around 2021, before season 2's downfall, the lyrics had to be changed to fit. which is completely fine to do, mind you, but the issue is what what lyrics in specific were changed. in the original 2021 version, Stolas mentions Octavia and how she must feel about everything happening in her life, but in the new version, it's cut out entirely. Why?? i know the main focus is supposed to be his relationship, but this entire situation is affecting his family as well, and especially Octavia. it makes no sense to completely neglect his own DAUGHTER for someone that he repeatedly fetishizes and treats as lower- but also someone that he idolizes and sees as his true love. i could go on and on about how the changes of their dynamic piss me off but that's a bit of a tangent.

speaking of which why is there 2 songs for stolas doing the same fucking thing. in S2E1 he's singing about blitzo while thinking about leaving him. now in THIS video he's.. singing about blitzo while thinking about leaving him, the only difference is that in the former song he didn't have the crystal, and now he does.

the song in general feels so forced especially with how the Stolitz arc has been progressing, which is barely. they last talked in S2E4 'WESTERN ENERGY' and the very little character it added was all shoved into a 3 second scene of Stolas scrolling thru text of them talking about the events after 'OZZIES'. and then we exclusively see Blitzos side of the aftermath, but not Stolas. he seems perfectly fine compared to Blitzo, or maybe he's not; why not fucking show that! and no the video doesn't count because it's talking about the events that take place after 'OOPS' not 'OZZIES'. pretty sure that former episode canonically takes place months before the latter.

i saw an amazing thread that breaks this video down if you compare it to pearl's song 'It's Over, Isn't It'. it just doesn't work the same way because of the insane power dynamic and the fact that Stolas wanted to keep Blitzo for so long, manipulating him for that want as well. at least he's finally going to let go NOW [i assume], but it feels long overdue, especially with how much these 2 have been forced to deal with.

Helluva boss Sinsmas songs are now on YouTube and Spotify, and potential uploads of more/every helluva boss song on Spotify.

First off, the songs used in the Sinsmas episode have been officially uploaded to YouTube and Spotify (Except 'I will be okay'):

But with that out of the way, let's discuss the second part of the title.

I believe that we're going to see most of if not all of the helluva boss discography on Spotify and the other official channels as well, for two main reasons.

The first being this tweet from Sam Haft, while I will admit I might be coming to the wrong conclusion here, I highly suspect that 'you know what that means!' means that they're planning to officially upload more of helluva boss' discography in the near future, and there's one more piece of evidence that also potentially points to this as well.

Notice anything interesting in the credit listings underneath the single name, and the song names? That's right, Helluva Boss itself is credited as well as the actual composers and such.

What I find interesting about this is that it appears that the official helluva boss Spotify account was made specifically for this release, implying that the official account was created recently, which suggests to me that the team is finally in a place where they can actually start officially uploading the discography of helluva boss onto streaming platforms like Spotify.

There's something else I want to bring up as well, mainly the fact that there are a few official videos for helluva boss songs on Vivziepop's channel, although specifically for s2 e7 and s2 e6. (Just look my way doesn't count for this considering that one is not in an episode at all.)

With the only common thread between all of them being Fizzarolli, and quite frankly idk if I can draw anything from that connection.

Looking at Jefferson's Friedman topic channel gives us a few pieces of music used within the show, also with actual proper album art covers, which to me suggests that every piece of music and song used within helluva boss so far has an actual album cover associated with it already, but due to whatever is going on internally, they cannot release said album cover art yet, as they have no reason to do so without a release on streaming services like Spotify or on the composer's topic page on YouTube.

With this being another thing that appears to suggest to me that the team is getting ready to start releasing most of helluva boss' discography officially, on their YouTube channel and on streaming services like Spotify, with proper album cover art to boot.

You may be thinking, 'but wait, there's the When I see him BTS on the channel, doesn't that blow a giant hole in what you're saying here?' and my answer to that is no, absolutely nowhere does it claim to be an official video for the song, so therefore, I do not consider the video giving us an insight into the recording of these songs to be an official video for the song specifically.

Are you named after anyone?

No but my parents definitely got carried away with name meanings so my given name means something like "Wisdom Reborn". Truly had a lot of expectations to subvert from birth.

A few days ago because I watched Helluva Boss S2 E6 and it hit something in me in a way I can't really explain.

3. Do you have kids?

No and I never will. At least not biologically. Now if I ever end up in a poly situation where everyone's gung-ho about adopting and we have enough of a "village" support system we'll talk.

4. What sports do you play/have played?

I played basketball and soccer as a kid. The basketball I was good at because I was comparatively short and my entire job was basically to tackle people without getting fouled. The soccer I was horrible at and only played because my dad forced me. Then I did a bit of weightlifting during my BA but now I am a lazy/sleepy couch potato.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

To the point where I have to clarify to my friends that I'm not serious at least once during every conversation.
