I've seen in artwork/fics people having Dan Heng be someone who actually calls Naxy by "Anaxagoras" or, most of the time, really, "Professor Anaxagoras."
Which is something I agree with, but not because Dan Heng is very polite and respectful (unless you threaten his loved ones) because, as we have seen, that does not stop Castorice from calling him Anaxa.
No, I believe Dan Heng would call him by his full name because how many times he himself had to correct people for using the wrong name for him?
Obviously, people calling Dan Heng "Dan Feng" is not the same as people using a nickname for Naxy, but I still do believe that the moment he hears Naxy say "do not call me Anaxa" he would immediately call him Anaxagoras exclusively.

Thank you for the clarification!
I think an important part of the "D&D is easy to learn" argument is that a lot of those people don't actually know how to play D&D. They know they need to roll a d20 and add some numbers and sometimes they need to roll another type of die for damage. A part of it is the culture of basically fucking around and letting the GM sort it out. Players don't actually feel the need to learn the rules.
Now I don't think the above actually counts as knowing the rules. D&D is a relatively crunchy game that actually rewards system mastery and actually learning how to play D&D well, as in to make mechanically informed tactical decisions and utilizing the mechanics to your advantage, is actually a skill that needs to be learned and cultivated. None of that is to say that you need to be a perfectly tuned CharOp machine to know how to play D&D. But to actually start to make the sorts of decisions D&D as a game rewards you kind of need to know the rules.
And like, a lot of people don't seem to know the rules. They know how to play D&D in the most abstract sense of knowing that they need to say things and sometimes the person scowling at them from behind the screen will ask them to roll a die. But that's hardly engaging with the mechanics of the game, like the actual game part.
And to paraphrase @prokopetz this also contributes to the impression that other games are hard to learn: because a lot of other games don't have the same culture of play of D&D so like instead of letting new players coast by with a shallow understanding of the rules and letting the GM do all the work, they ask players to start making mechanically informed decisions right away. Sure, it can suck for onboarding, but learning from your mistakes can often be a great way to learn.

I just know in my heart of hearts that in "Star Trek" at one point, there was some moral panic somewhere on Vulcan (among the uppity sorts) because Human culture was "infecting" the local youth with their overly emotional, destructive, unproductive, frivolous, and uneducational ways.
And what was actually happening was that a bunch of Vulcan kids got really into 23rd-century "Minecraft" or something.
Small Vulcan child @ another Vulcan child: (in a tone that sounds flat to Humans but angry as hell to Vulcans) "You have compromised the optimization of my fortress. I am having an emotional urge to blow up your house... in Minecraft."

Be nice and don't mock tumblr users that communicate differently.
Examples:
1.) Typing quirks
2.) No punctuation
3.) Random Capitalisation
4.) Long run on sentences
5.) Frequently misspelled words
6.) Missing spaces between words
7.) Repeating words and sentences
8.) Posts audios and videos instead of typing
9.) Express themselves through custom emojis
10.) Use an AAC (Augmentative and alternative communication) device
Some users have intellectual disabilities, use speech to text, struggle with grammar, have hand tremmers, have high support needs, etc.
Regardless of how they communicate and their reason why, they still deserve respect. They are trying their best.

Silently, Shino listens to Karin's extensive opinion about the human race, which is a subject he's thought about often as someone who lives in symbiosis with an insect colony. This is a conversation that deserves a sit down, so he does, he sits down on the ground. As someone who views any form of life as important, Shino doesn't find Karin's thoughts offensive, nor does he find her comparison to the rat kind an insult.
Tumblr media
"Hm..." He takes a moment to gather his thoughts, because he does have a few things to say about it all. "We use the term 'animal' to separate ourselves from other living species. 'Animal' refers to everything that isn't us, but we do include ourselves in the animal reign in every biology books you will find. Humanity putting themselves above other species isn't an inherently abnormal trait to have. Why? Because in the world of 'to eat or be eaten', every specie will believe the same about themselves. Individuals, even. So, while we put a moral to it, it isn't an isolated behavior, but an evolutionary trait of preservation." Shino explains monotonously, his beliefs being very neutrally based on science facts rather than humane ideas.
"Some humans will indeed kill for money and power, the later isn't as imaginary as you might believe. In the grand scheme of the universe, it is futile. However, other species will do the same, many of which will kill to better their status among their pairs and win their right to breed. Some species also kill for pleasure."
"Social animal species aren't very different from us. Some will also use means of enslaving others for the benefice of their society, some ant species do it. These ants must also believe to be above these other species, much like us. However, what has been lacking in our observations of these other social species is something we do have as humans, and that we shouldn't underestimate so quickly." He raises a finger enthusiastically.
Tumblr media
"Empathy. Animals will show signs of it, they will help each other, but we've brought it farther, despite the atrocities we commit. Showing teeth is a sign of friendliness in our specie, but a sign of aggression in the animal kingdom. It's something to ponder about, I believe. Along the line, we've changed an aggression to a positive way of communication. Our facility to connect with others would also explain how certain animals feel safe to work at our side, like my insects."
Tumblr media
Nodding, she would take note of that. It definitely sounded like plenty of identifying information that she could figure out where they were. The one on this demon's island sounded very familiar but not enough so that she might have visited it before. Nevertheless, she clears her throat and continues on.
" Humans are animals that believe themselves not to be. To put it plainly. We think due to our higher intelligence that we aren't animals, and thus deserve more rights, that our lives mean more, when I believe none of that. Every living being has Chakra, and even dogs, cats, and other species can learn to communicate universally with us, and even harness their chakra to do jutsu. "
Tumblr media
" Yet people seem to believe themselves as better still. We allow experimentation, the cultivation, and control of livestock and other beings to do whatever we wish with in order to further our goals. I believe humans are deserving of no different treatment. Our intelligence is an evolutionary chance, and we aren't the only species to have it, so why is it we see ourselves as so much higher? When comparing other intelligent beings we do so in relation to ourselves who are believed to be the most intelligent beings known. A talking cat shows human-like behavior, but we can't even truly define human behavior, can we? Especially when it seems most of our unique and defining traits are not solely belonging to us. If anything we're lesser than those as we stake our entire selves on the intelligence that is not unique to our species. "
Tumblr media
" Not only that, but we do things just as any creature does. Horrible things that happen in nature happen in humans as well. I don't know why we should expect better when we're still animals down to our DNA. Morality is some, righteous subject people boast about being unique to humans but we can't even do that right as our morals align differently. At least in other animals, it tends to be more universal for some things in their behavior. I liken humans akin to rats, in the worst possible way. Because at least rats kill for food and survival. We kill for money and imaginary power over others. We're a species defined by our fear but desperately want to appear strong. It's pathetic really, and I don't hold myself to a higher standard either. I, too, am part of this species and don't believe myself to be any more than that. "

Nerdy subs are something I will never shut up about.
Listening to them talk and talk and talk while I smile and think about how I'm going to make their brains shut down in a few minutes. Thinking about their pretty voices begging me for more, thinking about their trembling whimpers, thinking about how cute they would look if I put them in their place. I just want to grab a cute nerdy guy by the hair and force him to his knees, pull his collar and make him follow me like the smart boy he is. I want them to infodump me while my hand slowly goes up their thighs and then see their confused face when they realize what I did.
Oh, and by the way, if you cupped a nerdy guy's face with your hands and pulled him closer, teased him by almost kissing him but never actually doing it, and then grinned while looking into their eyes, they will shut off their brain and become stupid for you.
