Brief hater moment but I don’t like it when people characterize Marina as someone who would be an aggro turf player. She is a support player though and though

don’t forget the incredible Chihuahuan desert!

“oh, I live in a desert and-”
“wow that must be so terrible” “deserts are so ugly” “I would never want to live in a wasteland like that” “it’s just empty nothingness”
wishing 10,000 exploding hammers upon you
behold New Mexico

I often see the sentiment that Apollo is somehow incapable of lying due to truth being one of his domains, but I don’t think that’s a fair assessment of his character nor giving him enough credit.
He’s a compulsive liar in TOA, albeit it’s not done maliciously. It’s a coping mechanism so deeply ingrained in him that it takes two and a half books for him to admit to us that he doesn’t actually believe half the arrogant and selfish things he’s been telling the cast and the readers. He’s a very contradictory god! Apollo’s own domains are opposites of each other (disease/healing). He can be multifaceted!
I think if anything, it just means that it’s more impactful when he’s honest. When he indulges in allowing himself to be vulnerable, openly admitting how much he loves his friends and family as well as owning up to his mistakes, Apollo has a way of leaving people speechless. His companions gain a newfound respect for him, and I think that’s mostly because of him finally being truthful. There’s more power in his words when he’s not being fake.
He’s fully capable of lying, he’s just weaker doing so.

You know. There's something that's really entertaining about how both of your iSaT AUs are polar opposites of the same spectrum. It just makes me giggle a little.
On one hand, we have the two having friendly banters with one another as they debate what they should do.
And on the other, we have homicide.

Y'know what bothers me most about Bionicle weaponry?
It's not the metallic beings covered in plate armour still wielding swords; I have no trouble believing in fantasy super-metals that can shear and punch through each other when shaped into a blade. Plus blades could still do significant damage to all the exposed organic tissue and vulnerable joints.
It's not any of the comically oversized weapons either; these characters are much stronger than humans, they can get away with proportionally implausible equipment.
Dual-purpose weapons, impractical designs, utterly bizarre contraptions, none of that really irks me at all. I'm here for it.
What bothers me is the near-complete lack of counterweights.
Seriously. None of these swords have pommels. None of these spears' butts are weighted (Or spiked! Huge loss!). It seems like the handles of most tools end somewhere in the user's palm. You're lucky to even see a shaft continuing beyond the hand, let alone properly finished. These things would be flying out of people's hands all the time, not to mention the balance issues.
Tumblr media
Basically, Axonn is the only bitch I respect. Even if the shaft of that axe is so thin that a single swing would snap it like a twig, at least he understands the importance of a good weighted grip.
I can overlook most aesthetic quirks, even appreciate them, but this I say, is where I draw the line. This and all the holes in the shields, I mean honestly.

Feel free to be more specific in comments/notes if you want! If you want to elaborate further, how do you organize them? By role, species, age, alphabetical order, vibes or something else?

underrated aspect of 2017x that I don’t see often is how he’s not inherently evil or does things to purposely torture people, he doesn’t want to hurt tails or any of his friends.
He’s essentially just a mentally unstable “sonic” who only wishes to help people, but unintentionally hurts them in the process. It kinda adds to the tragedy of it all, he’s someone who’s trying to not be X, someone who’s distancing himself from that life and trying to be someone he’s not.
For example, one of the things I love about subterfuge’s lyrics is that 2017x constantly sounds desperate, he’s practically asking for reassurance that he’s sonic and his broken face design only adds to it as he’s literally getting his identity and delusion shattered.
It’s so simple but really complex and it sucks how he’s just been dumbed down to freaky sonic or just another faker form for X for some reason when in actuality he’s probably one of the more unique exe to have been written as of recent.

Question for the DPxDC crowd
what do you guys actually consider liminal? Like, I genuinely don't know anymore
because early on it was pretty much just Jazz having grown up with ectoplasm in the house for years and in her food, which makes sense, and it was an extremely rare thing
then it got expanded to Sam and Tucker
Then members of the Bat crew that got resurrected by a Lazarus pit(and Dick for some reason? He's never canonically died guys...)
Now it seems to be the entirety of Amity Parkers, All the Bat clan, half of Gotham, Half the Justice Leage, the entirety of the League of Assassins
is it just having come into contact with ectoplasm/Lazarus Pits? Prolonged exposure? Because it's starting to feel like everyone is liminal besides the guys in white for some reason
Like you guys have started using Liminal to basically replace the word "Ecto-contaminated" There is a canon word for the thing you guys have started using liminal to describe

I finally finished watching S6 oH MY GOSH.
Tumblr media
That was SO GOOD. Definitely best season of the second arc! The Rayllum moments were to die for. 🥹💖 The pacing was really good. The story arcs were so good. Everything was SO GOOD. I am worried about the future of so many characters tho. So many potential death flags 😬 That extra quasar diamond is definitely going to be used.

My one complaint and really only complaint about the Pale Garden is that it doesn’t feel like a garden.
Like idk maybe some pale flowers or even berries, anything really. Desaturated just like the rest of the biome of course, but something more than the moss, trees and grass.
If it was the Pale Forest, it would fit more. But garden not so much rn.

Batwheels is a good show, but I just always need to remember i'm watching a show aimed at 4 or 5 year olds, not 8 or 9 year olds. Those are very different demographics, because kids evolve shockingly fast. At four there's less need for logical consistency, because all that's needed is a fun show with bright characters and fun stories. At four i probably wasn't as nitpicky as I am now. Of course, I could be wrong about that. I don't exactly remember much about being four, you know.
But I sort of remember being nine or ten. And I know that I had a drive for knowledge and logical thinking by that time. A show having logic and consistency would definitely make me like it more. I think my high school teachers said that the brain only stops maturing once you hit 25. So that means there's gotta be so many different demographics in between ages 0 and 25. Each year, kids learn more and evolve their minds. And each kid is different. I matured decently quickly, but I knew kids who were still immature in grade 9 of high school. So...yeah. I hope this makes sense to other people. I tried to write this coherently.
