#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #wen qing #wen ning #animation #This was another fun experiment that I learned a lot from B*)#I think that stargazing was something WWX probably took for granted in his first life.#Namely that - despite seeming like the carefree type - he probably didn't have the patience for it.#Why look at the sky when there are so many other things to do at night? It's not like the stars are going anywhere after all.#And when he's in yiling...well he has far to much to do inside his cave or on night hunts to look up at the boring dots.#He's a moon guy - but only so far as 'is the moon phase bright enough to read under tonight? is is dark enough to sneak around?'#It's probably only after the end of untangling the web of secrets and murders in his second life -#-that he realizes the beauty in just...taking a moment and taking in the sky with someone by your side.#Luckily for him the high altitude and cold air of a certain cloud recess makes for excellent start gazing conditions.#Wen Qing would be in the know on what the constellations are. Almost entirely because Wen Ning kept asking her.#As an older sibling you can A) Lie or B) Delve deep into research to claim your throne of 'the knower'.#I have knowledge about many things because I craved being 'the knower' as a youth. Now I don't know anything ever.

After the events of Junior Year, Fig releases a single called "Complicated". It baffles Cig Figs fans because there was no announcement, just a quiet release. It's also very different from her usual stuff, with a more folksy vibe and only one instrument, an acoustic guitar. It's clear Fig is singing, but she's never been known to play an acoustic guitar.

The song sings of being a teenage adventurer in a world much bigger than yourself, of older men and broken dreams, of mothers and daughters, of betrayal and of new life. Another voice joins Fig's for the last chorus ("I don't want to be perfect, I just want to be complicated" (which is changed from the usual words "I wanna be perfect, but it's all so complicated")), but nobody can figure out who it is.

Fig isn't making it easier to figure out. She never plays the song live, and when asked about who the mysterious other people (the guitarist and the second vocalist) are, she just waves it off with a laugh and says that said person would rather remain anonymous.

It continues to confuse fans until one night, around the middle of Fig's set at a big concert, she tells the crowd that she's going to be doing something new, something she's never done live before.

The crowd waits in anticipation as Sandra Lynn shuffles on stage, holding a beat up old acoustic guitar, covered in paint and hand prints from her Aguefort adventuring party.

Fig introduces her mother, the inspiration for the song, and both the guitarist and the second vocalist.

And for the first time ever, "Complicated" is played live

Quick update! ✨

I'm alive and well! Just very busy!🐰

I still have full intent on finishing Mushroom Oasis! 🎮

I guess that's the most important stuff out of the way haha. Detailed stuff below if you'd like but in general; I'm doing alright! I miss managing the blog and queueing up questions, but the finish line is close, I'll be able to get back to those soon! ❤️

I'm so close to being done with a project I'm helping a friend with (a quite important final year project) and afterwards, I'd like to take some time drawing for myself for once with some Mermay ideas for Patreon!

I'm sticking to my intended goals and it's going quite well; I can't wait to get back to working on MO though, I have so many ideas now that I've got my priorities in order! I've got a loose narrative in mind, nothing too ambitious, but definitely a natural progression to the story to fit the slow burn theme I've set myself out to do.

I'm sorry to make you all wait so long for another update, but I promise to deliver my best! Even if people lose interest in the future because I took too long, I strive for them to be pleasantly surprised by a quality update should they ever come back to the game.❤️

I need to stop before it gets cheesy but hey! If you're down here, what's a project you've got going on? Is there a project in your noggin you'd like to start? A new hobby? A new skill? I'd love to hear it!

You cannot be a perfectionist'.#Right now - posting these slightly upgraded frames is really helping me stay motivated through the learning grind.#But progress is happening! I'm so excited to show it off when it's done!#Someone with a very discerning eye might be able to figure out what I'm doing with just this one frame. I will take the risk.#That aside; I often think about how the nature of cultivators in MDZS's world also entailed knowing about other art forms.#Meaning that Wen Qing and Wen Ning likely were good musicians and artists.#We know WWX is also good in art and music so...really...what was stopping them from forming a band?#Allow me to pitch this AU: Yiling Opera company AU. WWX and the Wen remnants form a performing trope and tour towns and cities.#Not only do they find a way to keep on the move (no home...only the road and the people around you).#But you also get to be in costume - which is a socially appropriate way to always be in disguise.#Yiling Laozu would thus be a character and/or WWX's stage name.#Would he be good at keeping it a secret? Hard to say with WWX! I think it would be a poorly-kept secret at best.#He likes to brag and show off a bit too much. This many would be either the worst or best spy.#Consider the drama of JC losing his mind over his ex-brother becoming a clown. Imagine JC Getting his ass kicked by said clown.#Imagine the delectable secret identity drama potential of Lan Wangji stumbling upon the trope's performances.#We did not get nearly enough of the secret identiy drama in MDZS canon. I need more of it.#I need that man conflicted with his feelings for the same person. I need them playing mind games with each other at all times.

I think it was a relatively short arc of Jack learning how to be a guardian after the movie? Idk there was a lot self-actualization-#At that part. That I remember. I think it was for how he'd move on from his old family and start to learn how to love his new one?#And finally. The nighlight reunion. Where despite the whole 'reunited and it feels so good' shebang. There are tensions #I think I had Jack mad at nightlight at one point? I genuinely forgor. I might remember after a while.#Dont mind how I draw Nightlight's hair. I was experimenting. Also I think he looks much more cosmic that way
