I went with the earliest generation of Pokemon, since Elwin tries to adhere so strongly to tradition and because of things like Phoenix's Dominant needing to commune with and gain insight from House Rosfield's ancestors in times of war. (And also because nostalgia plus the fact that I haven't kept up with Pokemon in so long omg.)

Of course Moltres has to be in there!

His Pidgeotto would act as his stolas -- though rather than using aether to relay messages via thought, Pidgeotto physically carries missives and the likes to Elwin's intended recipient.

The Dragonite was a gift from Emperor Sylvestre from back when Sanbreque and Rosaria first entered an alliance.

Surprisingly, the Ninetales is meant to represent a certain someone, although they are far less disagreeable than she is...
