Headcanons of how Cabins decorating a Sleepy Hypnos child's hair

Personally I believe that each Hypnos child has soft curly hair which makes it easy for other campers from other Cabins to decorate their hair out of boredom and it slowly becomes a competition between the cabins on which cabin does it the most and which style is their favorite, etc. and here's how each cabin can tell ~this was inspired by some IG reels and a post by @/clovis-enthusiast

**Side Note: I would say some staff of CHB join in to represent some gods to avoid any potential conflicts**

Cabin 1 -Zeus: gold metallic lighting bolts

Cabin 2- Hera: peacock feathers (I like to think Argus decided to represent her cabin and protect Hera's honor in a way)

Cabin 3- Poseidon: little orange starfishes (like the ones in the Aquamarine movie-2006) and seashells

Cabin 4- Demeter: wheat and flowers (they negotiated with the Aphrodite Cabin on which flowers- the ones that represent/symbolizes any type of love or have heart shapes-i.e. heart shaped forget me not flowers are only for the cabin 10 and ofc both cabins have a list of which type their cabins can use)

Cabin 5- Ares: plastic sword toothpicks and mini metal spike balls (which the cabin later had to change them to those spiky porcupine balls for safety because Chiron said so)

Cabin 6- Athena: owl feathers, olive branch crown, maybe ripped up papers with favorite quotes from books

Cabin 7- Apollo: guitar string flowers, ripped up papers with poems/ music lyrics, music note paper clips

Cabin 8- Artemis: silver little stars (they only participate when they visit CHB)

Cabin 9- Hephaestus: nuts and bolts, flowers made out of wires

Cabin 10- Aphrodite: butterfly/flower hair clips, bow hair clips, hearts, and flowers and honestly anything that the cabin sees that's fit and pretty (the cabin was also asked to tone it down just so to keep it fun for all cabins and ofc it's no surprise that this cabin goes all out)

Cabin 11- Hermes: wind-up chatter teeth toys or those fake insects

Cabin 12- Dionysus: grapevine floral crown with little grapes

Cabin 13- Hades: tiny skeleton heads

Cabin 14-Iris: little rainbow hair clips or anything rainbow related

Cabin 15- Hypnos: probably leftover pillow feathers if they're awake long enough

Cabin 16- Nemesis: mini balance scales (the Hephaestus cabin def helped make them just to ensure safety)

Cabin 17- Nike: laurel's leaves (Apollo cabin was nice to give this one up-also yes I did look up some symbols to represent each god/goddess)

Cabin 18- Hebe: tiny clay cups/mugs of any style

Cabin 19- Tyche: mini four leave clovers/ horseshoes (as she is the goddess of fortune, luck, and prosperity)

Cabin 20- Hecate: battery operated flashlights in shapes of torches

MESSAGERS PART 2

Waking up in cabin 14 was amazing as always.

It was so peaceful, so beautiful.

The prisms, the colors, the diamonds.

You were one lucky demigod.

You got out of bed, got changed and–wait. When you got changed you didn't see/feel your necklace around your neck. You're always wearing that necklace. You've never taken it if since– nevermind, that's not important.

What is important is searching for your necklace. On the desks, on the drawers, in them, under to beds, no where was a necklace to be seen.

You even looked everywhere you had been at camp the other day, but still no sight of that beautiful prism.

You sighed deeply, trying to say calm as you walked back into the Iris cabin, over to your two siblings who were also the headcouncelor and lieutenant counselor of the cabin.

They were discussing something when you approached them.

"Hey Butch, Mauve. You got a minute?" You ask them, a regular smile on your face. "Yeah, of course." They smiled back at you.

Before you could even say anything, Mauve spoke up. "Hey, where's your necklace?" She frowned. That's when Butch noticed too. "Yeah, the one with the pirsm. I've never seen you without it."

It was clear that people knew you never took i off, you fidgeted with it when you were nervous, you matched it with every outfit you wore.

"That's what I wanted to talk about, I can't find it anywhere." You tell them. "That sucks." Butch states. "And you're sure you looked everywhere?" You sister then questioned you.

You were quick to nod. "Yes. Everywhere." That earned a hum from your brother. "And it never occured you that it could be.. stolen?"

That caught you of guard. "Stolen?" You echo before letting out a small laugh. "Why would anyone steal that, and who would do such a thing?" You ask them.

"Well.. the Hermes kids have their reputation." Mauve informed you. "But they wouldn't do that. We get along great, you know, since our parents are both messegars." You reminds her.

Butch nodded. "That's completely true, but Connor Stoll, he pranks and steals from everyone, he doesn't care who it is. Could be the president or his closest friends and he'd still do it."

"Connor Stoll? You mean the hot Connor Stoll?" Yeah, Connor was hot, not gonna lie. But stealing your necklace? Not-so-hot.

Your brother frowned. "Uhm.. I mean.. is there another Connor Stoll?" He akwardly asks. Mauve brushed it off. "You should just ask him. Be kind and maybe he'll give it back." She suggested at which you nodded.

"I will, thank you so much." You quickly hugged them– a hug they returned of course –and rushed out to find Connor.

And when you spotted him he indeed wore your necklace. You sighed in relief, happy that it at least wasn't lost for good.

Thank the gods, thank Iris.

You quickly approached him with a smile. "Hey Connor." He stopped what he was doing and turned to you. "Oh, sup."

"I noticed that you're wearing my necklace and I'd be very happy if you could maybe give it back? It's really important to me." You said with a kind smile and a kind tone.

Then Connor pretended to think about it. "Mhmm. No."

Okay you did not expect that.

Your smile never faltered though. "Excuse me?" You asked. The blue eyed boy shrugged. "Well, I kinda like it, so I think I'll keep it to myself, thank you very much."

"Uhm.. I know that it's pretty, I do, but I really need it back. Like I said, it's very important to me and–" "Look, Y/n, spare me the nice talk. I'm keeping it." He interrupted.

"Please." You pleaded him. A grin spread across his lips, taking of the necklace from around his neck. "You want it?" That's when he held it in the air. "Come get it."

You couldn't believe this.

How could people be so cruel?

With a sigh, you tried to get it, making him stumble back at which you lost your balance and steadied it by placing your hands on his shoulder.

Dam was he close.

But nothing happened between you two cause you heard something fall onto the ground behind you, and the shattering sound made your stomach drop.

And Connor Stoll had the audacity to grin. "Oops."

You turned around to see the shattered pieces of your beloved prism necklace.

Gone.

It was gone.

You couldn't cry, Iris children are happy.

When you turned around, you were faced with a grinning son of Hermes.

Don't be mad.

Smile.

Iris children are happy.

Iris children think positive.

Iris children are peaceful.

You slapped him across the face.

Hard.

Every camper around you froze as they saw what happened. Did Iris' daughter just use violence against camp's greatest prankster?

Connor surely was in shock, his cheek burning from the pain. Since when were you so strong? And angry?

Without saying anything, you left, leaving Connor dumbfounded.

Another day, Connor was happy to finally get to talk to his brother again.

Since Travis left for college, Connor had spend every day missing him.

Finally, Travis had a free schedule so they had agreed to call.

Now demigods couldn't have phones.

And since Connor Stoll's good old friend Leo Valdez hadn't invented demigod proof phones yet– yet. –the best option was an Iris message.

So he did just that. But when he got to the "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering." part, the rainbow infront of him faltered, no Travis to be seen

A frown placed on his face. "What the–" he tried again, but the view just faltered again. "Accept my offering?" He repeated.

But a voice echoed trough the room. "Offer declinded."

Offer diclined? What you mean offer declined??

"Wait, no, no, no. This is important, I need to see my brother, you can't just decline it. I'll steal– I mean I'll find more drachmas, I swear." But nothing he said worked, the view dissapeared, and Connor wasn't gonna see his brother again..

You were just peacfully drawing in cabin 14 cause you're good at that, of course, when the door bursted open.

A panicked Connor Stoll walked in. he scanned the place, scanning if there was any Iris kid present, and when his gaze landed on you, he was quick to walk over.

"You. Hey, Y/n. I need you to talk to your mom for me." He spoke to you. Your eyes never left your sketchbook. "I'm sorry, but I'm busy."

He shook his head. "That drawing can wait. For some reason, I can't do the Iris messaging shit anymore and I need you to talk to your mom so she can accept my offers again."

You smiled. "I'm sorry, I can't help you with that." "Yes you can, your mother is in charge of this, and she's kind, so one nice, brightful talk with her and I can Iris message people again. Please, this is important to me." Connor pleaded.

That got your attention, cause you looked up at him. "Important to you like how that necklace was important to me?"

Connor froze. "What?" "I guess it's not that important, then, is it?" You smiled at him.

But for the first time, your smile didn't look so kind and bright anymore, and that made the boy feel weird.

"Y/n, you can't do this to me. This is important, it really is." He told you, but you ignored it. "This is what happens when you disrespect a daughter of Iris. You're the only one to blame."

That's when the son of Hermes realized. "You did this, didn't you." That same smile stayed on your lips. "Took you long enough."

Connor shook his head. "You're cruel." He states.

"I'm righteous." You correct.

"Well trust me when I say that you'll regret it." The curly haired boy warned you.

"Whatever kind of prank you pull on me, it won't change, you'll always be banned from Iris calling." You remind him, and the thought of that made his chest ache.

"Screw you, Y/n. I thought children of Iris were supposed to be nice." Connor said, getting frustrated with you.

"I am nice, just not to you. Not anymore, at least. Now get out of my cabin before Chiron finds out you're breaking the rules, again."

And that's how the daughter of Iris and the son of Hermes became rivals, or enemies.

Whatever you wanna call their hatered for each other.
