Here's my question. What do you think would change, if Snape was female?
Because... like... I don't think it would change much? His family trauma doesn't seem to have a specifically *gendered* component... his bullying from James - maybe does? Like James might bully a Fem!Severus differently? (Or then again, maybe not.) Fem! Severus would still be weird, poor, dark arts/slytherin aligned, not attractive (to James)... but also a big draw on Lily's time and affection in a way that James wouldn't like.
I don't think it would changed his relationship with - Dumbledore, the Malfoys, Lupin. Bellatrix might... possibly hate a Fem!Severus more? Like see her as more of a rival? But she already does seem his as a rival, so. I'm not even sure a Fem!Severus would dress or wear her hair any differently.
Tumblr media
Very interesting ask. 👁️👁️ I agree that not much would have changed but I do see a few little things here and there which, once you addition them, could make her act a little differently...
Childhood
She would still experience a pretty miserable life at Spinner's End, but she might have felt a bit less awkward with wearing her mother's clothes, thus making her maybe a bit less socially stunned.
She would still meet Lily and not get along with Petunia.
Hogwarts
You pointed out the most important and obvious point already: the bullying. Not that it would have not taken place - guys can absolutely bully women - but considering the time period I suspect Sirius and James's pureblood upbringing would have influenced the way they interacted with Fem!Severus.
First, their first encounter on the Hogwarts Express might have been less aggressive. I think James and Sirius would have been taken aback and super weirded out by this poor, unpleasant and ugly girl, but I don't think they'd have insulted her as harshly/tried to make her trip or nicknamed her. Maybe some things would have been salvageable then - not talking about friendship here (pretty impossible) but just... being civil?
It's pretty certain James would have still been jealous of Fem!Severus for hanging around Lily but he wouldn't have needed to prove he had the bigger pair - which was a good chunk of what it was in canon imo. He would still tease her and ridicule her verbally in front of Lily but maybe less viciously. Fem!Severus would still fight back so this could escalate to jinxes but still, it has the potential to be way tamer overall.
As for Sirius, I think he could have seen some of his mother in Fem!Severus, which could have resulted in either: wanting to bully her even more OR unconsciously trying to avoid her. I can see her making him super uncomfortable. I'm personally leaning toward the latter option. A man he could be violent with - no problem - but a woman? Hm. I'm unsure.
If the bullying was lessened, then I don't think it would go as far as the Prank or SWM, because pantsing a girl, even one you really don't like, even one who might be interested in the Dark Arts, seems super extreme coming from two pureblood boys. The 'boys will be boys' excuse functions better between all boys in this instance. I think this would have felt ickier for everybody around them. Tho if the Prank did happen, Dumbledore wouldn't move a finger either, that's for sure.
No SWM means no 'mudblood' incident. This being said, I don't think her relationship with Lily would have changed much. What drove them apart isn't related to gender and it's pretty clear Lily wanted to distance herself anyway. SWM was an excuse so she would find another one.
Also less bullying doesn't mean she wouldn't become a DE because she would still crave a place and be susceptible to Riddles' promises.
First War
I do wonder how it would have changed her relationship with Lucius Malfoy tho? As a young man he may have kept a bit more distance between them as to not start rumors? So maybe she would have gotten less support from him? But maybe she could have become friends with Narcissa and it would have been the same (I like that idea).
Dumbledore would have maybe been less harsh with her when she first came to him or when the Potter died, since he would maybe project less of himself and Gellert in her... but he would definitely have still manipulated her the same way. Dumbledore is a lot of things, but he's not sexist.
Harry
Later in life, since she wouldn't be as traumatized, she would have been less triggered by Harry's resemblance to James, thus making their relationship less disastrous. She would be cold and distant but less cruel. She would also have been able to teach him Occlumency more successfully, which could have changed quite a few things plot-wise...
Second War
I also agree with the idea of Bellatrix being jealous. I really see it. She would certainly try to slander her/hex her viciously in order to get rid of her. This would have maybe made Fem!Severus' work way harder. Maybe this would have resulted in her trying to get rid of Bellatrix.
I wouldn't be surprised if during the Second War many DE thought Voldemort and Fem!Severus were somewhat of an item. He was pretty fond of Severus after all... and if Bellatrix proved to be too annoying and Voldemort ended up getting rid of her it would rightfully start some rumors. Maybe Dumbledore would have tried to encourage it even? I don't know if that's really his style but I wouldn't get it past him to suggest it at the very least.
Conclusion
So... yeah. I don't see this many changes (I may have overlooked some things). Severus is already pretty female coded in many ways (his writing, the way he talks, moves, his interest in potions, the way his (very valid) feelings are dismissed etc.) and in a Fem!AU, many interesting things could be explored in the way people would interact with her.
But I do think she could be less traumatized and more self-assured. Maybe she would have enough mental energy as an adult to create spells and potions. She wouldn't dislike Harry as much and maybe have a bit more self-preservation in regard of Dumbledore's plans for her. I don't see her being ready to sacrifice herself as fully as canon!Severus. She'd have a few backups.
But she would still wear a grey nightshirt.
And have pretty perky little boobs.

Please tell us more about Voldemort's relationship with Severus, and why you think it differs so much from Voldemort's other relationships
Tumblr media
Whatever it is that lingers between Tom and Severus—power, manipulation, some dark bond none of us can fully grasp—it naturally ignites chaos in the mind of the beholders. And if you’re eager to feel that burn, I’ll gladly embrace you in it. To you brave, reckless souls, I say this: your wish is my command.
Tumblr media
So, here we are, picking apart how Severus Snape—mudblood, poor, and bruised from the heavy hand of a Muggle father—managed to land himself a spot at the table with the most rabid pack of blood purists you’ve ever seen. A table, mind you, he had no business sitting at. The Death Eaters, that tight little clique of privileged purebloods, had no real reason to let in this scruffy little outsider. Sure, Snape was useful. Very useful. His skills were sharp as knives, and he could do their dirty work, get his hands filthy so they didn’t have to. But useful doesn’t mean welcome. Useful doesn’t mean accepted. You know who else was useful? Fenrir Greyback and his mangy lot. They brought terror to the doorsteps of half the wizarding world, and did Voldemort’s cause no small service. But did they get a place at the inner circle? Did they get respect? Hell no. They were the dirt beneath the boots of the real Death Eaters. Useful filth. And then there’s Snape, embodying everything these purists claim to despise—a half-blood with a tainted surname, living in squalor, dragged through the muck by a Muggle brute of a father. By all accounts, Death Eaters should have spat in his face and tossed him out like yesterday’s rubbish. But no. Not only does he get a seat at the table, he rises. He’s placed on a pedestal, standing closer to Voldemort than some of the most loyal, purest-blooded lackeys in the room. Voldemort, in all his cold-blooded glory, didn’t just tolerate Severus. He raised him up, right in front of their sneering, offended faces. Now, here’s where it gets really interesting. If you think Voldemort did this out of some sense of gratitude, you’ve missed the point entirely. Tom Riddle doesn’t do gratitude. That kind of sentiment is beneath him, an alien concept. Voldemort doesn’t reward; he uses. Deeds done in his name are expected, not appreciated. You’re not going to get a pat on the back from a man who thinks the world owes him its loyalty. Snape’s service should’ve earned him nothing more than a brief reprieve from pain. A loosening of the noose around his neck, if he was lucky. That’s Voldemort’s way—keep them all desperate, keep them all afraid. So why did Snape, of all people, get raised up? Why did he, the least likely among them, become a favorite?
Tumblr media
Mind, it’s not just me declaring Snape as Voldemort’s favorite. That dark, twisted bond is laced into nearly every interaction between the two, as if something unspoken and festering passes between them. But it’s Narcissa Malfoy who lays it bare. A woman born into the highest echelons of pure-blood privilege, the very foundation on which Voldemort’s so-called supremacy stands, doesn’t hesitate when she calls him “the Dark Lord’s favorite, his most trusted advisor.” Let that sink in.
Here is the wife of Lucius Malfoy, a man whose lineage is steeped in the darkest of traditions. But when her family’s future is on the edge of a wand, when her son’s life dangles by a thread, she doesn’t rely on Lucius, doesn’t turn to Bellatrix. No, she comes to Severus, because deep down, she knows. They all do.
It’s something more insidious, something that slips through the cracks in the floorboards of Voldemort’s ideology. He is the one Voldemort trusts, the one Voldemort leans on, the one whose counsel can shift the dark winds of fate. That is real power, raw and untouchable. Narcissa sees it—how could she not? Even with all her aristocratic pride, even with the weight of her name and her family’s legacy pressing down on her, she understands that none of it means a damn thing next to what Snape has. Narcissa, with her family’s long, proud heritage, has to grovel before someone who, by the very logic of Voldemort’s cause, should be inferior. But Snape is different, and everyone knows it. They may not say it, they may not even want to admit it, but they know. He operates outside the lines, above the fray, immune to the very rules that were meant to keep people like him down. Snape, the half-blood, the one with the muddied past, holds a kind of sway that no one else in Voldemort’s ranks can claim.
Tumblr media
Oh, there comes the bitter irony of Peter Pettigrew. After years of scraping and groveling, thinking he’d earned his place in the Dark Lord’s favor, Peter is handed over like a rag for Severus to wring out. Peter, one of the smug Marauders who’d gleefully hounded Snape through school, reduced now to something just shy of a house-elf, bowing and cringing under Snape’s very roof. A cruel twist of fate, no doubt arranged with Voldemort’s signature malevolence. Was this some attempt to plant a spy in Snape's house? Maybe, if you take it at face value. But think for a moment—Voldemort, who couldn’t pry Snape's treachery from his skull with all the power of Legilimency, putting his trust in Wormtail to do the job? The rat that couldn't outsmart a dormitory prank, never mind a master of deception like Severus?
No, this isn’t espionage; this is karma. Cruel, twisted karma orchestrated by the Dark Lord himself. You can almost picture Severus watching Peter scuttle about his house, casting him those withering, superior glances—knowing full well that Tom has given him this indulgence, this little taste of vengeance. Snape treats Wormtail with open contempt, because he knows he can. He knows it’s allowed, expected even. It’s as if the tables have turned in the most bitter of ways, a humiliating reversal of fortune. Pettigrew, who once revelled in Snape’s humiliation, now reduced to the lowest of roles, while Snape—Voldemort’s golden boy—sits at the top. Isn’t it delicious? You’d have to be blind to chalk it up to coincidence. Moreover, Pettigrew’s fate is all the proof you’ll ever need that Voldemort’s rule isn’t founded on something as simple or sentimental as loyalty. Loyalty? Sacrifice? Please. Pettigrew’s life was one long, groveling act of desperation to stay in the Dark Lord’s good graces. You bring your master back from the brink of death itself, and still, all you get is contempt. Voldemort demands service, sure. But service? Guarantees nothing. And when you set Severus and Peter side by side, the question gnaws at you. Why? Why is Snape the favored one, the exception, the enigma in Voldemort’s otherwise brutal, predictable hierarchy? What makes him different? There’s something between them—something that doesn’t follow the usual logic of power and punishment. Voldemort doesn’t just tolerate Snape’s defiance; he rewards it, bends the system to accommodate it. Something unspoken, something hidden behind the masks they both wear, grants Snape a level of favor that Pettigrew could only dream of.
Tumblr media
What’s crucial to grasp here is that Voldemort doesn’t spare anyone. His entire ideology is rooted in cruelty, in domination, in the ruthless obliteration of all who oppose him. He doesn’t just eliminate enemies; he obliterates them, wipes them from existence without a second thought. And yet, here’s the anomaly: Lily Evans, mother of Harry Potter, a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and a Muggle-born witch, is offered a chance to live. Live. This decision, however, is directly tied to Snape. Snape had begged Voldemort to spare her, and it is this plea—Snape’s plea—that softens the Dark Lord’s otherwise unyielding cruelty.
To truly grasp the enormity of this act, we need to take a step back and consider Snape’s position in all of this. Remember, Severus was just 21 years old when he found himself pleading with Voldemort, one of the most dangerous dark wizard in history, to spare Lily Evans.
Snape wasn’t the imposing, confident figure we often associate with him thanks to Alan Rickman’s performance—he wasn’t a man exuding quiet menace, seemingly capable of standing toe-to-toe with Voldemort. No, at this point in canon, he was barely more than a boy, a young man fresh out of Hogwarts, with no powerful lineage or wealth to protect him.
And yet, despite this—despite the sheer imbalance of power between them—Snape dared to approach Voldemort. Voldemort. With a plea. Not for himself, but for a Muggle-born witch. At best, Snape’s request might have been laughed off, dismissed as the desperate wish of a foolish young Death Eater. But it wasn’t. For some reason, Voldemort didn’t just tolerate Snape’s plea—he actually acted on it.
Consider how critical this moment was to Voldemort’s larger agenda. At the heart of his entire scheme is a singular, consuming fixation: the annihilation of the child prophesied to be his undoing. Harry Potter is Voldemort’s obsession, the one threat he must eliminate to secure his dominion. The Potters were no longer just enemies—they were the key to his future, and Harry was the focus of his most crucial mission. In this context, sparing anyone even remotely connected to Harry was an extraordinary risk. Leniency wasn’t just unnecessary—it was dangerous. By showing mercy to Lily, Voldemort risked undermining his own carefully constructed agenda. And this wasn’t a moment where Voldemort could afford to make mistakes.
This unprecedented act of “mercy,” this concession Voldemort granted Snape, became the very thing that led to his downfall. Had Voldemort simply killed Lily Evans on the spot, as he did James, she would never have had the chance to sacrifice herself for Harry. The protection her sacrifice invoked—the ancient magic that saved Harry’s life and turned Voldemort’s killing curse back on him—would never have existed. Voldemort, the cold strategist, fell because he didn’t bend for anyone—except, inexplicably, for Snape. And that single, dangerous deviation cost him everything. That’s how it’s all started.
Tumblr media
And there it is— how it’s all ends. Voldemort’s final words to Severus Snape before he executes him. But pay attention to how he begins. “Clever man,” he calls him. He suggests that Snape might’ve already known the truth of the Elder Wand’s treachery. Tom would never acknowledge someone’s cleverness if it undermined his own intellectual abilities. If he implies that Snape may have already unraveled the mystery of the Elder Wand, it undoubtedly indicates that Voldemort had recognized Snape’s crucial role in the wand’s problems long before. It’s not just idle chatter or casual flattery. No, it’s a bloody confirmation that Voldemort himself had long ago pieced together the mystery of Snape’s involvement with the wand. This wasn’t some last-minute realization that forced his hand. It wasn’t ignorance that delayed Snape’s death, not at all. It was deliberation. Voldemort, for all his cruelty, wasn’t stupid. He suspected, long before that moment, that Snape was at the center of the problem with the wand’s loyalty. He just chose not to act on it until the very last moment.
He held back from executing him, searching for any other way around the wand’s limitations, trying to find a solution that didn’t involve killing Snape. But when it came down to it, when all other options were exhausted, Voldemort finally made his move.
Tumblr media
And what does he do? He delivers a speech. A bloody speech, full of regret and excuses—“I regret what must happen.” Does that sound like the Voldemort we know? The Dark Lord who kills without a second thought, who carves his empire from the bones of the disobedient? Hell no. This is the man who thrives on fear, on swift, brutal punishment. And yet, here he is, delivering justifications like some guilty executioner. This isn’t Voldemort’s usual method. This isn’t the whip coming down fast and hard. This is something altogether more… hesitant.
That speech, soaked in rationalizations, tells us everything we need to know. Snape’s death wasn’t just business—it was personal. It’s a messy, ugly end to the unexplainable dynamic between them. Even at the very end, Voldemort is bending, twisting, trying to justify his actions to the one man who had managed to worm his way under his skin. And in that second, we see something rare—a glimpse of the complexity in their relationship. Voldemort’s usual ruthless efficiency is absent.
Tumblr media
His “I regret it,” spoken once more, stands out like a blade in the gut, sharp and unexpected, slicing straight through Voldemort’s usual cold indifference. The Dark Lord, who has never spared a thought for the wreckage in his wake, lets these words hang in the air, unnatural as they are. A man who’s never known the weight of remorse now offers something that almost feels like regret. Not true regret, of course—Voldemort doesn’t have the luxury of feeling something so weak, so human. But still, It’s not a sentiment he offers to anyone else. It’s almost as if Voldemort doesn’t know how to process this lingering attachment, as though Snape’s mere existence demands something from him that Voldemort is incapable of giving. Snape occupies some strange corner of Voldemort’s mind, twisted and dark it may be, that not even the Dark Lord himself seems to understand. Despite the fact that I’ve painted a whole canvas of tangled thoughts on the strange relationship between Severus and Tom, I’ve barely begun to tug at the thread of their inexplicable dynamic. There’s so much more I could unearth, layers of intrigue and tension that ripple through every scene between them, and I could easily go on for hours about the small, delicious details woven into their story. But, as it happens, my full-time job is already sharpening its knife and aiming for my back, so I'll have to bring this whole saga to a close with the following quote:
Tumblr media
For me, the intensity of this scene speaks volumes about their relationship, capturing the very essence of what makes these two so bloody fascinating. The way their gaze alone can make Death Eaters flinch under the weight of their unspoken understanding. It’s not fear, not exactly. It’s something colder, something deeper. As though they’re witnessing a bond forged in the dark, a grim understanding that none of them can ever be a part of.
That’s what keeps dragging me back to these two. The tension, the labyrinth of contradictions, the complex tangle of manipulation. I want to look away—hell, I should look away, just like the Death Eaters did. But there’s something about it, something that coils around me, tightening like a serpent’s embrace. Can you blame me?

Hello! I saw your blog post about fanfiction where Snape becomes Draco's godfather, and I also have a question. If a Drarry fanfiction portrays Snape as being very close to Draco or having ambiguous relationships with Lucius or Narcissa, I would stop reading that story. However, it's true that Snape does show favoritism towards Draco. I don't know why?
We don't really see Severus and Lucius interact, but we do hear that they're friends, or at least *friendly.* Sirius calls Snape Lucius' "lapdog," and Narcissa calls him Lucius "oldest friend." We see Prefect!Lucius patting Baby!Snape on the back right when he's being sorted into Slytherin, and adult Lucius is talking up Severus to Umbridge.
We also get a lot of power struggle/tension between various death eaters (since Voldemort likes to play them off each other...) Bellatrix vs Narcissa, Bellatrix vs Lucius, Snape vs Bellatrix, Snape vs Peter, Peter vs Barty. But not Snape vs Lucius, and Narcissa is definitely friendly enough with him to know where he lives, and go to his house to ask for a pretty huge favor. The scene is written ambiguously on purpose (is Snape loyal to Dumbledore or to Voldemort? wait until the next book to find out!) But Narcissa certainly seems to at least believe that "Draco's in trouble, we need to protect him" and "You've been Lucius' friend for a long time" are arguments that would like... mean something to Snape?
To me, Draco totally reads like the *type* of teacher's pet who knows the teacher outside of school. He's very comfortable with Snape, and Snape does tend to praise/give special treatment to *Draco* (and not like, Pansy or Blaise or whoever.) I mean I know why, the writing is generating conflict for Harry by giving the rival he *specifically* has a problem with power. But the side effect is that Snape comes across as just... liking Draco.
I think it's totally plausible that Snape is a family friend. Making him Draco's godfather would be fanon, but an extension of that idea. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "ambiguous" relationship - Snape definitely has some kind of relationship with the Malfoys, and it doesn't seem like they're enemies. You could say they're friends, allies, Snape likes Narcissa but puts up with/flatters Lucius, Snape doesn't like either of them but staying within their social circle is necessary for the spy thing. If you go with a darker, more manipulative Lucius, then maybe Severus has complicated, messy feelings about him. It could even be romantic. I think Severus/Narcissa/Lucius, or any pairing within that is lot of fun.
I also think that Lucius is hugely responsible for Snape becoming a Death Eater. And, the Lucius of the second half of the series, who is starting to have cold feet and misgivings about this whole Voldemort thing... would feel some sort of way about that.

drarry - fake dating - muggle au
“Repeat what I just said back to me,” Draco instructed.
"Narcissa is your mother. I need to be polite, but not overly so because she can detect insincerity. Lucius is your father and is to be ignored at all costs. Ted is your uncle and a sworn enemy of your father, so they won't interact much, meaning he'll probably sit next to me at the table. Andromeda, the cool aunt, is sharp and may catch on to our act. Dora, the cousin, is laid-back and won't mention anything if they notice something is off. And then, of course, there's the forbidden aunt, Bellatrix. No mentions whatsoever. By the way, why bring up someone we're not allowed to talk about? I wouldn't have mentioned someone I didn't even know existed," Harry recited, kicking his feet up onto the immaculately clean dashboard of Draco’s obscenely expensive car.
Draco swatted at Harry's legs, admonishing, "That's dangerous, Potter. Ever heard of airbags?" as he navigated the sleek car through the winding, frosty country roads.
Rolling his eyes, Harry had a quip ready, but Draco continued his lecture before he could respond, "I told you about Bellatrix because forewarned is forearmed, Potter. It's better you know exactly what not to say instead of asking some insipid question like 'Do you have any other siblings?'" Draco explained, glancing briefly at Harry before returning to the road.
Harry leaned back in his seat, a smirk playing on his lips. "Harry."
Draco shot him a sidelong glance. "What?"
"Harry. You need to call me Harry, not Potter. I am your boyfriend, after all."
“Must I?”
Harry chuckled, “Well if you want this charade to be even the slightest bit convincing, you’ll have to make an effort. Wouldn’t want your family thinking we’re not madly in love, now would we?”
“Madly in love? Let’s not get carried away. Tolerably in a relationship is already pushing it,” Draco’s glare was piercing.
Harry grinned at the sharpness in Draco's words, the rigid posture he maintained, hands perfectly placed at 10 and 2 on the wheel. Pretending to be in love with the arrogant bloke would be a breeze, Harry thought; his real challenge was acting like he wasn't most days.
"So, does that mean open-mouthed kissing is off the table in front of your parents?" Harry asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
"I can't believe I agreed to this," Draco muttered, taking a sharp left turn.
Harry instinctively grabbed the handle, suppressing a grin. "Agreed? Malfoy, you practically begged me in the locker rooms to do this."
"Begged? I did no such thing. It was merely a mutually beneficial arrangement."
Harry raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Mutually beneficial? So, what's the benefit for me, exactly?"
Draco scoffed. "The pleasure of my exquisite company, obviously."
Harry laughed, shaking his head. “You are insufferable, you know that?”
Draco ignored his insult, opting instead to reach for the dial to turn the music up a bit louder. 'It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' filled the car with a sweet, smooth voice and tinkling bells. Harry turned to rest his head against the cool glass of the car window, taking a moment to enjoy the views.
The road was narrow, and every visible surface was coated in fresh white snow. Tree branches bent under the weight, and small bits of flurry fell from the sky. In the distance, cottages with windows aglow and smoke puffing from their chimneys added to the picturesque scene.
It was a pleasant surprise, spending time with Malfoy like this. Three years into playing on their university football team together, this was the first time they had spent any time alone, just the two of them, not surrounded by their teammates, coaches, and friends.
“How did your parents take it when you told them?” Harry asked.
“Told them what?”
“That you’re gay.” Harry chuckled, “I always wonder how my parents would have reacted, you know? Like if they were still here.”
“Potter, are you dense? This is me telling them.”

Prompt 5 - Operation
Wolfstar, February 5, word count 849
Previous part First part
One year previously
Sirius had decided that he didn’t want to just leave the family again. This time, he was going to take it down completely. But to do that, he needed time and to play the perfect little heir. So, he shut himself away from anyone he had even an ounce of attraction for. He couldn’t risk blowing everything because he needed a shag. Barty helped. He continued to hurl insults at Sirius to keep him from temptation. On the plus side, his good behaviour apparently had rewards. His parents had deemed it suitable for him to be in charge of the day-to-day running of the Black Star hotel chain, but only the ones in and around London. They didn’t want him straying too far. It came with the use of the secret penthouses above the ones they sold to customers. He utilised them as best he could, barely spending more than a night a week in his actual home.
On an exploration of one of the City hotels, he discovered that there was a secret passage that led from the top floor all the way into the basement and up into the alley behind the hotel. He found he could slip out undetected. It was freeing to know he could have this one little bit of freedom where he wasn’t under the watchful eye of his mother's little minions.
He’d found it strange that while the washers and dryer were always on, there didn’t seem to be anyone in the laundry room whenever he passed through it, but according to the staff list, there was someone in there every day. Different ones on the weekend. But the main one, a Remus Lupin, was supposed to be in there all week, but Sirius had never laid eyes on him. He’d shrugged in the end, the work was getting done, and if this guy wanted to slack off, who was he to judge?
It was the secret passage through which he and Barty met up in person to plot his family’s downfall.
“No, Barty, we can’t leave anything for them to pick up. They could transfer everything to Bella or Cissa’s husband.” Sirius shook his head as he explained why Barty’s pan wouldn’t work.
“Oooo, tall blonde and haughty, yes, please,” Barty purred. Sirius threw a throw pillow at him.
“And here I thought you had an ounce of taste,” He gagged, thinking about Lucius Malfoy and his oily self-importance. “I have no idea why Cissa picked him when she could have picked anyone she wanted. Princess of the family and everything.” Sirius had always got along with Narcissa. They shared a love of over-the-top dramatics and a sense of humour. He’d watched as Lucius had quickly staunched that and had her acting like all the other stuck-up young ladies that he was forced to interact with. At least she still wasn’t so bad a Bellatrix.
“Yeah, yeah, alright, calm down,” Barty laughed. “Let’s get back to Operation Black Hole,”
“Barty, we are not calling it that,” Sirius complained for the tenth time.
“But it works so well,” Barty whined, but stopped when Sirius raised a brow at him warningly. Barty’s joy left him, and he slumped down in his chair.
“You look so much like Reg when you do that,” He said quietly. Sirius put down his pen and hugged Barty.
“Sorry,” he said softly into his ear, Barty’s soft hair tickling his face. Barty had moments like this. Sirius knew he tried to keep everything hidden under a bratty, jokey veneer, but Sirius knew a mask when he saw one and could see the pain hidden inside Barty.
“What about you,” Barty said, breaking the sad silence in the room.
“Hmm?” Sirius hummed, unsure what Barty meant.
“If we take everything down, what about you? What will you do for money?” He asked. Sirius shrugged.
“No idea, but it’ll be fun figuring it out. I still own my flat, so I’ll have that to fall back on, and my personal savings can’t be touched, so I can survive on that for a while,” Barty nodded gently.
“Good, I wouldn’t want you to have nothing at the end, not after everything you’re having to do to keep them happy,” Sirius hugged him harder. Barty was becoming so important to him. Not romantically, more like a more annoying brother than Regulus had ever been and one that he would quite happily throw in the Thames if it would shut him up for five seconds. “Come on then,” Barty chirped, his mask back in place. “Let’s iron out Operation Black Hole and get this show on the road.”
“For the last time, Barty, we are not calling it Operation Black Hole,” Sirius growled before jumping on Barty and knocking him to the floor as they wrestled. He wondered what the people below would think. Probably that the hotel had giant rats in its attic. Oh well, he thought as he pinned Barty’s arms behind his back and started laughing as Barty tried to squirm free. “I win this one, Crouch.”

Now that you've read PJO: would you say that your perception of Annabeth and Percy has changed? I remember you had some dislike to her character before you started reading the book and I was wondering if that was still tha same thing and how you likened Percy with Harry as protagonists
Hi anon! That's a good question! I was planning on drafting up a post relating to this :)
Let me start with Annabeth. I entered PJO fandom not really knowing who she was and then disliking her because of Percabeth. I honestly don't even remember where my initial dislike came from. Oh, I think a lot of my initial PJO tumblr posts were anti Percabeth so that coloured how I saw her. Outside of Percabeth, I did not care about her nor did I have any desire to learn more about her. But I tend to be more invested/obsessed with male characters over female ones, so that wasn't Annabeth's fault. After reading sections of the books, I still don't care about her but I have more appreciation for Annabeth as a quest partner and her relationship with Thalia and Luke. I also don't like her personality. There are cute Percabeth moments I enjoy, like Percy comforting Annabeth after the sirene scene and the times when Annabeth saves Percy's life. But I still can't enjoy this ship or fanfics with it.
My perception of Percy has changed radically. Even before getting into the books, Percy's character was starting to irk me but I did not fully understand the full extent of this feeling until I read the books. I still like Percy but I am honestly kind of tired of him and I don't enjoy Percy-centric fanfictions the way I used to.
I have compared Percy and Harry but I do realize their stories are different so it's not totally fair to compare them. But I will use Harry to highlight some things about Percy that I don't like after reading a little bit of the books:
Percy is too OP. And not in a satisfying way. I know Percy is a big three kid so he is meant to be more powerful. Nico is pretty powerful too. But Percy does extreme things with little explanation. It would be satisfying if Percy was on a path to godhood or something. But Percy being a common joe after defeating a primordial goddess in her own domain is total garbage. I didn't mind seeing this in fanfiction but actually seeing it in canon is tiring. Harry is powerful too but not to the extent where it feels like Harry is leaving his peers in the dust.
Percy's connection to his antagonists is weak. Harry has a deep connection with Voldy, Draco and Snape to varying degrees. Plus, he has interesting interactions with other death eaters like Lucius and Bellatrix. Percy's connection to Luke and Kronos is weak as hell by comparison. Percy basically has no interaction with the titan army, especially the demigods. Through Harry's POV, we come to understand Voldy's character and motivations, his evolution of how he perceives Draco and Snape, and we understand the dynamics of the death eaters. Kronos is a one dimensional bad guy and the bond between Luke and Percy before the betrayal was not all that deep anyway.
Percy's relationship with minor characters is lacking so the true tragedy of the conflict is lost. Percy does not know a lot of campers. So when they defect or die, the weight of the affair is lost in Percy's POV. The deaths in PJO can't be compared to the deaths in Harry Potter.
I am not a Harry Potter fan, but I am not sure if I prefer Percy as a protag over Harry anymore. I think JKR is a better writer than Rick and her characters are better written, including her minor characters. Plus, the lore is way more fascinating in HP. Rick is just copying mythology and bastardizing it with his OC. I need more time to understand where I stand with Harry and Percy.

Lily sucks, thank you. What kind of shit person fancies the boy who abuses her friend??? And it’s clear she’s into James before her friendship with Severus ends. Baffling.
Actually I wouldn’t dislike her at all if the books allowed her to be criticized. She’d be interesting then. I like all sorts of awful people in fiction, including Potter characters who are objectively a hell of a lot worse (I love Voldemort and Lucius and Snape and Umbridge and Bellatrix lol, they’re all excellent characters). But James is allowed complexity - he’s a devoted friend and a committed father, but a sadistic bully to someone he considers beneath him. Lily is brave and determined and adventurous, but she’s a snob and can’t take blame and has a nasty streak - except the author refuses to frame anything she does as flawed. Saint Lily is presented as a perfect angel, so the gap between what JKR tells me to think about her and what she actually wrote is really really irritating.
hello anon! sorry for the late response -
you're totally right; looking back, i don't think any of the interactions we see between severus and lily in the books really show her as the amazing person she's made out to be :/ it just seems like severus was unhealthily dependent on her because she was his first real friend, and lily just stayed out of pity. i do find lily interesting to think about, because she seems very manipulative in that she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it (at least in my interpretation of her; this post explains it very well). she could have been a great slytherin. i usually find this type of character intriguing and fun, but you're absolutely right about her being overglorified and i do wish the books had explored her flaws more and acknowledged them.

Evil Regulus Black
One day I was casually scrolling Tumblr, when I came across a snippet of some kind. Can't remember what it was about specifically, but it probably had to do with Sev's school life. I think he was exiting the Slytherin common room with the other Slytherins, and Regulus was amongst them. Sev accidentally bumped into him (or was pushed and got bumped into him). Regulus said something along the lines of "I don't like being touched by filthy mudbloods, thanks." It came off as cold. I imagined him saying it with a blank face, and a dead-ness to his eyes. I can't remember if it was described, but I remember that being my interpretation.
It was a realistic take of what Sev's relationship with other Slytherin purebloods would be. If he wasn't outright bullied by them, he was definitely shunned and isolated. Furthermore, I liked this version of Regulus. You could tell that he was a very cruel person purely based on that interaction, and I loved it. I love the idea of Regulus and Severus as associates or friends, in fanfiction settings. However, this accurately depicted Regulus would defeat that notion. And I like that. I wish this was explored more. As a person who loves variety, having a Regulus that was somewhat a bully would be interesting.
Regulus comes from the Black family - known for their hate for muggles, but some members of the family were more tolerant - so I'd imagine his traits are similar to Sirius', but different fonts. Following my headcanons, Regulus is calmer and less reckless. You won't know he's insane or that he's cruel just by looking at him.
Here's 2 examples: 80s Terry Silver (Sirius), Present day Terry Silver (Regulus) or Movie Kazuo Kiriyama (Sirius), Manga Kazuo Kiriyama (Regulus). If you get it, you get it.
If he were to become a tormentor of Sev, then it might have to be a 'Black family coincidence' situation. Sirius. Narcissa. Bellatrix. If they all know Sev in some fashion, then Regulus surely will. There's just something about Snape.
I'd imagine Regulus would be the 'don't bother me and I won't do anything to you' type. He would have to be provoked in order to actually do something to another person. Other than that, he'll kindly accept the fact that you exist. He'll prefer it if it was away from him, though.
As for the Marauders bullying Sev, maybe he would find it funny (probably does). He will utter out a few chuckles here and there, but wouldn't join in. Sometimes he finds it boring, and would go on his day like nothing happened. The only thing that keeps him up at night is that he doesn't understand Sirius' obsession with bothering Sev.
James Potter has a reason, but not Sirius. That makes Regulus curious.
And then, Regulus realises it. Snape has a choice. Snape has other options. Considering what world he lived in, those options were small - but options none the less. Snape belongs in both worlds, and can easily pick a side. He could escape and leave everything. It was the very thing Sirius desired, and was jealous over it. Angry that Snape chose that side of himself that Sirius actively rebelled against. Snape represented freedom.
In other words, Sirius' opinion of what freedom looked like.
Regulus then decides to get under Sirius' skin by making sure Snape is guided towards that freedom. Regulus makes Severus' school experience a living hell. He uses every connection he has to make sure Snape's wizard life is squashed.
He dissuades everyone he knows from associating themselves from Snape. Even talks Lucius out of keeping Snape as his 'lap dog'.
He drives Snape away from wanting any involvement with the wizarding world because he won't belong on either side. The light side allowed him to get bullied, while the dark side wants nothing to do with him. Snape will have no other option, and must return to his muggle life. Meanwhile, there's a war going down.
Regulus inadvertently 'saves' Sev from becoming a Death Eater. Sirius will never see that freedom. Regulus unintentionally becomes a hero.
You might call him an evil mastermind, but Regulus is just playing a game. A really fun game that the other player needs to catch onto in order to beat him.

For the Malfoy diary question anon, I have two theories. 1) Voldemort gave the diary to Abraxas Malfoy originally, and Abraxas died of dragonpox after Voldemort’s first death. 2) Voldemort lived at Malfoy Manor (seems like that’s also where he lived after his resurrection) and wanted to keep one Horcrux close for science reasons. He does the same with Nagini.
Anon's referring to this post.
Ooh, theories.
Though I will say for (1) that we don't know exactly when Abraxas died, though to me it's implied to be recently as of 1996. Slughorn gives Draco his condolences on Abraxas's death which is.... very weird if it's been several years since he passed, even if Slughorn and Draco have never met before this point. Granted, could be that Slughorn is just remarking that he's sorry, because he had no idea the man had passed, and mostly because he wants out of this conversation because he does not want to interact with Draco the Death Eater's son, but I always got the impression it was not an old event.
Possible he died somewhere between 1981 and 1994, but--seems more like it was in 1996.
As for (2), also possible, we don't know, but there's also no mention of Voldemort ever having lived there by any character (not Draco bragging, granted he wouldn't know, not Lucius bragging later, not Bellatrix being bitter over the favoritism at the time, not any other Death Eater, not Snape, not Order members noting rumors that the Dark Lord lived at Malfoy Manor, etc.). And we get the feeling that how Voldemort behaves in their house in canon is something that is completely new to the Malfoys.
But like I said, your guess is as good as mine.

marauders era characters and their favorite movies
if they lived in the muggle world circa 2024
remus: little miss sunshine brutal and disturbingly human, but intertwined with themes of love, family, support, and healing
james: talladega nights the theme of this movie is that friendship is magic. you know james was saying "if you're not first, you're last" for years after seeing this movie. also he tried to create a shake-and-bake thing with sirius
sirius: howl's moving castle "that howl is so fucking hot" "he literally just looks like you" "exactly" sirius sees himself as this main love interest (howl) and he sees remus as sophie, especially when she's an old woman that howl has to take care of. all he wants to do is take care of remus
peter: bridge to terabithia peter seems like the kind of person to find stories of tragical childhood friendships really compelling. he also loves josh hutcherson (who doesn't)
regulus: the secret life of walter mitty he relates to the main character - a man who is controlled and meticulous but longs to go on an adventure. he also wishes that sirius would pull him out of his monotonous life and into the unknowable but with complete acceptance of who he is.
lily: little women in the way that i feel like i've been shot every time i watch a movie involving complicated mother/daughter relationships, lily would be deeply compelled by stories about sisterhood. especially jo and amy who always feel second to each other
mary: princess mononoke she would relate to the main character and be very enthralled by ashitaka. definitely a comfort watch for her.
marlene: raising arizona or zoolander she loves absurdist comedies with lovable and endearing characters. she is also low-key attracted to nick cage when he was young, but don't tell anyone, it's a secret.
dorcas: arrival or parasite dorcas has unequivocally good movie tastes. she likes high concept stories with heavy thematic writing and devastating plots. she talks about them in detail for weeks afterward
pandora: midsommar and pan's labyrinth she loves movies with comically intense violence. she finds high control groups fascinating. she definitely loves pan's labyrinth because of the freaky monsters and the fact that it sounds like it could belong to her
xenophilius: the twilight saga he knows every detail and loves to examine the story from all sides. he and pandora bond over the fact that carlisle is a joseph smith archetype.
evan: deadpool evan sees deadpool as barty and loves the character because of it. he is also envious of the characters freedom to be himself
barty: the mummy he just thinks that everyone in this movie is really fucking hot
snape: pride and prejudice (2005) finds it super romantic and loves the way characters talk and deliver lines. he listens to the soundtrack as background music while he works.
frank longbottom: spiderman (no way home) no one was more excited than he was when the three spiderman characters interacted. he cried a lot when watching this movie
alice: narnia it was her sexual awakening ;)
narcissa: glass onion she loves a who-done-it story, she reads mystery novels all the time and she thought this one was the most exciting
bellatrix: barbarian or bones and all she watches bones and all like "when is it my turn to be happy?" and she watches barbarian like "what is it like to have a mother who loves you?" everyone thinks she's crazy
lucius: dune or the king he sees himself as the king. that scene where robert pattinson's character is slipping around in the mud and timmy's character is standing there unbothered - that's how lucius pictures himself and arthur weasley. he also thinks of his own family when he watches dune
also this came from a question that @wolfpadx asked in the discord and i just had to elaborate on my thoughts.

Saw everyone asking about Bellatrix and Harry in NG and reminded me of when I was last rereading Enticed (everyone is all NG this, Incendiary that, and I feel like I'm the only one with my hands in the air screaming about Enticed). With Harry being a male Omega and Bellatrix a female Alpha, I'm super interested if you have any plans for their interactions? I also wonder if Bellatrix in Enticed is less submissive to V and would potentially be a rival for Harry? Assuming he presents at the ministry at the end of OotP, both Bellatrix and V will be there (in addition to other alphas ofc like Lucius and Dumbledore) and I can imagine Bellatrix being rather excited...
I did have a plan, yes - they absolutely repulse each other 😬

And Bellatrix was punished many times. Firstly by Voldemort treating her coldly, making her doubt her dynamic with him and basically favoring Severus instead of her. Then by humiliating her in front of the death eaters, grouping her with the Malfoys. And then after Harry escaped the Manor, together with the Malfoys. It's clear she was tortured as well, but not as much as Lucius. I think Voldemort knew that the most effective torture method for her would be psychological.
Snape was only ever favoured over Bellatrix formally because he was much more useful. In their personal interactions, Bellatrix was the only one he ever favoured. Notice how Snape is given the seat at his right when he has news to deliver in a formal meeting, but in an informal situation (the Forbidden Forest) Bellatrix sits closest to him even though his Horcrux was stolen from her vault only a day ago.
Why wasn't she punished then? Even when she gets into his personal space and makes him look vulnerable in front of everyone, it's her sister he hexes for no reason and never her. The other Death Eaters didn't even dare to stand close to him when he woke up, but Bellatrix literally tried to help him up and spoke to him like a lover, publicly. The fact that she ever dared something like this, let alone got away with it without any consequences, is remarkable and proof he cares about her deeply.
I know Snape is dead at this point but he's never ever been close to Voldemort in a personal/informal situation. I won't deny Voldemort favoured Snape in the second war, but it was all due to his usefulness. Remember, Voldemort didn't think the prophecy was self-fulfilling and he'd basically have thought Snape had saved his life by warning him about it, and yet he murdered him in cold blood.
Also, Voldemort didn't group her with the Malfoys. She did it herself when she defended them and called them her family. He wasn't targeting her at first and it's clear he didn't like her defence of them. He was mocking them and she tried to take attention away from that, so he grouped her with them, but by the end of that, he'd made it up to her but the Malfoys remained humiliated. It wasn't humiliation for no reason. He was trying to remind her who her true family is, hence telling her to kill her blood relative. Obviously he was a very toxic lover, even abusive, but that didn't make him any less of a lover.
It's not clear she was tortured alongside Lucius at all. Not only does she not bear any scars, nobody ever mentions it, even though the Death Eaters often mention others getting punished. Travers only mentioned the house arrest to Hermione when she was infiltrating Gringotts when he was trying to challenge her standing. Surely if she was tortured, he would have brought it up somehow? And then, before the Final Battle, the Carrows mentioned the Malfoys were tortured horribly after they let Harry escape, but again, no mention of Bellatrix. Unlike in DLA where it's mentioned the Death Eaters laughed at the Malfoys and Bellatrix's humiliation, the Carrows only mention the Malfoys. All of this point to only the Malfoys having been tortured, even though Bellatrix was the one who called him.
And honestly, I'd much rather be treated coldly and be humiliated in front of my colleagues than be Cruciated or killed by Nagini or get punched so hard the scars last for months.

I was wondering if you'd share your thoughts on this:
I feel like Narcissa is really a family person with how she cares for Lucius and Draco but I wonder though how come she doesn't seem to care that much about Bellatrix? Because isn't she Narcissa's family too? Despite Bellatrix caring for Narcissa too, it looks like Narcissa prefers to be a Malfoy
And why though between the Blacks and Malfoys as a blood purists and supremacist shouldn't Narcissa think that being a Black is better, they even practice interbreeding than the Malfoys to keep that purity and the Blacks definitely talk on being superior too than Halfbloods and Muggleborns
The Blacks seems more powerful a d with more prestige with it being the only Noble and Ancient house so I was wondering why do you think Narcissa prefers the Malfoys and being a Malfoy than the more prestigious Black
Thank you for the question my fellow hp nerd! I very much enjoy being enabled and your ask sent me down a fun research hole :))
Warning, verbose answer below (also, I went somewhat off-prompt, sorry) :
I agree with you completely when you say that Narcissa is a family person, the few lines she has in canon are all about just how much she's willing to do for her household; it's just that she's thinking of her nuclear family (Lucius & Draco) so much that we never get a clear idea of her views on her birth family (the Blacks).
I find Narcissa to be a very fascinating character: she's introduced to us as someone who very much fits within her family unit, especially in terms of superciliousness:
Tumblr media
(from GoF: Harry meets Narcissa for the first time, at the quidditch world cup)
And yet, in the very first scene we see her actively participate in, this person who has insofar been mostly defined by her pride is shown to be extremely willing to debase herself in order to protect Draco:
Tumblr media
(from HBP: Narcissa is pleading Snape to help Draco in his mission)
Furthermore, even though her primary objective when going to spinners end is to protect Draco we still get glimpses of the love she holds for Lucius:
Tumblr media
and
Tumblr media
(also from HBP)
I generally don't care for comments jkr makes outside of the books and I tend to disregard any post-canon addition she makes but I do think this comment of hers is key to understanding her character:
Tumblr media
(from pottermore)
This, I think, puts her at odds with Bellatrix, who is the very definition of a fanatic. Bellatrix herself says she considers giving one's son up to the cause to be the greatest of honors:
Tumblr media
(also from HBP)
This is a significant difference in worldview and I think it affects the relationship between the two. While Bellatrix is a true believer, Narcissa just isn't and is therefore perfectly willing to abandon the cause in favour of keeping her family intact (which is exactly what she ends up doing in the forest in DH).
We never hear Narcissa's opinion on Andromeda's disownment but we do hear Bellatrix's:
Tumblr media
and
Tumblr media
(DH, Voldemort orders Bellatrix to kill Tonks)
Bella is not only willing to murder members of her own family on the say so of her leader, she considers being allowed to do so to be an honor; I honestly think that Narcissa would be incapable of that.
Narcissa gives the impression of an extremely composed person who keeps her thoughts very closely guarded (as an aside, this is why I'm very much in the camp that she's the one who taught Draco occlumency and not Bella) but I do imagine that she feels affection for her sisters (both of them).
Bellatrix is introduced to us as someone larger than life, a boogeyman-like figure. She's a fearsome duellist and a truly violent person and most people we meet in the story seem to fear her. Narcissa doesn't.
From Narcissa and Bellas interactions in the Spinners End chapter of HBP, I get the impression that the two still share a sibling bond, even after the decade Bella spent in Azkaban. Not only do they call each other by their nicknames :
Tumblr media
but Narcissa doesn't hesitate to hex Bella, an incredibly dangerous and unstable person, as if she knows she won't be in any real danger because of it:
Tumblr media
And she's shown to be right, because Bellatrix never once retaliates. More than that, even though she's more than capable of overpowering Narcissa and taking her away from spinners end by force, she doesn't. Bellatrix simply follows her sister to Snape's house and doesn't hesitate to help her when the time comes to make the unbreakable vow.
Bellatrix, it seems, truly cares for her sister as much as she's able to (on account of her being a sociopath). When Bella is defending herself to Voldemort in one of the excerpts above she is quick to fold Narcissa (and, curiously, only Narcissa) in her defense (" we - Narcissa and I - have never set eyes on our sister"). In that excerpt, Voldemort is trying to gauge the Malfoys' reaction to the news of Tonks's marriage just as much as Bellatrix's (and presumably Rodolphus's, though he's mostly a non-entity in the books) but she only seems concerned about herself and Narcissa.
As to why Narcissa might identify more as a Malfoy than as a Black, I honestly dont think she sees the world in that way. Narcissa, to me, is not a true believer. Her character reads to me as someone deeply invested in maintaining the status quo (because of her position at the top of it) but, just like Lucius, I imagine she doesn't particularly care about blood politics the way someone like Bellatrix or Walburga does.
We never get a precise read on the hierarchy of the pureblood families but we do know that the Malfoys are considered to be amongst the richest and oldest (this again comes from writings outside of direct canon). I personally get the impression that Narcissa did not move up or down in the social hierarchy by marrying into the Malfoy family but very much made a lateral move, as befitting a lady of her status.
I don't think Narcissa takes pride in being a Malfoy insomuch as she takes pride in being at the very top, with no thought as to the specifics. She cares about being Lucius's wife and she cares about being Draco's mother but she is never shown defending the Malfoy name itself.
Similarly, I don't think Bellatrix cares much for the Black family as an institution either. We hear Kreacher talking glowingly about both Narcissa and Bellatrix but we never hear either of them talking about the most ancient and noble house of Black; this, to me, gives the impression that they aren't terribly interested in it.
Bellatrix is too much of a rabid Voldemort follower to care about her old life (besides the fact that it identifies her as a pureblood), as is shown by the blatant disregard for her own husband. Just for fun, I checked the books for all mentions of Rodolphus Lestrange and not only is Bellatrix never shown interacting with him, she's never even shown talking about him.
You know who mentions him by name in the book? it's only three people: Sirius Black (when talking about the Lestranges being in Azkaban with him), Lucius Malfoy (when ordering the death eaters about in the department of mysteries) and, surprisingly, Tonks (who injures him in the battle of the seven potters).
The Lestranges, as a couple, are mentioned together only twice before Bellatrix is introduced as a separate character and after that they are referred as such just to talk about their shared Gringotts vault, not exactly couple of the year material.
In conclusion, while I do think that Narcissa cares for Bellatrix, she is much more invested in the well-being of her nuclear family and does not give a flying fuck about either the Malfoy or the Black family. She cares about the status she receives from being part of them, sure, but it's a transactional interest and not a point of pride.
Similarly, Bellatrix cares mostly about what Voldemort wants her to care about but she is still able to value Narcissa, and only Narcissa, outside of that (even though she is obviously lower in priority than Voldemort).

What are your favourite ships?
Ah, my dear anon, you just asked me one of my favorite questions 😈
Well, actually, I’m not sure if you’re asking about just the HP fandom or in general, so I’ll talk about both.
I’m in several fandoms, and I plan to write fics for these fandoms, I just lack the time.
Anyway, my favorite ships outside of HP are: Destiel (Dean/Castiel, Supernatural), I always come back to them, ugh, my first queerbait love. There's Hannigram from Hannibal (I actually take a lot of inspiration from Hannibal when writing some of my fics), Johnlock ( on my other Tumblr, I lived for Johnlock), Buddie (Buck/Eddie from 911), Percabeth (Percy/ Annabeth, Percy Jackson) and Peeta/Katniss (Peeniss, lol, from Hunger Games).
Some fandoms, like Star Wars and LOTR, I love so many ships I simply can't decide 💀.
Now, speaking specifically about the HP fandom, I love rare pairs. There’s something fascinating about taking two characters who barely (or never) interacted in canon and deciding they will be a couple. Some rare pairs I want to write are: Moonwater (Regulus/Remus), Blackbolt (Kingsley/Sirius) and Voldemort/Ron (does this even have a name?)
Prongsfoot (James/Sirius) lives in my heart, along with Harrymort (Harry/Voldemort), Dorlene (Dorcas/Marlene) and Jily (James/Lily).
I love most Sirius ships, except Wolfstar. I don't like Wolfstar and Jegulus, but I have mutuals who love them, and that’s cool! Everyone’s free to like what they want.
Other pairs I enjoy: Harry/Ron (don't remember the ship name), Romione (Ron/Hermione), Hinny (Harry/Ginny), Sirry (Sirius/Harry - oh yeah, controversial, I know, but the angst is everything), Snack (Sirius/Snape), Bellamort (Bellatrix/Voldemort), Lucissa (Lucius/Narcissa), Tedromedra (Ted/Andromeda), Blackcest (Bellatrix/Sirius - this one is controversial too) and Blackinnon (Sirius/Marlene).
There are popular pairs I don’t usually read (like Drarry or Dramione), though I’ve found some amazing fics for them. Honestly, the characterization in these pairs sometimes bothers me (especially Harry in Drarry fics and how people villanize Ron in Dramione fics), so I’m kinda picky.
This got way too long, but yeah, I’m a multishipper at heart, haha. And hey, don’t like, don’t read (and don’t judge those who do!).
Thank you for the ask ❤️
