In the first few seconds, we are tipped off that there's someone 'bigger and badder' than Lucifer, blink and you miss it but 'Evil' appears to be someone.

He also has elders but there's no god character, it's all mean angel's being clannish as they operate business.

Lucifer meets Lilith, she's the one, a human who is as ambitious and progressive as him, they're so happy and want to share and empower Eve with something that wasn't there's to share apparently and they were apparently oblivious to, as a result the two of them were cast out into the pit Lucifer made where he 'lost his will to dream' and wallowed about?

Lilith on the other hand thrived. So has she been running this operation the whole time while Lucifer was the innocent sadman? He's not 'big and bad', OK, but is he even competent? Lilith is, if only Lilith wasn't missing.

(Why did Lucifer make a pit in the first place? We are aware that the name Lucifer has a meaning that contrasts this?)

Their daughter Charlie is the chosen one for some reason. As youthful as she seems, how old is she, how long has she held responsibilities?

Well, we meet Charlie, we are told she is hopeless.

We are still in the first 4 minutes of this.

She is told this to her face, she's talked over and spoken for too.

Right off the bat, Charlie, like her dad Lucifer, appear to be the quietest one in the room in every room in the house. We are tuning in to watch their (mainly Charlie's) endeavors, they're the devil and the antichrist, yet leadership or any position of authority, like in its spinoff, seem to be but a slight suggestion if we are supposed to like the character.

The very influential Lilith has been missing 7 years and in episode 2 we learn that the exceptionally powerful sinner Alastor too been missing 7 years. We learn of a Alastor Vox rivalry radio demon and one with a tv for a head, I see what they did but by episode 3 we have meet a LOT of characters, there are so many subplots, most of which I've forgotten.

Like its spinoff, we digress from the initial plot pretty soon, which would be fine if their wasn't so much going on and an established lore and power system that means little.

Hopefully things pick up and focus.

Honestly, I love it when characters relapse. When someone who’s gotten over their anger issues falls into a situation so out of their depth they fall back on their old habits. When someone who’s learned to open up becomes a recluse again in order to cope with something outside their control.

There’s just something so horrible, so toxic, about watching a character grow and then slip back into their old selves in order to cope, bc you know they still care, that they’re the same inside, but watching them hurt so hard they don’t know what else to do brings a sense of catharsis.

Worst thing is when you have story idea, the plot, the main character is feeding you everything at 3am after it wakes you up but you don't write it down or you just scribble a note because it's so good you'll definitely remember.

Then you wake up and it's gone.

An echo of greatness and you'll always know you've forgotten it.
