i would very much like people to stop comparing nexus' with ruin's new model, not lore wise, but in THEIR MODELS
may i need to remind y'all Nexus model is NOT A NEXUS MODEL? may i need to remind y'all he's a MOON. CANON MOON FROM FNAF MODEL, THAT SOMEONE MADE IN VRCHAT OUT OF A FANART DESIGN AN ARTIST THAT HAS NOOOOTHING TO DO WITH TSAMS MADE???
i doooont give a frickity fuck if ruin has better fashion sense or whatever the hell, please lets shut up, vamos cerrando el ortito. The clothes "Nexus'" model has aren't bad at all, you actually can't expect much more in """fashion""" from a character who isn't loved enough by their creators that they couldn't even try and give him an original design and instead took any random scary looking moon to use for him, unlike with ruin, genuinely, shhhut up and stop making the model look bad cause he's not even Nexus, IT LOOKS GOOD i don't care what people think about it. There's effort and love behind both vrchat model and original fanart design. This was talked about the first fricking time he appeared, when you shit on Nexus' model even slightly you're also shitting on the modeler and artist behind him.

I’m back on my Batman kick and I have a genuine question. So the new Battinson movie’s (kinda sorta) confirmed to be in the works and I really wanna see a Robin but *which one* bc no matter what it’s gonna add some spice. So here’s my arguments for each Robin!
1. Dick Grayson
Ok so timeline wise this makes the most sense, and obviously Dick was the first Robin. But I think that he would force Bruce to confront his past trauma following his own parents’ death. Additionally, I feel like Dick is a direct reflection of Bruce, and the first time he tried to build up a hero who not only carries out his legacy, but is a culmination of his best traits without his flaws. Dick would allows him to give someone the childhood he wished he had and he can make Dick better than he ever was. Dick also has the initial acrobatic abilities that convinced Bruce he could be a capable partner.
I also think this could give us a look into Brucie Wayne, from making public appearances (the circus event) to his philanthropy (helping out orphanages/publicly adopting Dick).
2. Jason Todd
Ok so I admit I’m a bit biased, but I think Jason could work really well into Batman 2. First of all, I think he could be a really great reflection/homage to the Penguin series. There, Penguin takes Victor under his wing after he tries to take his wheels from his car, the same way Batman finds Jason. This could be a great opportunity to bring Penguin/Sofia back into the fold, and it can show the difference between the Gothamites drawn to good and evil.
On another note, there are different villains that this story can center around, but I think it’s ultimately going to be the Joker (kinda disappointing bc I was hoping to see Pyg, more of Scarecrow/Penguin/Sofia, or even the Court of Owls, but alas…). This makes Jason being Bruce’s Robin so good… for the plot… not Bruce or Jason lol. But this brings the Joker into the fold, allows an opportunity for character complexity/development, and AGAIN forces the audience to look at Gotham as a whole. In that scenario, if Jason were to die, and as a parallel to Victor, we would see that Gotham shows mercy to no one (even sweet baby Jason), as each protege is killed whether they are “good” or “bad,” to put it simply. It also makes Bruce reevaluate his code and role as Batman, possibly setting us up for another film..?
I think ultimately, Jason is such a sweetheart and he worms his way into Bruce’s heart. He’s a vulnerability that the Joker can exploit, and it will only enhance Bruce as a character when it comes to complexity and humanization. I sincerely hope he doesn’t die bc I honestly STILL can’t believe ppl even voted him off in the first place, but I also didn’t think Penguin was gonna end how it did so we’ll see.
3. Tim Drake
Tbh I feel like Tim is a realistic option— I say realistic bc the Battinson movies are pretty grounded in reality, and Tim being taken in as a Robin could be really simple and lowkey hilarious.
Like picture this: there will likely be a timeskip and I imagine we’ll see a lot of Brucie Wayne and galas. Bruce runs in the same circles as the Drakes, and they probably interact a lot. So imagine, Tim, the BEST detective, just walks up to Brucie and is like “I know your secret” and just blackmails him into letting Tim be his Robin 💀💀 and Bruce is just like “fuck it” 😭😭😭
4. Stephanie Brown
I’m gonna be so fr I haven’t read a comic in forever and so my knowledge of Stephanie is lwk limited but FROM VERY MINIMAL RESEARCH… I feel like just from the way she was introduced, her being Robin is unlikely. However, I feel like Bruce could discover her working independently as Spoiler through some detective work that isn’t like- essential to the main plot but more as a means to set up the film. Anyway, he sees her dedication to justice and she, starstruck, asks to be trained by him. I think that she could be a really humanizing sidekick for Bruce. Like she’s very disarming in her ability to get close to people, and in the comics, Bruce opens up to HER specifically. She can reinforce Batman’s humanity and lean more into his image of hope that was established at the end of the first Batman. She can keep him grounded and make him remember his purpose when things get dark.
5. Damian Wayne
Ok so if Damian is introduced there needs to be a serious timeskip/some creative liberties but I feel like it’s totally feasible. I feel like there could be a mini plot twist where Talia is some kinda lover/ex (post timeskip) that is later revealed to be in the League of Assassins (which can be a nod to the Dark Knight films). But anyway I imagine Damian kinda being dumped into Bruce at some point, and he just has no idea what to do.
Like this kid, who was trained to be an Assassin, a better Batman, a weapon, who’s been abused and brainwashed, and yet still seeks guidance from the man he failed to become… it would sorta crush him. I think Bruce would admire his desire to do good, whether it’s out of spite or not, and it would reinforce his “no-kill” code, because THIS Robin would be evidence that rehabilitation *is* possible. That, even someone who’s been shaped into a weapon since birth, who has every reason to be evil, still seeks goodness. I also think Damian’s inherently gentle nature (art, his love for animals, etc.) would show Bruce that even those forced into evil still have the potential to be good. This would allow Bruce to acknowledge the complex nature of every hero/villain in Gotham, and tackle them with that knowledge.
Ok that’s it 🌝 I focused on the Robins mostly because I want to see Bruce in a fatherly position ON TOP of his role as a mentor, and him trying to strike that balance. The only reason I didn’t include Duke was because he’s a Meta and idk how well that would fit into this universe, specifically, but he’s my goat so.
Anywayyyyy if anyone wants to hear about the Babs/Cass/Duke lmk 😜 also lmk if you want to hear my thoughts on Penguin and Sofia because OH MY GOD I’m still not over them.

TADC Intermission Theory
ok so in episode 5, there was an intermission section which absolutely slaps. it's so sensory, very wow.
anyway there's a portion of it that stood out to me. the bit with the bowling balls and cakes. other people have expressed their theories believing the cake to represent abstraction or something akin to that, but that doesn't make sense considering what this show is about. this show is about finding meaning in a stagnant life, so it doesn't make sense to kill or abstract any of the main cast. that said I do think there is something to be taken from the intermission scene.
My theory is that the bowling ball and cake bit of the intermission scene was a metaphorical representation for how the adventures go. After all, Zooble wasn't in that bit, as they don't usually participate in adventures. also there seemed to be a bit of a time skip between the end of episode 4 and the beginning of episode 5, with Pomni being much more adjusted to the digital world now in comparison to the previous episodes. So chances are good that there were a good number of adventures that happened during the time skip.
now, Jax, Pomni, and Kinger had Bowling balls, with Jax and Pomni getting crushed by said bowling balls.
I think the bowling balls symbolize physical harm. So if there were situations where a character experiences physical harm of some kind, chances are good that Pomni or Jax would be the ones on the receiving end of it. I'm thinking like looney tunes level cartoon violence.
The cake is a lie symbolizes the mess that would come from the physical harm, which is why it comes after the bowling balls land.
this also might be a funny way to call Gangle and Ragatha both a mess. what with their emotions being the least stable out of everyone else in the cast. But adventure wise it's likely that scenario like this would play out.
The cast is walking around a wooded area, and some NPC creature or something appears and starts trying to chase off the circus crew. in it's attempts at intimidation, it'd take Pomni or Jax and throw them into a tree. Ragatha or Gangle, by cause and effect, would be the one to get hit with the beehive that was in that tree and have to deal with an angry swarm of bees.
Caine made it pretty clear that every adventure he makes has something bad happen in it to tell a story, so for Ragatha and Gangle, while they might not be a likely target for the NPC's, they'd likely end up in the cross fire or affected by being in proximity to the main targets.
this brings me to Kinger, who also had a bowling ball, but caught it instead of getting squished.
Kinger's been in the circus the longest, so it's likely he's gotten wise to how the adventures will try to hurt him. so he knows how to keep himself safe, and will likely try to keep others safe when given the chance to.
what happens next in the sequence is interesting though. because I think part of the he reason didn't get squished was because the background was black, signifying darkness. so he was able to think more on his feet, hence why he caught it.
then the bowling ball disappears and the background turns white, and Kinger looks confused for a moment before he's knocked down by a rook chess piece.
this could symbolize that Kinger more vulnerable to external threats or forces when he's in bright places, but when the light levels are low enough, he's more capable than anyone else in the circus (except maybe Zooble).

More interesting engineering! I'm tucking all this in my back pocket for a new fic idea I've been prepping —
Like I know it's rumored that his builder had a grudge against Gresley but surely they didn't build exactly one locomotive and immediately go out of business. There had to have been other cursed bootleg engines produced.
This is a really good point that I've had cause to wonder about. I am not sure who would have bought them but I tend to think that there were others who simply died before 1945. Henry was lucky to be on Sodor. Others served the war effort as scrap metal, if they even got so far as that.
I mean I guess they could have been a relatively competent maker of industrial shunters or something but it'd be hilarious if they pulled stunts like this repeatedly.
See, this reminds me of the workshop where Hatt found Percy, in all his Frankenstein gloriousness. Like it doesn't really make sense character-wise since Hatt is supposed to have been so spittingly furious about the Henry swindle. But that place feels like the sort of place that might produce and/or procure weird, inventive, makeshift engineering and along the way they're an obvious distributor for something like OG Henry.
I've just had a realization about Henry Mk1, the fictional sodor locomotive that was rumored to be built to stolen plans by an engineer jealous of Sir Nigel Gresley, but who stole the wrong plans. The engine was so flawed when built that they unloaded it to the first desperate buyer--Mr. Topham Hatt--who "wanted an Atlantic, but that ----- ------ ------ sent me that!"
So Henry I is said to have an undersized firebox, but he's also said to look like Gordon, and most of the best guesses for Henry's basis is that it was a modified Ivatt Atlantic stretched into either a ten wheeler or a Pacific. He also looks to have as wide a firebox as Gordon's in the illustrations and in the classic show.

an Ivatt Atlantic.

The A0 prototype--also thought to be Gordon as built, though he would have been heavily modified until he was mechanically identical to the A1s. (i.e., Flying Scotsman, Great Northern, etc)
Suppose Gresley's first thought was to stretch an Atlantic into a ten wheeler, and not a Pacific. With no room for the driving wheels, he'd have had to cut into the firebox, changing it into a narrow "keyhole" shape like Edward's. He would have done some calculations on the firebox's heating rate versus the power output of the engine, and determined that the loco wouldn't work, and then tossed the plans--right into the thief's hands.
My theory is that Henry I had the boiler barrel of a Large Boiler Atlantic, and he was built with larger cylinders (comparable to Gordon's, rather than the original Atlantic's). Maybe even three or four cylinders, maybe intended to be a compound like some of the Ivatt Atlantics iirc, but built by the thieves incorrectly as a simple-expansion engine. But he had a thin 'keyhole' style firebox squeezed between the rear drivers.
So Henry was lugging around Gordon-type weight, held a Gordon amount of steam and water, and had just as much tractive effort as Gordon... but with a firebox barely larger than Edward's. He'd take ages to build pressure, and when he did, he'd exhaust it faster than he could build up more.
He looks like he had a wide firebox like Gordon because in order to mask this obvious oversight, Henry's builders built the boiler jacket, the smooth painted outer hull, to be the same shape as an Ivatt Large Boiler Atlantic's boiler jacket, but most of it was just hollow.
Combine that with generally poor build quality--valve gear out of time, low factor of adhesion despite the extra driver due to oversized cylinders, leaky fittings and cylinders--and you got yourself a "deplorable" locomotive, but one that is ultimately recoverable if he's given the care he deserves.
Plus I like Henry being a ten wheeler pre- and post- rebuild.

underrated aspect of 2017x that I don’t see often is how he’s not inherently evil or does things to purposely torture people, he doesn’t want to hurt tails or any of his friends.
He’s essentially just a mentally unstable “sonic” who only wishes to help people, but unintentionally hurts them in the process. It kinda adds to the tragedy of it all, he’s someone who’s trying to not be X, someone who’s distancing himself from that life and trying to be someone he’s not.
For example, one of the things I love about subterfuge’s lyrics is that 2017x constantly sounds desperate, he’s practically asking for reassurance that he’s sonic and his broken face design only adds to it as he’s literally getting his identity and delusion shattered.
It’s so simple but really complex and it sucks how he’s just been dumbed down to freaky sonic or just another faker form for X for some reason when in actuality he’s probably one of the more unique exe to have been written as of recent.
#yapping#maybe i’m just restating already known facts#but surprisingly i’ve just seen ways he’s been interpreted before and thought#he would NOT do that??#minor nitpick but it’s whatever#also the whole deluded themselves into thinking they’re sonic#is not new#but out of the other takes i just find the case with 2017x more satisfying#and good character-wise if that makes sense..#ougg i’m rambling woops#sonic.exe

i got almost all the next month's updates sketched! i'm not doing the last one simply because i am feeling the burn out of composing these pages. (each have at least 6 pages, a good amount have the max 12!)
that said, these are all just sketched. i want to do it in this order: backgrounds -> lineart -> transcript. i got other projects i need to work on (winning hat and NightFell) so I can't really guarantee when Tag will start to update again.
#ooc#for context i do have all the story beats planned aside from one specific character arc which i'm unsure what to do for yet#but otherwise i know who gets the focus where and what would loosely be discussed when#so tag is in a good spot writing wise but the loose nature of it makes scene to scenes both free and fun to make BUT#also makes me unsure of where its going and i won't really get the full sense of the scope of a scene until after the fact#for example this month of updates were planned at work so i had a detailed outline in mind but even that got like reworked as i made it.#for extra contrast on the scale of planning vs no plans#nightfell is meticulously planned and then created and then scrapped and reworked over and over and thats the whole process#meanwhile winning hats i have like. a loose character arc in mind for each character and a big scene or two in mind.#but thats it. each chapter i'll have some ideas spawned from making the previous but anything goes when making the chapter itself#so like in THEORY i love planning and i fully embrace it and think its so so so so important.#with AFR i benefited heavily when i planned things in detail! made a world of difference! but with these ISAT projects they work better on#the fly? maybe its the comedy nature maybe its me enjoying how idk whats going to happen just as much as the audience its like#idk its like im a fan of my own work so i get to enjoy it the same way the audience does lol. its fun#SORRY BUT IM NOT ACTUALLY SORRY FOR RAMBLING IM BEING POLITE ABOUT IT

Something I think is cute is that - y’know how Raph’s eyes are more on the yellow side?
Well, you know who also has slightly yellowed eyes? Donnie.
While Raph’s are more yellow, I think it’s cute that this is something that they share and I don’t see it pointed out too often?
It’s also something they both share with Draxum and Splinter’s current form (though again, these two have much more yellow sclera than the boys do.)
But yeah, I like that there’s this little detail that ties Raph and Donnie together, even if it’s small.
#rottmnt#rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#rottmnt raph#rottmnt donnie#rise donnie#rise raph#there are a few screenshots that look like Donnie’s eyes were colored more white like Leo and Mikey#but the vast majority has his eyes and teeth yellowed a little#not quite to Raph’s level but enough to be noticeable especially when you contrast it to Mikey Leo and April#I see a lot of art on here not giving Donnie his yellowed sclera and it makes me sad a little#bc Mikey and Leo have soooo many things tying them together design wise (mainly their shells)-#so its nice to keep the things tying Raph and Donnie together as well (their sclera + how THEIR shells are both basically just green)#(+ how even when Donnie makes his battleshells he keeps them one color - just like Raph’s shell)#I’m looking too hard into this but Brains and Brawn is a Good Duo#you could also - considering the show’s theme of giving the less ‘human’ characters more yellowed sclera- consider this design decision-#-a way to show that Mikey and Leo are species of turtles more acclimated to humans since their breeds are very often pets (esp Leo)#whereas Raph and Donnie are species that are more commonly just left in the wild#idk I just think it’s an interesting design decision tbh#esp considering you can see this human acclimation from the very start with the boys as well#with how readily Mikey and Leo interact with Splinter#whereas Raph bites and Donnie is completely disinterested#i like when their species has an effect on their characters tbh#like how Leo being the Face Man makes perfect sense since Red Eared Sliders are the most popular pet turtle BECAUSE they’re pretty-#-and better with people than most other species#Mikey too being so gung-ho about people makes sense for these same reasons#as ornate box turtles as well are very popular pet turtles#idk they’re just fun I love these guys#also- I love when people give Raph a huge tail it’s so cute

I hate that Tai cheated on Simone, mainly because of when she did, their status at the time and how Simone was.
Like yeah sure, they were mainly separated by that time and would've inevitably be going through a divorce since Tai did not get help, but my main issue is the fact that she is cheating on Simone while she's in a coma. That Tai caused!
Like, am I shocked? No, I knew it was gonna happen (both through spoilers, and it was obvious in the text). Am I happy? No! Simone and Sammy deserve better. Was their make out well done, and the actresses (Tawny and Lauren) also have a lot of chemistry? Yes. Do the actresses Tawny and Rukiya also have chemistry? Yes, but in a different way.
#van is a whole different mess for me to say she does or doesn't deserve better#and tai while i can feel for the reasons that leaf to you breaking up with van in the first placr#this is still a massive dick move to your family#a proper destruction and running away from it#so yeah fuck you#they deserve better#and you two deserve each other#said with love cause this is a good narrative choice and makes sense character wise#yellowjackets#taissa turner#tai turner#simone abara#van palmer#taivan#tai x van#taissa and simone#sammy abara turner#yj s2#tawny cypress#lauren ambrose#rukiya bernard

i’ve been thinking about the myth of the ‘perfect victim’ and how it’s sadly not a myth. not because perfect victims exist, but because people believe they should. way too many ppl hold onto the idea that there’s a ‘right’ way to respond to trauma—and if a victim doesn’t respond that way, they’re seen as tainted or undeserving of empathy. if a character reacts ‘wrong’—maybe goes so far as to break the status quo or social norms (especially in situations that call back to their trauma)—they’re stained in the eyes of fandom. basically, real people don’t like when fictional victims are messy, proactive, or take control. it’s a kind of purity culture where it’s taboo to try, to fail, or to be morally complicated and still worthy of care. so, the myth of the perfect victim really boils down to ‘there is a way you should react’ ‘stay a victim’ ‘don’t upset the systems that hurt you’ ‘we hate people who go against social norms’
#im a bit tired so i hope my thoughts make sense#saw a good post on sansa and that got me thinking about the spectrum of the myth and where sansa falls on it#some ppl definitely try to frame sansa as the “better victim” (i don’t actually agree that something like this exists btw)#and use it as a reason as to why she deserves more than a or b character#and then it’s more insidiously weaponized to use to support theories like “mad dany” or “cold blooded killer arya”#but then others go the opposite way and hate sansa for not reacting “right”#like how sansa unfairly blaming arya for lady’s death means some ppl don’t sympathize w her grief entirely#a post for me#i swearrr im working on asoiaf content and not just reacting to the fandom#the thing im working on is just gonna be rly rly rlyyyy long 🙂↕️#edit: it’s also a case of sansa being compared to dany/arya/jon/tyrion when sansa’s peers are actually bran/brienne/arianne#to be clear sansa and bran are two of the most important characters in the book but imo they’re more easily comparable to brienne+arianne#<-morality wise. i hope that makes sense? i obviously think sansa and bran are just as important as dany/jon/arya/tyrion *~*#gosh i still feel like im not explaining well. well whatever ://

When you think about it the Arcobaleno are Verde's handlers. A job neither one of them wanted, especially Verde, but someone had to do it.
I mean look at Verde.
If left to his own devices for too long he will create something insane like the anti-trininesette formula. Not even on purpose. He just fucked around and found out. Or at least that's the impression I got from the anime.
To keep things like this from happening at least one Arcobaleno checks in with him daily. In person. If they call he's just going to hide it.
There isn't any real schedule for who visits him when. It's mostly if you're free and in the area do it. It winds up being Lal and Fon most of the time.
Which is for the best. Out of all the Arcobaleno these two are the ones who can keep Verde grounded/stop his experiments from getting out of hand.
You'd think Verde would hate this, and tbh he does, but he also loves it. Not that he'd admit that. It keeps him on his toes and challenges him to think of ways to surprise them. As well as helps him to think of ways to hide things better.
The worst Arcobaleno to watch him is shockingly not Skull, but Mammon. Why? Because Mammon can smell a good business opportunity and Verde has sold his soul for less. If he's able to work on what he wants then he doesn't really care how much he makes from it. Especially if he's too caught up in what he's doing. Hell, he's probably pulling from his own pockets...
So yeah to avoid Verde pulling a box weapons disaster 2.0, Mammon and Verde can NOT be left alone. Ever! Verde is too bad a businessman to be trusted with the esper. And Mammon knows how to scam people too well.
(That said, that does NOT mean I head canon Mammon being behind the bad business decisions that were mentioned as having been made with the box weapons during Future Arc. That's on Koenig, Innocenti, and Verde tbh)
#I wrote this while getting my hair done yesterday#Verde's flaws are probably one of the most interesting things to think about#like he's smart af but that doesn't make him wise#he will in fact do stupid ship#it's just not the same stupid shit that someone Skull would do (/affectionate)#i love smart characters who do dumb stuff#also I just like the idea of Mammon manipulating Verde#i think he's more easy to manipulate than you'd think#like he has common sense until someone brings up something he finds interesting#then you better hope you have something even more interesting to combat that#something I think Fon is actually really good at#I should probably do a post about that sometime#i will say Fon knows how manipulate Verde so well#the anime gave me two seconds of this and now I have brain rot#I'll probably do a post about that at some point#katekyo hitman reborn verde#katekyo hitman reborn#khr#khr verde#arcobaleno#khr arco/arco

Clemont is just really funny in general i think. he's just like that, realistically theres so much to unpack about him;
he made an entire invention where he spoke to the mayor and was spread out across the town of the uni he was in which he got in at the age of maybe like 8.
he's a gym leader. he lost his gym to his invention,
there was the slightest chance he could've been mind controlled.
his bag is a bag of holding
he can't run
his entire mental state is the way it is because of a single mistake that wasn't even his fault
There's so much to unpack about him and the creators were like; "yeah anyways!"
okay but seriously, i think we as a fandom neglect the fact that if it wasn't for Clemont's anxious(???) paranoid(???) quick thinking(???) overly prepared(???) he probably he would've gotten mind controlled. like what was up with that.
-⚡(you can call me clem anon! its also just really funny and the fact that i've so far only exclusively talked about him makes it even funnier. electric anon is okay too !)
Clemont is his own bag of holding lol, there really is SO MUCH with him and I'm shaking you on the shoulders rn clem nonnie. Please. How is it possible that there is so much to him as it is. I need to study him under a microscope.
With the first point, that always made me laugh in a way lol. Him at the age of possibly eight created a power source slash Electric Pokemon recharger for a whole town/city. The mayor has noticed his efforts. This is before he is a Gym Leader, and this is the place where he made the promise to Shinx (a promise that he broke, not by any fault of his own, but by the very thing that brought them together in the first place).
The way he actually just straight up lived in Prism Tower, or at least that's how it felt, along with Bonnie. Their father is in the same city with a house but they won't bother with that and he doesn't bother them until they are MIA for at the very least a few weeks if not months. His reasoning for being a Gym Leader is to wield Electric Types from every region and become an Electric-Type Trainer that the world has never seen. The fact that he can be this ambitious with battling gets me (and also his learning from school carrying over c':)
His bag is also a mechanical marvel (not Volcanion, sorry). His Aipom Arm has only malfunctioned once (1 time), and he's easily able to lift Bonnie into the air with it. Also we never see this beyond the first ep but it has an inflatable airbag??? That is actually safe and comfortable to land on even with the everything in his bag as it is.
Even after the whole series and after everything they've ever went through, he still cannot run. Only one time he has ever sprinted ahead (in this realm/dimension) and that was to get to a festival about Zapdos of all Pokemon (and maybe that inventing fair as well??). No one comments on it beyond that one moment. He's also tried to make shoes to help him go up hills quicker but he never tried that one again lol (he forgot he even had it until Serena mentions the monorail, in which also, wow. this gang i swear).
That's actually one of the saddest parts (and something I can totally relate with). The way that we see him so happy and open with Shinx beforehand, ready to learn and be hands on and playing outside even with all the work that he had. And then we hear about how he lost his Gym, how his Pokemon disregard his words and his invention doesn't see him as worthy or strong enough, and it really is him just living out a nightmare of his own making in a way. His fear from back then keeps haunting him with the mistakes that he makes now, and even after meeting with Luxio again you can see the way he just... accepts that he's no longer wanted or forgiven. He's fine with it. He rather everyone have a better life than he does. Just,, he needs a hug. Lots of them.
HELP PLS you've said exactly what I've been thinking off this whole time!! Geez, I thought I was alone in thinking that we brush off whatever happened to Clemont in 'The Needs of Many!' like I get that we lose Greninja, but hello? He got straight-up kidnapped right in front of our eyes! He was going to be made into a superhuman (which has some very very worrying connotations beyond what is already happening). He too was blasted by the Mega Evo Energy, and even if he did resist the mind control, there's got to be other effects as well. If his friends weren't OP and reckless as they were he would've actually been carted away to who knows where and it would've been a matter of time until his preventive measures were found out. And the way he already had a counter against it, against the beam specifically (and for it to be able to work without any issues) is also so sad and worrying in a way?? It's definitely paranoia to me, it was very specific (more than usual, anyways), small enough to hide and easy enough for him to grab. Poor boy :(( I need to just sit down and think every time I remember this is an ep that exists because they just went ham with it, didn't they??
#wooo clem (/electric) anon it is!! such a powerful title btw you've just claimed ownership of a whole character lol :P#also 'so far'?? this means that you may go on to branch out beyond clem and that scares as well as intrigues me /lh :3c#apparently bonnie knew that he evolved heliolisk with a sun stone but hasn't seen evo until the spewpa ep gets me#clem also has that ds map thing that looks very similar to what cilan had i think#i mean he's also quick-thinking and overly prepared but he did not miss a beat with the whole thing#i'm constantly thinking of this ep btw. easily one of the strangest and scariest imo#find it also weird bc of course it's adapting the games with xerosic trying to make a superhuman post-xy#but (a) he hates clem and it was targetted (b) obvs the beam and (c) no looker (or emma) :(#but ig the hardest part for me is just that the anime makes xerosic completely irredemable. he's down bad for lys's ambitions#while in the games he's just there to be there. instead it's malva who's all for lysandre and his dreams (yeah they swapped)#i have no idea if i should keep them anime-wise (which means so much tweaking! and also very hard to get emma in then)#or lean more game-wise. because they are very much opposites#but also old men having beef with clem is very funny lol#like i still remember dark clembot guy. what was his deal?? i mean i doubt many ppl even know anything about it#anyways back to clem. i find that his reason to be a gym leader to be a lot more self-serving than i would've expected#yeah he wants to be good as a trainer but what about other trainers? being a gym leader means testing them#not just testing yourself. if he really wanted that he could've just struck out on his own#but it is easier to stay in one place and let challengers come to you#still. makes sense why he burnt out so easily on that end. and made a robot to fixate on challengers in such a way too#to make up for his own disinterest in them#LOOK i can get to the whole clembot thing later. i'm like 3 fics away then you can see me all ramble to death about it#because i've got a million thoughts on it#sadly the whole luxio ep is going to be a million light years away :/#we don't get much fo a timeline for clem so we don't know much about him#but presumably he got all of his gym mons after leaving shinx#and also at some point in his life he helped make the power plant???#i can never get out of my head how he just dives in front of ash to take luxio's thunder fang point-blank#(i mean he's learning off ash but i don't think that's the right thing to learn heh)#and the way he tells her 'i'll be your grounding' like AUGH? my heart? is there even a point? (the way he'll take anything from her)#anyways got too many thoughts about him. have barely scatched the surface as it is lol

Your ghost vault propaganda inspired me to watch the first season in dominion and. I think Legundo irl left that vault and had a panic attack. His shivers were timbered. Viking was unhinged to exactly one person and it PAYED OFF. God damn.
NO FOR REAL ITS SUCH AN EXPERIENCE. like it's a known fact that The Voice(tm) does in fact actually scare Legundo IRL and Viking just. he's so GOOD at turning it on and off at unstable intervals
i think a lot about that scene though actually, because piglin 'Gundo is a fascinating character in his own right and is not a fully morally upstanding guy, and something i think is interesting is like. the entire time he's freaked the hell out and this doesn't exactly go away later in the scene, but i feel like you can see something just click in Legundo when Viking hands him that IOU back and it's so. gods. he goes from totally out of his depth to a lot more calm and almost a little dismissive once that IOU is back in his hands and Viking no longer has that total leverage. it's nothing short of fascinating.
just. in general. that's such a good scene. all the Ghost's Vault scenes are golden, and S2 of Dominion has some utter bangers if you're the type to backwatch VODs.
all this is to say! glad you enjoyed! :DDD
#it is maybe heretical of me to say this but the initial IOU reveal is actually my fave unhinged viking scene#just because it comes so out of LEFT FIELD and you can see it absolutely BLINDSIDE legundo as he realizes viking is Unstable#and like. from viking’s pov his descent into insanity makes total sense. he spent the past 3 episodes Dealing With Taneesha#but for Legundo it really is this sudden gut drop of ''oh god. what have i gotten myself into.'' and it OWNS#i think character wise pigundo must be HYPERaware of the fact that viking watched the other dominioners before becoming physical#in a way where suddenly with viking being Unsafe he remembers everything viking could know about him#god. its so FUCKING good.#something something to quote pigundo talking about viking:#''when he laughs like that do you get the feeling that hes going to murder(*) us all?''#''(*)protect'' in vikings subtitles. gahhhhhh#yt#ask#orig#anonymous#dominioners#dominion smp

#;ooc#ooc#venchu staring off the distance-#i dont have high graphics but even then u can get the vibes-#god i love p.enacony so much; it gives me such aura- the vibes are SO good; impecable#the music too; its so relaxing;; luxurious-#i think s.tar r.ail peaked so much with it; like the next part must be really REALLY good in order to top it for me#i love when 'arcs'/areas in game have these very distinctive aesthetics/vibes in the sense of;;#where u could follow the design principles and come up with something coherent that perfectly fits the place#which is what i feel like n.atlan in g.enshin kind of missed#and why a lot of the characters look completely separated from n.atlan#like you can get a feeling when u see charas like l.yney; l.ynette; f.urina; n.euvi that they come from the same time and area#they follow such a clean cohesion that even when their designs are distinguishable and different from each other ; you can get the vibe sti#which btw im always up for things that fall out of the box; bc things arent always so rigid and 'fitting'#but i dunno;; n.atlan was such an all over the place area still; that the differences didnt feel enriching and engaging#and this isnt about the usual yadayada about m.avuika's motorcycle like im done with seeing that argument#i mean the -general- lineup; including looks/personalities/kits; all#anyways whatever what do i even know#bc even if n.atlan wasnt my cup of tea; maybe to someone else its their fav region u see#like how sometimes i dont vibe with n.asu's stuff; but other people do; thats just how tastes are#;delete later#dl#i dont tend to vibe with those strict unwavering labels that sometimes people impose; sometimes they can be very restrictive creative wise#but in my experience; having a -base- root/concept can help the inmersion and meaning behind things a lot#and it becomes an overall more memorable thing#like from knowing that base; you can expand and branch out and still make it feel engaging and new and different

when you get so bored you start reading fanfic for a ship from a game you know nothing about just as generic stories but the game sounds actually sort of interesting, and then when you look it up on tumblr it seems like the ship are actually sort of just like that in canon and theyre not just being shipped for the sake of shipping something. how has this happened twice now
#i mean i probably wont play this game though its not my sort of thing gameplay wise#cause it seems like you cant just pirate it and if you want to play properly you have to pay in game or get annoyed at it not working#and too focussed on video game mechanics instead of story. probably something id have liked as a kid minus costing money#the worldbuilding looks fairly interesting though and the plot and characters#the character designs are even pretty fun. like more fancy and combat focussed like stuff i used to be into#before becoming an adult and consuming media about lawyers and detectives and that sort of dry stuff#i tried not limiting it by fandom first but there was too many i didnt want to read so i went with a game id heard of#and then ended up with that ship cause i liked the dynamic so it sort of makes sense that theyd actually have a significant#relationship in canon#a big thing that ruins fanfic for me is the mischaracterisation and stuff im like it could be a good story#if it didnt claim to be ablut these characters and keep referencing that#ive read enough fanfic for this ship im basically starting to get a feel for whats mischaracterisation anyway#the settings sort of funny its fantasy ancient modern iraq if it was ruled by a giant university which was also the government#and people took uni colleges way too seriously. but the game has lots of different settings#and for fantasy japan apparently they reference actual real life sakoku policy
