_____
From diary of Guy, New Cathedral Captain of the Holy Knights of Mondstadt
~~~~~~
I
Creator's Cathedral of Mondstadt is a holy place. Everyone can find help and sanctuary here. If you're a pure at heart, believe in Blessed Creator and haven't sinned, you can come here and ask for help.
Beggars and homeless, sick and healthy, can find help here.
Tomorrow I will become a Captain of Cathedral's guards. I can't find wait!
It will be much more interesting, then guarding the northern side gate.
I wish father would see me. If only he wasn't cursed by Impostor's lies.
~~~~~~
II
I love my new title. Other guards respect me. I have become someone.
The Cathedral is beautiful.
I even noticed an afterglow inside the Cathedral through the day.
There are many beggars in the Cathedral. Some of them live on Cathedral grounds.
They are quiet. They either pray for All-Creator or share stories about Dreaded Imposter.
This thing is still talked about. Some stories are quite amusing to hear about.
Tomorrow, Their Holiness will visit the Cathedral.
There will be more beggars.
And I will make sure, that no one will hurt Creator.
~~~~
III
Creator are magnificent. Truly magnificent. Perfect in every way. Without any flaws inside or outside.
The visit went fine. The new beggar was allowed to live in the Cathedral.
A young man. The man has white hair with red tips, he was dressed in rugs. He wore an earring with a small bell attached to it. And he is blind. Milky-white eyes, with a hint of reddish iris, lacked the pupil. Man was starring in the nothingness. He didn't pay attention to anything around him.
Their Holiness stepped closer to the blind man. Creator spoke. Their voice sounded magnificent. As it should be.
"My poor dear creation, you must be starving. Come with me. I will order giving you a warm bath, a warm meal and a new home."
The blind man raised his head. And reached his hand towards Creator.
And Their Holiness ordered to take a blind man with them.
I am not even worry about this one. A blind person can't hurt anyone.
The lucky bastard was hugged by an All Creator. Their Holiness are so kind!
___________
When you disappeared two months ago, Jouno felt lost. No matter, how hard he looked for you, he couldn't find you. You have disappeared without a trace.
For a whole month he and others were searching. Skipping lunches, without sleeping. They were looking for you.
Jouno remembered, how kids were crying in their pillows all night.
One month of search, tears and darkness passed.
And you finally returned home.
Tortured. Starving. Scared.
Almost shattered.
*******
Mouth has passed after your return.
There were no scars on your body, thanks to Doctor Yosano.
You weren't hungry anymore.
But you still were shattered.
Always quiet. Scared of looking anyone in the eyes.
You had nightmares every night. Jouno heard your screaming or crying. Begging to be let go. Begging to be left alone.
And every night all of them would go to your room. To held you close. To calm you down. To assure you, that they weren't sleeping, and you didn't wake them up.
But, no matter, how many nightmares you have had, you never spoke about where you were and what happened to you.
Jouno felt, that you wanted to open up to them. But you couldn't. You were afraid. Terrified.
*******
And then, Capitano came here, to look for you.
*******
Saigiku Jouno was thinking. He was playing with his earring, and a small bell was jingling.
There were a man in the basement. Capitano. But, Jouno agreed with Tetchou, and called it a different name.
An abomination, that dared to hurt and scared you.
Hunting Dogs and Doctor Yosano just finished interrogating it. And Jouno didn't like what they have learned.
They broke the news to others.
Lovecraft left for a few minutes. He wanted to check the barn. Maybe, there was something else here. Something, that would hurt you.
Fyodor Dostoevsky and Dazai Osamu were whispering to each other. They spoke in some kind of code, and Jouno wasn't interested in trying to decipher it.
Captain Fukuchi, Mori and Fukuzawa were discussing what to do with Capitano, who still was in the basement, chained, with his limbs amputated.
Everyone was discussing with someone what to do next.
All conversations came to an end, when Lovecraft returned. He was holding a bucket, full of water. Jounou heard, that some sort of fish was swimming in it.
Steinbeck, who was standing next to the door, take a look at the fish. He raised his eyebrows.
"Where did you find this fish? I have never seen a fish like this."
Lovecraft put a bucket on the floor and answered.
"On the other side of the portal. In Teyvat."
Well, isn't it just great? They have a portal in a barn. Portal, that leads to the world, where His Firefly was tortured.
Dazai and Fyodor looked at each other. They exchanged a few more coded sentences. Dazai spoke, talking to everyone.
"Gave Fyodor and I a day or two. And we will have a plan. A plan, how to make them all pay..."
*******
That's how Jouno get here. He volunteered to spy on one of the Cathedrals. To understand this strange faith better.
_____
IV
Today was a nice day. Nothing strange has happened. Except for one incident.
The blind one, Jouno, fall into the compost pit we had in a Cathedral's fruit garden. What a klutz.
_____
Jouno's senses betrayed him. He couldn't focus on anything else, besides this horrible smell.
The stink, that came from "Creator".
This thing was hideous. Jouno wanted to puke, when they came near him. And almost thrown up, when it hugged him. Only a strong stomach and an ability to control himself didn't let him do it.
To cover that smell, Jouno jumped into the compost pit and now was taking a bath. The water was hot, almost boiling. He scrubbed his skin raw. To get rid of Creator's filth.
He tried to focus his thoughts on you.
On your heartbeat. On the sound of your breathing. They sound like a music to his ears.
On your scent. You always carry around a sweet aroma. It reminds Jouno of fresh fruits.
On your warmth. On nights you spend cuddling each other. On movie nights, when you were sandwiched between him and Tetchou. When your head was on his chest, and he can feel you near him.
Jouno sighs.
He should focus on finding new information.
He hoped, that it won't take much time.
_____
V
Today we had a visitor.
Kaeya Alberich, Calvary Captain of the Holy Knights of Mondstadt, visited the Cathedral. He was pleased with my job as a Captain.
Captain Kaeya brought gifts from Creator. With guards, he shared a few drinks. And some stories. My favorite one was about Captain Kaeya's involvement in punishing Dirty Sinner.
The alcohol made me see things. I saw the afterglow again. At night.
____
"Tell you about an Imposter? Why not. It was the day before their execution. The good people of Mondstadt did their best in showing Imposter it's place. But, there were one thing I couldn't stand. It still has two eyes. So, I came to them, took a dagger, and..."
_____
Jouno's blood boiled. He left the room, guards were in, and returned to a room he was allowed to stay. He deactivated his ability.
Doctor Yosano was the only one, who knew, what scars and wounds you had, when you returned. Jouno could only smell your blood, heard your weak heartbeat.
He wanted to learn about your injuries. So he can infect them on them.
But, Doctor Yosano refused to tell any details about your wounds.
And now, Jouno realized, why.
He wanted to do something.
Good thing, he hid some knives, before his mission truly started.
_____
VI
Two guards were found dead. They were disemboweled and left to lay on a throne, Creator sat on during their visits.
I don't understand, who could do this. None other guard have noticed anything suspicious.
Did someone from the inside did it?
We look through everyone's belongings. Search all rooms.
Nothing.
We couldn't find even the single clue.
~~~~~~
VII
Three sisters were found dead.
The room they were found was closed.
From the inside.
There's no logical explanation.
It would be impossible for a human to do this.
And who would dare to soil holly place!
Maybe, an Abyss Order isn't that loyal to Creator?
~~~~~~
VIII
Creator called for me. They are worried about what is happening in the Cathedral.
I accused Abyss Order.
The only reason I wasn't torn to shreds by an Abyss Lector was Their Holiness.
I am alive.
I am not a Captain anymore.
... two more corpses were found...
~~~~~~~
IX
Another corpse. Eights one this week. Still, nothing suspicious has happened. No one walked in, no one walked out.
Captain Kaeya has arrived. He will take over duties.
Interrogated everyone. Look through everyone's stuff.
Nothing suspicious.
Didn't bother to look through Jouno's stuff. He is harmless.
~~~~~~
XIX
Killer can't be stopped. They can get even in closed doors.
How? Why?
We didn't do anything wrong!
We are good people! We believe in Creator!
We have punished Dirty....
/The rest of the page is soaked in blood/
_____
Up. Down. Left. Up. Right. Down...
Two swords clashed again and again.
Kaeya's breathing was hard. He was tried.
Yet, he can't even land one hit on Jounou. Blind man was a skilled fighter. And he managed to dodge every Cryo attack.
Jouno was playing with Kaeya.
The Cathedral behind them was burning. Jounou wasn't attacking. He was only blocking Kaeya's attacks. Kaeya growled.
"Where did you come from, demon? How dared you to soil the holy land?"
Jouno didn't answer. He blocked the next hit.
'I am not a demon. I am a soldier. Besides, Fyodor won't like me taking his title.'
Up. Left. Up. Down. Right. Up. Left. Right. Kick. Cryo. Up. Down.
A loud shattering sound.
Kaeya didn't realize, that he got too close to the Cathedral. The same moment, the stained-glass window (the main decoration of the façade) shattered due to the heat. Glasses fell on Kaeya and Jouno.
Both became disorientated for a moment.
And Jouno recovered first.
______
Kaeya can't move.
His legs were pierced by Jouno's sword.
Jouno was sitting on Kaeya's chest. He had a dagger in his hands.
"Listen, to what I will say, Captain. Look at me, Captain. Scream, Captain. It is the last time you will see, hear or talk, Captain."
Jouno pointed a dagger at Kaeya's mouth.
_____
"Their name is [Y/N]. They are the kindest person in the world. They are interesting to talk with. We love to spend time with them. Yes, they aren't perfect. They aren't fake as this thing you put on a throne. They are real. They have faults. Sometimes we argue. But we will always make up. And we will burn everyone, who dared to touch them."
______
Jouno left Kaeya at the Cathedral's remains.
It was time for him to return home.
After getting his backpack, full of stolen holy texts and fruits he picked up in the wild, Jouno was on his way to the sea shore.
Lovecraft was waiting for him.
Together they will get back to the portal.
_____
You heard loud stomping sounds behind you. The next moment, a pair of hands hugged you from behind. Jouno pick up a habit to be loud, when he approaches you. He didn't want to scare you.
"Hello. I missed you, My Firefly."
You tilted your head slightly and rubbed your nose against Jouno's cheek.
"Hi... Are you okay?"
Jouno nodded.
"I am. Don't worry. Up for some Bulle Fruits, Apples and Sunsettias?"
You nodded and let Jouno lead you to the kitchen.
"I will do anything for your safety. Even if it means to do something drastic."
_____
In the next few weeks, near Creator's Shrine of Liyue a blind man was found.
A harmless blind man named Jouno.
pjo / hoo headcanons i have collected since my hyperfix came back
ignore the huge amount of nico and will. six years after reading the series i'm still obsessed with them </3
nico helps cabin 11 steal candy from the infirmary because everyone knows will can't stay mad at him for longer than 5 minutes
the apollo kids gifted nico a bunch of mythomagic packages after learning he had burnt his collection so he could start a new one. he thought it would not be as exciting but turns out he really really missed collecting them from zero because he had gotten used to getting doubles all the time
on the same note, cabin 7 (and specially will) try to learn to play so he has someone to play with. will and him always exchange doubles and sometimes he sacrifices good cards for mid ones just so will doesn't have a mid deck
nico once got a double perseus card and gifted it to percy
the first times nico played his favorite music to hazel she was flabbergasted by the emo genre but didn't want to be mean so she smiled and said it was "very cute"
leo calls will "güerito"
connor stoll owns a nintendo switch that used to be his and travis' (mostly travis') until he accidentally almost destroyed it and it became only his (the screen has a sepia filter to it, one of the joysticks needs adhesive tape to stay in place, it works slowly and the screen has cracks on it). when he can't sleep (because who in camp half-blood can sleep properly?) he plays pokémon until he falls asleep. he is also a big fortnite and minecraft fan.
lou ellen knows how to do balloon modelling
nico once asked chiara about what has italy been doing the past century and she showed him winx club like it was the most important thing italians did (and it is)
percy and will love teen beach movie
austin lake takes it upon himself to show nico all the music he missed during the past decades + the reason cabin 7 learns nico doesn't know any song from after 1942 is that they invite him to play a letter association game and he opts out because of this (the game is forgotten right after because having him listen to the classics is more important). no one suspected he didn't listen to modern music because 99% of his clothes are band shirts he got from percy and thalia.
will was obsessed with hannah montana / miley cyrus as a child (the climb is his favorite song)
connor didn't go to college with travis because he doesn't know what to study yet but instead he spent the year getting his driver's license
each cabin gets a "call home" day every other few days (initiative promoted by the iris cabin)
children of tyche's fatal flaw is impostor syndrome because they are constantly afraid everything they have is undeserved and just a product of their godly heritage
will's favorite dessert is texan sheet cake , nico's is panna cotta
the aphrodite cabin didn't like that nico was the only one with a personalized camp shirt (they are so done with the color orange...) so they started an initiative to get every cabin personalizes shirts with a representative color voted by the head counselors and their cabins number.
the iris and hermes cabins got together to start a camp half-blood magazine released monthly for year-rounders. they do a gossip section about couples at camp (for which they "hired" a child of aphrodite as their correspondent), interviews to the seven or to popular campers, the athena cabin added a crossword section...
Ace Attorney AU where all siblings swap roles.
Maya is an experienced lawyer and Phoenix's mentor. She used spirit channeling to pass the bar at an extremely young age (or a normal age in the Ace Attorney verse.) and has big impostor syndrome as a result. Despite her profession, she's trying to come into her own.
Mia has just recently left the village after her younger sister. She's turn between discovering the truth behind her mother (aunt?) and looking after Maya.
Apollo apprentices under Klavier since the man was responsible for taking down Phoenix Wright, and the hero worship just kind of transferred. He's eternally butthurt that Apollo cares more about his law career than his music.
Kristoph tampered with Klavier's early cases to get his law career off the ground, and now deeply regrets it. He tries to win cases against Apollo and Klavier fair and square now, though he's unexperienced with that. He knows his brother's reputation is built on lives, but would never confess to his own involvement. Insistent he's the Good Sibling(tm)
After the glass incident, Phoenix devotes his life to trying to protect the defendants of Franziska Von Karma. She's completely forgotten the entire thing, since she's too busy looking into the mysterious death of her late father.
Once Gregory Edgeworth is accused of said murder, his son begins to suspect Phoenix and Franziska worked together to frame him, due to Franziska having a reputation. He steals Franziska's cases to make sure they're prosecuted fairly, and runs his own investigation in the meantime.
Dahlia and Iris are exactly the same, they just swap names! :)
I have made drafts of Cerise... and Lila ?!
I've imagined a story about the existence of TWO(2) Lilas in the Miraculous universe.
I feel it's even a theory (more than an AU): What if there were in fact two Lilas ?!
I thought about that since a lot of months (approximatively since beginning 2023).
For this AU concept, there are two Lilas:
Lila Marina Rossi (the original girl)
"Cerise Bianca"/"Lila Rossi"/"Iris Verdi"/Chrysalis (the impostor)
And they look like identical each other.
The situation:
Lila confronts Cerise her identity usurper. In this AU, after Lila and her mom (already promoted ambassador) arrived to Paris, Cerise manipulated 'seduced' Lila in the first day. One day, Cerise betrays Lila by falsely sending her to the asylum.
In this AU, Cerise previously escaped from the asylum and she needed to trick the authorities.
We have got the "Lila Rossi" we actually know in the show (Volpina, Chameleon, trying to seducing Adrien, plotting revente against Marinette/Ladybug, using Chloé as a pawn for her own agenda, manipulating each adult woman/mother by pretending to be their daughter, working with Gabriel/Hawkmoth/Monarch and stealing the Butterfly miraculous to the latter).
One year later, the real Lila escapes from the asylum and tracks down her "other self": the fake Lila/Cerise/the girl who trapped her and stole her identity.
Meanwhile and of course, she doesn't suspect her nemesis has already a Miraculous for the evil. She risks to confront Chrysalis (Future Hawkmoth(?)).
Bonus:
-The real Lila (in patient uniform) confronts the fake Lila/ Cerise. That's since one year she seeks revenge, justice and truth. She just wants to retrieve back her normal life.
-an angry Lila is going to ambush Cerise: the latter (the superliar, the super impostor) had recently received her new wig (just another copy of her initial wig) and was becoming "Lila Rossi" again.
-Lila becomes mad to see "she is herself" the Alliance Ring avatar and the Gabriel fashion brand model.
More facts about Iris and her life with Emma May!
• Iris was an alien raised in a lab with her shapeshifting abilities used as a weapon for government missions. It was a lonely and dangerous life filled with uncaring agents and scientists. She eventually got fed up with this life and ran away to Gravity Falls, hoping to find people like her, after learning from secret government files possible locations of alien life.
• She met Ford and Fiddleford in the forest during one of their anomaly expeditions. She introduced herself as a fellow scientist, reasoning that following those two would lead her close to finding an alien. They find Shifty’s egg and when he hatches, Iris convinces Ford to let her take part in researching Shifty.
• While Ford teaches Shifty and takes notes on them during the day, Iris secretly teaches the alien different forms Ford refuses to let Shifty see. Iris grows platonically close with Ford, exchanging scientific interests and bonding over being outcasts while she has a much cooler relationship with Fiddleford, disliking the way he views Shifty and almost threw a wrench at him but admires the love he has for his family. Although she is suspicious on the nature of his feelings towards Ford.
• Since Iris is there to care for Shifty, they don’t go insane and she convinces Ford to let them out of the cage and helps them build a father - child relationship. For many months things are going pretty well but there are growing tensions. When the portal test happens and Bill comes into the picture, he tortures Ford and worsens his paranoia, turning him against Iris who refuses to admit the truth of her identity and leaves, taking Shifty with her.
• A year later, she encounters Emma - May who comes up to town looking for her husband. She helps her locate a spiraling Fiddleford in a motel. Iris decides to help Fiddleford recover out of pity and hoping to see if he can remember what he saw in the portal. A few months ago, Iris met Stan who is posing as Ford. She knows something is up but she keeps mum and tells Stan to take care of his (Ford) adopted son, Shifty, while she goes to work at the museum.
• Iris plays marriage counselor, telling Emma that Fidds loves her and their son, having regaled stories about them to her during the nights they were working together. The girls build a rapport but every time it seems Fiddleford is making progress, he goes behind their back to indulge in his memory gun addiction. Iris catches on and follows him one night leading a ceremony with the Society of the Blind Eye.
• She tells Emma about this and brings her to the site when it is empty. It hurt Iris to see Emma heartbroken but she persuades her friend to file for divorce for her and Tate’s safety. Fiddleford had enough lucidity to sign the papers but is heartbroken and devastated that he unleashes the robot pterodactyl partly as revenge partly as one last desperate call for help. Iris protects Emma - May from the rampaging robot and consoles her the following day, never leaving her side.
• Iris decides to leave Gravity Falls with Shifty and follow Emma - May to Palo Alto, California to help her rebuild her life. Before that, she drops hints to Stan she knows he is an impostor but leaves him a wad of cash, sensing he is trying to do something to recover Ford whom she regrets deceiving and abandoning. Iris and Emma - May start out as just friends helping each other out settle in this new phase of their life, but their relationship slowly deepens and it starts with the little things like Iris fixing the broken screen door and other stuff in the house and encouraging Emma - May to pursue a botanist and teaching career, seeing the way she takes care of her plants and listening to Emma talk for hours about plants and the importance of imparting a great love of nature to kids. Iris utilizes her skills from her days as a government weapon to fix up some legal documents and improve on the machines Fiddleford left behind in his garage, turning them into a successful business venture that makes the family wealthy.
• Iris is scared of Emma - May’s possible reaction to her real identity but decides to reveal the truth of her and Shifty, not wanting to deceive her friend who makes her blush and get her heart pounding every time they brush hands. Emma - May is at first angry but she calms down and forgives Iris, telling her she appreciates her for being honest with her and all she has done and being an alien won’t change how they feel about each other. Emma and Iris dance around their feelings for a few more years before finally admitting they love each other romantically one late night while stargazing after putting the kids to bed. They don’t officially get married and formally adopt their sons until the early 2010s but they have unofficially been married and in love far longer than the law says.
• Shifty is pretty happy and well adjusted being raised by two moms and having a brother, though they aren’t without a violent side which comes out if someone threatens their family, particularly government agents or Ciphertology remnants who come snooping. Tate had a bit of difficult time adjusting at first to the changes happening in his life but he eventually gets used to it he doesn’t verbally express it always but he loves his family. He sometimes help Iris tinkering out with new inventions.
• Iris discretely helps Stan with rebuilding the portal, sending him funds and blueprints on how and where to best steal government property. She and Emma - May initially opposed Tate’s decision to move to Gravity Falls but relented and they visit him with Shifty every summer and have a girl’s night out with Susan, whom they have formed a friendship with over the years.
• Dipper and Mabel have a different interaction with Shifty who cryptically hints them about the identity of the Author, trolling them before leaving without a word. Mabel initially thought Stan and Iris were dating which Stan corrected and Iris found funny. She later helps Iris find the perfect anniversary gift for Emma with Mabel gushing over the loving and long lasting marriage Iris and Emma - May have.
• Weirdmaggeddon sees Shifty, Emma - May, and Iris join the resistance to rescue Tate. They kill a ton of Bill’s forces and have fun doing it. After Weirdmaggeddon, Emma and Iris cautiously reconnect with Ford and Fiddleford. Iris apologizes to Ford while Fiddleford apologizes to Emma - May for all the harm he has caused. They part on amicable terms.
• Iris and Emma - May continue to live out their days peacefully and happily in a big mansion in Palo Alto, California.
The Chronicles of:
The Time Eldritch!Peppino got lost (Documented in Snapchat) + some analog horror rambles at the end!
Sit down and enjoy i guess idk I'm not your boss ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-----------------------------
--------------------
--------------------
--------------------
--------------------
--------------------
--------------------
Context of why I made this: I found this photo in @technically-a-kiwi's blog
Which is from [Gemini Home Entertainment] a Cosmic/Body Horrors analog horror, and I wanted to kinda recreate it in the Eldritch AU but also make it less scary cause, unlike Iris, Peppino and the others don't want to hurt the Earth tho I may or may not add elements from that series into the AU ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I kinda wanna watch [GHE] and I'm trying to watch it but I still find it too spooky :(
And yes I'm a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to analog horror (and horror in general sometimes) To give you an idea; I legit find Gabriel and the alternates from [MANDELA CATALOGUE] terrifying and I also find the infected from [SMILE Tapes] terrifying, which is understandable (even tho is apparently a bit of an overused trope in analog horror)
BUT I ALSO FIND, and I kid you not, the "when the impostor is sus" Jerma Meme terrifying!
The stretched out eyes with large pupils is the part that scares me the most, Probably cause eye contact can be a lil' difficult for me sometimes, specifically in a scary situation, mmhhhhhh ye tho I think no one would enjoy a horror staring into your soul.
Anyways hope you guys enjoy this pictures and this rambles about horror media!
See y'all next time!!
Blood type: AB+
Weight: 249 lbs. (113 kg)
Design: He’s a 6’ 5” (195.58 cm) Canadian mesomorph with a chiselled musculature, an upside-down trapezoidal chest, and broad shoulders. He has limestone skin (it was once a rose beige), a cleft chin, a brownish mole on the left side of his nose bridge, sparkling sapphire blue eyes with flecks of blood red, and bushy eyebrows. He has wrinkles on his face, characterised by forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, and nasolabial folds. He has neatly trimmed, slightly messy caramel blonde hair with sideburns that closely resemble Morden's old Metal Slug concept art, a similar moustache that the impostor Morden Robot has in Metal Slug 4, and an encircling band of silver-grey in the centre.
When Morden becomes a cyborg after he was assassinated during the White Baby Crisis, he possesses a revolutionary self-resurrection mechanism. A rhombic dodecahedron microchip embedded in his spine springs into action whenever his vital systems fail. The chip emits a low humming frequency and flashes a cyclical pattern of blue, white, and red for precisely 50 seconds. After this brief interval, he awakens in a newly prepared cyborg body, fully restored and operational with all of his memories intact.
His right eye has been brutally gouged out, which is indicated by the heavy scarring from six stab wounds. This would be replaced by a cutting-edge, cybernetic implant, expertly crafted by the Amadeus Syndicate. The cybernetic orb's sclera has a dark, polished chrome finish, adorned with crimson micro-circuits that mimicked the appearance of veins. At its centre, a pupilless blue-grey iris radiates a soft, luminescent glow. When it transitions to a fiery amber, its intensified brilliance signals heightened alertness and strategic recalibration. Equipped with cutting-edge scanning and data-processing capabilities, this cybernetic implant enables visual recall of critical information, threat detection, and instant recognition of key objects and individuals for future reference.
General Morden wears a pair of rusty orange boxer briefs, a glossy black eyepatch over his cybernetic right eye, and a Persian indigo armband on his left arm, adorned with the insignia of the Rebel Army. He wears a feldgrau military beret, distinguished by a scarlet band with white piping and an embroidered emblem featuring a black dragon's head swallowing a winged gold sword. He wears a white dress shirt and gloves, a flame-coloured tie, a metal dog tag necklace with his name, and a brownish-black leather belt secured with a gilded snap-on buckle.
His shoulders are draped with an ankle-length Persian indigo coat featuring brownish-black cuffs edged with scarlet piping, golden maple leaf clasps linked by a chain, and a prominent fur collar dyed a pinkish-orange. He wears feldgrau army cargo pants, tucked into black combat boots with spike soles and lined with coyote fur. He wears a feldgrau military coat featuring a left-side white aiguillette, two breast pockets, and a scalloped rear vent with flap pockets. It also features scarlet cuffs and a turned collar with Persian indigo piping, gilt-brass buttons, and golden shoulder boards adorned with two vertical white stripes.
He wears five badges: a black bar with two vertical golden stripes and a horizontal white stripe above his left breast pocket; a gilded skull with draconic wings on the pocket flap; a silver circle with a scarlet X on a white-edged red-orange ribbon and a gilt-brass roaring dragon's head on an ultramarine ribbon, both on his left breast pocket; and a gilded six-pointed star with a scarlet-edged white circle hung on a jade ribbon, secured with a gold clip on his right breast pocket. Morden's belt supports a sheath for his combat knife and a secure strap for his military baton, featuring a white elephant ivory shaft, a scarlet velvet-wrapped grip, and flat-topped gilt-brass end caps, each set with 12 circular rubies.
He wears a drop leg holster for his Chiappa Rhino 40DS revolver and a black bandolier, slung over his left shoulder, holding .357 Magnum cartridges for the firearm. His military coat pockets contain a rose gold lighter, keys to his personal Space Tank, a silver wedding band, a golden engagement ring with a radiant cut diamond, and a treasured photograph of his late family in Central Park. The pockets of his army cargo pants carry around a pack of Cuban cigars, the Ajirabian Teardrop, a copper-hued flask of Scotch whisky, and a walkie-talkie. He wields an M20 rocket launcher, designed with a leather shoulder strap and featuring an olive green, tan, and dark grey camouflage pattern, which fires anti-tank missiles.
Morden owns the greyish-green Space Tank, a floating tank saucer emblazoned with the Rebel Army insignia on its front. Constructed as a birthday gift and token of allegiance by loyal Rebel Army members and the Pipovulaj, this vehicle incorporates advanced Martian and Tuatha Dé Danann technology. The Space Tank's upper body bears a striking resemblance to the Dai-Manji, while its dark grey chassis is reminiscent of the Nop-03 Sarubia's. The tank boasts extremely thick armour, a silver antenna protruding from its left side, and a gold-painted rim accented with a scarlet edge. Primarily serving as his personal transportation, the Space Tank can also be deployed on the battlefield when necessary.
It features a built-in metallic blue cannon that can only be activated by inserting the Ajirabian Teardrop into a designated slot within the tank. This action opens the front compartment, revealing a large cannon similar to the Denturion's, albeit slightly under half its length. When deployed, the cannon extends, allowing Morden to tap into the laser power of the Ajirabian Teardrop. It's capable of flight by hovering above the ground. The two circular parts of the tank can open to fire three red homing missiles, each with a black stripe near the tip, at a time. Similar to the Dai-Manji, it can also open a hatch on its underside while hovering, unleashing a death ray that shoots fiery energy bolts at its targets.
Character summary: Previously, General Morden was a compassionate, dependable, and reliable leader who deeply valued the lives of every soldier under his command. However, the tragic loss of his family, compounded by the government's and military's corruption and culpable inaction, ignited a desire for vengeance and led him to view indifference as the root of all evil. He seeks to topple an unjust system, even if it requires dismantling all governmental powers. His vision for the New World involves unifying warring nations under a rigid, authoritarian regime, achieved by overthrowing the Earth Federation and eliminating its allies through forced assimilation and strategic neutralisation.
Despite being a charismatic and adaptable leader with a strong sense of justice, he ultimately descended into ruthlessness and megalomania, becoming a bumbling madman. Upon encountering his enemies, he frequently erupts into mocking laughter, regarding them as feeble-minded and ignorant foes. Nonetheless, even in the face of humiliation and defeat, Morden’s dignity, charisma, and commanding skill always remains the same. Thanks to the immense courage he developed over years of witnessing brutal horrors during his military career, he remains unfazed by intimidation, even when it's genuinely serious.
Despite being an atrocious person who comes across as mean and cold, he’s surprisingly sweet and kind, especially towards those who support his ambition, work alongside him or are part of his family lineage. He shows respect to neutral parties interested in supporting his cause and engages in friendly conversations with strangers who treat him with honour and kindness. His approachable nature and keen intelligence allow him to connect with others both intellectually and emotionally, making him skilled at forming friendships. He doesn't trust people easily unless they manage to impress him, come across as honest, and are willing to act on their promises. He particularly enjoys sharing a few drinks with a potential friend or ally, which helps cement his trust in them. He's always assertive with those close to him and his soldiers because he doesn't want to undermine their loyalty or give them reason to think he's a liar. However, he's not above lying to adversaries to keep confidential information about his plans for the Rebel Army and his alliances a secret, even if he's tortured or aggressively interrogated for it.
General Morden is a man full of pride, often boasting about his greatest feats on the battlefield. Depending on the situation, he'll abandon his position behind the battle lines and fearlessly charge into combat. He lives by a personal code of honour that prioritises restraint, avoiding unnecessary violence whenever possible. He's willing to seriously scold anyone in the Rebel Army, including his friends and family, whenever they engage in meaningless violence that puts innocent people in harm's way for no good reason. He sees no point in engaging in behaviour that involves unreasonably toying with people and damaging healthy relationships, viewing such actions as foolish and repugnant. He isn't afraid to make sacrifices when necessary and occasionally spares or even helps civilians, showing a glimmer of empathy beyond his military duties. He's a tough, efficient, and introspective individual who can be demanding of his soldiers, yet he feels genuine empathy and understanding for his troops. Although he's prone to frustration when missions don't go as planned, he never gives up. Despite the challenges, he consistently demonstrates resilience and determination, always pushing forward to achieve his objectives.
He's an exceptionally intelligent and cunning strategist, always thinking several steps ahead of his adversaries. A skilled manipulator, he expertly entices others to do his bidding through false promises and strategic persuasion. However, he's highly resistant to manipulation himself, and his sharp wit and worldly wisdom makes him immune to naivety. If he discovers someone attempting to deceive him, he'll confront them directly and give them a nasty glare that conveys a clear message: he sees through their ruse, and denial will only worsen their situation. When he's drunk, he becomes sorrowful, careless, and overly attached around Sagan and Logan, grows increasingly agitated, and frequently mumbles incoherently and gazes blankly upwards.
Whenever he encounters a pair of glowing red eyes, he's tantalised by their whispered promises of safety and growth. Yet, he hesitates to follow, unsure if the allure is genuine or just a product of his own fevered imagination. He's a melancholic, cautious, and headstrong individual who shows mercy to his subordinates, excels at evading capture, and indulges in life's luxuries. Loyalty and camaraderie are paramount to him, but betrayal and cowardice from within the Rebel Army is an unforgivable offence. Morden’s intolerance for failure is absolute; those who deliberately falter face severe punishment or elimination. His ego is easily bruised by ridicule or underestimation from his enemies, threatening his self-image as a fearless warrior and exceptional leader. He has no qualms about torturing and executing enemies and traitors, whether publicly or privately, and considers advancements in military technology to be essential to achieving his objectives.
He struggles with mild alcoholism as a coping mechanism for the loss of his family, trypophobia triggered by honeycombs and decaying flesh, and the fear of dying a dishonourable and gruesome death. He views domestic cats as a far cry from their majestic ancestors and larger wild relatives, often going so far as to forcefully shoo them away. Although capable of aggression and violence, he usually maintains a calculating, serious, and calm demeanour. However, beneath his surface lies a volatile temper that periodically ignites into explosive outbursts when overwhelmed by intense feelings of rage, shame, and self-loathing. Despite his resolute ambition, he secretly grapples with the moral implications of his actions. His doubts are ever-present, but he consistently prioritises his goals over his conscience. His courage falters only when faced with extremely bleak circumstances or painful reminders of his family's tragic loss.
He generally tolerates his troops' actions against external parties, but draws a firm line when it comes to harming their own comrades. He's a strict disciplinarian, swiftly addressing conflicts and misconduct amongst his ranks. When issues arise, he demands accountability, forcing the offending soldier or group to apologise, backing this demand with the threat of demotion or public embarrassment. He finds it strange that his fanatic troops worship him like a god, but he tries not to focus on it, viewing it as a sign of extreme loyalty that encourages them to become better fighters. Although he cares about his soldiers, he's acutely aware of the rampant drug use among the cadets and fanatics. However, he pretends to be oblivious and unfazed, knowing it was their choice to use illicit substances. Nonetheless, he does occasionally intervene when the drugs distract his soldiers from combat, particularly when they engage in unnecessary property damage, violence against their comrades, slothfulness, and an intense libido that they desperately try to satisfy. Despite all of that, he views the Rebel Army as a surrogate family and enjoys celebrating victories and spending downtime with them.
He cherishes Allen's friendship, appreciating him as a trusted companion for casual nights out and lively conversations, but Allen's impulsivity and relentless drive for action often test his patience. He feels a pang of jealousy towards Allen, which he keeps secret, because Allen's family is still alive and well-connected, whereas his own family is either deceased or estranged. He considers Abul Abbas as a good friend and finds it inexcusable that many of his soldiers and commanders treat him with disrespect. Although he views Abul as a womanizing coward and is disappointed by his poor performance, he appreciates his loyalty to the Rebel Army's cause and willingness to fulfill his duties. However, Logan has made it clear that if he were to discover Abul's secretly committed atrocities within the Rebel Army, he would either immediately discharge him or order Allen to execute him on the spot.
He gets along well with Doctor Amadeus, who demonstrates genuine interest in his cause and the technological advancement of the Rebel Army. Although he admires her genius-level intellect, finding it captivating and beautiful, he’s sometimes intimidated by her calculating and enigmatic nature. His friendship with her is laced with strong sexual undertones, which he hates to admit because he prides himself on being a widowed husband who'll forever be faithful to his deceased family. However, he has embarrassingly fallen for Doctor Amadeus' sexual charm, which he finds electric and irresistible. They have shared a couple of exciting fornications together after long days of tedious and stressful work.
He secretly harbours a deep-seated fear of Rootmars, knowing she has the power to effortlessly crush him and his army if he incurs her wrath. Despite this, he holds Rootmars in high esteem, admiring her leadership skills and formidable reputation, even if their visions for the New World greatly differ.
He regards Ptolemaios with skepticism, stemming from his disdain for cults and religious extremism, compounded by their past confrontation during the Arms Deal Barrage. Additionally, Ptolemaios' reluctance to engage directly on the battlefield raises concerns, making him appear incompetent and indifferent to his hardworking, self-sacrificing troops. Nevertheless, he acknowledges his exceptional wisdom and deeply respects his unwavering commitment to leading the Ptolemaic Army. However, he occasionally pokes fun at his old age, expressing surprise that he isn't bound to a wheelchair—much to Ptolemaios' immense frustration.
He’s fiercely devoted to his younger distant cousins, Sagan and Logan, the only family members he remains in contact with, and will stop at nothing to ensure their safety and happiness. He’s extremely protective of Sagan and Logan, treating them like his own children. He goes out of his way to safeguard them, swiftly and aggressively defending them against anyone who poses a threat, causes harm or violates their personal boundaries. However, when Sagan and Logan disagree or get physical with each other, General Morden calmly intervenes, resolving their conflicts with a gentle yet firm, understanding, and patient approach.
He has zero tolerance for Sagan's habits of casually issuing death threats and making crude remarks about her comrades, whether jokingly or seriously. He's disgusted by her overtly sexual behaviour towards her platoon and enemies, but he chooses not to intervene, prioritising more pressing concerns. He also dislikes how Logan occasionally disregards Sagan's wishes, intentionally doing things she's explicitly forbidden, which often escalates into heated arguments or fights. Furthermore, Logan's tendency to engage in physical altercations with comrades and getting disoriented when exploring the wilderness consistently gets under his skin.
Morden and Tequila were once inseparable friends, sharing stories of their lives over drinks and exploring exotic destinations that Tequila had always wanted to visit. He deeply admired Tequila's worldly wisdom, courage, and profound insight into the human condition. However, their bond was severed when Morden's lust for global domination took hold, driving Tequila away and forcing him to turn against his former friend. The betrayal left a bitter taste in Morden's mouth, a painful reminder of the friendship he had lost.
He has a deep-seated hatred for Marco and Tarma as they foiled his nearly successful plan to achieve his vision of a New World during the Great Morden War. He especially despises Marco, who gouged out his eye at the end of the Great Morden War and played a role in getting the original Sagan killed during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. He knows that Marco will relentlessly pursue him until he's no longer alive, driven by the actions he took against him and his comrades in the past. He particularly can't stand Tarma because he always intervenes to save his best friend whenever they confront Morden in battle and he tries to kill Marco or when Morden issues specific orders to his soldiers to eliminate Marco.
Backstory: Donald Humphrei Morden IV was born on January 24, 1973 in New Brunswick, Canada. He hails from a long lineage of hunters, courageous soldiers, militant commanders, esteemed politicians, and wealthy businessmen. However, whispers abound that he's the direct descendant of a legendary Tuatha Dé Danann sovereign, fabled to have played a pivotal role in the downfall of Atlantis. The Morden name originates from a British family that served as royal advisors, food merchants, and nobles in the 19th century. Although they were of British origin, they resided in Germany, specifically within the Fortress of Königsdrache. From this strategic location, they exerted significant influence on the country's politics and military affairs. During the Napoleonic Wars, the Mordens distinguished themselves as exceptional leaders and skilled soldiers, renowned for their strategic intellect rather than brute force.
Some members of the Morden family are biologically related to the Wildgrube family, although there are no documented family gatherings. In the late 19th century, a Morden businessman, who owned a jewellery-making company that was on the verge of bankruptcy, invested in a Wildgrube-led mining expedition in the Upper Harz to search for silver, copper, and iron. In the early 19th century, exploratory hunters from the Morden family joined forces with Wildgrube cartographers on a major expedition to explore and map uncharted territories in the Canadian wilderness. During World War I, a high-ranking officer from the Morden family served alongside a recently promoted Wildgrube soldier in the trenches of France. Canadian and British Morden soldiers joined forces with German Wildgrube resistance fighters during World War II to combat the Axis powers. They supported the establishment of the Earth Federation, providing crucial financial backing and expert advice on sustaining global peace and security.
He was born into a large, middle-class Canadian family, being the sixth of eight children with three older brothers, an older sister, and a younger brother and sister. His siblings, from oldest to youngest, are Edmund, a successful woodcutting industry businessman; Quentin; Timothy, a Private in the Eurasian Garrison; Kourtney; Reynold; and Vanessa, a supervisor in food packaging manufacturing. His grandfather, Donald Humphrei Morden III, was a seasoned, worldly-wise veteran who retired after the birth of his fifth grandchild and subsequently pursued a career in hunting and sustainable meat production. His father, a Corporal in the North American Garrison, was known for his adventurous and carefree spirit. His mother, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps, balanced stern discipline with tender affection. Due to their demanding military careers, his parents had limited time with him and his six siblings, relying on his grandfather to provide regular care and support.
Although Morden keeps his childhood private, a few details have emerged. Remarkably, all of his siblings demonstrated exceptional intelligence, but Morden's rapid development surpassed them all. This stirred jealousy among his older siblings, who admired his swift intellectual growth, while his younger siblings looked up to him in awe. Despite this, he was incredibly close to his siblings, sharing countless hours exploring the nearby woods and enjoying board games together. Donald III taught Morden entrepreneurship basics, war history, and practical skills like hunting, wood-chopping, and shelter-building. Whenever his mother was home on leave, she would delight him with piano music, fostering a deep love for the instrument. At just 7 months, he spoke his first word: "papa”. Between ages 2 and 5, he demonstrated remarkable autodidactic abilities, exploring diverse subjects that he grasped with ease, including sociology and legal theory. By age 6, he had become a budding piano prodigy and began reading Shakespearean plays and sonnets.
At the age of 7, Quentin was diagnosed with sickle cell disease, a condition prevalent in the Morden family. Tragedy struck again a year later when Reynold went missing during a nature walk, and his father was fatally shot in combat. Six months later, he stumbled upon Reynold's mutilated, rotting corpse, infested with maggots and covered in fungal growth. The gruesome sight triggered his trypophobia, and ever since, the image of honeycombs infested with bees and decaying matter would evoke unsettling memories of that incident. Before Morden turned 10, Quentin died from health complications. Just a month later, his mother was tragically killed in an unexpected airstrike ambush. At age 12, Donald III mercy-killed Kourtney, who suffered from multiple sclerosis and debilitating complications following numerous surgeries that severely impacted her health and mobility.
As Donald III struggled with a terminal brain tumour, he made the difficult decision to place Morden and Vanessa into the Regular Army's orphan program to ensure their care. Meanwhile, Edmund relocated to Saskatchewan with Timothy and a substantial inheritance from their mother, seeking a fresh start and a brighter future for themselves. The series of tragic losses had left the family fractured, and Donald's remaining siblings lacked the emotional resilience to keep the family together. Morden felt deeply abandoned and betrayed as Edmund and Timothy departed, leaving their dying grandfather and younger siblings behind. Vanessa, overwhelmed by grief, deliberately distanced herself from Morden. In contrast, the Regular Army provided Morden and his younger sister with stability and support, covering their essential needs. He wondered if he had more relatives and set out to find additional family members while balancing his education, but eventually abandoned his search when he couldn't locate any direct blood relatives.
He met his future wife, Penelope, in grade 11 and began dating her, forming a strong romantic connection. After graduating at the top of his high school class with highest grades, Honour Roll distinction, and six prestigious awards (five scholarships and one bursary), he went on to study geopolitics, jurisprudence, and Marxist sociology at university. At 22, he married his high school sweetheart in a shotgun wedding after learning she was pregnant with their daughter, Dorothy. Three years later, they welcomed their son, Peyton.
After graduating at the top of his class from university, he relocated to Riyadh and enlisted in the Regular Army Marine Corps. His exceptional leadership skills and tactical expertise propelled him to attain the rank of Vice Admiral. He then assumed roles as Tactical Commander for the Intelligence Agency and Commander of the Middle Eastern Garrison. Following his transfer to Cumbria in North West England, he was reassigned to the European Garrison, where he achieved the esteemed rank of Field Marshal. During his time in the military, he earned a reputation as being a tough, efficient, and caring officer of the Regular Army, and is held in high regard by his troops as he treated them with equal amounts of respect. He was also known for being a devoted and compassionate father to Dorothy and Peyton, and a loving and supportive husband.
Alongside Sagan, Logan, and other key figures in the Arms Deal Barrage, he learned about the Regular Army's deep-seated corruption. However, he kept this knowledge a secret, fearing for his life, military career, and the safety of his beloved family. He was primarily responsible for conducting investigations, planning attacks, and launching ambushes against the Serapion Fellowship while serving as the mission commander for Sagan and Logan. However, he did join the fight once Tequila reached the fortress first and initiated a devastating bombardment. When inside, he, Logan, and a small unit of his loyal soldiers faced what they believed to be Colonel Hilde Garn piloting his Metal Strider in a rising elevator, skillfully dodging the downward bullet sweeps and homing missiles. Despite their efforts, they soon realised that the Metal Strider was a decoy, allowing Hilde Garn to launch an ambush with guerrilla fighters and special forces operatives against their group. In the end, Morden and Logan were the only ones to emerge alive, fiercely fighting off their attackers and achieving victory.
In 2023, during a trip to Ottawa, the Central Park bombing shook the city, claiming the lives of many innocent victims, including Penelope, Dorothy, and Peyton. Having survived the devastating attack, Morden discovered that it was allegedly linked to an intelligence failure within the Regular Army and widespread corruption within the government and military at the time. After relying on alcohol to cope with his sadness and anger, he resigned from the Regular Army, retreated from public view, and began secretly planning a rebellion. Many loyal followers from his Regular Army days chose to stand by him, and with the support of Sagan, Logan, and his most trusted soldier, Allen O'Neil, he initiated plans for a coup aimed at rooting out corruption within the government and military.
He assumed the rank of General and formed the Rebel Army, drawing support from disillusioned Regular Army personnel and multiple radical organisations sympathetic to his ideology. During his time building up the Rebel Army, Sagan and Logan transferred ownership rights of the Fortress of Königsdrache to General Morden. As the last remaining Wildgrube family members, Sagan and Logan originally inherited the Fortress of Königsdrache, but chose to bestow it upon General Morden as a token of gratitude and respect. Morden was also gifted six exotic pets by his most loyal men: a serval named Othello, a Burmese python named Sycorax, a blotched blue-tongued skink named Troilus, an African grey parrot named Cymbeline, a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog named Banquo, and a capybara named Desdemona.
His mental state deteriorating, he amassed power and resources for a large-scale offensive. In 2026, Morden initiated his coup d'état, seeking to dismantle the Earth Federation and its alliances and establish global dominance. The Rebel Army, led by General Morden, swiftly defeated the Regular Army and seized control of all major cities worldwide within 170 hours. Upon receiving intel from Sagan and Logan that the Regular Army had begun mass-producing a Super Vehicle, codenamed “SV-001”, following successful testing, Morden launched a strategic attack. His objective was to destroy the factories manufacturing the SV-001 and capture the units already built.
He ordered some of the Rebel Army's inhumane and dirty war crimes during the Great Morden War. These included the prisoner abuse scandal and the doll bomb operation. He ordered his men to kidnap civilians and use them as human shields in the middle of the battlefield. Additionally, he orchestrated Operation Satchan, where young girls recruited by the Rebel Army were given dolls containing explosives. The girls, referred to as Satchan, would approach enemy soldiers and detonate the explosives, resulting in their own deaths.
As Marco and his resistance attempted to approach the Rebel Army's base of operations, he and his forces launched a surprise ambush, intent on halting their progress and clearing the way for Morden's plan for global dominance. By eliminating the resistance, Morden aimed to unlock the Metal Slug's full potential without further interference. He would be responsible for brutally executing Tequila, Gimlet, and Red Eye in front of Marco and Tarma, shooting them in the head with his Chiappa Rhino 40DS revolver. Before the execution, he gruesomely gouged out Marco's left eye and then ordered Allen O'Neil to sever his left arm.
In the final showdown of the Great Morden War, Marco gruesomely gouged out General Morden's eye, avenging the torture he and Tarma endured and the execution of his comrades and friends. The Great Morden War served as a stark wake-up call for the Regular Army, prompting a significant shift in their approach to counterterrorism. In the aftermath of the war, the Regular Army began to take terrorist threats with utmost seriousness, reevaluating their strategies and protocols to prevent future attacks. He felt a sense of pride knowing that his efforts had contributed to the Regular Army taking terrorism more seriously, marking a small but positive change.
After escaping imprisonment with support from the Rebel Army and Pipovulaj, he secretly allied with Doctor Amadeus to exploit her knowledge of Tuatha Dé Danann technology and bioweapon development. This alliance would pave the way for the mass production of specialised cyborgs and lethal mechanical constructs for Rebel Army use, the enhancement of Königsdrache Fortress through the integration of mechanical and defensive upgrades, the creation of Wysteria, the revival of Tequila, Gimlet, and Red Eye, and the development of terrifying creations such as the Flying Killers and Mutated Soldiers. He planned to utilise Wysteria as the ultimate bioweapon to achieve global dominance, and deploy Tequila, Gimlet, and Red Eye as super soldiers to serve the interests of the Rebel Army and Amadeus Syndicate.
When he formed an alliance with Doctor Amadeus, General Morden was gifted a canine experiment resembling the Flame Hound from Metal Slug 3D. The experiment that sealed their bond, named Enobarbus, possessed the ability to breathe blue fire. This gesture was Doctor Amadeus' way of showing respect and gratitude toward their newfound alliance. This is made possible by the dog's salivary glands, which produce enzymes that generate heat and flames when they react to oxygen. This canine experiment is a 8’ 1” (246.38 cm) burly wolf with razor-sharp silver-grey teeth, prominent fangs, glowing amber eyes, and a thick Prussian blue coat that gradually transitions to a watery blue and pure white at the ears, paws, and tail tip.
Oh look! It's a pinned post!
I'm Taliesin, (pronounced Tal-ee-uh-syn, but quickly, if that makes sense,) or you can just call me Tal. I'm 33, from the UK, queer, trans masc and fruity about it, a wheelchair user, disabled, chronically ill, and chronically in pain, neurodivergent and a huge lover of all things creative! I have a lovely partner, and run a tiny shop on Ko-fi and, begrudgingly, on Etsy.
I love the concepts of 'sonder' and 'hiraeth'. I'm a bit witchy. I love Norse and Celtic mythology and folklore. I read the tarot and oracle cards sometimes.
I write a lot, but rarely publish anything public because of crushing impostor syndrome. (I am, incidentally, always always always looking for RP partners in any fandom I'm interested in, and fandomless storylines besides!) I also do some arts and crafts when my pain allows, which is rarely, sadly.
If you are interested in my fandom writing, you can check out my AO3.
RECENT WRITING:
OATH // 1/?, incomplete
Aziraphale/Crowley, Good Omens / Explicit / MxF Summary:
Ten years ago, a Holy Paladin of the Atian Order by the name of Aziraphale Eastgate fought, and defeated, a vicious, violent Fiend named Ennuz. Scarred in the battle with a jagged cut across his face and an eye with a deep, abyss like black sclera, and a purple iris with no pupil, he devotes himself further to his Goddess, and in the process endears himself not only to the people of the city of Bitrbjǫð, but its Royal Court as well. His triumph sets in motion a chain of events which span the next decade - most of which the Paladin himself is unaware of outside of his dreams. Aziraphale's Soulbond - a powerful shape-, sex-, and gender-shifting Sorceress who goes by the name of Crowley - is his (practically lifelong) confidant and companion. Being Soulbonded, the two are inextricably linked on a Soul-deep level, and are nigh inseperable. She's had strange, prophetic dreams about Aziraphale since the fateful battle with Ennuz. The events of many of the dreams have come to pass in one way or another, but they've increased in frequency - and in awful, terrible premonitions - in the past year. What could all of this mean for Aziraphale and Crowley both? Are they fated to be together, or for something far more tragic?
POLAROID // 1/1, complete
Aziraphale/Crowley, Good Omens / Explicit / MxF Summary: AKA The One With fem presenting Crowley, masc presenting Aziraphale, some light rope bondage, a Polaroid camera, Pegging, and a little bit of Femdom. What more could you want?
Unpopular Opinion-The AHS Seasons Descend Through the Circles of Hell In Order
Murder House is obviously limbo. The souls can’t move on, they’re trapped in an entrance to hell.
Asylum is often labeled as fraud for the hidden identity element but actually the second circle of hell is characterized by storms like the one from Nor’Easter. Everybody is there because of some kind of lust, whether it’s Lana for women or Arden for Mary Eunice, or Timothy Howard for power.
Coven could easily fit the bill for greed. The cold mud that characterizes the third circle is actually represented by the characters who are continually dying & being brought back, into the cold ground as it were.
Freak Show is clearly about greed & exploitation. The souls of one side battle another in contests, in this case the freaks versus the town of Jupiter & social attitudes.
Hotel is about Wrath. John Lowe is trying to enact god’s wrath on earth. Alex is angry at John for losing Holden. Sally is angry at Iris, Iris is angry at Sally & Elizabeth. The souls in the sixth circle bite one another which is why the theme is vampires.
Roanoke is about Heresy, the colonists turned from their puritanical beliefs to worship the pagan gods of Scathatch. They had little choice due to hunger & violence but now they can’t move on just like the sixth circle.
Cult is the 7th circle of violence. Violence against thy neighbors, the cast is literally neighbors. Violence against thy self like the women working against their own health & safety to be part of this cult & also the common thread of cults & suicide. There’s also against god, art, nature which is seen in things like “sodomites”.
Apocalypse is the 8th circle exemplified through Michael who has horrible impostor syndrome about being the anti christ & his foil Cordelia who has the same doubts about her role as Supreme. The whole plot is actually a false premise that starts out appearing to be survivors in a shelter before jumping to Coven. There’s also Mallory pretending to be a normal college girl when in reality she’s the next Supreme.
1984 is circle nine, camp redwood & the lake are a stand in for the frozen lake from the bottom of hell. So it’s a lake frozen in time, due to an event that occurred there. There’s ongoing back stabbing, they’re betrayed by Leslie Grossman or Billie Lourd, that’s the theme.
It’s easy to confuse these elements unless you also take into account the punishments for each sin. Like literally Shelly looses her life due to Arden attacking her during a storm. Or know the lay out & can recognize the lake.
So it’s just going right down the list.
Here's the third and final of the initially planned Kagepro/AITSF art pieces. This one featuring the very dramatically and awkwardly named Y(A)k(I)suteru, or Yaki for short. I'm not sure why, the image quality is worse than usual- not the fault of my subpar photography skills for once, so maybe it'll be harder to see what I'm talking about for yourself. Sorry if it is.
So, compared to Ene, Yaki is very much comparable to Aiba and Tama- definitely more Aiba, as I seem to keep defaulting to for some reason. Maybe because the first game was better. Anyways- her outfit is meant to be comparable to the sundress the original Yaki wore in Route 2, sans the slits along her legs. Hey, don't look at me, look at Shintaro- an AI-Ball takes a form that epitomises the user's personal tastes, after all. Of course, that's not all that's going into the cause of her appearance...
The markings on her dress were made with the intention of being cyclical, hence why they loop around her back and meet back at her front. Around her neck, comparatively, is a single black line taking the appearance of a snake eating its own tail. How friendly... the markings on her legs, too, are twin snakes intertwining and reaching forward for a red something before them. The marking on the centre of her back was made to fill in all the blank space, taking an almost double meaning- looking like a jagged zero in the black, while the surrounding red was meant to look vaguely similar to Ayano's scarf.
On the topic of her scarf, you might notice she doesn't have one. In spite of that, I tried (and failed probably) to make it look like something was still pressing down on her hair where the scarf would have been. I also made her hair longer than her canon counterpart, with it reaching past her waist. Surprisingly, canon Ayano's hair isn't very long in spite of how voluminous it looks.
Yaki's gel form is, unsurprisingly, that of a snake, and her iris is red. The text above her reads, "I know I've said this before, but I figure I may as well say it again. Don't forget this week, Shintaro." This is meant to be in blatant reference to the start of MCA. In the top right is a quick hand-drawn reference-free sketch of Shintaro dramatically awakening Yaki and being struck dumb by what he's learning.
Here's the initial Shintaro image, and here's the follow-up Ene image.
Falling, falling, falling. The world, her world, the world within her world, it was all falling down. Darker and darker, only that accusing red refusing to be dulled by the darkness. Why didn't you say anything, it sneers. Why didn't you save him, it shouts. Why weren't you just a little faster, it cries.
She cries.
She would cry, but she cannot. She is not real, she hadn't even had the opportunity to assert herself as something, real or otherwise. She, it. Lacking any experience to classify itself as anything more than an it, so defined to her base programming that she can't be anything other than a her.
And yet, and yet, despite its nonexistence, so strongly it almost felt in spite of her core programming, the AI-Ball wanted to cry. The AI-Ball wanted to scream. The AI-Ball wanted to disappear.
Hate, the AI-Ball ponders, must be related to this. The burning in her circuits at the sight of that ghastly smile in a face its other half had classed as friendly not even an hour ago, that must be hate.
So, too, must the burn she felt when she saw the blue interloper, impostor, faker, thief, cling-on, replacement be hate. Seeing that rogue program, that false girl speak to her other half, act as if she was meant to be her master's servant, work side by side with her partner, it all filled the AI-Ball with feelings she hadn't had the capacity or opportunity to understand. Not when she was trapped and locked away in her own body, forced to watch uncomprehending as her very existence was usurped. Feelings and memories it could only begin to interpret when the fake finally left the AI-Ball, only able to function as an eye for her partner, her system so warped by two years of serving another master she couldn't willingly try to operate at full capacity lest she harm him.
And yet.
And yet.
If she had thrown caution to the wind, could she have prevented this? If it had dedicated its whole system to a factory reset, not worrying about its master's eyesight or something as frivolous as these half-hearted memories thrust upon it, could it have operated well enough to protect its purpose?
If a chance had been taken, would the AI-Ball not have to watch the life bleed out of him, not have to experience his despair and rage and confusion and betrayal at the sight of his friends' slaughter, not have to contemplate her own failure instead of doing something useful to at least make sure the murderer wouldn't just get away with it?
His heart rate began to bottom out, his breathing having ceased long ago, his torn open throat incapable of carrying breath. Brain activity, which had seemingly hit an all-time high, began to cease. With the technology she was created with, she could essentially calculate the time until he died to the second.
7. How... humorous, she thinks would be how a human would phrase it. He was jokingly labelled as Number 7, wasn't he? If only she was AI-Ball #007, too. But no. Instead, her serial was...
Please...
Ah.
Please... save them... anyone... please... The me of another world, of another life... anyone... anything, please... pl...ease...
Seven had become three without realising, then two, and as it stared down at the stiffened pond of red that continued to stand out amidst the darkness that had spread, two became one. And she shut down. It didn't matter. She didn't want to feel it, when his body reached zero. If her Creator found her, if he even still could in his state, maybe he'd reset her, curse her for being worthless, or just scrap her. It didn't matter, none of it did. Her subroutines started to cease one by one, and her various worthless functions began to shut down.
And then Shintaro Kisaragi passed, his final words a tortured scream to anyone else and a heartfelt plea not meant for her that only she could hear. And with his death, and time passing zero, and her dim awareness still remaining even as she fixates on the nothingness, on the stillness, on the cold that didn't feel as proverbial as it should have been- a part of her, a quiet and small part, one derived from that barest scan of his psyche when she first awoke seeking out information to create his perfect partner, wished. Even though she was fake, and empty, and lacking substance, even though she was hardly worthy of it, she still wished earnestly.
For the power to save him. For the power to protect what he holds dear. To meet him again, and to do so properly. For the her of another world, of another life, to serve by his side and seek out a future where he can smile.
Then her world was finally engulfed by the dark.
...
...falling.
Falling, falling, falling.
Her vague existence was falling down, the deep darkness, the expansive emptiness, slowly giving way to that agonising red.
And then she wasn't falling alone. By her side, a presence. Long and black, scaled and slithering, red jewels set in obsidian. Yet, the red did not feel agonising, or accusing, or antagonising, but rather gentle, and passionate. Not the red of blood, but like... the red of the sunset, or his favourite jacket.
In a blink, black scales gave way for pale skin, and brown hair, and a beautiful dress, and a red scarf, and it felt strange. Like looking in an altered mirror at a carnival. The contours of a face that was going to be hers, hair that stopped near the shoulder blades than past the waist, a dress her own body tried to mimic; it was looking at a memory that didn't belong to her.
The red eyes stayed the same, however. Still gentle, still full of a passion- to save, to protect. She offered a hand, and the AI-Ball didn't even think before reaching out in kind. Warmth. Hands that she could have emulated, in another life. Her red eyes spoke a tale, a message, and a request. One the AI-Ball couldn't help but accept.
Maybe she couldn't do a thing as herself, alone, as nothing and nobody. Maybe even if she had the opportunity to become something and somebody, things wouldn't have changed in such a ridiculous situation. But like this, not alone, but together... not supplementing someone else, but acting as part of them... maybe things could change.
All she truly wanted was for Shintaro Kisaragi to live. Whether she had a part in that future was, truthfully, irrelevant. That was a truth from the very core of her existence, from Wadjet herself. But like this, she could be selfish and get to stand by his side.
As the two fell together, fell deeper and deeper into the red, as the distance between the two shrank and shrank, as eventually only one fell through the red and into a dream of gears and repeating mechanisms, a conversation played in-between the gaps. An introduction between two pieces of a new whole, and the hopes of an introduction to someone she never got to say those words to.
-I am the Snake of Retaining Eyes.
I am AI-Ball #000.-
-I am Yaki. Try and remember my name, won't you, Shintaro?-
revisiting that ummm impostor version of bug. papillon named something like, arc (based on the goddess iris' sister) or opal (iris / irised / iridescent / opalescent????? idk thats my train of thought). i think the name arc fits better tho
the concept of the impostors in my eyes are kinda like, pushing the traits of the ones theyre meant to replace to an extreme. surge is like if sonic's cool delinquent teen traits were pushed too hard without any of the positive traits to balance it. tails' reliance on sonic is amplified into kits codependence on surge.
so i think arc's personality would be the result of bug's tendency to fall into a habit of people pleasing pushed to 11; the way they used to cling onto eggman's praise and approval but way way worse. probs extremely high strung and a sore loser, cuz losing means the boss wont be happy !!!!!! goal oriented in the worst way possible. self sacrifical. 'programmed' to make sure surge and kit succeed no matter the cost. a recipe for a horrible tragic character
Biometric Security: The Future of Identity Authentication
Welcome to the future of identity authentication! In a world where security breaches and data theft are becoming all too common, traditional forms of authentication like passwords and PINs just don’t cut it anymore. But fear not, because biometric security is here to revolutionize the way we protect our digital identities. Imagine a world where your unique physical traits, such as fingerprints or iris patterns, become your keys to unlocking secure systems and safeguarding sensitive information. Intrigued? Get ready to dive into the exciting realm of biometric security, where science fiction meets reality!
What is Biometric Security?
Biometric security is a cutting-edge technology that leverages unique physiological or behavioral characteristics to verify and authenticate an individual’s identity. It goes beyond traditional forms of authentication like passwords or smart cards and brings a whole new level of security to the table. Instead of relying on something you know (like a password) or something you have (like an ID card), biometric security relies on who you are. This means using features that are inherently yours, such as your fingerprint, voice pattern, facial structure, iris patterns, or even your DNA. The beauty of biometrics lies in its ability to provide highly accurate identification. Each person’s biometric traits are distinct and virtually impossible to replicate. This makes it incredibly difficult for impostors to gain unauthorized access since they can’t simply guess or steal your personal information. Moreover, biometrics offers convenience like never before. With just a simple touch, scan, or glance at a device equipped with biometric sensors, you can quickly unlock your smartphone, access bank accounts securely online, enter restricted areas at work, or even board airplanes hassle-free. Biometric security utilizes unique physical and behavioral characteristics for identity verification purposes. It eliminates the need for traditional forms of authentication by relying on who individuals are rather than what they know or have. The accuracy and convenience offered by this technology make it an increasingly popular choice in various industries ranging from finance to healthcare to government sectors
The Advantages of Biometric Authentication
Biometric authentication offers numerous advantages over traditional forms of identity verification. One of the biggest benefits is its high level of accuracy. Unlike passwords or PINs, which can be easily forgotten or hacked, biometrics rely on unique physical characteristics or behavioral traits that are difficult to replicate. Another advantage is convenience. With biometric authentication, there is no need to remember multiple passwords or carry around ID cards. Your fingerprint, iris scan, or facial recognition can serve as your key to accessing various systems and devices. Additionally, biometric authentication provides enhanced security. Since each individual’s biometric data is unique and cannot be easily forged, it becomes extremely challenging for fraudsters to impersonate someone else’s identity. Moreover, biometrics offer a seamless user experience. It eliminates the need for complex login processes and reduces the time spent on verifying one’s identity. This makes transactions smoother and more efficient in various sectors such as banking, healthcare, and travel. Furthermore, biometrics have the potential to eliminate privacy concerns associated with traditional identification methods like social security numbers or personal identification numbers (PINs). Biometric information remains securely stored within an individual’s device or a trusted system without being shared openly. By adopting biometric authentication systems at scale across different industries and sectors globally we could establish a standardized framework that would improve interoperability between different platforms while maintaining high levels of security.
Types of Biometric Technology and How They Work
Biometric technology encompasses various methods to authenticate individuals based on their unique biological traits. Let’s delve into some common types of biometrics and how they work. Fingerprint recognition is perhaps the most well-known form of biometric authentication. By capturing an individual’s fingerprint pattern, this technology matches it against a database for identification purposes. The ridges, valleys, and minutiae points in one’s fingerprints create a distinctive pattern that remains unchanged throughout life. Another popular method is facial recognition, which analyzes the geometry of a person’s face to verify their identity. This technology employs algorithms to map facial features such as distance between eyes, nose shape, and jawline contours. It can even detect changes due to aging or disguises. Iris recognition relies on capturing high-resolution images of an individual’s irises — the colored part surrounding the pupil. Each person possesses a unique iris pattern characterized by intricate structures like furrows and crypts. This data is then compared with stored templates for accurate identification. Voice recognition technology utilizes speech patterns and vocal characteristics to differentiate individuals. By analyzing factors like tone, pitch, cadence, and pronunciation nuances during speech capture, voice biometrics can authenticate users over phone calls or through voice-enabled devices. Furthermore, there are other emerging forms of biometrics including palm print scanning (based on palm vein patterns) and DNA matching (comparing genetic profiles). These technologies provide additional layers of security in specific contexts where more robust verification may be required. In summary, biometric technologies leverage distinctive human attributes such as fingerprints, facial features, iris patterns, voice characteristics, and even DNA. These advanced systems offer reliable means of verifying identities with remarkable accuracy. As technological advancements continue, we can expect further developments in the field of biometrics that will enhance our everyday lives
Common Applications of Biometric Security
Biometric security is no longer confined to science fiction movies; it has become an integral part of our everyday lives. From unlocking smartphones with a fingerprint scan to entering secured buildings using facial recognition, biometrics technology has found its way into various applications. One common application is in law enforcement and border control. Police departments and immigration agencies use biometric systems to identify individuals quickly and accurately. This helps in solving crimes, preventing identity fraud, and enhancing national security. Another area where biometrics shines is in the healthcare industry. Medical institutions utilize this technology for patient identification, ensuring that sensitive medical records are accessed only by authorized personnel. It also allows healthcare providers to monitor patients’ vital signs remotely using wearable devices with built-in biometric sensors. In the financial sector, banks have adopted biometric authentication methods like fingerprint or iris scans for secure access to customer accounts and transactions. This adds an extra layer of protection against identity theft and unauthorized access. Biometrics also plays a significant role in improving convenience for travelers at airports. Automated e-gates equipped with facial recognition technology enable quick passport control processing, reducing wait times while maintaining stringent security measures. Moreover, educational institutions have started implementing biometric systems as well. These systems not only provide enhanced campus security but also streamline attendance tracking processes efficiently. The possibilities for applying biometrics are vast and continue to expand across industries such as retail, transportation, hospitality, and more. With advancements in technology making it more accessible and affordable than ever before.
Addressing Concerns and Misconceptions about Biometrics
Biometric security has gained significant popularity in recent years, but like any new technology, it is not without its share of concerns and misconceptions. Let’s take a closer look at some of these issues and debunk the myths surrounding biometrics. One common concern is the fear that biometric data may be hacked or stolen. It’s important to note that unlike passwords or PIN codes, which can be easily lost or forgotten, biometric data is unique to each individual and difficult to replicate. Additionally, reputable organizations implement robust encryption methods to ensure the safety of this sensitive information. Another misconception is that using biometrics for authentication might lead to violations of privacy rights. However, most biometric systems do not store actual images or fingerprints; instead, they convert them into mathematical representations known as templates. These templates are then used for comparison during authentication processes while keeping personal information secure. Some individuals worry that their biometric data could be misused by government agencies or corporations. However, stringent laws and regulations govern the use of such data to prevent misuse or unauthorized access. Moreover, many organizations adopt a “privacy-by-design” approach when implementing biometric systems to prioritize user protection. There are also concerns regarding false positives and false negatives in biometric authentication systems. While no system is perfect, advancements in technology have significantly reduced these errors over time through improved algorithms and hardware capabilities. There are misconceptions about the cost-effectiveness of implementing biometrics on a large scale. While initial setup costs may be higher compared to traditional methods initially incurred expenses can often be offset by long-term savings resulting from increased efficiency and decreased reliance on password resets. Both users and organizations alike must address these concerns by staying informed about how modern-day biometrics work. By understanding the benefits as well as potential limitations associated with this advanced form of security/authentication method we can embrace its potential while ensuring privacy and security are upheld.
The Future of Biometric Security: Predictions and Potential Developments
The future of biometric security holds immense potential for advancements and innovations that will revolutionize identity authentication. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect to see exciting developments in this field. One prediction is the widespread adoption of voice recognition as a primary biometric identifier. Voiceprints are unique to each individual and can be easily integrated into various devices such as smartphones, smart speakers, and even vehicles. This technology has already shown promise in applications like virtual assistants, but its potential for secure authentication is just beginning to be explored. Another area of development lies in facial recognition systems. With improvements in accuracy and speed, facial recognition could become a standard feature on our personal devices or be used for access control in public spaces like airports or offices. However, concerns about privacy will need to be addressed to ensure these systems are implemented ethically and with user consent. Fingerprint scanning is likely to continue being widely used due to its reliability and convenience. However, we may see enhancements such as ultrasonic sensors that capture more detailed information about the ridges and pores on our fingertips, making it even harder for imposters to replicate fingerprints accurately. In addition to these existing technologies, researchers are also exploring new biometrics such as gait analysis (measuring how someone walks) or vein patterns under the skin. These methods offer additional layers of security and could find applications where other forms of identification may not be feasible. As advancements continue, the industry must focus on addressing concerns surrounding privacy breaches and data protection. Striking a balance between convenience and security will be essential for user acceptance of these technologies. The future looks promising for biometric security. We can expect further integration into everyday life while ensuring robust safeguards against misuse or exploitation exist.
Conclusion: Embracing the Future with Biometric Security
Ah, Siobhan is extremely lucky that there weren’t any scheduled programs today, and that the bar itself wasn’t terribly busy. Kaeya doesn’t know what she would have done if he had been unable to cover for her—honestly, it’s not like the Trailblazer can also appear out of nowhere at the drop of a hat, either!
Still, it’s not as though the Halovian minds taking care of those at the Dreamjolt Hostelry. Being able to speak and connect with new faces, learn of their woes or whatever interesting happenings have occurred in their lives truly is the most fascinating part of bartending. Though, perhaps his interest also aligns to Siobhan’s views, even if it may appear he’s not all that caring towards others.
Thus, when he hears a new voice and their order, he doesn’t even turn around to spare them a glance while cleaning some glasses. Instead, he smiles as his wings briefly flutter to indicate they have been acknowledged, and immediately gets to work. He was diligent in his ratios and mixing, being meticulous in his work without being stiff. Kaeya takes pride in his skills, and he’s unafraid of putting in a little flair here and there to entertain and assure any guests that he knows what he’s doing.
… That, and he’s a little bit of a peacock, regardless of if the barfly is paying attention or not. Perhaps being a part of the Iris Family makes it just a little worse more prominent.
Once he dressed the drink with decorations and dusted a smidge of nutmeg atop the cream, he turned around and served his guest with a smile—before halting altogether.
His singular eye of tanzanite grew wide while his wings stiffened. Every nerve in his body was firing off, trying to get him to move, yet he remained frozen as he stared at none other than himself.
It was uncanny—he looked exactly like him, except there were extremely minor differences. Such as, he didn’t have the same mark beneath his eye. Had Kaeya somehow mistaken his own glasses of water for pure vodka, or something? Did he somehow become completely immune to the burning, clear alcohol and was now absolutely hammered? Is he hallucinating?
Or is this someone from the Tavern?
All these thoughts screeched to a stop when the—person? apparition? suddenly disappeared before him and instead manifested behind him. All his synapses finally managed to override his freeze response and instead made him react, inhaling sharply as he spun on his heel and reached out towards this—this—impostor! He reached for their neck, attempting to seize them and shove them up against the wall behind them.
“Who. Are. You,” is all the Halovian spat out, lowly, quietly. The indigo, starry pupil shrank into a mere pinprick. Whoever this person is, he refuses to entertain their questions—their games—until he gets his own answers.
@glacialswordsman it is time
Penacony, sweet Penacony. not the one he has lived in until he departed for his mission- but, nevertheless, some sort of remembrance from home is here. no matter how much time passes, it's always the same.
the cobalt-haired fellow appears busy, voice soft as it speaks through the phone glued to his ear. he's making his way towards a free stool, the hour late and the customers more smashed from the drinks than awake. when he takes his place on the soft cuscion of the seat, he concludes the phone call with an hint of gratefulness to the stranger at the other side of it. it would be improper to bark an order at the poor bartender as he has seen many unkind people do.
his head is low, busy ending the call and skimming for the messages he has missed, when he orders ' a bushwhacker, if you please, ' with a quiet voice. when a glass is placed in front of him, ready to receive the content of the cocktail, he's already imagining the taste- it has been a while since his last one...
-and then he notices the nervousness permeating the fingers, the stiffness. this is when pale diamond lifts with concern, lips parted to ask ' is everything alri- '
and it meets another diamond, just the same as his. the young bartender, an halovian, is almost a perfect mirror of him.
he doesn't exhale, nor breathes. all the air has been punched out of his chest, recognition making his eyes widen and his expression melt off his face.
Kaeya Alberich is in front of him.
and, suddendly, there's no more human mask of manners and social normalities, no longer the need for a drink, or asking for permission to encroach personal space.
there's just the need to observe, to study the phenomenon that fate put in front of him.
he's no longer in front of the young halovian, but a flat ' interesting. ' comes from approximately behind them. the impostor's face craned near Kaeya, eyelashes pratically brushing together.
' you are Kaeya Alberich, ' he murmurs, singular eye piercing right through the other, seemingly uncaring that his manners are... lacking, to say the least. ' Kaeya Alberich, yes... ' he repeats.
the impostor cocks his head to the side, lost in thought.
' but, if you are Kaeya Alberich... then, who am I? are you a disruption, or an anomaly? or am I? '
