WOW OKAY. yeah. WOW, okay. after deeply enjoying @mintywolf’s comic long road home, which i deeply recommend and soothed my soul, i decided to read remember us because i had a feeling it would be something transcendent.

AND OH MY GOD I WAS RIGHT. consider this the most wholehearted recommendation i can give. holy FUCK. a relentlessly heartbreaking love letter to these soulful characters who love each other so much that still somehow manages to acknowledge the awful fates they were tacked with and what that means for them. and WHAT IS FATE, ANYWAY? we make our own fate, motherfucker!! that’s what this fic is!!

imogen loves laudna with everything she has. but laudna was created out of matilda’s pain and suffering, and imogen never wants laudna to suffer. what a converse, twisted web that has been created!! what a perfect exploration of it!
