“They’re talking shit” manifesting technique
Or
“Let them talk shit” Method
So this is the technique that I used, and still currently use as an over-thinker to manifest my desired reality and maintain my desired mental state.
So back in college, I was insecure. The type of insecure, where if I hung out with friends and then I left the room, only thing that would be racing through my mind would be the idea of them talking about me behind my back. Like Just talking the most shit and calling me out of my name. Granted these are the types of friends I had back then, I now know better.
So here was the pattern :
Every time I left the room, and I felt insecure about something I had just said or done, I would imagine them saying bad things about me or finding me weird of off putting. The things I would imagine them saying, would break my heart. So I put a stop to it.
And I recognized those people were not in the room with me and I was using my imagination to hurt myself .
I could have been imagining them saying anything because I have that power and I’m choosing to see them saying most terrible things about me. So, I made the decision to imagine them still talking shit, but this time it was about all the good things I wanted.
( you have to keep the same hater energy when you do this btw)
Example:
“Who does she think she is? Just because she has a great body and works out and is always in a happy state of being. She think she’s better than us. 😒. she think she’s rich too. She only has about $100,000 in her bank account. The rest is tied up in the stock market and crypto currency. So she technically doesn’t even have that much money. 🙄”
“ she wants to be an influencer sooo bad .ugh, So what if your YouTube channel grew by 200,000 subs in less than 3 weeks and you’re getting amazing sponsorship oppertunities. So what bitch you ain’t pewdie pie. You don’t even have 1,000,000 subs yet . Pipe down”
So in those examples, I just affirmed a reality where:
- I great healthy body
- im in a happy/content state of being
- $100,000 in in my bank account
-I have plentiful bountiful investments/crypto currency
-my YouTube channel successful
-I’m getting great sponsorship opportunities
And because I used other people to affirm those for me, it’s a stronger self concept/reality. Because I’m affirming it in, first person, third person and second person( by default).
This technique works with any “negative” dominating emotion.
So if you were anxious or have anxious dominant feelings. Start affirming, anxious thoughts that you would WANT to have.
For example:
“I hope my professor doesn’t hate me for being more educated/smarter on the subject than he is 😭. Like I get he spent years in school studying this stuff, but it comes easy to me and surpass his expertise every time without fail. I hope he doesn’t think I’m trying to show him up😰”
“ I hope the bank doesn’t get suspicious about how much money I’ve been depositing into my account. 😥Plus I’ve been getting so much money this year from random sources, in such large amounts, I’m kind of worried that the IRS is going to get involved and make filing my taxes a little complicated this year.☹️”
So, in those two short sentences, you just affirm that
you’re smart,
you’re doing well in the class, and
you’ve been getting large amounts of money throughout the year, from expected and unexpected sources.
Remember if you want it, you can get it. Try “under-thinking” , it’s easier than you’d expect. No matter what state you are in. If you were able to tell a consistent story about how you want to be, you’re good.
* when I use the word “negative”, I’m talking about the words you are using to describe the situation. Because by default every situation is neutral. It doesn’t become positive or negative until you choose to assign it a value .
Don’t force yourself to be happy, force your thoughts to tell a better story. One that wouldn’t mind living out and experience. And the only except thoughts that affirmed the reality that you want. From any angle. You have to learn when and how to work with your emotions. Emotions are only bad if you identify them as bad.
When you come up with any other examples, please, I would love to hear them. share them with me.

adhd is one hell of a drug. i'll do something relatively well on the first try and suddenly the goblin in my brain is like "should we make a career out of this?"
#accidentally posted this to a community page instead of my blog at first woops#i'm trying to purge my brain of the capitalist mindset that everything i enjoy and/or am good at needs to be monetized#anyway i tried my hand at writing fanfic for the first time in over a decade and honestly it was not nearly as bad as i thought it would be#i will probably never publish it but maybe i will#who knows#either way it was cathartic and definitely a self esteem boost to know that i could do it kind of decently#neurodivergence#grayposting

"Why bother with Fedi if there's no built-in monetization?"
Have you considered that maybe this "monetize everything" mindset has been making large parts of the internet and society worse?

Also I would take this to it is not always healthy make your hobby a "Treatment." Like people say to just keep prefoming your hobbies instead of just staying in a rut, but long term I've had it basically turn into another chore, with all the same associated negativity that came from trying to make art a job earlier in my life. Like even when I stop being too depressed to enjoy my hobbies I am 10x more likely to have to fight my adhd about doing them, because my brain has been conditioned to sort them into the same pile as something like housework.
Even if I don't have any expectations behind posting art anymore, I ended up putting too many expections on the actual act of making art as an experience, which ended up in the same kind of burnout.
You’ve heard of “don’t monetize your hobbies”; get ready for "don’t master your hobbies".
Your hobbies are here to help you decompress and have fun. They do not have to be disciplines you toil over for expertise, unless that is something you genuinely enjoy doing.
It’s okay to enjoy language-learning without ever becoming fluent, or even conversational. It’s okay to like playing guitar even if you only know a few clumsy songs. You can read books and never finish them, bowl without ever scoring even halfway to perfect. We’re here to explore and play, and we cannot do that if we’re chasing perfection in everything we do.
#idk what the solution here is for me I'm pretty sure I'm just fucked#but I really wish it was acknowledged that this is a double edged sword in the same way the monetizing thing is#like joy has been medicalized into wellness and fun is a behavior goal and its sterilized the meaning away#sometimes you Preform The Correct Action for years and instead of it changing your mindset it just burns you out worse

This is your sign to stop shrinking.

Nami: It's nice to see you at school, Cora chan.. but is it okay not to hide yourself?
Cora: Yeah, there's no reason to...
Since the family found out.
I'll be coming to school, but for the time being I'll be under personal guidance of the teachers.
I'm neither a 2nd year, nor a 3rd year... more like a 2.5th year. A non-existent class, basically.
Chopper: What does it mean?
Cora: It means 'taking it easy', Dr. Chopper.
Chopper: Calling me Dr Chopper doesn't make me happy at all, you fool~! 🌸
Law: My class is still there, so no worries, even if Doflamingo pops up!
Usopp:....
Cora: The incident this time is only known to Sengoku san, Tsuru san, and Kuzan san.
I caused them trouble, again...
Also,
Cora: Everyone, thanks a lot! For helping me out with Doffy.
Zoro: Getting thanked for kicking out older brother sure is something.
Sanji: Ah, if you really want to thank someone, just thank this guy 👇🏻
Luffy: Mm?
Corao, so you can take that thing off your head!
Cora: I thought I'm a person who shouldn't be coming to the school.
Of course, there's the thing with Doffy, but I also feel like I was escaping from everything...
That's why, being here...It feels strange.
It makes me think I want to meet you at the school, Straw hat ya.
Luffy: How about meeting Mingo?
Cora: Doffy won't be coming to school.
Luffy: Why?
Cora: 'Cause he has no use for it.
From now on, the conflict with bad guys in this city would only worsen. And Doffy spins around at the center. He's not coming here.
Luffy: I think he will be coming to school.
Cora: He will, when Oni Middle comes to wreck this school.
Random man: Do-
Cora: ?

"IT'S DOFLAMINGO!!!!"
Cora: Doffy?!
Doflamingo: Haah?
Law: NO WAY.
Luffy: See? He came.
[End! part 2 on April 19th!]
One Piece Academy Chapter 45: Brothers part 1 (Quick translation)
source | translation index
Wouldn't you like to enjoy the best school life, invited by a cheerful Spring?
"Corazon"
"Rosinante"
"Corao"
"Cora chan"
"Cora san"
Young Doffy: Rosi..
Cora: *GASPS*
Cora: Huff.. Huff...
....
Luffy: *groowwl~*
Cora: Straw hat ya...!
*sliide*
Sengoku: ROSINANTE...!
Sanji, Zoro, Usopp: Bwaah!!
Cora: Sengoku san?! And you guys...
!
Law:✌🏻
Cora: Law!
Law: Two days, it's been two days since then.
[And then, The next day...]
[New World Middle School downtown Shopping Mall]
Nami: Seriously...
How could an undercover mission end up like that?
Usopp: Don't say that, let me tell you about the story of me sending back the enemy's main forces...
Zoro: How did your side go, with Oni Middle?
Nami: The meeting from our side was held at a warehouse by the Port.
Vivi: Kaido, and the three "All-Stars..."
Coby: And executives called Tobi Roppo... we confirmed all of their presence.
Franky: Yamato wasn't there, though.
Robin: The zoom-zoom noise from the man named Queen didn't let us hear the conversation, but....
Brook:. It seemed their meeting this time was to boost everyone's morale.
Nami: But there's one thing that we didn't understand.
Usopp: Eh?
Nami: Vergo sensei was present there.
[Introduction Box: New World Middle School, Vergo sensei]
Sanji: He came to teach us one day when Aokiji sensei was having a day off, didn't he...
Nami: And that's where it became strange. Just when we thought he'd take a seat,
he put on student's uniform!
Robin: After exchanging greetings with Oni Middle's executives, he handed over some documents.
And then...
"I get it, Doffy"
We heard him mutter these words.
Sanji: "Doffy"? A connection with Doflamingo?
Robin: That's a possibility. To be precise, he could be one of Doflamingo's executives, living in the guise of a teacher.
Usopp: WHAT??
Zoro: A student? As a teacher??
Coby: Let's ask Doflamingo next time when Corazon san heals up!
!
Cora: Yo, everyone!
Luffy: CORAO!!
Usopp: Doing good already?
Cora: Yep! Thanks to Law.
What about you guys? No class?
Nami: Aokiji sensei told us to self study. And to take a look outside the school building.
Cora: Sounds like Kuzan san, alright...
Continues in Reblog ⬇️
#one piece translations#oh the satisfaction#seeing cora and law completely failing to read doffy while luffy keeps reading him like an open book#that aside cora is insanely relatable#from 'I totally understand my sibling cause they're my sibling' to the escapism mindset#where's monet btw#also. I've been thinking if the reason behind cora painting his lips across his cheeks is him being clumsy to make it precise hm#A COLLECTIVE “YOU'RE VERY WELCOME” TO EVERYONE TOO thank you for reading the translations!!

Ruler of the 2nd through the houses
when you track the ruler of the 2nd house through the houses, you’re looking at how you make money, where your values lie, what you prioritize, and what brings you a sense of security and self-worth.
1st House 🏡:
I am the resource.
Your body, presence, or identity is a source of value. You might attract wealth through personal branding, entrepreneurship, or just being YOU. Confidence = currency. You naturally radiate value, but must learn to own it.
2nd House 🏡:
Born to build.
This is a powerful placement for money, stability, and long-term growth. You naturally know how to build wealth and manage your resources. You’re probably very grounded and value quality over quantity. Shadow side hoarding, fear of change, or stubbornness.
3rd House 🏡:
Money through the mind.
Your voice, ideas, or communication skills are your goldmine. You might make money through writing, teaching, media, or even tech. You value curiosity, mental stimulation, and versatility. Prone to having scattered energy or difficulty monetizing ideas. Your Strength = quick thinking, adaptability, networking = resource magnet.
4th House 🏡:
Home is the foundation of wealth.
You could inherit money, make money through property, or work from home. Emotional security and family support directly affect your money flow. Your values are deeply rooted in your upbringing.
5th House 🏡:
Creative currency.
You attract money through self-expression, creativity, pleasure, or even romance. Think artists, performers, designers — or people who monetize their passions. You value joy, fun, and being seen. Shadow side here = risky money behavior; tying worth to external validation.
6th House 🏡:
Work = worth.
You build wealth slowly and steadily through dedicated effort, skill development, and service. You might work in healing, wellness, administration, or service industries. You value discipline and reliability. Overworking or tying self-worth to productivity may be a problem for you. Relax and give urself grace.
7th House 🏡:
Money through others.
Your values and income may come through partnerships, collaborations, or clients. Business and romantic relationships affect your money deeply. You value harmony, balance, and reciprocity. Be careful of falling into financial dependency or people-pleasing around money.
8th House 🏡:
The wealth alchemist.
You’re drawn to shared resources, investments, and transformative wealth. You might make money through occult work, finance, psychology, or sex-related fields. Power, trust, and depth play a big role in your money story.
9th House 🏡:
Expand to receive.
You attract abundance through travel, teaching, spirituality, law, or publishing. You value freedom, knowledge, and growth. Belief systems around wealth are HUGE here — mindset is everything.
10th House 🏡:
Public success = personal wealth.
You may gain money and security through career, status, or reputation. You value ambition, recognition, and doing something that matters. This placement often pushes you toward visible leadership or high positions.
11th House 🏡:
Money through the collective.
You earn through networks, innovation, tech, or social causes. Think online businesses, group work, or digital platforms. You value progress, originality, and future-oriented thinking. Be careful of being overreliance on external validation or digital platforms. Your unique ideas, group alignment, big-picture wealth building is where it’s at.
12th House 🏡:
Mystical money flow.
This is the most non-linear placement. You may make money through spiritual work, healing, art, or behind-the-scenes roles. Money may come and go mysteriously, and your values are more ethereal than material.

how to stack ur pretty doll dollars⋆.ೃ࿔*:・💵🎀

a lot of us grew up thinking money was the root of all evil and that money was something that was stressful, selfish and vain. but u need to change the narrative, money is freedom, power, and pretty once u stop fearing it. this is how im stacking my pretty doll dollars…💬🎀
WHAT IS YOUR VISION ;
what are u stacking ur doll dollars for? for luxury? for freedom? security? sometimes its a mix of a whole bunch of reasons but just jot down a couple reasons why stacking ur doll dollars is IMPORTANT to you. its easier to stay committed to a goal when u have a reason.
journaling and creating a vision board can help you visualize ur goals and bring them to life. as someone who practices the law of assumption, the way that u talk and think about a specific thing is how you'll continue to experience it which is what i'll touch on a bit more in this post.
once you've created the vision you'll need a budget to match the vision, not just the bills that ur dealing with in the current time. think "the bigger picture" what are we working towards. and budget not to restrict but to give every doll dollar a job which is what we're talking about in the next section.
GIVE EVERY DOLL DOLLAR A JOB ;
make a cute budgeting page on ur notion or find a cute budgeting app/spreadsheet with pretty pinks and creams and something that totally matches ur vibe. if something is pretty to look at i feel like im 99% more likely to use it and i'll enjoy working in it more.
create cute categories for funds to put ur money into. think of every dollar as an employee that is here to work FOR you and your dreams. make categories that are suited to you. some of my basic ones are :
weekly fund (what i have to spend during a week)
business fund (what i invest into either my business or put into different things like stocks, real estate, dividends and the money that will work for me)
glam fund (a non-negotiable for me, the money i put aside for my maintenance for my beauty)
savings (i don't keep my money in a regular savings account because most reg savings accounts don't earn very good interest, instead i put my money into a HYA or high yields savings account)
i use betterment for my high yields savings account because theres no minimum deposit so you can start with literally $5, AND betterment has an interest rate of 4% which is really good…💬🎀
WEEKLY MONEY RITUALS ;
have a day where u have a money check in. light a candle, open ur planner and go over spendings and savings and all things like that. track whats going out and whats coming in and whats growing for you without fear or anxiety bcuz everything works itself out for u and ur literally abundance personified. (thats the kinda mindset we need to have towards money)
check if ur making progress with ur goals, if what you're doing is effective and do some research too! part of being a doll who stacks her money is staying educated so keep urself in the loop and take knowledge bcuz it's so important.
KNOW YOUR SPENDING POWER ;
i won't get tewww into this because i have LOADS of content about shopping smart and intentionally but i'll reiterate cuz it is TRUE. buy what lasts. don't go for the cheap shit cuz in the long run it won't last, don't buy knock-off, time ur spending strategically for sales so u can get the most for your dollar.
ask yourself, will this add value to my routine? is this on brand for me? do i really actually want this? practicing delayed gratification is always a helpful tool. to save for luxury instead of impulse hauls.
DREAMY INCOME STREAMS ;
get ur moneyyyy girl. there are literally so many ways that u can make money and making good money does NOT have to be hard either. u can make content, u can babysit, u can start an etsy, u can sell digital goods and SO much more.
monetize on ur talents, look around at ur resources. what do u have RIGHT now that u can do something with. bcuz stacking ur doll dollars doesn't mean overworking urself, it doesn't necessarily even mean working rly hard. it means working SMART.
SAVE SMART ;
on ur banking app, automate ur savings so it grows on autopilot. i've already gone into why having a high yields savings account is more fruitful than a regular degular savings account. another way to save smart is with a savings challenge. for example putting aside $5 a day to ur vacation fund. treat saving as pampering ur future self and making sure that shes good and doesn't have to worry about anything.
to close off : u don't need to be wealthy to think like ur wealthy. ur supposed to have the mindset before u have the bank account to match. keep ur thoughts in check, stacking ur doll dollars is about control, confidence, MINDSET, and creating a life where you're comfortable one pretty girl coin at a time…💬🎀

Venus in houses and how you might create your music
Hi again! Do you remember when I said that my previous post could be the last one? This was just a joke. Hahaha! Never mind, welcome to my second astrology observation about Venus! This time I'm going to write about how can you create your own music through Venus in houses from you natal charts. This observation might be great for someone who wants to be musician. This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I was working on something else and I was too tired later on. This observation can apply for both western and vedic astrology. Again, if you resonate with this observation, take it. If it doesn't, leave it, this might be for someone else then. But nonetheless, enjoy it!
Venus in the 1st house: I think that you guys with this placement can be inspired about your own life while creating music. Of course, it all depends on your Rising sign/Ascendant. The 1st house represents our personality, body, self and our life path, so you might make music that is related to your overall life or that is tied to your persona. You may create all of the music on your own, 'cause 1st house is associated with being independent too, but it doesn't have to be the case for all of you. It seems to me that you can basically live your music or you already live music in general. Your discography could be your autobiography, period.
Venus in the 2nd house: You may value music a lot and you may prefer to make music that is valuable, since the 2nd house does represent values. The 2nd house is also related to the business and money, so you might have this business mindset when it comes to creating music or you can make the type of music that gives you money. I think this is a great placement to monetize your artistic abilities in general. Since the 2nd house also represents the throat, which is related to singing voice, I feel that people with this placement prioritize their vocals over anything. It reminds me of singers who just come to the studio and record already made song/demo, written and produced by someone else and I don't think that's a bad thing at all.
Venus in the 3rd house: This house rules over the communication and self-expression, which means that you can express yourself through the music easily. Your mind is very creative with this placement. You may focus on writing skills while making your own music. Lyrics are first, and then there's ten blank spaces. You might write really beautiful songs about your life circumstances, but it depends in which sign your 3rd house is placed. The 3rd house is also associated with siblings and neighbors, which tells that you can create music with your brother or sister or just with people who are close to you. This placement can also indicate having multiple inspirations or ways to create music or write lyrics, because the 3rd house is being ruled by Gemini which is an air, mutable and dual sign like I just said in my previous post.
Venus in the 4th house: You can create music in your own house, since 4th house is related to home or a place which is familiar to us. When it comes to making you own music, you might work with your family member, especially with your mother who can help you and teach you how to make/write music. You may also have an innate talent from one of your parent or from both parents. Maybe you create music when you feel like it, because the 4th house represents emotions, so you don't force yourself doing anything related to music when you lack motivation or ideas. You may wait for idea to come to you first and then you start making stuff. This placement can indicate practicing traditional/old school ways of making music too.
Venus in the 5th house: My God, this is just a fun and creative placement! Seriously, you should practice any kind of art you want everyday if you have this placement in your natal chart. You might use music as a hobby or have a lot of ideas out of nowhere, because the 5th house is one of the most creative houses in astrology and is related to the entertainment. You can turn your hobbies into a career, especially if your Venus is your 10th house/MC ruler. But when it comes to creating your own music, your way of doing that could be a joyful experience and you can really have a lot of fun while making the music, 'cause you might see the music as a hobby. You can also make music with children, since the 5th house in associated with children if you like children as well.
Venus in the 6th house: This placement might not indicate a great talent of music or anything art related, 'cause the 6th house does represent our daily routines, 9-5 jobs and doing something that we don't like to do. But it doesn't mean there's no good side of this placement. You can be a type of musician who practice writing or production almost every day, which makes sense because this house basically represents something we do everyday. The good part is because you practice creating music/art everyday, you can become a better artist than someone who has a natural ability to create music. You may also make music about working class, 'cause that's what 6th house is all about. If you have this placement in your natal chart, I encourage you to do something creative everyday, 'cause there's a potential for you to become skilled in this field.
Venus in the 7th house: Venus is all about love, while the 7th house is about team work and partnerships, so they work well together. I feel that the best way to create you own music is working with others/collaborating and just being a team worker in general. I'm not saying that you can't do anything on your own, but if you struggle with making your music independently, then you should engage other people. Thank me later. You can make art with you partner or be inspired by your partners, because the 7th house represents our partners and how you interact with other people. It could also mean that your partner is artistic and pushes you to create music with him, her or them. Overall, I think working with others can fulfill you somehow.
Venus in the 8th house: You may create your music when you feel intense emotions, such as grieve, sorrow, sadness etc. The process of making music might be challenging for you and you'll likely have to deal with ups and downs while creating your music, because the 8th house is one of the hardest houses in astrology to deal with and is basically associated with challenges in our life. This placement can also tell me that you're someone who lock the room and make/record the music in silence or in places where there's no many people. The 8th house is a very mysterious house, so it makes sense.
Venus in the 9th house: This house is about religion, luck, happiness etc. You may be inspired by the experience with your religion or with your overall life. Making music could be an adventurous process where you can expand your horizons. The 9th house also represents foreign land and higher education, which may indicate you collaborating with people from abroad or being inspired by international music from foreign culture. It can indicate you studying some form of artistic major too and that's where the association of the 9th house with the higher education comes.
Venus in the 10th house: If you have this placement, I want to tell you that you may be blessed when it comes to your career path (it depends on your Venus sign and its aspects, of course). You can basically make the whole career based on music with this placement. Your co-workers might be artistic and they might push you to navigate your talents and gifts as much as they can. The creating process of yours could be very professional and you may take that seriously. I feel that you might make the certain type of music that the general public expects to hear, because the 10th house is associated with reputation and how people perceive you.
Venus in the 11th house: This is another placement that can indicate you making music with the bunch of other people, especially with your friends, 'cause this house is about friendships, connections and networking. If you want to be a musician while having this placement in your natal chart, please find someone who can work with and share your artistic vision, because I don't think you can do everything on your own. I'll also encourage you to post your songs on any internet platforms if you can, because the 11th house represents internet and social media too. It seems to me that you may follow the music trends or even start the new one while creating your music. The 11th house is also associated with your finances and how can you make money, so you can make money with you music as well. Lucky you!
Venus in the 12th house: You're likely someone who is naturally talented in music or in any kind of art, but you mostly hide this side of you or you just make music in private and do everything by yourself. It's so sad if you hide your talents and gifts from anyone else, because I feel that you're so creative musically and you could make a good piece of art if you acknowledged your talents. I can also sense that you might create your music when you're emotionally in tune with yourself or when you have an adequate vision about how should the particular song sound. Hope that makes sense, lol.
Well, that's it! I really hope that you all can resonate with this observation. This is basically the second part of my astrology observation about Venus and to be honest, I got a little bit tired of Venus planet. So, if this astrology observation flop, I will not be surprised, haha lol. Overall, I hope you enjoyed it.
Best regards,
Paky McGee

this might be a weird question to ask, but id love to hear an adult opinion that's not toxic around it
lately ive been forced to work cause "you're a man, so suck it up" while I'm trying to study to get into a good university (been trying 4 years) and it's all sumed up with the whole 'young people don't want to work, they're all useless' and im not expecting solutions cause i cant move out and working and studying isn't something to manage after class start, so i just wanted some advice on how to cope with this bullshit of being called weak/useless over having no experience/disabilities and being made forced into it for now having a beard, im not sure if it's up your expertise, but right now a hopeful adult voice would kinda help a lot since its starting to make me spiral
on a more positive note, cause thats enough shit to read, i love your cats! they're all so cute, and, is there anywhere to see your oboe playing? I'd love to be able to hear you since i plan on going for professional music!
Not weird at all, and sorry for a later reply.
It's been so upsetting to see the hustle culture permeate throughout society. It's a real damaging mindset, that we have to constantly be grinding, monetizing every minute of our days, it seems.
I don't know your living situation, but if the money from a job isn't for expenses and is just disposable income, if you're fine living on a fixed budget, absolutely focus on your studies. School, and preparing for school, *is* work.
A lot of tumblr posts around here have a good, simple message that applies here: "your life is not an optimization problem".
You'll have plenty of time to work in your life, and your worthiness as both a man and a human being are not defined by your productivity. Do not feel pressured into feeling your only way to success (be it in love or in society in general) is to amass wealth. Once your needs are met, work/life balance really is priceless. It's going to be even moreso as a musician, where you are constantly practicing, auditioning, and traveling for jobs.
In studying music, you'll have opportunities very quickly to start gigging. *That* should be your outside job, not something entry-level in a coffee shop or in customer service.
Your teachers can likely help you find work and even get on some lists (join your local union!) if you are a performer. College as a musician should feel more like you're an apprentice than an academic.
You really want to focus on working in music asap, because the world is *very* small, and the more people you know, the more gigs you'll get. And a polite, well-prepared, on time ("to be early is to be on time...") musician will *always* get more jobs than a diva who is hard to work with. And speaking of being successful as a musician - now more than ever, you will need to learn to diversify -- so, that means learning how to teach, play multiple instruments, arrange/compose, be a music librarian, any recording tech you can pick up, freelancing 101, and how to be a contractor for other musicians. There is a reason why music is a 4+ year degree, and not a 2 year at most places.
(Side note: consider getting your AA first at a cheaper college, before you dive into music. And maybe during this period, you could take on a part-time job if you needed a little extra money. But only for the AA, if you can help it.)
If you need more ammo, also talk to the professors at the schools you're interested in and explain your dilemma -- my oboe professor literally had to have an intervention to my parents to convince them that I needed to focus on my music studies (back when my folks wanted me to double major in chemistry).
Good luck - I know it's tough convincing people that the performing arts are "real" work, but if you're the only one that matters for convincing, I'll be the first to tell you that being an oboist has been the hardest job I've ever done, and I say that as a guy now working full-time with a 6-figure salary in tech. Part of why I am semi-retired from orchestra work is that it's too *much* work for me right now!
(Also, alas, I have no recordings -- I did mostly live music, and while a lot got broadcast on local public TV, I don't know where any of those archives are.)

reasons why (in my opinion) the try guys hit the nail on the head with forming a subscription service where watcher fumbled:
try guys has already been making TV-caliber content for a while. without a recipe and phoning it in both feel like professional cooking shows, and the fact that they have actual celebrity guests adds to that. their audience is extremely familiar with them having this huge set and a ton of employees working to produce the videos they love. on top of that, they've been around longer. they mention at the beginning of the announcement they've been on YouTube for ten years, & dropout/CH similarly had been around for a while when it's streaming service dropped. try guys just always felt more professional & as a fan you immediately understand why they would need more money
(edit) also, they have formed an emotional connection between the audience and their employees! people love rachel & know how hard she works & want to see her get paid well for that work. not that the watcher team don't deserve that, but their audience is way less emotionally invested in their employees' wellbeings than with the try guys audience & their non-talent team (& I say this as a fan & regular viewer of both channels).
try guys already had experience with paid content that went over really well with their audience. their live shows proved that their audience was willing to pay a decent amount every once in a while for something cool, and they proved that they would actually provide something cool for that money. people pointed out how watcher neglected their patreon; the try guys made very good use of their live shows imo. and as a result, they are able to say "you'll get free tickets to the live shows!" which is a really good perk if you are someone who enjoys those. instead of paying $20 every once in a while for one live show, you can pay 5$ for free live shows and early content and exclusive new content.
plus, they also reveal their expanded cast, which is something all of their fans have been wondering about for over a year. it's not just keith and zach you get to see, but all of these people their audience now loves and is always talking about wanting to join the try guys officially. collectively the try guys announcement feels more positive in multiple senses, both in emotional vibe and in what the audience is getting out of this.
also: no one can say for certain whether or not they decided to keep posting on YT after the watcher debacle, but I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt & believe that they always intended to stay on YouTube. it makes sense as a business decision & it's clear they've been working on this for some time (despite what some people seem to think??). tbh I don't think they were trying to be cruel to watcher in their announcement, I think they just saw that shitstorm and understood they needed to make it clear to their audience that they are not making the same mistakes. EDIT: in the most recent trypod, zach confirmed that they have been planning to 1) create a streaming service 2) keep posting content free on YouTube since 2023. so, no, they did not create 2nd Try or decide to stay on YouTube because of Watcher. stop trying to manufacture drama.
also also: they have, especially in the trypod, been very candid about their struggles with the algorithm and appealing to youtube's demands for content. in one episode I remember them talking about how they wanted to reject the "constant expansion" mindset, placing more focus on what their existing audience wants rather than trying to constantly get new people. they have been open about how certain things they want to do are not viable because of monetization issues; smoke show is a recent example of this.
another edit: also in the recent episode of the trypod, Zach says that they reached out to Sam Reich of Dropout for tips on starting a streaming service & things to avoid. we have no way of telling if Watcher did this, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was also key in why they turned out differently.
tl;dr i think it comes down to what was presented (not leaving youtube, new content that wouldn't be allowed on youtube, free live shows, new cast), how it was presented (shorter video, focus on the excitement & positives, show of respect to those who can't afford the price), and the context surrounding it (being older, a reputation for more professional content, having prepared their audience for a big shift, having previously discussed issues with youtube and their content)
