🍐  Jack first met you at the orientation ceremony. He sort of already felt comfortable around you because of your canine traits and the way you carried yourself with such seriousness and determination. The white-haired boy also thought you smelled kind of nice; like the ocean and water-logged wood, but there was also a bit of sweetness in there that he couldn't quite identify. As orientation ended and all the Savanaclaw students made their way to the mirror chamber, Jack's curious eyes stayed glued to your cloaked form.

🍐 Coincidentally, you and Jack ended up sharing a dorm room, how nice for him. He was a bit shocked when you told him right off the bat that if he needed help or just someone to talk to you would readily lend an ear. The fact that he was bunked with such a supportive person was incredibly relieving for the wolf-eared boy. While it would take him a little while to open up to you more, considering you just met, Jack would be sure to act on your offer in the future.

🍐  Jack loves exercising with you! After learning about your previous status as a general before your enrollment in the NRC, he requested to know your exercise routine during that time, to which you happily agreed. You both have a habit of waking up at the crack of dawn and going for a run which made you decide to ask him to accompany you instead of heading out separately. Your skills with a bow and arrow also caught Jack's attention, often watching you practice and occasionally catching glimpses of a certain weird Pomefiore third-year hiding in the bushes.

🍐 During one particularly hot day, you and Jack ended up staying in your shared dorm room after class instead of going outside or to the dorm's indoor gym to exercise; far too hot to will yourselves to move. This is when the wolf beast-man learned of your shared habit of your extra appendages giving away your emotions, your orange-brown, and white ears drooping with exhaustion from the heat. When Jack suggested going to the dorm kitchen and making smoothies, he had to hold back a chuckle at how your ears perked up and how your tail began to sway. Although, when you saw where his gaze was directed you grew embarrassed and covered your butt with a pillow.

🍐 Speaking of sweet things, Jack discovered that his dorm mate had a fondness for sweets, he remembered you mentioning that you didn't get them very often while you were a general. He actually whipped up some pear jam on toast for you once to see what you thought about the taste and was happy that he found a fellow pear enjoyer in you. You did tell him that your favorite fruit was something called lavender melon, a tree fruit that was native to the cluster of islands that you grew up on. The fruit was on his mind for a while after that, Jack may or may not have made plans to eat it with you in the future.

My name is Sprout (they/them)!

I'm 22 years old, and I'm physically disabled, which may cause me to post less than I want due to flareups. I'm also wasian- I'm unsure if this will be entirely relevant here, but I'm mentioning it regardless in case discussions come up about the POC community (especially asian) when it comes to paraphiles, and the differing experiences.

And of course, I've suspected being a zoophile since I was a young child.

I've struggled with thoughts, urges, and attractions for a long time, bringing in self-harmful or otherwise self-destructive behavior. I've been riddled with guilt for simply existing and having a disorder I had no control over, one that made me absolutely miserable (and still does to an extent).

Looking for community was impossible. It felt like there were two sides- people who wanted those like me dead, and people who genuinely wanted to act on their thoughts. Both were insufferable, but I ended up choosing the side that hated zoophiles out of disgust and fear.

I also wasn't certain at the time whether what I was experienced was zOCD, or an actual zoophilic disorder. This year, 2024, is when I finally came to the understanding I do not have zOCD, it became impossible to ignore anymore. I felt so ashamed and embarrassed, with nowhere to go.

I wonder if the reason the pro-beastiality side of the community got so large is because people kept running out of options and eventually gave up looking for a better one.

So I want to try and help mend that, and try to start proper support groups for those like me, who just want a shoulder to lean on, someone to talk to, and comfort.

Pear: So there's this habit in official, licensed Disney approved products of making the ghosts helpless background characters in what should be their story. I'm more forgiving of this in the video game because A: Nostalgia, II) Zeke is at least a character from the ride, and Tres- Madame Leota is with you the whole time and a lot of the ghosts are helpful. The book The Haunted Mansion: Storm and Shade is the worst offender of this, where the ghosts decide to literally not do anything except dance in the ballroom when they're threatened by a supernatural force they don't think they can fight. I get the use of a mortal protagonist as a stand-in for the reader, or thinking a modern audience wants a modern character to connect to, but at least let these characters be characters, instead of transparent furniture.

So because of this, I like giving the ghosts some fun antagonists from time to time. Usually, it's the One Eyed Black Cat from the old scripts and concept art. I may also fling some of my own creations at them, like Skaggz the grim reaper, who is friend or foe, depending on the day. Or the malicious, wraith-like Undertakers, a band of inky shadow men who work for a yet unnamed boss who feeds on spirits' anguish and rage. The nastiest of the villains is Dr. Dearnons, the head physician at the Acropolis Asylum, where Beau was forced to undergo treatment as a teen. Along with him are undead nurses and orderlies who, in life, had gone along with his abuse and reveled in it. His evil has taken him past mere ghost, and he's more of a demon in shape.

I just can't see how a crew of nearly a thousand, which includes witches, psychics, shape shifters, gun nuts, hatchet wielding serial killers, and a massive home that warps reality, would give up so easily, or be so helpless.

Peach: connection between your favorite character and another work

When working with the idea that this takes place in the theme parks, I love giving the ghosts friends from Disney attractions. I headcanon that Beau has a great friendship with Ariel in particular, and is a trusted confidant to Cinderella. Dorian and Rapunzel hang out on a regular basis. Figment is also a close buddy to the ghosts. There's a friendly rivalry with the pirates that's like an immature turf war. And everyone stays away from the small world dolls. Their sun god may or may not eat souls.

I've wanted to write crossovers with The Princess and the Frog and Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I just never seen to get beyond the initial idea. A mutual had once suggested young Tiana and Charlotte coming across the house one Halloween, and that's such an adorable idea, and I never get beyond a paragraph with it. With the Atlantis idea, it was just this thought that Dorian contacted Milo about information on Atlantis. This would be days before he's found by Helga and Whitmore. Dorian, who is growing older and fearful of aging, is almost frantic about pursuing the Heart as a way to achieve immortality. The house and the meeting freaks Milo out, and he very wisely skeedaddles.

I've rarely shown Dorian's work as an attorney when he was alive, but I've always had this joke in the back of my mind that his legal clerk is Bartleby the Scrivener from the same named short story by Herman Melville. Dorian losing his mind over an employee constantly replying, "I would prefer not to," at every request is just really funny to me. Bartleby is a mood.

Oh, and an Incredible Hulk crossover. Have wanted to do that for years.

Pineapple: AUs you like and/or have beef with

I've dabbled with high school and college AUs, and just modern, living AUs in general. Teen/ young adult versions of these characters can be really fun to write. It's just rare that it gets beyond the basic concept. I've found they become character studies rather than a plot heavy story. It's really dependent on my writing partner, and how much fun we have bouncing back and forth with the interactions.

I'm pretty much open to playing with any AU idea, but I can't promise I'm good at it.

Berries: favorite underrated thing in your fandom

I love how open people are about sharing their character interpretations. People tend to just have fun with it, even going so far as to rp the same characters together in a thread, but just state they're from an alternate dimension, which makes total sense in a house where any door can lead to anywhere in the universe. There have been multiple instances I've read or been a part of where a ghost met their "twin."

I just don’t have time to do anything at all, which sucks. I try to draw some pannels here, detail some lineart there, cause I want it to look the best I can make it look, but I just have no time :( I tried to finish and post some requests from 83949593 months ago too but ugh, the wips are just increasing and they prolly won’t move until next week, I’m just so stressed 💀

So getting this ask made my day 935959384839 times better I swear, I’m so thankful for your patience (and everyone’s) and that y’all are still waiting to see Wild lose like a champion (hehe💀). Hope one of these weeks I can finally post chapter 3 cause I’m really excited for it!!!

Eddie Munson has never been good with authority figures. Didn’t listen when his teachers told him to sit still, lit up for the first time after Nancy Raegan told the country to just say no, got his first ticket for j-walking in front of a cop (and then flipping him the bird, but, semantics), so that’s all to say, Eddie does not do well with following directions. Especially when those directions do not align with what he wants to do.

It, apparently, might be what sends Steve Harrington into an early grave.

“Hey!” Steve’s voice is sharp, and Eddie retracts his arm like he’s been burned, his smile already growing sheepish.

It Did Not Matter

Loki was loitering.

Not in the grand, villainous way. Not even in the dramatic, cloak-swishing way. He stood beneath the overhang of an old brick building on a crooked street, arms crossed, hood up, watching the human across the road place a tiny flower crown on the head of a duck.

The duck, to her credit, seemed entirely nonplussed.

"This is Persephone," the human had told him last week, as if Loki were the strange one for inquiring.

He hadn’t inquired. He had gaped, which was different.

Persephone was plump and white and waddled with the confidence of an Asgardian queen. And now she had buttercups nestled in her feathers and the human—Elliot—was beaming down at her like she'd just solved time travel.

Loki told himself he wasn’t smiling.

He told himself many things lately.

Like how it did not matter that Elliot’s bookstore always smelled like cinnamon and ink and something soft, like nostalgia.

It did not matter that Elliot invited him in when the rain started, with the sort of casual kindness Loki never quite trusted but couldn’t help standing in.

“Come in,” Elliot had said, brushing raindrops off Persephone’s head. “You’ll catch a cold.”

Loki nearly replied ‘I’m immune to mortal ailments’, but Elliot had already opened the door, already left a towel out, already gone behind the counter to make tea without asking how Loki took it. (He took it black, bitter, but drank the honey-sweet cup Elliot gave him because it was warm, and Elliot looked pleased to give it.)

It didn’t matter that the first time Loki lied—a small one, hardly worth noting, about how long he’d been in town—Elliot looked at him with those maddeningly knowing eyes and said, “That was a lie.”

“How dare you,” Loki had whispered.

“You're eyes shift a little, like this.” Elliot shifted his eyes comically, and Loki had nearly hexed the ceiling tiles in frustration.

(It had not mattered that Loki found himself testing that claim with smaller and smaller lies, just to see if Elliot caught them. He always did.)

It didn’t matter that Elliot had handed him a small bouquet once—odd wildflowers, unruly and bright—and said, “They reminded me of you.”

Loki had frozen, unsure if he’d been insulted or worshipped.

He hadn’t spoken for an hour.

Elliot, with a look of concern bordering on horror, had disappeared and returned with a loaf of homemade cinnamon raisin bread the next day and stammered, “I’m sorry if I said something wrong. I just thought they were beautiful, and kind of sharp, and I thought of you.”

And Loki, ancient god of chaos and stories, had taken the loaf and nodded.

Like a mortal.

It absolutely did not matter that Loki now found himself feeding foxes on the weekend, because Elliot had invited him along and handed him a little pouch of dried chicken pieces like it was the most normal thing in the world.

It did not matter that the foxes came close, that they let Elliot touch their ears, that one of them licked Loki’s palm.

And when Elliot grinned and said, “They trust you,” Loki had laughed awkwardly and said, “I’m not sure they should.”

“You’re not as scary as you think,” Elliot replied.

Loki could not speak for a minute. Again.

It did not matter.

None of it mattered.

Except that one day, Loki caught himself tracing runes into the condensation on Elliot’s tea mug, not to curse or charm it—but to keep it warm longer. Quietly. Without comment.

And later that night, Loki turned up at the Avengers’ compound, thunder crashing behind him, cloak damp, and looked Thor dead in the eye.

“I have a problem.”

Thor, halfway through a turkey leg, blinked. “Have you—conquered something again?”

“No. Worse.”

“A villain?”

“No.”

“Someone insulted your hair again?”

Loki closed his eyes. “There’s a mortal.”

Thor looked delighted. “A mortal? A friend?”

Loki made a strangled sound. “He owns a bookstore and has a duck named Persephone and he knows when I’m lying, Thor. He sees through me like glass. He fed me bread and told me I reminded him of flowers. I didn’t smite him. I didn’t leave. I—” Loki broke off. “It does not matter.”

Thor, slowly, carefully, put down his turkey leg. “Brother,” he said, serious now. “It matters.”

Loki stared at the floor.

The truth was: Elliot mattered. In a quiet, irreparable way.

Loki had once thought affection was for fools.

Now he found himself bringing Persephone enchanted seed that bloomed into violets, just to see Elliot laugh.

He found himself weaving warmth into the cracks of the bookstore walls at night.

He found himself writing poems—terrible ones, furious ones, aching ones—and stuffing them into books Elliot might someday open.

He found himself not lying, more and more.

It didn’t matter.

(It mattered more than anything had in centuries.)

🍓 What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated? I don’t have a problem posting this one here, but I think my first story, which is a Joel&Ellie story, with a little Joel/OFC thrown in as a flashback. It’s the first story I posted in over 20 years, first story in the TLOU fandom I wrote. I was watching TLOU alongside Daisy Jones and the Six so I think my brain rots crossed paths! It got some nice feedback. But I always thought it deserved more attention - it’s special because it was my first 🩷

🍐 Is there anything in canon that you absolutely hate and love to fix in fics? A wrong choice made, a fuck-up in characterization, a misunderstanding never cleared up, a conversation never shown onscreen, etc… whoever requested this one knows me well. I have written one Part 2 canon story, because there was a song that I thought went perfectly with how Ellie must have been feeling after losing Joel.

That being said - my motto is “Part 2? Don’t know her 😒”. I don’t care for it, I haven’t finished the walkthrough except for the flashbacks. I don’t like the stories, I don’t like the new characters or how familiar characters were altered for the second part - come at me if you like, I stand by what I say. Trust and believe, I understand what the game makers wanted you to get out of the game, and I’ve heard the “if you don’t like the outcome you don’t understand the story” argument - I don’t like the story period. It’s awful.

So yeah, every time I write a post-s1/game one, Jackson based story, it will be canon divergent. The old man lives. He’s practically immortal 😏
