One of the funniest parts about the whole “Leo not giving Draxum any grace” idea is that Draxum is one of the ONLY notable older men in the show that Leo isn’t willing to give a proper second chance to OR really hear out in the first place.

um. umm thinking about if mikey developed a like. kraang 6th sense. bc of the norman suit they obviously knew bishop was a kraang/utrom but just thinking about if, unlike mikeys usual ability to sniff out dangers and fakers (like aprils "mom") bishop and utrom just. unsettled him. its totally unintentional and he feels sort of bad but after everything in dimX he Cannot be comfortable around kraang/utrom. at least for a long time. idk!

also thinking if the brothers learned from mikeys proven abilities to sniff out these false allies, theyd maybe double check bishop with him. like "hey, mike, this guy isnt setting off any alarms, right?" and pushing past all the KRAANG KRAANG KRAANG DANGER signals hes begrudgingly like "...no. no hes good. grins"

So, it turns out that in that hilarious series of Paramount+ commercials, the 2003 turtles appear a grand total of four times

The first one chronologically has a very brief shot with Leo and Mikey standing in the background at the beginning

Then there's the most well known commercial, which is the one that contains that brief and extremely hilarious shot of Leo directly to the right of RuPaul (though we never acknowledge Elmer Higgins from Crank Yankers and Snooki being there too...)

There's the one where they stumble across the cave paintings that feature Leo and Don

Their final commercial appearance is a clear shot of Leo and Mikey, with Splinter popping up from a manhole that apparently exists on Paramount Mountain (he actually speaks, but they clearly didn't bother to grab Darren Dunstan for that one two word line lmao)

For the most part, yeah it's good. Splinter still has his flaws of course, as much as he loves Donnie he isn't always very good at showing it, and he's still dealing with some pretty intense depression.

That being said, taking care of one mutant turtle child, while still hard, is significantly easier than care of four. Because of that, Splinter in this AU is able to dedicate a lot more time to Donnie. On the flipside, because Donnie doesn't have any siblings to entertain him, he seeks out Splinter for company a lot more, and Splinter isn't always able to give all of the attention that he needs. But overall, I'd say they are closer in the AU than they are in canon, considering they've mostly only been able to rely on each other for so long.

they'd have no idea how to coordinate his wardrobe because they do not have the eye for fashion that donnie does, so i feel like this would come in the form of having to be extremely eagle-eyed about everything he so much as Glances at for more than a split second because when they asked him he got Weirdddd. he had fun when they got trapped by hypno though which is probably where the idea came from in the first place

I've decideeeed to do a "draw fast" experiment this week. Basically: given a sketch I already have on hand, I have to get to "finish" (new line art, flats, & shading) in under two hours - the closer to 1hr, the better.

The idea with this is that, like... trying to get a fast time will keep me from sitting and overthinking things, then fidgeting with it. I just gotta get stuff on the page. Don't know how, if at all, it'll help my art, but I think it'll be fun.

I figured my "three iteration" sketches I did last week were good ones to use, so have some Leo's for today. This one was at 1hr 32min.

i'm kind of sad that his character always gets really watered down he's actually got like. a lot of shit going on in the original comic series to work with. His name was Jason, but the rise series already has one of those, so I changed his name to javi (pronounced like an h) moretti.

Leo being put into a situation where there is absolutely no fighting, just verbal manipulation and perception games, would be amazing to witness. We see a lot in the series how good he is at subterfuge and how he uses his perception to manipulate to great effect, so it’d be so cool to really see it put to the test even more.

Manipulation is one of the most effective tactical strategies of all time, so just imagine Leo putting this skillset of his to the full test. Imagine the boys slowly get up to busting bigger and more powerful criminals, including those with networks of crime under their belt, and a simple fight isn’t enough to take them down. For criminals like this, Leo’s skills in subterfuge would be deadly.

I am once again putting Draxum in a dress, this time on based on 1920s flapper dresses.

[I.D. Draxum from ROTTMNT. He has one hand on his hip, the other hand held up in a loose fist. He looks off to the side and frowns, pinning his ears back slightly. He is wearing a blueish purple sleeveless mid-thigh length dress that has a serrated hem lined with silver fringe and silver patterns across the dress, as well as a thin headband with a feather and several beads coming off of it. The waist area of the dress has several large silvery circles, the middle one being the largest and the others diminishing in size as they go farther from the center. Draxum has several scars on his arms and legs, as well as pale, lightning-like patterns reaching from his fingertips to halfway down his forearms.
