thinking about twink maverick and wondering how people think he’s a twink. genuinely. I look at these images and see, while yes a short man, a man who is also muscular and probably weighs a ton in pure muscle

So let’s break this down.
1. Late teens to twenties
Sure. Maverick is in his twenties. But only looking at age would technically make me a twink so whatever. Let’s move on.
2. Slim to average physique
Maverick does not have an average physique. That man is built. He is in peak physical condition. He doesnt just sometimes work out, he is actively working out. Look at his arms! His trapezius! Those muscles are clearly developed and strong! In certain uniforms, his waist appears smaller, but that’s what the flight suit does to all silhouettes. Maverick is built like a brick, yes with hips, but he’s not little. He’s short of course, but he’s not small. He’s not lithe, he is muscular, he is BUILT! Look at the left bottom picture. Look at how rectangular. Look at how NOT lithe he is. Look at how not skinny he is. Like come on now.

3. Youthful/feminine appearance
While he is extremely youthful looking as Tom Cruise always appears, i disagree that tom cruise/maverick in Top Gun looks feminine. But that’s not to say that tom cruise has never appeared feminine or twink-like in any way. Legend (1985) is an example of his twink and feminine abilities. But for maverick i would argue that he looks very masculine. Boyish, which some argue is another visual feature for twinks, but not feminine (in my humble opinion).
4. Little to no body hair
To think that maverick has no body hair is just maverick unibrow erasure and i wont stand for it. But seriously. While tom cruise was waxed and oiled up for top gun, this is also happy trail erasure. I will now provide proof.

One of them is from mission impossible but um idc. It’s proof that Maverick HAS body hair, both around his chest and in … lower areas… but Maverick is not hairless enough to be a twink, especially because he doesnt fall into the other necessary categories to excuse/ignore his body hair.
5. (Kind of a half point because not all definitions and understandings of the word twink align with this) but it seems a lot of modern connotations of the word twink are parallel to exclusively bottoming

everyone in piltover knows about the staff of their prestigious university. it's kind of common sense as the university is the pinnacle of everything.
but the interest of the professors was usually the highest. whether it was because of how good they were in terms of teaching.. or how hot they were.
some liked mr. talis. jayce talis. a man who had an affinity to connect with his students and guide them forward. he was lovely as a professor or a person. he was definitely the golden man that people looked up to as he was an alumni.
the man of progress, the teacher for the people. that was jayce talis.
he was strong, sweet, compassionate. he was built strong but he was humble. he had so much love in his heart. he was a little gullible at times but he was loved by you and viktor all the same. you both teased him everyday and he never got mad. he was truly a golden retriever at heart.
he was always excited every time either of you entered his office, even if it was to make him so needy and scrambled until the day ended. most students don't exactly know where those new lipstick marks on his neck come from but some can see the leftover lipstick on your face as you wipe it off with a satisfied grin.

i love your stuff and analysis but i do have to say, enabler as a term keeps being watered down (even by the devs themselves) the word has much stronger connotations and that is very important. Enabler is someone who specifically intentionally set up the circumstances for something to happen. An enabler would be for example someone who would give jimmy anya's door access code (lets say the doors Do have locks) fully knowing jimmy could not be trusted. It's really important that the word enabler holds its strong meaning and not get used liberally. I think a better word would be bystander. Im not saying people who are watering the word down are bad people! I know most people don't realize they're doing that! But it's really important especially in the discussion of assault that we use it correctly.
HARD AGREE!!!!! IT DEFINITELY IS BEING WATERED DOWN!! It happens all the time with serious topics on the internet, some medical professional terms and words with heavy meanings being used casually to things only remotely associated with them.
I try not to use "enabler" too much and I do mean it in a more technical "to enable" way meaning "to allow for something, make possible", just describing Curly's lack of holding Jimmy actually accountable in his head and letting weird behavior slip by typa way, like as a bystander who is a figure with authority, not considering the meaning in a real context and I'll be more mindful.

Is it 4 am when I posted this, yes. Do I car. No. Get attacked with my draft about some things about some of the specters I find neat! If anything I say in this post is wrong, or could have something added to it I would LOVE feedback, I’m still getting the hang of long form posts lol
Anywho! Most of my point here are going to be from either Wikipedia or someone else’s post. I have really bad memory so if I say something that seem familiar to a post you or someone you know made then people mention it and I’ll tag them!
First specter I’m gonna talk about is Eulalie’s.

Eulalies specter, as show, is a chimera, more specifically a Baku!
Baku’s are “Japanese supernatural beings that are said to devour nightmares”. Which explains Eulalie dreameating and possibly also the dispeller of evil spirits ability
Another fact I found interesting is that in a legend about the Baku “a child would wake up form a nightmare and call for the Baku by repeating “Baku-San, come eat my dream” three times. Then the Baku will come into the child’s room and eat the nightmare and the child will go back to sleep peacefully. However calling the Baku should be used sparingly, because if they remain hungry after eating a nightmare they may also devour the child’s hopes and dreams as well.”
Im not to sure if that is relevant to Eulalies character at all but I felt like it was worth adding!
Another thing that many have pointed out is that the markings of Eulalies arms resemble burn marks. Along with the fact that after using her dispeller of evil spirits ability she coughs a flame of fire.
Next specter I wanna talk about is Bernice’s!

I don’t have too too much to talk about with her specter, just some bits and bobs I picked up on rereads
Bernice’s specter in one of my favorites, just because of the fact it’s similar to a self defense mechanism for lack of a better term. Basically what I mean by that is the things she list is death her specter has a large amount of, and another things. Which leads me to the mouths.
The mouths, to me, are extremely interesting. If i remember correctly I read this on a post so credit or op even though I can’t remember who it was 😭. But the placements of the mouths on her specter could be the places she was touched without consent and/or inappropriately. The mouths seem to work as a self defense to her body, biting at whoever comes near on their own. Proctecting those spot of her.
Another thing about her design is the focus on teeth. First then her death and her teeth falling out, and on her specter, with the large teeth on the extra mouths. This association comes from the Edgar Allen Poe story she was based on, Bernice. If you haven’t read it I will spare you you read and put the wiki summary here
“The story is narrated by Egaeus, who is preparing to marry his cousin Berenice. He tends to fall into periods of intense focus, during which he seems to separate himself from the outside world. Berenice begins to deteriorate from an unnamed disease until only her teeth remain healthy. Egaeus obsesses over them. When Berenice is buried, he continues to contemplate her teeth. One day, he awakens with an uneasy feeling from a trance-like state and hears screams. A servant reports that Berenice's grave has been disturbed, and she is still alive. Beside Egaeus is a shovel, a poem about "visiting the grave of my beloved", and a box containing 32 teeth.”
Weird, i know. 😭
Another thing is her pearls. I couldn’t find any mentions of pearls in her story but she has a strange association with them. From them falling off during her death, her having many of them in her specter, and even her outfit in the fast pass episode (fast pass at the time of writing this but ep 126). I’m not to sure what this mean but i figured it throw it in!

I feel like people only think of genderfluid people as binary man 50% of the time and binary woman 50% of the time, but i'm genderfluid and i am never a binary woman unless i am also a man. I use he/they and most of my genders a somewhat masculine.
I often feel like i have to simplify my gender ID in order to get correctly gendered. If I don't say im transmasc people will assume i am genderless and only use they/them. If I dont say im nonbinary people assume i'm a binary man. How true these assumptions are depends on the day but if I let them assume one way they will stick to that even when i correct them.
Im scared of letting people use he/she for me when i'm bigender (boygirl) because i'm worried that giving them an inch means they'll take a mile (start using she/her for me frequently/see me as a woman)
Since there is so little language for nonbinary people i often find myself only using masc terms, which is fine, but after awhile it starts to feel like i'm disconnected from my nonbinary-hood because I can't casually acknowledge it in conversation the way i can my manhood
this is exorsexism.

Hello, I hope I'm not bothering you with this message, but I wanted to ask you something.
I recently started playing Love and DeepSpace a few weeks ago. I actually downloaded it because of Sylus—his edits kept appearing on my feed, and I was instantly drawn to him. However, after downloading the game and going through his chapters, I found his behavior toward the MC quite problematic.
One of my friends told me that Sylus isn’t like the typical dark romance characters from today’s BookTok trends, which honestly made me even more excited to explore his story. But when I watched Long-Awaited Revelry, I was honestly shocked by how he was handling the MC. I couldn’t help but wonder—is this really the same man who once sacrificed himself for her?
I tried my best to dig deeper into his lore, and I genuinely found his character to be selfless and sacrificial. But I’m struggling to understand how someone so selfless could hurt the MC in the main storyline. I can overlook many things, but one scene in particular really gave me a huge ick—when he takes her to Philip's shop. If I remember correctly, he uses his evol on her body, and she even says, “It hurts.” Then he replies with, “You will hurt even more.” That scene truly unsettled me. How could he say that when she clearly expressed she was in pain? Isn't that physical abuse?
Please correct me if I’m misunderstanding or wrongly labeling it as abuse. I just can't seem to make sense of that moment, especially after immersing myself in his backstory. It feels like the writers did him dirty in Long-Awaited Revelry. I mean, if someone could sacrifice their life for the person they love, how could they ever intentionally hurt them—even to remind them of the past?
It’s really hard for me to connect the version of Sylus we see in that scene with the one from his 5-star memories, where he seems like a completely different, much softer person. I genuinely love him a lot, and that’s what makes it even more upsetting. I usually adore dark characters—the kind who would burn the world for their beloved but would never hurt their beloved. Sylus doing this in the main story was unexpected and, honestly, kind of icky for me. 🥲
How do I come to terms with his redemption arc after knowing what he did in Long-Awaited Revelry (especially that physical hurt while taking her to the shop)? Is there a deeper context I might be missing—something that justifies his behavior? I really don’t want to dislike him, but it’s hard to reconcile such a hurtful scene with the selfless man his backstory shows. And again im saying i do not hate him but its just hard to overlook that scene especially knowing that he loves her so much and is willing to do anything for her. It seems like the Sylus who is shown in the long awaited reverly is not the same Sylus who is shown as so selfless in his myth and in his recent soft memory cards.
So I've already gone into this a bit in two previous asks that you can find here and here. But I can delve into it again, though my answer will be the same just more in depth I guess lol ^^
Ok so here are my main points
I don't at all think that this is a case of bad or inconsistent writing by Sylus' creative team. Sylus is a carefully – meticulously, even – crafted character who'd been in development for at least 5 years before he was introduced in the main story. I guarantee that his team know what they are doing with him and that they'd never do him dirty. They love him as much as if not more than we the fanbase do.
It's important to remember that we lack a lot of lore and context. We don't have all the puzzle pieces yet when it comes to Sylus or his relationship with MC. We're missing a huge chunk of backstory starting from their escape from the nebula up to Sylus' Anecdote. It is very possible that something happened in that time (or perhaps in another myth?) that can provide further explanations for Sylus' behavior in LAR. We'll just have to be patient and see.
For now though the simplest and most logical explanation to me is that Sylus is acting out of character in early LAR because he is in emotional distress. He is hurt, distraught, frustrated, desperate, possibly even fearful. He did not at all expect for things to happen the way they did, for the love of his life to not recall him at all even after coming face to face, for her to hate him, nor for her powers to be weak. I think it's pretty clear that he worries something was done to weaken her during the time that he wasn't observing her from afar – hence why he takes her to Philip and why he asks him if "someone put in a suppressor". Her suddenly deteriorated power makes him anxious for MC's future safety, and his fear has good reason – he is aware of the dangers posed to her by EVER.
He is also just simply desperate for her to regain her memories, which is also understandable. His pain and grief and frustration over his literal soulmate being unable to remember a single thing about him makes even more sense now after Death and Rebirth and the Timelock Key event. I'm ngl I wouldn't handle the same scenario well at all either, but would probably have a major crashout, especially if I'd done and been through all that Sylus has. In early LAR Sylus is basically a person who is desperately trying to remind a loved one (a literal chosen soulmate at that) with amnesia of their past and of themself. (An example of his trying to jog her memories is this part right here where he is recreating an environment mimicking the arena they fought in as kids).

To put it simply, Sylus isn't calm or rational or gentle because the situation he is in is deeply emotionally distressing and unexpected, and in his distraught state he is willing to cross lines he would not in normal situations. He loses himself, going as far as to override his core principle re: MC (her autonomy and consent). In this instance of raw hurt and desperation he thinks that the ends justify the means. This alone shows that he is not in a good or normal state of mind (and again why would he be?)
Now, that being said, does Sylus' emotional distress excuse his actions or make them justifiable? No. Because what he did in LAR simply isn't justifiable and isn't meant to be.
Like I've said before, you'll never catch me defending his actions or making excuses for them regardless of Sylus' reasonings. His behavior was wrong, and is portrayed as such by the narrative. We are meant to be uncomfortable and upset by those scenes. And we are meant to take MC's side and empathise with her as the victim of harsh and fucked up treatment, (while we can also with the context we now have also empathise with Sylus' emotional pain and anxiety – but we shouldn't excuse or justify him). Sylus himself realizes that he went way too far and obviously deeply regrets it – that's why his behavior changes notably afterwards. He is never again forceful or coercive with MC, but on the contrary always walks at her pace, and is twice shown to be prepared to let go of her. And I think his character is all the more beautiful for the fact that he is capable of learning from his mistakes and of bettering himself.
So in summary; Sylus behaving out of character in those early chapters makes perfect sense considering the circumstances and is imo an instance of good and realistic writing rather than bad or thoughtless. The writers were not in any way doing Sylus dirty, but were showing us a character that is flawed and emotionally hurting and capable of fucking up royally in certain situations, but who is also capable of real self reflection and of learning from his mistakes. The early chapters in LAR are integral to his character development, adding layers and depth and vulnerability to him and thus, ironically enough, make him more "human".
This is my perspective anyway, and I hope that it provided some food for thought ♡. I do want to say though that if you still feel the same re: Sylus' behavior, or if you have a completely different perspective from mine, that's ok and understandable. As always I am simply stating my own personal thoughts and interpretations, nothing more nothing less. Not trying to influence or change the way anyone thinks or feels or stating that my interpretation is the "correct" one. I am just working with the material we currently have and trying to piece the pieces together in the way that makes most sense to me, but which inevitably might not to others.

im not sure how to phrase it correctly but i think like. the fact that the Vallaslin started out as slave markings is important when discussing the elves and oppression of elves. HOWEVER what is equally important and interesting is the fact that those tattoos have evolved to become something of cultural significance and pride, with it even having important religious meaning and acting as a coming of age ceremony for young elves.
again idk how to phrase it in a way that makes sense but the fact that Solas focuses ENTIRELY on the original meaning of the vallaslin i feel is further evidence of the way he distances himself from modern elves and, honestly, doesnt really seem to care about them all that much. sure he likes the idea of elves, but hes in love with a memory of a past species that doesnt exist anymore and never can again. by removing the Inquisitor's vallaslin, he denies her a part of her heritage, whether he means to or not. bc, sure, vallaslin started as slave brandings, but that isnt what they are now.
even if we look back at Fenris' markings, he says that Danarius chose the shapes for them that he did as a MOCKERY of vallaslin. like all things in a culture, the meaning of vallaslin has evolved far, far past its origins and has new meaning and importance to the modern society living under that culture. apparently to the degree that someone as laser sharply cruel as Danarius will use them as a form of mockery and a humiliation ritual for Fenris.
also i think its weird that thats all the fandom focuses on with the vallaslin. DA asks us to put together lore and history the way an anthropologist or an historian would and the only way to do that is to look at both what something started as and what it has become. the modern-day meaning of vallaslin in Thedas far exceeds the original meaning in terms of the importance of it to the elves who wear it.
anyway theres prolly someone a lot smarter than me whos had a lot more hours of sleep who can better articulate the point im tryna make but. for now. gestures vaguely.

Cape Creation Game: Ghosts
The theme of this game is to create a cape or cape team based on a ghost theme.
The powers do NOT have to be literally ghost in execution (see: Triumph, Dovetail, Barker, and Biter for animal themed capes that don’t have animal powers).
Examples:
Ill-Manored - (Shaker). A young woman with a twisted sense of humor, Ill-Manored (IM for short), works to infect areas with her power, turning them into parts of herself over time, growing in scale and scope (a single hour can turn a small room into hers; an entire day can claim a small house).
Once she has infected an area, every non living item or part of the structure can be manipulated by her: she can see through paintings and pictures that have taken on her likeness, shatter glass at enemies, weaken floorboards, and bar entrances and exits. The highlight of her career being when she turned the entire top floor of a luxury hotel into a haunted prison for ransom.
She used to be hired as a sort of body guard for master minds or gang leaders, but the way she uses her power tends to damage the property and her sense of humor (which trended to trapping and tormenting occupants regardless of alliances) had her being chased out of her city. Now she works as a wanderer, disguising herself as unpowered and hiding in buildings before soaking up the structures in her energy and holding people hostage for funds
Astral Pathfinder - (Master/Striker). One of those capes who loves having a title more than a name (and gets upset when you don’t use it correctly), Astral Pathfinder can touch anyone and have them be forced out of their body as an invisible projection, able to pass through walls and fly at speeds similar to a slow car.
Once projected, the “spirits” can spy on people without hassle (though they do cause glitching in cameras and electronics), and briefly possess enemies for long seconds, they will be eventually rebuffed and sent hurling back to their original body. The one drawback to this power is that staying out too long from the original body will have long term health defects eventually.
He can command these projections to do his bidding, but prefers to ignore this power unless absolutely necessary in use of battle, as he wishes to keep his position as a spiritual guide of willing participants (many of which find astral projection to be liberating). Not a hero per se, he is a nominal ally of the local protectorate for facing down many villains in the west coast region.
The Dead Girl - (Stranger-Master). It’s a harsh world post-Gold Morning, and everyone has their own sorts of defense mechanisms. The Dead Girl has one that is particularly effective; upon any sort of injury inflicted upon her, she dies. Not literally, of course, but to the mind of her attacker it will look as though they just murdered a small child.
From there, they will be assailed by illusions of jump-scares of their actions and interactions killing people and animals they feel any sort of fondness for, ramped up depending on their level of intimacy and harmed done to the The Dead Girl. At the high points and damage done, they can even cause the dream like illusions within illusions, harming their sanity greatly.
The Dead Girl walks a rough path as a junior Warden; her power is most effective when she is quite literally in harms way, but she is just a 13 year old girl, and the wrong injury could be fatal to her. The fact that her power has no off switch beyond time it takes for the effect to wear off (from minutes to days), also adds some moral greyness to how the Wardens want to use her power in the field.

aaa thank u thank u so much for ur kind message ! 🥹 im honored you think so highly of my art and that it inspires you. the best compliment anyone could give me is that my art inspired them to make art too. and its really validating whenever im told my art is fluid and dynamic because i try very hard to make it so … drawing for me is kinda like carving marble i lay the initial sketch which is incredibly blocky and i spend an absorbent of the time trying to chip away at the edges make something rigid seem natural … pensive. i hope im understanding what ur asking correctly, but to quote ikuhara in regards to my shape language: "I think it's more beautiful when the body silhouette has clear contrasts (laugh)." i think its because i'v always been greatly inspired by fashion illustration & fashion editorial photography. runway and editorial makeup included in these i feel like also inform how i render eyes (yassified 💀) i started out drawing clothes and mimicking 20th century and 90s fashion illustration when i was little. in the salon i was always excited whenever we got new magazines so i could look at the celebrity fashion and red carpet sections. i also liked looking at the hairstyle lookbooks. late 90s and early 2000s so a lot of big/spiky/gelled/sprayed hair. and iv always loved haute couture especially sculptural clothing in the realm of guo pei, robert wun, heaven gaia, miss sohee, thierry mugler, schiaparelli, and richard quinn but i dont know if any of these influences translate here since the houses i named are heavily textiled and avante garde ... i try not to spend too much time rendering clothes bc at a certain point it becomes laborious which im trying to avoid feeling …… but i love sharing good art and these r my favourite designers 🥴 maybe this explains my silhouettes tho ? shrug mm perhaps more noticeable influences in how i shape fabric & clothing with my art here though would be houses like vivienne westwood, simone rocha and shushu tong besides fashion illustration & photography as i got older i got reallyyy into reading shoujo manga and that informed a lot of my style development too. particularly works of arine tanemura, matsumoto natsumi, ai yazawa, shinohara chie. and individually, mangas like kodocha, beauty pop, say i love you, kamisama kiss, kyo koi o hajimemasu (i dont remember a lot of these works plots only the art really but PLEASE do not read this last one i remember its really. really bad lmao) hononary mention of rosario vampire, which is not a shoujo but the first manga i read and was extremely attached to the art style artists who's interpretation of shapes and movement that i aspire to are kris anka, rené gruau, sara pichelli, j.c. leyendecker, hua sanchuan, and hisashi eguchi lastly iv never thought about my shape language explicitly in technical terms so i thought itd be interesting to try and put it into words. if it helps. so to me its kinda like

but also stylistic inspiration and aspirations aside, half of it is just the way my hand instinctually likes to move tbh. for example i drew out quickly what kind of lines make me feel the best and theyr like this

another contributing factor is probably that i really really dont like how it feels drawing straight lines. i like how they look and i wish i could Do them but hand tremors aside before even i still felt drawing straight lines was stifling and tedious like doing math. i love making a line that feels like a running rabbit i feel like for me at least in my art there is a lot that gets lost between inspiration—interpretation—execution—reception but i hope that i explained all this ok. its hard to put things into words haha. thank u again for the lovely message 🥲💗

im really envious of u. I like reading your writing and the stories you tell about sex and stuff and it sounds like u have a lot of fun. I don’t no if I will ever be able to live like that. im autistic and very inhibited is probably the best word. I find it hard to meet new people and go new places. a few times I have gone to local munches but been too introverted to say anything to people and I just sit there feeling self conscious and silly. they have been really nice. but I haven’t made any friends or anything. I feel like I need someone to take me under their wing kinda and give me an in. It seems like I’d really enjoy it a lot but don’t no how to make my way in. I don’t feel confident enough to just use apps and hook up. especially as im so new to it all and dont no what im doing really. I’ve read what you say about going to the social gatherings and stuff but what if im too shy to say anything? I don’t no how to be more uninhibited but I feel like that’s what I need.
please keep in mind that I was not doing any of this shit until I was like 32 years old. up until then I was in only a handful of relationships, mostly ones I had stumbled into through no agency of my own, and I had never really lived out any of my kinky desires. hell I had barely even gone out to a club or a concert or anything on my own, certainly not very often, let alone a sex club or something like that. I had to practice socializing on my own terms, and trying new things alone and scared and finding what was valuable in them despite those feelings a lot. like many many years a lot.
I didn't really venture out into the gay bath house or any of the cruising bars until I had a partner who was interested in taking me to them. that provided me with an in and an emotionally safe anchor with which to explore. I am also indebted to friends who showed me around places like steamworks and explained to me the nonverbals of cruising, which I then went ahead and put in my own cruising guide.
to this day I still have a much better time at events like puppy play night when I go with some homies and can spend some time joking around with them and using their support to help meet people before eventually breaking off and wandering into a back room to get laid. I still routinely have nights where I will go out on my own and do very little but sip from my drink and stand around awkwardly for four hours, maybe dance a bit, and go home.
cruising is an exercise in patience. you are never guaranteed any particular outcome or experience. you work with what nature gives you, and you learn to find some appreciation in simply being there and bearing witness. 9 times out of 10 you get turned down or there just isn't a spark. happens on the apps too.
shooting your shot and getting turned down is a successful consent negotiation. everybody has done everything correctly and it ended the only way that it should have. there's nothing to do but dust yourself off, not take it as some dramatic declaration of your life worth, and go at it again.
I recommend visiting cruising spaces with a friend. and just going purely for voyeuristic and anthropological reasons the first couple times. The only way you become a person who can do this stuff is by doing it, a fuck ton of times. message a lot of people. Go to a lot of events.
at some point you have to find the very act of going to be motivating and enjoyable in some way. thankfully I am fascinated by humans, enjoy dancing, like having a little drink or an edible and wandering around, and treat it all as very valuable writing fodder. you have to find what set of motivations work for you. because it's not about instant success or gratification ever. It is always a lot of waiting and watching and wondering what the night is going to bring, and making peace that often it will bring nothing at all except for being alive amongst others.
keep at it though. start really small. I am so glad that I got to this point, because yeah my life is really interesting and sexually gratifying and fun. but it also is entire weekends of just standing around nursing a drink and doing nothing and looking like an NPC. happens to the best of us

My personal thoughts on Lavenoor
Now I don’t exactly feel like I have anything substantial to add to the countless arguments and criticisms made by her readers against her, but I still can’t shake off the feeling of utter disappointment and disgust. Lavenoor made herself seem like a righteous leftist person that had progressive ideals. She actively sought out to speak up about societal issues in her stories and was praised for it. She made countless rants on many different things and controversial topics, all of which were very long. All of this, yet she couldn’t apologize to the victim of her actions? Not even once?
As a person who viewed her through rose-tinted glasses, even with a few reoccurring controversies, I still admired her. I looked up to her. But seeing her unable to give an actual apology when she had the chance is utterly disgusting. Now, i’m still trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe the reason she hasn’t come out with her promised response yet is because she’s taking a lot of time to properly explain herself and apologize, on top of med school getting in the way. I get it.
But seeing that first response left a bad taste in my mouth that I doubt the second one would make it any better. Not a single apology, not a single sorry. And seeing the most recent screenshots, she was undermining the victim’s feelings and situation. No doubt about it.
Saying things like… “I understand that you’re hurt, and im sorry for that.” For someone who’s as articulate as you, couldn’t you have thought about wording it better? Seriously? This message is like the equivalent of “im sorry you feel that way.”
“the terms grooming and abuse aren’t being used correctly here.” So what would you call this situation then? What terms or words would you use for it?
Yes, we learned the reason why she did it and that she’s now against grooming and minors being exposed to explicit content. It’s the REASON, but not the excuse. So couldn’t noor just have a little sense of decency and acknowledge the victim in the first response and not pretend they didnt exist? Couldn’t she have a little sense of decency and not make it all about her? I know she wanted to show her side of the story, but the point is, you arent the victim Noor. You were a product of your environment, yes. But that led you to hurt someone. Don’t let the reason for your actions apologize for you.
I dont usually speak out about topics like this but Lavenoor was rlly only one of the online authors I enjoyed reading. Do better Noor.
