hey everyone, sorry for not checking in sooner things have been rough. i'm currently sick so i thought now would be a good time to update you all.

the short of it:

-family members keep ending up in the hospital.

-i've been baby sitting a lot (temp. parent of 2)

-i got sick

the long of it: (tw for medical stuff) :

my younger sister was admitted again to the hospital back in September cause she has heart failure, has had it for a few years actually, i have been taking care of her two kids in the meantime, but its has gotten to the point were she is on life support. a lot of things have been going wrong , along with her having suffered two strokes during her stay there and yeah i've been pretty scared of losing her. she's finally off of the ecmo machine (life support that does a lot of the work load for her heart and lungs) and are on two other life support machines, one for her left and right sides of her heart. she still has a long way to go for her recovery.

i have been struggling to keep myself afloat since i've had to cut my hours at work to take care of the kids( doctors appointments and school meetings) and try to complete my care training to look after my sister when she finally can leave the hospital.

not long ago my other sister was sent to the ER cause her pneumonia almost took her out, she was super lucky to survive. then my mom was also sent to the ER cause of her heart, she recovered as well.

i'm still not sure when i'll get to post again, i might get a small break soon idk, my ass is tired lol

argh it always stresses me out so much when I feel worse bc I’m already fighting to try and work up to a baseline where my ‘normal’ routine feels manageable and working at a deficit physically so then when I can’t keep up with stuff like my physical therapy bc I’ve gotta recover all day??? The Fear. STILL we are not out of time, although I am wishing I can feel better every day there is still time to improve…. And one thing that will ensure that I do NOT improve would be to overdo it when I’m doing worse…. Alas my patience and frustration… but we stay silly!

Day 15: Jevin

IV (4) Can hide anywhere due to being a slime but he’s pretty loud and visible when he’s a liquid.

Did not get a very hostile vibe from him.

How is he possible? Slimes should not be this sentient.

-Skizz has never been FISHING this sheltered man

-I love the blobbys they look so stupid and happy I would gladly throw one

-“Did not get a very hostile vibe from him” until he pulls the fire dog trick he did to the POE LOL

-A lot of things with the hermits is “How is this possible” and it’s either actually like how did this happen or Skizz is sheltered but it’s probably the former

Day 16: Scar

IV (4) Uses a ‘wheelchair’ to move most of the time and has no allay or vex wings so it seems like he can’t fly.

From what Cub and Scar say he is pretty clumsy.

Do not know how a vex and allay hybrid is possible, as they are natural enemies, unsure what possible powers could be.

Doesn’t seem like much of a threat.

-Skizz can I come and steal cats with you

-We should have a big lils cuddle pile pls

-Interesting that wheelchair is in quotes, I guess if Skizz has never seen redstone I guess it makes sense if he doesn’t know what a wheelchair is? What the heck is up with the Skizz society-

-I love convex so silly

Day 17: Ren

V (5) He does solo missions outside of the area which implies that he’s able to handle hostiles by himself. Could be pure charisma or he’s a good fighter, haven’t seen or heard anything.

No special abilities that I could detect. Enhanced smell is likely.

Does he represent the hermits as their leader? Who is their leader?

-Skizz definitely has a crush on ren in this universe/hj

-I love the puppers with their glasses and ren needing glasses for his eyes so cute…

-I don’t remember how the hermits refer to mobs, but Skizz just calls them hostiles, which is probably a more formal name for mobs anyway, maybe like sprites in that way

This idea holds no weight if the hermits refer to them as hostiles too

-“Detect” is standing out to me but idk

-Skizz seems to be doubting Ren a lot because of his charisma, if someone goes on missions outside of the hermit area I feel like they should be higher than a 5, but because of Ren’s boisterous attitude maybe he doubts him

Day 18: Shelby

VII (7) Showed off easy manipulation of plants and mud.

What is a swamp dryad? Is hydrokinesis because she’s part nymph? I thought they were supposed to be connected to a tree, not entire biospheres.

Intelligent, very familiar with potions and magic, not just her inherent magic.

Don’t drink anything she isn’t also drinking herself.

-The little shroomlings remind me of Inkay (the pokemon)

-I love the actual evil(?) witch in the swamp vibe she has going on like evil ESMP2 Shelby-

-She definitely throws (telekinetically throws?) mud balls randomly at people to spook them

-Skizz will never trust a drink in hermit land ever again

Day 19: Cleo

VI (6) Doesn’t appear to have all typical gorgon traits. Eye contact was no problem. Maybe they lost those powers to zombie infection must have been severe to interfere with her innate abilities like that.

Regardless, she would be a formidable opponent by size alone.

Fiery attitude feels different from other hermits, more threatening and cutting.

Snake hair means there’s no sneaking up on them.

-I love the zombie infected gorgon cleo…. Very very cool

Is that how it is? She was a gorgon and got infected? I would assume so

-More info on how lils are made, need fresh blood, but there’s still a missing piece on why age matters with lil creation

-Biiiiig Clebert! Skizz and them should fistfight for funsies I wanna see who wins

-I wonder how venomous Cleo’s sneks are :J (scar face)

Day 20: XB

VIII (8) Clearly an adept fighter, fast in the water.

Pure size makes him a threat.

I’ve never heard of the guardian species. The name seems to imply they’re magical in some aspect, but if they are, he didn’t show off.

Unknown what ranged abilities he might have, but is otherwise trapped in deep water.

Not too difficult to avoid so long as you stay on land.

-(very) Long boy

-Never heard of GUARDIANS so Skizz is from somewhere not really near water?

-Skizz: “Stuck in water, not my problem B)” totally, but Enkay did tell me they have aqueducts soooo

-“The minotaurs” so there’s more than one… well definitely beef, it’d be funny if sausage is the other one

-The munchies… love them…

-I’m imagining Oli swimming toward the big serpent man (he doggy paddles)

Day 21: X

IX (9) I don’t know what he is.

I think he’s the leader. Impulse deferred to him before and he’s in charge of the library. He’s the best guess I have so far.

Extremely knowledgeable and collected. He doesn’t need to speak up to get attention.

Always accompanied by the ‘lump’ sprite, even more than his own.

Do not cross or raise suspicion.

You can’t rule entirely with benevolence.

-Again with the lumps! Who the heck has the lumps… I thought it was Keralis for a while but nope- it could be Scott’s since that’s his son

-Still a 9- even the strange leader that Skizz knows nothing about is a 9…at this point on Skizz’s journal entry for himself he’s gonna make himself a 10 because he loves himself/j

-“You can’t rule entirely with benevolence.” Or what if he can?? Huh Skizzle… what if silly Xisuma can…

Or if he can’t, what does he do? Because this society seems really nice, stable, people don’t seem weird…

The impy and pearl headcanons were really cool to read! If it’s alright, though, could I ask for an explanation of FND and of the different types of seizures you talked about? Something my smooth brain can handle 😭

hi hi hello!! thank you for asking!! :] please don’t feel bad about not being able to grasp the entire disorder from a first time search, it’s definitely a complicated thing ^_^

FND stands for functional neurological disorder. it’s more so an umbrella term to describe the odd ways that the brain and body respond to certain stress and stimuli. to put it simply, your brain reacts to certain triggers (examples being physical injury, mental and emotional stress, and/or past trauma) in a way that is similar to that of a seizure, but doesn’t show up in the brain as one. hence why the shutdowns are often referred to as “non-epileptic seizures.”

symptoms can range from subtle to more severe. after exposure to one’s trigger, they may experience loss of balance, weakness (sometimes even paralysis), and uncontrollable body movements. lack of consciousness can even occur, which is when the term “non-epileptic seizure” is most relevant. the person’s senses may also be affected, resulting in numbness, vision and hearing problems, and issues with speaking.

from my experience talking with neurologists and with getting diagnosed myself, i was told that it’s often paired with epilepsy, but it can also be a stand alone disorder!! you can have FND and not be epileptic and vice versa ^_^

i’ve rarely seen it represented or talked about online, let alone in media, so that’s why it’s very important to me whenever i talk about it!! it’s a very complicated disorder and can affect your life in a myriad of ways, and it’s often quite hard to cope with. so i’m happy to spread awareness about it!! and i’m even happier people will listen :]

EDIT: just realized this also asks about the other seizure types i mentioned >.< i can summarize the other two main ones below!!

absence seizures are categorized by being small, sudden, minor seizures that typically span between 15-60 seconds long. while you don’t lose consciousness in the usual passing out sense, most people experiencing an absence seizure will find themselves stuck in a staring spell, and for me, it almost feels like an out of body experience you only realize you had once you’re coming back to. these can sometimes have triggers, other times they will just happen at random.

a grand mal seizure is one of the more extreme cases. these ones can be fatal, given the extreme way the body reacts and the absolute whammy your brain is taking from the seizure itself. for symptoms, think foaming at the mouth, choking, aggressive and uncontrollable body movements, and loss of complete consciousness. these often require multiple days, if not weeks, of time needed to recover, especially if the person was not hospitalized when or after it happened.

Actually! Now that i've started talking about AUs n ideas, I wanna just throw out what I'm working on atm :3

I'm writing little fanfic things for my "Knight Au" (<- name pending. Please help lmao.) Basically, Zedaph slipped into the role of King WAY too suddenly and is. Utterly underprepared. And on top of that, in a hell of a lot of danger. Skizz, the appointed head knight of his father is now his right hand man and bodyguard.

He guides Zed and ultimately decides he absolutely needs help with everything going on. Impulse and Tango, two head knights from another realm are called in as backup. Smth smth "people wouldn't mess with netherborn". It's a new situation for both of them, and they don't really know eachother either - though do find comfort in their shared problems with the change in temperature and weather. Eventually it all leads to them building trust with eachother, so even after the danger has technically subsided, Tango & Impy get to stick around <3

-> basically a whole bunch of knight schenanigans, building trust, romancing eachother and just. Cute fluffy stuff I wanna write <3

I'm semi-writing and mostly designing for my "Villain Au" (i seriously need to find actual names bro). It's not really the classic hero / villain so far? Since all 4 of ZITS are just. Little fucked up little guys. This Au fully indulgent in making them a little edgy and just throwing angst at them :3

I took some of their limbs, rattled their brains around and worsened scars & injuries that were already existant in my normal designs :3 It's really just a playground Au for me to throw them into domestic settings and do the classic "wow he's so hot with blood on him and insanity in his eyes" (<- said all ZITS about the other members of ZITS)

As such, the only writing / drabbling I've done so far is just Hurt/Comfort? Tango experiencing phantom pains and soreness around his prosthetic, Zedaph taking absolute shit care of himself in the name of science- yeah <3

Ren's restful morning at the phantom squall goes awry when BigB arrives with a Grian-shaped problem in tow. Also, Impulse takes a look inside himself. Something there ain't right…

Breakfast at the monthly phantom squall is always a delight, even when they can’t get the full flock in Between. Real icebreaker on full moon nights and the pancakes and milk are free. Plus, you get to watch glittery, shirtless beasts tear into each other, really going at it with their fangs and claws and snapping wings. And since his hands can’t respawn until he’s through a cycle, he’s got Martyn feeding him early morning treats. What could be better?

Poor Impy, Ren thinks anyway, accepting a bite of pancake from Martyn’s fork. Rosejoy’s first spar was meant to be for show, and she won’t get to do a proper fight until they finish making their way up the ranks to her beta. It’ll only be a real match if the guy challenges her legit instead of just for show. That could take hours; it’s the way of the world.

So Rosejoy’s keeping busy by bothering Impulse instead, pestering with comments like “Why aren’t you the captain?” and the more sniffled “I could totally whip Bdubs’ tail, and I’m not just saying that to sound cool.” Impulse looks a weird mix of bugged and flattered. Ren can tell. It’s in the way he bats his tattered demon wings, flaunting even if he can’t play the game.

“Yo, Rosejoy!” Ren calls out. When she twists around, he whispers to Martyn, “Lift the cup, lift the cup,” and Martyn scrambles to do exactly that. He hoists it as though in toast. “You wanna have a go with me? I’m not a phantom, but I think I could take you.”

“Yeah,” Martyn chimes in. “With both hands cycling through the system!”

Rosejoy blinks. “Uh… I’m not into playing with you.”

Nonetheless, Impulse mouths his thanks and takes that moment to slip off. Rosejoy looks around like she can’t believe the massive hunk of junk got away. She hmphs and scampers off on all fours like a squirrel. Well. Problem solved. Ren shrugs, Martyn shrugs too, and they work together so Ren can drink his final sip of milk. Martyn’s chant of “Chug, chug, chug,” drowns in the noise of whatever low-rank fight is happening onstage.

“Ah… Delicious. I wish we had cocoa beans.”

“We do on Dog’s Life,” Martyn says, refilling the cup. Milk sloshes from the pitcher across his wrist; he jumps. His eyes dart up for just a moment before dropping down again. The cup moves towards Ren’s mouth once more. “If you and Joel let me join the flock, I could take care of you all the time.”

“Oh, yes… You know I have fun when you’re around, dude, but you know Joel. He’s…”

“-your captain.”

“One of those, yeah.” Ren takes the sip. Martyn watches in silence, but his tail coils at the tip.

“I hear you… But c’mon, chief- Put in a good word for me and I’ll be at your beck and call. We could take these losers by storm; you know that.”

“You can fight Joel, if you want. That’d be fun to watch.” Ren clears his throat. “For the content.”

Martyn rolls his eyes. The false plant beside him rustles its leaves. “Ren,” someone hiss-whispers, and Ren’s ears prick up. He and Martyn turn as one to the plant. BigB? That sounds just like him; Ren knows the man well after all these years. He sits up, trying to brace his weight on the bandaged stumps of his hands. Ow. Ow.

“BigB, hey! What’s shaking, man?”

“What,” Martyn cuts in, “is that sound?”

Ren hears it too in that moment- the throaty, chirpy call that snaps his code from flame to ice. BigB pokes his head from the leaves, pressing both hands together. He’s not the source of the chirp… and Ren’s ears quiver.

Uh-oh…

“Ren, please… I need your help! It’s Grian. He’s…” BigB struggles with the words a sec, then throws out his arms, gesturing vaguely behind him. “He’s gone total nonverbal on me, dude. I don’t know how to fix this! I’ve never seen him act this way.”

“You flared him?” Ren asks, jumping up. Martyn catches him, stabilizing him, but Ren shuffles to the plant without his help (leaving Martyn to untangle his tail from his chair). BigB’s antennae quiver and he flushes cyan. He parts the plant leaves further, using one cookie-patterned wing to gesture to the hybrid pressed up behind him. At the sight of Ren and Martyn, Grian starts and shifts behind BigB. Still… he butts his head against BigB’s shoulder. His wings, usually scarlet mixed with gold and blue, glitter purple and translucent now like glossy resin. Pretty sparkles…

Ren flicks his eyes back and forth between them. He looks at Martyn. Martyn… gawks. He looks at Grian, looks at Ren, then turns to look at the phantom squall behind them. They’d been sitting off to the side to begin with; most eyes still seem centered on the fight. “Should I get Etho?” he asks. “I think he’s around.”

Get Etho? For a flare? Grian nuzzles into BigB’s arm, hands all over him like he’ll climb on his shoulder if given the chance. He might try, even without golden carrots to buff the touch barrier… It’s a full moon flare and parrots are programmed to do that. BigB turns to catch him and Ren says, “I don’t think there’s anything Etho can do? Doc’s still working on the server core; we just have to wait it out. Get him somewhere safe. Is his room okay?”

“Oh.” Martyn leans forward with more interest now. “Wait- Is this a flare? I’ve never seen one before. I mean, I never got that talk from my parents.”

Yeah, what’s with the flare? Ren turns on BigB again, who throws him a guilty look as blue sparks flush his cheeks. “I’m flattered you came to me, dude, but…” Ren holds up his injured arms. “I need a respawn before I’ll be much help.” He holds back; he holds back. He doesn’t press for details- doesn’t ask why in Between BigB thought this would be a good idea. “Hey, hey,” he says, shuffling forward as the twittery, chirping Grian makes another attempt to clamber into BigB’s arms. “Okay… It’s okay, dude; these things happen. Who’s his contact? Mumbo’s over there.”

“His contact for what?” BigB asks, blinking like his vision’s bleary. It probably is- his and Grian’s pixels crackle and blur around their faces. Grian’s whining now, flapping his wings. He wants to go up. In fact, as Ren watches, Grian backs up several steps and smacks his wings for take-off. Oh, snap. Ren gets between them fast, wrenching BigB around the plant. Flip no! If BigB’s saying No, he’s saying No. Ren snaps his fangs at Grian and settles on a growl. Grian squawks and tucks in his wings… but he doesn’t back away.

“Ren?” Martyn asks. “What… What’s going on? Can I help?”

“He’s flared,” Ren says over his shoulder, but when both Martyn and BigB make their verbal question mark noise back at him, he clarifies as, “He needs supervision. He’s flared and moon-riled. Since it’s a full moon night, he’s tipped into his mob state. He’s not going back to standard unless he’s on a server or the moon starts to wane; he’s running through his idle behaviors right now.” And when that still doesn’t get a response, he finishes with, “He wants uppies.”

Helsknight knows he, as The Dark Knight and Scourge of the Realm, should be doing more death, destruction and pillaging. It's part of his job description, and he should know better than to shirk his duties.

Problem is he got sidetracked by Impulse, the a lake mer, after Impulse stole his sword that Hels left unshithed on his boat while on a quick fishing trip. Now he's wasted a month on that lake not trying to catch Impy not only to get his sword back, but also to capture the sneaky little mer who stole it and use him as a trophy.

The villagers and Wels don't mind though. Gives them all time to rebuild without an evil knight coming in just to knock it all down again, and Wels enjoys the time off to focus on writing sea shanties.

Impulse has, similarly, been having a great time. He knows if something happened then the local village would help him. He's looking after them, after all!

The sword is cool, and very shiny. Impulse loves looking at it. Almost as much as he likes looking at its owner. He knew the only way to get his attention would be to steal it, so that's what he did. Now he's got the sword, and the knight following him around!

Impulse will have to figure out a way to draw him back once the knight gives up. But, that's not happened yet. He'd say this is working splendidly.

What is Impurity and Amity’s relationship like?

Impurity and Amity are twin sisters!!

They love each other a lot, despite the way they often disagree on the way to handle situations. Impurity is infamous for their headstrong and mischievous nature, often putting herself and others in trouble for the sake of entertainment. Amity, on the other hoof, is naive and a bit meek. She tries her best to stay out of the way, and often stumbles into solutions through pure cartoonish luck.

Impurity causes problems on purpose, but Amity solves them by accident. They got their cutie marks on the same day at the exact same time, but separated on complete opposite ends of Ponyville, doing very different things. <:)

They call each other short, loving nicknames (Impi and Ami, respectively), and they love to give their other friends similar nicknames. In fact, it was Impurity who first called Narcotix "Nar-Nar", which others in their friend group picked up--much to Narcotix's friendly annoyance.

Chapisode 4: Thaymor (pt4)

The battle started at the shout of two young rebels. Blood followed.

Impulse managed to blast two rebels, even though he was reluctant. He always was in... this part of the job. He did manage to hold the perimeter though, that was good.

The battle lasted painfully long. Until Princess Glimmer arrived with another rebel soldier and..."Adora?" Impulse said half to himself. Adora was the star cadet from Tango-A and a role model for some of the cadets. She was in uniform...ish... but wore a flower in her hair, was taking off a sparkly blue cloak and was walking side by side with a princess.

She was running into the heat of battle until a tank rolled over the rubble of what used to be a well to block her way; out stepping another Tango-A cadet, Catra, Adora's infamous partner in crime.

They were just out of Imp's earshot, but he could see them pretty well. At least he could see Adora's back pretty well.

They looked like they were greeting eachother. Catra point at the flower and Adora hastily took and dropped it. A sentence or two later, Adora gestured to the smoking remains of the insurgent village. When he saw her face, it was pleading... what did she want, though?

Catra laughed... probably. Adora continued. Bdubs 'got' another rebel, but Impy hardly took notice. Catra paused before pulling an 'obviously' gesture complete with a mean grin. Adora recoiled as Catra continued.

Adora cut her off, spoke and took Catra's hands in hers, asking her something.

Something about it made Impulse... feel something. He didn't know what but it was sort of confusing, yet freeing at the same time.

Catra looked hurt, speaking for a while this time. Adora tried to respond but Catra zapped her with a baton before she could finish.

Adora rose, coughing, and the two back and forthed a while longer, body language seeping hostility. Conversation was broken by the arrival of the soldier and Glimmer from earlier, Glimmer using some weird princess magic to teleport Adora to who knows where.

"Dude, are you ok?" Bdubs said out of the blue, shooting another rebel, "You've just been staring over there a couple minutes now.

Impy snapped out of it, "Oh? Oh yeah, I'm good, I'm good.

"Bdubs sighed, "Good, cuz I thought you dozed off bac-"

A flash of light from beside them cut him off.

A no joke GLOWING warrior princess walked, just walked, out from the cover of the Whispering Woods, sword in hand. She looked suspiciously like Adora. She walked into the centre of the Horde's circle, too close to Imp and B, and thrust her sword into the ground.

Golden lightning cracked the rubble dusted rock beneath them, throwing half the Horde forces off balance. People tried to fight her, but she crushed them as if swatting away flies. Soldier, robot, skiff, tank, nothing.

It was terrifying.

Bdubs was the one who ordered the retreat. A cadet was in no position to do that, but then and there, that was the least of their problems.

As Impulse boarded the skiff, he risked a glance back. Adora, holding that petrifying sword, her hair down like the warrior princess'.

Adora was the warrior princess. Adora had fought against the Horde. That was the feeling Impulse had gotten earlier:

Rebellion.

I can try to explain what’s happening, so essentially mimicyn and rainbow both lost something after the sanitization by kamabo co and what that stupid damn bear Grizz did that time, rainbow lost her siblings, and then Impy “left them to rot” since both you and Impy returned to the surface without a problem..other then you getting amnesia, and then I kinda lost one of my friends to the calamari inkantation…
