Ray: proper greeting, grammar, and capitalization. he understands modern texting culture but thinks his version is better. his contacts are immaculately sorted: full name, phone, address, email, photo

Benitez: a gentlemanly mix of auto caps and how the teens from his flock(s) taught him. surprisingly hip. finds how Lawrence types to be endearing. sends good morning gifs. sas one contact (Ray, his emergency contact, just in case) and the rest are memorized phone-numbers

Bellini: roughly the same as Ray but with more facebook minion memes

Tedesco: catholic copy-paste chains and unintelligible gobbledygook. his fingers are too big for the little screen’s keyboard, and he never has his reading glasses, so it autocorrects to tangentially-related words.

Sister Agnes: roughly the same as Ray but with more tasteful jesus jokes forwarded from her sister nuns. knows everyone’s passwords. the only person who even knows about dark mode.

Mel decides to apologise to Jayce so she asks around trying to find a way to contact him to no avail until she spots him randomly one night, passing by THEIR restaurant, the one they frequented, the one he proposed to her in and hes there with Viktor.

She crashes their date before thinking, then pieces it together as she stares at both of them.

Viktor like a deer caught in headlights says "Mel?"

Jayce, trying to maintain his cool responds, "You two know each other"

Mel bursts out laughing, its manic and offputting, and she walks out.

Viktor follows without a word to Jayce.

Outside, he yells after her (he's not running)

She approaches him, tears falling from her eyes despite her stern expression.

"You were the only real friend I had left" she says.

"Whose fault is that?" he smiles weakly.

Her heart is hammering in her chest, she scoffs almost humoured.

Jayce comes out.

Mel freaks and tries to leave.

Viktor calls her back.
