Fox River - Riots, Drills and the Devil Part 1

  Jessica is running late.

She is due at the prison to do her inspection.

She has been ignoring all of Jason's calls.

Just as she makes her way to the door to leave there is a knock.

She opens it and Jason is on the other side with to-go coffee cups.

"Good I was hoping you would be home." he says pushing his way past her to get through.

"Now is not a good time." Jessica states standing by her door.

"We have to talk about this." he says to her.

She rolls her eyes.

"I have a meeting today. I don't have time for this." she states raising her voice at him.

"You're going to make time Jessica. We have been playing ring a round for a couple weeks now. I deserve to know what's going on." he says getting angry.

Jessica sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose with her fingers.

"You're right. You deserve to know what's going on. But I can't explain things right now. I have to go." she says turning and waiting for him to follow her.

"OK. But we are talking about things. Tonight." he says giving her a kiss on the cheek and walks away.

     Jessica drives into the parking lot of the prison.

She has a strange feeling that something bad is going to happen today.

She ignores her gut and makes her way inside.

She walks through the hall and gets to the check-in desk.

"Hi. I'm Jessica Donovan. I have a security check today. I'm supposed to be meeting with Officer Bellick." she explains to the man.

"Hold on just one minute ma'am." he turns away and gets on the radio.

"I'm sorry Bellick is up in sickbay. Here's a pass. You have clearance at every security entrance. Good luck." the man says giving her the keys.

She makes her way through the halls going straight up to Trish's office.

She doesn't even bother knocking she just walks right in.

Trish looks up from her desk in surprise.

"Jess? What's going on?" she questions seeing the angry look on her face.

Jessica just closes the door behind her.

"I want to know how you know Paul Kellerman." Jessica asks glaring at her sister.

That question catches Trish by surprise.

"Paul? You want to know how I know Paul?" she asks trying to stall.

"Yes, Trisha. I've seen him at your office. The man threatened me." she explains angrily.

"Not only that he sent in a request at the station to have me suspended! You are the only one I've seen have contact. I want to know how you know him." she demands standing in front of Trish's desk.

"Fine. I will tell you about Paul." she tells her.

Now, I remember that there was a live-action Rocky and Bullwinkle film (where Rocky and Bulwinkle were the only animated characters, a la Roger Rabbit) and a Boris and Natasha film with no moose or squirrel starring Jason Alexander and Sally Kellerman. I did not see either but I know there were two and I'm pretty sure Alexander was in the mooseless one.

Boris & Natasha

Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale are a pair of ruthless (often witless) spies working for the nefarious government of the sovereign nation of Pottsylvania.  Boris was raised by wolves in the Pottsylvanian forest and was a petty crook before he was recruited by secret intelligence.  Whereas Natasha was trained from birth by a group of scientists seeking to create the perfect secret agent.  

The pair were partnered and sent to America to endeavor on numerous schemes that aimed to disrupt western democracy.  These schemes were time and again thwarted by the actions of Bullwinkle the Moose and Rocky the Flying Squirrel.  Indeed, the constant meddling by Rocky and Bullwinkle became so great that Boris and Natasha were assigned the secondary objection of: ‘kill moose and squirrel.’  Fortunately, Rocky and Bullwinkle’s luck and guile coupled with Boris and Natasha’s bumbling incompetence has kept the two heroes one step ahead of these treacherous spies.  

Actor Paul Frees provided the voice for Boris, while actress June Foray voiced Natasha.  The pair first appeared in the premier episode of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, airing on November 19th, 1959.

OH HI HELLO OKAY UHHH

so. stranger things dirty dancing au: ronance edition, here we go.

in terms of characters i've got: steve as johnny, eddie as billy (who is johnny's cousin in the film, but is just steves friend/friend-he's-in-love-with in this au), robin as penny, nancy as baby/francis + then jason as either robbie or that annoying dude (kellermans nephew, cant remember his name bc i dont like him lmao) aand finally higgens as the main boss dude

(this is probably how the characters would work in the steddie version as well except technically eddie would be in baby's character slot but also the way it works in my head is different but this isn't that post so *waves it away*)

in terms of plot: it would still follow the same general storyline of johnny and baby in the film, (they meet, johnny needs a partner bc penny's gonna be out of commission, they practice, they fall in love, johnny's accused of theft, "nobody puts baby in the corner", they presumably live happily ever after) but with some adjustments!!

i'm cutting out most of the conflict with baby and her dad + lisa and robbie just bc it wouldn't fit in anywhere naturally yknow?

okay this is going to get a bit long so it's going under a cut <3

so the Wheelers go to some fancy resort-type thing for the summer and Nancy and Mike are both kinda moody about not getting to spend summer with their friends/doing what they want but Mrs Wheeler is like. trying to fix her family yknow so they're there.

Nancy sees Steve and Robin perform on that first night, after being forced to dance with some dunce and when she finally manages to escape she decides to go snooping, bc she's a Journalist (very much a "this sign can't stop me bc i can't read" type situation), and she ends up stumbling across Eddie who is attempting to haul like three entire watermelons on his own so she gives him a hand (he makes the lamest attempt ever at telling her she's not allowed there, and she ignores him and he's like 'aight') so she follows him to the staff house where they're having their lil party and then Robin and Steve come in again and dance some more but it's totally different to how they were dancing down at the main house and Eddie's like "That's Steve Harrington, he's one of my best friends- he actually got me the job here." and then he's like "And that's Robin Buckley, she's my other best friend and she got Steve his job here." and Nancy's trying to be totally normal about how Robin is moving bc sheesh is that a lot of hip work ("You'd think they were together!" "They're not?" "Nah, they're platonic with a capital P, if you can believe it.")

anyway so Robin is the one who comes over and hip checks Eddie and asks what Nancy's doing here and Eddie's all "she's here with me" and Nancy doesn't quite get why that makes Robin laugh but she's also sort of distracted by how pretty Robin is when she laughs and then suddenly Robin is dragging her on the dance floor to teach her how to dance like the staff kids and it's all sorts of accidentally flirtatious and boom Nancy's got a crush now

and then a few nights later she's being uncomfortably flirted with by whoever-i-decide-that-guy-will-be and he whisks her off to the kitchens where she see's robin curled up in a corner crying but trying to be quiet about it bc holy shit that guy is her boss and Nancy gets him out of there and then she finds Eddie and tells him and then Eddie tells Steve and then Steve immediately starts heading to the kitchen and it turns out Robin was having a meltdown due to sensory overload and Robin's kind of mad they told Nancy bc she's worried Nancy's gonna go tell someone from management that she's not fit to dance there but Nancy just wants to make sure she's okay

she comes back to the staff house another night just to check on Robin and finds out that Eddie's band has their first gig of the season lined up at a bar somewhere and at first Nancy doesn't get why Steve seems so upset about it until she finds out that it's booked the same night that Steve and Robin have a show at the other hotel so Steve won't be able to go and Eddie's trying to tell him it's fine but Steve's like "but i've never missed your first show" and Nancy's like "well can someone fill in for you so you can go?" and they give her the whole spiel about how everyone works there so everyones booked in doing other things and then Robin's like "unless you wanna do it" and then Steve's like "I mean..." and Robin elbows him and tells him it was a joke but then Eddie points out that Nancy can sorta dance, she picked it up fairly quickly that first night so now suddenly Nancy is Robins partner for this show that they've got in two weeks.

all the usual practice shenanigans happen, with the "this is my dance space" and the "see this? spaghetti arms" and "don't put your heel down!" until we finally get to the "are you trying to kill me?! is this your idea of fun?!" "oh yeah- we've got the show in two days, you won't show me any of the lifts, im not sure of my turns, im doing all this just to save your ass when all I really wanna do is drop you on it." "well then let's get out of here." and then they go practice in the woods.

(side note: the reason im so hellbent on figuring out a steddie version of this au is bc i just know they would be so perfect for the above scenes, i can imagine eddie saying the thing about dropping steve on his ass so vividly)

they do the show and Robin is really pleased with getting to wear a suit instead of the dress, and Nancy spends half the night trying not to get distracted by the sight of Robin in a suit, and then when they get back they find out Steve got his shit rocked bc some homophobe saw him and Eddie kissing outside the bar (Steve did win tho so he's got that going for him) and Eddie's like. still too mad about Steve getting hurt (not mad at steve, just heated yknow?) to really be useful and Robin doesn't want to leave them so Nancy like. breaks into the main office bc that's the only place she knows there's a fully stocked first aid kit and she does her best to fix Steve up

later she goes to Robin's room to like. apologise for fucking up some parts of the dance and also for not really being able to help Steve 'enough' and then that's how they have the whole "You're not scared of anything-" "Me? I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of what I saw, what I did, who I am. And most of all, I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life...the way I feel when I'm with you." interaction where they wind up dancing in a scene that is probably more sexually charged than any sex scene could hope to be and then they DO sleep together and then they're all couple-y and shit

and then blah-blah-blah maybe someone see's Steve's face or whatever and makes a tasteless comment and Robin rocks their shit bc no one gets to talk bad about her best friend and then that ends up being what prompts someone to accuse Robin of being the thief and there's the whole thing with Nancy trying to convince everyone it couldn't've been Robin without giving their relationship away until she finally admits they were together all night so there's no way Robin could have stolen anything

and they find the real thieves but they end up firing Robin anyway bc the dance staff aren't supposed to mingle with the guests and Nancy is both outraged and upset but Robin's just touched that she stood up for her and she tells Nancy she'll be okay, she's always landed on her feet and they have a teary goodbye and yeah (i've decided that Robin still can't drive, but Steve quit when Robin was fired bc they're a DUO (but Eddie is gonna stay until the end of the season bc Steve and Robin were both like "dont you dare-") so he drives her sjdfshk)

BUT THEN THE NIGHT OF THE TALENT....NIGHT (for those who haven't actually seen dirty dancing, im so sorry about the lack of context for some of the things im saying sjfhsdk bc im aware that this seems to have come out of fucking nowhere) and Nancy's hidden away in the corner with Mike and their parents while they watch the opening but then! who comes through door? it's Robin! and she grabs Nancy (i dont know yet if i'm gonna use the iconic line or not, bc i am thinking of actually having Nancy known as 'baby' throughout the fic and then they can have the "what's your real name, baby?" "Francis" except this time it's "Nancy." but idk yet) and she gives her little speech about she's sorry for crashing but her and steve always do the last dance and seeing as her and steve are technically fired, she's gonna do it her way.

Eddie's already there changing the music bc he's probably the one who helped her sneak in in the first place and then they do their little routine from the show at the other hotel and then Robin jumps into the crowd and all the staff kids are dancing their way and it's chaos in the best way and Nancy joins her in the crowd and they dance together before slipping away and Nancy's mum stops her and just kind of looks at them and then hugs Nancy and then they escape into the night or whatever.

and then maybe there'd be a time-skip and Robin and Steve are now freelance dance teachers and Nancy comes in to show them the article she wrote, fresh off the printer, that boasts the opening of their brand new dance studio.

Fox River - Cute Poison Part 1

   

   Lincoln is sleeping on his cot.

Then all of a sudden the guards burst into the cell.

"What's going on?" he asks still half asleep.

They don't say anything to him as they drag him from his cell all the way down the hall.

He keeps screaming.

"Where are you taking me? What's going on?" he keeps shouting at the guards.

They drag him into the execution room.

"No!" he shouted struggling.

"I have a month! Please!" he begs as they drag him to the chair.

He looks and catches sight of Jessica standing in the corner with her arms crossed.

"Jess please help me." he begs looking to her for help.

She ignores him and watches with hate in her eyes as they strap him to the chair.

"Jess please I love you." he says with fear in his voice not wanting to die.

Jess walks over and stands in front of him.

"I don't love you. You're getting what you deserve." she says to him in contempt as she backs away and pulls the lever to give him the shock.

He jumps up. He is still lying on his cot.

He sits up and tries to get his heart to stop racing.

It was just a dream. He leans back against the wall and rubs his face.

He doesn't want to die.

At least not without seeing Jess one more time.

         Jessica walks through the prison doors.

She is supposed to be meeting Veronica here.

Veronica said that she was going to talk to Lincoln and that she thinks that Jess should talk to him too.

She doesn't see Veronica's car but decides that she is going to honor the Warden's request and speak to Lincoln.

Just as she makes her way to the private visitor rooms, she gets stopped.

"Miss Donovan. I'm sorry but Burrows is in a meeting with his lawyer he only gets one visit a day." the guard says to her before walking away.

Even though she is relieved she doesn't have to talk to him a part of her is disappointed that she can't see him.

She decides to head up and see Trisha since she has the day off.

She walks up the stairs and makes her way over to the Psych ward.

She makes it to Trish's office and knocks. Trish opens the door and sees Jess standing there.

Trish looks surprised to see her.

"Hey what are you doing here?" she asks Jess stepping out and closing the door behind her.

"I was in the building and figured I would stop by and say hey." Jess says wondering why her sister is acting weird.

"I can't talk right now. I'm in the middle of something but call me later and we'll talk." she says to Jess and goes back into the room and closes the door.

"Sorry about that my sister was at the door." Trish says turning back to her guest.

Paul Kellerman turns in his chair and smiles.

"That's no problem Trish. I know you're a busy woman." he says to her smiling.

       Jess walks back down to the front and sees Veronica signing out.

"Hey V." Jess greets walking up to the sign-out desk.

"Hey what are you doing here?" she asks surprised to see her here.

"Well I was trying to see Trish but she's in a meeting so that can wait." she responds as they make their way to the parking lot.

"So how did the meeting go with Lincoln?" Jessica asks her trying not to sound like she really wanted to know.

Veronica gives her a knowing smile.

"Why don't you just go back in there and ask him how it went?" she asks her teasingly.

Jess gives her a teasing glare.

"You know why." she says walking over to her car.

"Well, he was surprised to see me there. And once I told him that we both believed him he definitely got a lot happier. He asked me how you and Jason were." Veronica says baiting her.

Jess looks at her with a slight glare.

"And what did you say to him?" she asks curiously.

"I told him the truth. That you don't love Jason but won't dump him." Veronica says getting into her car.

"Oh by the way. I have a meeting with Project Justice today. You should go with me." Jess moves closer to the car.

"For what?" she asks her sister.

"To get further access to Lincoln's case. I could really use you." she says wanting her to go with her.

"Yea, I'll go. I do have the day off today." she says going over to the passenger side and getting in.

       "So you are under the impression that both of my sisters are reinvestigating Lincoln's case?" Trish questions not believing him.

"Yes. I am. They had already talked with the man who represented him before and the guy gave Jessica a tape from the garage that night. And Veronica was taking Latoya Barrison's statement." Paul informs Trish of all that has happened.

"And I spoke to her on the phone and she wants this taken care of as soon as possible." he says to Trish and she just looks at him with a glare thinking of what to do.

"You know that they are not going to stop until they uncover the truth. And both of your sisters are that smart enough to where they will uncover every secret that you and I are protecting." Paul says again.

Trish finally looks back up at him from her thoughts.

"Then we have a big problem." she says leaning forward.

"I will talk to my sisters. You don't do anything until I give the go-ahead do you understand me?" Trish asks completely caught off guard about her sisters.

"Maybe but we just found all this out in the last couple of days. I feel that between the two of us, we can find out a whole lot more now that Veronica is dedicating her whole time to the case and I'm going to ask for special privilege to only work cases related to this." Jessica tells him.

   "Even if Latoya showed up her testimony would be useless. Most criminal junkies don't really shine on the stand." Benjamin Foliack says to them as they sit across the desk from him.

"Secret Service Agent came to visit you both. What did he want?" the other guy sitting in the room asks them.

"Nick please." Benjamin sighs to the guy before addressing Jess and Veronica again.

"Ladies, I'm afraid if you can't produce us more evidence even after reviewing Burrow's case thoroughly. Can you give us anything else?" he asks them.

"No. Not right now but-" Veronica gets cut off.

"But is what you're trying to tell us right?" Foliack says to her.

"Yes. We all know what you're trying to point out. We are here to ask for help. I don't think an innocent man should be punished for something he didn't do. And I believe that's what it says on your mission statement." Veronica says to him feeling like they are losing the case.

"We get hundreds of representations." he says to them.

"I know you do." Veronica retorts back.

"We are very limited on who we give our time to." He says trying to get them to understand.

"We will do all the footwork. But since neither of us has experience in the death penalty we're just asking that you point us in the right direction please." Jessica begs them.

Foliak sighs before looking between the both of them.

"I'm sorry ladies. I understand that you are two very smart, very resourceful women but we just don't have the manpower to grant your request."

  Jessica makes her way down the steps and out the door.

Jessica stands up and leaves the room abruptly.

She stops to catch her breath and waits for Veronica to come back out.

She comes back out a minute later.

"Are you OK?" Veronica asks her.

"I'm fine let's just go." Jess says wanting to get back home.

They head for the car and don't notice that someone is following them.

The guy following them dials a number and waits for the phone to pick up.

"They're leaving now. I don't know how much time you have." he says to the other end.

Paul is standing in Jessica's apartment.

      That night Jessica makes it home.

"That's OK I've uncovered plenty." he says holding up a wedding photo of Jessica and Lincoln kissing.

As soon as she makes it through her front door she instantly knows something isn't right.

She slowly makes her way through her apartment but stops short when she sees what is wrong.

The photo of her and Lincoln is not where she last put it.

Confused she moves it back to where it is supposed to be.

She continues to look around but can't find anything else out of place.

A knock on her door makes her jump.

She tries to control her breathing as she walks over to the door.

She opens it and sees Jason on the other side.

"Hey you haven't picked up your phone is everything OK?" he asks seeing that she is a bit jumpy.

"Yeah. I'm fine but now is not a good time." she says not letting him in.

He sighs.

"Jess we have to talk. You have been avoiding me and I want to know why." he says finally putting his foot down.

"OK we will talk tomorrow but right now I'm just tired and I want to go to bed OK." she says letting him down easily.

He nods his head.

"OK tomorrow then." he says before turning around and walking off.

Jason: If you want to learn how to kill Batman, you have to pay me a tremendous amount of money and show up with a willingness to get your ass handed to you every day for the foreseeable future.

Antoine: Eh, a lot of simulations. You know, ‘there are fifteen of you in a two-story warehouse with one skylight and grates EVERYWHERE. Batman has been sighted by a watchtower ten minutes away. what do you do?’ Answer was usually that we got taken out in twenty minutes or less, but...

Jason: Honestly, I didn’t really expect any of you to take him. I wanted you to wear him down.

Antoine: -.- Neat. Anyways, lot of that, and a checklist. I’m not even kidding. Like. Don’t enter a dark room without getting some light in there from an OUTSIDE source. Don’t go anywhere alone if you suspect Batman is in the area. Look up. Don’t walk under gargoyles unless you have no other choice. Batman doesn’t kill, use that against him. That kind of thing. But no Disney.

Jason: Didn’t stop the tech squad from trying to turn this into a musical.

Antoine: I know it’s mean, and I’m a little sorry, but Kellerman was the bastard responsible and I didn’t feel that bad when he got yanked over a ledge. He couldn’t sing. He sounded like a dying cow. But he kept at it and God DAMMIT it was awful.

Jason: If I never hear ‘Convoy’ again, it will be too soon.

Orphan Black Headcanons: Friends and Family

Felix- flaming since preschool babey! Pretended to be straight in high school but literally no one believed him. Not that he wanted it to be believable.

Siobhan- definitely has been with her fair share of women but still identifies as straight for some reason. I like to imagine if she had survived she would have found a pretty older woman to be her second love.

Vic- has given blowjobs for cocaine before but that's about it

Kira- NO CHILDREN

Amelia- has been in one relationship her whole life but it was probably with a man

Cal- his cousin tried to fool around with him once but he was NOT cool with it. Tbh Sarah is probably the first person he's actually ever considered actually committing to.

Benjamin Kertland- is gay and has a husband who even after all these years doesn't question all the shady stuff his husband gets into

Kendall- If bastard can be someone's sexuality, that's hers. But for reals probably swings both ways.

Adele- hetero flexible all the way. And it's not always because of the alcohol

Collin- tried dating a girl in high school but it didn't work out. Suspected he was gay beforehand but that was definitely the thing that made him sure. Because apparently dreaming of Justin Timberlake shirtless and sweaty wasn't enough for him.

Art- straight. Has never even questioned his sexuality in his life. If he ever did he'd probably have an existential crisis that ends in him realizing he's still probably straight.

Paul- has DEFINITELY bottomed for some of his fellow military men. Identifies as straight though.

Angie- is a zedromantic ace but has not figured it out yet. Goes home from hook ups feeling like something is wrong with her. :(

Raj- straight, but has only been with one person in high school, who broke up with him right after taking his virginity.

Donnie- says he's straight but has always felt weirdly uncomfortable in locker rooms changing with other men. For the record though, every time he imagines what it would be like to be with a guy, he's always the top.

Jason Kellerman- has only been with women EXCEPT for one passionate love affair he had with his former male best friend right after high school. He thought he was the one until one day he just ghosted him and eventually wound up marrying a woman. Jason never really dated after that until he reconnected with Alison and became all clingy trying to get back together with her.

Marci Coates- is an absolute Dom but has never gotten the chance to express it being a black woman in a conservative Christian community. Would probably really enjoy being with a woman but will she ever? Can repress any and all sexual thoughts the moment they appear.

Connie Hendrix- gets so much dick in her retirement community in Florida. GET IT, Connie!!!

Delphine- thought she was straight before meeting Cosima. Tbh still identifies as straight but doesn't care about her label near as much as she loves Cosima.

Scott- definitely into women but has never been in a relationship with one. Has never had his feelings reciprocated. :(

Shay- had a boyfriend as a teenager but she cheated on him with a girl. She ended things with him before he ever found out. She's grown out of her infidelity phase and is ready to settle down but dating is hard. :(

Hell Wizard- is ace because I say so. Has a Tumblr where he reblogs literally every piece of asexual art he sees. Wants to write an entire rap album about being ace.

Jesse Towing- has "helped out a bro" before but really only is attracted to women

Brie- definitely bi. Krystal knows but no one else does because she's still coming to terms with her identity. When she's ready she's going to make a coming out video on her channel with Krystal.

Sammy- probably pan. Also began exploring his gender before he got shot. :( Definitely was in love with Tony who liked him back but saw him as more of an occasionally romantic f*ck buddy than a full on lover.
