i think he was the kind of kid that always knew he was a boy, very sure of himself, but in a way that also left him naive to how other people perceived him (also cause autistic zoro lol). kuina’s feelings on her gender as instilled by koushirou (that going through female puberty will only make her weaker over time, etc.) made him realize in retrospect (once he started puberty himself) that people will start to doubt his masculinity. I think that’d also play into why he works so hard to get stronger (besides fear of not being able to protect those he cares abt) and why he seems to be afraid of fighting female swordsmen (i wouldn’t find it out of the realm of possibility if he accidentally internalized kuina’s fears despite how he wants to disprove them)

likeeee for comparison it's probably similar to Crocodylia encompassing crocodiles, alligators, and gharials?? labra is in a similar niche to zilla for me. goji is the largest/apex species of the gojiran order, whereas zilla & labra are smaller and occupy a different niche. Big bruiser lion vs. carcal or lynx type thing.

my hc is that the vast majority of labra's species (pre-mutation art is what they looked like) was wiped out when ghido got into hollow earth. which is also the same time he wiped out most of the divine moths and a couple other species :''(

it ended with ghido iced but it fucked up the hollow earth ecosystem for a while and led to a lot more radiation leakage since he tore the place up real bad. labra was Almost Dead and ended up hibernating to recover by a radiation vent, but he'd laid down in feldspar vein that kinda grew to cover him and turned to labradorite and idk magic radiation nonsense it fused with him and caused him to grow/mutate.

the ghido massacre also caused battra to hibernate/mutate too so it's a Big Event in my silly au world. most of the kaiju that are clearly a result of mutation fuckery (biollante, kessho too) may be related to it as well but i haven't fully fleshed it out yet. it would mostly be based around goji's hyper-regeneration doing the thing where like.. if a big enough chunk of him gets lobbed off and has access to energy it mutates and tries to regenerate and causes a fucked up clone siblings thing idk omg ok i'm in tangent city good god sorry i was supposed to be talking about my gay son

(mosu beats rodan's ass bcuz he divebombs labra for fun sometimes) >he lives on monster island and ventures down to hollow earth sometimes, but he won't return to his old home because it just reminds him everyone else of his species is gone. (he isn't even his own species anymore bcuz of the mutation. so they're basically extinct.) >he loves swimming and sometimes just lays in the shallows to absorb sunlight. stretches out like a lazy ass cat. cat boy behaviour >he's loyal to goji and doesn't start shit with humans unless they attack first. even then he does his best to steer clear. >mothra likes his dorsal plates and talks with him sometimes (Moth Therapy) they can bond over ghido hating it's a good time >he has a mutually bitch-bother dynamic with rodan where rodan bothers the shit outta him until he manages to grab that turkey and idk sits on him or something. but if rodan really pisses him off he doesn't mind actually throwing hands because he knows goji won't care if he puts the bird in it's place. >he also likes angy, zilla, and bio a lot too.

the day has finally arrived! this will be both me yapping and scattered thoughts i wrote months ago im absolutely exhausted and everything aches lol forgib me pls

willow!! the fic where neo gets what he deserves after a reign of (domestic) terror is finally starting to shape into a feasible project lol

i made an epirus post already for anyone who wants a lil introduction to when & where were at, today ill be dissecting neo (foreshadowing hehe) for yalls entertainment. kindreds kitchen is both a reference for me and a motivator to not ditch stuff i actually want to do (i may or may not have a habit...) and also for the readers to acquaint themselves with whatevers chilling in my brain :>

ive mentioned it elsewhere, but the gist is that the sweet innocent child corrupted by big bad events is a tried and true classic, but i find neo being a sour and disagreeable kid extremely interesting

wherein he softens slightly as he matures later on <- this line of thought was to be explored in sub rosa bc its a character study, and since willow is a spinoff of that lol ill be using the same characterisation, tho idk how much of it will show in writing.

anyway thats the general idea, hes an ill tempered and demanding child, bitter and friendless, his isolation (be it self inflicted or otherwise) makes him really unpleasant to be around, very few tolerate him much even less seek his presence.

i dont subscribe to deidamia slander, i do think shes dealing with her own issues, but she does try her best with neo. mostly. its complicated lol

anyhows neo is now lured off with the promise of greatness that lead to the demise of his father before him (honestly i dont think hed know all that much abt achilles. hes somewhat off limits? at home at least idk)

hes shown around his fathers camp and all the things that were once his now belonged to pyrrhus turned neoptolemus, they tell him stories of his greatness that feed into the infallible image he has of him. more on that later aha

his divine blood can only aid him so far, he still has a lot to learn.

he doesnt really do all that much fighting imo but hes aight, using his size and agility and speed to exhaust his enemy before going for the kill. tis pretty efficient

anyway like i said he doesnt have to do much, his men are well trained and regard him with fond reverance, but he rises in the eyes of the others after he kills scamadrius/ astyanax and priam.

hes agamemnons fave now lol and has won the admiration/ approval of the other kings whom he insists are his peers (so this is liek a double victory to him. hes become a man & proved himself). polyxenas sacrifice is a whole thing in sub rosa and she haunts the narrative (go queen) so shell be mentioned here but only briefly ig

also i havent made a timeline but i imagine all this shit going down over the span of just under a year, the last before troys fall.

anyway now with several high profile kills under his belt hes finally made a name for himself, and in his grisly triumph he fails to notice that people regard him with more disgust and pity than anything else. huge blow to his ego lol he truly is nothing more than a tool.

neo is out of his mind (i like to thing hes a lil insane, rage of achilles and all but also not exactly?) ranting and raving, drunk on wine hes too young and naiive for (he gets really sick but he swallows it bc he has to be 'manly'. hes a rightful king now dammit)

wouldnt it be cool if like his whole life he looked up to his dad, and then as soon as he got the hang of war hes like lmao this shit is easy look at me im a child and i lived (hubris intensifies). hes so full of himself to mask the deep horrifying insecurity that hell never be able to be anything outside his fathers shadow.

only for his image to break (still need to figure out what the breaking point is lmao) and entire sense of self comes crashing down, he no longer knows what to do nor who he is. kinda like this;

he doesnt get to be the good guy nor redeem himself, but what fascinates me the most abt the epics is how human everyone is. neo is a child, taken from his mothers less than willing arms, forced by himself and his peers to fit in a mold many men couldnt fit let alone him, and yet he did. he did and it stretched him out and left him hollow. left him for dead. potent stuff

the men he thought were comrades had forsaken him, they never cared for him, only when he was of use to them. glorified lapdog indeed.

neo to me is ✨ace✨ (le gasp). i think theres something to be said about the sexual violence that is well i wont say taught per se but is something strongly associated and even expected of war; back when i read silence of the girls (a post for another time lol) priam telling briseis that a fall of a city was always hard on the women folk just slapped me across the face.

i mean aside bearing the brunt of the misogyny and all the fun times it entails, my god the fear and grief and all of the things that come with not only the loss of ones home and kith and kin but also your own body. horrific

neo being ace spec and genuinely uninterested in the physical winnings of war is fascinating to me (not to mention hes still very much a child) and not unlike like the wine above hes aware of this and hell be damned if he falls beind his peers (in his eyes)

i think his tragedy is that he, a child, forces himself to be in places no child should ever be, not only with men but arguably with the worst of them, or at least seeing the long drawn out worst sides of them

so he takes andromache as his slave to like rub it in further bc no one else is worthy of his efforts (he likes the shiny things like daddy dearest) and i mean it as not only is my beloved andi trojan royalty, but he specifically and achilles are both responisble for the loss of her family, something he holds over her head as a constant reminder. its like one of the ways hes exercising power over her. "look what ive done and can continue to do."

and this is not to say that other trojan women didnt lose as much if not more, but here im playing witht the noble becomes a slave angle as opposed to slave to trojans is now slave to achaeans.

for more pain (or less if u squint hard enough) to me andromaches children all die in infancy, which is like quadruple homicide fjdhjsk but i think its almost a kinder fate to her and the bebes than to have neo as their father. i dont think she could look in their eyes. how could she when they served to remind her of all what she had lost?

andi afaik was described as the perfect woman/ wife (in the literature or the commentary im not sure but i do know its a thing) and so having her contain a rage to put achilles' to shame is super interesting to me. one of the very first if not the first ideas i had for willow was her unknowingly saying to neo what achilles had told her husband on the battlefield. bc we all need the kick to the face lol.

her anger and grief consume her and fuels her desire for vengeance, and when she recieves divine instruction who is she to deny lol. this was a whole plot point also (a crackier version) where apollo teams up with andi and they both go to town on neos corpse lmao. and then he steals his wife heh <- inspired by the version of the the myths where neo commits blasphemy or sum and apollo nerfs his ass. funniest shit ever to me. mans has beef with achilles' entire lineage.

she is a character who i think is always looking for somethings. like "sure, almost everything sucks, but at least i have something" and she needs to do that in order to live instead of just surviving because she's been in survival mode for so long. (via my dearest @maruyaaya from this post. rip summerwasjuly i miss u everyday hgfyjh)

After receiving some interaction with this post I made about my feelings on the Undertaker, I wanted to clarify some of the things I said. And give, you know, actual points + evidence for why I don’t like him.

I’ll start by rephrasing that very point. It’s not that I don’t like him as a character, it’s that I think he’s evil. Maybe one of the most evil characters in the series.

@abybweisse left a comment on my post saying how Yana had specified that UT wasn’t the main villain of the story. I agree. But whether or not he’s the main villain of the story doesn’t take away from how evil his actions are.

I’m just going to go ahead and get the main point across, or my main reason for “hating him” ig.

He needed r!Ciel’s body in order to revive him. In order to retrieve his corpse from the sight of the sacrifice, he needed to have known where it was. In order to retrieve r!Ciel’s body before the place fully burned down after being set ablaze by Ciel & Seb, he would have needed to be there when it was happening.

There are numourus theory’s abt it, but I personally believe it’s UT.

Case and point, he must have known that the twins where being held captive by the cult. Whether or not he knew about all the ways they were being abused is kind of irrelevant—I feel that seeing them in the cage would be enough to know they were being harmed.

This biggest thing about him that I just can’t get past is why didn’t he intervene?

Your telling me that the same person who said “I can’t bare to lose another Phantomhive” just sat by and watched as one of these Phantomhives he supposedly cares so much about was murdered right before his eyes? It’s just doesn’t sit right with me.

I’m halfway to believing that he specifically waited for r!ciel (and prob o!ciel) to die so that he could do the whole reanimated corpse thing. But I’m not convinced that will be the main payoff of his actions within the series.

Speaking of his actions…yeah I’m not done.

What is the point of him essentially ruining o!Ciel’s life? Seriously. Framing him for the sapphire music hall incidents, kicking him out of his own home, stripping him of everything he has aside from Seb and his servants. Like- why? What does that do to further his goals (whatever they may be)?

I feel like he could have kept the whole reviving r!ciel thing more…idk personal? Privet? Like revealing to only o!ciel that he’d done that.

And why revive Doll if not to specifically torment o!ciel with a ghost of his past? Or at least to have some sort of negative effect on him?

There are so many questions about the UT, and while we don’t have the answers for them yet, the questions themselves paint him in a very bad light.

Yes, he had some sort of relationship to Claudia. Yes, he cried over the picture of Vincent. He may care about the Phantomhives in some manner, but I can’t help but feel that he doesn’t care about o!ciel. He may have had a few lines that suggest otherwise, but is actions have spoken very loudly through this series.

If I had to put it into a theory, I’d say I think his main reason for doing all of this is that he just want to pit a real human (o!ciel) against one of his reanimated creations (r!ciel) to see which will come out on top. His whole thing has always been laughter and entertainment.

But that’s just the impression I’ve gotten from thinking about the Undertaker and trying to piece his actions together. Do I think this is the real motivation that Yana has in store for him? No. But I just can’t seem to get past it.

I've been musing about it on my IG stories so I wanted to make a post analyzing: ARE Sam and Lyle Sel's FPs or EPs?

I talked about this on the post about Sel's NPDisms and was on the fence abt it, only really talking about if SEL would personally call Sam that

This still applies. Sel himself wouldn't call Sam or Lyle his fps/eps, but that doesn't immediately mean they AREN'T that to him. So let's get into that.

This will touch upon some sensitive matters + vulnerabilities so be cautious while reading...

So. Here's one list I found about what FPs are from this post.

Touching onto my own experiences. I've only had one FP and yeah. From the parts I DO remember, those memories fit this list. Not all FPs may follow this format but for this sake. Let's use it as a checklist.

For Lyle's case. Idk. My nebularomantic ass sees it as more because Sel's deeply in love w Lyle. If he's happy, Sel willl be happy ♡ if Lyle's sad, he'll kill for Lyle ♡ if Lyle's angry, Sel's FURIOUS. I wouldn't really lend it to bpdisms.

As for Sam... with the narc comorbidity, this is somewhat enhanced? Sam is like. Narc supply. If somethings wrong with Sam, then that affects the attention he gives Sel! And he cannot have that. However. It's not like Sel's emotional state depends on Sam's. If Sam's doing outright awful or if he's like. Won the apocalypse lottery, then ok?? But Sel will still care for Sam

-> Emotional state mostly/entirely depends on entirely depending on whether they talk to Sel or not

Come on. Sel's been rawdogging it out here crushing on Lyle without any interaction at all. If we wanted it to be more accurate, pre-visitor sel sometimes had his mood affected by if he happened to see Lyle that day or not. (Sel voice) world is sucks and i hate everything i want everything to diNevermind I saw that cute guy from Apartment 21 today :) everything fine forever. Sel's emotional state is fine without Lyle's interaction.

Sam is a different case. He actively made it a choice to come into Sel's life n do his tasks. He's basically Sel's first friend in the apocalypse. Sel makes it an effort to bug Sam if he doesn't come to his room. He'll kinda explode from narc supply depletion if Sam doesn't visit

-> Them and/or their interests becoming ingrained into most/every aspect of Sel's life

See i feel like most of these for Lyle rely more on the fact that Sel's crushing on Lyle BAD than Lyle being an FP. Pre-Visitor, Sel DID dabble in learning photography tho. And retained only a little. And couldn't reach out to Lyle about it . #lulz? During the apocalypse, though.... Sel DOES get obsessed w Lyle. And like. Mouthpiece. (Sweats so intensely) But again idk if this EXACTLY relates to Lyle being an FP than a crush

As for Sam. It's kind of on accident tbh. As mentioned earlier, Sam is Sel's first apocalypse friend AND being involved with Lyle means that Sel has to keep an ear on Sam MOST OF THE TIME. Because then Sel can tell Sam off for any advances made. Heh. He's such a genius (can we like. Kill sel.) Along with Sel's usual "monitoring" of the building, he ends up focusing on Sam the most

-> Sel's identity being mostly/entirely dependent or based off of theirs

Nnnnoooo??? Question mark? Exactly no for Sam, at least. Sel the Mouthpiece came to be partially because of Lyle, and Mouthpiece came to be because of Lyle's death. But Sel's identity is independent from Lyle, I'd say.

I'm using my own experiences here to compare.. but when I was with my FP I was more or less convinced my status was "FP's best friend" for like. Several years. You couldn't have one without the other. I think Sel is more independent than that. He has his own identity outside of Lyle

Stares at the camera. COME THE FUCK ONNNN MAN. HAVE YOU SEEN SEL. THIS one I can confidently say fits both Sam and Lyle. Fuck everyone else those are the two people who matter to him the most.

So. An EP is explanatory. No exact checklist needed. It's pretty much "does Sel see Sam and/or Lyle as equals?"

And the question is actually. Kinda hard.

As someone w NPD itself, I have a hard time dictating someone as equal or not. I've seen that some people w npd have a "tier list" of sorts, and for mine, while not really structured, i see the factions "people i like", "people i'm okay with" and "people that have to explode like. Now." "People I like" I don't see as inferior but. They're not exactly equal to me either?? It's a weird gray zone. For me it's like. I'm just pretty much superior 2 everyone. I DO have one person is "people i like" that I do feel safe being vulnerable around, but I still don't know if I'd say we're equal.

I see Sel being a similar type. He DOES have people he holds with disdain, but regarding Sam and Lyle's placement...

Lyle is very, very important to Sel. Incredibly important. I've said this before i think but the main reason Sel was able to retain his sanity during mutation was because he desperately wanted to see him again. He's a fag btw. Sel. Kinda holds Lyle on a gay pedestal, ESPECIALLY as a mutant. (Sel voice) sam see I'd be grateful if lyle stalked me. I'll take your place. [<- HE'S INSANE. AND A NARC WITH A WANT FOR ATTENTION.] Sel's only criticism is Lyle's focus on Sam and NOT ON HIM. Sel, pre-Visitor, also held Lyle in this regard, believing Lyle to be too good for him (fade in lyle taking pictures of Sam's room .) So in this way, Lyle is above Sel, rather than equal.

A very big part of Sel and Sam's friendship comes from Sam promising a better world for Sel. It's extremely important. I've talked about it before- even in the earlier sel post I linked i believe- but Sam saying that is a proposal. That's Sam claiming that he'll prove himself as an equal to Sel. And that's charming to Sel. YES sel splits on Sam often, but that doesn't make Sam any less special to him. Idk if I'd exactly put Sam at equal person or not, but Sel sees Sam as someone he deeply trusts

So, if Sam and Lyle aren't exactly Sel's equal persons, what ARE they?

Mai herself

Welp this sounds hilarious. Maybe just… naw not a chance. Got stabbed throughly and the wounds on her hands. About her body, she has a lot of blood at her back rather in front. She most likely died lying down, with the blood oozing out from the back. And she would be either on smooth surfaces like glass or smooth ceramic surfaces? Like the blood can’t be staying on the back of the clothes if there’s cloth helping to stop the oozing from the blood.. I dunno I like guessing

Someone mentioned abt the teleportation of monomoko. It kinda makes a lot of sense for the things in the arsenal to be gone and the body of mai being in the swimming pool without any traces of dragging from the hallway or even if mai has fallen from the pool balcony, there aren’t traces. Monomoko has developed self control over itself and have the ability to do anything it wants. But wouldn’t it be weird. and also abt wada can’t go to the basement, someone explain it in their post. The truffula flower can be made into tea— however, aliens can not drink or eat anything at all. They have no organs. No form of digesting their foods. They are only pure bone, skin/meat, and hair. ^_^ if you were to cut them open. You would only see bones. If you would like to see something like that, I would be more than happy to draw it!

He could be a mix of a shark and alien. I'm the one mainly in charge of the alien features and everything. He's part of the shark ones. I might have to ask him a few things abt his sona :3 I'm not sure how to answer this

Yes, unless if you're closer to the sun or have a star nearby you, you have no form of light. But aliens don't need light. Picture this. You can see the person in front of you, but only... "White outlines?" You can't see their colors, just a shade of black with outlines of what they look like. I'm not sure if this makes sense.

This is going to be a bit disturbing. But, if a dead astronaut is found in an abandoned space shuttle, aliens can use the dead body and "harvest" it to wear the skin. When space-ler wanted to do this, he was scared at first, so he asked his brothers to do it for him.

Their are aliens with curly antennas. When I first used to make alien ocs a year ago around June, my art style was very different. Around April, I changed my art style to look like a cartoon! My art style was inspired by invader zim, Panty and Stocking, and Randy Cunningham 9th grade ninja! Which explains why my art style is blocky and stuff 😭
