Not to blab about my ocs, but I love Theo so much, okay. He’s 24 and having a midlife crisis. He finds the news that his father tried to kill him completely unsurprising. He can’t decide whether he does good things out of an actual desire to do good or just to be contrary and spiteful towards the morally perverse people who raised him, and he’s too tired to find out for sure. If he’d been born in the 00’s, he would’ve been that kid whose parents couldn’t convince to wear anything but the same Spider-Man costume for three consecutive Halloweens, and honestly I feel like that explains a lot.
#he’s such a mess and yet somehow less of a mess than he thinks he is. but also still a mess. and I love him#joker and ace#oc: theodore Ace

So.... what are your thoughts on Ace's UM, if you haven't been asked this already?
sneaky magic for the sneakiest boy
no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

To be honest. DCxDP where the reason Danny meets the bats is Ace the Bat-hound
Like, just think about it for a second. Danny is in Gotham for college, or maybe he just moved out to find a city where having mad scientist parents isn’t actually that unusual.
He can see ghosts.
The ghosts know this.
Now he’s getting harassed left and right by spirits trying to get closure. Fine, whatever, most of them are a one-and-done type deal, and the amount of ghosts trying to get his help steadily decreases.
Except for this one very stubborn dog.
It just keeps showing up and leading him to crime scenes! He doesn’t know how many “anonymous tips” he can call in to the cops before they trace his phone! And this dog, this incredibly good boy, will not stop trying to help the city. He’s never met anyone with such a strong sense of justice, let alone a dog. Can dogs even have a moral compass?
And so Danny just accepts the fact that Ace isn’t going anywhere and becomes his reluctant sidekick/dedicated medium. He leans into the whole thing, dressing up in a mix of traditional magic-user attire and accessories that pay homage to the ghost dog.
He becomes somewhat well known. The psychopomp detective following around the shadowy figure of a German Shepard? That’s unusual! That’s weird! I mean, it’s not the weirdest thing in Gotham, sure, but he’s a new vigilante and he’s got a ghost dog that people can only see when it’s around him. Someone’s gonna notice.
Damian, as Robin, is the first to reach out to him.
Ace doesn’t know Damian but he does know a Robin, and while this isn’t his Robin, he’s still friendlier than usual. Danny’s panicking because oh god the bats are here and also is this kid gonna steal my ghost dog, Damian is absolutely delighted by Ace, and Ace is just happy to see a Robin again.
Damian decides that the psychopomp isn’t a danger to anyone, and there’s no reason to put this encounter into his reports, really, and perhaps Danny can help with some of his cases in the future.
Danny is sweating bullets because Damian basically tells him that he’ll keep him secret as long as he gets to play with Ace. Ace is happy that he’s finally getting some bat affiliated crime-fighting assistance.
And so, Danny is now both Ace AND Damian’s reluctant assistant. At least whenever he’s in trouble, he can always call a middle schooler to help him.
(Is Robin even in school? He’s out patrolling damn near every night, and he stays out late as hell. Does he have a bedtime? He should.)
Eventually it gets to the point where Damian is going over to Danny’s house. When he first sees it, he has a damn bitch you live like this moment, to which Danny responds that not everyone has the money to afford a nice place. Damian counters that he could at least take the time to clean up, and Danny replies that he’s working, going to school, and being a vigilante assistant to a ghost dog, something’s got to give.
Danny nearly has a heart attack when he checks his bank account the next day and sees that someone transferred him 10,000 dollars.
And so they get into a routine. Danny and Damian fight crime with Ace at night, and occasionally Damian stops by during the day to play with Ace and have Danny help with his homework.
(Damian is smart enough to do it on his own, but some of the instructions are written incredibly confusingly, and he would never admit to needing help to his family. Danny is just glad that the kid is in school and cares about his education, blissfully unaware that he’s basically emotionally adopted him.)
Damian is used to being in Danny’s company.
Eventually, when going over a case with the family, Damian absentmindedly remarks that he’ll have to ask Danny about some of the clues that they might be missing. Nightwing asks who he means and Damian makes a face like he just swallowed a lemon.
Cue shitstorm.
Who is “Danny?” Why is Damian willing to ask for help from anyone, much less someone outside of the family? Does he know who Damian is? Has Damian been compromised? What the hell is going on?
Damian now has to explain that Danny is the psychopomp with the ghost dog who he might have met hunted down while on patrol and conveniently not mentioned, but he’s not a bad person, really, and he lets him play with Ace, and he’s been quite helpful on certain cases due to his ability to talk to ghosts.
Bruce insists that the family meet Danny. Damian, hoping that he won’t just skip town the second he hears the news, relents.
Danny is surprisingly eager to meet the bats, considering his earlier fears.
Damian, blissfully unaware of what’s coming, sets a time and place to meet.
Once everyone is there, he gives Bruce the earful of a lifetime.
Robin is in middle school! Danny knows that there’s no way to stop the boy from going on patrol, but you could at least shift his schedule so he gets enough sleep on school nights! Does the Bat even know where he is half the time?! (No) And why isn’t he comfortable asking his family for help with both cases and homework? Did they ever even notice how much time he was spending at Danny’s house? If Danny was a bad person, he could have seriously hurt the poor boy! Shame on you!
Nightwing is mortified that Damian didn’t trust him enough to tell him about any of this. Red Hood is laughing his ass off, because yeah Danny is making good points but he’s also chewing out the literal Batman. Tim is recording the whole thing. Steph is delighted by the absolute gall of this Danger Twink™️, and already planning to add him to several groupchats. Damian is more embarrassed than he’s ever been in his entire life.
You, he points to Nightwing, did your academic life feel supported when you were a Robin? Nightwing is too stunned to speak. Red Hood, eternal shit-stirrer, says that oh, we all prioritized patrol over our education, that’s just how it is. Red Robin actually dropped out of high school to avoid distractions, did you know that?
Danny honest-to-god shrieks at this.
He finishes his angry rant and leaves, everyone too stunned to stop him.
And as it turns out, Tim wasn’t the only person recording the whole thing.
The entire internet is blowing up with Psychopomp The Danger Twink™️’s rant. People are taking sides. Things are getting messy. Red Hood literally admitting on-camera to previously being a Robin is somehow not the main focus here.
Eventually someone connects some dots from the video, as well as stories circling the internet about the psychopomp. A ghost dog named Ace, who is the literal only reason that the psychopomp is fighting crime at all, which seems incredibly fond of Nightwing and Robin.
A crime-fighting dog who wants constant attention from both the current and original Robin.
Oh my god, Ace the Bat-hound died and became a crime-fighting ghost.
And, somehow, that’s still not the strangest thing going on in Gotham.
#dcxdp#dc x dp#dp x dc#dpxdc#dp x dc crossover#dc x dp prompt#literally Ace is too good a boy to pass on#this veered wildly into ‘Danny emotionally adopts Damian’ but really it’s what he deserves#sometimes family is an ex child assassin an undead college student and a ghost dog#also Danny gives literally no shits during investigations because he Cannot Die#he will just casually take 40 bullets to the chest like it’s nothing#if he encounters a rogue he will beat the everloving hell out of them and then give them Jazz’s card#(she’s doing confidential therapy for vigilantes and rogues)#except for the ones who are too far gone. like the joker#he’s a bitch and Danny hates him#if given the opportunity Danny would gladly kill him but Clockwork says he’s not allowed to do that#so he settles with beating the hell out of him and then covering all his stuff in glue#and of course alerting the authorities

The End of Legacies
DCxDP
A/n: Random idea that passed through my mind. It's not good in my opinion, but only because I wanted it to be more dramatic but didn't have the motivation to.
Summary: Danny made Bruce keep his no-killing rule until he's done preparing for Joker's ghost. The day he was ready finally came.
Tw: Murder, swears, canonical death and torture, maybe more.
Ghost King Danny; Danny and Bruce think of each other as brothers; Danny also has an adoption habit; Danny is also Hourglass (Clockwork's apprentice)
Bruce loves his kids. And The Joker is the biggest risk to them. The monster was the reason for their fragile bond.
He's tried to kill him before. He's revived him before. He's treated him before.
He hates it. And he hates that he can't tell his children why at the risk of prolonging this horrendous creature that was no longer human.
And he'd known this would happen. He's been told it long ago by a ghost who had made him swear that the Joker will live until he gives the word.
It's been 2 decades since then and Bruce almost wishes that he was selfish enough to risk the multi-verse for the sake of his children's peace of mind and even soul.
Bruce knew that Jason's Pit Rage wouldn't be fully gone until he killed the Joker. That's what Revenants need to live a peaceful undead life.
Bruce knew that Dick and Damian would never trust him unless he broke his rule for the family. Until then, Batman was above them in his list of priorities. He hates that it's somewhat true.
Bruce knew that none of them would ever feel even the slightest bit safe with that fucking thing alive.
But he couldn't end it. Not yet.
And he remembered that day where his rule became an obligation and not a personal mercy.
-
It was a random day. Gray sky, just a bit darker than usual. Batman was out as normal, still at the start of his nightly career, when a light came towards him. He recognized that light.
Phantom.
He went to WE's rooftop and stood there, waiting for Phantom. It wasn't long until the half-ghost joined him.
"Phantom. What are you doing here?"
If it were any other hero, he'd be more assertive, more territorial. But this was Phantom. A 17 year old boy who acted as a diplomat due to his kingly status and was planning on going to college rather than spend his time as a vigilante.
He was a kid and he knew better than to mess with Gotham without insider knowledge and experience.
Phantom gave a smile that came off more as a grimace. It made Batman tense.
"I don't come to you as Phantom, but as Hourglass, the apprentice of the Master of Time. And I must have you swear an oath to follow your rule until the time comes."
"Can you expand on that?"
Pha- Hourglass nodded.
"As of now, an actual joke. As of later, a monster unnamed. The Joker will grow to become so malicious that I as King must make preparations for his arrival to the Realms. Ending him now will not stop the travesties from occurring. Waiting will at least allow for all of Gotham to renew."
Danny pursed his lips.
"I could give you the prophecy and the only warning I am allowed to give if you wish. But know this, Detective. In hearing, you will become Odysseus, Cassandra, and Zeus. Only later will you understand. Do you still wish for me to relay it?"
[ Bruce remembered this moment. He remembered his answer and how much pain it brought upon realization. He wished he refused. He wished he wasn't so prideful to think that he could've prevented it all from happening. ]
"Yes."
Hourglass nodded.
"The first will oversee."
Dick was the first Robin. He was the only one who made it but wasn't unscathed. He regretted allowing Robin to be a curse.
"The second shall fall."
Jason was the second Robin and died because of it.
"The third shall become the first and the who knows will be the next."
Tim was the third Robin. He was the first to survive Joker's torture from the family's victims. Bruce didn't realize that Tim knew he'd be the next Joker until he had an intense relapse where his contingencies for JJ came to light.
"The fourth shall fall."
Steph was the fourth Robin. She had died, but not by The Joker's hands.
"The fifth shall mourn and chase."
Tim was technically also the fifth when he returned. He lost so many people in such a short amount of time before going on a chase after Bruce.
"The honorary sixth will rule until the day gains the sun."
Duke was the honorary sixth along with many others through the We Are Robin movement.
"The seventh bathed in blood."
Damian was the seventh Robin. He's his biological son from an assassin family. He's plagued by his mother's side of his family, chased after and forever fearing the end of normalcy.
"The eighth shall meet the stars that burn and freeze."
Jarro was technically the eighth Robin. He had seen many things out in space and Bruce knows that he didn't share it all when he visits.
Hourglass finished off and Danny looked at him with sadness in his eyes.
"I'm so sorry."
"None of it will be your fault. Let me handle things here. He's my responsibility."
Danny nodded and then smiled softly.
"On another note. When you see the girl, come visit me. You'll know which one later on."
-
Bruce would visit Danny, especially on the days the realization sank in and all was done.
Danny had made a life since then. He remains a last resort for the Justice League, a counselor of the dead side of things, the official King of the Realms, and a father of 3 children: Billy Batson, Ace, and Kon.
Bruce considers him a brother due to their close enough age, ignoring the 8 year gap. So he was also an uncle and a son. He was oh so thankful to be privy to Alfred's immortality due to an apparent adventure that nobody knew about because no time had passed while he was on it.
But he still waited for the day Danny would visit. The day he could introduce him to his children as their uncle. To have a full family dinner. To have the nightmare end.
It yet another random day that Phantom had come to him. He was in his office in the manor, doing some paperwork for WE for Tim due to him having an intense migraine.
It was out of nowhere when the ghost literally tumbled in. He flew through the door but flew back in the room during Bruce's moment of shock.
"I finished! The preparations for the bastard is done!"
Bruce rapidly blinked, trying to process it. He could hardly believe it. This wasn't some sick joke, Danny would never do that to him. He wasn't mind controlled either, his eyes would give it away no matter what method was used.
Bruce couldn't hold back the tears or the loud sobs. Danny detransformed and hugged him tightly, letting Bruce cry his heart out on Danny's chest as he remained in his seat.
Alfred came to check on them and upon seeing Danny, he sheds a few tears.
-
That night, Bruce had gathered everyone. They were shocked to see Raven, Supernova (Kon), Captain Marvel, and Phantom there.
"What threat is there that we need even Captain Marvel and Phantom's assistance, Father?"
"And why isn't this a League meeting? I mean sure, the bats and birds are definitely better than them, but still." Steph questioned.
"I'd also like to know that." Helena and Jason both huffed/scoffed.
Bruce took a breath.
"Tonight, there will be another breakout. However, this one will be different. Tonight, The Joker will die by my hands."
"WHOA!"
"WHAT?!"
"BRUCE?????"
"Holy shit-"
"He's a clone-"
"Imposter!"
The guests only glanced at each other before focusing back on the chaos. Captain Marvel was the one to silence them by stepping forward with a raised hand.
"So, you guys must all be confused. Before we explain, I'll have you all know that Batman is the real Batman. None of us have been influence by anything either. Phantom?"
"Right." Phantom flew over to sit on Batman's shoulder, there was no weight for him to be concerned about Batman complaining to him later. "20 years ago, I came to Batman and told him that the Joker would become so evil that I had to make preparations for his death. And until then, The Joker shouldn't be killed. Otherwise, he'd reek terror upon the multi-verse."
Phantom smiled sympathetically down at Batman.
"I'm sure he hasn't told any of you this to not have you pressure me into hurrying what was already being hurried, in which, would only prolong the time to Joker's End. Please don't blame Bruce and understand that he truly does love you all and suffered knowing that if he killed or irreversibly harmed the rogue early, you would all still suffer the same fates but without any kind of avenging. In addition to that, many people would've not had the opportunity to be redeemed, created, and more."
Silence. The cave was silent at what Phantom had admitted. Jason was ready to just leave, Dick was ready to explode with betrayal, Babs was in shock, Tim and Damian understood fully, Cass also understood but was still hurt, Helena muttered an 'of course he did', and Duke was more than heartbroken.
Phantom eventually sighed and got off of Bruce's shoulder.
"We have 15 minutes until the breakout happens. Batman?"
Plans were made that night.
The night that Phantom, Captain Marvel, Raven, and Supernova had gathered in Gotham to handle Joker's ghost on the mortal Realm. On the other side, Phantasm (Dani), Wraith (Dan), Ace, Zatanna, and Constantine waited for the monster to come and dealt with him accordingly.
The Joker went out with a blast by Batman's hands, just like he wanted.
But he will not know eternity in peace. He will be tortured by the victims he killed and the ones he didn't for all of time until they got bored of him. And on that day, Danny will end him forever.
This is the end of The Joker. He will not rise again.
#danny phantom#dc x dp#dp x dc#the joker isn't human anymore#he's an acclimation of curses and malicious energy#people fear him so much that his ghost will be on par with an Ancient#danny made bruce keep his rule because Joker will be too strong otherwise#bruce loves his kids#ace is a girl joker tortured and bruce had stayed with her until she died#ace is a canonical character search her up#Danny adopts billy ace and kon

Joker and Ace: Jester's Privilege
Chapter 5
During her time at the ball the night before, Joker had taken the time to study each of the Ace brothers carefully. Cecil was undoubtedly the handsomest, the broadest of shoulder, and the tallest, while Nicholas was the most magnetic and charismatic, hardly to be found without at least one eligible (or ineligible) young lady in a five-foot radius. Theodore was neither of those things, but Joker was satisfied to find that he undoubtedly had the best nose--very classical, she decided. And oh my gosh, those freckles. She had observed that he was the only one of his siblings that had them--only a very light dusting, about the cheeks and nose, and you could only really see them when you were standing quite close to him, but it took an otherwise rather angular, rather intimidating face and softened it a bit.
But those thoughts, however interesting they were, weren’t of the first import--not when the man in question was staring at her in a mixture of panic, disbelief, and utter bewilderment, and was kind of leaving her hanging on the whole handshake thing.
“Joker,” he repeated. “Is that a surname?”
“Nope, just my name,” she said, breaking into something just shy of jazz hands trying to get him to notice her still-outstretched hand in front of him.
He didn’t oblige. “Your mother named you that?”
She hung onto her smile like one would a runaway kite. “Come now, sir, that’s hardly a polite question. Call me anything you want except late for dinner, but do decide quickly, because we’re in a little bit of a hurry.”
Theodore hesitantly took her fingers and shook them. “Miss Joker, then,” he said apprehensively. “What kind of hurry are we in?”
She bustled about, scanning all entrances and exits. “What kind do you think? Your dad just tried to murder you--what do you think he’ll do when he sends someone up to check on you and they find you still alive? And cyanide acts quickly, so we don’t have a lot of time. When I save someone’s life, Theodore Ace, I don’t leave the job half-finished.” She turned back to him, a plan half-formed. “Is there anything you want to bring with you before we climb back out that window?”
“Climb back out the window?” he sputtered. “Where are we going?”
“Still working on that part,” she mused. “My time machine seems the best bet, though I miscalculated a bit on the landing, so it’s rather far away…”
The words “time machine” seemed to have snapped something in the poor boy. He suddenly tore his hands through his dark hair and squeezed his eyes shut. She could see the wheels turning in his head. The wrong wheels. “Wait. No. Stop. This is insane. You are insane. I--” He looked around him wildly. “What kind of joke is this?”
“Oh come on, you were so close!” Joker sighed. “Don’t start backepedaling on me now.”
He leveled a finger at her. It shook a little. “Time travel,” he said, almost desperately, “is not real.”
She bit her lip. Things really had gone a little too swimmingly so far, she supposed--expecting him to understand all of this instantly was asking a bit much, even for him. She would have to be patient about this.
She heard voices in the hallway. She stepped closer to him. “Alright,” she said in a hushed voice. “Table the bit about time travel for now. Pretend I didn’t say anything, or that I didn’t just hand you a newspaper from the future. Didn’t happen. Answer me this: I just told you that there was cyanide in your coffee. Did you believe me?”
His eyes darted about.
“Theodore Ace.”
His eyes snapped back to hers.
“Do you believe that your father would try to murder you?”
Something flickered in his eyes, she wasn’t sure what. He stared at her for a long moment.
“Yes,” he finally whispered.
“Okay then,” she said, a smile flashing across her face. “Let’s get out of here.”
Her eyes flew to the door--different voices now, but they were getting louder. “Quickly, someone’s coming--likely to check if you’re dead yet, and I imagine will have a bit of a situation on our hands if they find out you aren’t. Grab whatever you need, I’ll get the window.”
“Wait,” he said. “I’ve got a better idea.” Quickly, he stuffed a cravat that was draped over a chair into his pocket, grabbed up a jacket (quickly folding up and stuffing the newspaper in an inner pocket as he put it on), and then dropped to the ground and started fishing for something underneath his bed. Fascinated, she watched as he retrieved a well-kept fencing sword, though of what kind, she wasn’t sure, as well as a sword belt.
The voices were getting louder now--at least two, one male, one female. “Mr. Ace--” she hissed.
He was already moving, fiddling with some wood paneling on the other outside wall next to the window.
“Come now…” he muttered.
Suddenly there was a click, and the panel swung open like a door to reveal a dark passage. He beckoned her over and she obeyed, and he quickly pulled her inside and shut the door behind them.
“Oh, this is brilliant,” she whispered into the pitch-black. The ceiling was still very low, they were both having to crouch.
“Blast, I forgot a candle,” Theodore whispered back.
“Hang on…” Joker reached up and twisted one of her earring backs, then the other, and both of her seemingly diamond earrings lit up like tiny headlamps. Theodore threw his hand up and squinted at the beams suddenly shining in his face.
“Neat, isn’t it?” she said.
He turned away quickly. “Um…”
“Oh, sorry.” She lowered her chin slightly to get the light out of his eyes.
He eyed her suspiciously. “You have a lot of explaining to do once we get out of here,” he hissed.
“Gladly.” She heard Theodore’s bedroom doorknob twist on the other side. Her eyes widened. “But for now…”
“Right.” He turned and started to lead the way down the passage, Joker peering around him to provide light.
The ceiling quickly grew taller so that they could stand, but it still was very narrow--the hems of her skirts brushed up against both walls. She couldn’t really see what direction Theodore was leading them, and was pretty much left to study the back of his jacket. Which was very well-made, she noticed.
“Does anyone else know about these passages?” she asked.
“Shh,” he hushed her. “The walls in here are extremely thin,” he said in the faintest of whispers.
“Alright,” she said, matching his volume.
After a pause, he said, “I don’t think anyone else knows about these--only my father. But we don’t need to worry about him. He never does…hands-on work. He’s probably asleep.”
Asleep while he murdered his son. Joker supposed she shouldn’t be too surprised. “Did he discover them, or…?”
“No, he had this house renovated some twenty-odd years ago.”
“He had secret passages built into his house?”
“Does that truly surprise you?” He shot out an arm to stop her. “Careful--stairs.”
“Right.” She carefully followed him down, step by step. A cobweb got caught in her hair, and she hoped he didn’t notice how frantically she swatted it out. “If your father kept these passages such a secret, how did you discover them?”
He was silent for a full five seconds, making Joker wonder if he were ignoring her. But finally he said, “I was seven years old, and I spent a great deal of time entertaining myself by evading my tutors. The discovery came naturally. I used them to get into all sorts of mischief. My…father discovered I knew when I was thirteen. That’s when he decided I was clever.” He seemed to discard the last sentence as if it were a bad taste in his mouth. There was some significance to it, but Joker sensed she wouldn’t get any answers if she pressed further.
As they came to the bottom of the stairs, they passed a strange, cobwebby alcove. Joker stopped. “Do the servants often use these passages?”
Theodore stopped. “Not that I know of. Why?”
Joker stared at the back wall of the alcove, illuminated by her earrings. “Then who wrote that?”
Written in chalk under layers of dust were large, bold letters that read “BAD WOLF.”
Joker had that feeling you occasionally get when you feel that the current date is somehow important, but you can’t put your finger on why. She frowned.
“I think…I did.”
Joker looked at Theodore sharply out of the corner of her eye. He didn’t sound sure. Indeed, though it was difficult to tell in the dim light, he seemed deeply perturbed by the writing. His brow furrowed.
“A long time ago…” he muttered.
She looked back at the wall--indeed, the strokes looked like a child’s, large and imprecise. “What does it mean?” she asked.
“I--I don’t...” he trailed off, closed his mouth, frowned. He seemed almost caught in a trance.
I’m not the first strange thing you’ve encountered, she thought.
Voices on the other side of the wall broke her from her thoughts. “Um--” she began.
Theodore was already ahead of her, and, much to her surprise, grabbed her arm and firmly pulled her along with him the last length of the passage. When they came to the end, he stopped for a moment, pressing his ear to the wall, and then proceeded to press a small, concealed lever somewhere which popped the section of wall open like a door. Holding out an arm to hold her back, he peered out of the opening cautiously, then quickly pulled her through behind him and closed the secret door.
As it turned out, the passage had led them outside, their backs now pressed against the wall of the far right side of the house. It was quite dark--a new moon. Joker’s earrings were casting sharp beams of light into the shrubbery. She quickly shut them off for fear of attracting attention.
“Brilliant,” Joker whispered. “I suppose there’s no underground passage that would lead into town?”
“No,” Theodore whispered back.
“One would think.”
“One would.”
She glanced up at the windows above her--no light emanated from them, but that of course didn’t mean there was no one watching. “So I suppose we just run, and hope no one notices?”
“And pray you don’t trip in your…heels, you said?”
“I don’t do that.”
They looked at each other then, and Joker felt a thrill run through her. She felt a faint sense of guilt a moment later--this man was running for his life, after all, and so was she. It wasn’t an unfamiliar experience. Joker had spent most of her life (lives, whatever one called it) fleeing on its behalf, so much so that it hardly frightened her--a strange sort of callousness towards her own mortality that would give a psychiatrist or the author of her nonexistent biography a field day, she supposed--but this was different. This was someone else she was saving, not just herself. And while of course that was dreadfully serious, she couldn’t keep herself from admitting that it was much more fun.
“Running for your life is more fun with friends,” Joker thought. Next cross stitch project?
But then, of course, she quickly reminded herself that she and Theodore were not friends. At least, not yet.
“That was an exaggeration,” she amended. “Or at least, a little. I like to imagine my running capabilities in heels are fairly impressive, given the practice I’ve had. But I admit, they were a bad call--they’re not even historically accurate, I genuinely forgot--what ladies of your time have against a darling pair of heels, I’ll never understand.” She was blabbing. She kicked herself.
Theodore was definitely staring at her, but it was too dark to discern his expression.
“All of that to say,” she said, “I’ll be fine.”
“...alright,” he said. Was that a smile in his voice, maybe?
No point in wasting the time in wondering now. She stared out into the dark, at the gaslights of the city in the distance. “Do you want to count down, or shall I?”
Theodore tightened his grip on her arm--out of anxiety or mistrust of her previous statement about not tripping, she wasn’t sure. “Three…two…one…”
And they fled into the night.

Please feel free to point out any historical inaccuracies to me--I've researched until my eyeballs have nearly fallen out of my head, but it's inevitable that I've missed something.

A Cat For A Clover

More comms I got from @sakura-rose12 🥰
This one is of my Stardew Valley AU for Ace and Will!
After killing Clover and finding Neverland's Diadem, Will convinces Ace to move to Pelican Town and live on Will's old family farm. It's rundown, long abandoned after Will's parents died and his sibling also passed, but Will was determined to give Ace the calm life he knew he deserved even if Will couldn't be alive to help do it (yes, he's still a ghost here. This was more of a canon divergence from Ace's story than a full rewrite, so sadly Will is still killed by Clover before the story begins)
Ace takes to it like a duck to water. He doesn't really know how to talk to the townspeople, afraid to get them hurt, but he slowly forms bonds with all of them over time. They don't really know anything about his past, though, and for a long, long time, none of them know that Will is dead.
This comic takes place a year or so into Ace living at the farm, maybe a little more. Sebastian and Ace having feelings for each other is a more recent development, especially on Sebastian's end (Ace has yet to realize he's starting to like Sebastian romantically). Sebastian has also learned of Will's death, which means that Will makes himself visible every now and then to talk with and mess around with him. Especially now that he knows Sebastian is crushing on Ace xD

Ace: When will the clown sightings happen again? Those were fun times.
Yuu: Look in the mirror and they can start today.
Crowley: You said you two had nothing to do with that prank on me. Are you lying to me?
Ace: Depends on how you define lying.
Crowley: I define it as not telling the truth. How do you define it?
Yuu: Reclining your body in a horizontal position.
Crowley:
Yuu:
Ace:
Crowley: Get out of my office.
Yuu & Ace: Gladly.
*during when Ace ran away to Ramshackle after eating Riddle’s tart*
Ace: It was an honest mistake! An accident!!
Yuu: Yeah Ace, well what if I “accidentally” murdered you? I’d still have to go to trial! I’d probably get off with justifiable homicide, but that’s not the point.
Yuu: What is wrong with you?!
Ace: Wow, you could start with “good morning.”
Yuu: Good morning.
Yuu: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!
Yuu: One thing about Ace is that you carry a deck of cards with you everywhere you go, right?
Ace: Yeah.
Yuu: What other things make you special and unique?

The funny part is that I will always find someone in the fandom that denies the sibling dynamic because B doesn't think of the caretaker as a parent. Buddy, B doesn't need to.
