Dual Swords

Description: The swords are identical. The blades and guards are gray metal, and the grips are black with no pommel. The swords resemble scimitars. The guards stick out to the inner part of the sword, with the end curling downward slightly toward the grip.

History: Finn picked up these swords while battling ghosts in the Fight King's arena. He used only one of them when fighting Jake, and abandoned them when leaving the arena.

Lightning Sword

Description: The blade is light blue, the guard and pommel are white, and the grip is wrapped in brown leather. The blade is jagged like a bolt of lightning, and the guard and pommel are shaped like clouds. The blade has the ability to shoot lightning from the tip.

History: Finn picked up this sword in the dungeon train and used it for his on-screen fights. It is not seen again after he leaves, so he presumably abandoned it with the rest of the loot on the train.

I was so sad when they cut Luke teaching Percy sword fighting from earlier episodes, one of the main reasons being because it would have meant that they couldn’t reasonably have Luke giving Percy instructions during the Ares fight, but having sword fighting lesson flashbacks during the fight was genius it tied everything together really well and made so much sense considering Luke hasn’t been in a huge portion of the show and your average viewer wouldn’t necessarily recognise his voice

Just a quick reminder: Skyward Sword Link is SCARY in a sword fight

This is actually my second time playing Skyward Sword HD. I do not consider myself a beginner necessarily, but I Did Not Know that I was capable of demolishing mini bosses lol. Years of Lynel training I suppose xD

Also this post was kiiinda made with Linked Universe in mind, but, really, it doesn't have to be about LU. This dude (be it Link, Sky or whatnot) is horrifying in every instance.

Demon Blood Sword

Description: The entire sword is dark red, being made of blood. It is a bastard sword with a bevel down the middle of the blade from point to guard. The guard resembles a Celtic cross, with the horizontal line extending beyond the circle and ending in three symmetrical rounded points. The grip is two-handed and bound in leather, and the pommel resembles a solid torus with a tiny cross at the end.

History: The sword was forged by the demon Kee-Oth from his own blood and immediately stolen by Joshua. Finn then inherited the sword by conquering Joshua's dungeon. The sword was Finn's main weapon until Kee-Oth forced him to break it, allowing the sword to be reabsorbed as demon blood. Finn briefly attempted to use the broken-off hilt as a weapon, but quickly gave up.

Flame Sword

Description: The sword is blue, made entirely of fire. The blade does not appear to have a bevel nor the grip a pommel, and the guard is a V shape relative to the blade pointing up.

History: This sword was created from a small dagger Finn had been carrying when he transformed into Flame Finn in the corrupted Fire Kingdom. He uses it until Lumpy Space Princess cures him, at which point the sword disappears.
