Great artist Miku, can I know what brushes do you use for sketches, lineart and rendering?

Can I also know your art process? Very curious about it 🤔

it is i, great artist miku, descending from heaven once more

i used paint tool sai (sometimes i use sai2 but i mostly use the old one) and my best friend is the brush for sketching and lineart

i sometimes change the brush settings to simple circle or spread as u can see, i usually lineart w simple circle

and you'd think with how many brushes i have, i would use a lot for rendering hahahahahahahahahahaha airbrush and watercolor brush is my best friend for shading cuz im stupid

i usually sketch by drawing a blob of silhouette cuz i saw this trick and its pretty good to give u a gist of what the hell you're drawing

idk when ill ever finish that last one dies

anws i lineart w simple circle brush (or if im lazy, i go w spread brush and not even bother w lineart) and then i slap some random bright ass color

and then you you yeah

idk how to explain the shading process, uhhh, i airbrush the shit out of everything and add many blushes (and lots of multiply mode) i had like two layers to do hair, one for the darker shading while one is for the lighter shading

does this makes sense yet-

and then i use my friend watercolor to bullcrap my way for the clothes while airbrushing some bits and parts of there and here

gomenasorry, i dont know how to explain my shading process sobs,,,

and for the final touches; i use gradient mapping on clip studio paint kyaa!!!!!!

abuse the crap out of gradient mapping and lower that opacity

then you slap my favorite iconic noise filter, set it to overlay and lower the opacity to 10%-20%

oh yea, recommended thing by me;

do this to the faces and set it to overlay and lower opacity to 20% for that wowzers effect

and then you put idk lots of filters so your art pops off

oh yeah i forgot to mention, color the lineart

and now w0w look at this difference, its night and day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pella! I'm glad Professional Fuckers lives rent free in your head because I definitely forgot it existed. In spite of this, I am somehow still confident I'll actually finish and post it one day. It's just so easy and refreshing to write a setting purely from experience. Still needs several more scenes but I know the whole shape of it.

I think there's a lot of really fun potential to be mined from indie porn in a rom-com sort of story: you have this professional physical intimacy that can mean absolutely nothing, an intimacy that is itself altered and shaped by the demands of performing for a camera, by the visual and literal language of any given shoot genre; but separately to that, there's this variable of the chemistry you have with them, as colleagues, as co-performers, and of course, though somehow least significantly, as people fucking. The chemistry that plays out on screen does not always track onto the chemistry you feel with someone. So there's this, I think, super funny territory you can get into, where you've just fucked someone, and the prescient question of did we make something good and the vain little one of was I good, did you like that are entirely separate. But imagine the urge to ask when you're doing something you've never done before.

Imagine, too, nursing a crush on somebody and still not being sure if they like you like you in spite of fucking them in shoots all afternoon and pretending to be in a relationship for half of those. Imagine doing all this demanding, intimate work with a near-stranger, and then making friendly small talk after because outside of this work you hardly know each other. Imagine feeling like there's something there, beneath all the performance, and the commingled horror of crossing professional boundaries--of finding out your co-performer is just so good that they sold the story you were telling together to you too, without meaning any of it--and the desire to find out how good it could be with the cameras off. No awkward blocking, no performing, no story, nothing: an entirely novel, unprofessional, and maybe even more intimidating kind of fucking altogether.

That's what this setting is all about. In the spirit of that, have a mildly NSFT scene ft. Dream sucking cock for the first time while on a shoot, and Hob making a suggestion after.

“Dream,” says Hob. “Dream, please, I’m gonna cum, oh, fuck.”

He looks up at Hob, jaw afire, and Hob swears and twitches and comes in his mouth. Dream swallows it without thinking of making a show of it, just swallows and swallows and pulls off, panting. He doesn’t realize how swollen his lips are until Hob traces them with a warm thumb, and murmurs, wow, so low it’s surely not for the cameras, more a breath than a word.

“Was I good?” he asks. His voice is fucked out and low and Hob laughs breathlessly as he tucks himself in.

“Yeah. Yeah, shit, you were good, baby. So good for me.” He looks down at Dream with undisguised lust. “M’gonna want this all the time now.”

Dream doesn’t know what to say, so he just stares up at Hob, until Hob smiles and shifts to sit up. “Great,” he says, in a normal tone, the scene sloughing off him. “Happy with that?”

“Was it enough time?” Dream asks.

“Oh, yeah. We’re probably at thirteen, fourteen minutes. I know you only wanted ten but I didn’t want to tread on perfectly good footage and say something.”

Dream can’t conceal his surprise that it’s been so long already. Hob takes it as skepticism and laughs. “No, you can check, but I’m like a fucking egg timer. It’s my party trick on shoots.” He stands and goes over to his camera, squinting at the display. “Yes! Thirteen twenty-nine,” he announces triumphantly, and turns it off. “Right,” he says, all business when he turns back to Dream. “Water and onto the next?”

Dream, still kneeling, awkwardly stands. “Yes,” he says, and clears his throat when it comes out rough. “Yeah, sure.”

Was I good? Truly? Hob is so good at inhabiting someone else that Dream isn’t sure. He would cover it up well if it was bad. “That’ll sell well,” he says, as neutrally as he can.

Hob takes the bait and grins at him. “Oh, definitely. That was perfect. You were great.” Then he takes in Dream and frowns. “Hey, do you want to, ah?”

Dream realizes he’s still painfully hard. Hob is grimacing down at his tented jeans. The moment of satisfaction is popped like a soap bubble. He adjusts himself, feeling his face heat. “Sorry,” he mutters.

“Oh, fuck, don’t be sorry. Always good to know I’m not repulsive. I meant, do you want to deal with it now since you didn’t come?”

Dream glances toward the guest bedroom, unable to believe Hob is actually propositioning him. Unable to believe the yes that offers itself at once. Hob continues. “My facial shoot, later? Could just switch things around and get it done now if you’re ready to go.”

“Of course,” says Dream, magnanimously. Of course that’s what Hob meant.

would like to know the lore of my own oc that i have had for like ten years

edit: found an old sketch of her... i basically drew her for the first time eons ago and haven't changed her design ever since (sad that i won't be able to find those drawing again)

#she is lots of things but she is also randomly dw master's sister. have been thinking about the idea of her being their daughter ever since #missy dropped that the doctor gave it to me when my daughter line #i was like twelve when i made her up okay!!! i basically stole clara's echos concept for myself but made it cooler. she is basically a #gallifreyan girl trapped inside of doctor's tardis and she exists there like a ghost spooking his companions without any memory of her #previous life. and she also has like a ton of echos bc when tardis appears in the parallel universes she creates it to keep the link with #said universe through the echo. whenever the doctor reappears there the link is no longer needed and said echo dies. and so. i basically #recreate her in every fandom i have ever been since then having some explanation in my head for me just basically using same character over #and over again AHAHAHAH #her original gallifreyan version died in the tardis bc she listened to the doctor's yappinh about travelling to other worlds too much #and like. when she tried to steal her tardis defense mechanism was meant to trap her (i remember listening to some first doctor audiodrama #where the same concept was descibed). that led to that tardis being decommissioned #but she still trapped her??? dying spirit??? in the eye of harmony which allows her to exist in some form #the only reason she is related to the master is bc they are my favourite dw character and i like to think that the fact that the doctor #was partially responsible for her death hit the last nail in the coffin of whatever they had HAHAHA #i remember when big finish did an audio drama with the master brainwashing a random girl to think that she was his daughter and i was like #NO HECKING WAY THEY DROPPED MY OC'S LORE??? HAHA THE LOSER STILL MISSES HER #i need to do something with her again. i guess #my post #yes that star trek oc is ger echo as well #too lazy to fix tags forgot to write down the part that yes tardis defense mechanism killed her #i dont know how to explain her being related to the master bc i also remember myself being a loom truther. but the doctor also had #susan? idk guys i haven't been in the dw sauce in a minute #i like to think that she HATES hates doctor's guts bc she has this subconscious envy that they are able to leave the tardis and explore #other worlds but she isn't bc she is trapped in there. girl if you only knew that you also exist as a plethora of other people in different #worlds. also her gallifreyan name was MILLENIA haha subtle foreshadowing #she also hates most of doctor's companions for the same reason. i bet that short period of time when missy was in twelfth tardis was #rather funny bc both of them didn't recognise each other #she holds like. 50% of responsibility for tardis malfunctions

rereading the worst scene I have ever written in my entire life and why did harrison have to drag lonan so hard here:

#this is a simile that in my poetry workshop we might say isn't quite symmetrical enough #BUT IS IT FUNNY YEAH #not that I care to critique the line because literally not the point of this book but since we're here and I mentioned the symmetrical thin #LET'S TALK ABOUT IT BC IT'S ONE OF THE ONLY THINGS I LIKED #ABOUT MY POETRY WORKSHOPS (this is a joke if my prof ever sees this)#anyway so basically entails having a simile where the comparison doesn't feel quite accurate to what it's describing #that can entail accuracy in tone size etc #like for example here it's hard to grasp how a voice can BE like crashing into a wall #bc the senses here aren't quite symmetrical (hearing the sound of a voice VS feeling or seeing something crash)#ANYWAY not saying I don't think it works it's just a neat thing I learned that I actually do like and think you can use #intentionally too....... but I'd never thought of the symmetricality (? lmao) of similes before #& I think it's made them stronger #a revision could be adding a verb that makes the simile more congruent btw #like “HEARING lonan's voice is like crashing into a wall” etc bc the verb hearing is symmetrical with the “image” (in this case sound)#that a crash makes..... anyway this has helped me when i'm like why tf does this simile not work #ANYWAY RANDOM CRAFT CHAT IN THE TAGS AS WE LAUGH AT LONAN HAHAHA YOUR BOYFRIEND HATES U etc

#rambling a lot more in the tags #i mean i have been meaning to make a spreadsheet and it is helpful...and i'm almost done with it #so i can probably get some writing done tomorrow and Friday #plus i have been giving lots of pets to the animals and i filled in for my sis at her work with her friend so i've done more than that #some fun stats: there are almost 500 PnF fics on ao3 with blanket permission for podfic and 41 MML fics #of those I have chosen over 200 pnf fics to pod myself and about 10 mml fics (unless someone else does them)#i think I'll reach the end of fics i want to pod with blanket permission in dwampyverse fandom at some point next year #then i could either just hop fandoms with podfic or start actually asking for permission or just chill i guess...#most of the authors with blanket permission in pnf seem to have moved on from the fandom but still that's a decent amount of fics #even me making 200 podfics would make the fandom one of the more podfic saturated fandoms...so i hope more podficcers come #i have enjoyed making podfics as a fairly solo podficcer in a fandom as a beginner but recently i am starting to feel a bit lonely...#couple weeks ago i was writing in my doc that i was feeling a bit tired of pnf podfics and wanted to branch out but then the revival came #and thankfully my inspiration for pnf returned in full force!! so i am still excited to make podfics (clearly...by the spreadsheet hahaha)#but a part of me is glad that i will probably eventually run out of blanket permission fics to do...you know??#i know i could stop at any time technically...no one's forcing me to do these...but i'm a finisher and i really do like making them #i like seeing how the podfics have slowly been getting kudos and attention...see how people get to choose and have options #funny how this time last year i never could have imagined making so many...and now look at where i'm at #i guess i'm just trying to say...it's not that i'm tired of pnf...but i'm starting to feel more confident to dip my toes in other fandoms #guess i accomplished what i wanted when i started on this journey...to get used to the sound of my voice and stop disliking it #and that's nice to think about #......well i guess I just wrote a bunch of words LOL so I did DO SOME WRITING MWAHAHAHAHA

I'm so sorry chima fans but I was a 9 year old child when ninjago season 2 ended and at that point season 3 wasn't confirmed so we all kind of assumed it was THE end, and immediately after the finale cartoon network showed a trailer for chima so to me it just felt like a slap in the face cheap replacement for my favorite show that presumably just ended for good. I HATED IT. I have never felt that much rage in my LIFE, but I still wanted to check it out when it came out because it was lego and you never know, I might fall in love with it. WRONG. STILL HATED IT AND STILL ENRAGED

Anyway I guess chima fans get the last laugh because I'm genuinely considering watching the show just to further my ninjago lore knowledge umm..
