Hello! Do you have any fics like “Let’s build a beehive” by GreyHaven?
Thanks for all you do!
Hey! I definitely got off track but here are a few similar fics.
Let's build a beehive by GreyHaven | 25K
Ten years after he last saw Derek, Stiles' life is in ruins and he has nowhere else to turn. He has Derek's address but will he be welcomed?
Not Quite Lost (Not Quite Found) by alocalband | 25K | Explicit
A year after the nogitsune is defeated, Derek is living a quiet life in the mountains above a small town in Colorado.
Then Stiles shows up.
The Sun Comes Crashing In by pinetreekate | 18K | Explicit
Coming back to the moment, the guy says, “So, you got a plan for all your canning? A big family, or lots of friends and co-workers?”
“Not really,” Derek says wryly. “It’s a … new hobby, I guess, and I got a little carried away.” A little, he thinks, that’s a laugh. Hugely carried away, is more like it. “I have way, way more than I know what to do with.”
“Happens,” the guy says, smiling into his eyes. Derek’s heart skips a beat as the eye contact lasts a second longer than it maybe should. “I’m Stiles, by the way,” he says, holding out a hand.
Derek shakes his hand, has to remind himself to let go. “Derek,” he answers, and feels his ears warm up.
Inertia by apocryphal | 21.6K | Mature
The last thing Derek and Cora are expecting to find outside their motel room is a gaunt Stiles Stilinski, lacrosse bag on one shoulder and the weight of the world on the other.
Gracious In Defeat by yodasyoyo | 18.1K | Mature
Stiles needs to get away from Beacon Hills after the end of his senior year. Derek offers to let him stay with him in São Paulo, and they finally act on the tension that has always simmered between them.
The thing is, when it’s time to go home- Stiles doesn’t want to leave.
The Moon’s Gonna Follow Me Home by turningterrific | 82.8K | Explicit
Derek doesn’t want to call the window repair guy. He doesn’t want to sweep up the glass. He’ll inevitably miss a few shards and pull them out of the bottom of his bare feet for weeks.
He doesn’t want to try to make this place feel like home when it isn’t.
Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.
He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.
And then he leaves.
Pretty Melody by thepsychicclam | 30.5K | Explicit
Stiles hasn't seen Derek in six years, so when he shows up at the bar where Stiles works, claiming to be some indie rock star, Stiles can't believe it. Stiles has even more trouble believing that he and Derek are about to have a one night stand.
Soon one night turns into two and three, and seeing Derek causes old wounds to open for Stiles. As Stiles reconnects with Derek, he finds himself painting things he's been avoiding, and he thinks maybe he'll finally start to heal.
hyper heart alone by hito | 34.5K
When Stiles returns home to help his father recover from an injury, he discovers that things have changed somewhat in his absence: Derek is working closely with Stiles’ father, around the house and underfoot, generally annoying and disconcerting Stiles with his presence.
Well, Stiles isn’t sure you could call all the sex they end up having annoying, but he isn’t really willing to call it anything else, either.
The Hollow Moon by thepsychicclam | 180K
It’s the summer after Stiles’ first year of college, and he’s working a crappy job and dealing with nightmares and anxiety - but he’s okay, he swears. He makes it through most days without too much trouble. Then, a certain werewolf comes back into town. Which Stiles doesn’t care about, nope, not at all.
A Californian Werewolf in New York by dancinbutterfly, knight_tracer | 16.3K | Explicit
When Derek finally realizes that there’s nothing left for him in Beacon Hills, he goes back to New York, gets a life, falls in love and finds his home.
there's a ritual for that by Spikedluv | 34.6K
Six months after Derek and Cora leave Beacon Hills, Stiles gets a text from Cora – they’re in trouble and need help. Turns out that Derek is being wooed by a neighboring pack. The Alpha remembers his mother fondly and would love to have a Hale in her pack. Especially if that means she might breed in the ability to change into a full wolf. And she’s not taking ‘no’ for an answer, even when Derek lies and tells her that he already has a mate.
Except Derek didn’t lie. When Stiles shows up to help with the emergency, he inadvertently discovers that he is Derek’s mate. Stiles tries not to think about it (he knows that the mate bond isn’t written in stone, just look at Scott and Allison) as he (and Lydia, and Deaton) research mates and the challenges to the mate bond (because, of course there’s a ritual for that) and try to keep the Alpha of the Palmer pack from discovering Stiles’ connection to Derek.
Home Is Wherever I'm With You by aussiebee | 9.9K | Explicit
Stiles goes backpacking across Europe and eventually settles with his family in Poland to go to uni there. He's trying his hardest to forget the drama of the past, and to get over a certain werewolf he once knew, but it turns out that's not as easy to do as he'd hoped.

Imagine a Vampire Academy Au where stiles is a half human half werewolf, he’s stronger than humans but not as strong as full werewolves and he doesn’t shift. His job is to protect werewolves. Derek is a full werewolf who’s lost his entire family and instead of becoming the next alpha king he goes to work with as a protector, which has never been done before, becoming the best protector out there.
A year ago stiles and Scott (a werewolf), have ran away from school cause they believed their life was in danger. Derek finds them and brings them back to school. Now Stiles has to train with Derek if he wants to become Scott’s protector, if stiles develops a crush on his new mentor that’s not his fault. And they have to find out who in the school wants to harm Scott.

Writing game: post the last line that you wrote and tag someone for every word in the line.
tagged by @wolfspurr! thanks for thinking of me, ladybug!
this is just... not gonna make any sense and it's not even close to the last line i've written of this sterek fic, just the last line i've fiddled with (i'm having a love affair with the magic in it, what can i say)
He pulls and pulls and pulls, his hands growing slick with his own blood, sweat pouring down his back, spitting glass and pink saliva, until he’s yanked the last of it from the ground and the plant stutters, reshapes, and a woman is lying on the ground.
tagging (i'm not gonna do every word 'cause i am a run-on sentence nightmare, as per yooj, but uhhh): @piratefalls, @andavs, @alocalband, @kikiroo, @rosieposiepuddingnpie and anyone else who wants in!
also, uhhh, context below if you're curious (stiles is fine, i swear) :)
He had expected a hallway, some pathway between one place and the next, but instead he’s in a room with rich, heavy curtains, a gold thread glittering through the — no, endless open windows looking out onto a vast — an overstuffed greenhouse, sprawling with — a moth-eaten pool hall, the click of — a stable so dilapidated that he can feel drops of — a corner wreathed in shad — Stiles grabs his chin and pulls it low so Derek’s wide eyes meet his.
He murmurs softly, “How ‘bout I take this one, big guy?” Derek blinks at him. He doesn’t understand the request but he doesn’t understand most of what’s gone on today. In the same tone, Stiles prompts, “You remember what we’re looking for?”
And the second Derek does, there’s a snap that’s not so much sound as it is the rush of air settling and the soles of his boots sink into soft peat. The wet scent of moss and mud and still water overwhelms him and a bout of light-headedness threatens to level him. He takes a step with the express purpose of planting his feet and opens his eyes, not remembering closing them.
Branches crowd them overhead, one mere inches from the top of his head, the gentle rustle of its leaves in the barely noticeable breeze tickling along his every sense. He can’t see the pond or bog or marsh but he can smell it. Instead there’s dirt and trees and petals and seeds and slithering, clomping sounds in heavy underbrush.
“Wh — ere are we?” His voice is croaky, feeling the intimidation his squared shoulders are fighting back.
Stiles steps lightly through the growth. “Archives,” he says, his voice fading as the buzz of a dragonfly drifts closer for a moment, “I thought you were all about silent observation? Only said it right in front of your face.” He stills a moment, tuts, and then looks down at his feet.
He wiggles his bare toes against the soft mud, bends down to roll up his jeans midway up his calves. He sniffs. “Better.”
“What—”
Stiles glances back at him, brow furrowing. “Tell me you weren’t expecting… what? File cabinets? Licenses and bureaucracy? It’s fucking magic, Broody Butt.” He looks up, pulls down something globular and doesn’t hesitate to take a bite out of it.
His hair flutters as though caught in a strong storm, his eyes flare a color Derek doesn’t have in his vocabulary, and his toes dig into the dirt. He tosses the fruit Derek doesn’t recognize over his shoulder.
“That was — ”
“Pure magical energy,” Stiles says with a nod, as though that was what Derek was going to say. “The registry, it’s not too Big Brother or too worrywart about it these days so most mages participate without any civil servants having to knock down their doors. The consequence to using unregistered magic is punitive enough that it’s worth the few hours of answering a fussy librarian’s questions and giving a little light show.”
Derek considers that, ducking under a branch after Stiles. He reaches towards a bush, pulls off a few berries and rolls them between his palms. After a few revolutions, he crushes them flat, but what escapes isn’t juice, it’s steam. He breathes it in, taking it deep into his lungs.
He exhales it out, the smoke forming a scythe in the air in front of him.
Derek watches Stiles for the verdict, which is given in the form of him simply turning and moving on.
For some reason, Derek is hesitant to voice it but — “Your own magic is here then.”
“Are you doubting my love for rule-following, Derek?” Derek opens his mouth because, for once, he hadn’t been seeking to insult Stiles but he grins back over his shoulder, revealing it had been a joke he had meant to share. Oh. They didn’t really do that and he can see the way Stiles’ grin strains realizing it. They’re not him and Laura. They’re never going to be. He still gamely adds, “I might’ve needed my door knocked but, yeah, it’s here.”
“What does it taste like,” Derek asks, not certain why he’s curious, only sure that he is.
Stiles pauses, a thoughtful expression on his face. Derek hadn’t thought he would answer, and that if he did, it would be flippant and throwaway. Instead there’s care and concentration to his words. “Kind of… barren. But not — not empty, more… expectant? The way flat landscape can host tornadoes or lightning storms or pouring rain or a stampede. It’s that second before it rushes in on your tongue. It tastes like raised flesh and hot blood and leaping stomachs.” He blinks, losing the glaze over his eyes. His tongue darts across his lower lip, soothing. “That’s what it tastes like.”
And Derek wants to taste… it.
Stiles swallows, breaking eye contact, plaid overshirt billowing with how hastily he turns. Derek follows carefully after him, cataloguing each body part to reassure himself he has control over them since that had felt precarious in a way he can’t quite articulate.
Stiles burns a feather whose smoke twists into letters, plants an acorn that explodes in a cloud of confetti which rearranges into a map of some podunk water park in Arkansas, and digs at roots that dig back at him.
Derek waves a hand at the gnats buzzing in a cluster too-near his ear. “I thought we only had five minutes?”
Stiles snorts. “Which is why I’ve made us so hard to find,” he jazz hands with his fingers, crouches down and pops a buttercup into his mouth.
Derek slams into him, hard, not having expected the way he’s frozen.
The scent of blood is a sudden and thick aroma surrounding them and Stiles turns, a cheery pink (artificial) blush on his cheeks and gobs of red dripping from his mouth, over his chin and dribbling down his neck. He opens his mouth on glass shards that have the spongy look of petals. Something flickers and it’s so fast Derek can’t catch it, doesn’t know if it was his eyes or his face or just a shadow, but—“It’s her.”
Before Derek can react, Stiles has spun around and is tearing up the entire root system growing the buttercups. He pulls and pulls and pulls, his hands growing slick with his own blood, sweat pouring down his back, spitting glass and pink saliva, until he’s yanked the last of it from the ground and the plant stutters, reshapes, and a woman is lying on the ground.
“What the—”
“Name,” Stiles snarls at her.
She’s carefully getting to her feet from the prone position she’d reformed in. She’s in her thirties maybe, attractive, with short curly hair and red lips and a thick waist. She smooths a hand down the back of her overalls, as though checking for dirt. She shakes a leaf from her boat shoes. “Delia Pritchett.”
Stiles eyes her coldly. “Information.”
She ruffles her hair from the bottom, stands up a little straighter. Her eyes aren’t focused on Stiles, they’re resting somewhere in the middle distance as though the prompt is coming from an unseen source. “Formerly of the Lafferty coven, because who can take that seriously? Current member of the Craven coven.” She half-laughs. “Hard to beat that. Alliterative and established.”
Stiles slices a hand towards her and it slides right through her neck, vanquishing the image as he says, “Enough.”
Derek opens his mouth —
Stiles lets out a depthless yet somehow mostly silent scream. “We don’t even know them! Craven? They’re upstate, rural, why the fuck — why would she — she had no reason to kill her,” his voice has risen to a crashing crescendo and birds Derek hadn’t even heard were there take off from the treetops.
“We need to leave,” Derek says sharply.
Stiles stares at him as though Derek is speaking a different language.
Derek snags him by the bicep, squeezes. “Stiles, we need to go.” Stiles is gazing through him now, his eyes visibly trying to pin down a motive, something that will make sense of the answer he’s gotten, restringing his mental murder board into some semblance of order. Derek shakes him, roughly. “Stiles.” He says it slowly: “You haven’t stopped bleeding.”
Stiles blinks up at him. Opens his hands palm-up. They’re torn to shreds. Blood keeps gushing up to cover his lips. He looks up at Derek again. “We don’t even know her. Our territories are nowhere near one another’s. She had no reas —”
“Stiles. I understand.” He’s still speaking slowly, carefully, trying to make Stiles see past the immediate disappointment to the more immediate life or death situation. “Do you understand that your blood is not clotting?”
He flexes his fingers. “It’s magic,” he says, with a little shrug as though none of this matters, not compared to the reality that a woman they have no reason to know killed someone who meant more to them than words could describe, not to gain anything or settle some score but because she could.
So she did.

Being Human
Derek knows humans are fragile in comparison to wolves. He did have human siblings after all and his mother drilled their vulnerability into him since he was old enough to understand. He knows he has to be gentle around them, knows they are weaker and prone to sickness. Consciously he knows this, but he isn't at all prepared for when Stiles—the only human in the pack—is hurt.
Actually hurt.
Gasping, crying, arms shaking in pain hurt.
He doesn't know what the fuck to do. Because they're alone, trapped, and he can smell the wrongness coming off the human. He can hear his heartbeat fluctuating from weak to sporadic and the sweat and blood and scent of fear blankets the enclosed space so profoundly he thinks he's going to suffocate off the smell.
He siphons away whatever he can but there's still too much. It's barely a bandage over an open artery, like trying to put out a fire with an eyedropper. Even with him pulling away most of the pain the infection has already spread. Every gasping breath and rattling cough has Derek's body twitching in panic.
Human.
The word is a curse, a defect in his world. If Stiles were a wolf he could re-brake and heal the broken rib digging into his lung. The gash on his side would have slowed in it's bleeding if not stopped all together. If he were a wolf there would be no infection or sickness or bloody nose. The bite is a gift.
Derek doesn't know what to do with the frail, weakened human laying with his head on his thigh. He can't even think through the dread and worry and helplessness. Stiles curls in on himself, leans into the hand that is trying to staunch the blood and pull away the pain.
"Not quite how I imagined things would go when I daydreamed about my face down in your lap Sourwolf..." He jokes. Derek almost wants to shake him for it. Stiles is dying and he's joking.
"Don't talk. The pack should be here soon."
"N-Not talk? Have you met me? I'm alone in the dark with Beacon Hill's most eligible grump and you expect me not to make a sex joke?"
"Stiles!" Derek growls and then stops when he hears the awful whistling sound coming from his chest.
"I'm fine. Just a little fever..." Derek wishes it were just a little fever. Wishes he knew the difference between a little fever and this. He doesn't remember his baby sister feeling this warm when his mother said she was sick. He doesn't really remember much of the younger ones... the human ones. Maybe he'd be more helpful if he did...
"Stop it." Stiles chastise. "You keep frowning like that and you're eyebrows will grow together." Derek hates that he does this... Hates that he's the one in pain and he's still trying to lighten Derek's mood. Hates that he's smiling at him through a grimace, that he's looking at him like he's worth something when he knows he isn't.
"I'm okay Der." Stiles says gently. "You k-know you can't actually get rid of me right? I've sorta got a pool going with the pack. How long it'll take till I can get you to say you love me. It's gotta be unironically of course. Lydia's rules." Derek feels his heartbeat tick up at that and Stiles smiles. "I say this year, Scott gave you three. But I know I'm your favorite so it shouldn't be hard."
"Stop moving." He begs when Stiles turns onto his back to look up at him.
"Better view."
"Stiles!" Stubborn! Humans were stubborn. Weak and frail and as stubborn as they came.
"You're beautiful." Stiles murmurs and Derek feels his breath catch in his throat. "Maybe that's wrong to say to a guy huh? But like, I always thought it. Y-Your eyes. I like looking at them. Even when you go all grumpy and broody and flash red at me, they're still beautiful."
Derek feels Stiles' body shake with another jolt of pain and maybe, he's the one crying now. "You gotta promise me something Der, okay? P-Please. You gotta take care of my dad."
"Don't-"
"Would you just listen? I love Scott, I trust him with my life. He's my brother when it comes down to it but he's pretty freaking useless when he's got a new girlfriend with him and dad's going to be bad for a while. He'll drink. A lot... or worse he'll just jump head first into any job they throw at him. P-Please just watch over him for me?." Derek feels himself nodding and Stiles' pained smile widens.
"You know you've always been my alpha right?" Derek startles at that. "Like I said, I love Scott and I love the pack. I'd do anything for any one of you but... since the beginning. Since the start, you've always been my alpha."
"Stiles-"
"Just take care of dad. Scott will be okay, Lydia might need you more than she lets on. And Isaac says he doesn't want anything to do with you but it's not true. I-It's not. If anything he wants you to be proud of him. So call him okay? He'd be on the next flight home, he'd be back here at your side the second he sees your name light up. He kept the same number. Explain it to him. Tell him why you sent him away. N-Not for you, for him. He thinks you hate him, don't let him think it anymore."
Derek can't understand. Can't begin to make sense of this human. This small, 145 pound, eighteen year old looking up at him with all the tranquility and calmness of a condemned man. He's no longer scared. Fear has been replaced with a sense of serenity and its worse! Far worse than the terror. Derek presses harder onto the bleeding wound, chokes on the sob that wants to wrench it's way out of his throat when he hears it... The low howl a mile off.
He covers Stiles' ears and howls back, feeling relief and hope and looking at those confused brown eyes that haven't stopped watching him since they ended up in this hell hole.
"D-Der?"
"I love you." He says, because he does. Because he's never not cared for this ridiculous human being. He had been his headache, his friend, his anchor... The one who has protected him, saved him, given him a family when he never thought he deserved it. The resilient, caring little human that looked at him like he meant something. Like he was worthy of meaning something.
Resilient and stubborn and caring and selfless and fragile... And Derek wishes he were half the human Stiles is.

hey do you have any werewolf courting fic recs for like sterek or any mlm pairing? i love those. 🥺🥺
Hi! I only do recs for sterek fics, so here you go
The Baddest Motherfucker In the Valley by ShieldOfIron
It had started weeks ago. At first, they’d thought it was a dog or a cat. Stiles just helped his dad clean the rabbits off the porch. Next came the deer. That wasn’t so bad, though Stiles still refused to eat the meat that his dad had brought back from the butcher. Then came a mountain lion. A grizzly fucking bear.
The Courting Dilemmas of a Spark and a Werewolf Prince by greenleaf
Talia smiled calmly. “I am well aware that you are not a werewolf, my darling, but I thought this would be the best reading material for you to use as reference. After all, how would you know how to act during a courting ritual if you do not study it?” “But I don’t… I’m not…” Stiles narrowed his eyes at her. “Are you setting me up with someone?” Talia rolled her eyes at him. “Don’t be obtuse, my darling. Why would I set you up with someone –” “Oh, well, that’s good, because–” “–when I have a son who is already perfectly enamored with you?”
Camping & Bonding by Takara_Phoenix
Stiles thinks the pack should go camping, as a bonding exercise. Much to his surprise, Derek agrees with his plan. So the pack goes off into the mountains to camp together. Only after assigning the tents does Stiles question if it really was that good of an idea to share a tent with his Alpha, considering the giant crush he has on Derek…
All I Do (Is Sit And Think About You) by Noname109
The three times Stiles was oblivious, and the one time he figured it out. Or how Stiles figures out how to court a werewolf unintentionally.
be everything that you need by EvanesDust
[excerpt] Stiles could feel Derek's gaze on him. It was like a physical touch, and when he looked over his shoulder, he smirked. Derek's eyes were dark, flared with heat. "See something you like?" Stiles asked, a teasing lilt to his voice. Derek pressed against his back, kissing his shoulder before turning Stiles in his arms. "You know I do."
Enamor Me by crossroadswrite
In which Derek sneakily woos Stiles and doesn't expect him to notice. He keeps catching himself doing these little things and he doesn’t know why. Except that’s a complete lie. He knows exactly what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. He likes Stiles. For whatever reason he likes him. Like, wants to be the best version of himself he possibly can because that’s what Stiles deserves likes him.
how to court a werewolf by graveltotempo
Stiles accidentally begins a courtship with Derek. Wary at first, the werewolf accepts, and Stiles ticks off all the boxes of a traditional Hale werewolf courting - oblivious to the whole thing. Because of course he is. Peter thinks the entire thing is hilarious. Cora thinks that they deserve each other. (spoiler alert: they do)
you are an obsession (i am your possession) by EvanesDust
Once Derek catches that tantalizing scent, he can’t stay away. Stiles. Derek’s completely enthralled by him. Obsessed. But all he can do is stand in the shadows, watching and waiting. Until he can make Stiles his, that is. And when that happens, Derek will never let him go.
Hung The Moon by BurnItAllClean (nrnyx)
Slowly Stiles got control of himself again. His heart calmed. His breathing evened out. The anger was gone. In its place, a bone-deep weariness settled. He couldn’t do this. He wouldn’t survive this.
Like any other day by Gotta_seduce_the_Rainbow
Everything’s a bit shit. Not only couldn’t Stiles afford to go to college right after high school, he also lost his best friend to the cool kids. Him and Scotty hadn’t been talking for a while, and now Scott had left Beacon Hills with the rest of those lucky bastards. With all their savings spent on his dead mother’s medical bills, Stiles is forced to stay behind and work in a shitty store by a shitty gas station. Life crawls by, so does the first summer fresh out of high school, when none other turns up at the gas station than Derek Hale. Derek Hale, who had been gone for about 15 years after his family died in that fire, only manages to ask Stiles for a book recommendation, before he is already arrested for murder. After that spectacular homecoming he is sure to be the talk of the town. This story is set in a canon divergence alternative universe, where Stiles never found out about werewolves. Now that Derek is back in town, he plans on courting clueless Stiles since they are mates. The way it turned out, it's mostly fluff and smut and slice of life, because I wanted to give these characters some peace (and write in some kinks of mine).
How (Not) to Court a Spark by Michicant123, wanderingeyre
Derek spent the past three months planning, agonizing, and coming to a conclusion. His mom was progressive about many things but she was a traditionalist about courting. She drilled it into all of her children that finding someone you could imagine standing beside in a dangerous world was a precious discovery, especially for an Alpha. Derek wants to make choices that would make his mother proud. It took him a long time to become an Alpha that was even a quarter of what his mother had been. So much of that was because Stiles never gave up on him. It was time Derek courted Stiles Stilinski.
Deer For My Dear by TheSleepyOne
Stiles was not mad at Derek per say. It was hard to be mad at the wolf now that he was getting the help he needed. Derek really does try his best these days. No, Stiles wasn't mad. He was just disappointed.
It's Called Courting by AMatchInWater
Stiles has a crush on Derek and refuses to believe it could be reciprocated….meanwhile Derek has been courting him this whole time.
5 times Derek gave Stiles a dead animal + 1 time Derek gave Stiles a normal gift by Warlock_Nerd
Stiles has been finding dead animals all around his house and is so confused. It isn't until later does he realise why this is happening and who is doing it.
Resistance
How dare the wolf taste those lips, hold him, panting and soft, trembling and eager, so close to his chest? How dare he? Jordan could not move, even if he wanted to. The slick sounds of their kiss, of tongues sliding softly against one another, bitten-off moans, and muffled mewls interspersed with crackling fire — it was hell for him. Stiles was everything Jordan dreamed he would be in a moment like this — he moved just right, arched so beautifully, bared his throat, and grabbed the hand that pressed to his stomach, keeping it there. His smell seeped across the tent, sweeter than ever before and deadly because of it. Jordan’s eyes stung, his fists clenching the cold sheets. Yet, he could not even take a proper breath, for everything smelled of him. For three years, Jordan told himself to resist. Three years of catching Stiles only for the omega to seep from his fingers. Years without ever holding his waist like Jordan wanted to. A month was all it took for Stiles to give it to the wolf.
Treasure
"I know you don’t trust me,” Derek grunted. When Stiles inhaled to retort, Derek caught his chin and pressed a finger against his lips, making the boy freeze in place, eyes impossibly wide. “Don’t argue. I expected it. Wolves don’t trust easily, too. I just wanted you to know that… I’m sorry. I was selfish and didn’t see what was in front of me. You don’t need to worry. I’ll take care of everything.” It was a thought that grew in his mind, spread to his heart and took root there, reincorporating into a deep desire and a vital need. Derek will take care of him and his little pup, he’ll bring the hearts of his enemies and put them at the boy’s feet. He’ll court and he’ll conquer.
your fangs against my skin (the sound of your bones)
This was it, then, huh? It was that easy for Derek to invite someone to his den. Someone other than Stiles. He healed the wolf. Stiles killed his tormentor, mended his blood and bones, and let him sleep beside him. But none of it was enough. He wasn’t a spark, after all, but a witch — evil and alone, locked up in his tower. You know Sterek has been frequently 'cancelled' and attacked for basically being the most popular ship in the TW world, right?
Because of the age gap between them, right? Well, I have to complain about it, because it really pisses me off that they're discarding the beautiful, slow-burning love story that exists between Stiles and Derek in CANON. Because damn it, they liked each other.
It bothers me that they tarnish Sterek's image for things like being a "pedo" ship when NO, they're not. They're trying to lump us all into a "sick shipper" category.
If we're being honest, Sterek has probably been the story with the most backstory, where we've seen how each season has seen the closeness between Stiles and Derek grow, where they've gone from 'hating each other and having to deal with each other because of Scott' to genuinely caring for each other to the point where Derek would take a bullet for Stiles or Stiles would go against the entire FBI to protect and get Derek out of whatever mess he was in.
They care deeply and genuinely for each other, so much so that Derek preserved and fixed Stiles' Jeep, keeping it in his garage as a sort of memento or anchor for him.
It bothers me so much that they talk shit about Sterek when this couple exists:
sorry but parrish/lydia was a canon pairing between a teenager and an ADULT and if that wasn't enough, an adult from the sheriff's department.
Why aren't people talking about this more? Why are they attacking Sterek instead? Sterek: a couple that wasn't canon during the show's run, and we only got confirmation of feelings for each other through the actors and through obvious hints in the show. But directly, it was never a canon couple between a teenager and an adult guy. They were together.
I put the adult that way because Derek's age was never confirmed as such. At the beginning of the series, Stiles says Derek is only a couple of years older than him and Scott. So at the beginning of the series, Derek was between 18 and 19 years old. But later on, they address the fire, so they change the age again, but they never say exactly how old he is, so canonically Derek could be 2 to 5 years older than Stiles. You choose what age gap to give them.
While Lydia, about 17, and Jordan Parish, over 20, are a CANON couple.
Anyway, hypocrisy and homophobia, right?
But there is a VERY important theme between the Derek/Stiles relationship, which if you ask me made the possibility of a relationship between the two of them impossible while Stiles was still a high school student and perhaps only when Stiles was older could something exist between them.
The existence of this damn bitch and what she did to Derek.
I hate her as much as you do, and it disgusts me to have to watch Teenage Derek with her.
But it's important to what I wanted to say; it's why I think Derek repressed his feelings for Stiles.
According to the Teen Wolf book, Kate was Derek's substitute swim teacher, who used certain hormones and scents to attract the teenage Derek to her. YES, that was not only a relationship rife with manipulation, power imbalances, and pedophilia, but she also ended up orchestrating the murder of Derek's family at a moment of vulnerability for Derek because Paige's death hadn't happened long before.
We all know Derek blames himself for the death of his family, and he hates Kate. He knows what she did to him. He knows he was manipulated by an older woman and that he fell for her.
Derek has serious trust and self-confidence issues.
He doesn't believe he's worthy of love or peace.
His anchor until Season 2 was anger because his life was infested with anger/hate/rage.
So he sees himself as something bad, something that hurts, someone who destroys what he loves. He's a victim of sexual abuse, even though he doesn't admit it.
But Stiles became that little glimmer of light annoying, but a light in his dark life filled with negative things. Stiles earned his trust. Stiles fought every step of the way and broke down that wall Derek built around himself to keep people away from him, because trust means giving someone the power to hurt you. Oh well, Derek's mind worked that way. Unbeknownst to him, Stiles earned that trust.
And that's where we have this scene.
This is where Derek lets us see how important Stiles has become to him, Stiles became his anchor.
At this point, it's undeniable that Derek already has feelings for Stiles. He trusts Stiles blindly. But then, why didn't Derek do anything to have Stiles? Because Derek is a victim of sexual abuse by a woman who took advantage of him in high school. And Derek never dealt with that trauma, or we were never shown to have it that way.
Derek dates women, of course—Jennifer (who also manipulated him), Braeden, etc.—whose relationships didn't end well or were never serious.
But not with Stiles, because Stiles is like that extremely important thing where he can't ruin that connection they have, he can't taint or sully this relationship he has with Stiles. It's too important to Derek. Plus, the untreated traumas surrounding his abuser are a clear impediment to starting something real, something serious. And everything seems to indicate that Stiles is THAT person his unconscious heart has chosen.
That is, to start any romantic relationship with Stiles, Derek has to face all of his demons, all of his traumas first, in order to give Stiles what he believes Stiles deserves.
Kate ruined Derek's heart and mind a lot, plus Derek already had a wounded and bleeding heart since Paige.
So, a relationship as such didn't exist in the series between S/D, and it was quite unlikely that it would, but the feelings were always there.
That's why I don't understand why they keep attacking a couple who has SO MUCH backstory, and who if they ever dated, it was definitely when they were already adults and able to deal with their own issues.
The sheriff's line about the jeep and Derek always makes me think that the sheriff was always aware and noticed everything. He never disapproved; on the contrary, he supported them, because he knows there's no one who deserves each other more than those two. It was also a clear confirmation that Derek always had feelings for Stiles, complicated feelings he didn't know how to address, but whose feelings led him to treasure and fix Stiles's jeep.

A little preview of a soft, getting together Sterek fic I'm writing:
--
Scott laughs. “That’s not what I’m saying, dude. It’s just an observation. You have lots of friends and any of them would be down to fill your time while you pine for me. But, for like the last month, you never call Lydia or Isaac or Danny or anyone else, it’s always Derek.”
“And? What’s your point, Scotty? You worried my Alpha loyalties are tilting in his favor?” Stiles teases. It’s really not an issue they have. Scott’s got his betas and Derek’s got his, and Stiles happily plays for both teams.
“No.” Scott throws a pretzel at him from his little bowl of study snacks. “Actually, I was suggesting that maybe you’re developing other loyalties to Derek.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You’re attracted to him, right?”
“Yeah.” Stiles shrugs. This isn’t news to anyone. He’s been attracted to Derek since he first saw him. What of it?
“And you like spending time with him.”
“Yes, that’s why you and I are having this inane conversation.”
“And you guys tend to hang out one-on-one.”
“Not always.”
“Lately?”
“Okay, most of the time, lately.”
Scott just raises his eyebrows at Stiles. “Dude,” he says, when Stiles just stands there, looking back at him. “You like him!”
Stiles frowns. “I know.”
“No, like, you’re into him. You have feelings for him.”
“I know.”
“You know?”
“Yes, I know! Why would you think I don’t know that? They’re my feelings.”
“How long have you known?”
“How long have you known?”

Coming soon to Ao3!

You know how Eli looks like Stiles. Well I have a headcanon and it is not that Stiles got pregnant through magic.
My headcanon is simply that Eli’s mom looked a lot like Stiles, which could be considered a little mundane until you consider the comedy involved with a stepdad Stiles and Eli being out together in public.
People assume Stiles is Eli’s biological father until one of them corrects said person. I want it to be Eli in which case he can go two ways (both are hilarious)
1. Eli jokes about his dad having a type.
2. Eli jokes about how he always knew his dad and Stiles would get together because look at him (Eli gestures to his own face and then to Stiles) it wasn’t rocket science to figure out the old man was a little hung up on Stiles.
I just think the implications are hilarious. Stiles would never feel insecure ever. If anyone asks him how he remains so secure in his relationship with Derek all he would have to do is gesture to Eli.
All I’m saying is it takes a special type of pining to have a son that looks and acts scarily similar to this one high schooler who you went through multiple brushes with death with, saved their life, had them save your life, and shared many very emotionally charged (possibly tender) moments with.

can you imagine if like sterek break up for some stupid reason, they're young -stiles 18 and derek 22-, and DUMB, and the break up was the worst thing to ever happen to either of them but what's done is done, one of them moves out of state, they live completely separate lives, but then 11, 12, 13 years down the line they run into each other and- stiles has a kid. a son or a daughter. and he's separated from the other parent, and derek and stiles hardly even got back in contact each other for a whole day but stiles is here, and he's still so beautiful, still the same only a little more mature, and very very interested in keeping contact with derek and holy crap derek finally has stiles back and hes a father now.
it doesn't matter that it's the first time derek's seen stiles in so many years, it doesn't matter that derek has to get to know stiles all over again, it doesn't matter that there's so much time between before and now, none of that matters.
derek remembers so many things about stiles still; the secret ticklish spot behind stiles' neck, the anniversary of his mother's death, the song his grandfather used to sing to him as a lullaby when stiles' mother passed and he had to move in with his grandparents until john got himself back together again.
he remembers how certain touches could make stiles moan and sigh, silent laughter or cry.
derek is putting the past behind them and he refuses anything less than being in stiles' life 100% so that means derek and stiles are getting back together and that also means derek is suddenly a dad to a whole child when he was single and childless just the other day.
a couple of days later he meets the kid and the kids excited to meet someone new - especially someone from stiles' past - and the kid is bouncy, loud, polite but also kind of an asshole in the honest way kids can be and all derek can think is he can't believe he's a dad to the greatest kid in the world.
('derek,' cora patiently says after derek gets done bragging about something his kid did, 'this is only the third time you and stiles have seen each other. you haven't even gone out on a date. you just met the kid. you cant start claiming the child as your own yet.'
'watch me.')
((later on down the line when they're actually dating, cora tells stiles about dereks easy acceptance so early on in the relationship and stiles is in no way creeped out or surprised by this. he knows Derek Hale, ok. it has him falling in love even deeper.))

Eli: So, how did you and Dad get together again?
Stiles: Your dad stalked me until I got fed up.
Eli: ...What?
Stiles: No, no, he was just being... very protective and... uh... you know.
Derek: I did not stalk you.
Stiles: You did.
Derek: I was making sure you didn't die.
Stiles: By showing up at my house uninvited every night and watching me sleep?
Derek: I was keeping him safe.
Stiles: That's the definition of stalking.
Eli: wow.

Alright, some stiles x witch!longtimebestfriend!reader headcanons
(reader should be GN, though if I make a mistake let me know!)
(that title is long af)
- You guys had been together from diapers, your mothers having been friends for years.
- And once Scott was in the mix, what a trio you were. They were your boys, your best friends.
- When they got picked on, whether for Scott’s asthma or Stiles’ fast talking, you were there to back them up, glaring at their bullies with your hands on your hips.
- Stiles thinks he started to crush on you from then on, and Scott knows he did.
- On the night of Scott’s turning, you had been at home, working on an art piece. Your phone lit up from a text from Stiles, urging you to open your window.
- This lanky guy fell through said window, mind racing as he relayed everything they had seen.
- You sat and listened to him for most of the night. His ramblings were usually ignored or met with some resistance from others, but never you.
- When Scott’s turning began to bring the supernatural to light in Beacon Hills, your own powers began to surface.
- You had been sitting in English class, mindlessly doodling while trying your best to stay focused. Stiles and Scott sat behind you, whispering about their crazy nights, and what to do about Derek.
- Your eyes began to burn, your head pounding. Everyone in the room is silent, but you can hear voices across the campus in your mind.
- Stiles notices. Of course he does, he knows everything about you. His hand reaches forward to touch your shoulder, calling your name softly.
- Before he can touch you, you let out a pained cry, the entire class turning to stare.
- Both the boys stand up and quickly rush you out of the room, Scott trying his best to let the teacher know that you’re going to the nurse.
- They bring you to the locker rooms, your hands gripping your hair as you continue to hear the innermost thoughts of the teens of Beacon Hills.
- Stiles places you on the ground, turning to Scott and asking him to call his mom.
- The poor boy is terrified, rubbing his hands up and down your arms.
- “Come on, Sparks. Talk to me.”
- The nickname came from the time you almost lit your picnic blanket on fire, trying to light candles for a nighttime picnic with them both.
- You stare at him, trying desperately to hear him.
- “S-Stiles..”
- “I’m right here, promise.”
- You try to count the moles on his face, not that you needed to. You knew the number.
- When his voice entered your mind, it was soft, almost like a wave crashing over you.
- Please be okay, please be okay, i’m here, i’m here Y/N, you’re gonna be okay..
- Hearing the panic rising in his mind, your reached out and gripped his hand, tugging him to sit next to you.
- The boy flailed alittle, before wrapping you in his arms and rocking you slowly.
- When you began to hear less and less, you started explaining what had happened, your eyes trying to focus on his.
- “What the hell is going on, Stiles..”
- He held your face gently, rubbing his thumb over your cheekbone.
- “I promise you, I will help you figure it out. You’ve got me, and Scott, and we’re gonna be right here.”
- You leaned into his touch before burying your head into his neck, breathing in his cologne and gripping his flannel.
- If you could have seen his face, you’d see how unbelievably excited he was to have you cuddled up with him, his hands shaking lightly as he rubbed your back.
- Whatever journey you were going to go on, he would be with you all the way.
I hope you enjoyed, if you want me to continue this please let me know!

Stiles woke up to Derek lazily sucking kisses to the back of his neck. He hummed and scooted backwards, closer to Derek.
"Good morning, Der, happy birthday," he murmured, reaching a hand back to pat Derek’s side.
"Thank you, love," Derek whispered, tucking his face into Stiles' neck and nuzzling his nose.
Stiles started pulling away, giggling at Derek’s annoyed grumbles, and said, "I wanna give you your present, babe."
"Later," Derek frowned, pulling on Stiles' hand when he got to his feet beside the bed.
"No, now. Wanna be just us when I give it to you," Stiles whispered, leaning down to press a kiss to Derek's lips.
Derek quirked an eyebrow at Stiles who immediately blushed and flailed, slapping the back of his hand against Derek’s chest. "Not like that, pervert."
Derek chuckled and flopped on his belly and Stiles took that as his queue to go get the present. He ran to the attic of the rebuilt Hale house and pulled out the huge box he had hidden there.
Huffing, he carried it downstairs. He was so nervous that his heartbeat had to be deafeing to Derek. He dropped the box beside Derek woth a groan, tentatively taking a seat next to it as Derek sat himself up.
"May I?" Derek asked, gesturing at the box. Stiles nodded, chewing his lips anxiously, and watched as Derek carefully pulled the top off.
The first thing he pulled out was a ragged looking knitted blanket. With a strangled gasp, Derek brought it to his face and buried his nose in the fabric, greedily inhaling the scent.
"What - how?" Derek whimpered, red eyes peeking from behind the blanket.
"I had a witch cast a spell on it so that the smell would never fade," Stiles replied.
Derek nodded and composed himself a little, wrapping the blanket around his shoulders before digging back into the box.
Next, he took out a vintage looking watch, the edges of the leather strap looking a bit burnt. He immediately put it on his wrist, offering his hand to Stiles to secure it wordlessly.
He then removed a small wooden rattle, hand carved designs running down the hand. At this point, his eyes had filled up with tears.
He took a few calming breaths before pulling out a leather bound book. He looked questioningly at Stiles who whispered, "Open it."
Derek slowly opened the book as if afraid to find its contents. As soon as his eyes fell on the first page, the tears fell free, rapidly dripping down his face. He hastily turned from page to page, hand reverently grazing over all of them. Finally, anguished, heaving sobs burst out of Derek’s chest as he took in the pictures. A young Talia, holding baby Derek in her arms. Laura pushing toddler Derek on the swing. His grandma and grandpa in the middle of a slow dance. His parents kissing on their wedding day. All of the Hales with their extended families together on Christmas, dressed in matching pyjamas on the insistence of Derek’s father.
Stiles couldn't keep in his own tears at the sight of Derek and he silently cried. Derek carefully put the book aside after a while and pulled Stiles into his lap, hiding his face in Stiles' neck. "Thank you, thank you, thank you," Derek murmured against his skin, pressing kisses every so often.
"There are more things in the attic. I took whatever the police had taken that night and took it to a witch to be restored. She even magicked some things from scent memory, things that couldnt be saved. There are copies for Peter and Cora too. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but-"
"Stiles, you have given me a piece of my family back. You don't have to apologize, for anything," Derek whispered fiercely, still scenting his neck. He pulled back from the hug and unwrapped the blanket from around his shoulders to put around Stiles'. "I love you, baby. You can't imagine how happy I am."
With a teary smile, Stiles flung himself into Derek's arms again. "I love you too, Derek, so much."

I don’t know why I’m equating stiles to penguins and crows but stiles gives really pretty and super shiny rocks to his favourite people.
Maybe it stemmed from collecting rocks with his mother — “See, Stiles there are stars in the sea”— because they both loved looking at stars together so now they can carry stars around with them. (Stiles buried his best rock with his mother)
Stiles only clued into his feeling about Derek after the third time he had given him a rock.
The first time had been the day after Derek had killed Peter. Stiles knew what it was like to bury a family member. It took him nearly the whole day to find the perfect rock, or else he would have given it over sooner. Stiles awkwardly dropped it in his open palm stammering out broken sentences — “I like rocks- me and my mom - when she - it’s a good rock” — Derek looked very confused and frustrated. (He was thinking about the collection of rocks he had seen on stiles bookshelf when he was a fugitive.)
Stiles tried to defend his rock choice while also trying to explain why he gave it to Derek. It made for a very uncomfortable 4 minutes. Stiles gave up and just told Derek he could keep the rock or throw it away or fucking bury it with Peter. That he wouldn’t care what Derek did with the rock (lie). And with that he stormed away.
Unbeknownst to him, Derek heard the lie and kept the rock. He wasn’t going to at first, and had tried to just drop the rock but his hand wouldn’t uncurl from around the stone. Derek had generally understood that stiles had been trying to comfort him, and this rock was his confusing way of doing that.
He only truly understood after seeing the headstones that read Claudia Stilinski when going to deliver flowers to his families grave.
It was the first piece of kindness he had received since Laura died. So he couldn’t bring himself to get rid of it.
—————
The second time stiles had brought Derek a rock was a week after holding Derek up in the swimming pool. Stiles had tried going down to the lake the day after swimming pool but couldn’t bring himself close to the edge. He had cried for hours after, scared that he’d never be able to get back in the water again. He wouldn’t be able to look for rocks and pretend his mother was still with him. Pretend that she was the one sending him the stars in the “sea”.
So after a week of going back to the lake and trying, he had succeeded in getting about knees deep. While celebrating Stiles stepped on a rock. Well two rocks. He had finished them out of the lake after he was done cursing. Loving how cool the rocks looked he went to make his way home. he had planned on giving the second less shiner rock to Scott so they could match. But he saw Derek on his way home and felt compelled to give it to him instead.
Still wet from the lake stiles walked up to Derek and asked him to hold out his palm. There was far less hesitance, glaring, and arguing than the first time stiles had demanded that.
Without even realizing it, Stiles had given Derek the rock he was going to keep. He was going to ask for it back and switch out the rocks but the look on Derek’s face stopped him. He looked more open and relaxed than stiles had even seen him, more vulnerable. There was a look of wonder in Derek eyes, as he fiddled with the stone.
Stiles no longer cared that about having the less shiny stone. In fact he was completely okay with not having it. When Derek realized stiles was staring with his mouth totally not open, he went right back to a closed expression. Words immediately begin spilling out of stiles mouth, without his permission.
—“ I couldn’t get in the water, after… - the lake, it’s … It’s a good rock, super shiny and it’s got a smooth texture. It’s kinda red like your eyes.” —
He even flipped his own hand and showed Derek his rock. “We’re matching, kinda. Well we were the only two in the water that night” He trailed off again before reiterating that Derek could just throw out the rock but Derek thanks him in the middle.
Derek walks him out of the preserve towards his car and reminded Stiles to be careful as there was still a kanima and argents on the lose.
——
The third time Stiles give Derek a rock is the night of his kidnapping. And technically Erica and Boyd’s. It was also the night he fully joined the hale pack, by protecting Boyd and Erica from hunters. The night he thought he was going to die.
Instead of leaving Erica and Boyd tied up, the hunter dragged them to the woods. They were planning on having a proper hunt. It was only by sheer luck that the three of them got away. Well that and the fact that the hunter were stupid enough to underestimate very desperate and pissed off Stiles. The fact that he had grown up in beacon hills and the hunter hadn’t was an added bonus.
During the fight stiles had tripped and and caught a stone in his hand. He was still holding it when he slammed his jeep through a wall. He only gave it to Derek after everyone else passed out for the night.
Stiles was sitting on a very uncomfortable chair in the train deport. However, that wasn’t enough to stop him from getting lost in his head. Vaguely watching as the rest of the pack slept in a pile. Stiles only came back to himself after Derek sat down beside him. The warmth of the werewolf’s arm around his shoulder allowed him to release the tension his body.
Stiles curled into Derek as sobs shook his body, not caring at pretending to be okay at the current moment. Derek only held him tighter, nearly pulling stiles into his lap.
When stiles had calmed down he grabbed one of Derek’s hand and gave him the rock. He heard a hum of confusion, one that prompted a sudden laugher.
“I thought I was going to die tonight.”
At his confession, Derek went still. Stiles stumbled through explaining what had happened that night. Derek just held him through it. He felt a little insecure when he finished. Over both the story and the ugly rock.
Derek just dropped his face into the crook of stiles neck and breathed out a thank you and that was that.
They stayed like that for what felt like hours. Stiles didn’t feel need to move. Moreover he didn’t want to. Which was a revelation in of itself. He would pay more attention to the maybe crush in morning, for now he was safe to sleep.
A few weeks later after everything calmed down and the pack is having a movie night, he give a rock to each member if the pack. Derek leaves the room for a second before returning. Later on that evening he goes to grab his sweater from Dereks room. He sees his three little rocks, now four. He absolutely falls in love with Derek in that moment. He didn’t know that Derek kept any of this rocks, but seeing the proof made him really happy.
Lydia makes a joke about stiles being a penguin. Stiles squawked in offense, of both himself and penguins. Claiming that giving rocks as a way of courting someone is perfectly valid. But that he wasn’t a penguin so it doesn’t count. She just gives him a knowing look.
This is what finally clues Derek in. His wolf already knew and was laughing at him.
Derek had wanted to give stiles back a rock when he confessed to him or on their first date or something romantic. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Instead it happened after an exhausting fight with a troll. Stiles had stormed up to Derek about to lay into him for his self sacrificing tendencies. Derek thought stiles still looked like the most beautiful thing he had even seen. Even covered in gore.
So he plucked one of stiles waving hands out of the air and gave him the stone that had been in his pocket for far to long.
Like a switch of their roles, Stiles stared at the rock in quiet awe for a minute, while Derek stood insecure. Stiles let out a small giggle, quite happily whispered “he got me a rock, you got me a rock!!” And preceded to haul Derek by the shirt and kiss him.
Stiles goes around excitedly telling everyone that derek gave him a rock. He also used it in an argument with dad over their relationship.
They exchanged rocks and well as rings in their wedding. One of their wedding cake toppers were penguins.
Now that I’ve finished writing this all out I’m realizing that this could also be a creature stiles au.

"In Which Laura Is Never Going To Let Derek Live This Down" (T) by Omimouse | 1,587 | A soulmate fic where you’ve got “Help! Save me!” on your wrist. So you do the martial arts classes, and ROTC, and get a concealed carry permit, you are READY, you are SO up for this… and then one day you’re at a friend’s house, and someone comes pounding down the stairs laughing and ducks behind you and goes “Help! Save me!” and that’s how you find out your soulmate was escaping a tickle fight.
"Unmapped" 🔒 (E) by Jerakeen | 11,357 | "I don't think anyone would choose not having a Guide," Scott reasons calmly. Stiles knows that. Of course he does. His mother was a Guide. His father's a Sentinel. His best friend is a Sentinel. It's just that this guy coming into their town like he's somehow better than the whole department all by himself... it rubs him the wrong way. Stiles is protective of the people he loves, and the Beacon Hills Sheriff's Department is like the headquarters for Stiles' Favorite People Ever. "I'm just saying," Stiles says. "You guys could've handled this without whatshisface and his tight pants."
"You Fit Me Better" 🔒 (NR) by Jerakeen | 5,149 | It's only been eight months since he started having the dreams, but he's already cracking. He's heard of people living thirty, forty years with them, unable to find the one, complete the bond.... He doesn't know if he could do it. The euphoric, in-love feeling that used to carry into his day now hurts. It feels like someone's ripping it out of his chest every morning and he's bleeding, all day, until he's asleep again and he is there.
"Cloaked in Gold" (E) by kaistrex | 57,859 | When son of the Alpha, Derek Hale, ends up in his bed in heat, Stiles decides to use it to his advantage and secure the Bite for his sick stepbrother. As he and his family are welcomed into the Hale pack, Stiles grows closer to Derek than he'd ever dreamed he'd get, but with the fanged Soulbite of a born wolf on Derek's neck, he knows he's just setting himself up for heartbreak. Derek has a Soulmate out there, and it definitely isn't Stiles.
"Everything's Made to be Broken" (M) by weathervaanes | 7,228 | Everybody gets a name, inscribed in a color over the left side of their chest. It seems like a good system, guaranteeing that there will be someone who loves you, who you will get to love in return for years to come. The only problem is that that's not actually how it always works out.
"Worth Waiting For" 🔒 (T) by yodasyoyo | 3,878 | Stiles slumps further in his desk chair, and stares disconsolately out of his bedroom window. Perhaps he should be celebrating. After all, this afternoon a soulmark appeared on his wrist revealing the name of his soulmate. He has a soulmate. Fuck. He scrubs one hand across his face. This is a disaster.
"love is war, but sometimes you win" (T) by Jmeelee | 5,903 | Stiles spares Derek a glance, pitying smile falling short of shrewd, contemplative eyes that sparkle when they catch the dappled sunlight. “The universe engraves a name on our skin, my friend. If it was meant to be private, we’d have the name on our ass.” Derek bristles. They are not friends—at least, not yet. At the rate they’re going, probably never. “I’m trying to protect my best friend, dude. Questions aren’t illegal.”
"Maybe" 🔒 (E) by loserchildhotpants | 11,513 | Then Professor Hagen partnered them for some sort of comparative discussion, and when they ran out of things to say, and Stiles was quite sure this was the only circumstance in which Derek would even acknowledge his existence, he awkwardly asked, “Hey, so… uhm… could I… go down on you after class?”
"third time's the charm" 🔒 (T) by stilinski | 4,900 | Stiles stares at the marks, twisting his arm to look at Lydia's rose, faded but still there in the same way as Scott's wolf is. He'd wondered for the longest time if there was something wrong with him, if there was a reason he collected marks when the people they belonged to didn't.
"I Could Find My Way Back" (M) by entanglednow | 6,250 | Stiles grits his teeth. "Dude, I don't want to be bound to Derek," he says flatly. "You be bound to Derek."
"spice up your life!" 🔒 (T) by callunavulgari | 1,890 | “I said,” the girl drawls, setting her elbow down in a saucer of ketchup and grimacing. “That this whole soulmate thing is fucking stupid. You’re supposed to find someone based off of the music they’re listening to? How would you even know what was really stuck in your head and what was in theirs? It’s complete shit.” Derek, who has had everything from Dancing Queen to the Barney theme song stuck in his head all night, winces, and says abruptly, “I think my soulmate is in middle school.”
"Oh my (let me look at those eyes)" (E) by Gorgeousgreymatter | 41,359 | A few months ago, he might’ve been able to solve this with some force—a little man-handling, a snarl, a glimpse of teeth. But he looks at Stiles’s broken face, knows he’s seen too much horror and blood and evil, the whole Big Bad Wolf routine is just going to fall flat. Because Derek looks at Stiles and he doesn’t carry himself like a teenager anymore. He carries himself like a soldier.
"Ssshhh! (or the voice in my head will have to shout)" (E) by mirrorkill | 20,288 | Things in Beacon Hills are always weird, but Deputy Derek Hale is pretty damn sure he's getting the brunt of this week's insanity. There's a serial killer in town getting their kicks by posing people weirdly and maybe the local coven is to blame. His mom's setting up his sister with his new boss's cute son. There's some guy talking in his head.
"Bite Down Hard" (E) by kurikuri | 25,730 | Secret Service Agent Derek Hale accidentally gets bonded to First Son Stiles Stilinski. Oops.
"Strip Poker" (T) by kaistrex | 4,267 | When Stiles’ Soulbite manifests on his neck and makes it look like he’s been mauled by an animal, he takes to spending most of his time hiding it in the preserve. It would be the perfect haven if it wasn’t for Derek Hale being such a creeper.
"The Life Expectancy of a Fluorescent Bulb" 🔒 (M) by suburbanmotel | 10,492 | Long before the boy knew, the wolf knew. The wolf knew what he wanted because it was bred in his bones. He knew the boy was his but the boy didn’t know it yet, because the boy was injured and sleeping.
"Something With Explosions" 🔒 (T) by suburbanmotel | 5,027 | Derek has become, for lack of a better word, untethered. Unmoored in time and space, flitting here and there and back again. It’s unnerving, disorienting, terrifying, educational. Apparently he missed a lot of things the first time around.
"Happily Ever After" (G) by all-or-nothing-baby | 1,852 | He'd recognise that voice anywhere; would know it in a sea of a thousand others. Derek slowly turned on his heel to find its owner sitting in his favourite tree.
"Through Myself and Back Again" 🔒 (G) by Green | 2,808 | Stiles knows he needs a ground ('an anchor', he hears an old memory whisper), help to pull the thing back so he doesn't destroy… well, everything. If Derek hadn't reached out, Stiles probably would have burned and burned until nothing was left.
"Red, Red, Red" 🔒 (E) by loserchildhotpants | 9,460 | “What?” “Your tattoo.” “What about it?” “Just… it’s weird, I’ve been - uh. You ever, like, dream of something? Something you’ve never seen before, but then you see it out in the world?”
"The Nose Knows" 🔒 (E) by WhoopsOK | 5,454 | “I’m not watching Stilinski have this crisis,” Jackson exclaims suddenly, standing to brush past him, the others turning to follow in spite of Derek shooting them panicked looks. “This smell is gonna make me puke.” “What smell? Wait, what crisis?” Stiles says, but actually he sort of does want Jackson to leave, he wants to be alone with Derek. He still hasn’t adjusted to his senses being so… well, sensitive, and everyone’s scent is competing with the one he really wants. He’d have to get close enough to touch him, to bury his face in his throat to block out all other scents, and that’s really all he wants right now.
"All My Kingdoms Turn to Sand" 🔒 (E) by elisera | 6,477 | The real question is what Stiles wants. If he’s looking forward to seeing Derek again because they’ll complete what they started a long time ago or if Stiles is nervous because he’s feeling apprehensive. There’s a real possibility that he told the pack to finally send Derek up in order to tell him thanks, but no thanks. A lot can happen in six years; people change and grow apart and it isn’t like they were allowed to talk.
"One Thread" 🔒 (M) by RurouniHime | 11,599 | In the middle of the night, his dad comes into the room and crawls onto the bed behind him, easing Stiles into the vee of his legs. He settles back against the headboard with a groan and doesn’t say anything for a long time. Stiles wraps his arms around one of his dad’s legs, presses his cheek to warm flannel, and tries to be still. “Oh, kid,” his dad exhales. His hand comes down on the side of Stiles’ neck and his fingers press gently. “I never wanted you to know this pain.”
"And I Never Thought I'd Ever Say Forever" (M) by suchfun | 31,844 | "The TiMER is a gift." He says it automatically, because that's what his mom says. That's how he was brought up. That's what he's supposed to think. He used to believe it, back when he was sixteen and idealistic, before he actually got his TiMER, back when he was so sure that his soulmate would be Paige.
"An Unpredictable Amount of Turtles" (T) by skoosiepants | 5,942 | Stiles says, “I have a five year plan. A five year plan to popularity that will tank the minute I meet this guy.” “I feel like you’re exaggerating,” Scott says, but Scott has a katana-wielding badass waiting for him at the other end of the rainbow, and Stiles has terrariums.
"When the Universe Comes Knocking (It’s Polite to Open the Door)" (M) by isthatbloodonhisshirt | 135,402 | It was like a door he’d nailed shut in his brain suddenly exploded open, all of his past confusion and anger and hurt and adoration flooding out at once. Stiles? Was it actually Stiles?! Stiles, the guy he’d had a crush on for fucking years growing up. The guy who’d been an absolute dick to him their whole last year of high school. The guy who’d told him he loved him in a dirty men’s bathroom on prom night while drunk and upset because he thought Kira was Derek’s girlfriend.
"This Ship Will Carry Our Bodies Safe to Shore" (G) by notevenwriting | 6,350 | Hey, it’s okay. I’m okay. When those words appeared scrawled against the soft inside of his wrist, Derek’s first thought was that his mate and him would be involved in some kind of accident and they’d died in front of him. The thought used to scare him when he was a kid, the thought of being responsible for someone’s last minutes, of holding someone’s hand, brushing soft strands of hair out of their eyes and assuring them everything would be just fine made his heart race and forced his wolf into the surface.
"marked" (G) by elisela | 2,742 | “I don’t have a name,” was one of the first things Stiles ever said to him, somewhere in between “do your eyebrows always do that?” and “come on, one coffee can’t hurt.” And now the memory of it is all Derek can hear over the pounding of his own heart in his head, a drumbeat that sounds like he’s being marched to his own execution.
"Look The Other Way" (T) by anonymous | 3,692 | Becoming Derek’s emissary came with a heavy price; victories always do.
"Three Marks" (M) by sanam | 113,736 | And then there was pain again, but this time it was in only three places—his arm, below his clavicle, and next to his heart, all on the left side. It felt like the skin was being sliced apart, ripped open, flayed off— And suddenly it was done. Derek looked across the room and saw the boy on the floor, looking about as bad as Derek felt.
"not what you can predict" 🔒 (T) by theyhadcookies | 3,901 | Some time between Peter biting Scott, the Kanima, Gerard Argent, and Deucalion and Jennifer almost tearing the town apart, getting kidnapped and seeing his mother again for the first time, Derek met his soul mate. He has absolutely no idea who it could be.
"Safety in Silence" (M) by Survivah | 66,901 | It's perfectly understandable. Even Derek wouldn't want to be Derek's soulmate.
"Safe at Anchor" 🔒 (T) by Jerakeen | 11,371 | "He needs... grounding," Deaton explains, which helps Stiles not at all. "Grounding? Like electricity?" He tries to take a step back instinctively, but Derek wobbles on his feet and Stiles ends up steadying him with an arm around his waist, pulling them even closer together. "What's happening? Deaton? What am I doing?"
"Wayward and Down" (E) by amberography | 32,331 | That time it took not one, but two separate troll attacks and a malevolent coven of witches for Stiles to figure out how he felt about Derek.
"An (im)Perfect System" (T) by theroguesgambit | 7,903 | Stiles has always felt pretty lucky about his soul mark. After all, how many conversations tend to start with “This is private property”? (Apparently more than you'd think.)
"Second Chances" (G) by rootbeer | 2,624 | A lot of times the ‘markings’ were common, simple things you said to strangers all the time. 'Excuse me'; 'thank you'; 'hello'. Some got extremely romantic things like 'it’s you isn’t it? I’ve been waiting for you' or 'Wow you’re really pretty'. And they were always the first words their soulmate would ever say to them. Of course, having 'You are the fucking worst kind of person in the world' tattooed down your side, didn’t bode well. How fucked up was Stiles Stilinski that even his fucking Soulmate hated him? High School had been a special kind of hell when all the kids learned what his tattoo said—despite his best efforts to keep it a secret.

"To Be Worthy Of Hope" (T) by alocalband | 7,482 | In which Derek is secretly pining, Stiles is oblivious to both Derek’s feelings as well as his own, and any personal growth that happens in the meantime is completely reluctant.
"Your Pain is My Pain (So Stop Being So F#@$ing Clumsy!)" (T) by isthatbloodonhisshirt | 7,878 | “Derek is not my soulmate,” Stiles insisted. “I mean, look at him!” He motioned Derek. “He’s all grumpy and sourwolfish, and I mean, yeah, he’s great to look at, with the stubble and the working out, and face of a God sculpted out of stone and all that, and arms that could definitely carry me damsel-in-distress style whenever he wanted and what was I talking about again?” He turned back to Talia. “I think I lost my train of thought.”
"this plan will work" (T) by unavee | 5,573 | Getting rid of a soulbond is more difficult than Derek expected.
Peter/Stiles
"our hungers appeased (our heartbeats becoming slow)" (T) by willowcrowned | 6,155 | It had been Stiles who’d suggested it, offhand, while sitting on the steps of the Hale house, watching Derek try to wrangle his pups into something closer to controlled. He hadn’t been looking at Peter, but he’d been watching him anyways, and he’d seen—something in Peter that had made him recommend Peter get out of Beacon Hills with only half the malice that Peter had been expecting from him.
"put your mark on my soul, show me you need me" 🔒 (NR) by Areiton | 2,941 | Soulmarks appear in time of need. Not yours--your soulmate’s. When they needed you, the mark would bloom on your skin in inky black, a puzzle piece that left tiny clues to the person fate chose for you.
"Isn't This A Little Soulless?" (E) by anonymous | 6,714 | Peter is twenty-eight years old and content in never finding his soul mate. He has only recently broken something off with a partner, and is once again enjoying the opportunity to be single. A lot of people got… Strange, when they were with someone with a soul mark. They either felt like you were going to leave them at any moment for your soul mate, or that you must be the Settle Down type. They hadn’t proved to be a good match in the end. Peter had dated a few people with marks of their own. It took the pressure off, when you both knew that really they didn’t mean anything.
"Our Imperfect World" 🔒 (E) by taylorpotato | 11,524 | Not long after his eighteenth birthday, Peter wakes up with a small, white scar on his finger. Most people are born with scars that match their soulmate's, or get one in their early childhood. Peter thought he just wasn't meant to have anybody. The sudden arrival of his soulmate (in Beacon Hills, no less) is just the beginning of his life's complications.
"Not Stella" 🔒 (T) by Fidelius | 2,596 | Stiles isn't Stella. He never was. Not even when people thought he was. He's Stiles. His biggest hope is that his soul mate's wrist says his name. His biggest fear is that his soul mate's wrist says her name.
••••••
Chris/Peter
"La Bête du Argent" (E) by Whreflections | 38k+ WIP | When Chris is a boy, it becomes very clear that the prominent soulmate tattoo on his arm depicts an alpha werewolf. If he'd come from a pack, or even a family with no knowledge of the supernatural, it wouldn't have mattered, not really, but that wasn't his fate. He's an Argent, and a werewolf's mate, and those contradictions have no place in the same body, not in his father's opinion.
"You Are Whatever a Moon Has Always Meant" (E) by lavenderlotion | 3,447 | Peter was quiet for a moment, caught up in staring at Christopher's beard and the way it was shot with the grey. The lines around his eyes seemed to be etched deeper than they ever had been before, and his eyes were dark, empty in a way Peter had never seen on him. He took a breath and told himself that it wasn't weakness if it was only them. “You're my mate, Christopher.”
“Our Other Lives” (M) by TriDom | 1,881 | Everyone is born with their soulmate’s last words to them tattooed on their skin. It was the first sentence Chris learned to read, the first words he learned to write. He would never call himself a romantic, but through everything, those black letters kept him grounded and gave him hope.
“Your Scars are Mine” (M) by TriDom | 6,454 | When the youngest of a pair of soulmates turns 21, their scars appear on each other’s bodies. When Peter turns 21, his previously flawless hide is suddenly covered in scars.
••••••
Derek/Stiles & Peter/Stiles
"Whatever Works" (E) by KouriArashi | 61,929 | The problem with having your soulmate's first words to you tattooed on your arm is knowing your whole life that you're fated to be with a jerk. It's enough to make Stiles want to date other people ... which is how he winds up dating his soulmate's nephew.
••••••
Stiles/Jackson
"Link Share, Mark As Complete" (T) by red_crate | 914 | He can't believe this is how he ends up meeting his soul mate.
"I'll Dissolve When The Rain Pours In, When The Nightmares Take Me" (T) by clotpolesonly | 38,749 | When Stiles finally managed to contort himself the right way without causing injury, he stared at the words on his inner thigh. And then he stared some more, long enough for the water to grow cold around him, wondering if this was part of the dream. Finally he decided that it had to be real only because his subconscious was not creative enough to come up with this. There, in freckle-brown letters stark against pale skin, was the name Jackson Whittemore.

Hello! Love the fic recs you do! I was wondering if you had a list of slow burn fics where they take their time getting together and it's not rushed? Thank you!!
Hello! Take a look at this bunch
Again, From the Middle by rlnerdgirl
One would think the nogitsune rearing its ugly head again twelve years after having arrived in Stiles’ life the first time would have been the worst of his problems. Surprisingly, or not, it’s the beginning of them. In the aftermath of trying to find a solution to eradicate a thing that cannot be killed, Stiles finds himself a stranger in a strange land. One where the nemeton is a whole tree, the Hale house isn’t burnt to a crisp, and all the Hales are alive and living little Hallmark miracle lives. It’s… disorienting to say the least. Though getting to know a Derek that’s never killed, never been a victim, and never lost is an entirely different matter altogether. It’d be the perfect world, if it were his. For better or worse, Stiles has a world and a home of his own. A dad, friends, and thriving entrepreneurial employment that he’s left behind. All, hopefully, sans nogitsune. Unless he managed to mess that up along with displacing himself. Of course, getting back isn’t nearly as easy as getting… wherever he is. Partly because he has no clue how he got here.
speak of all that's been and all that won't by Daisyapples
Stiles stood in front of him; eyes wild, fists clenched, shoulders tense, but still. The stillness was what made Derek's hackles raise. Stiles was never still. "Stiles?" "Stuck in a time loop. Know where Erica and Boyd are. Need help saving them. Cora is alive and we need to save her too." Derek froze, right down to his marrow. The questions rose up like fish to the surface of the sea after throwing in a stick of dynamite; constant, floating, too many to count. He examined Stiles again; the stillness, the dark bags under his eyes he hadn't had yesterday and were evidence of more than one night's bad sleep, the hitch every third breath like he was just keeping it together. Stiles needed help. It was that simple. "Okay,” he said, making sure to temper his voice. Stiles wilted and crashed into Derek's chest, wrapping his arms around him for a quick moment before pulling back. Derek heard him mutter, every damn time, fuck, as he walked into the apartment.
A Second Chance by SlytherinDiplomat
When one clawed finger sinks deep into Stiles' skin, he does his best not to scream out in agony. He manages to only allow a pained whimper to escape his pale, chapped lips. The pain is hot and raw, but he knows that if he lets himself scream, it could tip off whatever is hunting them. So, he grinds his teeth, and he lets Derek carve into him like he is a human etch-a-sketch. A fix-it fic of sorts.
Drive Home (The Long Way 'Round) by Queen_Whovian, TW_Queen (Queen_Whovian)
The two hour drive that should have brought him to Ashburn was interrupted by a squeal from under the hood. The lights on the dash flashed before a warning code blinked on. “Oh, you’ve gotta be,” Stiles pulled over just as soft gray smoke started to billow from under the hood, “fucking with me.” Just as he pressed his foot to the brake, a grinding shook the jeep’s body. Stiles groaned, letting his head fall back against his seat. He pushed the parking brake and shoved himself out of the car, “Some type of fucking car. How far away are we, Roscoe? Like ten minutes? Couldn’t just make it to Scott’s place, you just had to break down in the middle of nowhere. God-fucking-damnit.” Life seems to be having fun fucking with Stiles, stranding him in the middle of Nowheresville, Tennessee after a Hellish six months at the office, but Scott is here. And there's a guy willing to help him fix his car. So it can't be all bad. He hopes.
Getting Better by TheBadassIsIn
The season 4 rewrite absolutely no one asked for where Stiles actually deals with his trauma from the nogitsune instead of being a-ok with it all and added Sterek.
An Uncivil Contract by Stout
Derek Hale, Viscount of Beacon, has just been dragged home from the army to clean up the mess his deceased uncle made of his affairs. Finding himself downing in debt, Derek would do anything to save the ancestral home. Even if it means hanging out for a rich spouse. He's willing to offer his savior everything - or at least an introduction to the ton. Mieczysław Stilinski, heir to an enormous fortune, likes the idea of being Quality - but what he really wants is to please the dead mother and living father who'd enjoy nothing more than to see him elevated. Stiles would do anything to make them both happy; even if that means marrying the most reluctant peer in London. A contract marriage between them would solve everything. Unfortunately.
Strange Turns That Bring Us Closer by demonicfaerie2009
His foot had just hit the bottom step on the porch and the next thing he knew he was spun around and pushed roughly against the front door. This was the second time tonight Derek had manhandled his way into Stiles' personal space. Between that primal growl from the elder teen and their close proximity, it sent a chill through him that had absolutely nothing to do with fear. Good, god, there was no reason he should have enjoyed that. Stiles found his gaze darting back and forth from Derek's bright eyes to his lips. “Kidding! Geez!” Stiles put his hands up in surrender, unable to stop the higher pitch his voice had taken. A quiet snarl escaped Derek before he shoved just a little harder at Stiles' chest. Derek huffed, then stepped back. “I was keeping an eye on you.” “Why?” His hands came up to straighten his shirt once more. The elder male's hands balled up at his sides, Stiles noticed. He also saw that Derek had tensed considerably. This made him watch the other a bit more skeptically, a brow shifting upward as his eyes narrowed. “Derek..? Why were you keeping an eye on me?” “Because I think the Alpha is targeting you.”
too busy being yours to fall for somebody new by whiry
Stiles, worried that Scott may actually leave him behind because of his newfound popularity, is desperate to cling to something away from the drama of Lydia Martin's amazing parties and the woes of high school lacrosse. What he finds is Derek Hale, a guy who seemingly hates Stiles at first, but slowly, and insistently, becomes friends with him. As their friendship grows, Stiles starts to wonder if they could ever become something more or if pushing what they have will lead him to being alone for good.
can you tell me what was ever really special about me all this time? by whiry
There's something strange about Beacon Hills. Stiles can't really put his finger on it, but the way certain classmates look at him at school and the way certain adults look at him in the grocery store has him curious. And it's not the sort of pitying looks that his mom's coworkers used to give him, but these ones are longer, more searching, like they're looking for something. Not to mention the weird noises that sometimes come from the woods when he runs, too human to be animal and too animal to be human. Plus the way the Hales have seemed to sequester themselves to the wild and give Stiles serious Cullen family vibes. But Stiles, like everyone else apparently, ignores it. Until it becomes too great to ignore and he has to investigate for himself and find out what is actually going on in Beacon Hills. +++ Or, the one where Stiles and Derek meet, hate each other, slowly get to know one another, and fall totally head over heels for each other all while avoiding curious classmates, an angry ex-girlfriend, and, oh yeah, imminent death.
Actions Speak Louder than Words by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
"I apologize.” The cop finally looked back up at his face, seeming thrilled. “It’s just—it’s been so long. And we finally have you.” That was a bad word. Not found. Have. Stiles wrenched his hand free and took a step back, but before he could even think up a gameplan, he felt a prick in his neck and jerked away, reaching up to slap one hand against it and twisting in the same moment. One of the others had come up behind him while he hadn’t been paying attention, and his vision began to swim even as his eyes caught sight of the half-empty syringe the guy was holding.
I Wanna Hear (how your heart speaks) by LadySlytherin
When an attack on Derek leaves Stiles as collateral damage and causes him to lose his hearing, the Pack is at a loss. With the Alpha Pack to contend with and his wayward betas barely come to heel, Derek’s already got his hands full. He doesn't have time for an injured human teenager or his sheriff father. But Stiles is pack - something Derek has known for a while - with the potential to be even more. And Derek soon finds that Stiles is more of an asset than anyone realized, even with his new limitations. As for Stiles, he's about to find out that sometimes when you lose one thing, you gain so much more.
Hallowed Grounds by damnfancyscotch
Everything in Beacon Hills is the same when Stiles comes home from college. Well, except for the fact that he's a published author now, Scott is halfway across the world with a travelling circus, Erica's epilepsy has been cured, her boss offers him a job too, and there's this weird black dog that seems to be following him around just to judge him. Oh, and the murders, of course. But other than that stuff… totally the same old BH.
The Hollow Moon by thepsychicclam
It's the summer after Stiles' first year of college, and he's working a crappy job and dealing with nightmares and anxiety - but he's okay, he swears. He makes it through most days without too much trouble. Then, a certain werewolf comes back into town. Which Stiles doesn't care about, nope, not at all. After two and a half years, Derek returns to Beacon Hills with his small Pack. Though he tried to move on, something just kept drawing him back to Beacon Hills, he's just not sure what. Now, he figures he can start building something like a life - but he keeps getting distracted by Stiles Stilinski of all people.
A Teenage Love Song by HaleHathNoFury (My_Trex_has_fleas)
Stiles is sick and tired of how much he fucks up. His dad is disappointed, his step-mom judges and his step-brother can do no wrong. It's not that he doesn't love them, he just gets so tired of being different. Now he's being moved lock, stock and barrel to Beacon Hills aka the town his mom grew up in so they can go live in his grandma's house and his father can get him back on the straight and narrow. It's going to suck.
Never meant to be Alpha by MyShipSailsHere
Derek left when Stiles was 18. He gave up being their Alpha, leaving behind not only his pack but Stiles, who had just given him everything. What will he find when he returns? A newly built pack with old faces? Who became the Alpha? Will he be welcome? Or is there groveling in store? Is there a chance for old love to rekindle? Or will it destroy them both? My, What Big Shoulders You Have (The Better to Help You Carry the Weight) by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
"Talia was just telling me an interesting story,” his dad informed him. Stiles didn’t have the nerve to glance over at him, because he knew no matter how much he argued, the proof was all there. The wolves had found him, Parrish had picked him up on the side of the road, he had a fucking picture on his phone. He was screwed. No point in arguing, all it’d do is piss his father off even more. “You don’t say,” Stiles offered slowly. “What uh—you know, I like stories. Is it a uh, good one?” “It seems to be a matter of opinion,” Talia said with another kind smile. “I hear you had quite the night last night.” Okay, time to cut his losses. He was already fucked, all he could do was apologize and hope she didn’t press for him to get fined and arrested. Given he was her husband’s friend’s son, he had high hopes. “I’m really sorry,” Stiles blurted out. “It was stupid and-and irresponsible and just—I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have crossed into your territory. I should’ve known better, I do know better! It was a complete lapse in judgement and I am just—I am so sorry.”
Feel it like a fever, burning through the night by LunaCanisLupus_22
"That was my favourite fern,” Deaton declares and Stiles glances at Scott for clarification that such a ridiculous statement just came out of his boss’ mouth. “You could have just told me not to touch it,” Stiles points out sensibly, squirming inside with something he refuses to believe might be guilt. Not about the dumb plant, but the instant devastation he’s currently overwhelmingly and inescapably capable of. He can destroy with one touch now. This is going to complicate things so much. Or the one where Stiles tries to do the noble self-sacrificing thing: gains a new power, a spectral skin colour and basically ruins his own life. 0/10 would not recommend.
To Build a Pack by Arieanna
Derek feels a pull in his chest, and it's a pack bond to Stiles. He thought the young man had betrayed him along with Scott, but finding out the truth, he makes Stiles a part of his pack. Now, with the pack coming together in a healthy way, they help Stiles discover that he's not just a sidekick, but a major player, and more important than Scott had ever given him credit for. The more Derek pulls Stiles into the pack, though, the harder it is to ignore the feelings that he's been having for the boy since they met. Stiles, on the other hand, has fallen out of love with Lydia, and can't figure out just why that happened.

Teen Wolf: Imagine being Derek’s sister and him finding out that you’re secretly dating Stiles.

When you first met Scott and Stiles, you wouldn’t have believed that one day, you’d end up falling in love with the latter. Your first meeting hadn’t been… good, if you were honest. You saw them as a threat, as did your brother, so your first words to Stiles had been “stay out of this, human”.
Seeing where that meeting brought you now had been completely unexpected. Stiles had somehow gotten enchanted by you, and you soon realised he had a crush on you — despite you having been so harsh at him when he had tried to defend Scott.
And more surprises were coming. Him fumbling and being awkward, at the loss of words before you, you found it cute. Cute. A human, you found a human cute.
You tried to hide it, how you were warming up for him. How he got you to smile, how you started to enjoy his company. It wasn’t logical, it was foolish. And especially when Derek hated Stiles, you having feelings for the boy just didn’t fit the picture.
But, your feelings just wouldn’t go away, no matter how much you tried to suppress them, and eventually you just had to blurt them out to him. He just stood there stunned, looking at you for a moment before he started grinning like he had just won in a lottery. And you knew that he kind of had, he had had the biggest crush on you for a long time and now you told him you felt the same way.
But you still needed to keep it hidden from your brother, in fact Scott and the Sheriff were the only ones who knew. You snuck out almost every day after school to hang out with Stiles and there you were at a park, in the shadow of an old oak, heads pressed together and holding hands.
This was one of those days. You two were sitting in the park, beside a pond full of ducks. Stiles had brought a bag of seeds with him, and you fed the ducks together. You were quieter than usual, and Stiles nudged you.
“What are you thinking about?” he mumbled, handing you a few seeds.
“I think Derek is suspecting something,” you replied, glancing over your shoulder. “I can’t help but think that he’s been watching us, he acts so weird. I don’t know what he will do if he finds out about us.”
You threw the seeds to the ducks, making them swarm at your feet. Stiles sighed, looking up for a moment. You knew he wanted to mutter “creep” but you appreciated he didn’t. You took his hand. “I’m not leaving you, in case you’re afraid of that. Even if Derek will try to lock me up.”
Stiles nodded, squeezing your hand back. “I know.”
You sat there for a moment longer, until the seeds ran out and Stiles shook the bag towards the quacking ducks, before throwing it into the trashcan and leaving the park with you. You walked in silence for a moment, before Stiles turned to you. “Wanna come watch a movie? Your brother can’t follow us there, Dad has too many security cameras for that.”
You scoffed. “As if that’d keep him away. But you’re right about it being safer there. He might not want to come in and risk your dad seeing him threatening you.”
He took the jeep keys from his pocket and fumbled with them for a moment. “So… you’re coming?”
You nodded, taking his arm. “Yeah, I’d like to have a good laugh with a comedy before going home.”
—
As the credits rolled, you realised how late it had gotten. The clock had struck midnight a while ago, and you could almost picture Derek tapping his foot impatiently like the Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh. So you reluctantly retreated from Stiles’s warm embrace, stretching out before looking at him. “I should go.”
He sighed, absentmindedly running his thumb across your hand. “Yeah, you probably should.”
You stood up from the couch, swinging your bag over your shoulder, letting Stiles walk you to the door. Once you reached the porch, he leaned against the door frame and you looked at him, biting your lip. “Thanks for tonight,” you mumbled. “I had fun.”
Stiles nodded. “Me too.”
You thought for a moment, but then decided to take the leap — you stepped closer to him. “I think a proper good night wish could be better than just saying it.”
Stiles’s cheeks turned slightly red, and he stuttered slightly. “O-oh?”
“Yeah.”
And then, with one last breath, you gently grasped the collar of his hoodie and pressed your lips to his.
It wasn’t a deep, passionate kiss you see in movies, it was rather short, in between a peck and a proper kiss. But still, when you stepped back, Stiles grinned like he had won the lottery all over again, and you couldn’t help but giggle a little. “Goodnight, Stiles.”
He blinked, straightening up. “Goodnight.”
Then you turned, walking into the night with the biggest grin on your face. The night was chilly, but you felt like your heart was jumping around so much that it almost overheated you. Not that you minded, you were happier than in a long time, and almost felt like skipping through the forest.
Crack.
You stopped dead in your tracks, looking around. “Derek?”
Sure enough, he stepped out from the darkness, and you froze. “I… I was just on my way home.”
He scoffed, crossing his arms. “Don’t lie. I saw what happened.”
You cocked your head, trying to act clueless. “Saw what happen?”
He raised his eyebrows. “The kiss. I saw you kissed him. Didn’t you just tell me there’s nothing going on with him?”
You tried to play stupid and test the waters, laughing. “Nice try. You haven’t been near me today, I haven’t smelled you.”
He shook his head, sighing. “Which is exactly why I’m concerned. You’re losing your focus. What if the Hunters will get you because you’re too busy staring at Stiles’s eyes?”
You kept walking, pushing past him. “You’re overreacting. It was just a kiss.”
He turned around, starting to walk with you. “Just a kiss, and numerous secret dates after school for weeks, or is it months now?”
You groaned, figuring it’s no use to keep pretending. “Alright! We have… something going on with him. But it’s still early, and I’m not abandoning the pack because of him if that’s what you’re afraid of.”
“He can’t protect you. The Hunters will use him against you,” Derek said quietly. “You could die because of him.”
“His pack—”
He interrupted you, “He doesn’t have a pack, he’s not one of us. Even if he pretends to belong in Scott’s pack, he isn’t, and will never be, one of them.”
You sighed. You knew he was mostly right. Stiles, being a human, could easily be used against you. He hadn’t learned about everything yet, nor Scott had in that matter. You had tried to guide them, to help, but so far it was going slowly. And you knew that each day, the risks grew. You understood your brother, you had gone through the exact same feelings, wondering and pondering and pacing around your room, before finally concluding you weren’t able to keep it inside you. You had brought up all your worries to Stiles once you decided to tell him about your feelings, and he assured you that Scott would help if any problems came up. You still had doubts, but chose to push them aside for the sake of living. You had done what you could, telling him and Scott about the risks and Stiles still wanted to see what would become of you two.
You stopped, looking up for a moment. “I know it’s dangerous, Derek. But what do you expect me to do? Ignore my feelings, end my relationship? It wouldn’t be fair for me, even less for him. He signed up for this, because he wants to be with me.”
Derek stopped as well, stepping in front of you. He ran his hand through his hair. “I’m not asking you to ignore how you feel, but you need to be smart about this. Think about how many times we watched our friends get hurt because they got too close?”
“We’re not children, we can look after ourselves just fine,” you groaned.
He raised his eyebrows. “Can you? Because to me, it looks like one of you will be dead soon, and—.”
You shook your head, raising your hands up. “Stop.”
You stood there in silence for a long while, before Derek crossed his arms again. “You’re not letting this go, are you?”
You huffed. “No. I can only promise to come to you for help if I need any.”
He thought for a moment, and pursed his lips. “Alright. But don’t expect me to like it, or him.”
You smiled a little. “Yeah, I know. Thanks, Derek.”
He didn’t say anything, just turned, and you followed him home. Maybe things between Stiles and Derek would be alright in the end after all.
