Still thinking about that little angel I dreamt about a bit ago so I’ve been binging other angel stuff and felt inspired to try to draw him as @hoaxghost ‘s style of angel.

#weirdly the halo was the hardest part to figure out because he very explicitly doesn’t usually have one. but man I’m charmed by it now #I was worried about balancing what’s damage he received VS slight cracks that ended from that damage making him a bit too human in nature #but it turned out pretty nicely even if it was hard to keep them simple and contained #still very proud of the stylization on his eyes making it look like the bottom one is a teardrop #nope he’s a freak #also yeah committing to he/himing the angel #less in a Boy Way and more in a like… gendering a hen male because you need to refer to that specific hen instead of the group #the boy vs the girls #idk if that makes any sense but that’s my own grammar and how it affects the little grub #my art #my ocs

Catching up to CSM is terrible because all it does is make me wish JJK was more like it

#Like. Obv they're different. But CSM is willing to really fucking Commit To The Bit of social commentary and horror and stuff #JJK has the bones of great world building but that's all they are. Bones. There's no MEAT #CSM has meat- sometimes its maybe rotten and festering but it's MEAT #Anyway. My real gripe w Gege isn't that they mishandle things as much as they seem like they aren't handling things well #(treatment of the girls & women in the story / lackluster criticism of power structures / weird random ableism / UI Ui / etc)#But they don't fuckin commit to the bit. Fujimoto uhhhhh. Well. He fucking writes. Good or bad you have to acknowledge he's saying SOMETHIN #Like I think that's what genuinely gets me. If fujimoto does weird shit you can See It because he makes it obvious.#When Gege does weird shit it's hard to notice bc it's just kinda brushed over in favor of other shit so it ends up feeling #Almost insidious. It's probably not intentional but it's still like ''hm I think people are internalizing aspects of this without #Realizing that it is in fact influencing the way they think''.#Vs with chainsaw man you can say ''what the fuck does this mean???'' and have actual discussion about the themes messages and implications #Of the shit being written. JJK is evil not just because it's kinda mediocre and disappointing but also because it genuinely makes me think #''i should reread fire punch'' which. Pros: I'm older and smarter and can maybe actually analyze the thematic elements logically #Also I get to see togata again. Cons: it's fucking fire punch

cory in the DR tonight saying “idk i just think it’ll be funny…” really sums his whole game up cuz like—

this kid came in thinking “i’m gonna play up the little brother thing and get everyone to think i’m just a sweet innocent boy so i seem non-threatening!” — and, sure! that’s a solid plan!

…and then he proceeded to have a one-sided beef with hisam from day 1, joke-flirted his way into legitimately falling for america, was on slop for like half the season which has seemingly shrunk him by half, and decided he needed to go up against a reality TV legend in cirie. on top of ALL THAT he has now played a major role in saving felicia TWICE, it almost cost him his game prejury BOTH times, and she is more than likely STILL GOING AFTER HIM. (this is comedy.)

and now, as a result of all of this, he has been at the center of three (3) out of only like 4 big fight/blowout moments so far this season. two of which directly involved… FUCKING BOWIE JANE 💀💀💀

…ah yes sir, very lowkey, very under the radar, good work 🫡

anyway if that child can do anything it is commit to the bit.

king lear is a fucking wild play it doesnt tell you where any of the scenes take place and theres very little stage directions so i didnt realize until i read a footnote that one of the characters PLUCKED OUT A MAN'S EYE AND THEN STOMPED ON IT
