I like the general fandom trend to just take the plot of Hyrule Warriors as a loose guideline at best and just use the whole concept as a good excuse to get blorbos to interact across timelines, BUT I'm very disappointed that everyone is missing the comedic potential of a very specific squad of characters:
Young Link (aka Mask), who walks out of the nightmare of Majora's Mask and immediately gets portal kidnapped into a temporal war, takes one look at the whole mess and decides that you could not fucking pay him to admit to being the resident expert on Time Shenanigans. He introduces himself with the title of Hero of Termina, and definitely doesn't have any other ones, that would be crazy. Hero of Time? Never heard of him.
Tetra, who is a kickass pirate captain with zero patience for people trying to shove her into the Designated Princess role, and realizes immediately that Oh Fuck, this Hyrule has a lot of Ideas about how the Hero and the Princess are supposed to properly play their parts, the second they realize she's technically a Zelda they're gonna shove her in a goddamn dress and damsel her again, that's not happening. So she's definitely just a really cool pirate captain, nothing else going on here at all, definitely not the heir of the Hylian royal family in her time, that'd be crazy.
Ravio, who is literally just a palette swapped Link, meaning that the second his hood comes off, things are gonna get Awkward. There's no way in hell he's dealing with all that Hero baggage, that's Link work, so that giant bunny hood/mask is practically superglued to his head, and he's not taking it off for love or money.
Spirit Tracks Zelda, who is just in the Phantom Armour the whole time, and passing herself off as just a friendly ghost posessing a suit of armour to help the Hero of Spirits. Of course she isn't Princess Zelda, that's ridiculous, if she were a Zelda then people would start getting really weird about her technically being dead, and boy does that ever sound like a whole Thing she doesn't want to deal with, so she can't possibly be Zelda, she's just a nice ghost knight. Also, her teenage grandma is here, and that's kinda weird, so it's easier to just not admit to being royalty and avoid that awkward conversation.
Finally there's Sheik, who is not the Princess Zelda of the era straight up abandoning her war torn country for months at a time so she can risk her life in extreme cosplay for no clear reason, but is instead the actual Sheik from Ocarina of Time, who just beat Ganondorf like a month ago and is still trying to process what the fuck to do now. Also, he's been pretending to be a boy since he was ten, and is realizing there's a pretty good chance that he isn't pretending anymore, so that's a whole other can of worms. But for the last seven years of his life, being Princess Zelda meant certain death, so he's not really inclined to introduce himself like when in a new and stressful situation (not to mention he might actually just not be a girl named Zelda anymore), so he automatically introduces himself as just Sheik the spooky ninja man, and fuck he's in too deep to back out now, looks like he's committing to the bit. If you think you sense the Triforce of Wisdom on him, no you don't.
Cue shenanigans as the five of them attempt to hide that they're all actually kind of A Big Deal. The group motto is "Nobody says shit", which is usually delivered as a frantic hiss whenever someone slips up. Just the reunion between Sheik and Mask alone would be absolutely buckwild given how they parted, and how they're both frantically pretending to Not be involved with each other. For added hilarity and/or drama, Sheik gives his semi-bullshit cover story of having just been a friend of the Hero of Time, then runs into said Hero of Time and they both have to desperately pretend not to know each other, because if anyone picks up on the mountain of baggage between them then Mask is busted, and he won't hesitate to drag Sheik down with him out of sheer spite. Not to mention the weird balance of Sheik being used to this Link being a teenager that's actually a small child, and now has to adjust to Link who is a small child that's actually a teenager.
Also, i really feel like we're all missing out on the comedy potential of Ganondorf recognizing Young Link on sight and the two of them immediately launching into a grudge match with some extremely personal and specific insults on both sides. Meanwhile literally everybody else is just standing there watching, trying to process the fact that out of every single person that's been pulled out of time, Ganondorf only has personal beef with a literal nine year old.
I just feel like we're all really sleeping on the potential for Shenanigans here. The whole thing is an absurd mess, why not have some fun with it?

So I know Cass gave Steph Batgirl and bounced right before the reboot due to editorial interference trying to push her out of the family. But it made me think of what an actual passing of the mantle would look like on Cass's terms. Because if she's actually ready to give Batgirl to Steph it's because she's either got the Batman mantle or her ideal next step on the road to being Batman.
So Cass is ready, but she also knows Steph. And she wants Steph to feel confident in taking it. And because she's Cass she's not going to use her words and give Steph an uplifting speech about all the ways she knows Steph will make her legacy proud.
No, she's diving into her deep catalogue of reality trashy TV knowledge and creating The Ultimate Batgirl Trial. Survivor meets Ninja Warrior meets Total Wipeout meets the Chase but if the Chaser catches you due to you messing up questions she punches you in the face. With a splash of Love Island thrown in there because it's important to know how to read people and play them if needed.
Barbara is in charge of monitoring everything to make sure Steph doesn't die. Cass has complete faith in her best friend because she designed this all knowing Steph's abilities. Steph looks at the swinging axes with razor sharp edges and wonders if perhaps she accidentally exaggerated her CV to Cass somehow.
(She passes of course. And only throws up twice. Tim, Damian and Duke all attempt it once they hear about it and none of them make it past the fire breathing dragon statues. Tim gives up at the hologram of Lady Shiva, Damian fails the height requirement to swing on the lava rope and not fall in, Duke actually makes it a respectable amount but again those fire breathing dragon statues are just too vast and uh. Flamey.)

Soooo.,..we all know this certain dark temple inside the Nomicon…
Tumblr media
The temple of forbidden Knowledge of the shadow warrior…..
Hehehehe,,,,
I do have my own fan version of this mentioned ‘shadow warrior’, which i mentioned and kinda shown here…
I also did say there that I was working on his redesign….well… now, it is finally done!! And I can show him to you all!
Everyone, meet my version of the shadow warrior!!! (Real name: Habiki Norisu!)
Tumblr media
His colors were the most hardest and trickiest part ,, I’m pretty okay with this current design so far tho! (Hasn’t really changed much from that wip one-)
But hell yea. This is my fan version of the shadow warrior that I’ve had ever since like 2022 and has gone through a lot of changes back then and by a lot I mean ALOT! Like, holy shit.
Oh! And he used to be a part of the Norisu Nine, literally one of Finja’s dead brothers!! Hehehe,,, And yes, his actual name is Habiki. Norisu being his last name due to his family and clan the Norisu Nine and yeah you all get what I mean. I’m using ‘Norisu’ just like everyone else because I could NOT think of anything better.
Oh. And I fully decided that the rest of the Norisu Nine ain’t gonna be just all red like First Ninja. Nope. They’re all gonna be some different colors!! Yayyyyy. I’m cringe but I’m free.
Anyway, anyway…. Let’s just get straight to this guys info bby!!!!
———
Story/info:
Habiki Norisu was one of the members of the Norisu Nine. He was one of the oldest, a bit older than First Ninja. (Older brother hehehe-) just like the rest of the family, he truly cared for his clan and his duty as one of the ninjas, wanting to help people who could end up in danger as much as possible especially once the sorcerer was starting to cause havoc in japan.
Despite being mostly serious, he was a kind soul. He always was so sweet to the elderly and children, helping whenever he could. Even though he was most of the time quiet, He still was very genuine and supported his brothers greatly…..even though they sometimes ended up in arguments but hey, what siblings doesn’t do that? In fact, he mostly had the support role in the team, being skilled in creating useful things for combat along with so much more.
So Habiki, while he did use weapons and such, also went on to try coming up with/ finding and creating new types of more ‘magical’ abilities/skills and items that could, or at least what he thought could, really help out there for his family during battling…..expect, the stuff being made now involved dark and occult magic crafts, things that you wouldn’t think one of the ninjas that was going after a dark magic using sorcerer would do.
It was just supposed to be him wanting to try new things at first but then he got even more into it, then it just continued and continued….
He made so many things such as: Art of Healing, art of flying, art of telepathy, the ‘essence of terror’ (halloweenja) etc. so much stuff that he has thought of, all to try to overpower any dangerous threat such as current one being the sorcerer. It took many tries for each one to properly work, he tested some of them on some dead bodies of animals (with a slight feel of guilt but it was a little better then doing it on still living beings), he even sometimes used himself as a test subject. Yes, HIMSELF.
All the ‘testing’ he did on himself made a few not so good changes on his body such as parts of him slowly ‘decaying’, (not quite but it almost really looks that way) one of his eyes almost losing it’s sight and darkening, even his suit got effected a bit, that one due to testing he did with the essence of terror. It pretty much got so bad that he started putting some/few bandages on himself, just to cover the damage he has caused on himself.
Tumblr media
(Habiki back in the past, when he was still alive! and beginning to go through the dark effects and consequences of his actions.)
His family, of course, did not like any of this. They did not like what he was doing, both the creations he had came up with and what he did to himself. They have tried to stop him, telling him that he should not be doing this, that he could DIE. But he just always tried reassuring them, telling them that he would be okay and that he could handle it…..
Oh how wrong he was..
The dark and forbidden occult things he has created ended up being way more than this mortal human body could handle..
and he just finally realised this…during both his and his brothers final battle against the sorcerer in the Norisu village. That was when it all hit him at once. LITERALLY.
The ‘side effects’ that Habiki got from all the testing he had done on himself ended up suddenly getting so strong that day. He kept trying to push himself, even as he sat there on his knees all so badly injured along with the rest of his brothers….
But it all did nothing but corrupt his entire body until it felt like it was truly decaying, rotting, destroying his body completely until his final breath along side the others… excluding Finja who had watched their slow downfall with his own eyes…
…..
Now in the present, Habiki resides in the Nomicon along side his family….however, he stays somewhere much deeper and darker in the parts of the book.
Temple of Forbidden Knowledge of the Shadow Warrior.
And HE is the Shadow warrior.
He stays at a very hidden part of the temple, a room all for himself where he can’t be seen and disturbed. The only time he can be seen is when he just lets himself show up, yet that happens rarely.
Most of his siblings don’t really visit him there, one of them even holds a strong grudge against him because of the past. But there is only one who does whenever he gets the chance. First Ninja.
Whenever he could, he would go to the temple and find Habiki’s hiding spot which seemed almost so easy for him, to check on him and make sure he’s okay. Habiki often tells him that he doesn’t have to but Finja objects every time, so he just let him continue it… and he really appreciated it, it was nice to have some company after hours of being alone.
Even so, till this day, the shadow warrior still hides himself inside the temple. Not only because it’s his only home now but to keep his family safe….from what the occult things he had created and done centuries ago did to his entire being.
———
- Habiki, or should I say Shadow Warrior (or even SW for short), as said in the story, is currently located at a hidden room in the temple of forbidden knowledge, the one place that contained everything that was made by him in the past just before his death.
- SW’s body, due to all the testing he did to himself back then, is currently suffering from the corruption from all the dark stuff he did (along with his ninja mask and suit from bits of the essence of terror), even now in the after life. It doesn’t hurt as much as it used to but it still is trying to corrupt his mind, fill it with darkness, emptiness, apathy…
- since his body is still suffering with these dark and awful thoughts creeping into his mind, SW often needs something in order to put the whole progress on pause all the time for as long as possible. See those three orbs around his neck? THATS what is currently helping him so far. Inside those, is some kind of special handmade potion that works like a repellent.
Think of it like Eda from the owl house with her elixir! It’s similar to that but kinda different, as he goes to wear them or at least keep them close to him at all times instead of just drinking them. Well, he actually can drink from his own but he only does that if the ‘corruption’ ends up being way too much that the ‘repel’ effect doesn’t really help.
If SW doesn’t have these orbs with him for many hours, the corruption will go try taking over again, both over his body and mind. Once the dark corruption almost taken control completely, his appearance would end up looking…much darker than it already is.
Tumblr media
A more dark, scary Shadow warrior that mostly roams around the area….but won’t hesitate to attack anybody near him…..
- SW can use his creations for attacking, even though he doesn’t really need to fight so much anymore now that he’s in the Nomicon… but stuff like art of flying is still useful for him in a way! The only drawback is the fact that using any of these occult abilities can hurt his body all over again if he uses it way too much.
- now as mentioned in the story.. his family, except Finja, does not visit him at the temple really. It’s not because of hate tho, but because of FEAR. SW’s body and face underneath his corrupted ninja attire has changed so much that he doesn’t really look human anymore, making him almost unrecognisable. It’s like what’s left of Habiki is gone…
Finja, thought, knows that isn’t the case. No matter how different he is now, SW is and will always be one of his brothers, a part of the Norisu Clan, his family.
- Yes. SW is aware that Randy has used some of the stuff in the temple (in few episodes of the show and all of course). At first he wasn’t so happy about it since, you know, these things, originally made by HIM and made with not so light and nice stuff, can be VERY dangerous if used wrong.
- However, he has also got to see how the young boy actually got to put them to good use, mostly art of healing so far. That honestly surprised the man… made him even think that maybe, just maybe…. These ‘forbidden’ creations of his can be really used for good after all..
- just mostly for funnies and interesting fun story stuff, SW has beef with Kurai. Like- the all knowing chaos VS the Shadow warrior?? Hell yeah! I already imagine so many kinds of scenarios between them-
SW: you easily let yourself fall into chaos and transform your body to this….disgusting and demonic mess!? you are a disgrace to human kind!
Kurai: HA! Look who’s talking, shadow warrior!
(SW isn’t really apart of the NN AU tho… at least, I don’t know yet…)
——-
And that’s about it so far! I’m just glad to finally show him!
And yes, I do have my fan designs of the Norisu Nine as well but unfortunately they’re all still a big fat wip. And yes, they all have their own real names as well…
Anyway. Hope you all find this guy at least kinda cool. ^^;
Some things i really wanna doodle about this man…I even have a meme with him in it already being worked on!! So stay tuned for that-

had a galaxy brain moment and thought to myself, self, what if I put "james bond's natural habitat is being Put Through His Paces" and "James Bond parkour as a hobby :)" together
so bit of background, I was like trying to figure out how Q could put Bond thru his paces, like yeah training courses probably exist but is that fun? and sure there's like those American Ninja Warrior courses, but again... is that actually fun? or is that about Competing. and also it's so prescribed and also kinda contrived, there's no, like, organic joy to it the way dog show agility courses somehow still manage to have a bit of that (e.g. like those tunnels they have the dogs run through, like, it's gotta have that bit of Whimsy).
but anyway! I figured it out:
so after Q has his hmm wonder what Bond is up to let's check CCTV moment and sees he's been freerunning as a hobby,. he starts designing routes & paths for Bond to freerun!!! he can either do this thru the ol' giving directions over an earpiece, or he pushes the route to Bond's phone and that's an extra layer of enrichment in that Bond has to like mentally map out the route so he knows where he needs to go before he starts off.
and-- maybe not always, but def frequently- there's a fun lil treat at the end :3 like, one time his end point is some cafe and there's a pick-up order for a lil treat waiting for him. Another time he ends up at a restaurant and there's a takeout order for two (*ping* meet me in ---- Park, and do make sure there's extra sauce packets). Yet another, his last stop is some antique store and there's a fun little trinket (idk... like rly nice cuff links or sth) that he would enjoy that has already been paid for.
And sometimes the challenge is "here is your starting point, here is your end point, figure out the best route between the two to get you there most efficiently with least use of x/avoid cameras as much as possible/make sure to do xyz on the way." This last one has the fun option of replayability (figure out different, maybe better, routes) & also "can you beat your own high score?" to it.
In conclusion: here's how we can Put Him Thru His Paces and also Enter Him In a Dog Show (run the agility course), AND also Give That Man a (real) Hobby !!!!!

What reality tv shows do you think everyone watches
Anon I have to admit that I am not a TV watcher for the most part so I'm so behind on what is on and what is popular but I'm going to do my best and go with vibes.
I think Feyre got Rhys into Real Housewives. And hes all about it. He loves a good messy gossip session amongst the girls. He's picking sides. He's yelling at the TV. That and Vanderpump Rules.
Eris loves a good HGTV show. He feels like a design kinda guy and he's always looking for inspiration for Forest House after becoming High Lord. That place needs a reno after Beron. But he's not going to say no to a night in watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette. He also strikes me as a Project Runway lover.
Cassian loves the competition athletic shows like Ninja Warrior and Wipeout. He's convinced he could totally beat the record times on all the obstacle courses.
Azriel is a Survivor fanatic. He has watched it since the beginning. Loves it. Call me weird but I also think he loves Iron Chef. But he has a weakness for shows like Love is Blind or Married at First Sight. The whole concept fascinates him.
Lucien is hard. I don't know. Im going with something like Below Deck or Deadliest Catch. Something about boats - its a vibe lol.
Elain love the cooking shows all the way. Great British Baking Show is her top pick but any of the Food Network competition shows are her jam too.
Nesta, Emerie and Gwyn have girls night routine - binge watching together. Their top picks are Love Island, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Big Brother - in that order.

Predator: Killer of Killers (2025) review
Tumblr media
Plot: The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent - the ultimate killer of killers.
This is one of two (yes, two) Predator films coming out this year, and both directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who, following his success with Prey, has been given the keys to lead the entire franchise. We shall see how the Badlands film will pan out, though the look of the predator in the trailer isn’t instilling much hope, however with Killer of Killers, this straight-to-streaming anthology film feels more so as straight up fan fiction. All we were missing was a Jeffrey Wright narration in between narratives proclaiming “and ponder the question, what if?...” as this movie really does work by the basis of what if the predator faced against characters from these cool historical time periods. In essence not the worst idea, and there is some fun to be had with the kills, as with this being an animation it really does open up the doors for some smart and creative ways of ripping people apart in gory fashion without worrying too much about killing the budget. And truly this is gore galore, with so many decapitations every few seconds that it was more impressive when a character’s head stayed on their body.
Speaking of the animation, this reminded me a little of those Telltale video games like The Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us where they use cell shading to give off a comic/graphic novel feel. There are some interesting character designs, with the predators themselves in particular looking really cool and I’m certain will excite many a Predaphile. That being said, I wasn’t too sure about the 12 frames per second motion technique as it made the movements very rigid and feeling trapped between illustrative CG. Additionally as much as I enjoyed all the blood spilling and heads flying off, the kills did become pretty repetitive after a while that by the time the Top Gun segment came about I’ve had enough.
The biggest negative I’d say about this movie is by telling so many stories in such a short runtime makes the actual predator creatures Yautja look like a bunch of weak ass b**ches. The predator is supposed to be an overly powerful and hard-to-kill monster, and even though of course I expect the humans to always win, you at least one to see the predators give a good fight and show what they are made of. Even in Prey, the Comanche fighter Naru took a whole film to defeat the creature. Yet in Killer of Killers the heroes were defeating them within short 10 minute battles. As such this really makes the predators look useless. It’s like in the MCU where Kang the Conqueror was set up as the big bad only to be defeated by a bunch of ants in Quantumania. There’s just no stakes left and as such why should we care?
Overall score: 5/10

I am a little disappointed at how the Wolf Clan was set up as this enigmatic threat, and genuinely unnerving. Only to be completely swept to the side for the latter half of S2, being briefly shoehorned back in, and their enhanced forms were literally handwaved by the plot. It just felt really anticlimactic to me.
If you compare it to last season, Imperium was a consistent threat throughout, and its resolution was the season’s resolution, it was Sora’s. At least the Wolf Clan has the Shatterspin comics to flesh them out more, but it kinda adds to my feeling that the Tournament of the Sources, while it did do something interesting by combining elements and having a proper final battle against the master of all of them…
It ultimately just felt like a blatant, less interesting rehash of the Tournament of Elements, once you look back at the actual tournament aspect of the season. Most of the new elements were too esoteric, and their masters too brief and unconnected to their powers in terms of design to really care about. And the tournament took focus away from the actual antagonists, the Wolf Clan.
I remember seeing the enhanced Wolf Clan and thinking their red arms were meant to be a set representation of Shatterspin’s waves, too! There’s even a general with the Shatterspin armor. My speculation/impression was that Ras would use Nokt to train all of his warriors on Shatterspin, as a way to keep the ante up even after Rising Dragon was achieved. Because if it takes one Rising Dragon to counter one Shatterspin, what happens if there’s a whole army? Rontu and Egalt are either going to have to train a lot more students, and/or the ninja will have to work overtime.
Of course, I didn’t know we already had a Shatterspin comic that dispelled such an idea, revealing only elemental masters can use Shatterspin without turning into a giant wolf monster; That explains why Cinder’s the only user for a while, and why the Wolf Masks are otherwise used to create claws. This does have implications for Arin but we’ll just have to see…
I guess we’ll get more into the lore behind the purple and red coloration, because in S3 that seems to be a motif with the tornadoes, which are likely connected to this Storm Dragon set that the Forbidden Five are after; This entity is probably connected to, maybe even the source of Shatterspin, so it makes sense the enhanced Wolf Masks would tap into that latent power with the palate change. I’ve also noticed the giant red arms replace the standard claws.
But yeah, I know set/story discrepancies are always a thing. But the Wolf Clan’s new look really was just shoehorned in, it didn’t make them feel anymore menacing when they still struggled against powerless fighters, and they’re ultimately defeated offscreen and locked in a cage. It was pretty underwhelming, especially since the army so linked to the Forbidden Five is going to be ditched for the Dragonians in S3, which is where the Five will truly get to shine.

The Sales Talent Gap: Why Engagetal Exists and What We’re Here to Change
Tumblr media
Let’s be honest. The world doesn’t celebrate salespeople the way it celebrates coders, marketers, or designers.
There are platforms to help developers grow. Communities where designers showcase portfolios. Courses that help marketers stay on trend.
But what about the people who actually bring in the money?
What about the SDRs dialing through rejection, The closers turning cold leads into contracts, The consultants coaching teams to beat revenue targets?
They’re the real revenue engine. And yet, they’ve been undervalued, underpaid, and underrepresented for far too long.
⚡ The Real Problem
Sales professionals have never had a dedicated platform that respects their skillset.
Job boards treat them like generalists.
Companies hire them based on resumes, not results.
Freelance platforms don’t understand sales metrics.
And most importantly — there's no place where a top sales rep can build their career with pride and growth.
We saw this. We lived this. So we built something better.
🚀 Introducing Engagetal: Sales Talent. On Demand.
Engagetal is not just another hiring portal or freelancer platform.
It’s a global ecosystem built exclusively for sales talent and the companies that need them.
Our USP (Unique Selling Proposition) is simple: We focus only on sales, and we do it better than anyone else.
What We Bring to the Table
🔥 For Companies:
Pre-vetted talent — No fluff, just proven performers.
On-demand access — Hire closers, SDRs, or sales consultants as per your project needs.
Faster ROI — Stop wasting time training average reps. Get people who start delivering from Day 1.
Scale globally — Whether you're in New York or New Delhi, we’ll match you with the right fit.
We don’t just give you a candidate. We give you a sales weapon.
💼 For Sales Professionals:
Real recognition — No more being treated like a number. At Engagetal, you’re the main pillar.
Top-tier opportunities — Work with global brands, startups, and SaaS companies that actually value you.
Remote-first & flexible — Work from anywhere. Choose your deals.
Growth support — Upskilling sessions, playbooks, expert coaching & more.
This isn’t about “gigs.” It’s about building a career worth celebrating.
🌎 Why Now?
We’re living in a time where remote work has leveled the playing field, but sales hiring is still stuck in the past.
Engagetal is the future of sales hiring — One that doesn’t care about degrees or connections. One that rewards performance, resilience, and real results.
We are platform-first, people-obsessed, and built for both freelance sales ninjas and full-time revenue leaders.
🧠 What Makes Us Different?
We don't do everything. We only do sales.
We match based on track record, not just profiles.
We’re founder-led and deeply connected to the community.
And we treat every sales pro like a fking rockstar.**
Because that’s what they are.
📍 Where We’re Headed
We’re just getting started.
The platform is rolling out in phases — starting with curated onboarding, real-time talent matchmaking, and exclusive partnerships with companies looking to scale.
Very soon, we’ll offer:
✅ AI-assisted matching ✅ Performance-based ranking systems ✅ Sales bootcamps & certifications ✅ Community features & spot bonuses
All designed to make Engagetal the #1 destination for sales excellence.
🎯 Final Word: For the Sales Warriors
If you're a sales pro who’s tired of being treated like a number — If you’ve got the skills but not the platform — If you’ve closed deals in silence while others took the spotlight —
Engagetal is your home now.
And for companies tired of underwhelming reps who don’t deliver — This is your chance to hire the top 1% sales talent on demand.
We're building the future of sales. And we’re starting with the people who make growth happen.
📌 Follow this blog to see how Engagetal reshapes the global sales game. 📌 Want to join early or hire? DM us or connect with the founder: 👉 Saurav Kumar Jha
Let’s give salespeople the platform they’ve always deserved. 💼

Welcome Back!!!
Been meaning to ask you, do you think Neji has to go through clothes a lot considering he's wearing mostly white? Like thats a LOT of blood, dirt, grass stains, sweat, etc he'd have to constantly remove. Does Konohana have some of the worlds best laundry soaps or what???
This gave me a laugh hah, thank you so much for this ask! 🤭 Because I have spent a somewhat unreasonable amount of time thinking about the practicalities of the Naruto universe, I do have thoughts on this!
As I've said before, I love the white because of how much it says "You won't lay a single finger on me." Obviously we've seen Neji dirty and roughed up plenty of times, but it's the powerplay of it all that matters most. However, once all that blood, dirt, grass stains, sweat etc., do accumulate, what's a shinobi to do?
Before we get to that I want to say I believe most if not all clothes in the ninja world are made of sturdy cottons and canvases and other materials designed to take a lot of abuse. If you read up on, say, the gi worn during karate or judo, you learn they are made of similar materials with reinforced stitching for increased durability and better absorbing of sweat. Some will be lighter than others in order to facilitate better mobility. (I will mention that Bruce Lee's famous jumpsuit which inspired Gai and Lee's look was apparently made of polyester, which isn't ideal for dealing with sweat; in the anime it often looks more like spandex from how tight it is which is at least better for that.) I think Kishimoto generally draws clothing with a nice thickness and weight that helps reinforce this idea.
I also think they probably own a few different uniforms which is actually a semi-decent in-universe explanation for Cartoon Characters Who Only Ever Wear One Thing. (Especially since Naruto characters are seen in more casual clothes in their off hours.) I imagine Ninja Tailors are used to essentially doing bulk orders. And because ill-fitting clothing can be a distraction, keeping your measurements up to date would be important. So basically, as warriors, they would feel an obligation to treat their uniforms like a piece of equipment just like their kunai, and as they may regularly maintain their weapons and get new ones they would maintain their combat wardrobe.
To the actual washing question ... in some ways, white is better to wear for stains because you can use bleach fearlessly! An 'ideal laundry scenario' for example: Neji either does not use a deodorant or anti-antiperspirant, or uses a natural one which does not contain chemicals like aluminum. (The reaction of sweat with these chemicals is the primary cause for pit stains. Stains caused by this do not respond well to bleaching, sidenote.) If things were to stain, the stain is not given time to set and is instead immediately treated with cold water. (Hot water is good only for certain stains -- generally it's better to go with cold.) If needed properly diluted bleach is added to the wash and I guess everything in the colourful world of Naruto is pretty colourfast so they don't need to worry so much about bleach stains.
Of course, how much this ideal laundry routine is followed through on ... on the battlefield they don't have time for it and at home is every shinobi some kind of laundry wizard? Ehh. I think either them or people in their lives are probably more used to dealing with nasty stains because it's part of their culture, so it's not unlikely, but I can also see a lot slipping through the cracks. Clothes would slowly gain permanent stains and tears that need to be patched and would eventually be replaced, and though I think this is likely what's going on in-universe, it's not something we would ever see happening even if Kishimoto thought of it because if clothing is marked up outside of a combat scene you're going to be going "Damn, who hit him?" Not to say wear and tear is something that's impossible for an artist to convey, but damaged clothing tends to either indicate living in some kind of impoverished/difficult situation or active combat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Nagato before and after being sheltered and cared for by Jiraiya.)
I do like to imagine shinobi and their families swapping laundry and sewing tips, recommending tailors, enthusing about oxygen bleach versus traditional chlorine bleach and so on. Gotta keep yourself looking good when you're headed off to active combat!
TL;DR: I think less amazing laundry soaps (though I wouldn't say no to that) but more a good understanding of which fabrics work best as activewear in combat, and how to then treat these fabrics when they have been damaged is the winning combination!

Luke Braveheart + Last Ronin Mikey-Unicorn warriors eternal style + Kingdom Hearts Mickey style: While I can’t say that my attempts at drawing Last Ronin-Mikey at Mickey Mouse’s default Disney Mascot design and Kingdom Hearts 2 pose was ever gonna be perfect since god knows I couldn’t get that one right, but at least I got the Unicorn Warriors Eternal style and pose for Luke right, and out of the two pencil & colored penciled sketches I made on my Blick Material brand sketch book, which doesn’t seem to accept any inking/penning other than just charcoal pencils, regular pencils, colored pencils etc, I’m much more proud of my Unicorn Warriors Eternal styled sketch of Luke Braveheart from the isekai anime: Zenshu, since my Unicorn Warriors Eternal styled sketch of Luke is my favorite sketch I’ve ever made to be honest. Especially when I used Pac-Man’s Ghostly Adventures era eyes design to give Unicorn/Genndy-Luke Braveheart that very look that would make him so much more badass in that stylistic design already. Sorry I’ve forgotten to put his Scabbard on his left side waist where he keeps his sword in, but I still had a lot more fun making Genndy styled Luke Braveheart than the difficult time I had drawing Last Ronin-Mikey plus the 1987 era ninja turtles’ face designs always did indirectly make em' look like Mickey Mouse anyway lol, but I hope you folks like my two sketches of Luke & Michelangelo anyway of course.

30.) What is one common headcanon that you reject?
I've never been sold on portrayals of Donatello as deeply troubled about his martial upbringing, let alone as an outright pacifist who (by definition) thinks the use of violence is immoral.
Tumblr media
(^ The face of someone who thinks violence cannot be justified? Doubt.jpg.)
I understand how the headcanon's come about. Don's baseline temperament is mild, curious, and pretty unaggressive. The whole ninja / warrior / fighter / hero schtick is a smaller portion of his self-identity than it is his brothers, and if he had to hang up his bo tomorrow it wouldn't leave him at the same kind of loss it might Leo or Raph; he has other passions he noticeably preferences.
He's also a compassionate guy! There are several cases where he's the one throwing a hand out to his brothers and suggesting they take the risk of giving peace a chance: Nano, Zog, Jhanna, Cockroach Man. It's by no means unique to him - Leo's responsible for the uneasy truce they maintain with Karai for as long as they do, Mikey's the one to talk his brothers down during their scrap with Leatherhead, Raph initiates the friendship with Casey - but there's definitely a pattern.
There is still a really big difference between "would prefer not to attack someone he doesn't think deserves it" and "dislikes resorting to violence ever". This is of course complicated by the fact that Don is a protagonist in an action-adventure series which stipulates, as a genre necessity, the existence of people who conveniently 'deserve it' so we can have hours of guilt-free fight scenes, but I would still argue he is overall accepting of a reality in which he has to shrug and whip out a beatdown on a fairly regular basis, and even enjoys it more often than he doesn't.
Don's comfortable on the battlefield. He doesn't hesitate or navel-gaze about their straight-forward conflicts with the Foot, or the Purple Dragons, or the Triceraton army or the Garbageman or Bishop - they started it, they're harming others, so they gotta go down and he takes obvious satisfaction in making it happen. He doesn't abstain from the Battle Nexus - he's embarrassed to be the first of the family knocked out, and has no issues with making it clear from his B Plot position that he'll throw down in a second with anyone he perceives as a threat to his family. If he's not the most disciplined of the family when it comes to training (in part because he has other critical things to do!), he hardly goes out of his way to avoid it, and he grumbles enough when bested by his brothers to make it evident he's putting genuine effort in.
I've seen much made of the fact Don wields a bo rather than a blade, but let's be honest: he'll pick up rocket launchers if he has to. Whenever the family goes up against the Shredder in earnest, it's a kill mission, right? They try to kill the guy so many times, and not only does Don voice no objection to this, he designs huge chunks of their infiltration strategies and is the only one of the brothers to eventually succeed in landing a perma-kill, and he succeeds by building a giant mecha murder machine and dragging the Shredder facefirst into a drill. The stick thing is not really a commitment to doing minimal harm.
Fandom is as fandom does, and I'm hardly going to begrudge anyone who wants to explore a divergent universe where Don longs for a peaceful life, or really wants to interrogate the darker realities behind their 4Kids ninja lifestyle and decides Don is the best POV for such a story. People can do what they want forever!
It's just not something I care to lean into much myself, and not something I'm going to agree is particularly borne out by what is shown onscreen. Maybe being a ninja isn't the heart and soul of Don's life the way it is Leo's, but he clearly likes being able to help people, and likes flexing his skills in both physical and mental challenges, and accepts that violence is a tool in his toolbox that can aid in these things. Sometimes a goon just needs a good bapping.

Deleted the reblog where I ranted in the tags but I'm still kinda miffed so I'm just gonna list out some things so we all know
Obstacle courses are different than parkour, especially the Ninja Warrior style courses that are popular right now
Parkour does not??? Rely mainly on upper body strength?????
Men and women are actually not that physically different, and good coaches in any sport will work with your individual strengths regardless of gender
Ninja Warrior has a ton of women in both the training and professional circuits, and the main disadvantage women seem to have in the sport is their average height/wingspan, not any difference is strength or technique
Ninja Warrior obstacles are designed to push different areas of the body, with most focusing on body control and core strength over pure upper body strength
Pulling yourself over the bar and and jerking it and your body to the top would definitely take more upper body strength than the normal salmon ladder technique, which focuses on core and grip strength
People can be good at things without you needing to turn it into a weird battle of the sexes

Getting hype for mutant mayhem and rewatching rise, I’ve started to fool around with my own take on the turtles again (and also drawing some rise stuff again, look out for that later!)
I’ll definitely keep working on these designs and do full write ups on them later, but the basics are
Donnie- loves tech and music, so his head wrap is actually a daft punk style helmet. He is the most affective ninja of the group, using holograms and gadgets to gather and store information and stay hidden.
Leo-obsessed with being the teams strong leader, often times to their detriment. He’s also the blacksmith of the group, forging their weapons and helping donnie by making components for his inventions. Needs to learn to trust his team and their ideas more over the course of the story.
Mikey- mikey is, to quote rise leo, “a badass mystic warrior”. He learned to read ancient hamato texts that even splinter never fully figured out, carving the symbols needed to imbue magic into his nunchucks. Basically becoming a trickster, mikey tends to rush off and do things solo too often, but is learning to hone his magic to do things like healing, teleporting, and fire magic.
Raph- raph loves to bash heads, and tends to carry a ton of anger, but with meditation and therapy sessions with Mikey and splinter, he’s learned to control his anger over time. Now he serves as the teams tank, with shielding gauntlets made by donnie in addition to his usual sai and a pair of brass knuckles, it’s his job to cause a distraction, draw as many enemies to him as possible, and KO them before they realize the other 3 have made their way to the big bad.
