Oh mah gawd. He doesn't let anyone touch him unless they're his friends.

If they aren't his friends, he'll either lean away or wipe off his hand. He hates being touched if he's not the one initiating it, to the point of wiping his sleeve off when Lucifer's hat just BARELY grazed against it.

He didn't wipe his shoulder off when Charlie stopped touching him either.

Before You Say 'He did lean away', or 'She wasnt actually touching him, her hand was just near him', Take A Look At This!!

Look closely at how he moves when she splits them up. He doesn't lean away, she SHOVED him. She actively MOVED him. That wasn't an 'oh she's making contact with me, guess I should lean away', it was a 'well she's shoving me now, I'll shut up for a minute'.

Which also proves she WAS touching him. She couldn't have shoved him if she wasn't making contact.

He didn't lean away from it, he didn't retaliate. The ONLY people he lets touch him are people he cares for. And not only did she put her hand on his shoulder, she actively pushed him back, and he showed no sign of discomfort towards it. So why am I screaming about this?

Because he DOES care! It proves he cares for her. Don't get me wrong, I still think saying he's her 'dad' is a bit of a strech, but he does care enough to let her touch him. He doesn't dislike or even have a neutral opinion on her. She's his friend, even if just a little bit.

Just an edit to clarify; I know 'friends' is probably also not the best word to use, but it's just the easiest way for me to describe it.

Are the people who keep complaining that jason got away with what he did completely unscathed actually okay? Like, did we read the same comics? There's extremely little I can think of that didn't happen to Jason as "punishment"

like why are the people who want him to be punished forever not happy he is already getting punished forever what else do you want

I want to make an AU where Bill was never evil but his personality is still the same outside of that so the Pines twins show up to stay with their Great Uncle Stanford and he introduces them to his husband who's just. A funky little chaotic triangle creature from another dimension. He gives them deer teeth as welcome presents and both he and Ford (who is extremely accustomed to his weirdness after 30 years together) act like that's a Perfectly Normal Thing to Do. Dipper is LOSING it, Mabel is LOVING it (she makes a necklace and earrings out of them)

Okay but like Mentor!Maysilee AU where she wins the quarter quell instead of Haymitch and thus has to mentor Katniss and Peeta

They play into the “meanest girl in town” for her victor edit and propaganda

She’s not sure how but when they watch the recap of the games she sees they’ve somehow spun her meanness and insults and cruel comments as something she was directing towards the districts instead of the capitol they make her seem every bit the one dimensional stuck up rich girl everyone believed her to be they make her seem like a traitor to her district

If people back home, especially from the seam, didn’t hate her before they certainly do now and she can see it in the way the tributes look at her year after year

It’s tough mentoring her peers in the early years, they see her as a traitor and then she realizes any hope of it getting easier is in vain because their children have grown up with the propaganda fueled stories about her

It’s the worst kind of propaganda too because it’s rooted in truth and there are some stories of behavior she’s not proud of but that she can’t deny, the capitol hasn’t exactly reinvented her image just twisted it and that makes it so much worse

Her parents and sister are killed, not even the merchant class kids want to associate with her, Asterid tries to comfort her but she can see how her reputation is damaging Asterid’s and she’s worried about Snow coming for her too so she wields that meanness again and pushes her away with awful comments about her and Burdock

Asterid sees through it but ultimately decides to keep her distance

When Katniss is born though a small box with a gold Mockingjay pin shows up on Asterid and Burdock’s doorstep and the same thing happens with a hummingbird pin when Prim is born

Peeta’s Mom had grown up telling him about Maysilee and how cruel and awful she was, how she thought she was better than everyone else, his dad seemed to have more sympathy but any defense he might have spoken his mom made sure to shut down by reminding her husband of all the names she called him too

When Prim and Katniss come home with stories from other kids about Maysilee and her cruelty Burdock simply looks to his wife and without looking at them she simply says that people are complex and Maysilee is no different

When Maysilee waits for them on the train all she can think about is all the horrible things they must’ve heard about her

But she’s surprised when she sees Katniss wearing that gold Mockingjay pin and she realizes very quickly that Peeta takes more after Otho than his mother

When it comes to the actual mentoring she’s even more surprised, usually the tributes, rightfully mistrusting of her, talk to her as little as possible or combat her advice and opinions at every turn or make snide comments about her being a capitol bootlicker until she snaps and inevitably says something insulting or mean and they say something to the effect of how their parents were right about her

But these two are fighters and aren’t deterred by her jabs, in fact, they can dish it back as good as they can take it and it actually becomes fun

She realizes Peeta reminds her of Merrilee

Despite the fact that it’s clear she is Asterid and Burdock’s daughter the person Katniss reminds her of is actually Haymitch and the familiarity of trading insults hurts more than she expected

Am I using this fine afternoon to vividly imagine a post break up scenario where Tommy by a relative’s tragic death circumstance finds himself as the sole guardian of a 6 month old baby.

Staring at the conversation thread he had been so close to going back into. But then his eyes flickered up to the little sleepy body in front of him and he knows he can’t do it. How could he ever ask Evan to come back to this? How could he ask him to go slower now?

Resigning himself to doing it like he always does. Alone.

It might just be the 1940s/noir detective look I gave him but Skeptic seems like the type to carry a pistol. Since the Construct wasn't based in a time period with guns it would be hilarious if he didn't even know what it is. He just reaches in to his pocket or something on his belt and "oh what is this?" Then hides it somewhere carefully knowing that SOMETHING about it is dangerous. Skeptic doesn't trust this random object and that's enough for everyone else.

Though it would be hilarious if one of the other Voices knew how to use a pistol. And while I do love Contrarian, I feel I should give someone else the odd knowledge of something they shouldn't have knowledge of. I don't know why but I think it would be Hero.
